Holly Willoughby struggles without team on This Morning as she resorts to ironing dress while wearing it: ‘I’m a really lazy girl’

This Morning may still be airing during the coronavirus pandemic and nation-wide lockdown, but hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have had to deal with a skeleton crew both in-front of and behind the camera.

But today, the duo shared that they’ve had to pick up a lot of odd jobs around the set themselves since a lot of the make-up and costume crews are not currently on-set.

The Dancing on Ice presenters were talking about crew member David O’Brien, who takes care of their make-up and wardrobe, when Holly actually made a confession about her ironing skills – or lack of.

‘Do you know, I was thinking of [David] this morning,’ Holly told viewers. ‘As I couldn’t quite be bothered to iron my dress myself.

‘So I put the end on top of the ironing board as I was wearing it.’

She continued: ‘I thought to myself, I am a real lazy girl.’

Tough times, Holly hun.

Luckily, she was being hid behind a desk just in case we could see if she singed the ends. We’ve all been there, right?

While Holly and Phil are still broadcasting to the nation during these troubling times, it seemed as if the pressures of quarantine were weighing down on the pair last week as they teared up over social distancing.

‘Thank goodness we’ve got each other,’ Phil said. ‘You’re a long way away but thank goodness we’ve got each other.’

‘Oh my god, you’re gonna make me cry!’ his partner admitted, immediately getting emotional.

Maybe it’s not all bad news for Holly, however – Paul McKenna also popped by the studio and tried to cure her addiction to chocolate to stop her snacking in lockdown.

The hypnotist managed to make her associate the taste of chocolate with tinned tuna – so we can assume that’s one habit kicked!
