Lisa George has been confirmed as the sixth contestant on Dancing On Ice 2020.
The 49-year-old actress, known for playing Beth Tinker in Coronation Street, announced her involvement on ITV’s Lorraine, where she revealed how she wanted to join the series to coincide with her 50th birthday.
Speaking about joining the show, Lisa said: ‘I haven’t been on the ice for about 40 years. Yesterday was my first session on the ice. It was good, I really enjoyed it, I didn’t fall.
‘I was a bit scared, I was quite nervous. I can’t believe I’m 50 next year and I just thought “if I don’t do this now I’m never going to have the chance to do it again”.’
She’ll be joining Love Island’s Maura Higgins who confirmed her involvement on This Morning, along with presenter Michael Barrymore.
Footballer Kevin Kilkane was announced as the third contestant, followed by ITV newsreader Lucrezia Millarini as the fourth.
Ian ‘H’ Watkins from Steps was revealed to be the fifth contestant on Good Morning Britain.
Next year’s series will be the first without judge Jason Gardiner, who quit the show earlier this year and will be replaced by John Barrowman.
Ashley Banjo will remain on the judging panel alongside Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Dancing On Ice kicks off in January 2020 on ITV.
