A brand new series of How To Get A Council House has kicked off on Channel 4 and it seems to got under everyone’s skin.
TV viewers were upset, angry and annoyed after the first episode aired tonight with many venting on Twitter.
The programme introduced us to Portsmouth local Luke, Romanian migrant Vasile and 61 year-old Gordon – all desperate for housing.
Many people were angry that some were looking for funding from the council to subsidise their homes while others were furious at the lack of services, which left vulnerable people on the streets.
People from Portsmouth seemed to be ashamed of what a bad light it cast on the city.
