Get ready for a much nicer Sherlock Holmes.

Steven Moffat, Sherlock’s showrunner and writer, confirmed that everyone’s favourite TV sleuth, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, will be ‘a little more polished’ in the upcoming Victorian special.

‘He operates like a Victorian gentleman instead of a posh, rude man. He’s a lot less brattish,’ Steven added during a panel at this year’s Television Critics Association press tour.

And as for sidekick Watson? ‘More uptight’ is how Moffat described Martin Freeman’s character.
