Matt LeBlanc has revealed he was so ‘burnt out’ after Friends ended that he barely left his home for years.
The actor, who has just landed the role of co-presenter on Top Gear, has always been candid about his troubled private life.
Now the 48-year-old claims that post-2004 he shied away the limelight, leaving his agent at a very loose end – and that he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
Matt told The Mirror: ‘For years and years, I barely left the house. I was burnt out. I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere. I was in a position to do that.
‘My agent was bummed. Most actors call their agents and say, “What’s going on?”. I’d call mine and say, “Please lose my number for a few years”. It was a very dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown.’
