Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan has called the This Morning team ‘snivelling little bast**ds’ in a joke rant at the TV Choice Awards.
The TV presenter laughed that his fellow ITV colleagues always won the awards and that he ‘hated’ them all.
Appearing on stage to present Lorraine Kelly with an award, Piers congratulated the This Morning team on winning best daytime show – for the fourth year in a row – and said: ‘Love you so much.
‘Actually I don’t love you I hate you, you snivelling little bastards. Every time we come to these things I am told it’s our time.’
To uproarious laughter, he added: ‘It’s never our time, it’s always their time, f**k you and f**k your awards.’
The cream of the crop of television were honoured at the highly-coveted TV Choice Awards with big successes for Line Of Duty.
The BBC drama, which was officially named one of the most-watched shows in a decade, scooped the gong for best drama series following a gripping fifth series which aired earlier in 2019.
Adrian Dunbar was named best actor for his role as Superintendent Ted Hastings, beating the likes of Bodyguard’s Richard Madden, Poldark’s Aidan Turner and his co-star Martin Compston.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! walked away with best reality show for the eighth year running while outstanding contribution to television went to ITV star Lorraine Kelly.
