Paranormal investigators were left feeling sick for weeks after filming in the house that was home to the real-life basis of The Conjuring.
Ghost Adventures: Curse of the Harrisville Farmhouse will head to the creepy home which first gained notoriety by the reports from Ed and Lorraine Warren, famed paranormal investigators whose tales have since become numerous movies.
The team is fronted by Zak Bagans, who has gathered a collection of macabre possessions including supposed haunted dolls through to true crime pieces like Ed Gein’s cauldron and Ted Bundy’s glasses.
To ensure they were prepared for any dark turns, they were joined by demonologist brothers Carl and Keith Johnson.
But speaking with the Review Journal in Las Vegas, Zak has admitted to feeling like something was ‘drawing the life out of him’ during his investigation.
‘I was extremely ill, very sick, for about three weeks after that,’ he said. ‘I wasn’t myself, albeit I was on a long trip. There were things going on with me that just seemed out of the norm.’
‘It really, I believe, made me sick. I had anxiety and panic levels that were just so unusual,’ the investigator added.
‘I didn’t look like myself. I didn’t feel like myself. I didn’t wanna be around anybody.’
The horrific and sinister home is just one of the many places Zak and the team went to, including claims of finding an ‘entity that caused Ted Bundy to murder’.
The Harrisville Farmhouse dates back to 1736 and has been noted for a number of unexplained experiences including flashing lights, moving items and scraping noises.
Owned by the same family for eight generations, it’s believed by paranormal experts that the family was cursed, with many being murdered, dying by suicide, or suffering horrific accidents.
Ghost Adventures: Curse of the Harrisville Farmhouse airs Thursday in a two-hour special on The History Channel in the US. A UK date is currently unknown.
