Shayne Ward joins Coronation Street as Michelle’s cousin Aidan Connor this summer but dishing the dirt on his upcoming storylines, he revealed he was originally turned down from the ITV soap.
Shayne will be joining as Aidan, a distant cousin of Michelle’s who gets a call telling him Carla, who lived on the same estate as Michelle and him, is in trouble and needs some help at the factory.
But while he kept tight-lipped on his role, he revealed he had originally auditioned for the role of Robert Preston, the returning ex-husband of Tracey Barlow.
