Doctor Who fans certainly haven’t been letting the coronavirus lockdown hold them back, recreating their favourite moments from the show at home.
In the words of the ninth Doctor, ‘fantastic!’
And there are plenty of eras to chose from, with fans dressed as daleks, to a brilliant adaptation of Jodie Whittaker’s iteration of the Time Lord.
Homemade Who is inviting fans to get in on the action, by recreating their favourite moment from the past 12 series of the show’s modern era to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the show’s revival.
Whether your favourite era came with Christopher Ecclestone, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi or Jodie, or if you prefer villains over heroes (we’re hoping to see some amazing Masters), they want to see it.
Homemade Who said: ‘In the true spirit of Doctor Who, this is all about old-school creativity and imagination using whatever you can find at home.’
You heard them!
A compilation video will be released in May, with the best entry winning a themed prize.
Videos should be 5-30 seconds long, with no text/titles or music overlaid, and sent to video@homemadewho.com . If you’re filming on your phone, film in landscape (not portrait!). The deadline for entries is midnight on Thursday 30th April 2020, and you can read the full entry guidelines here.
Whovians have definitely been keeping themselves busy amid lockdown, with watch parties galore.
In fact, John Barrowman blessed us all with a Torchwood rewatch, as he revisited fan fave Captain Jack Harkness.
John returned to screens as Captain Jack earlier this year, when he made a surprise appearance in Doctor Who.
The immortal Torchwood operative hadn’t been seen on screen in years, with the Doctor going through a face change or two since.
As it happens, it was one regeneration too many for Jack to keep up with – as he reappeared and immediately planted a snog on the lips of Graham (Bradley Walsh).
What can we say? It was too on-brand for him – and, as it happens, a cracking moment for fans to try and recreate.
You’re so welcome.
Doctor Who is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
