TWO BROTHERS PICTURES FOR ITV THE WIDOW EPISODE 3 The Widow tells the story of Georgia Wells (Kate Beckinsale) who has her life turned upside-down with a phone-call in the middle of the night. Her husband of over 10 years, Will, has been reported dead after a plane crash in the Congolese jungle. Three years later, with her old life now a thing of the past, Georgia learns something shocking. Something that will take her to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, looking to uncover the truth about his disappearance. Oblivious to the extent of the danger she faces, Georgia sets out across the country in pursuit of Will, while MARTIN BENSON (Charles Dance), the closest person to family Georgia has, searches for answers elsewhere. From BAFTA nominated screenwriters Harry & Jack Williams (Liar, The Missing), the eight-part series is directed by Sam Donovan (Humans, Liar) and Olly Blackburn (Donkey Punch, Glue). With Kate Beckinsale playing the lead role, key cast also includes Alex Kingston (ER, Doctor Who), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones, Godzilla), ?lafur Darri ?lafsson (Trapped, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) and Louise Brealey (Sherlock, Clique). Ariel’s flashback revealed his experience in the plane crash in a hard-hitting scene (Picture: ITV)

The Widow continued with a flashback heavy episode, detailing Ariel’s (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson) experience in the plane crash that robbed him of his sight.

It followed Ariel revealing that the plane went down because of a bomb brought board.

Despite it being a thrilling set piece that expertly captured the sheer panic of a flight going down, it was mostly going over ground given Ariel’s revelation last time.

However we did find out that a woman also survived the disaster, which Ariel didn’t mention to his new companion Beatrix (Louise Brealey).

Plus he might not be the gentle giant he has made himself out to be, as at the end of the episode he was confronted by Martin Benson (Charles Dance being as menacing as Tywin Lannister) who told him he knew ‘what he’d done’.

This story threat overshadowed the thing we’re meant to actually care about, Georgia’s (Kate Beckinsale) search for her husband, who was revealed to be very much alive last episode but didn’t show up this week.

Unfortunately she got waylaid as she teamed up with a medical aid workers who were robbed on the road and left stranded.

Georgia met medical aid workers Fabrice, Louise and Tom (Picture: ITV)

This attempted to up the stakes and introduced us to some colourful new characters, with their French hip-hop and no-nonsense Louise (Mathilde Warnier) a welcome antidote to Georgia’s quivering-lipped earnestness.

But its suddenness also felt like an unnecessary diversion from Georgia’s mission, sharply brought back into focus by her shooting a man trying to abduct her. She dealt with it rather coolly. Shock and grief talking or has Georgia secretly been a mercenary this whole time? That would be fun!

Georgia learned Will may have been having an affair (Picture: ITV)

Her only step forward this week seemed to be learning that Will had been cheating on her with the wife of a Congolese general – and that came before the robbery.

Of course there’s bound to be more to it than that, and thanks to the strong emotive flashback sequences, we want to tune in tomorrow and find out more. But at this point, only two standout scenes in an hour-long episode isn’t good enough.

The Widow continues Tuesday at 9pm on ITV.

Game Of Thrones brutally killed It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney in season 8 premiere

Rob McElhenney cameo in Game Of Thrones
It was a tough way to go (Picture: HBO)

Warning: Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers below.

Game Of Thrones has had its fair share of cameos over the years, including literal Ed Sheeran (never forget).

And the final season is clearly no different, with Rob McElhenney, who plays Mac in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, being brutally killed with an arrow to the eye.

It didn’t look pleasant.

Rob and Silicon Valley’s Martin Starr were unlucky enough to be shot as Theon Greyjoy came to his sister Yara’s rescue from their uncle Euron’s ship.

With the Always Sunny star being a superfan of the show, he didn’t seem bothered by his unfortunate ending, posting a pretty gruesome snap to Instagram.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwQqjwpn_gf/

‘Don’t blink. #gameofthrones,’ he wrote.

Solid advice.

While some were brutally taken down by flying arrows in the episode, which saw one billion viewers tuning in, others were shaken up about the lack of elephants knocking about in Westeros. Cersei, we’re looking at you.

In a bid to boost her army Cersei had ordered The Golden Company to ship over mercenary reinforcements so she could protect her reign of the Iron Throne from the incoming flood of White Walkers.

Season Premiere of the award-winning HBO Series.
The episode saw the return of Theon Greyjoy (Picture: HBO)

Euron Greyjoy managed to bring over 20,000 men and 2,000 horses, but absolutely zero elephants – much to Cersei’s disgust.

‘That’s disappointing,’ she said when she heard the bad news.

However, it turns out there’s actually a reason Cersei’s so caught up with elephants – not just jealousy of Dany’s dragons.

As pointed out by Vulture, The Golden Company were actually famous for their elephants – all 24 of them – so it’s no wonder the current queen feels a little downtrodden on her deal.

The books and the series have now narratively parted ways – after all, there’s only so much you can fit into an hour of TV – and to add insult to injury, in the alternate literary universe Cersei did get her elephants.

Gutting.

Game Of Thrones continues Sundays on HBO and Sky Atlantic, and is available to watch on NOW TV.

Jeremy Clarkson emotionally remembers his dad on The Grand Tour

Jeremy Clarkson fondly remembered his dad on The Grand Tour, recalling the moment he felt ‘proud’ of him for driving a car he loved.

Clarkson explained that he was just a kid at school when his old man came to pick him up in a Ford 1600E.

Standing in the exact street where the heartwarming moment happened, he said: ‘You join me in Doncaster outside my old school.

‘I remember very clearly coming out of that door one afternoon in 1969, skipping along here, coming round this gate post here, and I noticed that parked over there was a 1600E – an E – in amber gold, just like that one.

‘And in it was my dad, and that was impossible. The E was the absolute king of the hill.’

Getting a bit emotional about the memory, he went on: ‘It was beautiful and wondrous and exciting beyond words.

‘How I felt, my knees actually buckled. The hairs on the back of my neck are rising now in exactly the same way as they did in that autumn day 50 years ago.

‘I can also remember the enormity of the hug I gave my dad, because I was just so proud of him. I mean he had an E. An E stood for executive. That meant he was better than the Duke Of Edinburgh.’

This series of The Grand Tour has been an emotional one for Jez, who even found himself getting choked up saying goodbye to the tent used on the Amazon Prime show.

For the new episodes Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will be jetting off on special road trips similar to the Mongolia special they embarked on.

Explaining why he got so teary, he told The Sun: ‘The truth of it is, I think, I never got the chance to say goodbye to Top Gear. One minute I was there and one minute I wasn’t. It was like, did the show and then never did another one.

‘Never said goodbye. Never got a gold watch. Never got a retirement speech. Nothing. So this was almost as though we were saying goodbye to Top Gear as well. That’s why it was so emotional for me.’

The Grand Tour is available to stream on Amazon Prime.

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco isn’t about to be outshined by Coachella as she’s hosted her own ‘Kaleychella’ on Instagram.

We’re into it in a big way.

The actress, who plays Penny in the beloved comedy, cut some shapes with her stylist friend Brad Goreski.

‘It’s Kaleychella up in here, we’re keeping it going for you,’ the 33-year-old declared, as Brad giggled away.

She’s giving Beychella and Arichella a run for their money.

Meanwhile, with the show bowing out after 12 seasons, Kaley’s among the stars throwing it back before they have to say goodbye.

(Picture: Kaley Cuoco/Instagram)
She had a blast (Picture: Kaley Cuoco/Instagram)

The actress shared a shot from the pilot episode of TBBT from way back when in 2007 and it gave us all the feels.

The hilarious shot has Kaley draped in a towel sporting a questionable fake tan and split fringe with the Cheshire cat grin we’re going to miss so much come May 16.

And the snap is just one of many memories the star will be taking with her as she’s taken a whopping 2000 Polaroid snaps since her first day.

Now that’s dedication.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwJBKo9hnrN/

To make it even cuter, she’s been planning a surprise for fans which will see her create a mega behind the scenes book.

We’ll be needing this immediately, cheers.

‘You know what? That is what I’m going to do,’ she revealed to AOL. ‘I’ll wait about another year or two, but that’s the goal with the Polaroids. I think fans will love it.

‘[Maybe] a cool coffee table book? I have pictures that are unbelievable, like behind-the-scenes from the pilot that are just incredible.’

From her epic yawn – which was a real mood – to turning the tables on her male-co-stars and the buckets of emotional posts, Kaley has spoiled us rotten on Instagram with pics from The Big Bang Theory set – it’s like we’ve been there the whole time.

But, with just three more tapings to go, earlier this week she admitted the finale was starting to feel ‘real’.

We’ll just repress that for a bit longer, Kaley.

The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik knows a good TV show when she sees one.

That’s why the Amy Farrah Fowler actress has declared herself part of the Killing Eve appreciation society – and we finally feel understood.

Despite admitting that she’s ‘not really a big TV watcher’ – a curious confession from the TBBT favourite – the 43-year-old praised the ‘wild’ BBC America show and its ‘delightful’ leading ladies.

‘Boy, did I love season one!’ Mayim wrote on her blog Grok Nation. ‘I haven’t read the books the series is based on, but I love a good mystery.

Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh in Killing Eve (Picture: BBC)
Jodie Comer brought Villanelle to life in Killing Eve (Picture: BBC)

‘I also love strong female characters and solid actors. I love absurdity and the mixture of tragedy and comedy. I love this show.’

Mayim discovered the first season four months ago, so she skipped the agonising wait for Season 2 that came to an end for US fans last week.

She continued: ‘I’m not really a big TV watcher, so completing an entire season of a show was kind of a big deal for me. Once I finished, it hit me: I have to wait for the second season!’

Former Blossom actress Mayim praised Sandra Oh as a ‘pleasant discovery,’ after failing to get into Grey’s Anatomy and said that British star Jodie Comer was a ‘delight’ – in spite of her menacing character.

Killing Eve returned for Season 2 on BBC America on Sunday, but fans in the UK may have to wait until all eight episodes have aired overseas until the show can commence on British screens.

The newest batch of episodes will see Villanelle and Eve Polastri go head-to-head once more as their tug-of-love-and-war gets even more complicated.

And, after just one episode, Killing Eve has been renewed for Season 3, so there’s plenty more drama in store.

The Chase’s Bradley Walsh loses it with Anne Hegerty about her lack of sausage knowledge

Bradley Walsh was not happy with Anne Hegerty on Monday (Picture: ITV)

Anne Hegerty uttered the dreaded words on The Chase on Monday afternoon: ‘I’ll have to look it up.’

It prompted host Bradley Walsh to kick off at The Governess as she admitted that her knowledge of sausages, of all things, was sadly lacking.

Bradley was left exasperated when he pushed one of the questions back on Chaser Anne, asking her what the word ‘sausage’ meant.

She sassily said: ‘A sausage is a tube of skin with mincemeat in the middle.’

Unfortunately, Anne was stumped by a question about sausages (Picture: ITV)

He replied: ‘I know what a sausage is! But where does the word come from? Saucisson?’

That’s when Anne admitted that she was utterly stumped by the question, answering: ‘I really don’t know. I’ll have to look it up.’

Getting increasingly frustrated, Bradley ranted: ‘What is the point of you being a Chaser if you don’t know this stuff?

‘This is the stuff you’re supposed to know, never mind how many billions of stars or whether the world’s circumference is the same length as your neck.’

Bradley was left puzzled following a question asking which country had recently banned meat-related words for vegetarian substitutes.

Both The Chaser and the contestant guessed correctly that the country in question was France.

Former I’m A Celebrity contestant Anne is one of the original Chase stars, who’s been with the show since 2010 and also regularly appears on the Australian version.

However, Anne admitted last week that she was recently threatened with suspension from the ITV game show for answering back.

The Chaser revealed that she got a slap on the wrists for clapping back at a troll on Twitter, and was ordered to take her reply down.

Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking gave viewers an ‘access all areas’ pass to London Heathrow’s luxurious VIP airport lounge this weekend.

The champagne appeared to be flowing at the exclusive departures experience, which she told fans came at a handsome price of £3,000-a-pop.

However, one viewer pointed out that one of the shots appeared to show Tesco Finest bubbly – available at local supermarkets for £20 – being served up in the premium lounge.

Sharing a screenshot from Saturday night’s BBC Two documentary, one Twitter user pointed to an awkward TV blunder in Mary’s behind the scenes tour.

The tweeter wrote: ‘Mary Berry is visiting the VIP Lounge at Heathrow. If you pay £3k, you can stay in a living room and drink…err…Tesco’s Finest bubbly before your flight. @HeathrowVIP #maryberry.’

In the episode, Mary was invited into the Heathrow VIP suite on a discovery of how restaurants and cafes inside the airport feed the 80 million people that pass through the terminals each year in record-breaking time.

The VIP suite offers such luxuries as a chauffeur-driven luxury car ride to the airport, a private lounge for guests and a service escorting you to the flight.

During her visit to Heathrow, Mary threw herself into the different roles within the airport, including a stint as an airport firefighter, but of course, she had time to whip up some quick culinary delights, including a chicken korma and an apple sandwich cake.

In the six-part series, the former Bake Off star has been everywhere from the West End to Rome and Marrakech. She also joined the Navy in one special episode.

Sitcom actress Georgia Engel, famed for her gentle speaking voice, has died at the age of 70.

A beloved star of Everybody Loves Raymond, Mork & Mindy as well as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, the TV actress was a five-times Primetime Emmy-nominated star.

According to The New York Times, Georgia died in Princeton, New Jersey on Friday but the cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

In recent years, Georgia found the greatest success in the role of Pat MacDougall on Everybody Loves Raymond.

Pat and Hank (played by Fred Willard) were Robert Barone’s in-laws (Brad Garrett), playing the parents of his girlfriend Amy (Monica Horan).

However, the actress’s last known filming project was another TV series called One Day at a Time in 2018.

Originally a ballet dancer and off-Broadway actress, Georgia’s career began in 1971 in a comedy called Taking Off.

By 1972, she had secured the role of Georgette Baxter nee Franklin on the third series The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

It is still her best-known role, playing the partner of buffoonish TV newsman Ted Baxter.

She won two Emmy nominations for the part and went on to achieve three more nods for her part in Everybody Loves Raymond.

Georgia subsequently starred in The Office, Hot In Cleveland, Grown Ups 2, Two And A Half Men and voiced the character of Bobbie in Open Season.

Game Of Thrones’ Kit Harington had full on breakdown following last scene, felt he was ‘being skinned’ taking off costume

Kit Harington as Jon Snow

We all know the cast of Game Of Thrones, including Kit Harington, got emotional following their last scenes on set – but we didn’t realise the extent of the Jon Snow actor’s breakdown.

The star has opened up about just how hard he took the final moments of inhabiting Jon.

Guess that’s proved the actors are finding it just has hard to let go of these characters as the viewers are.

The 32-year-old star revealed he felt fine in the lead up to shooting his last scene, but as soon as they yelled cut, the monumental meaning of what that final cut meant came flooding to him.

‘My final day of shooting, I felt fine … I felt fine … I felt fine … then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit,’ he told Esquire, as the first episode of season eight hit screens this week.

‘Then they called “Wrap!” and I just f***ing broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.

‘It wasn’t so much about Jon. It was about not being in this world, not getting to smell those smells, fight those fights, be with these people – the whole package.’

Our hearts!

Not just the embodiment of Jon Snow, Kit felt the effects of taking off his costume for the last time – something he’d donned in various fashions since 2011’s season one.

In fact, Kit felt like he was being ‘skinned’ when he took off the costume for the last time.

‘But the weirdest bit was when we came off set and they started taking the costume off and it felt like being skinned,’ he added. ‘It felt like they were unceremoniously, for the last time, ripping off this character.’

The star – who is married to co-star Rose Leslie – previously spoke about how he was handling the end of the show.

Spoiler alert – he hasn’t been handling it well at all. Preach!

Speaking on BBC Radio 2 way back in July last year, Kit said: ‘It’s just been this amazing journey. I kinda said to them on my wrap speech that it’s always been more than a job. They were a family and it was my life.

‘I’ve loved every minute of it.

‘I’ve been quite emotional all last week thinking about having finished it.’

Katie Price receives bizarre ‘cosmic orgasm’ in a bid to rid toxic energy

Katie Price received a ‘cosmic orgasm’ in front of her mum Amy during the latest episode of her series My Crazy Life.

The 40-year-old mum-of-five, who is facing a fresh legal with her ex-husband Alex Reid, was seen wrapped under a blanket as she underwent the treatment on a massage table outside.

The procedure aimed to rid ‘stuff from the past that needed to be released,’ with the masseuse warning that Katie would feel ‘overwhelming feelings of love.’

Katie replied: ‘What, like an orgasm?’

To which the therapist confirmed: ‘Yes, a cosmic orgasm. Just relax and enjoy it.’

Her terminally ill mum Amy, who is turning to an ‘experimental drug’ to help save her life, watched on as her daughter closed her eyes and basked in the healing.

After the treatment, Katie revealed: ‘I’ve got like an excitement in my belly. Like I’m excited, but I don’t know why.’

‘Your future,’ explained her therapist. ‘Your awesome new chapter in life.’

Speaking to the cameras, Katie said: ‘I will try anything I can which is supposed to bring goodness in my life.’

Earlier this week it was reported that Katie is allegedly facing a legal battle with her ex Alex as he is claiming she shared ‘sexual images of him.’

He alleges a 40-strong audience at a studio where shown ‘sexual images’ of him by Katie. She, however, claims she had downloaded the footage in question from YouTube.

Kit Harington has revealed that he smashed his balls while filming a dragon scene for the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones.

The 32-year-old actor, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO franchise, relived the painful moment during a behind-the-scenes montage of the show’s premiere episode and described how he had to ride an electronic buck in front of a green screen.

Unfortunately for Kit though, the mechanical bull-like machine wasn’t always easy to handle.

‘There was a bit where Jon almost falls off the dragon – swings round really violent like this – and my right ball got trapped,’ Kit recalled, ‘and I didn’t have time to say stop.

‘I was being swung round. In my head, I thought, “This is how it ends, on this buck swinging me round by my testicles.” Literally.’

Kit apologised for the graphic detail, adding: ‘Sorry, probably too much information.’

It wasn’t just an incident with the nether regions that choked Kit up though, as the star also revealed he had a full on breakdown when he finished wrapping the series, adding that taking off Jon’s costume felt like he was being ‘skinned’.

Speaking to Esquire, Kit confessed: ‘[When] they called “Wrap!” and I just f***ing broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.

And to get into the spirit of things, Metro.co.uk caught up with some cast members at the Belfast premiere last Friday to find out some set secrets and season eight spoilers.

We asked the cast member who they wish their character could have killed in the series if they had their way – and it’s a total bloodbath.

*Some spoilers ahead*

Jerome Flynn – Bronn

Jerome Flynn stars as fan favourite cheeky sellsword Bronn and season eight sees him tasked with killing his two best mates.

Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) has offered the knight a serious amount of gold to assassinate her two brothers, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) – but the actor told Metro.co.uk there’s another character he would rather have exacted justice on.

‘I always forget his name, that horrible b****** who got eaten by the dogs – Ramsay!’

He was, of course, talking about Ramsay Snow/Bolton (Iwan Rheon).

‘He did such an amazing job… I had this sort of sickness in my stomach in every scene he was in. I thought that was amazing so I was really relieved to see him go.’

Liam Cunningham – Ser Davos Seaworth

Onion Knight actor Liam Cunningham did not hesitate in announcing he would like to take out his rival Melisandre (Carice Van Houten).

‘I think we all know who that is,’ he said when asked who Davos wanted rid of.

‘It’s got to be the Red Woman! He’s been trying to kill her for the last four seasons!’ he joked.

Hannah Murray – Gilly

Gilly star Hannah Murray also wanted to be the one to slay the evil Ramsay.

‘Probably Ramsay,’ she admitted.

‘He was just the worst and he stuck around for way too long I think.’

John Bradley – Samwell Tarley

John Bradley as Sam

John Bradley told Metro.co.uk he would have loved to be the one to take Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) down.

The former king is still regarded as one of Game of Thrones’ best villains and his death in season four is iconic.

‘I don’t think Sam had much time for Joffrey at all,’ he said.

‘It’s so interesting – you see Joffrey as a character who is the king to all intents and purposes but he is actually very powerless and I think that’s where a lot of his anger came from really, the fact that he felt powerless. He dealt with it all wrong.

‘But Sam is someone you’d never consider to be powerful and is actually powerful, they’re two polar opposites.’

Game of Thrones season eight is set to have millions of fans enthralled for the next five weeks as the acclaimed HBO series comes to an end.

The fantasy show’s fans have been taking to Twitter to discuss the new series at length (and make hilarious memes) but one fan has shared a particularly moving story about his experience with A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin.

That fan is none other than This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman who shared a heartbreaking thread about his friend meeting his hero.

Writing to his 69.3K followers, Dan, 43, told the story about the night he and his close friend Alex went to see Bruce Springsteen’s Broadway show.

Alex happened to bump into George and his wife and the four of them ended up going for pizza after.

Dan described Alex as ‘larger than life. Handsome and charming as hell, with the best head of hair you’ve ever seen. He’s also obsessed with Game of Thrones like no one you’ve ever known’.

He continued: ‘We eat pizza for an hour or two. George and I talk shop. Alex tries to play it cool, only makes a few nerdy Thrones references. At meal’s end, George gives Alex a Westeros coin. Alex reacts stronger than is appropriate for a 40-something man.

‘We all part ways. Alex is giddy.’

Then Dan revealed that unbeknownst to the world-famous author, Alex was at the time battling stage four lung cancer and passed away a year later.

‘But for that entire year, Alex never stops talking about his night with his hero. And, in turn, I will never stop telling that story. Or, bigger picture: Alex’s story.

‘For our friends, watching this season’s GOT will be bittersweet without Alex texting us annoying spoilers.’

The screenwriter thanked George for ‘making what would turn out to be Alex’s last year’ and praised the power of storytelling and importance of kindness.

Dan is known for pulling at the heartstrings in his series and his followers on Twitter were not expecting to be so moved by Alex’s story.

One fan wrote: ‘You need to expect tears EVERY time @Dan_Fogelman tells a story.’

While another added: ‘This is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing this! Alex sounds like a guy we all would have been lucky to know!’

Game of Thrones season 8, episode 1 is currently streaming on NOW TV and This Is Us season 3 concluded this month.

Trust Me season two seamlessly leaves Jodie Whittaker behind with new twisted plot

Trust Me season two seamlessly leaves Jodie Whittaker behind (Picture: BBC / Rex)

Trust Me season one might have been dark, but it looks as though writer Dan Sefton has just reached a whole new level of suspense with the upcoming series.

And while we do miss Jodie Whittaker being in the show, we can’t help but feel that the screenwriter has seamlessly moved on from the actress, giving us a whole new cast and plot to get our teeth stuck into.

Set in a spinal unit of a Glasgow hospital, the thriller follows the story of Jamie McCain (played by Alfred Enoch) who was a Corporal in the army and found himself paralysed from the waist down while out on duty.

After returning home for treatment, he soon discovers that fellow patients are starting to die around him, but as his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder starts to affect his mind, who knows if Jamie’s thoughts are real – or just a figure of his imagination?

We first get introduced to the protagonist in the opening scenes of episode one, and the writer sure didn’t hold back on introducing those action shots.

Straight away Jamie is running through a war zone with his comrades where he is brutally injured after falling through an unstable roof.

While everything fades to black, we’re soon seeing the world through the soldier’s eyes, and it’s just as daunting and overwhelming as every hospital experience.

The first episode takes you on a dark and thrilling ride (Picture: BBC)
Alfred Enoch stars as Jamie McCain (Picture: Getty Images)

That feeling when you’re so dosed up on antibiotics, and every sense becomes heightened is captured perfectly, and took us straight back to coming around from surgery.

Honestly – the feels were quite unsettling.

And if that wasn’t enough to disturb any viewer who has been in a similar situation, we’re immediately seeing bodies being bagged up and wheeled away as Jamie is taken to his ward.

While the character is completely immobile, and barely speaks a word throughout the first episode, Alfred manages to convey all of the emotions from angry, scared to confused and genuinely annoyed AF, through his expressions.

Dr Archie Watson (played by John Hannah) is shortly introduced and we’re immediately made aware that he’s the series’ ‘bad guy’. But while the Clinical Lead is examining his new patient the character is juxtaposed by both Dr Zoe Wade (played by Katie Clarkson-Hill) and her patient Danny Adams (played by Elliot Cooper).

Our hearts are drawn to Danny, as he becomes the mastermind behind the theory that there is an Angel of Death on the ward, silently taking the lives of innocent people.

And while Jamie comes to terms with his new friend’s accusations, he is met by a number of obstacles that are bound to get you wincing at your screens.

The thriller sure doesn’t hold back on all the blood, guts and gore, and as not to spoil what’s to come, we end up watching Jamie drag himself across the floor, leaving a trail of blood behind him from where he savagely twisted the pointed edge of a crystal into the side of his leg – yes, we get to see the whole thing.

Make sure you have your cushions at the ready because it’s clear that this is just the beginning of one heck of a disturbing murder mystery – and the killer could be anyone.

The first episode airs tonight (16 April) on BBC 1 at 9pm, so make sure you tune in for the sinister ride.

All the evidence Line Of Duty’s ‘H’ is actually Gill Biggeloe

**Warning, contains spoilers for the latest episode of Line Of Duty.**

The mysterious ‘H’ still remains firmly under wraps in Line Of Duty, with fans convinced that the spelling mistake in the latest episode means they’ve got one step closer to cracking the case.

Fingers have so far pointed heavily in Ted Hastings’ (Adrian Dunbar) direction after he looked shady as hell during an AC-12 interrogation, but one fan has laid down ‘proof’ that the culprit is actually Gill Biggeloe (Polly Walker).

Taking to Reddit user hedtastings has listed all the evidence to argue that Gill is guilty, and they’ve got a point.

‘H’ must be a significant character

‘In order for the reveal to have dramatic weight, H must be a significant enough character with whom we are already familiar.

‘There are actually very few characters left that fit that description and would actually make sense.’

Could 'H' really be Gill? (Picture: BBC)
Could ‘H’ really be Gill? (Picture: BBC)

All Gina’s actions have protected the corrupt network

‘Literally almost every single action she took during her time at AC-12 directly protected (or even pushed for promotion of) members of the corrupt network or frustrated investigations at key moments.

‘Some of these can be explained away as the cynical/political/lawyerly, but taken as a whole she’s the most consistently self-serving character in the show and all her decisions make perfect sense if you accept she is H.’

Ongoing theme of sexism

‘The theme of sexism has been simmering away in the background for some time.

‘Gill herself brought it up this [most recent] episode. It would be fitting that the big bad be a woman, particularly one so adept at out maneuvering the male dinosaurs she encounters in the police force.’

Gill raised a complaint about sexism within the force (Picture: BBC)

Gill knew about the raid

‘Other than Hasting, Kate, Steve, Gill is the only other main character to know about it [the raid]. How do we know that?

‘Hastings himself said he would have to run it by the DCC, whose office Gill is currently serving in as legal counsel to the PCC.

‘There’s no reason to include that line other than to subtly signal that Gill will have to be informed.

‘She is the one who passed on the information about the tracking devices.’

The ‘H’ code name is too obvious

‘The H code name literally being someone with a last name ending with H is far too obvious and not Line of Duty’s style.

‘It’s just there to make us doubt Ted. The twist will be that in his dying declaration, Dot was blinking for the letter G, which is right before the letter H. G for Gill.’

Line Of Duty continues Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.

Kristina Rihanoff agrees Strictly ‘curse’ is inevitable as she addresses Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton claims

Strictly pro Kristina Rihanoff has addressed the so-called Strictly curse, agreeing it’s inevitable every year couples will shack up.

It goes with the territory, you see.

The 41-year-old, who got together with partner Ben Cohen following their own spin on the BBC One programme back in 2013 (he was still married to Abby Blayney when he went on the show) spoke about the palaver currently enveloping Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.

The winners of the latest series have been slapped with the ‘curse’ banner after Stacey allegedly struck up a relationship with her pro partner not long after her split with long-term boyfriend Sam Tucknott.

Sam may have slammed his ex and Kevin, however Kristina echoed the sentiments of many when she hinted it isn’t necessarily a curse.

‘There is always someone hurt and feeling that it’s wrong what’s happening,’ she began during a segment on Good Morning Britain today.

‘People do meet at work, that’s where we work. Literally everything we do around the year, the show, the tour, back on the show…’

Richard Madeley then suggested ‘it seems almost inevitable’ more couples will form on the show next year, as he said: ‘Whoever is going to be on it next year, we’ll have another.’

Kristina, who also dated both fellow dancer Vincent Simone and former Strictly partner boxer Joe Calzaghe, replied: ‘Yeah I suppose.’

When it came to why couples may find that comfort in one another, she suggested the ‘good looks’ were secondary.

‘It’s about creating a strong bond and trusting one another. The show is so intense,’ she continued. ‘You’ve got to trust one another and feel like a team, otherwise you can’t go on. It’s a very intense show emotionally and physically, in every single way.

‘I think at the end of the day you have a very big task in front of you and pressure on your shoulders.’

Over the weekend, Stacey’s ex Sam Tucknott claimed he found a message on the journalist’s phone from dancer Kevin, reading ‘I love you’.

Sam claimed that Stacey told him she didn’t start dating Kevin until they broke up in March.

He told The Sun: ‘I was getting my stuff to leave. Stacey was in the loo. Her phone went and it was Kevin Clifton. I grabbed the phone and confronted her. She said she’d tell me everything I needed to know.’

He went on to say that Stacey told him she didn’t start ‘entertaining’ Kevin until they had split up.

But Stacey has since spoken out on the allegations, saying there are ‘two sides to every story’.

The journalist tweeted: ‘Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story.

‘I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here. Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward.’

Good Morning Britain returns 6am on ITV.

Fifty Shades Of Grey author Erika James, known by her pen name E L James, has revealed that she gets embarrassed by men reading her novels.

The 56-year-old writer, who’s new romance book The Mister has just been released, joined Christine Lampard on Lorraine to talk about her saucy works and how she’s currently holding fire on following up with another Fifty edition.

‘I write for myself primarily,’ Erika began. ‘Fifty was a book I wanted to read and I love sharing it with women and I can talk about it with women all the time.

‘I get a little embarrassed about men reading it and I’ve had various emails from men and I just think, “Oh my God.”‘

Erika admitted she needs to fire up her muse before working on any more Fifty books (Picture; Rex)

She then recalled one particular email she received from a 71-year-old man who thanked her for reminding him what it’s like to fall in love again, branding the message ‘cute.’

‘Your husband does proof read everything though?’ asked Christine.

‘He does, yes,’ Erika replied. ‘He’s very good. He reads everything that I do and I really appreciate that.’

However for those of you who were hoping that Erika would be expanding her Fifty Shades trilogy anytime, you are sorely mistaken.

‘I think my muse needs to fire up,’ Erika said. ‘We’re going to wait and see.’

According to Penguin, Erika’s new book The Mister is ‘a contemporary romance set in London, Cornwall and Eastern Europe that introduces readers to the privileged and aristocratic young Englishman Maxim Trevelyan and the mysterious, talented and beautiful Alessia Demachi, who’s recently arrived in London owning little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.’

At the time of the novel’s announcement in January, Erika added: ‘Maxim and Alessia have led me on a fascinating journey and I hope that my readers will be swept away by their thrilling and sensual tale, just as I was while writing, and that, like me, they fall in love with them.’

Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.

Season Premiere of the award-winning HBO Series.
Game Of Thrones has forever left its mark on HBO (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones season eight is only one episode in but it’s already broken records for the premium cable channel, HBO.

Returning to TV last Sunday night, 17.4million people tuned in to catch up with what’s going on in Winterfell as the fight for the Seven Kingdoms begins to reach its climax.

Coming back to a series high for a season opener, HBO Now also boasted the biggest streaming night ever thanks to the Westeros fantasy series.

To compare, Time Magazine states 16.1million people tuned in for the season seven opening episode, and for its finale, 16.9million people were glued to their sofas.

Not too shabby, you lot. Not too shabby at all.

Almost makes the literal ball-busting efforts Kit Harington and co went to make the show perfect worth it, are we right?

The season eight kick-off has potential love stories a-blooming, a bunch of alliances being tested, and of course, a load of blood and guts.

Season Premiere of the award-winning HBO Series.
Who will win the Game Of Thrones? (Picture: HBO)

And we have no doubt in our mind it’s about to get a hell of a lot worse with the final five episodes that are about to come storming in.

In the next episode, we’ve already been promised some serious trouble as Jaime Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen come face-to-face.

Jaime will also have to fully confront his past after seeing Bran – the boy he pushed out of a window as a child, staring him down upon his arrival at Winterfell.

With everything to play for, and with Jon Snow now aware he has a viable place in Game Of Thrones, it’s just a matter of time before things get out of hand.

Game Of Thrones continues Sundays on HBO and Sky Atlantic. And is available to watch on NOW TV.

What was the spelling mistake in Line of Duty?

Line of Duty season five
We still don’t know who H is – but has a spelling error given us a clue? (Picture: BBC)

Line Of Duty viewers think that a big clue to the identity of the mysterious H may have been given away – and it’s all thanks to a spelling error.

The latest instalment of the fifth series got them talking when it aired on Sunday night, and a scene featuring a conversation featuring an unknown person was shown, complete with very obvious typo.

So just what was it and why do people think it’s a clue to H’s identity?

Here’s what you need to know.

What was the spelling mistake that got Line Of Duty viewers so excited?

Sunday night’s show left viewers guessing in the wake of messages exchanged between OCG (Organised Crime Gang) main man John Corbett and an unidentified person at the start of the episode.

Not necessarily that significant, apart from the fact that the person sending Corbett – who appeared to be receiving orders from whoever is pulling the strings in his criminal gang – made a bit of a blunder, spelling ‘definitely’ as ‘definately’.

Line Of Duty season 5 spelling error
Is it a clue or a red herring? (Picture: BBC)

Now of course this could have been a genuine mistake on the show’s part or just a big old red herring – but given how twisty and turny Line Of Duty is, it could equally have been a clue.

Regardless, it left audiences speculating over the identity of the mysterious crooked copper ‘H’ – whom many believe to be show stalwart Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar).

They’re not so sure now – as they reckon Hastings would be educated enough to be able to spell correctly.

Who could H in Line Of Duty be?

Adrian Dunbar as Ted Hastings in Line Of Duty
Is Ted Hastings really H? (Picture: BBC)

There have been a whole number of theories put forward by viewers as to the potential identity of ‘H’.

Fans might be convinced that the spelling mistake is a clue – but previously the finger of suspicion was left pointing at Ted Hastings following a tense interrogation at the end of episode two.

Or could it possibly be Gill Biggeloe (Polly Walker)? There seems to be a whole lot of evidence in favour of that theory too.

Or perhaps it was Lester Hargreaves (Tony Pitts) all along – even if he did ultimately meet a grim fate at the hands of OCG in the most recent episode.

Sorry, this video isn't available any more.

Or someone we haven’t even thought about yet?

We’re not sure we’re going to be put out of our misery any time soon.

When is Line Of Duty on?

The next episode – the fourth in the series – airs on Sunday night on BBC One at 9pm.

If you’ve missed any you can catch up with the series via BBC iPlayer.
