First auditions are great aren’t they? You can no longer imagine anyone else playing Ser Davos, Melisandre or Brienne Of Tarth but there was a point where these actors, some of them unknown, had to fight off other competition and fight for the roles they have made theirs.
Game Of Thrones embarrassed some of its most distinctive stars at the San Diego Comic Con by revealing a showreel of some of their first auditions – and it’s a real treat for fans of the HBO fantasy show.
