Bray Wyatt fans are going wild after some major hints the late WWE legend’s story is set to continue from beyond the grave.
The former world champion – whose real name was Windham Rotunda – died in August aged 36, but cryptic clues before and during the Raw after WrestleMania 40 suggest his real life brother will keep his legacy alive.
In typical Wyatt fashion, recent documentary Becoming Immortal ended on a huge cliffhanger as Uncle Howdy (played by his brother Bo Dallas, AKA Taylor Rotunda) appeared in a sinister post credits scene.
A similarly teasing video aired at the end of an emotional panel discussing the film at WWE World, but there was even more to come.
Moments before Monday Night Raw went on air, the lights turned on and off several times as Nightbird by Marti Amado blared out around the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
And during the show itself, the broadcast appeared to glitch during a backstage promo by Bronson Reed, and a simple message appeared in the bottom right corner which read ‘Hello’.
After a video taken by Metro.co.uk was spread on X, several fans agreed that the signs seem to be pointing towards a return for Uncle Howdy.
There are also similarities drawn with the infamous White Rabbit campaign which built to Wyatt’s final return at Extreme Rules 2022, and began with Jefferson Airplane’s song White Rabbit blaring out in arenas as the clues started building up.
‘He’s coming… 👀 #UncleHowdy #WWERAW #RAWAfterMania,’ wrote X user @jjreva50, while @AlexaDaGOAT added: ‘I can’t believe we are getting White Rabbit 2! Let’s go! #BrayWyattForever’
And fan @JJB888 tweeted: ‘I love it! If this is indeed Howdy, then the spirit of Bray is still with us, his creation lives and is in the capable hands of his brother. I love this! #RawAfterWrestleMania #WWERAW’
It’s been an emotional week for Wyatt’s fans and loved ones, as the WWE World panel ended with his close friend and collaborator Jason Baker unveiling two statues he and his team at Collosum Studios have been working on.
As well as completing the final version of The Fiend – which was based on creative ideas by Wyatt himself – they also crafted a life sized status of the late wrestler from his Extreme Rules comeback.
Jason has previously revealed he was the man behind The Fiend costume that night in Philly, and he later confirmed it was Wyatt’s idea to have him take on the role.
‘I’ve had the honour of getting to peak behind the curtain enough to know that the only thing wrestlers have is their gimmick and they hold it with all of their might, because it’s literally how they feed their families,’ he exclusively told Metro.co.uk.
‘I know what that means, to have a wrestler be like, “I trust you enough with this gimmick that I’ve created to go portray it for 30 seconds”. That magnitude was definitely not lost on me.’
