Alex Magala has failed to make it through to the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions final, losing out to Bars And Melody.
The 30-year-old wowed the judges and audience with his sword-swallowing skills, with Simon Cowell and David Walliams left particularly horrified after each pulling a blade from his mouth.
In the last show before the final, it was between Collabro, Bars And Melody and Alex Magala for the final spot – with Twist And Pulse landing Alesha Dixon’s golden buzzer.
After Collabro finished in third place, hosts Ant and Dec announced Bars And Melody had topped the vote from super fans in the audience, sending them through to the final.
The duo themselves were surprised by the result, with Charlie Lenehan saying: ‘I just want to say, I really didn’t think we would win that. Thank you guys so much.’
Pointing to Alex, Charlie added: ‘Bro, you’re incredible and I love you.
‘I love you guys, I love the nation. Thank you so much.’
However, it seems no one watching on at home was too impressed with the decision, as upset viewers flocked to Twitter to question the result.
One fumed: ‘As much as his act scared me to death, I was hoping Alex would go through to the final! #BGT.’
‘Proof that you can never trust the public to vote #bgt #BGTChampions,’ another commented.

Alex auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent back in 2016 and has appeared on numerous editions of the show across the world, even winning Russia’s Got Talent in 2014.
Bars And Melody and Twist And Pulse are the last acts through to the final, joining dog act Alexa Lauenburger, daredevils Bello and Annaliese Nock, illusionist Darcy Oake, sand artist Kseniya Simonova, MerseyGirls, dancers Paddy & Nico, comedian Preacher Lawson, and Stavros Flatley.
Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions concludes next Saturday on ITV.
