Bobby Beale’s reign of terror just stepped up a notch in Albert Square after viewers were left wondering whether or not he had killed again.

Friday evening’s episode of the soap came to a shocking conclusion after a row with stepmum Jane Beale over swapping rooms with Kathy – which led to him pushing her down the stairs.

With Jane’s fate hanging in the balance – and Ian wondering where his wife had got to as he lit up the Christmas tree in Albert Square – Bobby’s latest act of violence was all a bit too much for viewers.

Inbetweeners star and Mock the Week favourite Greg Davies has been chatting about his character in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special starring Peter Capaldi and Alex Kingston.

In The Husbands of River Song, the gargantuan comic plays King Hydroflax – a petrifying nine foot cyborg that eats his victims, dead or alive. Davies adds that Hydroflax is an empire-building crazy robot that destroys and pillages wherever he goes.

Oh, and he’s just a head.

His character Andy Sugden’s love life may be in turmoil, but things couldn’t be more different for Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.

The 31-year-old, who has starred in the ITV soap for nearly 20 years, reportedly married his long-term girlfriend Liz Marsland last Saturday.

Kelvin and Liz tied the knot are said to have tied the knot in front of close friends and family after dating for around nine years.

Spare a thought for The X Factor contestants this winter – their house has run out of hot water and Simon Cowell has yet to call out for the plumber.

Hopeful Che Chesterman revealed that the housemates have been dealing with cold showers for ‘three or four days now’ because ‘the least glamorous thing about the show is the house hasn’t got hot water’.

And he’s understandably worried that all those cold showers will not be good for the vocal chords.

Singer Will Young certainly made his mark when he appeared on Saturday Kitchen this weekend – but for all the wrong reasons.

The former Pop Idol winner, who joined presenter James Martin on the Saturday morning favourite, was facing the usual ‘food heaven or food hell’ challenge – admitting that he was a fan of Italian food but couldn’t bear liver or capers.

But when a caller by the name of John from Shrewsbury voted for the singer to face ‘food hell’, the prospect of chowing down on a plate of the stuff clearly proved too much for Will.
