He might be Lord Sugar’s business partner but someone should probably teach Joseph Valente how to use Twitter.

Unless, of course, he meant to congratulate himself for winning the BBC show.

A tweet was sent from the 25-year-old’s account reading: ‘Congratulations Apprentice winner @mrjospehvalente, for Representing the Plumbing & Heating industry in a positive light. Good Luck!’

Jeremy Vine’s mention of ‘man flu’ wasn’t popular with everybody. (Picture: PA)

Jeremy Vine found himself in a spot of bother earlier this week after his use of the phrase ‘man flu’ on his radio show left one listener seeing red.

The presenter and recent Strictly star made the remark during an interview on his Radio 2 show with Dr Sarah Jarvis, during an item about Victorian ailments.

He referred to having ‘man flu’ after telling the GP – while discussing whooping cough – that he had suffered a persistent cough at night after falling ill a few days earlier.

But it all proved too much for one person tuned in to… Read the full story

Marnie Simpson has had a thing with all three members of the buck squad (Gaz, Scotty T and Aaron) during her five series on Geordie Shore.

But with the raven-haired beauty throwing in the towel in the season 11 finale following a proposal from her then-boyfriend Ricky Rayment, it seems Aaron in particular is struggling to come to terms with their loss.

The final episode of Luther (ever?) went out with a bang – and a Star Wars reference.

Writer Neil Cross somehow managed to squeeze in a cheeky reference to the sci-fi film franchise – a tiny spot of light relief in an oasis of gritty, bone-chilling drama.

DCI John Luther (Idris Elba) was seen in tonight’s episode, the finale of a two-part special – asking DS Emma Lane (Rose Leslie) to look into the investigation of a dangerous, cannibalistic killer.

She replied: ‘Cut the chatter, Red 2. Accelerate to attack speed.’

Geordie Shore favourites Gary Beadle and Charlotte Crosby have grown increasingly close in recent weeks and appear to be making a go of their relationship in the real world at long last.

The Celebrity Big Brother house might just have secured its most expensive signing yet – in the shape of David Gest.

The larger-than-life American personality, and ex-husband of Liza Minnelli – who appeared in the 2006 series of I’m A Celebrity – has reportedly negotiated a deal for $1m (£600,000) to join the house when the show returns to Channel 5 on January 5.

Which, according to a source close to the show, makes him one of the highest paid stars ever to walk through those famous doors – and one whom producers were ‘desperate’… Read the full story

While the concluding episode of Luther might have had viewers on the edge of their seats, it wasn’t just the tension and suspense that some people noticed.

Because, it seems, a number of eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help thinking that one of the houses broken in to by the killer looked a tad familiar – in that they’d already spotted it in that other BBC thriller River.

Christmas is around the corner, so no doubt you’ll be after stuff to veg out in front of after your turkey.

If Netflix – the UK version – is going to be your port of call, you’ve only got days left before the next lot of movies and TV shows get yanked.

Animation Free Birds and the lukewarm Princess Diana biopic Diana are being taken away on December 24, according to New On Netflix, we doubt either of those will be a particularly big loss.

We can pretty much guess that out of all the main Friends characters, Joey Tribbiani got the most action in bed.

And in total, Joey (Matt Le Blanc), Monica (Courteney Cox), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Ross (David Schwimmer), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) managed to bed 120 people between them. Good effort, guys.

But can you guess who bedded the least in the full… Read the full story
