Joel Dommett almost missed his own wedding for The Masked Singer and that’s commitment

The Masked Singer might be everyone’s newest TV obsession, but there’s not many people that would consider missing their own wedding day for it… except Joel Dommett that is.

Joel revealed he almost had to make the difficult choice of whether to postpone his wedding to Hannah Cooper after being offered the job and finding out the filming dates might clash with his big day.

Speaking to Lorraine, Joel admitted he didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to work on the show – which he correctly predicted would be completely amazing.

He admitted: ‘My wife could tell. Basically I went outside for a phone call with my agent and they said they want me to do The Masked Singer and they said these are the dates.

‘And I came in to the house and I said to my wife: “Erm, I think I’ve just been given a really big opportunity, biggest of my life, but it’s the day of the wedding… Can we move it?”

‘And she was like “No…”, but luckily they managed to slide The Masked Singer back a little bit.’

Joel admitted the decision would have been difficult but ultimately he would have had to choose getting married, saying: ‘I would have of course picked the wedding…’

However, he did say that his wedding in Mykonos was without doubt the best day of his life, so it’s just as well he got to do both in the end.

Speaking about The Masked Singer, Joel revealed: ‘It’s insane, isn’t it? It’s so arresting for the eyes. Like imagine it from my perspective, I was stood next to a huge unicorn, hosting a primetime ITV show. I was like “Am I still drunk from Christmas?!” It’s so bizarre for me.’

He admitted he knows all of the identities of the singers now, but it’s a closely guarded secret as the rest of us furiously try and work it out.

Joel explained: ‘I now know because we have recorded them all but it’s so secretive, the whole thing is so unbelievably secretive.

‘Six producers on the whole show [know who the singers are]. I’ve never held such secrets, it’s so wonderful!’

Lorraine is on ITV weekdays from 9am, and The Masked Singer is on Saturday and Sunday from 8pm on ITV.

Sophie Piper has spoken about her complicated past relationship with sister Rochelle Humes ahead of her Love Island debut.

The 21-year-old medical PA, who recently flew over to the new villa in South Africa along with the new cast of sexy singletons, will be looking for love when Love Island returns on Sunday.

Best known as the lookalike sister of This Morning presenter Rochelle (you’ve probably seen them on Instagram together), the pair have only grown close in recent years, with Rochelle only learning about the existence of a third sister, Lili, in 2019.

‘There was a period where we weren’t in contact,’ Sophie told MailOnline.

‘It was weird growing up not knowing Rochelle but since we have spoken we speak every day so it is nice all of us being in each other’s lives now.

‘My middle sister Lili went to school with [Love Island’s Kem Cetinay] so that’s how we know him. Obviously he was at the same school as me. It’s funny how it’s all linked together.’

Speaking about the reunion of the sisters back in May, Rochelle said: ‘We are literally the same people, Marvin was like, “OMG, there’s more of you”. We’ve spoken every day since – Jeremy Kyle style. It’s like we’ve known each other all our lives.’

Having already been urged by her big sister to ‘bring back a keeper’, Sophie admitted that she was looking to The Saturdays singer and her husband Marvin Humes for relationship inspo in the villa.

‘Both my sisters have really nice relationships so it would be nice to get along with someone well,’ she said.

Love Island returns Sunday 12 January at 9pm on ITV 2.

Hilary Duff’s Lizzie McGuire reboot is not what dreams are made of as creator quits over ‘creative differences’

This is not what dreams are made of (Picture: Getty/Disney)

Hilary Duff’s Lizzie McGuire reboot has turned out to be not what dreams are made of as its creator has quit just two episodes in.

It all, initially, looked so promising as the sequel series was first announced last summer as an exclusive to the Disney+ streaming service.

But now it appears the programme is in chaos as Terri Minsky – the creator of the original series – sensationally quit as showrunner after just two episodes were filmed (via Variety).

In a statement, Disney said: ‘Fans have a sentimental attachment to Lizzie McGuire and high expectations for a new series.

‘After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the series.’

Like the theme song says, however, we’re sure they’ll figure it out.

The original Lizzie McGuire only ran for two seasons – but 65 episodes – from 2001 until 2004, but had a huge fanbase, which was only boosted with the release of the quite frankly iconic The Lizzie McGuire Movie in 2003.

The original series ended in 2004 (Picture: Disney)

The show followed Lizzie, a 13-year-old girl, as she navigated family drama, first crushes and school with her best friends Gordo (Adam Lamberg) and Miranda (Lalaine) – with an animated version of Lizzie sharing her innermost thoughts.

The reboot, however, will see Lizzie as a 30-year-old, with Hilary – who is now a mum-of-two – telling E! News: ‘What are the struggles of a 30-year-old right now? What are the pressures that life throws in front of a woman who is 30 and doesn’t have all the things yet?’

Sparks hitmaker Hilary had also teased the return of her on-screen family on the set for the reboot.

Sadly, despite their kiss at the end of the movie, Lizzie and Gordo aren’t together anymore – but Hilary is hopeful Adam will be joining the other OG members of the cast at some point.

She told Vulture: ‘I really hope he’s going to be involved. We’ve been planning out the season and coming up with what everything looks like, and it’s so important for him to be there for part of it.’

Meghan Trainor consoles Olly Murs in The Voice UK this weekend as he tears up over his estranged twin brother Ben Hart in a heartbreaking chat to his fellow coaches, will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones.

Olly and his brother Ben famously fell out while he was a contestant on The X Factor in 2009 when the chart-topper skipped his brother’s wedding to compete in the semi-finals.

And during tomorrow night’s episode, when confronted with twins Katie and Aofie, the duo bring back painful memories for Olly and it all becomes too much.

In a picture from the second episode of The Voice, Meghan – who replaced Cats powerhouse Jennifer Hudson on The Voice 2020 – can be seen giving a choked up Olly a hug.

During the instalment, Olly explains to pal Tom: ‘I feel like the next time I’m going to see him is when we lose somebody close in our family, and I don’t want that to be the case.’

‘It’s a shame — even more so for my mum,’ he added. ‘And I do miss having my twin with me.’

Olly Murs on The Voice

Back in 2017, Olly’s mum Vickylynn Murs admitted to the Sunday Times, the feud brought her to the brink of a breakdown.

After years of silence, Ben – who has dropped the family name to take his wife’s surname, Hart – blamed ‘fame and greed’ on the breakdown of their relationship and slammed his mother for speaking about him to press.

‘I can’t believe what my mum did by talking about my childhood. I was so upset when I read it,’ he told the Daily Mail.

‘Why has my mum, the person who should defend me, said things that are hurtful and untrue?’

The Voice UK continues tomorrow night at 8.30pm on ITV.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford rinse ‘financially independent’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they ‘put couple to work’

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford hilarious rinsed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on This Morning as they put a look-a-like couple to work in an effort to become ‘financially independent.’

The world was shook yesterday as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued a royal announcement and will now focus their efforts on becoming financially independent and running their charity.

And now, the couple made an appearance no-one was expecting on everyone’s favourite daytime TV programme (well, kind of).

‘They said they’re looking for a new role,’ Ruth said, as the lookalikes served the married presenting duo coffee. ‘I said, why not here?’

Eamonn added: ‘Meghan and Harry, they want to be financially independent, so we’ve given them lots of jobs to do around the studio.’

Well, that’s certainly one way to do it. As they say, work your way up from the bottom – they’ll be presenting the whole thing within a year.

Apparently, they even ironed Eamonn’s shirt too, how nice!

Following their announcement, the Duke and Duchess plan to split their time between the UK and North America, raising their son Archie together.

The statement in part read: ‘This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.

‘We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties.

‘Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.’

As for what The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s announcement means in the long run, even Buckingham Palace admitted it was ‘early days’ and there are ‘complicated issues to work out.’

It is understood the Queen and Prince Charles were unaware of the contents of the bombshell statement before it was released on Wednesday evening.

This Morning continues weekdays from 10am on ITV.

Charlotte Crosby and Ryan Gallagher kiss and spoon in bed as I’m A Celebrity romance heats up

Charlotte Crosby looks to be leaving the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Australia jungle with a new man, as her romance with Ryan Gallagher has started to heat up.

The former Geordie Shore star, 29, admitted she had feelings for Ryan, 31, who found fame on Married At First Sight, after confirming the pair had had a flirt over social media before they joined the show.

While the pair had never met in person, Ryan admitted the feeling was mutual, and it didn’t take long for the pair to act on their impulses in the close confines of the camp.

Charlotte, who split with ex Joshua Ritchie in November, is newly single after her two-year relationship, and from the looks of it is definitely ready to mingle.

Last night’s show saw Charlotte and Ryan kissing and even getting in bed together for a good old spooning sesh as their relationship began to blossom.

Ryan was seen leaning over Charlotte’s bunk to give her a kiss as the other campmates tried to sleep around them, before heading over to his own bed.

Charlotte was later seen climbing in to Ryan’s bunk – which looks barely big enough for one person, let alone two, as well as being pretty rickety.

She was seen grabbing Ryan’s arm for a cuddle as Ryan became big spoon as they snuggled up for the night.

Charlotte had earlier confessed that she wanted to kiss Ryan, telling him while doing the washing up: ‘I told you about the surprise. I was going to give you a kiss!’, to which Ryan replied: ‘I was going to kiss you by the basin!’

She had previously confessed in the Bush Telegraph: ‘He’s really funny … he’s really, really good looking, he’s really handsome.

‘His legs are a little bit paler than the rest of his body, which freaks me out a bit, but other than that… he gives me a bit of a tingle.’

We’re already excited to see how this one develops – and whether Charlotte and Ryan’s relationship will continue in the outside world, too.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 7 trailer imagines Andy Samberg comedy as 80s cop show

The new Brooklyn Nine-Nine trailer has dropped and Jake Peralta is finally living his Die Hard fantasy.

Season eight may have already been confirmed, but we’ve been counting down the days until the season seven trailer and it’s got us seeing the 99th precinct in a whole new light.

Reimagining the series as an 80s style cop show, all grainy effects and overly dramatic music, we see the new episodes pick up exactly where season six left off, with Andre Braugher’s Raymond Holt being made to work below Andy Samberg’s Jake as an officer again.

‘Meet Jake Peralta, an NYPD detective who’s always on the beat,’ the rousing voiceover reads.

‘And former Captain Raymond Holt, who recently got demoted for failing to finish his officer training.’

With the gang taking on an attempted assassination and doing what they do best, the voiceover continues: ‘Now, when the city is thrown into chaos these two unlikely heroes will have to team up to take down crime and save New York City.

‘Putting away bad guys means putting everything on the line, but that’s just the way it’s done in the 99.’

Debuting on 6 February in the US, the show will premiere with an hour-long episode which is sure to keep fans doubly happy.

And it seems as though this season is going to be the best one yet, with creator Dan Goor teasing: ‘I think we’re gonna bring back a lot of our favourites, who I think are also fan favourites.

‘We’re hoping to have a Pimento episode, we’re hoping to have a Pontiac Bandit episode obviously [and] hoping to have Marc Evan Jackson.’

Sounds ‘toit’!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs on NBC in the US and E4 in the UK.

Linda Robson reveals OCD battle made her ‘bath four times a day’ and confirms family called police for help

Linda Robson has opened up about her battle with OCD as she made her return to Loose Women.

The 61-year-old actress hasn’t been seen on the daytime show since January amid reports police and medics were called to her home twice in two weeks.

Speaking on the ITV show, the actress revealed that she has been struggling with extreme Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) after having a bad reaction to antidepressants that made her hyperactive.

‘My OCD kicked into overdrive. At one point I was having four baths a day, I was washing my bedding every day,’ she said.

‘Instead of calming me down, it sent me hyper.’

Linda’s fellow Loose Women admitted that they had been aware of the problem, but things came to a head on a group trip to Ibiza, during which Linda couldn’t let her phone dip below 100 percent battery without charging it.

‘It was like the dimmer switch was turning down,’ Nadia Sawalha said, admitting: ‘Our fear was that you might have dementia.’

Things were at their worst around Christmas 2018, with Linda drinking in an attempt to dull antidepressants and saying that she ‘ruined Christmas’ for her family.

Taking around 16 tablets a day, she confirmed the reports of police being called to her house after her family were forced to lock her away to protect her.

‘I was shouting out the door “someone let me out” and then the police were called. I think they thought I’d been kidnapped.’

However, things seem to be looking better for Linda, who hasn’t drunk in 11 months and is now weaning herself off the tablets after a six week stint in rehab and being told by her doctor that she’d had ‘the worst reaction’ to antidepressants he’d ever seen.

‘I felt so guilty about what I put my family through, but at least now I know it wasn’t my fault,’ she said. ‘I was ill. It was an illness.’

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

We can feel the drama already (Picture: ITV/Getty)

We are just days away until the start of Winter Love Island and new host Laura Whitmore has already teased a shocking twist ahead of the show on Sunday.

Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold gave viewers a sneak peek around the Love Island villa on Friday and he couldn’t help but spot a particular detail surrounding the bed situation.

Laura, who has replaced Caroline Flack on the new series, gave the entertainment presenter a grand tour of the villa and as they reached the bedroom he questioned the number of beds in there.

‘There are 14 beds and 12 contestants?’ he questioned.

Trying not to laugh, Laura teased: ‘Almost like there might be a bombshell happening…’

Laura then proceeded to show Richard the rest of the villa which is twice the size of the villa in Mallorca.

As they strolled into the lounge Laura continued: ‘There’s a lot of space for conversations and relationships to grow.

‘Lots of little nooks and crannies if you want to get away from everyone else.’

The news follows after Laura revealed Caroline had sent her a message of support before she had even bagged the hosting job.

Flack stepped down from the first-ever Winter edition of Love Island after being arrested and charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton by battery.

Laura previously assured she had Flackers’ backing but during This Morning today, the 34-year-old revealed details of the message her predecessor gave her before ITV announced she was taking over the villa.

‘It was a little bit of a whirlwind,’ the former Strictly Come Dancing star admitted to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. ‘When Caroline stepped down she actually sent me a text saying, “I really hope you get to do this series.”

‘But then there was all this speculation in the papers and I didn’t know anything, I just knew as much as everyone else.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe once got mistaken for being homeless after a man gave him five dollars for a coffee.

Speaking to host Graham Norton, the actor opened up about getting recognised wherever he goes and he recalled the moment a man in New York thought he was homeless.

‘It’s weird and funny, with some very odd moments,’ he began.

‘I was in New York recently with my girlfriend and while she was in a shop, I was outside with our adopted dog. It was very cold, and I had on a hoodie, a fleece and then a big coat over the top.

‘Because it was so cold, I knelt down to warm the dog and I saw this guy looking at me and then he walked past me. But then he came back and handed me five dollars and said, “Get yourself a coffee mate”. Apparently, I need to shave more often.’

The Woman in Black actor also spoke to Graham about his new play Endgame, in which he stars with Alan Cumming and when asked about his love of the theatre he responded: ‘I think it makes me better.

‘It’s hard work and gives me a lot of confidence to know that I’m not entirely the product of editors and producers and that I can do it on my own and exist outside of that. It’s also fun. I love being on film sets, but you don’t get the raw rush you get on stage.’

Asked if his fans will go and see whatever he is in, he added: ‘I think there is a fair amount of that. It’s a nice part of my job that I maybe get to introduce people to stuff they might not otherwise see.’

Also joining Daniel on the show, Graham will welcome Miriam Margolyes, writer, actor, and producer Sharon Horgan and singer-songwriter Craig David.

The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One at 10.35pm.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar ‘confirms he will join Saved By The Bell remake’ as Zack Morris so we can all rejoice

Mark-Paul Gosselaar, aka Zach Morris from Saved By The Bell, has apparently confirmed he’ll be starring in the reboot.

The daytime TV hunk left hearts shattered when he claimed back in September that he hadn’t been approached to appear in the reboot – despite being the main character.

But it’s all worked out alright in the end! We think…

Mark-Paul reportedly assured fans he will be in the revival, during an appearance at the Television Critics Association press tour.

‘Everybody can sleep well at night,’ he said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The star also said he believes his former castmate Tiffani Thiessen, who played Kelly Kapowski in the original series, ‘has been engaged with’ the project.

‘It looks like you will have us in some capacity,’ he added.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Mark-Paul’s rep for comment.

Mark-Paul is already starring in Mixed-ish, a prequel to the comedy Black-ish, on ABC, a competitor to NBC’s streaming service.

A series regular is restricted to appearing in three episodes of another show, according to industry standard, so we may not get to see all that much of Mark-Paul.

The popular show is being revived after 30 years and will reportedly see the return of Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley as Slater and Jessie.

Josie Totah has been cast as the most popular girl in school, while John Michael Higgins will replace Dennis Haskins’ Principal Belding.

The reboot, picking up decades after the original series ended, will apparently see Zack as a California governor who comes under fire for shutting low-income high schools.

Mark-Paul previously claimed in September that he wasn’t invited to star in the reboot, which is, frankly, a bit weird.

He told Variety: ‘I read it in the trades just like everybody else this morning. Honestly, I was never approached. I woke up to the news this morning with a kind of “huh” response.’

Rachel Riley is a one-woman Urban Dictionary and explains all the dirty words banned on Countdown to Susie Dent

Who needs the Urban Dictionary when you have Rachel Riley? (Picture: Getty)

If you ever want to know the meaning of a dirty word but don’t have the time to scroll through Urban Dictionary- Countdown’s Susie Dent suggests you ask Rachel Riley instead.

The Dictionary Corner stalwart – who has been a part of the programme since 1992 – revealed that instances of words being removed from the show because of its pre-watershed air time ‘happens quite a lot.’

But if you need an explanation for those naughty words, you might want to go straight to Rachel.

‘Rachel says “Susie knows every single word in the dictionary apart from the rude ones.” And I think that’s probably true,’ the presenter shared with Metro.co.uk whilst discussing her The Word campaign with McDonald’s.

Sometimes I will read, very innocently, a definition of something from the dictionary and not know that in the urban dictionary there’s a much ruder definition of it,’ she explained.

‘Rachel will know what the ruder definition is while I have no clue and she often educates me on that one afterward.’

Given that she’s been the guiding hand of the Dictionary Corner for nearly 20 years, this gap in knowledge is surprising. Luckily for Susie, however, she won’t have long to wait before her vocabulary is again improved as the numbers whizz is returning from maternity leave to the Channel 4 show for filming ‘in a few weeks.’

Provider: @rachelrileyrr

The 55-year-old is currently the longest-serving presenter on Countdown, beating out Rachel herself and host Nick Hewer.

‘I’ve been there forever,’ Susie revealed on her tenure. ‘I used to joke it would be me and the clock left and then the clock was replaced!’

She added: ‘I’ve been doing it…it was almost my first working week I was asked to audition and I said no. [I was working for] Oxford University Press and they supply the dictionaries from the show.

‘I was eventually persuaded by my boss to do it – thank goodness for him!’

But if you’re ever worried that there could be Susie-shaped void in the Dictionary Corner sometime soon, fear not – she told us she’s not going anywhere.

‘I honestly still love it,’ she gushed. ‘I still feel the adrenaline of the clock. It never gets old for me. I’ll keep doing it as long as they’ll have me.’

Countdown airs weekdays on Channel 4. Susie Dent has teamed up with McDonald’s to celebrate the 24 deals in 23 days, available exclusively through the My McDonald’s App until 26th January. The My McDonald’s App can be downloaded for Apple or Android phones here.

Viral Family Feud Popeye gaffe instantly becomes the most surreal TV moment of 2020

A viral moment from Canadian competition Family Feud may have just trumped the iconic ‘Sharon’ moment from Celebrity Mastermind to earn the title of most surreal TV moment of the year (so far).

Casualty actress Amanda Henderson unwittingly became a viral sensation when she mistook Greta Thunberg‘s first name as ‘Sharon.’ Which it’s obviously not. But this clip could possibly outdo that.

Family Feud is the Canadian version of the classic Family Fortunes, hosted by Gerry Dee. He was overseeing the final question of the game – where there was $10,000 (£5,865) on the line.

The question? ‘Name Popeye’s famous food.’

Simple enough right? Wrong! Hapless contestant Eve Dubois answered instantly with ‘chiiiiiickeeeeen!’, busting out some choice moves to prove how confident she was in this answer.

To say she was wrong would be an understatement. Spinach! Of course it’s spinach! They were talking about the cartoon character, not the US fast-food chain.

The competing family obviously gave the right answer and scooped the prize.

As soon as the clip was posted to Twitter, it immediately went viral, with one person calling it ‘one of the most iconic game show moments I’ve ever seen.’

Another wrote: ‘Her dancing to the answer and then realising what she’s done is priceless.’

A wise soul even called for Eve to become Popeye’s (the food chain, not the cartoon) official spokesperson – we’d say that would help soften the blow of not walking away with 10 Gs.

At least the Dubois family can rest easy in the knowledge that their loss will now go down in TV history.

2020 is already proving to be quite the year for surreal television moments. We’ve had Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes dropping the T-bomb when talking about the Queen.

And of course, every single moment of The Masked Singer is proving to be more and more hallucinatory than the last.

Loose Women viewers accuse panellists of biphobia after same-sex cheating discussion

The Loose Women panellists came under fire on Friday for ‘trivialising’ bisexuality and failing to acknowledge bisexual people during a discussion about same-sex relationships.

Discussing a Coronation Street plot that saw Tracy Barlow cheat on her husband with a female friend, the panel discussed whether they would be able to forgive their partners for being unfaithful with a member of the same sex.

‘If Joe [Swash] cheated on me with a man, I think I would be less upset than if it was with a woman,’ Stacey Solomon said.

‘I don’t know if that’s because there was a real reason that he cheated on me, that he was gay and was suppressing himself for a really long time and then met somebody. Whereas if he cheated on me with another woman, I’d feel like I had done something wrong and that I wasn’t good enough.’

Jane Moore interjected: ‘Would you not think that the whole time throughout your relationship had been a sham and that the whole time he was thinking about being with another man not you?’

‘Probably,’ replied Stacey, ‘but I think ultimately I would understand that lots of people don’t know who they are until a certain point in their life and that they might have thought they were one person, then realised they were another.’

While well meaning, a number of viewers pointed out that the Loose Women’s discussion was just rehashing a lot of old arguments about same sex relationships: that sex between women ‘doesn’t count’, that a man who cheats with a man must be secretly gay and that bisexual people straight up don’t exist.

‘#LooseWomen literally forgetting bisexual people exist,’ one Twitter user wrote, while another added: ‘Oh, lovely biphobia and bierasure on #LooseWomen this afternoon.

‘I don’t condone cheating at all & by posing this question the way you have, you are implying that same sex relationships hold less ‘weight’ than heterosexual ones,’ another viewer replied.

‘Feeding into the silly idea that ‘it’s just a phase’ and therefore forgivable because it was with the same sex!’

This was furthered by another Twitter user, who wrote: ‘Cheating is cheating end of.’

However, the live audience seemed to be on Stacey and Jane’s side, with the majority saying that they’d rather a partner cheated with a member of same sex than the opposite.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has confirmed filming for season four will start ‘soon’.

The cast has remained tight-lipped about the next installment of the Netflix hit, ever since season three left us all on a cliffhanger.

But it looks as though we’re about to get some answers, as the actress, who plays Eleven in the sci-fi hit, has teased the start of production.

In a fan Q&A on her Instagram account, the young star was asked when she was starting to film.

And even though she held her cards close to her chest, the 15-year-old told her 31.4million followers: ‘Soon! Early this year for sure and v excited ab it [sic].’

The final scenes of season three saw Jim Hopper (David Harbour) sacrifice himself in order to save both Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Joyce (Winona Ryder) and the entire town of Hawkins.

The much-loved character was zapped into the unknown, after putting up a fierce fight against the Russians.

However, as no body was left behind, it seems fans are more than convinced he’ll be revealed as The American.

Millie’s comments come just days after it was rumoured the cast will be heading on out to Lithuania where production will start.

Will we ever find out who The American is? (Picture: Netflix)

According to Murphys Multiverse, filming will begin late this month or early February where they’ll primarily be using a prison and will film in and around the same set as HBO’s Chernobyl.

Although no official start date or filming location has been confirmed, the Stranger Things Twitter account did tease a set change.

Back in December, they wished their fans a happy Christmas and New Year with w post that read: ‘2020, we’re not in Hawkins anymore.’

They then changed their location to read: ‘Is this really Hawkins?’ before making it the devil face emoji.

With Millie Bobby Brown already teasing season four, we have everything crossed she’ll give fans some BTS goss if the Lithuania speculation proves true.

Stranger Things seasons one to three are available to stream on Netflix.

Surviving R Kelly Part Two The Reckoning: First victim speaks out claiming ‘I was the first girl and no one believed me’

The first alleged victim of singer R. Kelly has spoken out in the latest documentary claiming ‘no one believed me’.

The first series, which premiered early in 2019, broke ratings records as it delved behind the scenes of the many headlines about R Kelly’s relationships and the sex abuse charges he has faced.

Following the release of the documentary, which saw many of his former girlfriends speak out on camera, and the focus once again being on R Kelly’s alleged conduct led to the singer soon being arrested.

The second part of the documentary titled Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning, will see other victims come forward, with some speaking out for the very first time.

In a first-look clip the first alleged victim claimed: ‘I was the first girl and no one believed me and after that, it happened again and again and again.’

Another victim who can be seen crying added: ‘We are grown girls but we are still little girls that cry silently if you weren’t there you’ll never understand it.’

The singer’s ex-girlfriend Jerhonda Pace also tells her story in the documentary.

She claimed she met Kelly when she was just 17-years-old and alleged that he told her she had to kill herself if he was ever arrested or harmed.

Jerhonda attended his child pornography trial in Chicago in 2008 as one of his supporters – but up until that point, she had never met him.

In the clip, as she broke down in tears she began: ‘With Rob, I was part of a suicide pact with him. And if anything was to happen to him, if he was to go to jail or someone was to harm him, I was supposed to kill myself.’

She continued: ‘When the suicide pact came about, Rob and I was in the mirror room, and he told me if I was everything to him like I say he is, then there would be no life worth living.

‘He said, “if something happens to me, I want you to take these pills”.

‘When I was with him I was really ready to take my own life because Rob was everything to me. Rob was my life.’

FILE - In this Sept. 17, 2019 file photo, R. Kelly appears during a hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse in Chicago. The singer pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, in federal court in the Brooklyn borough to New York, to charges he schemed to pay for a fake ID for an unnamed female the day before he married teen R&B singer Aaliyah in 1994. Among those speaking out in the documentary was music boss Damon Dash, who revealed that his ex-girlfriend Aaliyah wanted nothing to do with R. Kelly and that she was just a ‘sacrificial lamb’ in a follow-up documentary.

The 48-year-old claimed the late singer wanted nothing to do with R. Kelly after they got an annulment on their controversial marriage.

His marriage to Aaliyah was annulled after only a few months because of her age.

It follows after R. Kelly pleaded not guilty to charges he asked someone to bribe a government official to procure a fake ID the day before he married Aaliyah, who was 15 at the time.

The star appeared via video feed in court in December 2019 where he denied the charge of scheming with others to pay for the document, ahead of the secret 1994 ceremony.

Earlier this month a new indictment accused the singer, 52, of bribing a government official in Illinois back in 1994 to obtain a fake ID for Aaliyah (named as Jane Doe in documents, but believed to be Aaliyah) to show she was 18 years old. It’s alleged the ID was used in order to secure a marriage license when Aaliyah was 15.

Kelly, then 27, and Aaliyah married in August 1994, a day after the alleged bribe took place, reports The New York Times. The same claim was made in a documentary, Surviving R Kelly, that aired in January, by one of Kelly’s former tour managers.

Metro.co.uk previously contacted Kelly’s reps for comment.

Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning will air on Lifetime in three parts in the UK starting on 3 February.

Sharon finally reveals what happened to her character on Catastrophe (Picture: PA)

Catastrophe’s series finale saw Rob (Delaney) and Sharon (Horgan) left viewers guessing whether their beloved characters died in the series finale – but now The Graham Norton Show has delivered the answer.

The much-loved Channel 4 sitcom ended on a bittersweet note in February, with the announcement that Sharon was pregnant again.

It was made even more poignant as the pair were attending the funeral of Rob’s mother, played by the late great Carrie Fisher, who died in December 2016.

Agreeing to spend their lives together, the pair headed into the ocean – but swam too far out, leaving others to wonder if their moment of bliss ultimately ended in their accidental deaths.

But when Graham asked if they died, Sharon finally answered and said: ‘No.’

‘I mean, maybe,’ she then backtracked. ‘It was supposed to be ambiguous. You could take it as that.

‘Rob always thought there was a slightly dark ending possibility, but I always thought they made it back to shore.

‘They’d had a fright, but they made it back. It’s supposed to be both and to give you hope as well as fear for their future.’

The four-season run was widely praised by fans across the world for its unlikely tale of finding love after the pair – an American businessman and an Irish teacher – accidentally get pregnant in a no-strings-attached relationship gone wrong.

Following the season end, Sharon said she would be up for returning to the character in a few years time… provided they survived.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Sharon – who also created the show – admitted returning to the characters when they’re older could prove to be ‘fertile’ ground.

‘We often talked while we were filming about the idea of revisiting those characters. This was before we knew it was going to end,’ she said.

‘We talked about revisiting them and they’re that bit older and their kids are at a different stage where a whole new set of challenges come along, because there’s only so many times you can watch people with small kids flail.’

The Graham Norton Show airs tonight at 10.30pm on BBC One.

Dwayne Johnson reflects fondly on his career (Credit: WWE)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has worked with a lot of legendary stars – both in ring and on screen – over the years, so he it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about performing for an audience.

While the WWE legend may have left his wrestling days behind him, he still holds a big place in his heart for that phase of his career, and he’s got many fond memories.

Occasionally, we get to see good old Dwayne reminiscing on social media, and this week he heaped praise on former commentator and Raw general manager Jonathan Coachman for his skills.

The pair worked together a lot over the years, and the broadcaster – who also teased a WWE comeback for 2020 – told one Twitter follower that a skit with Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore and The Rock was the best night of his career.

Dwayne remembered it fondly too, responding: ‘Man we lit that arena that night, Coach! Thanks for always bringing your A game and always putting the audience first. That’s why all our segments were classics and so much f’n FUN for the fans.

‘The segment in question took place back in May 2004, when The Rock made a surprise return to save Eugene from bad guy Coach – who he gave an epic dressing down to on the mic – after he tried to banish him from the WWE.’

The Rock’s most recent appearance on WWE television came on the SmackDown premiere on Fox in the US in October, when he shared the ring with King Corbin and Becky Lynch.

Corbin later said: ‘Even if you had no clue who he is, if he were to walk into the room you’d go, “Whoa, that dude’s special”. It was a cool moment to be in the ring with him, eating the Rock Bottom and the People’s Elbow, another cool moment.

‘Just, he’s one of the best ever on the mic. There’s a few people in that category that are like, “These are the best dudes ever on the mic”… I felt like I hung with him, and now I owe him a beating.’

Will Smith made sure he gave a shout out to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when challenged to rap his life story.

The 51-year-old starred in the show back in 1990 for six whole years before it came to ahead.

And it seems he’s still reaping the rewards from the popular comedy 30 years later – as he credited the 90s programme when appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Alongside the host, the father-of-three broke into verse as he spat out a number of lines about his successful career.

‘I was rappin’ just to make bus fare / Then I moved in with my auntie and uncle in Bel-Air.’

Fallon chimed in: ‘I don’t gotta tell you that show was awesome / Every Monday night, before an all-new Blossom.’

The singer then took us through his journey from the small screen to Hollywood films, such as Bad Boys and Men In Black.

‘But a real big star needs a real big screen / So I had to spread my wings, if you know what I mean?’ he rapped before adding: ‘Independence Day, aliens on my turf / You invading us? Nah, “Welcome to Earth!”‘

Will’s duetting buddy made sure Jada Pinkett Smith got a mention: ’97 married Jada, and she still set it off / Any questions? You and she can have a Red Table Talk.’

He also gushed over his family (Picture: Getty Images)

Will then turned his attention to his 19-year-old daughter Willow, and his two sons Jaden, 21, and Trey, 27, who he shared with Jada.

He beamed: ‘Started out a Prince, then became the Fresh Papi / Cuz Trey is the Ace, Jaden’s a force / Willow came and told ya ‘whip your hair back and forth!’

Closing up the rap, the proud dad then brought fans up to modern-day where he gave a nod to his Disney remake, Aladdin.

‘Aladdin ain’t never ever had a friend like me / And I turned into a pigeon in my last movie,’ he spat: ‘So whether G, Genie, matchmaker, fish or a bird.’

Fallon said: ‘You’re a good man,’ before Will smirked: ‘And a Bad Boy For Life, you heard.’

Chris Rock turns mob boss after escaping Jim Crow in Fargo season 4’s first trailer

Chris Rock is turning crime boss in the first look at Fargo season 4 – and he’s making a lot of enemies fast as he takes on the Mafia during the 1950s American South.

The new season of the action-comedy sees Chris play Loy Cannon, the leader of an African-American mob who have struck an accord with Italian-American crime family The Faddas, led by Josto (Jason Schwartzman).

Both groups have come to an uneasy peace for control of Kansas City – but both have plans in place to take over and it’s not going to take much for that peace to end.

To cement their care of each other, they’ve traded eldest sons to establish a hold over each other.

Taking on a story of escaping Jim Crow and starting a new life, but with racism rampant across America at the time it was easier said than done for both parties.

‘The history of America is the history of the entrepreneur. It’s the person that starts with nothing and gets to some place and then fights to hold on to it,’ showrunner Noah Hawley said of the series at the TCAs on Thursday.

‘I don’t know the world of stand-up comedy [but] it felt to me like Chris Rock embodied that spirit. Plus, he’s funny.’

The all-star cast is definitely not one to be messed with, with other stars making appearances including Ben Whishaw, Jessie Buckley and Timothy Olyphant among the cast.

The Fargo anthology (but universe connected) series has proven to be a major draw for familiar names over the years, but Hawley has teased to The Wrap that this could be the last instalment.
