It’s here at last.

Marvel’s highly-anticipated TV series Jessica Jones finally made its debut on Netflix on Friday and had everyone hooked instantly.

Don’t Trust the B**** In Apt. 23 actress Krysten Ritter plays the superhero turned private detective in the show, which is based on comic book series Alias.

Jessica Jones is the second Marvel series to be developed exclusively for the on demand Internet streaming media service following the huge success of Daredevil, and it’s getting rave reviews so far.

Zayn Malik walked out on One Direction back in March and his former bandmates have barely spoken to him since.

Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles discuss the 22-year-old’s abrupt departure during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, saying they think he wants to ‘distance himself’ from them.

The X Factor 2015: Shock twist will see one act eliminated from the competition on Saturday night

The X Factor just turned the tension up a notch with the announcement that one act will leave the competition on Saturday night’s show.

While the eliminations have so far been confined to the Sunday night results show this year, news that one of the remaining seven acts would be given the boot emerged just half an hour before the show was due to go on air.

A source told the Mirror: ‘Yes, one act is going tonight and it will be announced at the start of the show.’

He’s already caused a fair old stir during the current series of Strictly by – gasp! – taking his shirt off, and now it seems Gleb Savchenko’s at it again.

The Russian dancer once again had viewers slightly beside themselves during Saturday night’s Blackpool Tower Ballroom special, as he and Anita Rani took to the floor for a sizzling Paso Doble.

Ola Jordan ‘confirms she has quit Strictly Come Dancing’, saying: ‘It’s time to move on’

Ola Jordan has apparently confirmed she has quit Strictly Come Dancing, ending the speculation over her future on the show.

The Polish dancer took to Twitter on Saturday evening to break the news, as this year’s Blackpool Tower Ballroom special prepared to go on the air.

In a series of tweets she said she had had 10 ‘amazing years’ on the show but added that it was ‘time to move on’.

She went on to thank fans for their ‘continuous support’ during her time on the Strictly dancefloor.

Well we knew Jenna Coleman was leaving Doctor Who this year but Clara’s death in the most recent episode, Face The Raven, will have had many a distraught fan tearful in disbelief.

But there you have it, Clara Oswald is dead.

It all got a bit much for Anton Stephans on Saturday night’s X Factor after he clashed with Nick Grimshaw over his comments.

The singer – who is Simon Cowell’s last remaining act in the competition – delivered an impassioned performance of the song One Sweet Day during the show’s Love and Heartbreak themed week.

Mason Noise has bid farewell to The X Factor after being voted off in an unexpected Saturday night elimination.

The singer received the fewest number of votes from the public following the latest round of performances in the Love and Heartbreak themed show.

He said of his time on the show: ‘I’ve loved it. Thank you to everyone who voted, and thank you to everone who didn’t vote, because I’m going to do my thing now and I’m going to go meet my fans

Gasp! Peter Andre ended up bottom of the Strictly scoreboard…

He’s long been tipped as a potential winner of the Glitterball trophy – but things didn’t go quite as well as normal for Peter Andre as Strictly headed to Blackpool.

So much so that the Mysterious Girl singer found himself propping up the judges’ scoreboard following his jive with Janette Manrara in the town’s famous Tower Ballroom.

And in a night which saw a whole bunch of his fellow contestants – including Anita Rani, George May Foote and Kellie Bright picking up tens for their efforts, Peter was left trailing with just 29 points.

Which still isn’t bad, of course.But he was still left trailing in the wake of some of the highest scores so far this series.

We’ve seen some fairly heated rows in the I’m A Celebrity…jungle this year but this latest outburst from Lady C might just be the most explosive so far.

Saturday night’s highlights show saw the socialite getting hot under the collar yet again over an incident involving a can of tomato soup she bought from the jungle vending machine.

With several of their fellow campmates remaining hungry on Snake Rock, she suggested offering a ‘quarter of the can of soup’ to them – but the the Croc Creek team being treated to a banquet for winning the most recent bushtucker trial, Duncan wasn’t quite so sure.

‘They can have the whole bloody tin, they’ve been starving for three days, we’ve got the banquet,’ he insisted – as Lady C pointed out that they could be the ones going hungry tomorrow.

‘Let’s worry about tomorrow, tomorrow,’ Duncan snapped, ‘they’ve got nothing to eat.’

After last week’s howler where he prematurely gave away who was leaving the latest round of the X Factor, Olly Murs must have been on edge as he took to the stage yesterday for the next live show. 

And sadly, it seemed to show for the nervous singer as he stuttered on his words in the opening seconds as he said: ‘And one of those acts will be leaving the competition tonight and we’ll be opening the vote later and one of those acts with the fewest public votes will be elimitated…eliminated.’

Having hurriedly corrected himself, he thankfully saw the funny side, adding: ‘But don’t worry everyone, listen, don’t worry because I won’t be doing it.’

The pop star sobbed as he was comforted by Susannah Constantine during Saturday’s episode.

‘It’s not the challenges, it’s the living’ he said.

When Susannah asked him if he was feeling trapped, he confessed: ‘When other people feel like it, it takes my mind off it because I pick them up.

‘But when it’s me it’s like…I’m not here to be a celebrity, I’m just here to have fun.’

Saturday Night Live offered up a rather special skit over the weekend, with a little help from JJ Abrams.

The director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens unveiled some ‘never before seen screen tests’ from the casting process for the latest film in the Star Wars franchise.

We learnt a LOT about who was up for a role in TFA, from Sofia Vergara (played by Cecily Strong) to Emma Stone and David Beckham (played by Taran Killam) to Jon Hamm, or as he was hoping to be called: Hamm Solo.
