James Martin has shed some more light on why he stepped down from presenting Saturday Kitchen after a decade – citing the ‘colossal sacrifices’ he has made for the sake of his career.
The 43-year-old broke the news of his departure from the show on Tuesday, saying he will bow out at the end of March.
And in an interview with Readers Digest, the chef and restaurateur went on to reveal that his success has come at a price elsewhere.
‘The sacrifices you make are huge. All your mates are married and have children,’ he explained.
