Eight years after stealing an entire US election cycle with their parodies of Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were back on SNL to do it once again.

The former Saturday Night Live stars were guest hosts of the latest episode, in which one of the skits called ‘The Ghosts of Elections Past’ saw Amy return as 2008’s Hillary opposite 2015’s Hillary, now played by Kate McKinnon.

In the skit 2015 Hillary settles into bed for the night safe in the knowledge that she nearly has the Democratic nomination locked up.

But then she’s awakened by 2008 Hillary who warns her not to get too cocky, as in 2008, ‘someone named Barack Obama stumbled out of a soup kitchen with a basketball and a cigarette and stole my life’.

The pair then riffed on the changes that have happened in eight years – ‘who’s Benghazi?’… Read the full story

The actress, who plays Sister Joan, feels that because there aren’t ‘big titties’ on Call The Midwife, other shows get more attention.

She told The Daily Star that Matthew Crawley’s temporary paralysis storyline was the start of her issues with the ITV drama.

When Barack Obama isn’t busy running America, he sometimes takes time out to test his survival skills on TV shows.

The US president appeared Bear Goes Wild With Barack Obama tonight and showed us that he’s a normal bloke just like the rest of us i.e. he has his limits when it comes to drinking his own urine and isn’t very good with smartphones.

Politely declining a sip of his own pee, he said: ‘I suppose, in extremis, it’s something that I would do – if the alternative was death. It’s not something I’d make a habit of. And I probably wouldn’t do it just… Read the full story

2015 certainly gave us plenty of telly talking moments.

Whether it was another life-threatening disaster in the world of soap, a mouth-watering bit of Great British baking or The Walking Dead making us believe someone popular had been mauled to death, there was something that got everyone talking this year.

Reality TV saw plenty of controversial action too. Perez Hilton created more than a bit of drama on Celebrity Big Brother, while I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! gave us Lady Colin Campbell and made Fearne McCann gobble a live spider.

With 2016 around the corner (and plenty of brilliant, new TV shows to go with it), test your… Read the full story

After first the nail-biting excitement and then the frustrating wheel-spinning of its last two episodes, Homeland kicked back into top gear with its finest hour of this series and one of its best ever.
