Strictly Come Dancing lost another couple this week.
Strictly’s Halloween week was already dramatic with the things that go bump in the night being the contestants – from Will’s worrying fall to Neil’s no-show after hurting himself.
But in true Halloween style, the victim count kept rising. Which star didn’t survive Halloween week’s cut?
Who was voted off Strictly?
Ex-Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley was the fifth star to hang up her dancing shoes.
Catherine and her partner Johannes found themselves in the bottom two alongside Mike Bushell and his dance partner Katya Jones.
After performing their routine – the Cha Cha to Steps’ Scared of the Dark – a second time, Catherine lost out in a tight vote.
When it came to the judges’ decisions, Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Catherine.
In making her vote, Motsi said: ‘I felt a strong performance, stronger body actions, stronger leg actions.’
However, Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Mike and Katya, leaving the decision in the hands of head judge Shirley Ballas – here’s hoping fans don’t get carried away again.
When it came to making her decision, she said: ‘Well, I thought both couples really step it up a notch and this is always the most difficult decision for me, but based on a good focus, difficult content, with some really beautiful footwork… I’m going to save Mike & Katya.’
Catherine took the decision well, vowing to carry on dancing. She told Tess Daly: ‘I never thought I’d say this, I’m going to keep it up because I fell in love with it! I’ve loved every second, this man [Johannes] has changed my life!’
Last night’s episode also saw the professional dancers led a spooktacular routine to Britney Spears’ Toxic to open the show, followed by a smash performance from American-Idol-turned-Queen-frontman Adam Lambert.
He performed his latest single Superpower.
The series is now down to its top 10 couples, and continues next Saturday night on BBC One at 7pm.
