Michelle replied: ‘Beginning of October.’
The 33-year-old actress also had more news for viewers, telling her followers: ‘But we start filming for season four in August as well.’

Love Island is aiming to welcome a disabled contestant for the first time when it returns to ITV2 later this month.
After amputee Milly Pickles revealed she was asked to go on the show just a few days ago, it’s been reported that bosses are ‘actively approaching for someone with a visible disability’.
It comes after speculation that the new line-up will feature Love Island’s most diverse cast yet with contestants of ‘all shapes and sizes’.
‘It’s all part of the show trying to be as diverse as possible,’ an insider said.
The source added to The Sun: ‘The final line-up hasn’t been sorted yet but it would be ideal if they had at least one disabled islander.’
Last week, Milly told her followers on TikTok that she had been approached.
‘Just thinking – I was asked to go on Love Island this year and I said no but, would I have been the first disabled Love Islander?’ she asked in a video.
‘And does this mean that they’re being more inclusive? Because if so, fabulous. I cannot wait to watch.’
Clarifying her point, Milly added: ‘They contacted me and I had calls with various people but I pulled out because I realised, “Why am I doing this? It doesn’t align with who I am.”
‘That’s not the point I’m making though. I’m saying that, because they got in contact with me and I’m disabled, does that mean that they’re going to bring other disabled people in? Because hopefully.’

While the channel has many fans already, others aren’t so keen, accusing GB News of ‘right wing propaganda’.
A number of Twitter accounts listed the brands that advertised on GB News in its first day, including Boots, Cadbury’s, Deliveroo, Facebook, Ikea, Kellogg’s and Nivea, and called for a boycott of the companies.
An ad for Swedish alcohol brand Kopparberg, best known for its fruit ciders, was shown during Dan Wootton’s show, and the company responded to being tagged in the boycott list by claiming they were unaware their ad was shown on GB News.
A response to a number of boycott lists read and queries as to why they were advertising with GB News read: ‘Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We want to make it clear to everyone that our ad ran on this channel without our knowledge or consent.
‘Kopparberg is a drink for everyone and we have immediately suspended our ads from this channel pending further review of its content.’
Kopparberg issued a statement (Picture: Twitter)
The statement was also tweeted in response to a person who had tweeted: ‘This list of advertisers on @GBNEWS was helpfully complied by far left extremists who wish to censor what we watch. I’m sure all my friends and followers would like to RT to show their support for these organisations who support freedom of speech and a free press.’
Kopparberg’s statement was met with mixed reactions, with some applauding the company.
One person tweeted: ‘I’m delighted to see that Kopparberg have upset so many gammons. So much so that I think theirs is the only cider I’ll drink from now on’, while another said: ‘Love the fact that the people calling out those who would boycott advertisers on GB channel are now going to boycott Kopparberg for withdrawing their ads. Irony, so much irony.’
However, others were furious with the brand, and threatened to boycott their ciders this summer in response.
One tweet read: ‘Whoever runs your twitter account needs a word in their ear. ‘Kopparberg is a drink for everyone.’ Except viewers of @GBNEWS apparently.’
Another person tweeted: ‘Thank you for bringing this to my attention so I won’t buy any of your products again. You obviously mean it’s a drink for “everyone” who prescribes to your way of thinking’, while many critical tweets were posted with the hashtag #GoWokeGoBroke.
Former The Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry, who hosts a show on GB News, tweeted: ‘People describing themselves as #antifa seem to have nothing better to do today than draw up lists of companies advertising with @GBNEWS & ask folk to boycott.
‘The companies ‘crime’? Advertising on a channel they haven’t seen but which may contain views different to theirs.’
Nivea later confirmed to Metro.co.uk that it would also be suspending ads from the channel, with a spokesperson saying: ‘Media buying algorithms mean our adverts are automatically allocated across a wide selection of channels often without our knowledge, which is what has taken place in this instance.
‘Typically, we would wait for a few months after a new channel or publication has launched before advertising with them, to ensure that they reflect the values we hold as a company. We have paused our advertising with GB News in line with this policy and will review this decision in three months.’
In its first two days, GB News hosted a discussion on Covid-19 restrictions with conservative pundit Megyn Kelly, while Rod Liddle spoke with Dan Wootton about England footballers taking the knee, calling the gesture a ‘vanity project’.
Harry Redknapp said he ‘was all for taking the knee’ but thinks it’s time to move on (Picture: GB News, Getty Images)
Harry Redknapp has suggested that England footballers should stop taking the knee before their matches, wondering ‘how long’ they’ll continue.
England players, such as Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling, briefly knelt before theirEuro 2020fixture against Croatia at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Footballers have been taking the knee as a stand against racism in sports and have often received boos for the gesture.
Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star Harry appeared on GB News’ The Great British Breakfast on Tuesday and said it was time to find another way to raise awareness on racial discrimination.
‘I just wonder now how long we keep going for. I just don’t know now whether it’s to make a point,’ Harry told presenters Kirsty Gallacher, Darren McCaffrey and Nana Akua.
‘Anything that can eradicate racism out of sport I’m all for it. I hate it when people boo it, it’s not a good way to start a football match. I think it’s totally wrong to do that.
‘I was all for it at the start but now I don’t know whether they look elsewhere to [campaign],’ he said.
Harry, 74, also addressed Denmark player Christian Eriksen’s collapse during the team’s Euro 2020 game against Finland. Eriksen, 29, received CPR on the pitch and was resuscitated before being rushed to hospital. He has since reassured fans that he is doing well and undergoing further examinations.

Speaking on TGBB, Harry said: ‘We’re so lucky for him that it happened at a stadium where help was at hand, that’s the scary thing.
‘I was at Tottenham when Maurice Muamba collapsed and luckily there was specialists in the stadium that saved his life.’
The former footballer continued: ‘If it happened anywhere else when [Eriksen] was out at the park or with the kids, who knows what would have happened.
‘We need to make sure we have the right equipment at hand when these things happen.’
On more of a light-hearted note, Harry later said that while he ‘fancies’ England to win their next match this Friday, he reckons Scotland will make it a ‘tight game’.
The Great British Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

The Queen loves Line of Duty just as much as us (Picture: Getty/BBC)
Line of Duty had the whole country hooked earlier this year as series six aired on BBC One – and it turns out even the Queen was tuning in to see AC-12 crack down on police corruption.
Show creator Jed Mercurio said he was ‘honoured’ following a new report in the Sunday Times, which states Lizzy is a huge fan.
Jed replied to a tweet from journalist Roya Nikkhah that read: ‘The Queen is a @Line_of_duty fan. During her toughest months, The Gaffer of Windsor Castle found distraction and entertainment tuning into @jed_mercurio’s saga of bent coppers starring @Vicky_McClure @martin_compston and Adrian Dunbar @thesundaytimes.’
‘We are honoured,’ Jed wrote in reply.
Many viewers will be pleased to know that when lockdown was at its strictest, and we were all looking to TV for an escape, even the Queen was tuning in to see the gang sucking diesel.
Now we know that the Queen is a Line of Duty fan, there’s only one thing for it – if Ted Hasings isn’t made a Sir on the New Year’s Honours list, there’ll be uproar.
Series seven of Line of Duty is yet to be confirmed but with the series six finale breaking records as the most watched episode of a drama in the 21st Century, it seems unlikely the thriller is over just yet.
The Me You Don’t See became available to watch on Apple TV+ recently, with a follow-up show due to be broadcast this Friday. In the series, Harry accused his family of neglecting his wife Meghan Markle and discussed the trauma of attending Princess Diana’s funeral as a child.
Line of Duty is available to watch on BBC One.

BBC Breakfast viewers have been left both shocked and impressed in equal measure as Dan Walker became ‘hostile’ with Michael Gove during today’s programme.
This comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson, 56, pushed the end of lockdown to July 19 at the earliest.
‘A point Labour has made is the reason we have had to keep these restrictions for another four weeks because the action wasn’t taken quickly enough to put India on the red list,’ Walker said.
‘The words that Jonathan Ashworth used was “instead of putting them on the red list, you rolled out the red carpet”.
‘Do you accept now that if you had worked more quickly with regards to your decision about India we wouldn’t be in this position?’
It was tense on BBC Breakfast this morning (Picture: BBC)
Gove replied: ‘Well Jonathan is a politician with the gift of the gab but the reality is we put India on the red list before Delta was a variant under investigation.
‘And well before it was a variant of concern and of course, we can only act on the information we have at the time.’
Walker wasn’t having it, as he continued to question why India wasn’t put on the red list earlier by the government.
Bangladesh and Pakistan were put on the red list on April 9. While India had a higher number of cases at the time, the country wasn’t added until April 23.
Walker went on to suggest that this was all linked to a potential trade deal with India, and Johnson’s priority was a photo opportunity rather than to protect the borders.
‘Boris Johnson wouldn’t put the health of the country at risk in that way. People who are peddling this line are trying to peddle a political point,’ Gove said.

Walker responded: ‘You say to look and the facts and the timelines, the point I was making to is is that India should have been on the red list earlier than it was.’
A back and forth continued before Walker, who had clearly had enough, ended the interview.
‘OK, I don’t want to go over the same ground again. You’ve tried to answer those questions and our audience will be able to make their minds up about that,’ he said.
Viewers heaped praise on Walker for how he handled the interview but were also outraged by what the cabinet minister had said.
Dan Walker skewering Gove. Nice to see someone actually prepared for the predictable lies. #BBCBreakfast
Dan Walker finally growing pair and taking Michael Gove to the task on delaying India being put on red list because of Dorisâ photo opportunity#BBCBreakfast#ToryIncompetence
Nice to see Dan Walker on @BBCBreakfast showing Michael Gove making up answers on why the Government failed utterly on putting India on the red list. Clearly, when presented by facts you just repeat the same line despite facts showing this is nonsense
The repeated lie by Gove on BBC breakfast- corrected by Dan Walker – is that India positivity rates were lower than Pakistan & Bangladesh. They weren’t. There’s no reason for not including India in the same red listing on 2nd April.
Gove is such a liar! Heâs on Breakfast lying his face off! Dan Walker is fantastic at pinning him down about the India variant!
— Proudbritð¬ð§ðªðº (@jv_uk2011) June 15, 2021
One viewer tweeted: ‘Well done Dan Walker. Gove exposed telling lies yet again. Anyone watching the news from India could see what was happening.’
Another added: ‘I like that Dan Walker went “hostile witness” on Gove; “…well viewers can draw their own conclusions…”‘
‘Dan Walker has upped his game over the last few weeks. Asking questions backed up by researched evidence. Michael Gove rattled,’ another person tweeted.
Another viewer said: ‘Dan Walker was brilliant at holding Gove to account this morning. Gove was reduced to lying throughout the whole interview.’
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.

Celebrity MasterChef’s Riyadh Khalaf became one of the first gay men to donate blood yesterday after historic new rules came into place this week.
New eligibility rules came into effect on World Blood Donor Day on Monday and mean that donors in England, Scotland and Wales will no longer be asked if they are a man who has had sex with another man.
Riyadh attended a blood donation centre and documented his experiences on last night’s episode of The One Show.
After eight minutes, the process was completed and Riyadh was elated.
‘What a great feeling,’ he enthused.
‘That felt amazing and today there’s a real feeling in the air that a discrimination has ended, that a wrong has been put right and it reminds me of the countless people that fought over the years for change like this to happen,’ Riyadh added.
‘There’s no question that now, I’m a blood donor for life.’
Honoured to be one of the first gay men to give blood under the new policy that no longer bans gay and bi men from donating unless they abstain from sex for 3 months. An outdated rule. Watch our film documenting this historic day on @BBCTheOneShow on BBC2 tonight from 7pm pic.twitter.com/RiS1LvC9aA
Riyadh, an Irish-Iraqi broadcaster and internet personality, won last year’s series of Celebrity MasterChef.
He fought off competition from 19 other famous faces during the 2020 edition of the BBC One series and beat two Olympic gold medalists – rower Sir Matthew Pinsent and hockey player Sam Quek – in the final.
NHS Blood and Transplant has said any individual who attends to give blood regardless of gender will be asked if they have had sex and, if so, about recent sexual behaviours.
Anyone who has had the same sexual partner for the last three months will be eligible to donate, meaning more gay and bisexual men will be able to donate blood, platelets and plasma while keeping blood just as safe, it added.
Riyadh was overjoyed at being able to give blood (Picture: BBC)
The changes to the donor safety check form will affect blood, plasma and platelet donors but the process of giving blood will not change.
Eligibility will be based on individual circumstances surrounding health, travel and sexual behaviours shown to be at a higher risk of sexual infection, NHS Blood and Transplant added.
Under the changes people can donate if they have had the same sexual partner for the last three months, or if they have a new sexual partner with whom they have not had anal sex and there is no known recent exposure to a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or recent use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) or post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
Anyone who has had anal sex with a new partner or with multiple partners in the last three months will be not be able to give blood but may be eligible in the future, it said.
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.

Could Tommy Jessop be donning his dancing shoes? (Picture: BBC/Getty)
Line of Duty star Tommy Jessop has sparked speculation that he may be starring on the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing after quoting Sir Bruce Forsyth while revealing that he’s spending his day ‘dancing’.
It may be a while to go until the upcoming series of Strictly hits our screens later this year on BBC One.
Nonetheless, speculation is rife over who will be announced among the celebrity lineup, with stars including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz and Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn predicted as being potential contenders.
In a new tweet, Tommy, who recently reprised his role as Terry Boyle in the sixth series of Line of Duty, told his followers that he was going to be dancing ‘on Zoom’ today.
‘I’ll just say dancing today! (Just on zoom in my room). Yay!’ the 36-year-old wrote.
He then added: ‘In the words of #BruceForsyth #KeepDancing!’
Iâll just say Dancing today! (Just on zoom In my room) Yay! In the words of #BruceForsyth#KeepDancing!â
Could this be a hint that Tommy is doing Strictly rehearsals over Zoom?
While it’s too soon to say for sure… that mention of the late Sir Bruce has us thinking it’s a possibility.
Tommy has past experience in dance, having had a short dance residency at the Royal Opera House with Culture Device.

He also led a 21-hour danceathon in 2019 celebrating people with Down syndrome to mark World Down Syndrome Day on March 21.
Over the weekend, Selling Sunset’s Christine set tongues wagging when she tweeted that she was on her way to the UK in a few months for a ‘big surprise’, with some assuming she was teasing a Strictly stint.
The 32-year-old real estate agent, who recently gave birth to her first child, wrote on Twitter: ‘PASSPORT IN HAND! I’m so excited to announce I will be coming to the UK in September for a big surprise!

‘I can’t wait to share more soon, but I look forward to finally meeting you guys!’
It was recently announced that Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Janette Manrara will no longer dance on the show as she’s going to be taking over Zoe Ball’s role as a presenter on It Takes Two.
Speaking on The One Show, she said: ‘I will not be dancing. I don’t want to well up because I have been welling up a lot today, but that has been the hardest part of accepting this amazing honour to join It Takes Two.
‘It’s the realisation that I will not be on that legendary Strictly dancefloor any more. But I feel that this is most beautiful and natural progression.
‘I am still a part of the Strictly family, I am still going to be seeing my fellow pros all the time and I will keep dancing, as they say. I will find a way to keep dancing.’
Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.

The former Good Morning Britain star appeared on Fox News in an interview with Sean Hannity when the inevitable question of the pair came up.
Only last week he was wishing the royals ‘every success’ as they welcomed their daughter, Lilibet Diana, however this week he was back at it as he told the pair to ‘stop their yapping’.
Piers said: ‘I think it’s time those two gave up their titles, stopped whining 24/7, and tried to take a leaf out of the book of the Queen, whose nickname Lilibet they’ve hijacked for their daughter.
‘Take a little tip from the Queen: less is more. If you want to be a royal, a member of the Royal Family, less is more.
‘We are hearing too much of your yapping, too much of your whining, it’s time to pipe down.’
These two are still a sore subject for Piers, it seems (Picture: AFP)
He went on: ‘These two want to have their royal cake and eat it. They’re very happy to trade off their royal titles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, when it comes to negotiating hundreds of millions of dollars with companies like Spotify and Netflix.
‘But at the same time they want the right to trash the Royal Family and the monarchy, and therefore the Queen, who’s the head of the monarchy, on global television repeatedly now. They keep doing this.
‘I think it’s sickening to people over here in the UK. We’ve just seen the Queen with the American president, Joe Biden, and you can see what a magnificent lady she is.’
Piers spoke with Sean Hannity on Monday (Picture: Fox)
‘It seems to me that Meghan and Harry don’t even understand the concept of duty. It is rankly hypocritical and I think it sticks in people’s gullets over here.’
His return to lashing out at the couple comes after Piers refused to put a ‘negative slant’ on the sweet news of their new baby – which came after he’d done an interview with 60 Minutes Australia which heavily focused on their row.
In fact, Piers went so far to wish them ‘every success’.
He told Today’s Karl Stefanovic on Today: ‘It’s quite ironic isn’t it. You have this couple who have been trashing the Royal Family and the monarchy for the last few weeks and they’ve named the baby after the Queen. She is the head of the Royal Family and the head of the monarchy.
‘Maybe it’s their way of reaching out, as the Americans say, to the royals and wanting some kind of end to this on-running feud.’
He then shared his support for the parents, adding: ‘I always think when a new baby is born – I’ve had four myself – it’s very churlish to put any negative slant at such a moment.
‘I wish them all the very best. There is four in the family now. I wish them every success and a long and happy life.’
When asked by Allison Langdon: ‘So you like Meghan now?’ he quipped: ‘Let’s not go too far. I like her as much as she likes me.’

The Who’s Roger Daltrey didn’t hold back his feelings on ‘woke’ culture as he joined Dan Wootton on GB News on Monday night.
The frontman made an appearance on Dan’s second show on the new channel, following Lord Alan Sugar’s guest spot during its debut over the weekend.
When pressed for his opinion on woke Britain, Roger responded: ‘I just feel, where’s humour? If you’re going to micromanage every emotion you ever have and you live in fear of upsetting someone or being objectionable.
‘We all have the right to be objectionable to anyone we meet.
‘If you’re offended, fine. Get over it. Get a life and move on.’
Viewers had a lot to say about Roger’s comments, with one slamming: ‘I always found him repulsive. And if that’s a taste of what that channel has to offer, I’m glad I had already decided to avoid it. Ughs all-round.’
Roger Daltrey joined Dan Wootton on GB News (Picture: GB News)
Taking an ironic swipe and referring to The Who’s ‘stick it to the man’ ethos, another wrote: ‘Old people still trying to put the young generation down, it seems. He could sing a song about that.’
GB News launched on Sunday and was plagued by technical difficulties just minutes into its debut, with Andrew Neil forced to salvage a chaotic interview that viewers were struggling to hear.
Andrew also promised the channel will ‘expose the growing promotion of cancel culture’ and give a voice ‘to those who feel sidelined or silenced’ as he launched the network with a one-hour special.
The channel, positioned as a rival to the news and current affairs offerings of the likes of BBC and Sky, opened with Welcome To GB News – an hour-long introduction to the presenting line-up.

The Talk was pulled off the air while an investigation was carried out, and during the break, Sharon decided to quit.
This week the CBS talk show announced it has been renewed for another season.
‘JUST ANNOUNCED! #TheTalk has been officially renewed for another year on @CBS returning for a 12th season in 2021-2022! More fun, more topics, more talk!,’ a Twitter post read.

Sharon was the last original cast member of the series remaining, having joined the show in 2010 alongside Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Holly Robinson Peete.
Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth now take up the panel show’s seats.
A replacement for Sharon has not yet been revealed by either CBS or The Talk but according to The Sun, the network is in talks with Jerry O’Connell to replace her as permanent host.
The publication has said show bosses are in ‘final negotiations’ to bring the actor on board permanently after he co-hosted for The Talk’s Men of May special.
Sharon’s former co-stars are said to be keen to have a Latina star on the panel, with a source saying: ‘That door should be opened. It’s time for a Latina voice to have a platform.’
Jerry O’Connell could soon join the cast permanently (Picture: Getty Images)
However the insider confessed: ‘The truth is that no one can replace Mrs O. Sharon was the centrepiece of the show.’
In a statement released by CBS, it said that Sharon decided herself to leave the show amid backlash from viewers over the heated discussion between Sharon and Sheryl earlier this year.
Referencing the episode, CBS said: ‘The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home.
‘As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.
‘We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.’
The Talk will return later in the year.

Some of the Big Bang Theory cameos weren’t as fun to film as they were to watch (Picture: Getty)
Kaley Cuoco has spoken about her time filming the Big Bang Theory, revealing that some guest stars struggled to film in front of a live audience.
A huge number of celebs made cameos on the show over the years – Charlie Sheen, George Takei, Stan Lee, Bill Gates, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Elon Musk, Buzz Aldrin, Billy Bob Thornton, Stephen Hawking, James Earl Jones, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher to list just a few.
But it sounds like some of them didn’t have the easiest of times on the hugely popular comedy, with a number struggling with the intensity of filming.
Speaking to Elisabeth Olsen in Actors on Actors interview for Variety, Kaley asked Elisabeth if she’d ever acted in a sitcom before the genre-bending MCU series WandaVision.
After Elisabeth said that she hadn’t and admitted that she found filming in front of fans daunting, Kaley said that some Big Bang Theory guest stars – without naming any names – also had the same issue.
‘Obviously, my whole life is sitcom,’ Kaley said. ‘Especially with Big Bang, ‘cos the cast was like (go go go go go), there was no gap.’
She added: ‘We’d have these guest stars come on, and some of them were wonderful dramatic actors or whatever, and they would feel so lost for a while. It really is so musical, and you find if you’re one second (out) it can mess up a whole thing.’
Kaley went on to say: ‘Because I grew up with it, and I did it for so long, it’s been so natural for me. But I started to see, “This is hard for some people, to find their footing with the audience”. It’s very different if you haven’t done it.’

Kaley starred as actor-turned-pharmaceuticals rep Penny in 12 seasons of the hit TV show, which revolved around a group of Caltech scientists in various fields, including theoretical physics.
All episodes of The Big Bang Theory are available to stream on Netflix now.

Coleen Nolan has slammed the government for extending lockdown restrictions, revealing that she’s completely lost faith.
Today’s Loose Women panel – which also included Ruth Langsford, Frankie Bridge and Jane Moore – discussed Boris Johnson delaying England’s ‘freedom day’ by one month.
It is hoped that the four-week delay will buy the country more time to tackle the sharp rise in cases of the Delta variant to ensure that when measures lift they are ‘irreversible’.
Coleen was quick to criticise the government for making the decision.
‘I just don’t trust them anymore…I’ve always been on Boris’ side when everyone’s been having a go I’ve been like, “He’s doing his best, they don’t know what they’re dealing with, I’d hate to be in his shoes”,’ she said.

‘But now I don’t trust you because you keep changing the narrative and keep changing the goalposts.’
She went on to say that the government has flip-flopped when it comes to their approach to coronavirus.
‘[They once said] once we get the elderly and the most vulnerable we can start relaxing, we don’t need to worry about the young people…It’s just something different every time and I’m fed up with it.’
Coleen told the panel that her son, Shane Junior, had lost 22 gigs within 20 minutes of the announcement. This is a major blow financially for him, especially as he’s getting married next year.

She added: ‘No one seems to care about that really.’
Jane said that even though it doesn’t affect her personally, she agreed it was ‘a bit of a let down’.
‘For me it doesn’t make much difference but I’m not getting married, I haven’t just rearranged my wedding for the second or third time,’ she said.
‘I don’t work for hospitality, I don’t work for travel, I don’t work for entertainment. Obviously, we’ve all been working but for theatres I mean. So for all of those people, it’s absolutely devastating news and the logic of it I’m still not sure about.’
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

In scenes that would bring a tear to anyone’s eye, Stephen Colbert got emotional as he welcomed back a live audience for the first time in 15 months.
We’re starting to see the return of actual people to sets now, and the host of The Late Show had been filming his pandemic-era episodes from a storage room after the world was plunged into lockdown in March last year, but that seemed to make the return to his old set all the sweeter on Monday.
Greeting a screaming and cheering audience this week, Stephen was overcome with emotion as he embraced bandleader and musical director Jon Batiste and reacted to the raucous applause from those who’d gathered to watch this taping.
The audience was made up of vaccinated punters keen to herald the return to live crowds once more in the Ed Sullivan Theater which can seat over 400. Masks were optional as they were heard cheering ‘Ste-phen! Ste-phen’ while the host attempted to quiet them down for his cold open.
As the host proceeded to start his programme, he adjusted his glasses and looked at the ground as he really took in the moment and regained his composure.
He said: ‘So how you been? It’s great to be back. We never really left. But we certainly weren’t here. This is a slightly different energy than the converted storage room eight floors above us, as lovely as that was.’

Joking he’d replaced the ‘applause’ signs for the audience with ones that read: ‘Remember how to applaud,’ he added: ‘I don’t know if I even remember how to pander to the most beautiful crowd in the world.’
Those watching also couldn’t help but notice how raw and powerful the intro was, with BBC’s Scott Bryan sharing the clip on Twitter and adding: ‘Stephen Colbert returned with a (vaccinated) audience for the first time in 15 months last night and it’s really quite emotional.’
Another wrote: ‘I just got stupid emotional seeing Stephen Colbert doing his first monologue to a fully vaccinated audience back in the Ed Sullivan theatre.’
Stephen was joined comedian Dana Carvey who appeared as President Joe Biden, while former Daily Show host Jon Stewart dropped by and exclaimed: ‘There’s nothing I wanted to do more than breathe everyone’s air.’
He also brought out his wife Evelyn McGee-Colbert, who, amid the pandemic, was Stephen’s only live audience member.
She told the buzzing crowd: ‘Audience, he’s all yours now. And don’t forget to laugh because he really needs it.’
Michelle has a prime time evening show on GB News (Picture: Ian Forsyth/Getty Images)
A viewer watching Michelle Dewberry on GB News made a NSFW comparison about the presenter’s top on the news channel… prompting a light-hearted reply from the former Apprentice star.
On Sunday night, Andrew Neil’s GB News officially launched, with the chairman delivering an opening monologue vowing to ‘expose’ the ‘growing promotion of cancel culture for the threat to free speech and democracy that it is’.
On Twitter, one viewer shared a picture of Michelle presenting on the channel wearing a white top with two buttoned pockets on the front, which several other viewers agreed looked like something else at a glance.
‘This top was a poor choice,’ the Twitter user cheekily wrote, alongside an eyes emoji.
Fortunately, Michelle took the NSFW comparison in good humour, replying with a couple of cry-laughing emojis.

Luckily, Michelle saw the funny side of the situation (Picture: Twitter)
After realising that they had caught Michelle’s attention, the Twitter user apologised for their post, expressing their awkwardness with emojis including the monkey covering their eyes and the grimacing face.
Michelle emphasised that there was no harm done, tweeting: ‘Lol, I very rarely take offence don’t worry. The tweet made me laugh.’
One Twitter user commented on the original post, writing: ‘I’m watching this now, didn’t notice. Now it’s all I see.’
‘Hahaha I really had to look at that photo twice!’ another remarked.
Michelle’s GB News show, Dewbs and Co, sees the ‘plain-speaking, straight-talking’ presenter deliver ‘her individual take on the day’s news’.

Although GB News already counts many viewers as fans, others have accused the channel of promoting ‘right wing propaganda’.
Some critics called for a boycott of the companies that advertised on GB News, including Facebook, Ikea, Boots and Kellogg’s.
Swedish alcohol brand Kopparberg claimed that it was not aware their advert was shown on GB News, releasing a statement that read: ‘Kopparberg is a drink for everyone and we have immediately suspended our ads from this channel pending further review of its content.’
Dewbs and Co airs weeknights on GB News at 6pm.

Elektra Shock has opened up on the bitchiness of Drag Race Down Under (Picture: BBC)
RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under’s Elektra Shock has said that the bitchiness on the show was sometimes so hard to take that she’d go back to the hotel room and cry after filming.
The New Zealand-based drag queen became the latest star to be eliminated from the competition just one episode before the final, leaving Art Simone, Karen From Finance, Kita Mean and Scarlet Adams to battle it out to be crowned the first winner.
Since the show began airing in May, the fandom has picked up on the overt level of shade between the contestants and Elektra – real name James Luck – confirmed to Metro.co.uk that it was ‘very’ bitchy.
‘I think especially for me, being very aware of what I look like, to have all of these beautiful drag queens to be like, “you’re sh*t”, was very tough,’ she told us.
‘The fandom loves drama, they love a bit of shade and we want to do that too, we’re not shying away from having conversations or telling people what we really think when we’re there.’
But the critiques did become hard for Elektra to deal with and ate away at her.
Elektra believes the focus of the show should be to raise each other up (Picture: BBC)
‘I would put on a brave face and then I would go to my hotel room and cry,’ she recalled. ‘You start to give up. And that’s not what you want when you’re competing for one of the biggest prizes.
‘It was hard and it brought up a lot of stuff that I thought wasn’t relevant to Drag Race and wasn’t relevant to what I was trying to do or what I was trying to become and made me deal with James’s issues.’
However, Elektra said that eventually enough was enough and she was able to channel the critiques into becoming an ‘unstoppable underdog’.
‘I believed it for the first three weeks of the competition and then I just thought, no, f*ck this, RuPaul saw something in me,’ she said. ‘It might not have been my wigs, it might not have been my make-up, it might not have been my costumes, but there’s something in me that deserves to be here so I’m just going to start backing that person.
‘What was amazing about going through that sh*t was being able to apply it to Elektra,’ she said. ‘I feel like a different queen now.’
Elektra stressed that by no means is she throwing the other queens under the bus by being forthright with her experiences of the shadiness of Drag Race Down Under.
‘I don’t think that they’re horrible,’ she highlighted. ‘Drag Race makes you do crazy, crazy things.
‘Shade is funny and a bit of bitchiness on the show is fabulous, we love a fight, but we are, at the end of the day, a community of people who need to help, uplift and support each other.
‘That should be the focus.’
Drag Race Down Under airs every Sunday on BBC iPlayer.

Now, Piers has spoken to Fox News host Sean Hannity and teased his return to TV.
‘Well, I’m definitely having some very interesting conversations Sean, as you can probably imagine,’ he said.
‘There are lots of people that wouldn’t mind a piece of the action with somebody who trebled the ratings on that morning show in five years which is what we did.’
Speaking about his exit from Good Morning Britain, Piers said: ‘There was a weird surreal kind of day on the day I left where, having reached a ratings high, normally you would get invited to a board room and presented with a carriage clock but I got invited to either apologise to Meghan Markle for disbelieving her or leave the building so I decided to leave the building.’

While he wouldn’t name names, Piers claimed a ‘third-party’ had reached out to see if he would consider a return to the network’s flagship program, which is yet to announce a permanent replacement for him.
Piers said at the time: ‘I have had some quite random third-party feelers put out to see if I would consider a return to the show. I don’t want to say on the record who, but a pretty close third-party . . .

‘As the Americans say, they reached out — there have been approaches to test the water in the wake of their obvious ratings issues.
‘It makes me sad to see all the hard work we did to beat the BBC in viewing numbers evaporate so fast. It’s their problem to work out . . . but never say never.’

Prince William made scathing remarks after report findings were published (Picture: Rex)
BBC chief Tim Davie has said that royals’ criticism of the Princess Diana Panorama interview conducted by Martin Bashir was a ‘sad day’ for the broadcaster.
In May, the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex spoke out following the publication of Lord Dyson’s findings of his investigation into how the BBC secured its 1995 Panorama interview with the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
After it was concluded that Bashir used ‘deceitful behaviour’ and was in ‘serious breach’ of the BBC’s producer guidelines by showing fake bank statements to Earl Spencer, Prince William said in a statement that he was left with ‘indescribable sadness to know that the BBC’s failures contributed significantly to her fear, paranoia, and isolation’.
In a separate statement about their mother, Prince Harry said that ‘the ripple effect of a culture of exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took her life’.
On Tuesday June 15, Davie – who became director-general of the BBC in September 2020 – appeared alongside BBC chairman Richard Sharp in front of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee to give evidence on the implications of Lord Dyson’s report findings.
Speaking about the royals’ criticism of the interview, Davie said: ‘It was upsetting, and it was a sad day.’
‘Primarily I felt deep sympathy for the sons of Princess Diana and as you know we have offered an unconditional apology and that was the primary thing in my mind,’ he said.
‘For us as an institution that cares so deeply and has an outstanding record of journalistic integrity, it was a very low moment for us.’
When asked whether he has spoken to the royal brothers since the publication of the investigation’s findings, Davie said that he has ‘engaged with the royal household directly’.
He added: ‘I do think it’s appropriate as to who was in meetings and exactly who I talked to, they were private and confidential meetings.
‘So I think I will leave it to the royal household in terms of if they want to say anything on that, but I have talked directly to the royal household.’
Davie was also questioned over why Bashir was rehired by the BBC in 2016 as religious affairs correspondent, after he left the company in 1999.

The BBC boss said that while the interviewees were aware of ‘some of the controversies’ surrounding the journalist, they ‘did not see them as substantive enough to block a re-hiring or stop them’.
Nonetheless, he added that ‘with what I know now’, the re-hiring of Bashir ‘would never have been made’.
Davie also said that he was ‘not aware of any guidelines’ at the BBC regarding the faking of documents.
Following the publication of Lord Dyson’s investigation, Bashir apologised to the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex, saying that he ‘never wanted to harm Diana in any way and I don’t believe we did’.
Telling the Sunday Times that he was ‘deeply sorry’ to Princes William and Harry, he said: ‘Everything we did in terms of the interview was as she wanted, from when she wanted to alert the palace, to when it was broadcast, to its contents … My family and I loved her.’
