In a bid to make Albert Square as authentic as the real East End of London, the BBC is reportedly building a mosque on the set of EastEnders.
It is hoped the new addition to Walford will ‘better reflect’ London’s real East End on the BBC’s Elstree Studios, as well as provide scope for more storylines, and it comes as part of a £15million makeover for the soap.
