We all know Diane Carson had one fizzy rosé too many on The Traitors, but how much do the contestants actually drink?
To us outsiders, it appears as soon as the night falls the wine comes out but according to one contestant that isn’t actually true.
The Traitors series one winner Meryl Williams previously spilled all (no pun intended) during a Q&A on TikTok, revealing secrets we’ve been gagging for.
Obviously, in the last series, we’d love to have imagined Diane keeping her faithfuls up all night because if ever there was a Lambrini girl who loves to have fun, it’s her – but sadly that’s not the case.
Dispelling the myth that The Traitors contestants get on the lash at Ardross Castle after every roundtable, Meryl said: ‘No we didn’t, we didn’t get to drink alcohol every night.
‘We only got it every couple of nights, and it was rationed, not rationed but we got like one glass or two glasses each.
‘We couldn’t literally have a whole bottle to ourselves.’

The ultimate hun of The Traitors and ‘mother of the gays’ let slip that she had one of the worst hangovers of her life during her last day of filming when she had to lie in a coffin which closed on her when host Claudia Winkleman confirmed she was the next faithful to be murdered.
The traitors were tasked with giving a poisoned chalice to the faithful they wanted to murder next, which was Diane, who leapt at the chance to have a sip of vino.
The third series of the reality show begins on BBC tonight, so hopefully the cast can provide some equally iconic moments (with or without wine). Viewers already think they’ve sussed out who is the ‘next Diane’.
