Logan Paul claims he’s a ‘full-time wrestler’ despite reduced WWE schedule

Logan Paul has insisted he’s ‘technically a full-time wrestler’ despite his relatively light WWE schedule.

The controversial YouTube – who made his in-ring debut for the company at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas – has had just seven matches since April 2022, which is a far cry from the multiple bouts a week most of his peers endure.

However, he pointed to his own contract with the company – having signed a new multi-year deal earlier this year – and insisted he’s not just there to ‘partake’.

‘I am technically a full-time wrestler. I’m on the roster, I have a contract, and it’s also a goal of mine to get WWE championships. I didn’t just come to partake. I came to take over,’ he told Ariel Helwani.

‘You don’t do that if you’re hopping in and out of the sport. So we gotta find time to box and find time to wrestle, and they’ve been very accommodating.’

Logan’s most recent match was a win over Ricochet at Summerslam early last month, while he previously lost to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39 in April.

In between those, he was part of the signature men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match at London’s O2 arena, and he started his year competing in the men’s Royal Rumble.

On October 14, he’s returning to boxing to fight Dillion Danis as he continues to try and fit his various projects around his WWE commitments.

‘I really don’t know what else to do. I have this frame that is attuned for combat. I like to work hard,’ he added. ‘I like to beat people up. I like when they try to beat me up back. It’s a good vehicle for the business that I’m building. It’s just a good platform and I love it.’

Logan previously told ESPN that the reason behind signing a multi-year, longterm deal with WWE was to open up more opportunities for the matches he can have, and the stories he can tell.

‘The idea with this multiyear contract was to get really creative around the story that we’re telling as my professional wrestling career unfolds. Being the hyperambitious person that I am, I’m going for a belt,’ he explained back in April.

‘I’d love to have it on my résumé, and I’d love to show every kid around the world who watches WWE that you can achieve anything.’
