James May has promised the next special of The Grand Tour is ‘fantastic’ after suggesting he may be quitting the Amazon Prime Video series. However, we’ve got quite a wait until we get to see the boys on their next adventure in Madagascar.
The 56-year-old launches his first solo Amazon Prime Video series today, Our Man In Japan, and swung by BBC Radio 2 with an update on The Grand Tour, which, while it sounds promising, could also be months away.
‘Well it’s still in the edit,’ the petrol head told host Nicki Chapman. ‘But I think it is [great] because as an adventure it was fantastic.
‘Madagascar is a truly beautiful place. It’s wonderful, I don’t know why it isn’t full of artists – it’s just beautiful water, the skies, the breeze, the clouds – it’s ludicrously pretty.’
The Grand Tour trio got stranded in Madagascar – but had the time of their lives (Picture: Instagram)
No wonder then May recently suggested he could pack The Grand Tour in altogether.
‘I’m in the second half of my fifties now and in all honesty, I’m slightly falling apart,’ he told The Sun.
‘I’m developing nervous disorders and aches and I don’t think I’ll do this much longer because I don’t want to fall apart in public.
‘It would just be a bit undignified and I don’t think people want to see it.’
However, before we catch up with May, Hammond, and Clarkson at the African island – where they got marooned from their entire crew – Captain Slow has been on his expedition in Japan, where he was pelted by snowballs, almost killed by huskies, petrified by a giant robot and injured by a gigantic penis.
James May… Our Man In Japan is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video now.

A fan thinks they’ve solved a massive problem with The Battle of Winterfell (Picture: HBO)
A Game of Thrones fan has managed to solve a massive plot hole in one of season eight’s most memorable episodes.
The third episode of the HBO epic’s final season, The Long Night saw our heroes fight the Battle of Winterfell in a final showdown against the forces of the evil Night King.
Like most of the last run of episodes, the instalment was divisive amongst fans, mainly to do with the fact Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) battle plans left a lot to be desired. Why use a cavalry charge against an army of the undead? Why didn’t everyone just stay inside the massive castle and use that as a strategic defence instead?
Now, Reddit user Thibinus thinks they’ve solved this plot hole, saying: ‘It’s true that hiding in the castle and defend it would be a very smart thing to do against a regular army who has the advantage of numbers.
‘But the Night King had a dragon, and dragon fire can literally explode stone walls. In other words, if they would have [stayed] inside Winterfell, the Night King would have breached the walls very easily and they would have been trapped and overwhelmed in a matter of minutes.’
Instead, Thibinus argued that the tactics used in the episode actually succeeded in driving the Night King and his forces away from the castle walls, giving Dany and Jon more time to find the Night King.
Other users chimed in on the solution, one saying: ‘I also think that they lacked knowledge of how to fight the undead. Their strategy may have worked against the living (think Battle of the Bastards).’
The Battle of Winterfell saw Jon and Dany’s forces fight the Night King’s undead army (Picture: HBO)
Another added: ‘The only justification they have for this debacle is that they need to draw the Night King in to kill him.’
We’d call it a victory anyway, plothole or no plothole.
Ever since the high-fantasy epic aired its last episode in 2019, fans have been picking over every minute of air-time, looking for clues to answer any questions they may still have.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 is available to stream via NOW TV.

Kate Garraway had to give Ben Shephard a bit of a telling off on Good Morning Britain on Friday, after her co-host made a pretty NSFW joke about her pubic hair.
The pair had been discussing Januhairy – when people decide not to shave anything on their body for the whole month of January when Ben made the inappropriate joke.
Kate explained what Januhairy is, telling viewers: ‘Dry January, Ben and I are both doing. And then there’s something called Januhairy, which means for the whole month of January you don’t shave anything, you don’t cut anything, don’t trim anything. Just let it all go au naturale.’
Kate had donned a fake ginger beard and moustache on the segment, before taking it off to sample some meat free pasties which have launched for Veganuary (anyone that’s trying out being a vegan for the month).
She asked Ben to have a bite of her pasty, to which Ben quipped: ‘If I’m going to have to share your pubic hair I might as well share your steak bake!’
Kate was suitably shocked by the comment, replying ‘Stop it, no one said that! You just went that little bit too far.’
While she took the joke pretty well, Kate had earlier admitted that she would be taking part in Januhairy – hilariously mistaking the name for Hairanuary.
She told Ben: ‘Why let people define you? That’s why I’m doing it. I just thought Hairanuary, that’s a fun sounding word, I’ll give it a go. That was basically my thinking.’
Ben replied: ‘Isn’t it Januhairy, not Hairanuary? I think it’s important to start with the right name!’, as the pair collapsed into giggles.

Myles, who previously admitted to having a huge crush on Kate in the jungle, stumbled over his words as he avoided giving an answer.
Good Morning Britain is on ITV weekdays from 6am.

Simon Cowell doesn’t own a mobile phone in 2020, and we have so many questions.
Despite being one of the biggest music moguls around – and being head judge on nearly every TV talent show going – the 60-year-old has ditched the tech for a simpler way of doing things.
However, the 41-year-old revealed that her boss wasn’t the one who made the call and invited her to take part – because he doesn’t have a phone.
Alesha Dixon and Terri Seymour joked about Simon Cowell not having a phone (Picture: ITV)
Alesha admitted the music mogul didn’t call her personally (Picture: ITV)
‘Well I didn’t exactly get the call from Simon…,’ she laughed. ‘Well he doesn’t own a mobile phone anymore, does he Terri?’
‘He’s always got somebody else’s to use,’ Terri replied.
Explaining further, Alesha said: ‘He borrowed someone else’s phone to make the call. No he didn’t.
‘It wasn’t actually Simon that called me, but I’m sure they would have run it by him and thankfully he didn’t reject the idea.
‘He’s been super supportive and it’s been great fun doing the show out here with him.’
Alesha has joined the America’s Got Talent judging panel (Picture: Splash)
And she also lifted the lid on her fellow Britain’s Got Talent judges, Amanda Holden and David Walliams, reacted to her new job.
When asked if they were jealous, she insisted this absolutely wasn’t the case.
‘I heard from both of them,’ she added. ‘Firstly Amanda sent me a message saying she was super proud of me. David sent me a message asking if Simon was missing him.
‘I asked Simon if he was missing him, and he said no… Sorry, David.
‘He’s never going to say, “Yes, I miss him”. Even if he was missing him. He would never admit it.’
Poor Simon has been missing out on all the memes (Picture: FilmMagic)
Poor David.
Simon revealed he ditched his mobile phone way back in 2017, in a bid to improve his quality of life.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday in 2018, he confessed: ‘I literally have not been on my phone for 10 months.
‘The difference it made was that I became more aware of the people around me and way more focused.
‘The thing I get irritated with is when you have a meeting everyone’s on their phone – and I was probably in that place too. You can’t concentrate.
‘It has been so good for my mental health. It’s a very strange experience but it really is good for you and it has absolutely made me happier.’
Lorraine continues on weekday mornings, at 9am, on ITV.

Are Count Dracula and Vlad the Impaler the same person? (Picture: BBC)
The BBC’s blood-soaked re-invention of Dracula comes to an end tonight after three-nights of decapitated nuns, surprise reveals and a lot of blood.
As played by Danish actor Claes Bang, the titular vampire is a charismatic force of nature; the latest in a long-line of Count’s stretching back all the way to Bram Stoker’s original novel in 1897.
The new adaption comes from the mind of Sherlock scribes Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss – and although the origins of Dracula as a literary character are well-known, the Prince of Darkness also has a real-life counterpart.
Well, he wasn’t a vampire…but he definitely existed.
Who was Vlad the Impaler?
Gary Oldman’s 1992 adaption of Dracula saw him play Vlad the Impaler (Picture: Columbia)
Irish author Bram Stoker ‘borrowed’ shall we say the name of Dracula from a figure in medieval history – Vlad III Dracula, or Vlad the Impaler as he is more commonly known.
Vlad was a ruler in medieval Romania. His exact date of birth and death are both known, but he was born around 1428 and died around 1477 at the latest.
The name ‘Dracula’ is significant as this wasn’t actually Vlad’s real name, he added the moniker to his title as his father, Vlad II, was called Vlad Dracul or Vlad the Dragon. You see the connection.
In Romania, the dragon is often associated with the Dragon, so Vlad became known as ‘Son of the Devil.’ This bodes well!
While he wasn’t a vampire per se, the legacy of Vlad the Impaler is drenched in blood. It’s said that he was a sadistic ruler, who dealt out all manner of gruesome punishments to his enemies. When invading Transylvania between 1456-1460, he was quite taken with the idea of impaling the heads of his enemies on spikes.
How did he inspire Count Dracula?
Christopher Lee also played the iconic literary vampire (Picture: Hammer)
The biggest source of inspiration for Stoker’s legendary vampire was, of course, the name itself.
In her book Dracula: Sense and Nonsense, author Elizabeth Miller notes that the horror writer composed in a note when writing his masterpiece: ‘in Wallachian language [the name Dracula] means DEVIL.’
And if you’re looking for a name for evil incarnate – that should do the trick!

Ruth Langsford had to intervene in a debate over Veganuary on This Morning as viewers slammed a ‘rude’ guest for shouting.
Guests Joey Armstrong and Rachel Carrie were appearing on the programme to discuss ‘Veganuary’ – where people aim to go animal-product free for the entire month of January.
But it became clear pretty early on that Joey – who described himself as a vegan activist – was so passionate about veganism, he wasn’t going to listen to anyone’s opinion but his own.
After a very shouty back-and-forth, it took Loose Women anchor Ruth to cool the debate down.
‘Joey, you seem very angry about this,’ she intervened. ‘It almost seems like you can’t listen to the opposing view.’
And viewers were definitely backing Ruth up, as they hit social media in their droves to blast the Joey.
‘This guy on Veganuary is driving me mad!’ one viewer fumed. ‘Let that lady speak for goodness sake, he is being so rude to her!’
@thismorning this guy on #Veganuary2020 is driving me mad! Let that lady speak for goodness sake he is being so rude to her!!
Another added: ‘How annoying is that man, the woman is speaking fairly and he’s not listening to her and butting in.’
One other viewer also slammed Joey, and insisted that This Morning have a ‘fair debate please.’
After the heated segment, co-host Eamonn Holmes actually stuck up for Joey, pleading: ‘I thought he was making a very good point that we have to re-affirm our connection between what we eat and how it is farmed.’
This Morning returns 6 January at the new time of 10am on ITV.

Holly and Phillip are returning to present (Picture: ITV/Matt Frost/REX)
It’s almost time for the celebs to get their skates on as Dancing on Ice 2020 is due to kick off soon.
This year, 12 celebrities are again taking to the ice to see if they have what it takes to impress the judges and take home a shiny trophy at the end of all.
As the countdown to the start of the season keeps ticking away, here’s what you need to know about where and when you can tune in to the latest series of Dancing on Ice…
When does Dancing on Ice start?
Dancing on Ice 2020 is set to kick off on Sunday, January 5.
The first episode will be broadcast on ITV from 6pm until 8pm.
This year, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are coming back to present, and Olympic gold medal-winning skaters Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill will be returning to the judging panel along with dancer Ashley Banjo.
Jason Gardiner will not be returning however, with Dancing On Ice series one contestant, Doctor Who alum and all-round gem John Barrowman replacing him.
This series will also feature the show’s first-ever same-sex couple in the form of Ian ‘H’ Watkins of Steps and skater Matt Evers.
The show, simply titled RuPaul, appeared on seven Fox stations over the summer.
During its brief run, the RuPaul’s Drag Race icon invited guests such as Ricki Lake, Adam Lambert and Iggy Azalea onto his sofa. However, the show will not see a full series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It was produced by World of Wonder, also responsible for RPDR, and Warner Media’s Telepictures.
Frankly, we’re amazed showbiz veteran Ru found the time to fit in the creation of a talk show in the first place.
As well as RuPaul’s Drag Race and its spin-off RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, the drag queen extraordinaire brought his unique brand of entertainment TV to the UK last year with the first RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
They all have new seasons in the pipeline, and although transmission dates have yet to be announced, fans are expecting all three in 2020.
Ru’s in a scene from upcoming TV show AJ and the Queen (Picture: Netflix)
The comedy focuses on traveling drag queen Ruby, as she performs her way across America with an unlikely companion: 11-year-old orphan AJ.
Speaking about his performance in the show to Vogue last year, Ru said: ‘In my career, I’ve been able to show certain angles. I’ve been able to paint on a face and edit what I presented. I thought by doing this acting project, I would be exposing myself to the world: the raw, unfiltered self.
‘But what I found out yesterday was that I was exposing myself to myself. I got to see the parts of me that even I didn’t allow myself to recognize or acknowledge. I had thought, I’m going to be naked to the world. No, I was naked to myself.’
We can’t wait to see it!

The first series, which premiered early in 2019, broke ratings records as it delved behind the scenes of the many headlines about R Kelly’s relationships and the sex abuse charges he has faced.
Despite the huge success of the first series, Brie revealed they were at first reluctant to start working on a second series in case it jeopardised what they had already achieved.
She explained to the Hollywood Reporter: ‘We were all pretty nervous about what had just occurred and how much impact the doc had had, and the conversation around it. We didn’t want to jeopardize it.
‘There was a lot more that we knew at that point, and then more started coming out after the docuseries released, but we were really not sure if we could do the same thing that we did for part one for a part two.’
The producers felt they owed it to the victims to follow up the story, as well as to focus on the trauma and backlash they experienced after the first episodes aired.
For part one, they had over 50 accusers and participants who wanted to be involved in the documentary, which rose to over 70 for part two, with seven survivors speaking out in the first, and 10 in the second.
More victims have chosen to speak on camera (Picture: Lifetime)
Brie revealed what it was that change their minds, explaining: ‘At some point, a reporter shared a conversation that they had had with authorities where clear evidence of tapes and pictures of sexual abuse of minors had been obtained and those charges were dropped, and the reporter wanted to know why.
‘And the answer the reporter got from those authorities was, “They’re not our girls.” And I think once we heard that story, we knew that we had to do a part two.
‘Just for humanity’s sake. For believability. For the survivors who had been questioned after the doc about the validity of their stories. And for the parents who had also been called to the table. So that’s how part two came around; about four months after.’
Metro.co.uk has reached out to reps for comment.
Surviving R. Kelly Part 2: The Reckoning began in the USA on 2 January, with the UK release date to be confirmed.

Iain Stirling managed to escape being asked about his Love Island co-star Caroline Flack during Loose Women today after her arrest for assault by battery.
The host will be replaced by Iain’s girlfriend Laura Whitmore when the ITV2 series returns later this month, and the voiceover joked her addition will come in handy for the mortgage.
‘She’s great, isn’t she?’ Iain enthused to the Loose Women panel –consisting of Stacey Solomon, Andrea McLean, Denise Welch and newcomer Judi Love.

‘I think she’s great. I love her and there are mortgage commitments that need to be considered.’
The sixth series of Love Island marks a sad and unexpected turn for the popular reality show after Caroline was charged with assault, subsequently pulling out of the next run.

Announcing her decision to step down, Caroline said in a statement: ‘There have been a significant number of media reports and allegations in regard to my personal life.
‘While matters were not as have been reported I am committed to cooperating with the appropriate authorities and I can’t comment further on these matters until the legal process is over.
‘However Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it’s the best show on telly. In order not to detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is stand down from Series 6.
‘I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town.’
Caroline and Lewis were both been banned from communicating with each other at all costs before she jet off to Los Angeles to escape and ‘clear her head’. However, Lewis publically pledged his support to the presenter on social media.
Loose Women continues tomorrow at 12.30pm on ITV. Love Island returns to ITV2 on January 12.

Jeremy Paxman surprised viewers last night by magically changing into a pantomime dame on the BBC TV show University Challenge, with absolutely no warning.
What a way to end panto season.
The longtime host of the academic quiz show transformed into the character after asking a question about respected stage actor Sir Ian McKellen.
‘In the Old Vic’s pantomime production in 2004, Sir Ian McKellen made a notable appearance as which character in Aladdin?’ he asked.
Upon answering Widow Twankey, Jeremy told a contestant: ‘Oh yes it was, it was Widow Twankey!’ – and was suddenly seen in make-up, a wig and a selection of bows.
It’s not exactly a RuPaul’s Drag Race standard of look, is it…
Jeremy looked lovely (Picture: BBC)
‘Genuinely thought I was hallucinating,’ said one viewer, commenting on JP’s new look, which only lasted a couple of seconds, before he was back in his trusty collar and tie.
The reactions just got funnier from there.
Spent the rest of the programme waiting for the next one, eg Paxman dressed as a quadratic equation, etc
Jeremy Paxman has been a familiar face on TV since the 80s. (Picture: Getty Images)
That said, the consummate professional kept a completely straight face throughout, as he was merely providing the answer to the following question: ‘Distinct from fracture or parting, what term denotes the tendency of minerals such a diamonds and slate to split along plainer surfaces?’
No, we’d never have gotten it right either, not in a million years.
The 69-year-old has been hosting University Challenge since its revival in 1994. It originally aired from 1962 to 1987.
The TV veteran has also served as a presenter on the BBC’s Newsnight programme.

Love Island’s Michael Griffiths and Joanna Chimonides were finally able to get everything off their chest in this weekend’s Eating With My Ex after he pied her off in one of the biggest shockers of the series to date.
Michael Griffiths reconciled with his Love Island ex on Eating With My Ex (Picture: BBC)
During Joanna and Michael’s dinner date, sparks were flying – still – but did they amount to anything?
‘We had a bit of a sour departure [on Love Island] shall we say so it was more to clear the air and see chat about what was going on – could we rekindle things and could we be friends?’ Michael explained to Metro.co.uk.
Joanna agreed: ‘It was quite nice to put a bit of pressure on him, obviously because the cameras were there, but also it was nice just to lay the cards out on the table and talk about why we reacted in a certain way. It was quite a needed thing.’
In the episode, Radio presenter Joanna reveals she’s sure they’d still be together if Michael had left Love Island with her. However, in hindsight, they both admit there were never going to be wedding bells.
Joanna Chimonides wanted to put the pressure on during Eating With my Ex (Picture: BBC)
‘I think up to that point, if I’d have left we’d be in relationship and it would just be fine but it was at that point when I didn’t leave it was clear that maybe we’re not supposed to be in a relationship, we’re supposed to just be friends,’ Michael stressed.
‘I’m still glad that I stayed because the outcome would probably still be the same – we’d be in a relationship and break up in a year’s time because we’re obviously not meant to be together.’
Joanna was on the same page. ‘I think if we did leave together we would have tried to make it work but I realised being single at this point in our career is vital because of the amount of attention you’re getting and the amount of parties you’re going to,’ she told us. ‘We’re both so young you’ve got to be single at this point.’
So what happened next?
How did it all end? (Picture: BBC)
‘After the show we made it clear we just wanted to be friends,’ Michael spilled. ‘We went out a few times in groups, but nothing happened.’
‘Deep down I knew how it was going to end,’ Joanna admitted. ‘I knew I was going to make that decision but there was a part of me which thought I might still want to be with him; it could go either way.
‘When I first saw him, I’m not a nervous person, but I got all giddy – I kept laughing. I didn’t know how to react! Me and him can never be serious with each other.’
Eating With My Ex will be available on BBC iPlayer from Sunday 5th January and launches on BBC One on Wednesday 8th January at 10.35pm.

But unlike Thrones, the series follows a semi-non-linear pattern as it tracks the stories of its three main characters; Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan).
What isn’t made clear to viewers is that, essentially, all three of these storylines all take place in a different period of time until they all more or less merge at the end of the first season.
If you’re like us, you probably didn’t even realise this was happening until mid-way through the eight episodes, where characters who you saw die in one timeline reappear alive and well in another.
If you’re still confused about all this, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.
When do The Witcher’s timelines take place?
It’s easier to map the timelines featured in the show out in order of chronology to make it easier to understand.
So, in the timeline of the show – from past to future – they go:
Yennefer’s Origins – Past
Geralt’s adventures – Present
Princess Ciri’s escape – Future, if only slightly so.
Yennefer’s Origins
Yennefer’s story takes place in the series’ past (Picture: Netflix)
Introduced in the second episode of the series, Yennefer transforms (quite literally) from a hunchbacked outcast into a beautiful and powerful sorceress of the highest degree.
It’s during Yennefer’s trials and tribulations when she’s educated by Tissaia de Vries (MyAnna Buring) that we realise we’re actually following Yennefer’s adventures in the past, as Stegobor (Lars Mikkelsen) is not yet exiled and King Foltest (Shaun Dooley) is just a child.
Since Yennefer is a witch, however, she’s blessed with immortality, which means that her story can jump decades at a time. Which brings us nicely to…
Geralt’s Adventures
Geralt’s main story can be considered to be the show’s present (Picture: Netflix)
Geralt’s day-to-day job of hunting down monsters form the core timeline of the series, one that we can call its ‘present.’
As we said earlier, though, Geralt and Yennefer’s timelines soon meet up, since Yennefer is practically ageless.
In the present, the titular monster hunter has many run-ins with the fearsome Queen Calanthe (Jodhi May), the grandmother of Princess Ciri, who we see meet her untimely doom in the first episode’s opening scenes.
Much like Yennefer, Geralt is practically ageless too, so his present spans a good few decades, when he finally catches up to…
Princess Ciri’s Escape
Everyone is trying to catch up to Ciri (Picture: Netflix)
Ciri is the MacGuffin of The Witcher – everyone wants her, or wants to know where she is, without really knowing why.
For Geralt, helping cure Ciri’s father of her curse allowed him to claim protection over the as-yet-unborn princess thanks to the Law of Surprise.
Ciri is also the first character we meet in the show, which can help explain why the timelines are so confusing from the off. Ciri’s opening episode sees her kingdom and family wiped out as she goes on the run, pursued by spies of the Nilfgaard empire.
As the series goes on, Yennefer and Geralt meet and fall in love and towards the end of the run, Geralt is finally tasked with helping to save the magical royal from evil forces.
What does all this mean for season two?
The endgame of The Witcher’s first season finally made its present catch up with its future – which means no more timelines! (For now at least.)
In the closing moments of the finale, Geralt finally meets Ciri, fulfilling his promise to her grandmother to protect her.
The only problem is, however, that Yennefer is nowhere to be found, disappearing after conjuring a massive amount of magic in order to protect Ciri.
Luckily, a second run was confirmed before the first had even aired – so there’s definitely more to come.
The Witcher season 1 is available to stream now on Netflix.

A lot has changed since Chris Jericho last appeared in WWE (Credit: WWE)
Chris Jericho is currently tearing it up in All Elite Wrestling, but so-called Le Champion says he could return to WWE whenever he wants.
Fans shouldn’t get too excited about a comeback for the first ever undisputed champ though, as it doesn’t seem to be on the cards as he leads the way for WWE’s nearest competition.
However, rumours and speculation will never stop, and Jericho himself has admitted while he achieved everything he could on Raw and SmackDown, his focus is now on raising AEW up and giving fans ‘an alternative’.
He told The Aquarian: ‘I did all I could do in WWE. Now I like being part of a company that I’m bringing up from scratch. That appeals to me.
‘I could go back to WWE tomorrow and I know exactly where I’d stand. I prefer being here. There’s no limits. It’s uncharted waters.
‘We don’t even know what’s going to happen from day to day at AEW. Also I think the fans like an alternative. Wednesday nights on TV rock now.’
For viewers around the world, the so-called Wednesday Night War pits AEW against WWE’s black and gold NXT brand each week, with everyone spoiled for choice – and the wonders of modern technology meaning you can just tune into both.
UK fans can take their pick each week, with NXT now airing on BT Sport while AEW’s weekly Dynamite show is broadcast on ITV4.
The latter has Jericho at the forefront as their first ever world champion, but he played down the suggestion he would only have signed his contract if he was promised the honour.
‘It doesn’t work that way. I would never say that,’ he added. ‘The belt is just a prop anyway. The important thing is how you conduct yourself, how you work in the ring, and how you connect with the audience. That’s much more important than having a title.’

Dr Pimple Popper has worked miracles in the past, but she definitely has her work cut out for her this time.
In an upcoming episode of the TLC series, Ravon popped into Sandra Lee’s office to show off a ‘third testicle’ that had grown between his legs, begging for her help.
The 26-year-old revealed the lump appeared a year before, popping up close to his genitals.
At first, he assumed it was an ingrown hair, but was shocked as it grew to the size of a tennis ball.
‘It’s like a third testicle, and it’s just there hanging,’ the Sun states he said, when he eventually approached the doctor for help.
‘You’ve already got your genitals there, just imagine another large mass hanging off you. That’s just nasty.’

Despite seeing her fair share of shockers, Dr Pimple Popper was left baffled by the sight, asking: ‘Oh my god… are you sure that’s not really part of your body?
‘It’s quickly growing, it’s been there only a year or so? Only a year? Can I touch it?’
‘As I held it in my hands, it weighed about three or four pounds, but now that little small lump feels like thousands of pounds have been lifted off me,’ he told the camera.
‘It’s a relief. I can’t wait to show my girl. I know she’s going to be super happy that it’s gone and we can live our life how we want to now.
‘Walking and running – all the activities I couldn’t do before – it’s going to be great.’
Forget walking and running, we might need another lie down after this one…
Dr Pimple Popper airs on TLC on 9 January, at 10pm.

Booker T could return to the ring in 2020 and reunite Harlem Heat alongside his brother Stevie Ray.
The two real life siblings – who captured the WCW tag team championships 10 times during their illustrious run together and got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year – are seriously contemplating a comeback to face The Revival after a recent exchange on the TLC Kickoff show.
A potential match would be something of a dream for fans around the world, with Harlem Heat regarded as one of the greatest tandems of all time, while Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have become one of the best teams around today after a string of incredible performances in recent years.

Quizzed on the possibility by Renee Young on this week’s Backstage, Booker teased: ‘You know what? Me and my big brother, we talking about it.
‘We’re going to be discussing that over the new year. I’ve got one left in me! [Scott] Dawson! [Dash] Wilder! Don’t get jacked up sucka!’
Could Booker manage the Street Profits? (Credit: WWE)
Although a match between two of the greatest teams of their respective generations is a mouth watering prospect for fans, Booker’s last official bout was on Raw seven years ago, while Stevie Ray has been semi-retired for a long time now – although the brothers did reunite for one final match under the banner of Booker’s own Reality of Wrestling promotion in February 2015.
If they decided to keep their boots hung up, Booker would still love to get involved in the current scene by managing rising stars The Street Profits.
He said: ‘Since I am a tag team extraordinaire, a tag team specialist, 14 tag team championships throughout my reign in this business, so I’m looking forward to the tag team division getting crunk in 2020, and I might even manage The Street Profits somewhere along the year. I’m trying to get in the game!’
The latest series of Cold Feet is coming later this month (Picture: ITV)
Cold Feet could be about to air its final series, according to long-time cast member Robert Bathurst.
The actor, who plays David Marsden in the hit TV series, made a prediction back in 2016 that if the show were to be renewed it would either be a failure after the first season or the reboot would last four seasons.
And he reaffirmed this ahead of the upcoming new episodes.
‘If we are pulled, which I think we might well be, I always said we’d either do one series and it’d be a failure or we do four in the reboot,’ he said. ‘That was my instinct.
‘It’s not my decision, but if we are finishing I hope we’ve given ITV a very difficult decision to make.
‘It could well be the end, but you don’t know.’
Bathurst also stressed the importance that the show is still ‘about people’, and hadn’t exhausted all-important storylines.

‘If it’s still about people, that’s life and it’s open-ended,’ he added to The Sun. ‘So long as it isn’t: “We’ve done all the big issues of the day, we’ve run out of those” – if that’s the emphasis of it then, yeah, finish it.’
Cold Feet’s eighth series saw shock for Jenny (Fay Ripley) who was diagnosed with breast cancer. This news affected the rest of the gang’s lives, as they worked out what they could do to help their friend.
For James Nesbitt, the future of the show is all about how the audience reacts to the latest episodes.
‘There’s chat about a few things going on. It’s not just down to the writer, Mike Bullen,’ he previously told the publication. ‘Nowadays, it’s a lot to do with the people who watch it. But if there’s an appetite for it, then there’s an appetite for us to do it.’
Series 9 of Cold Feet airs on Monday 13 January at 9pm.

The Apprentice’s Lottie Lion has hit back at a ‘racist’ tweet amid her online row with former candidate Dean Ahmad.
The 20-year-old retweeted a controversial post from an account called AB which stated ‘No white woman 2020’ to which Lottie responded: ‘Denying that race matters is irrational in the face of segregation & all forms of obvious racial inequity in society.
‘A white man, commenting “No more black women 2020” would be hung in the media. In order to move forward, all races must work TOGETHER for a better, equal society.’
She later went on to post: ‘I liken this to the current issue with “feminism”-equality is imperative, but the mere word & movement stand for female superiority, due to poor treatment in the past. In this country, we have achieved equality & so must move forward, both genders, creating a better future society.’
Lottie received a lot of backlash during her time on The Apprentice and even admitted she ‘wasn’t there to make friends’.

She also found herself embroiled in a racism row and was investigated by the BBC following complaints after she told rival Lubna Farhan – whose parents hail from Pakistan – to ‘shut up Gandhi’ and threatened to ‘f***ing knock her out’ in a string of messages shared on the 2019 cast’s group chat.
The news follows after the librarian accused fellow fired candidate Dean of being two-faced.
Lottie was also accused of photoshopping this image with Dean (Picture: Instagram)
Taking to Twitter Lottie posted a series of screenshots that appear to show a conversation between herself and Dean.
She captioned the post: ‘ Didn’t have a problem with this “Racist” a few months ago, did you @DeanAhmad_?
‘It infuriates me when people are pleasant to your face (as he doesn’t have a genuine problem with me) yet feeds the mainstream-media view of false stories & allegations. For what? Probably attention.’

In one of the screenshots, Dean appears to be responding to another person on social media who said: ‘the fact you didn’t tag Lottie’.
To which he responded: ‘I don’t tag racists’.
The other photos show a normal conversation between the pair on social media.
The Apprentice is available for catch-up on BBC iPlayer.

Miranda’s praise for Gavin and Stacey has prompted fans to request her own 2020 Christmas special (Picture: BBC)
Like many TV fans across the UK, comedy star Miranda Hart has expressed her praise and gratitude for the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special.
In a thankful tweet, she said: ‘This is so good. The world is suffering in so many ways.
‘Comedy and the arts are ever more important to help provide moments of respite and escapism. Everything that lifts helps.’
She then went on to tag James Corden and Ruth Jones, who have written every episode of the TV show since it started in 2007.

Fans were in strong agreement with the star, with some calling for her to host her own Christmas special this year.
‘Miranda Christmas Special 2020 please. You know it makes sense,’ one tweeted, while another referred to her supportive tweet as ‘icons supporting icons’.
And it’s not just Miranda who is feeling the love for the return of Gavin and Stacey. The Christmas Special was recently crowned the most popular scripted programme of the last decade.

The hit comedy, which made a triumphant comeback nine years after it last aired, has now been viewed by 17.1 million people on catch-up and live when it was originally broadcast.
However, there has been controversy surrounding the return of the much-loved show, centring mostly around the use of the word ‘f****t’ in Nessa and Bryn’s rendition of Fairytale of New York in a pub on Christmas Eve.
The argument from most fans was that the use of the word wasn’t necessary in 2019, and avoiding airing the word wouldn’t have taken away from the scene or the show.

Ahead of the scene airing, Ruth Jones defended the decision and told The Sun it was a ‘different climate’, saying: ‘We have to remain true to the characters, to who they were.
‘Characters in Gavin and Stacey are kind and big-hearted, I believe. So I think no one is going to be intentionally hurtful.
‘But by the same token, they’re not necessarily going to be completely politically correct or be aware of political correctness.’
The Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.

Hunters is coming to Amazon Prime (Picture: Amazon)
Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer for the Al Pacino-starring thriller Hunters, which sees the cinematic legend take to the small screen to fight Nazis alongside Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman.
Following a band of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York, the film follows the Hunters as they discover that hundreds of former high-ranking Nazi officials are alive and well living amongst us and plotting their revenge.
The diverse team sets out on a mission to stop these dastardly criminals from establishing a Fourth Reich in the US and will have to work together in order to stop the plans for a new genocide.
Living film legend Pacino (coming off a starring role in Netflix’s acclaimed Irishman from Martin Scorsese) stars as a Holocaust survivor, alongside Lerman, Jerrika Hinton and Josh Radnor.
The new action-packed trailer sees Lerman’s character set out to solve the murder of his grandmother, who was also a survivor of the Nazi death camps.
Pacino’s grizzled old man becomes something of a sensei to the young boy – telling him, ‘there’s evil everywhere’ as he drops the bombshell that he and Lerman’s deceased grandmother created the Hunters to seek and expose any Nazis still living undercover in America.
They certainly seem to be a rag-tag, diverse bunch as well; from young to old, male to female…there’s even a spy dressed up as a nun for good measure.
Horror auteur Jordan Peele will executive produce the series, which was created by writer David Weil. American Horror Story filmmaker Alfonso Gomez-Rejon directed the pilot.
The series will drop all of its episodes on 21 February, so you have plenty of time to get ready to binge all the Nazi-hunting you can bear in one sitting.
There’s still a lot more to come from Amazon Prime this year.
