Grayson Perry’s Dream House had viewers captivated with its brilliance.
The Channel 4 show saw artist Perry create a house in tribute to the people he grew up with, his homeland of Essex, and Essex women.
Finding a site in the village of Wrabness, he pulled down the old farm house there and begane his creation.
Perry has previously described the house as ‘a monument to thwarted female intelligence’ that will tell the story of the Essex woman.
He named it Julie after a fictional Essex woman called Julie Cope, a ‘hippie’ who led a normal life but died in an accident at the age of 61.
