The Graham Norton Show have announced that Ricky Gervais and Sir Patrick Stewart will be appearing on the new quarantine-friendly version of the series in wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
The beloved BBC chat show has been forced to adapt in the wake of the social-distancing guidelines, with stars calling in from home to chat with the Irish host.
Ricky will be appearing on the show to discuss the second season of Netflix series, After Life, which has him return as the grieving Tony as he adjusts to living without his wife, Lisa (Kerry Godliman).
Sir Patrick, who has been reading Shakespeare sonnets every day to mark the UK-wide lockdown, will be appearing to chat all things Star Trek: Picard following the season one finale two weeks ago.
They’ll be joined by Westworld star Thandie Newton, who plays Maeve on the sci-fi series, as the third season of the show continues to grip audiences with its mesh of a dystopian and robotic future.
Graham’s series, which usually films weekly, is one of many shows forced to adapt in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, with some audience shows having to be axed completely until government rulings change.
The Great British Bake Off has been postponed until further notice as it was unable to film, and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway was filmed without an audience.
The Graham Norton Show launched its newly adapted version of the series last week, with Michael Sheen calling in to promote Quiz, in which he plays Chris Tarrant.
Graham even managed to get his name right, which is more than can be said for the announcer on the ITV advert, who called him Martin Sheen instead.
(For clarification, no, the British actor and Charlie Sheen’s dad are not one and the same.)
The Graham Norton Show airs Friday at 10.35pm on BBC One.
