The Loose Women discussion got pretty heated when panellist Carol McGiffin accused Kaye Adams of ‘always wanting the last word’.

It all got a bit awkward.

The panel spoke out about whether Boris Johnson should apologise after his controversial remarks that the best thing to do to honour late MP Jo Cox’s memory is to get Brexit done.

The ladies, who recently saw the welcome return of Stacey Solomon, were divided, with Nadia Sawalha admitting they’d had a ‘humdinger’ of a row earlier on in the day.

With the panellists speaking over each other, Kaye attempted to move the conversation on.

However, Carol wasn’t having any of it, telling her: ‘You’re just too annoying! You’ve always got to get the last word in so no one else can challenge or argue with you,’ before asking the audience: ‘She does, doesn’t she?!’

Bit awkward.

Kaye understandably looked a little hurt, telling her: ‘Go on then, it’s all yours.’

However, things were running a little more smoothly earlier on in the week, when the panel celebrated Stacey’s return.

The ladies were clearly delighted to have their pal back, with baby Rex coming on the show as a guest star.

‘Lots of people asked me to bring him in…it’s so nice when you work somewhere and people let you bring the baby in,’ she explained before quickly joking: ‘It won’t be every day!’

Despite being a pro on the daytime show, she admitted she had some first day nerves, confessing: ‘I never thought I’d sit in this chair and be nervous but when it’s your first day back your tummy goes a bit.’

As expected, she absolutely smashed it.

Loose Women continues weekdays at 12:30 on ITV1.
