Love Island kicks off tonight with Tommy Fury’s search for romance (Picture: ITV)
Love Island’s Tommy Fury is gearing up for his search for a girlfriend to begin, as the show finally kicks off tonight.
And, speaking about his dating history, the 20-year-old explained he had been single for around eight to 10 months, after his relationship with Millie Roberts fizzled out.
While he’s adamant he ‘can’t say a bad word about the girl’, it turns out she has a few choice words for him
Taking to her Instagram story, she claimed they were still in contact earlier this year, hitting out at Tyson Fury’s brother for chasing ‘fame and money’.
Sharing a snap of herself and her ex – which was taken on 19 February – the 22-year-old said: ‘Didn’t realise Feb-March was 8-10 months ago? I know your not the best at maths but this is no excuse (sic),’ she wrote.
‘It’s mad what fame and money can do to people try and like the whole relationship was nothing.

‘But okay Tommy, you do you.’
Ouch.
In a chat with OK! Magazine before the show, Tommy opened up about his dating history, explaining Millie was his first – and only – girlfriend.
‘I’ve been single now for about 8-10 months. But like I say, it was my first relationship. We all have first girlfriends,’ he said.
‘It just fizzled out. I can’t say a bad word about the girl, but as far as I’m concerned, it just fizzled out.
‘And I’m very honest with my feelings so I approached her and said, “Listen I’m not really feeling it anymore. You’re a great girl but as far as a relationship is concerned I can’t really go 100% in it”.
‘And that’s just the way it was to be honest, nothing more nothing less. Just a first relationship. Life experience – that was it really.’

Here is everything that you need to know about Love Island contestant Anton Danyluk.
Who is Anton Danyluk?
Anton is 24-years-old who lives in Airdrie in Scotland, and he owns a gym.
The fitness fanatic has said that he hopes to bring to success to Scotland by doing well in the new series.
Speaking about why he thinks he could be successful, Anton said: ‘I am Scottish and I don’t think there has been a Scottish guy on the show before. I think I am the first? Laura Anderson and Camilla Thurlow both got to the final. Hopefully, I’ll get further than them and win it!’
Anton has described himself as funny and hard working, and said that he loves to encourage and motivate people.
When explaining his worst traits, the 24-year-old said: ‘I can be moody and I’m definitely an overthinker. Sometimes I can be a bit selfish.’
He also confessed that he’s ‘never been loyal in any of my relationships’.
‘I will welcome the President of the United States here,’ Piers began. ‘There will be thousands running to the streets with their baby blimps and their posters.
‘Perfectly entitled to do it and I’m perfectly entitled to say that I think, on D-Day week, it’s a little bit disrespectful to be waving baby balloons all around the place at the President of the United States.’
The presenter continued: ‘Because when we needed the Americans in World War II, they were there for us.
‘If our response to that country is to have bigger protests against the leader of the United States then it ever was against the leader of Saudi Arabia, or the leaders of China or Russia, who all got state visits without these mass protests.

‘There’s something a bit warped about our values, isn’t there?’
After the show, Piers wrote a lengthy column slamming London Mayor Sadiq Khan for authorising the giant baby blimp during Trump’s visit.
‘As a Londoner, I’m utterly ashamed by the selfish, puerile, virtue-signalling antics of my Mayor,’ he admitted.
Piers discussed the protests on Good Morning Britain (Picture: Rex)
‘He has diminished himself, his office, and his country, and I apologise to all Americans offended by this disgracefully antagonistic welcome to their President during such an important visit.’
Piers ended the Mail Online article: ‘Bottom line is this: do we want the lasting images from this historic occasion to be of a pathetic orange baby balloon flying over our Parliament, or of a U.S. President standing shoulder to shoulder with the Queen to pay tribute to the D-Day heroes?
‘If your answer is the balloon, then you’re a stone cold loser too.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

Samira on Yewande comparisons and the racism she received (Picture: Rex – Getty)
Love Island’s Samira Mighty has expressed her concerns for new Islander Yewande Biala after fans compared the two black women.
While in the villa last year, the Londoner experienced racist trolls, microaggression from fellow contestants and also failed to properly find love while on the show – as the majority of male contestants seemingly did not find her attractive.
Samira voluntarily left the show early – after we watched her sob over her short-lived coupling up with Frankie Foster – and has now said that the standards viewers hold black women to are not equal to that of their white counterparts.
As the first non-racially ambiguous black women on the show in 2018, the former theatre performer revealed she was glad to see Yewande cast for the series that begins tonight on ITV – but one thing is already getting on her nerves.
‘I feel like there has been so many comparisons between the two of us,’ she told Metro.co.uk. ‘The only thing that is similar – it’s not even the colour of our skin – it’s that she is a shade of brown.
‘I was trending on Twitter when the line-up came out because of the comparisons.
‘I’m different from her. I’m a theatrical person and she’s a scientist. I think our personalities are different. You can even see it in the first intro (video). Our personalities are so different.
Samira worries for Yewande (Picture: Bliss Sanctuary For Women)
Yewande, a 23-year-old Dubliner of Nigerian descent, first appeared in the Love Island promo last week with many fans on social media instantly commenting on the fact that she opted to wear a full frontal lace wig, in comparison to Samira, who wore a weave – or extensions – while in the villa last year.
Samira bemoaned: ‘People were tweeting thank God she [Yewande] is wearing a wig. Does she know how hot it is out there? The thing is, whoever is going into Love Island, you don’t need to be looking at if their [wig] closure is “laid”.’
The former West End performer agreed that there are high expectations for the black contestants to date other black Islanders.
Yewande’s wig has been a big topic on social media (Picture: ITV)
People are hoping Michael and Yewande will crack on (Picture: ITV)
Samira wonders what would happen if Sherif and Yewande couple up (Picture: ITV)
Calling the obsessions strange, Samira said: ‘If Sherif does pick her, people are going to say “Oh okay, there is a black couple” and then it’s going to be cliche. It’s just weird.
‘Everyone chill out. It’s now 2019, we should be able to do whatever we want.’
The singer pointed out that expectations are not the same for black or mixed-raced men in the villa, but admits that she doesn’t ‘know enough’ to comment – however she maintained that it is unfair for people to completely judge people on their dating preferences and choice of wigs.
Also referring to her co-star Jack Fowler, who was fondly dubbed Black Jack for his accent and mixed St Helenian heritage, she added: ‘Nobody says anything when a white girl likes a black man and nobody said anything about the “Black Jack” stuff. People love that.’
The reality TV star, who split from Frankie weeks after leaving the villa to be with him, spent a week in Bali at Bliss Sanctuary For Women in a retreat to ‘feed her mind’ after a hectic year adjusting to fame.
Samira said her wellness trip in Bali was much needed (Picture: Bliss Sanctuary For Women)
Admitting that the wellness trip was ‘a break she really needed’, Samira discussed the struggles reality TV contestants face when transitioning into becoming a celebrity.
The dancer said: ‘Obviously when Frankie cheated on me I was going through a hard time because obviously, you don’t go through a public break up normally. It’s not a normal thing.’
Her comments come amid the debate surrounding the duty of care Islanders receive following the tragic deaths of two former contestants.
Speaking of the aftercare she has received after leaving the villa, the actress said it was ‘great’ but she would have loved to have access to the upgraded version that has only now been made available.
‘I’m quite good at reaching out though, and I always reached out to ITV and the producers, and they always call me straight away, first thing in the morning and organize a session with the psychologist,’ she added referring to her struggles during her highly publicised break up.
After evaluating their previous care, Love Island have added enhanced psychological support and more detailed conversations with potential Islanders regarding the impact of participation on the show.
On top of that, each islander will be given social media and financial management training to help them tackle their sudden cashflow and attention online.
Love Island launches on ITV2 tonight at 9 pm.

Fans of the show released their inner Sherlock Homes and by transforming into full-blown detectives, discovered that the magician tweeted a pretty big clue during this year’s audition rounds.
Despite the person behind the mask being speculated for months on end Marc, who was Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer in 2018, basically told us eight weeks ago.
‘Can’t believe a year has past, an incredible experience. Wishing everyone auditioning the very best, enjoy the ride [sic],’ he wrote.
Diehard viewers are convinced that this was Marc’s way of cryptically revealing him to be X, writing: ‘It was there all along… Amazing’ and ‘X was dropping the clue right at the start of the series’.

X finally took off his mask last night, with Marc telling judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and the audience: ‘It was always hope and never giving up.
‘It’s been an honour sharing X with you. I am X. Thank you.’
Explaining reasons for remaining anonymous throughout series 13, Marc told viewers in a video: ‘I was in Britain’s Got Talent last year and I was a significant feature of last year because of the context of the audition and the story behind it.
‘I wanted to be anonymous for that reason. I didn’t want to have any success because of that.’
He added: ‘I just wanted to speak from the heart and deliver a message of hope.’
Britain’s Got Talent is expected to return to ITV later this year.

A released date for the new series hasn’t been confirmed yet, but if it follows the usual pattern then fans can expect it to air in January 2020.
Ardal O’Hanlon took over as the lead in the series when Kris Marshall stepped down in series six (Picture: BBC)
In the new series Ardal will be joined by co-stars Toby Bakare (Officer JP Hooper) and Shyko Amos (Officer Ruby Patterson), as well as Aude Legastelois who will become a series regular as DS Maedeleine Dumas after appearing towards the end of series eight.
The new line-up includes Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy Fury, beauty therapist Amber Gill, and the brother of Strictly’s AJ Pritchard – Curtis Pritchard.
If you’re planning to get stuck-in to this year’s series then here is how many episodes you can expect to be watching.
How long will Love Island series five be?
ITV has yet to confirm when series five will end, but it is likely to be similar to the 2018 series and end after eight weeks.
Last year’s show lasted from 4 June until 30 July, making it the longest one so far as contestants appeared in 49 episodes across the whole series.
It now seems likely that this will be the length the producers will look to stick to, meaning that contestants can expect to stay in the villa for around two months if they want to last until the end.
Tommy Fury, Anna Vakili and Joe Garratt are all part of this year’s line-up (Picture: ITV)
It’s possible that the show could go on even longer this year, especially if it surpasses the total of 38 contestants who featured in the villa last series.
The first series in 2015 lasted for five and a half weeks, airing 29 episodes, but since then the number of episodes and length of the series has continued to grow.
Is Love Island on TV every night?
Love Island usually airs every night on ITV2, except for Saturdays.
Instead fans will only be able to watch a shorter Unseen Bits episode, which features various unseen moments and highlights from across the week.
This meant that last series there were 49 episodes across the 57 days that the Islanders were in the villa.
Each episode of the series lasts for one hour, except for special episodes, including the launch of the new series which will be on for one and a half hours tonight.
The professional dancer, who joins the likes of Amber Gill and Tommy Fury in the 2019 series, ended up in hospital with his brother Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard after he was beaten up by a group of eight thugs on a night out in Cheshire.
Curtis, 23, sustained injuries so bad that he was forced to quit Dancing With The Stars and later had to undergo an emergency operation ‘to correct the damages he sustained to his knee’ as well as take time out to recover ‘from injuries to his eye and face’.
‘It’s been incredible, the support, [they had after the club incident] I didn’t expect it find it,’ the new islander said. ‘It’s a bit weird and messed up because you get all of this fame and newspaper coverage but things like this happen all the time.’
He continued to OK! Magazine: ‘But there shouldn’t be this attention because of who someone is, the attention should be on that it shouldn’t be happening – not because of who it happened to.

‘I’ve learnt a lot from it – there’s more to worry about then if I’m late for work, or tied up in the smallest of things.
‘You don’t need to do a lot more to life other than be nice protecting people. I learnt a lot.’
Curtis is set to be a late arrival into the infamous Majorcan villa and will be ruffling some feathers when he makes his debut with Tommy.
‘My main turn-off is hygiene,’ Curtis spilled in his VT. ‘Do you know when you have a toothbrush and it gets really dirty and people don’t clean them and it just builds up with toothpaste and dirt and everything?’
He added: ‘I can’t wait to get into the villa and salsa into somebody’s life and sweep them off their feet with a nice dance move.’
Love Island airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.

The stars of Love Island 2019 have been spilling the beans about their love lives ahead of the new series launch.
From their weird celebrity crush to whether they’ve cheated on a partner, the islanders aren’t afraid to tell the truth – which should make this series pretty explosive.
In the quiz, called Check Your Balls, Lucie Donlan wants a man with good hair, while Sherif Lanre reveals a ‘nice smile and eye contact’ is enough to get him in the mood.
And Callum McLeod has probably the strangest celeb crush of all, admitting he used to fancy Cilla Black ‘when I was a little boy’.
Moving on to relationships, and the singletons are asked if they have ever cheated on someone before.
Tommy Fury gets into our good books by declaring he is a ‘loyal guy’ who would never ever think of cheating on someone.
But Curtis Pritchard has been a bad boy in the past, admitting that he did play away while in a relationship.
He confesses: ‘Yes I have cheated. It’s one of the silliest things I’ve ever done but I regret it and I’ve learned a lot from it.’
Curtis admitted he has cheated on a partner in the past (Picture: ITV)
We’ll see once Love Island starts, shall we?
Lastly, the islanders are quizzed about their biggest turn-ons, and props has to go to Anna Vakili for being brutally honest.
‘What turns you on is a big d**k really,’ she says, ‘but I can’t really be saying that!’
The launch episode will see the islanders meet for the first time in the villa, where the first couples will be formed.
Surfer girl Lucie turns out to be an instant hit as both Joe Garratt and Anton Danyluk make a play for her. Who will she couple up with?
Love Island starts tonight at 9pm on ITV.

What has Amy said about herself?
Amy describes herself as ‘the Bridget Jones of my friendship group so I need to find someone’ – but also said: ‘I’m a good mix of someone who can be fun and serious, I’ll be able to look after people and I’ll be able to get really stuck in with all the fun things too.’
She’s also had a brief brush with celebrity after meeting Liam Payne on a night out – leading to rumours that she was dating the One Direction star.
‘We were in the VIP bit and so was he and he walked past me and I smiled and he said ‘Hey, you alright? What’s your name?’ He told us to come and sit in his booth and we had a
picture together. I put it on Instagram and then my cousin who was twelve and a big One Direction fan put it on her Instagram and suddenly I was on all these international One Direction accounts.
‘I was on Sugarscape and I was getting hate from ten-year-olds because they thought I was dating him!’

Khloe Kardashian insisted she had nothing to do with Tristan Thompson’s face being blurred out in a recent episode (Picture: Backgrid)
Khloe Kardashian has hit back after her ex Tristan Thompson’s face appeared to be blurred out in a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Tristan has been absent from the show since his relationship with Khloe broke down following his cheating scandal and kiss with Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner’s BFF.
However he did pop up in footage taken by Khloe which showed him holding their daughter True.
Fans noticed that in the clip, from an episode made before the whole Jordyn thing, Tristan’s face had been blurred out, and flagged it up to Khloe on Twitter who was live-tweeting the show.
When one viewer asked about it, Khloe replied: ‘Wait? It is!?!?? I did not even notice that. I don’t know.
‘Well, you obviously know who it is LOL so I don’t know what the point of that is. I’ll find out.’
She went on: ‘We obviously didn’t do anything. He might not have signed a waiver to show those images.
‘Why would I want to blur his face? I’m not hiding his identity LOL.’
(Picture: Twitter)
(Picture: Twitter)
Another fan suggested that there might be ‘a paper you have to sign in order to be shown on the show’.
Khloe tweeted back: ‘Yes there is!’ along with a couple of eye roll emojis.
Given how he his relationship with Khloe ended, we can understand that he might want to lay low for a bit.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.
Tristan’s face was obscured in the episode (Picture: E!)
The new series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is going to show how Khloe dealt with finding out Tristan had kissed Jordyn at a party.
In the emotional trailer, Khloe breaks down in tears and is seen screaming ‘liar’ down the phone at someone on the other end.

Khloe sobbed: ‘It sucks that it has to be so public. I’m not just a TV show. This is my life.’
She added: ‘Tristan might love me whatever that means. He has no respect for me whatsoever.’
Jordyn went on to give an explosive interview about the rumours surrounding her and Tristan, in which she claimed he tried to kiss her.
‘My family was ruined’: Khloe goes through the emotional wringer in the season (Picture: E!)
‘I’ve spoken a little with Khloe and let her know that I want to do what ever it takes for her peace of mind, not my image or my career. That’s something in its own,’ she said on Red Table Talk.
‘There was no malicious intent. I did as much apologising as I could do.’
After initially accusing Jordyn of ‘lying’ about the situation, Khloe walked back her comments and said Tristan, the father of her daughter True, is to blame.

She tweeted: ‘This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a roller coaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have.
‘Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.
‘What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.
‘I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True.’
Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs Sundays on E! in the US and is available to stream on hayu in the UK.

Tyson Fury’s been enjoying a boxing comeback (Picture: Reuters)
Tommy Fury is being tipped to be one of the most popular Love Island contestants this year – with bookies already setting their sights on him as a potential winner.
The 20-year-old boxer – who was linked to the show earlier in May ahead of the line-up being unveiled last week – is one of 12 new contestants who’ll be heading for the villa when the new series kicks off on Monday night.
And boxing runs in his family – as aside from his own career in the ring, his rather famous brother Tyson is also well-known as a heavyweight boxer – and we’re guessing he might just rack up a few mentions on the show.
As the series gets underway, here’s what you need to know about Tyson Fury…
Who is Tommy Fury’s brother Tyson?
Tyson – who at 30 is 10 years older than his sibling – was born on 12 August 1988 in Wythenshawe, Manchester.
The family is of Irish traveller heritage, and has a history of producing boxers – with dad John competing in the 1980s as ‘Gypsy’ John Fury.
Tyson was seen back in the ring last December taking on Deontay Wilder (Picture: Getty Images)
Tyson has trained since he was eight years old and competed both for Ireland and England as an amateur – winning the EU Junior Championship for England in 2007.
He was ranked third in the world as a junior prior to turning professional in 2008 – although missed out on the chance to represent Great Britain at the Beijing Olympics that year as another boxer, David Price, was chosen to represent his weight group.
This hasn’t stopped him from having an impressive career in the ring, winning the WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight titles in 2015 after beating Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko.
However he took a two-year absence from the ring in 2016 before returning in 2018, having previously opened up about his battle with depression and admitting drug use in a Rolling Stone interview.
Speaking on Joe Rogan’s Podcast last year, Tyson opened up about thoughts of suicide which had plagued him at his worst point, saying: ‘I had just bought a brand new car, a Ferrari convertible in summer 2016, and I was on the motorway.
‘At the bottom of about a five-mile stretch, there is a massive bridge and I got the car up to 190mph and did not care about anyone. I didn’t care about nothing, I just wanted to die.’
He admitted that he was deterred after hearing a voice urging him to think about his family.
‘Just as I got to the bridge, I heard a voice saying ‘no don’t do this Tyson – think about your kids, your family and all the people you will hurt,’ he explained.
‘I pulled over and I was shaking and was so afraid. And after that day I would never, ever think or try to do it again.’
Tyson is now an ambassador for mental health charity the Frank Bruno Foundation, founded by the boxing legend.
Is Tyson Fury married?
Tyson met his wife Paris when she was 15, and the couple have been married since 2009 – going on to have five children.
What has Tommy Fury said about his brother?
Tommy Fury has said he refuses to be defined as Tyson’s little brother (Picture: ITV)
Speaking ahead of his appearance on Love Island, Tommy said: ‘I’m my own man and I’ve said it throughout my whole boxing career.
‘I don’t want to be labelled as his little brother, I’m my own man and I’m doing the best that I can do in life and that’s all I’m setting out to achieve.’
‘My brother went, “Go on, lad!” It is what it is, at the end of the day. We’re here to have a good time and find a love partner. I would like to find that myself,’ he said.
‘If I’m there in bed and we both have a good connection and feel that it’s the right time …We can’t put a time frame on things, it has to feel right. I’d be open to it, but I’d keep it under the covers.’
Love Island kicks off on ITV2 on Monday night at 9pm.

Actor Paul Darrow has died after a short illness (Picture: REX)
TV star Paul Darrow has died at age 78 after a short illness.

‘A star has gone out today; the world will be a darker place without him.’

Love Island kicks off on ITV2 on Monday night at 9pm.
Love Island 2019 is finally underway and the series five intake have chosen their partners in the first coupling up on the season.
Amy Hart, Amber Gill, Anna Vakili, Yewande Biala and Lucie Dolan were first to enter the Majorcan getaway, with boys Anton Danyluk, Joe Garratt, Michael Griffiths, Sherif Lanre and Callum Macleod joining them one at a time.
Anton and Amy were the first islanders to seek each other out, with Amy telling presenter Caroline Flack she stepped forward ‘because I have eyes and obviously he’s really really fit.’
She soon discovered that Anton’s mum ‘shaves his bum’ and that he’s lined her up to takeover the grooming task. Who said romance was dead?
Lucie and Joe ended up together just moments after she had stepped forward for Michael. However, Lucie quickly decided Michael wasn’t for her, explaining that her new choice was ‘more her type.’
Meanwhile, Amber decided to palm off Sherif for Callum. Explaining why she decided to jump ship from Sherif, Amber told Caroline: ‘I liked the way he came over to you and greeted you properly.’

After being on the subs bench, Sherif landed up with Anna and Michael bagged the last single girl Yewande.
‘We now have our five couples,’ Caroline told the islanders. ‘The choices you’ve just made could decide how long you stay in the villa.
‘In your couples you will spend time getting to know each other, taking on challenges together, living togheter and even sharing a bed together.’

‘In just eight weeks time, the public will be voting for their favourite couple. That couple will stand to win a massive £50,000 cash prize and be crowned the winners of Love Island 2019.’
Obviously it’s not Love Island without a big old twist and Caroline revealed that two more contestants would be joining the villa to ruffle a few feathers.
Love Island has kicked off already, with a new group of singletons ready to jump straight into relationships.
The show has only been on a matter of minutes and we’ve already been gifted with our first catchphrase.
‘It is what it is,’ very deep words from Sherif there…
However, it was down to Anton to provide the first awkward moment – when he revealed his mum shaves his bum.
Yes, seriously.
The 24-year-old matched up with Amy – becoming the first official Love Island 2019 couple – when she was the only person to step forward for him.
While the Scotland native was thrilled by his new partnership, Caroline Flack asked why some of the other girls didn’t step forward for him.

Anna remained diplomatic, explaining he was too short for her, while Amber went straight in there with his grooming routine.
She asked: ‘Do you shave your legs?
To which he said: ‘Yes!’

But then it got a little awkward when Caroline questioned: ‘Do you shave your whole body?’
‘My mum usually shaves my bum for me…,’ he added. ‘That’s Amy’s job now…’

And viewers at home were having absolutely none of it.
‘How you getting your mum to shave your bum? No Anton no #LoveIsland,’ one posted.
‘How do you even approach your mum and ask her to shave your bum??? #LoveIsland,’ another said.
A fan commented: ‘Imagine admitting on TV your mum used to shave your bum #LoveIsland.’
While a Twitter user added: ‘What is Anton gonna do now that he doesn’t have his mum to shave his bum in the villa? #LoveIsland.’
Anyone else want to fly out to Majorca to rescue Amy? With a stop in Scotland on the way home for his mum?
Love Island continues daily at 9pm, on ITV2.

Yewande’s accent has won … everything (Picture: ITV)
Love Island has only just kicked off and Yewande Biala’s ‘sweet and amazing’ Irish accent has already won the show.
As the nation prepares to pause their social life for about eight weeks to watch half-naked people walked around a villa looking for love – or fame? – social media fell head over heels in love with her voice.
The fifth season of the ITV dating show launched tonight and like clockwork, fans flocked online to provide their stellar commentary.
Let’s be honest social media is best when it is on.
The 23-year-old Dubliner walked into the Spanish villa and struggled to the land her first pick of guys, so ended up with firefighter Michael who was also left on the subs bench.
But it was the scientist’s voice that got everyone’s tongues wagging.
Some social media users noted their surprise with Irish accent while others immediately converted their Twitter accounts to stan accounts dedicated to the Islanders.
One user said: ‘Madly in love with Yewande’s accent’.
‘I didn’t know the Irish accent was sweet like this,’ an infatuated viewer said.
‘Yewande is so gorgeous and obviously smart, and her accent is amazing. I’m really hoping she doesn’t disappoint us,’ said another.
A hopeful fan said: ‘Love Yewande already bc she’s got a cool accent ffs i hope she finds a man [sic]’
Another social media user said: ‘Yewande is gorgeous too, love the accent.’
Meanwhile, Anton’s confidence in his own accent did not go down so well online.
On Monday’s episode, the Islander said: ‘Bet you didn’t expect a Scottish accent front this.’
‘Of course not Anton, you hid your kilt and F***ing bagpipes really well,’ a Twitter user fumed.
Another posted: ‘I love the Scottish accent but Anton might have just ruined that.’
‘Anton accent is honestly the most painful thing I’ve ever had to endure,’ tweeted another.
Michael and Yewande Biala talk education by the pool (Picture: ITV)
Later in the episode, Michael and Yewande had a chat by the pool where Michael revealed that he’s got a degree in bio-medical science, impressing Yewande instantly.
As the two islanders got to know each other by the pool, Yewande talked education, telling the potential suitor: ‘I’m a scientist. A biologist. I studied a bio-technology degree.’
Michael replied: ‘That’s quite interesting because I did bio medical science at uni.’
Shocked at the revelation, she gasped: ‘Did you? That’s class!’
As class as your accent, Yewande!
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2
