Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) was the unluckiest out of all the Friends stars when it came to the romance department, clocking up three failed marriages in the 10 years the show was on air.
The palaeontologist left a trail of doomed romances in his wake, from poor Bonnie who shaved her head, to Emily, who still married him even after he said the wrong name at the altar.
Which still gives us horror flashbacks to this day.
And his worst nightmare has come true as two of his exes, Elizabeth (Alexandra Holden) and Mona (Bonnie Somerville), have banded together to fight their corner, insisting they were wronged.
Not only that, the pair have taken a second to defend all the Friends exes of the past, ‘demanding justice’ for those who had been cast aside and never spoken of again.
‘We’ve been wronged,’ Alexandra fumed, resurrecting her role of student Elizabeth. ‘Did the friends even like anybody but each other?’
‘They only let one person into the circle for good and that was Paul Rudd,’ Bonnie continued.
‘Sure, fine, he doesn’t age. But what does Mike Hannigan have that Mona doesn’t?’
The Elizabeth actress questioned: ‘Does Theodore and Bitsy’s Park Avenue penthouse make him better than Pete Becker, the inventor of Moss 865? Or Janine, the inventor of clean, dry towels?’
Well, Theodore and Bitsy’s place did have 13 bathrooms.
Not that Phoebe used any of them to throw up, but anyway…
‘So today I ask you to band together to honour the exes of Friends,’ ‘Mona’ explained to Entertainment Weekly, while ‘Elizabeth’ added: ‘And Ross, we knew the whole time that it wasn’t frowned upon.’
Shots. Fired.
But, to be fair to the Central Perk gang, not all the exes were wronged – Gary shot a bird, let’s not forget, and Chip Matthews was very slimy.
And don’t even get us started on Paolo…
Friends is available to stream now on Netflix.
