Tim Wonnacott exits Bargain Hunt after 12 years on the daytime show

Tim Wonnacott has left BBC daytime favourite Bargain Hunt after 12 years and around 1,200 editions of the show.

The BBC confirmed news of his departure in a statement, which came after claims made earlier this year that he had been suspended from the show amid a clash with producers.

He will continue working on BBC Two show Antiques Road Trip – which he narrates – as well as other projects.

Viewers will remember that the shady builder drvoe Anna and Owen to despair when he blackmailed the well meaning mum into sleeping with him. As revenge, Gary Windass attacked him and left him for dead at the builder’s yard.

Phelan’s sleazy scheming was the beginning of the end for Anna and Owen. Despite the fact that they stayed together, their relationship was strained until the end.

Chas Dingle stabbed Diane Sugden at around 7.25pm on tonight’s Emmerdale and everyone was a bit taken aback.

It’s fair to say Chas has been having a few problems of late, and she’s been doing some weird stuff whilst sleep-walking.

But stabbing Diane at the back of the pub? Surely that’s a bit much – especially that early in the evening.

It’s enough to put you off your giant Yorkshire pudding.

This all came about after Piers posted a photo of himself online looking like a ‘drug baron’ – and apparently Lorraine tweeted that it was an ‘alluring’ style.

The youngster stormed to victory with professional Derek Hough, beating Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Army National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos.

Simon Cowell is doing his best to make sure this year’s X Factor final goes out with a bang.

The TV guru has reportedly signed up Coldplay and One Direction as the special music guests for the show’s finale – and is doing his best to lure Adele.

A source told The Daily Mirror: ‘Coldplay are a huge act, and this will be a key performance.
