The next series of crime drama Bones will be its last.
US network Fox confirms that the long-running show starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel is ending in 2017.
The announcement was made after much speculation about the future of the series, which began in 2005.
David and Emily, who play FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth and forensic anthropologist Temperance ‘Bones’ Brennan respectively, were only contracted for 11 seasons, but have agreed to reprise their roles for the 12th and final series (which will consist of 12 episodes).
