Dust off your old flip phone and CD collection, because the early 00s are back!
Or, more specifically, 00s teen icon Lizzie McGuire is.
Yes, the hit teen show that ran for two seasons from 2001-2004 is soon to be rebooted on Disney+. And what’s more, lead star Hilary Duff is hinting former leading man Adam Lamberg might join her on the revival.
‘I really hope he’s going to be involved,’ an excited Hilary enthused in a new interview.
Adam and Hilary as Gordo and Lizzie = adorable (Picture: YouTube)
‘We’ve been planning out the season and coming up with what everything looks like, and it’s so important for him to be there for part of it.’
Hilary famously played titular character Elizabeth on the Disney Channel show, while Adam played David ‘Gordo’ Gordon.
Speaking about Lizzie and Gordo not ending up together in the original series, Hilary said: ‘I feel like them not being together is what was so good… It’s that one person that you’re like, Was he the one? Is it ever going to be? You’re always kind of wondering. We wanted it to hurt everyone a little bit, and it’ll continue to hurt.’
Lizzie McGuire ended back in 2004 when Hilary was 16 years old. She’s now 31 (and as you might have noticed, looks almost exactly the same), around the same age Lizzie will be when the show picks her story back up.

‘Finally being in my 30s, it felt like a good time to revisit her,’ said Hilary.
‘It’s a complicated stage. That’s what people loved about Lizzie so much — that phase of becoming a teenager. It’s such a complicated but fun part of time to navigate. She was everyone’s best friend.
‘She was faced with every challenge that was relatable. Now, I think stepping into the role as a 30-year-old trying to navigate life is equally interesting. Or more specifically, waking up on your 30th birthday and thinking, this isn’t how I planned this to look, what do I do now? That’s an interesting story to me.’
Since her teen star days, Hilary has gone on to appear in hit shows like Younger and films like The Haunting of Sharon Tate.

Amanda Holden couldn’t believe her eyes when Jai McDowell returned to BGT: The Champions (Picture: ITV)
Amanda Holden was flustered when she was reunited with 2011 Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowell as he came back with a fresh new look on BGT: The Champions.
Tomorrow night Jai returns to face judges Amanda, Simon Cowell, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon, where he’s hoping to become the first UK act to make it through to the finale of the All-Star series following the elimination of Paul Potts last week.
But it sounds like the singer wows Amanda more than anyone else as it was revealed on today’s Lorraine the 48-year-old gets ‘hot under the collar’ when the 33-year-old returns with a new look.
While Amanda catches her breath, Simon apologises to Jai after claiming the singer didn’t have star quality.
The 59-year-old has got softer with age and the addition of his brood with Eric Cowell, five, but back in 2011, the music mogul was famed for his matter of fact – often cruel – criticism of contestants, even if they turned out to be winners.
Yup, that is Jai McDowell looking fresh to death on BGT: The Champions Picture: ITV)
‘I did feel when I saw him again that he’s the definition of a proud man. He didn’t sulk — he just came back to prove a point. And he did,’ Simon admitted to The Sun after filming the second episode of BGT: The Champions.
‘I knew I had to apologise to him at that moment. It gave me a chance to say something publicly I should have said some time ago.
‘But it was also the fact he had the guts to come back and compete, knowing I wasn’t that supportive the first time he was on the show. I thought, “Good for you — you did very well”. I think he’ll get a lot of work off the back of this show.’
Jai beat child star Ronan Parke in the 2011 BGT finale, but went on to reveal he felt let down by Simon and his label Syco after he was almost immediately dropped shortly after his victory when his album sold just 11,000 copies.
‘I don’t think I got as much support as I was hoping to get when you’re on a show like Britain’s Got Talent, it was one of the biggest shows in the country at the time,’ he told Daily Mail. ‘But it got to the stage where I started thinking, “what went wrong?”, especially when you see all these other stars coming out of reality shows.’
Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions continues tomorrow at 8.30pm on ITV.

The Made In Chelsea star landed awkwardly during the group dance routine, and his injury is such an issue he has been forced to quit before the launch show even airs.
‘I also wanted to say that I wish the best of luck to all of the other guys who are in Strictly this year. They are the best bunch of people ever and the show is gonna be amazing. 2019 is gonna be incredible. I’ll be supporting from the sidelines and I’ll be there in spirit 100%, just I won’t be dancing this year.’
A statement from the show read: ‘Sadly, due to an injury, Jamie Laing will no longer be able to take part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing. As the Strictly launch show is pre-recorded, Jamie will still feature in this programme which airs Saturday September 7.’
It is believed another celeb has been lined up to replace Jamie on the show.
Jamie is the first person to ever drop out of Strictly before the show has begun – but he is far from the first competitor to quit the show.
Jimmy Tarbuck in series four
Jimmy had to leave for health reasons (Picture: PA)
Back in 2006, comedian Jimmy was partnered with Flavia Cacace, and they ended up in the bottom two in the first week.
They were saved from elimination, but Jimmy, then 66, was forced to drop out before the second week due to his health.
Tarbuck was given a doctor’s assessment and it was advised he should no longer continue in the competition.
He said at the time: ‘I’m absolutely devastated that I can no longer take part in Strictly Come Dancing. I really wanted to dance on the show this week but I have to take the advice of the doctors who have told me I need to rest.
‘I would like to thank my wonderful partner Flavia who has taught me so much and been patient in trying to turn this old carthorse into a proper dancer! I will really miss training with her.
‘I will continue to enjoy watching the show and will be there in person on Saturday to see how my fellow contestants are shaping up now their hottest competition is out of the way!’
Kelly Brook in series five
Kelly left after her dad passed away (Picture: Rex Features)
Kelly appeared on series five back in 2007 and was partnered with Brendan Cole.
The model performed seven dances on the show and consistently received impressive marks, including a 36 on her jive.
However, a week after being saved from elimination in week eight, Kelly was forced to withdraw from the competition after her father Kenneth died aged 57 from cancer.
After her dad passed away on the Monday night, the then-28-year-old tried to rehearse but found continuing on too difficult.
A BBC spokesperson said: ‘Sadly Kelly Brook has taken the decision to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing following the loss of her father this week.
‘Kelly has done some training as she had hoped to continue with the show in his memory. However, understandably she has found it too difficult.
‘Kelly has been a fantastic part of the programme and she will be sorely missed by everyone on the show who would also like to express their deepest sympathy to Kelly and her family at this difficult time.’
And Kelly’s rep said: ‘Kelly has decided to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing to be with her family following the death of her father this week.
‘Kelly would like to wish the remaining contestants the best of luck and thank everyone for their support and to add that she thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this series.’
John Sergeant in series six
John feared he might actually win (Picture: BBC)
John Sergeant appeared the show in 2008, partnered with Kristina Rihanoff – and became one of the most infamous Strictly contestants ever.
The former political correspondent never scored above a 22 for a dance, appeared frequently at the bottom of the leaderboard and was criticised by the judges for his lack of commitment.
Arlene Phillips said she would be ‘desolate’ if the journalist one, telling the BBC: ‘There is nothing that is correct about his performances, he is just getting through the dances.’
However, the public repeatedly saved John and Kristina, highly entertained by the terrible-but-great routines.
John made it to week 10 when he decided that the ‘joke’ had gone too far, and quit, returning only to perform a farewell waltz with Kristina.
The then-64-year-old said: ‘I am sorry to say I have decided to leave Strictly Come Dancing. It was always my intention to have fun on the show and I was hoping to stay in as long as possible.
‘The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far. I would like to thank Kristina and all those viewers who have been rooting for me through the series.’
Jade Johnson in series seven
Jade’s knee ‘popped’ during rehearsals (Picture: Guy Levy/BBC/PA Wire)
The fourth person to leave in as many series in a row was Great Britain long jumper Jade.
The athlete was paired with Ian Waite in 2009 and made it to week eight, consistently scoring well with the judges, although landing in the bottom two once.
However, Jade was forced to quit after tearing ligaments in her knee.
She could not perform her tango in week nine, despite rehearsing, and in week 10, it was announced that she and Ian had withdrawn from the competition.
After being ruled out of continuing, a tearful Jade, then 29, said: ‘I’m so so upset that I’m not able to dance.
‘I’m a competitor and I don’t give up easily so I’m absolutely gutted that it means that I can’t continue dancing in the show.
‘I’ve had a great time and really enjoyed learning to dance, and I am going to miss training with Ian who has been a fantastic partner.’
In 2012, Jade claimed that Strictly killed her chances of competing in the London Olympics due to her knee injury.
She said: ‘Strictly has cost me my place in the Olympics. I thought the show injury had healed and I was ready to compete. Sadly it flared up just before the trials and made it impossible to get through them.
‘I’ve been doing athletics for 25 years, training for the Olympics for two years. I hadn’t competed recently because of a back injury and adrenalin fatigue. So the fact my knee hadn’t healed completely only came to light when I pushed myself harder. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t speak to anyone for two weeks – I couldn’t face it.’
Will Young in series 14
Will left after two dances (Picture: BBC)
Will joined the class of 2016, and was partnered with Karen Clifton on the show.
However, two dances in, the Leave Right Now singer… well, left, saying in a statement: ‘To be a part of Strictly has been a long time ambition of mine,’ the statement said. ‘As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for. I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out.
‘I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience. I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come.
‘Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television.’
It was initially speculated that the star quit after clashing with then-head judge Len Goodman, after he critiqued his Bollywood style salsa the week before he left.
The 40-year-old told Event: ‘Mental illness is mental illness. I was unwell. In the weeks leading up to Strictly, all I could think about was how could I get out of doing the show. I knew I didn’t have the strength, that I wasn’t in the right place and that I would do myself real damage.
‘I actually looked into the easiest way to break my legs so I couldn’t dance. That’s how bad it was.’
Strictly Come Dancing starts at 7.10pm on Saturday night on BBC One.

The return of Evil Morty… or is it? (Picture: Adult Swim/Twitter/RickandMorty)
Another teaser image for the upcoming fourth series of Rick and Morty has dropped and it looks like Evil Morty could be making his return.
With our favourite adult animation returning to TV screens in November on its new UK home of Channel 4, it won’t be long until we find out what hair-brained schemes Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith have been up to nearly two years since we last saw them.
Over the last three seasons, the growing presence of evil has been an underlying storyline in the Adult Swim cartoon, culminating in Evil Morty’s dictatorship as President of the Citadel.
One of an infinite number of Mortys, fans spotted the recurring series villain in an arty new picture shared on the show’s Twitter account, with the evil figure blending in among the regular Mortys.
‘Black and white and dread all over,’ the caption read, referencing the fearful figure, who is recognisable thanks to the transmitter under his eye that he often disguises with a stylish eyepatch.
Knowing Rick and Morty, however, things are never quite as they appear and while this picture seems to suggest that Evil Morty is coming back for series four, we’re sure the writers have plenty of tricks up their sleeves.
The spoiler snaps showed Rick fighting some robo-crocs and channelling his inner Theresa May as he runs through a field of alien wheat.
However, after Mr Poopybutthole warned us in the finale of season three that it would be a long wait until the next load of episodes dropped, it looks like we might not have such a big gap between seasons in the future, after Adult Swim commissioned 70 new episodes.
‘We’re super excited that, for the first time ever, we’re locked in, we know what the future is, we have job security,’ co-creator Justin Roiland said.
We’re glad to hear it!

CBBC show Saturday Mash-Up! has become a favourite of ‘wet and messy’ fetishists, who pool their votes to make sure a female celebrity gets ‘slimed’.
The children’s series has found an unlikely fanbase in the ‘wet and messy’ (WAM) community thanks to its pieing and gunging games, which frequently feature celebs being ‘slimed’ or hit in the face with custard pies.
WAM, or sploshing, is a fetish based on getting messy with non-bodily substances, including food, paint, slime or mud and can range from watching people mud wrestle to sitting in cakes.
On one fetish forum dedicated to WAM, groups of fetishists joined forces while the CBBC series was airing to make sure that the female celebrity up for the gunging vote was chosen.
Every episode of the two series of Saturday Mash-Up! so far have featured two or more celebs faced off in a vote, with the ‘loser’ being either gunged immediately or targeted with buckets of slime when they get a question wrong.
The show will return for its third series next year (Picture: BBC/Joel Anderson)
Messages on the sub-forum dedicated to Saturday Mash-Up! encourage other participants to vote repeatedly for whoever the female celebrity is.
When Strictly Come Dancing star Vick Hope was on the show in October 2018, forum participants urged others to vote for her over child star Lenna Gunning-Williams. Those on the forum do not encourage voting for any guest under 18.
Messages included: ‘If we can get Lindsey Russell gunged over a teen male vlogger and Naomi Wilkinson gunged over a member of New Hope Club, we can get Vick Hope slimed’ and ‘Get voting for Vick. She’s very attractive.’
After Vick also lost the Push Off game – where the loser who knocks down the least toilet rolls with a trolley gets hit in the face with custard pies – one person commented: ‘So the girl band might not be involved in any mess, but Vick Hope just lost Push Off and got nicely pied. Probably the best pieing of the series so far.’
Those on the forum encourage others to vote for a certain celebrity (Picture: BBC)
Following their efforts to get Vick slimed, the following week, someone commented: ‘Our voting worked last week, lets do it again. Get out and vote people. BTW Id suggest pooling our votes for Cat [Henstridge].’
In the two series of Saturday Mash-Up, the female celebrities have been slimed in nearly every case; Strictly star Oti Mabuse was gunged over Art Ninja, Kimberly Wyatt over Dominic Brunt, Great British Bake Off’s Briony Williams over John Farnworth, Cat Henstridge over the Pets Factor Vets and Blue Peter’s Lindsey Russell over Jake Mitchell – while Vick Hope was voted over child actress Lenna Gunning-Williams.
On the forum, WAM fetishists have also discussed the celebrities they want to see gunged on the children’s show.
Awaiting the third series of Saturday Mash-Up!, one person wrote: ‘Saffron Barker, wearing skinny jeans and ankle socks! She is so cute, would love to see her gunged’; another commented: ‘Any female pop/TV stars would be great tbh. Sometimes there’s a bit of an overlap with radio, too, so if I’m really optimistic I’d love to see Maya Jama get gunged or pied.’
Lindsey Russell was among the female stars slimed (Picture: BBC)
Another theorised: ‘Pixie Lott is a pretty big name, and she was on it and played a game where she could have potenially gotten pied. Hopefully more big name celebs join the show and are willing to get gunged/pied. However, I think its likely that most of the guests/gunge victims will be CBBC people and lower tier popstars, but if they’re attractive, female, and of-age, then that’s fine by me.’
The WAM subforum is also a place for complaints about the show, which is hosted by Yasmin Evans, Jonny Nelson and Hacker T Dog – mainly about the quality of the pies and the gunge.
One comment about the custard pies said they were of ‘rubbish quality’, saying: ‘They looked really…dry? Even the presenters looked a bit surprised at how crap they were. Hopefully that’s fixed in the coming weeks.’
Others have called out the gunge on occasion: ‘The gunge this week was very poor. Way too thick. They really need to start using messy supplies!’ ‘My only criticism is that the gunge was almost too thick to throw. If you look at the gunging in the first week, the coverage was so much better because it was a bit thinner.’ ‘I personally like the buckets idea because it prolongs the gunging – with a gunge tank it seems to be all over very quickly. Also it takes a bit of time to “build up” the mess, so you see their reactions to whats happening better in my opinion.’
Saturday Mash-Up! first broadcast in September 2017 on BBC2, with its second series airing last year after switching to CBBC.
Following a summer special last month, a third series is expected to air in January 2020.
A rep from CBBC declined to comment.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians trailer is already an uncomfortable introduction to season 17 of the E! reality show as Kris Jenner is rushed to hospital.
While the lives of the reality TV family are splashed all over our lives on the daily, somehow Kris’ horrific ordeal passed the world by.
Until now, as footage from the next episode of KUWTK shows the momager strapped up and carted into an ambulance.
The short clip shows Kim Kardashian and her best pal Jonathan Cheban freaking out in the back of a car as they desperately search for answers to Kris’ condition.
‘What’s going on?’ a panicked Kim is heard crying before jumping of the car.
Thankfully, Kris is alive and well and it seems we can all sleep easy.

Also in the next instalment of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kris breaks down after she’s accused of sleeping with OJ Simpsons again, an allegation which has plagued the 63-year-old since her late husband Rob Kardashian famously represented the disgraced American football star during his trial for the murder of wife Nicole Brown Simpson.
‘For some reason things are a little bit off,’ Kris explains. ‘My life is filled with drama.’
She continues: ‘They printed a story I was sleeping with OJ. After 25 years you think it just wouldn’t be a thing.’
Kris then erupts into tears as she’s forced to deny any sexual relationship with OJ again.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians season 17 launches on E! this Sunday.

Kris Jenner breaks down in tears on the new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians as she is accused of sleeping with OJ Simpson.
OJ was accused in 1994 of murdering Kris’ friend Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman; Kris’ late husband Robert Kardashian was one of OJ’s defence lawyers.
Rumours of romance between Kris and OJ have persisted for years but in the latest trailer for the 17th season of the hit reality show, the matriarch lets her emotions take over as she confides in daughter Khloe.
‘They printed a story I was sleeping with OJ. After 25 years you think it just wouldn’t be a thing,’ said Kris.

The mother of six has consistently denied ever having sex with OJ, as rumours of him being the ‘real father’ of 34-year-old Khloe have failed to die down over the years.

Norman made the claim in his documentary Who Killed Nicole?; the football player was controversially acquitted of killing Nicole and Ron.
While Norman was working with OJ, he collected about 70 hours of footage of him for a potential reality show but he has now put it in his film; Norman has re-told this hot tub story for some years now, retailing it during an interview with the National Enquirer in 2017.
When the alleged jacuzzi encounter was supposed to have occurred, Kris was married to OJ’s lawyer and friend Robert Kardashian Snr. while OJ was married to Nicole.

However in June OJ went on the record to confirm he had ‘never, and I want to stress never, in any way shape or form, have I ever had any interest in Kris romantically or sexually’.
The 71-year-old ex-NFL star added: ‘And I never got any indication that she ever had any interest in me.’
Julie Ann had a memorable first meeting with her on-screen husband (Picture: Getty, Vince Trupsin)
Catch-22’s Julie Ann Emery had a pretty memorable first meeting with her on-screen husband and director George Clooney – and not for the best reasons.
The actress, who stars as Marion Scheisskopf in the miniseries, wasn’t as prepared for the first meeting as she would have liked.
‘The first time I met George I was on set, and I had my hair up and I had a wig cap on – it kind of makes you look bald – I had a full face of Marion makeup,’ Julie Ann recalled to Metro.co.uk.
‘I kind of looked like a drag queen.’
The former Better Call Saul star explained: ‘I was in little cut-off shorts and a t-shirt and I was walking up to get my wig on and someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around and it was George Clooney.
‘I was a tiny bit mortified but he was lovely about it.’
Julie Ann stars as Marion Scheisskopf (Picture: Vince Trupsin)
However, he finds himself unable to do so because of the titular ‘catch-22’ clause – which dictates that pilots who are mentally unfit to fly do not have to continue, but those who apply to leave the Air Force are deemed mentally fit enough to continue.
Despite taking on such a well-known story, Julie Ann and the rest of the cast were determined to put their own stamp on the series.
George stars as Schiesskopf (Picture: Channel 4)
‘Catch-22 is a wildly interesting book, but the women in it are not well drawn,’ she admitted. ‘They’re not three-dimensional.’
With co-star George previously relating the series back to the #MeToo movement, she added: ‘One of the mandates was to make the woman more three-dimensional, to give them a little more agency, to flesh them out a little better. That made it easier for me to make Marion my own.’
Meanwhile, with George taking an unexpected step from Hollywood movies to the small screen, and taking the helm to direct a few of the episodes, Julie-Ann revealed he’s ‘everything you would hope he would be.’
‘He always went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of, that I was welcome,’ she explained.
‘The tone on set is very important to him, that it be a happy, fun place.’
As for Julie Ann’s first reaction when she met the Oscar winner on that fateful day?
‘When I met him, I was like, “Oh my god, you are that good looking!”’ she laughed.
‘I don’t know how to describe that other than it was what you would hope it would be.’
Catch-22 continues Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4.

Michonne is one of the show’s most memorable characters (Picture: Fox)
It’s always a major blow when one of your favourite characters leaves a TV show.
So fans of Michonne from The Walking Dead, we suggest you start mentally preparing yourselves now for her long-confirmed exit.
The departure will come with ‘major’ storyline reveals, as teased by one of the show’s creators.
‘There are some things of major importance that we will learn, which have massive consequences,’ showrunner Angela Kang told TVLine of the character’s exit.
‘But we’ll also get to showcase good, old-fashioned Michonne being a bad ass.’
Michonne is set to bow out this season (Picture: Fox)
Michonne is of course played by star Danai Gurira.
Upcoming episodes sees the main characters conflicting with The Whisperers, a group of survivors who wear other people’s skin to pose as the undead in order to blend in with them.
Lovely.
Teasing other details of the season, Kang said: ‘Brace yourself; this conflict is intense,’ adding of the characters of Carol and Daryl: ‘There’s an emotional core between the two of them that helps us understand the human toll of this story.’
The first episode of the next season will air Sunday 6 October.
While we hope she doesn’t die, we can’t help but hope Michonne’s exit is as memorable as her arrival in season three. She was first seen leading two zombies around on chains like guard dogs, after all.

It’s another tense day for Tommy Shelby as a frantic woman arrives on his door seeking help from his family.
Tommy, who is often regarded as a Robin Hood-style gangster in his hometown, was the last resort for Mrs Connors who begged the MP for help.
Tommy listened patiently to a story from Mrs Connors about her husband’s drunken exploits as she brought three bodies with her – after one her husband’s drunken rampages.
Except Tommy thought she was talking about human bodies until she presented the bodies of three birds that he had strangled.
‘Their singing was the only pretty thing in my life. I don’t care my husband beats me. But not this,’ she said.
‘Mrs Connors we have your address. We will speak to your husband,’ Tommy promised her, as he vowed that Arthur would buy her three more Goldfinches.
The new pets were to be called – Thomas, Arthur and Finn, she promised – to give her husband ‘pause’. Yep, we think that’ll do the trick.
This season fans have been paying close attention to Tommy – who always seems to have a cigarette on the go – and his mysterious cough.
Fans of the show are worried that in his frenzy over someone coming to take his ‘crown’, the vicious looming feud with the Billy Boys – as well as going toe to toe with Oswald Mosley, something else might claim Tommy’s life and his cough might be a clue.
On Thursday, the Made In Chelsea star confirmed that he would no longer be competing in the series, saying he was ‘absolutely devastated’ to be missing out.
Here’s what we know about the injury that Jamie has suffered…
He got hurt while he was practising the group dance routine.
The 30-year-old Made In Chelsea star has been seen on crutches since landing awkwardly.
Strictly producer Sarah James has said: ‘We are so sad that Jamie won’t be able to take part in the series, he had already lit up the ballroom during the launch show with his boundless energy and enthusiasm.
‘We all wish him a full and speedy recovery.’
Jamie himself said: ‘I’m absolutely devastated that I’m unable to continue in the competition, I was so excited to hit the dance floor!
‘I would like to wish the lovely couples all the very best and hope they enjoy their time on the show to the fullest.’
Jamie’s status as a contestant on the show was thrown into doubt when he was first spotted earlier this week wearing a protective boot and using crutches to help him walk.
‘It’s touch and go for Jamie and bosses are waiting to see how his results look after he gets a proper X-ray done,’ an insider previously said.
‘Producers are hoping he’s just landed awkwardly during the group dance and tweaked something rather than it being a more serious injury.’
As for who will be replacing him at such short notice, Emily Atack became the surprise favourite at the bookies after winning the hearts of the nation during her stint on I’m a Celebrity in 2018.
Her involvement could also mean that one of the other male pros, Graziano Di Prima or Gorka Marquez, could now be given a shot at winning the glitterball.
Lorraine Kelly was left howling during own chat show today after a clown gate-crashed the studio and gave her the fright of her life.
Today sees the release of IT: Chapter 2, which will no doubt haunt us all for the foreseeable future as Pennywise returns to the big screen to poison us with more sleepless nights.
However, one cinema go’er who won’t be watching the clown tear kids to shreds is Lorraine. Well, not after today’s edition of her self-titled show today.
As the 59-year-old explained how she would rather do anything other than watch IT on the big screen, an intruder crept up behind and all hell broke loose.
‘That was horrible,’ Lorraine cried. ‘Oh you swines, you absolute swines! I hate clowns, I hate them. I need a gin!’
The sequel to the 2017 reboot of Stephen King’s classic is released in cinemas nationwide today, starring the likes of James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader.
Wed be the same, Lorraine (Picture:Rex Features/ITV)
IT: Chapter 2 follows the children from its original as adults as Pennywise emerges from his subterranean abyss over 30 years since he gobbled up little Georgie and his now-iconic yellow raincoat.
The movie’s already expected to break box office records for a horror with early estimations predicting IT to take almost $200 million (£162 million) globally this weekend.

The 28-year-old was hospitalised in Ibiza after a popped champagne cork split his right eye in half but has opened up on the damage and his prognosis.
‘[The split] didn’t go through the pupil, [it went] from the white part to the iris and through again,’ he said, revealing he had seven stitches but that he was lucky the surgeon could save the eyeball at all.
Speaking on This Morning, he revealed that the sight in his right eye is still gone but he ‘can see light’.
‘It’s like looking through a stain-glassed window, it’s a blur,’ he said.
‘You need two eyes to know where things are, distance is hard,’ he continued, revealing that he spilled a jug of water down girlfriend Kaz Crossley’s dress after taking her out for dinner and attempting to pour water.

He also revealed more details of the incident, revealing that the freak moment occured when he took off his sunglasses at the champagne party because one cork grazed his eye under the lense.
Theo took the glasses off to wipe his eyes, and at that moment someone else popped a bottle and it hit him directly in the eye.
‘It was a bad pain, he said, ‘it was eerie and you just know, it’s common sense, that it wasn’t a good thing.
‘At first, I thought “no no this can’t have happened”, and I hoped it hadn’t happened, but there was blood on my hand and security took me to medical tent… she didn’t speak much English and she was like “oh my god get him to the hospital”.
‘It was very painful, you get hit by anything and the pain eases up but it was constant for two days.’

The Himalayan Cataract Project provides eye care and surgery to people in developing countries and the star previously revealed he picked the charity because ‘sight is the most important sense a person has, so if you can help someone fix their sight, it’s going a long way.’
He joked: ‘I would do it for people who got popped in the eye with a cork, but that charity doesn’t exist.’
This Morning airs on weekday mornings on ITV at 10.30am.
Love Island has changed Liam Gallagher (Picture: Rex/ITV)
Liam Gallagher has claimed if it wasn’t for Love Island he’d still be the country’s leading party animal and gobbling up ‘s**t drugs’.
Every summer the 42-year-old ditches the late nights out in town to catch Amy Hart teaching lessons in heartbreak and Maura Higgins’ fanny fluttering instead, thanks to his fiancé’s addiction to the ITV2 series.
The former Oasis frontman – who hinted he was up for a Peaky Blinders cameo this week – proposed to Debbie Gwyther earlier this month, and credits the 38-year-old for helping him calm down.
‘I’m glad she’s not like, “Can we go to this bar and meet Matthew f***ing Dahonnacay?” or whatever his name is?’ Liam told Mr Porter Journal.
‘She’s like, “Let’s just stay in, watch Love Island and chill out.” She’s never gonna be like, “Matthew Cahoocanny is in town — let’s go and stalk him with a selfie,” unlike some people’s f***ing wives.’

After Ovie saved girlfriend India Reynolds from Jordan Hames, Liam tweeted: ‘Ovie Ovie Ovie Oi Oi Oi LG x.’
Naturally, Liam’s fandom immediately called for the LG to ‘get in the villa’ following the cameo from Craig David. Although, good luck getting him out of his signature parka.
Love Island returns to ITV2 in January 2020.

But 49-year-old Richard Hammond is having a midlife crisis.
Literally.
And there’s video evidence to prove it. In fact, the Top Gear star goes into great detail describing his journey through middle age in the new clip.
Showing off his latest ‘treat to self’ – an absolutely massive pick-up truck – the dutiful dad proceeds to drive his teenage daughters to the shops while getting completely ignored.
Erm, awkward.

‘I’m 50 this year,’ the fresh-faced star tells fans in the video. ‘There you go I said. And yes, I’m having a midlife crisis.’
He then added: ‘But I’m not ashamed of that. In fact, I’m celebrating it. I’ve already covered off the usual clichés: fast cars, fast bikes, that sort of stuff.
‘In fact, there was only one thing left, one giant treat to self, to mark the passing of a middle-age milestone. It’s this: my midlife crisis pick-up truck.’
He goes on to profess the ‘kindness to the environment’ of his wheels, adding ‘and we all know how much teenagers care about the environment. Don’t you girls?’
At which point, yet another metaphorical tumbleweed blows by. Ouch.
Well, it’s official, RH’s daughters are officially the new Kevin the Teenager. We stan. Although Richard gets his revenge later in the clip with some off-road exploring…

MerseyGirls dancer Julia Carlile has opened up on her emotional reunion with Simon Cowell, who paid for her extensive back surgery after her appearance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2017.
‘I’ve seen Simon a few times but he hasn’t actually seen me dance since surgery,’ said Julia.
‘So that was the first time and it was so emotional. I nearly couldn’t do the dance without crying so it was good to see him again, I wanted to show him what he had done and the dance was a thank you to Simon pretty much.’
Julia added: ‘I am doing so well, to think two years ago I was in a hospital bed and now I am here with my best friends is crazy but I feel so much better.’
Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell paid £175,000 for the dancer’s back surgery in 2017; Julia had revealed on stage that she was stricken with scoliosis and desperately needed money for surgery, as NHS procedures for the condition meant running the risk of never dancing again.
Two years after her life-changing operation, Julia made a triumphant return to the stage for the second semi-final of The Champions spin-off – and left Simon in tears.

She and the rest of the MerseyGirls compete against Scottish crooner (and former winner) Jai McDowall and the 100 Voices of Gospel choir, but in an emotional moment, on Saturday viewers will see Simon and Julia tearfully reunited, with both giving heartfelt dedications to one another.
Amanda pushed her co-star to say some words before he choked up: ‘All I want to talk about is one person’s strength and, beyond that, the friendship and support you all have, which we saw the first time we met you.’

A grateful Julia added: ‘I couldn’t walk two years ago and now I am here. Simon, thank you so much. I don’t think I have ever been so happy as I am right now.’
Alesha Dixon gave MerseyGirls her Golden Buzzer back in 2017 as she was just as moved by their epic performance.
The second semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Saturday 7 September on ITV AT 8.30PM.
Is this the lucky cat that will be Mr Grumbles? (Picture: Penpip)
One lucky cat is about to have the best Christmas ever as Asda is auditioning for a feline friend to be the star of this year’s anticipated TV advert.
Yep, Christmas is only 110 days away so of course Christmas advert prep is underway.
The advert for the national supermarket will feature one extra special titular character – Mr Grumbles.
The role will, if past Christmas seasons are any indication, see the lucky cat became a national treasure with cuddly toys and merchandise covered in their furry little face on sale.

Auditions began in Harrogate, Yorkshire on Thursday, with cat owners from across the country queuing up to show off their cute kitties.
Cats on leads and cats in crates were pictured with their owners, and others showed off their game faces as they prepared for their big moments in front of producers.

The aptly titled Bring Christmas Home was as festive as tucking into Christmas dinner while a family row over Trivial Pursuit drowned out the obligatory 25 December screening of Elf.
As Santa launched a flaming Christmas pudding in the air, an avalanche of St. Nicholas’ on motorbikes, dancing skiers and stunt-driving yetis plummeted down a snowy mountain, to the Xmas bop Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).
‘We really wanted to hone in on a universal feeling about Christmas that people could relate to,’ enthused Asda’s Chief Customer Officer Andy Murray at the time.
‘The one thing we all kept coming back to was the sense of excitement that comes from preparing to bring your nearest and dearest together, how crazy and chaotic it can feel, but ultimately how all the effort results in something wonderful when you bring Christmas home.’
Stacey Solomon returned to Loose Women for the show’s 20th anniversary today and brought along her newborn baby, Rex.
The entire cast of Loose Women came together on the show for the first time in a very special edition, with Nadia Sawalha taking the lead – just like she did on the very first programme 20 years ago.
Stacey and her partner Joe Swash welcomed baby Rex, her third child, back in May 2019 and has been absent from the Loose Women panel since.
To say we all missed her is the biggest understatement, but there was no way she was missing the show’s 20th birthday.
Stacey joked she’s been suffering from serious ‘FOMO’, missing her own baby shower when Rex came out early, and admitted the past few months have been like raising her first child all over again.
‘I feel like I went back to zero like I’ve never done it before,’ she explained. ‘I remember bringing him home and thinking, “How am I going to keep him alive?”
‘Poor Joe, bless him, he’s had the wrath of me. It’s been really intense. He’s such a brilliant dad, you are such a lucky little man.’

‘And so it begins… A whole new world. The beginning of adolescence. Will the gut-wrench ever ease?’ she began in the caption. ‘Zachary what can I say… (I promised I wouldn’t be too gushy in case your friends see this)’.
Earlier this week the Loose Women ladies paid tribute to late panelist Lynda Bellingham, which brought all of us to tears.
Metro.co.uk went behind-the-scenes of Loose Women this week to celebrate 20 years of lunchtime laughter and found 20 secrets that will blow your mind.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Kelly Clarkson – singer, actress and mother – can now add talk show host to her impressive resume as she launches her own series in the US next week, and the promo alone proves our lives would suck without The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The 37-year-old is notoriously one of the most lovable pop icons going, with the pipes to match, and, naturally, it was only a matter of time before it became mandatory to get our daily fix of the American Idol winner.
Well, 17 years after the confetti cannon blew down on the original Miss Independent, The Kelly Clarkson Show has finally been welcomed into the world.
To celebrate Kelly’s covered Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, and nails it, obviously, while also proving she can wait tables and fight crime in the process.
The Kelly Clarkson Show has already been already hit with drama as Kevin Hart was replaced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to become the singer’s first-ever guest. Needless to say, she’s gong big with the most bankable Hollywood star on the planet.

In a teaser from their interview, Kelly told the audience that Kevin was meant to join her on the sofa, but was missing.
‘Because Kevin couldn’t be here, one of his good friends stepped the heck up and I love him,’ the Walk Away hitmaker revealed.
She joked: ‘Because I got real nervous for my first show. I was like, “I’m so sorry you’re sick, ummm…”’
Kelly then revealed it was The Rock, adding that he’d flown home early from his honeymoon for the guest appearance.
‘His wife probably hates me,’ she quipped.
The Kelly Clarkson Show launches on Monday September 9 on NBC.

What’s more, the Game of Thrones prequel will reportedly bring the franchise home to Northern Ireland, as filming is already underway in the county.
The prequel began filming within weeks of the GoT conclusion. But it’s thought we might not see it on screens until 2021.
