From meh to yaaaas, all the Drag Race season 11 queens ranked after episode four

We’ve got our season 11 Rusical (Picture: VH1

After the absolute lunacy of last week’s episode, the fourth episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race was always going to struggle to reach those dizzying heights.

But thanks to Tiffany Pollard, we made it through with some main stage quotes for the ages. Honestly, when I die, etch ‘I’ve always had a fantasy of sitting on Rosie O’Donnell’s face, but tonight, Rosie O’Donnell wasn’t present because I kept my legs closed the whole time you performed’ into my gravestone.

We also saw the return of some middling queens to the top and some stellar orange runway looks – as well as some rather excellent rip-offs of the Grease soundtrack.

So, after ranking the season 11 queens in week one, week two and week three, we’re taking a no holds barred look at week four.

12. Mercedes Iman Diamond

Mercedes Iman Diamond Drag Race

Oh, Mercedes, babes. She’s obviously a really sweet queen, and her opening up about her Muslim faith was a nice moment for the show. But in the lip sync, Ra’Jah was leaps and bounds ahead of her competitor. Despite her having her actual words down, her performance just wasn’t up to scratch – and in the Rusical, we got absolutely no Ivanka from her portrayal of Trump’s daughter.

Plus, a bodysuit for the fourth week in a row? We’re surprised Michelle’s head didn’t explode.

11. Ariel Versace

Ariel Versace Drag Race
Ariel Versace (Picture: VH1)

Ariel practised really hard after having an absolute ‘mare in rehearsals, and she really got her s*** together. But for me, her performance as Shandy was just… meh. Neither here nor there.

And while she undoubtedly looked beautiful on the runway, I couldn’t remember her look after the show ended.

I was rather surprised that Ariel ended up as safe this week, so I hope she pulls something special out of the bag next week.

10. Plastique Tiara

Plastique Tiara Drag Race
Plastique Tiara (Picture: VH1)

Also on the meh side of things was Miss Plastique. She actually had her Melania mannerisms down, but it wasn’t that funny.

Considering we’ve seen how well Melania can be done on Drag Race – take a bow, Aquaria – it just fell a bit flat.

She looked stunning, as to be expected, on the main stage, but pretty isn’t enough to rocket you to the top of the ratings.

9. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo

Vanessa Vanjie Mateo Drag Race
Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (Picture: VH1)

I was not expecting for Miss Vanjie to fall so much, but we know she’s a pro at walking backwards.

Her Rosie O’Donnell was energetic and full of enthusiasm, but as Ross Mathews said, it was ‘Rosie No-Donnell’ – Vanjie could have been playing anybody with a pixie crop.

If her runway look hadn’t been so drop dead gorgeous – yessss, carnival queen – I fear Vanjie could have faced the chop, and I just can’t put myself through that yet.

8. Ra’Jah O’Hara

Ra'jah D O'Hara Drag Race
Ra’Jah D O’Hara (Picture: VH1)

OK, I do think that Ra’Jah deserved to be in the bottom two, as her Omarosa fell flatter than her wig last week.

But she has been bumped up the rankings thanks to her epic lip sync to James Brown’s Living in America. We very rarely get a male-performed song for a lip sync battle (the last that rings in my head is You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) by Sylvester) but it worked so well. Ra’Jah gave her best James Brown swag and had the tricky shout out lyrics on lock.

That’s how you do a lip sync, people.

7. Shuga Cain

Shuga Cain Drag Race
Shuga Cain (Picture: VH1)

I wasn’t that impressed by Shuga Cain’s Hillary Clinton, but that runway was brilliant. Tangerine face for the orange alert challenge? Pussy-grabbing? A Ziplock bag of Cheetos? Sublime.

Also, I want a blue sequinned suit. Where might I get me that outfit?

Here’s hoping Shuga embraces this comedic side more, that’s where she truly shines.

6. A’Keria C Davenport

A'Keria C Davenport Drag Race
A’Keria C Davenport (Picture: VH1)

Stormy Daniels is an icon, and A’Keria did a decent job of portraying her in the challenge. Maybe the outfit helped, but you knew who A’Keria was supposed to be, unlike many of her peers.

But yet again, A’Keria went above and beyond on the runway. That is how you do a bodysuit, people – Nicki Minaj found shaking in her high-heeled boots.

5. Scarlet Envy

Scarlet Envy Drag Race
Scarlet Envy (Picture: VH1)

After last week’s major dip in an acting challenge, I feared for Scarlet. However, her Betsy De Vos was brilliant – campy and over-the-top, just like you should be in a Rusical. Having such a clear reference point worked in Scarlet’s favour, and she was able to break out of the role she churned out the last two challenges.

Plus, don’t you just love a queen who actually chooses queens for each role that will actually benefit the group as a whole? We’re all about the unity here, folks.

4. Nina West

Nina West Drag Race
Nina West (Picture: VH1)

Nina’s runway was so-so, her Sarah Huckabee Sanders was great – but it’s her workroom chat that has pushed her up the leaderboard.

My heart broke when Nina spoke about the harassment she got while running for student politics at college. The horrific murder of Matthew Shepard may seem like another time, but it was only 21 years ago, and in highly divisive times such as these, many people – particularly minorities and the LGBTQ+ community – feel unsafe.

Nina’s emotional reasons for being a gay rights activist remind us that so much work needs to be done, and maintained.

3. Yvie Oddly

Yvie Oddly Drag Race
Yvie Oddly (Picture: VH1)

I’m calling it – Yvie for the final four. She’s just such a weirdo – her orange circus look had nods to Nina Bo’nina Brown’s brilliant peach costume, but had enough twists that it was still fresh and exciting.

And despite being worried about certain dance moves due to her Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, she threw herself into the choreography and produced one of the best performances on the night.

Also, her laugh is just ridiculous.

2. Silky Nutmeg Ganache

Silky Nutmeg Ganache Drag Race
Silky Nutmeg Ganache (Picture: VH1)

Silky’s turn as Oprah was sensational – she could basically play Oprah on SNL, and I would be totally here for it. I wish she hadn’t have complained about it in the beginning, because a true star can turn the smallest part into a standout appearance – like she went on to do.

But even better than her take on Oprah was Silky taking about a half hour to walk the runway thanks to her dress. Any queen who can milk a strut that much gets legend status.

1. Brooke Lynn Hytes

Brooke Lynn Hytes Drag Race
Brooke Lynn Hytes (Picture: VH1)

Miss Brooke Lynn, welcome back to the dizzying Hytes of the top. After a killer first week, Brooke Lynn just wasn’t impressing, and found herself being overshadowed by the other queens.

However, her Ivana Trump parody was absolutely spot-on, and you could tell the traces of Patsy Stone in her rendition of Trump’s ex. Throw in her ballet moves (those legs!) and her phenomenal orange alert look, and I’m surprised Brooke Lynn didn’t win her second challenge.

But the real prize was having Tiffany Pollard compliment Brooke Lynn on her Norwegia heritage. We love you, New York.

RuPaul’s Drag Race continues at 9pm ET/PT on Thursdays on VH1, and drops on Netflix the following morning.

Line Of Duty creator Jed Mercurio has ‘had thoughts’ about the show’s ending (Picture: BBC)

Line Of Duty showrunner Jed Mercurio has plans to axe the show before fans get bored of it. Like that could ever happen.

Series five is just around the corner and it has already been commissioned for series six.

But the creator and writer has already started thinking about the show’s last ever episode.

‘I have had some thoughts. I don’t know how long it can go on for,’ he said at a screening attended by Metro.co.uk.

‘I think a lot depends on how people respond to it.

‘I think we recognise that it has got a lifespan. We have to calibrate that against what the audience response is.’

If the response to series five is anything like the one Mercurio’s other series, Bodyguard, received, he might be on to a winner yet again.

The new episodes will see AC-12 take on the Balaclava Men, with their ringleader played by Stephen Graham.

When it comes to killing characters off, Mercurio takes no prisoners and series five will be no exception.

At a screening for the new episode star Adrian Dunbar, who plays Ted Hastings, said the cast always fear they’re going to meet to their maker.

He explained: ‘People often think we must know in advance – from Jed or our agents – how many episodes we’ve been booked for in the next series.

‘But you don’t really know. You open the first script not knowing if it’s going to be “Jason Watkins Time.”

‘And, I’ll tell you, the more you have to do in early episodes, the more fearful you are that it’s building up to you going out with a bang.

‘We’re all in it together until Jed pulls the trigger.’

Line Of Duty returns 31 March on BBC One. Check out our spoiler-free review here.

How many episodes are there in Game of Thrones season 8 and what are the running times?

Game of Thrones fans don’t have long left until the final season gets underway and we finally learn the fate of some of our favourite characters.

Season 8 is set to begin on Sunday 14 April, which means that there is just over three weeks until Jon Snow and Daenerys return to our screens.

The battle against the Night King is one of the biggest talking points heading into the new series, while there are also question marks over who will sit on the iron throne.

Despite the long wait for the show to return, the number of new episodes is much smaller than the 10 episodes that made up each of the first six seasons.

This started last season when only seven episodes were produced, and it resulted in longer episodes with plots moving at a faster pace.

Fans will likely see the same thing happen again with the fight against the White Walkers expected to take place across one or possibly two episodes.

The Knight King

How many season 8 episodes are there?

There will be six episodes in the eighth season of the show, making it the shortest series.

Typically Game of Thrones has had ten episodes per season, but this changed during the seventh season when only seven episodes were made.

What are the season 8 running times?

Despite being a shorter series in terms of episode-count, each one is set to be longer than usual with an extended running time for the final episode.

Episode one – 54 minutes

Episode two – 58 minutes

Episode three – 1 hour 22 minutes

Episode four – 1 hour 18 minutes

Episode five – 1 hour and 20 minutes

Episode six – 1 hour and 20 minutes

Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey Budden says they’d ‘still be a family’ if her daughter was still alive

Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey Budden believes her daughter would still be with Jack Tweed if she was still alive.

Jade died in 2009 after a battle with cervical cancer.

On the tenth anniversary of her death, Jackiey and Jade’s husband Jack appeared on Good Morning Britain to share their memories of her.

Jackiey explained that she still relives losing her daughter ‘every day’.

She said: ‘When people say 10 years has gone so quick, I don’t understand that because it’s every day for me.

‘What got me was 22nd February. I was filming and I went, “Oh, it’s their wedding day”. I messaged [Jack] and I broke, thinking they got married but they never had a wedding life. They only really had one day.

‘If she was here life would be so different. We’d all be here together if she was alive now. You’d still be a family wouldn’t you?’

Jackiey added that her daughter would want Jack to find love again.

‘She would love Jack to be happy and have someone. she would. Even the day she died, she don’t care you could be with another woman the same day, she would like him to have a life.’

But Jack confessed that he found it hard to move on despite finding a new relationship at first.

He said: ‘I rushed into it. I was looking for a replacement and it didn’t seem like the right thing to do.

‘I don’t really have the same feeling that I did for Jade. I can’t really feel that for anyone else. It’s not fair on the other person.’

Jack went on: ‘Every time I picture Jade I just picture her laughing, even right up until the end she was laughing.

‘You could never be down or depressed when you were with her. It was impossible.’

Praise Lil Sebastian – it’s Pawnee reunited as Parks and Recreation cast gather for 10th anniversary

Grab your galentines and a stack of waffles and thank Lil Sebastian for our blessings, as the Park and Recreations cast has reunited.

And it feels so, so good.

The whole cast of the NBC comedy, which ended in 2015, gathered together at PaleyFest for Parks and Rec’s 10th anniversary, and it’s like they never left Pawnee.

Well, if Pawnee was now home to an Avenger.

In a group picture that warmed our cockles, Amy Poehler (Leslie Knope), Chris Pratt (Andy Dwyer), Aubrey Plaza (April Ludgate), Aziz Ansari (Tom Haverford), Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins), Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson), Rob Lowe (Chris Traeger), Adam Scott (Ben Wyatt), Jim O’Heir (Jerry Gergich) and Retta (Donna Meagle) were joined by discussion chair and Parks and Rec guest star Patton Oswalt.

The snap was tweeted from the show’s official account, before the gang went on stage with show creator Michael Schur.

And during the anniversary talk, Schur didn’t rule out a possible reunion in the future.

The writer, also at the helm of Brooklyn Nine Nine and The Good Place, said: ‘We’d only do it if there was something compelling. If anyone onstage said no, we wouldn’t do it.

Amy said she’d be down for a reunion (Picture: Albert L. Ortega/Getty Images)

‘Never say never.’

Amy Poehler added that she was available if Schur was available, although in true Leslie Knope fashion, her ideas for storylines were a tad overreaching.

She said: ‘I have no idea where I’d want it to go, we would do what we usually do: blow out the formula, do nothing that works — put us in space. This is why I’m not the one with the ideas.’

However, Aubrey Plaza had some pretty nail on the head theories on where April and Andy would be.

She said: ‘I mean, she’d probably have ten children, a houseful of children. Because I know Andy and April aren’t going to stop. And they don’t use protection. They don’t know where to get it. They’ll probably have a lot of children. I feel like she’s the breadwinner, she’s wearing $3,000 suits while Andy makes pancakes.’

Relationship goals.

The talk also gave us titbits of trivia on the seven series – our favourite being that Ron Swanson dancing in a tiny hat was actually the result of a bet to make The Fight director Amy laugh.

And we’re guessing it worked, because it is still our go-to GIF for any celebration/drunken behaviour.

Parks And Recreation centred on the Parks Department of Pawnee, Indiana, where the eternally perky and enthusiastic Leslie Knope worked with an eclectic staff and gruff carpenter/saxophonist Ron Swanson.

The first season in 2009 received mixed reviews, but over the years, it collected a devoted fanbase and in 2012, it topped Time’s list of best TV series.

While a reunion could indeed be possible, a flash forward in the series finale showed us what would happen to our lovable civil servants.

Leslie served as governor for two terms, Ben is elected to Congress, Andy and April became parents, and Jerry/Garry serves as Mayor until his death aged 100.

Kaley Cuoco reveals The Big Bang Theory finale will be shot without audience because it’s that emotional

Kaley Cuoco revealed The Big Bang Theory will be filmed without an audience for the first time for finale (Picture: CBS)

The Big Bang Theory finale is in sight and the cast are taking extra precautions not to break down on set.

There’s just six episodes to go until we wave goodbye to Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) but be assured, after 12 seasons we’re going out ‘with a bang’, according to Cuoco.

‘I hate saying that but it’s kinda true,’ the 33-year-old told E! News. ‘We wanted to go out on top.’

Cuoco’s been pretty open that behind-the-scenes she’s been in pieces shooting the show’s final chapter, and subsequently producers are taking a different route to film the last ever episode.

‘We’re actually going to pre-shoot the whole thing, so we’ll have shot it, and then we will have an audience taping,’ she continued. ’That was probably because they knew I’d be crying the entire time.

‘So we still want the audience experience…so we’re gonna still do the audience, but we will have taped it and shot it beforehand, so if the tears come unexpectedly, then that’s just what’s going to happen, because I guarantee you it’s going to happen.’

So much has changed since we first met The Big Bang Theory cast all the way back in 2007. There’s been children – with possibly more on the way – break-ups, weddings and even William Shatner swung by for a game of Dungeons and Dragons.

This week, Raj star Kunal Nayyar shared a picture proving how he turned out to be a ‘grown ass man’, while The Big Bang Theory producer Eric Kaplin explained to Metro.co.uk how Penny, Leonard and Sheldon have come along the most.

‘Sheldon’s actually fallen in love with a woman and now he’s married, that’s a lot of growth,’ he told us.

‘Penny and Leonard in different ways have found completion in the other and they have developed and changed because they’re married now.

‘They found each other and they fell in love and Leonard learned to get out of his shell and appreciate his need to emotionally connect with the outside world.

‘Penny became more confident in herself as an autonomous maker of meaning.’

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays on CBS and E4 in the UK.

Ben Fogle suffered a ‘breakdown’ after appearing on reality TV show Castaway 2000: ‘It was intense’

Ben Fogle has said he struggled after appearing on reality TV.

The broadcaster appeared on reality TV show Castaway 2000 nearly 20 years ago, which tasked 36 men, women and children with building a community from scratch on a remote Scottish island.

Despite the programme helping to launch his presenting career, he suffered a ‘proper breakdown’ in the aftermath.

He said: ‘I disappeared off. The narrative is not my narrative now, it’s a long time ago, but I wanted to share that just to show that…I’m quite a grounded, rooted person but I still found the intensity and scrutiny overwhelming.

‘The BBC had a lot of things in place. They were checking.’

His comments come as discussion around aftercare for reality TV show contestants came into the spotlight again following the death of Love Island star Mike Thalassitis.

Castaway Benjamin Fogle (Ben Fogle), one of the 35 adventurers, who are being filmed for the BBC fly on the wall show, Castaway 2000, looks out from the 'pod' living accommodation as Philly Page (left) chats to Tanya Cheadle on the island of Taransay in the Western Isles of Scotland Friday 14th April 2000, where the group have been living since New Year's Eve as part of the BBC's television programme. He says there has been a 'major reduction in physical entry requirements' for new recruits, and even made controversial comments about the fitness of current military personnel. He said: "If you are in the military you have to lead by example. 10% of armed forces are clinically obese...they've definitely eased up the fitness requirements!" Major Charles Winstanley from the MOD got in touch and challenged Ben to take on the test. Good Morning Britain was there yesterday (Thursday) as he took on the test for himself. Ben and Army Sergeant Major Gav Paton are in the studio.
Ben said his experiences after the show were ‘intense’ (Picture: ITV/REX)

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he said of the show: ‘It was 20 years ago. It was intense.

‘It’s a bit like going into a changing room, completely unknown, putting on a new set of clothes and suddenly you come out and everyone knows who you are.

‘I think a lot of people are very cynical and they think, well if you go on a reality show that’s what you expect, that’s why you do it.

‘People are underestimating the intensity of what I call “insta-fame”. It’s like a Pot Noodle, instantly it’s there. It’s quite seductive.

Love Island star Mike Thalassitis’ death has prompted the show to make changes to their aftercare practices (Picture: Getty Images)

‘But all things come to an end. We know that in our world. You’re only as long as the roots you put down and reality roots are quite shallow.

‘I think people struggle to come to terms with that sudden loss once it goes away.’

Ben continued: ‘As long as you are focused and you seize opportunities I think you can navigate through the complex waters.

‘I’m not saying, “poor reality show contestants, we need to feel sorry for them”, it’s not about that at all.

‘But when we’re talking of mental health across the whole nation we need to look at every single aspect of it. It’s being highlighted in every part of society.’

Susannah Constantine accidentally turned the air blue when let the f-word slip on day time TV.

Susannah might have forgotten what time of the day it was when she casually swore during a Good Morning Britain interview.

She appeared on the show alongside Michelle Heaton to discuss couples who chose to sleep in separate beds, and whether it helps get a good night’s sleep.

Explaining the situation in her household, the stylist said: ‘We’ll go to bed together and we’ll have that conversation and then I’ll go off if I’m tired and I need a good night’s sleep.

‘But also, we’ve been married for nearly 24 years. I think it’s very important – it was for us – for our children when they were young, is to see us going to bed and sleeping together. Having the united family unit.’

‘Now they’re older and they understand I’m like, “Oh f**k’s sake”, excuse my language. It just kind of popped out.’

Although she didn’t fully swear, it was very clear what she was saying as part of the word could be heard.

Presenter Ben Shephard jumped in saying: ‘Apologies to anyone who would have heard Susanna express herself.

‘It’s the wrong time of the morning to be doing that. Did you have enough sleep last night?’

‘I did actually!’ the Strictly Come Dancing star replied.

Riviera season 2: Has Georgina really got away with murder? Julia Stiles returns in nail-biting first trailer

*Warning: This article contains spoilers from Riviera season one.

Riviera is finally back after season one left our jaws firmly placed on the floor following that brutal cliff-hanger.

Julia Stiles returns as the fierce AF heroine Georgina, who appears to have got away with murder after killing the manipulative Adam (played by Iwan Rheon) and now faces another uphill climb to retain control over the chaotic Clios family.

‘Have you ever known me to run away from a problem?’ she warns the children of her ex-husband, which is fair. The last time we saw her, Georgina was desperately trying to keep the most rebellions brood together – even if it meant spilling their blood.

Naturally, there’s suspicion, drama and bullets are fired as season two returns to the glamorous French Riviera while Georgina tries to cover her tracks.

However, there’s new faces to contend with as the Eltham family descend into the Cote D’Azur with their own tangled web of lies, deceit and secrets.

The dynasty is headed up by Lady Cassandra Eltham (Juliet Stevenson), who is joined by her daughter Daphne (Poppy Delevingne), her husband Raafi (Alex Lanipekun) and Nico (Jack Fox).

Meanwhile, Georgina is reunited with her charismatic uncle Jeff (Will Arnett) and we learn more about the troubled past she left behind in America. She also becomes entangled with the handsome and mysterious Noah (Grégory Fitoussi), which is already very exciting in deed.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk last year, Julia gave the first update on season two, telling us: ‘I literally just finished shooting two days ago and it was such a whirlwind of seven months.

‘I feel like season two has become a little more operatic and a little more Shakespearean – if the Greeks and Shakespeare had a love child, it would be season two of Riviera.’

We’re freaking out already…

Riviera season 2 returns to Sky Atlantic in May.

Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey Budden gave a lively interview to pay tribute to her daughter on the 10th anniversary of her death.

Jackiey appeared on Good Morning opening up how she has been in the years since she died, and continue to raise awareness of cervical cancer, which Jade battled before her death in 2009.

She said: ‘When people say 10 years has gone so quick, I don’t understand that because it’s every day for me.

‘If she was here life would be so different. We’d all be here together if she was alive now.’

As the interview came to an end, Jackiey thanked the presenting team for having her.

Speaking to Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard she said: ‘Thank you guys.’

Spotting newsreader Charlotte Hawkins sat at the end of the desk, she added: ‘Who are you?’

Introducing her to Charlotte, Kate explained: ‘We knew Jackiey from back in the day.’

‘So rude, no one’s introduced me to you,’ Jackiey said.

Kate said: ‘You must have seen Charlotte when you watch the show.’

Jackiey replied: ‘I’ve seen you but no one introduced me to her.’

‘That’s very rude of us goodness me,’ Kate went on. ‘She keeps you in check, Jackiey.’

Ben quipped: ‘She does. We’ve all been reprimanded. Gotta mind the Ps and Qs.’

‘We’ve missed you. It’s lovely to see you,’ Kate added, bringing the interview to an end.

In the segment she also spoke of her grandsons Bobby, 15, and Freddie, 14, who Jade shares with presenter Jeff Brazier.

Jackiey said: ‘They’re lush. Bobby is the spitting image of Jade with a willy. Freddie is Jade as a baby. Bobby is Jade as an adult.

‘We get sad days. We put DVDs on. Freddie gets her DVD and stands on his bed and does her work out. Me and Bobby if we get a bad day we’ve got DVDs.

‘There’s no one else in their life on Jade’s side, there’s just me.’

Lorraine Kelly jokes playing herself is a ‘big stretch’ after winning £1.2m tax case

Lorraine Kelly left ITV viewers laughing as she joked about playing herself on Mrs Brown’s Boys – days afte winning a tax battle by successfully proving the difference between herself and her TV persona.

The 59-year-old argued that she’s a ‘theatrical artist’, telling the first-tier tribunal that she ‘acted every day as a version of herself.’

And on Friday’s episode of her usual morning show, the host told viewers about her time making a cameo as herself on Mrs Brown’s Boys – and timing could not have been any more comical for some people at home.

When asked what it was like, she said: ‘It was a blast, I laughed my head off. I’m playing myself – big stretch – as a hotel guest.

‘We spent the whole afternoon just howling with laughter. It’s hilarious. I love them all.’

Right on time, people took to social media to point out the irony – of course, not everybody found it funny.

The morning TV show host had faced the huge £1.2 million bill from HMRC amid a crackdown by the revenue, which argued that TV presenters are employees of broadcasters, and should be subject to income tax and national insurance contributions.

The presenter won her appeal after arguing that she does not appear as herself on TV but as a persona known as ‘Lorraine Kelly’.

Speaking during the tribunal on Wednesday, judge Jennifer Dean ruled to accept the fact that the person she portrayed on TV was someone different.

‘We should make clear we do not doubt that Ms Kelly is an entertaining lady, but the point is that for the time Ms Kelly is contracted to perform live on air she is public “Lorraine Kelly”,’ Judge Dean explained.

Lorraine Kelly’s viewers giggled over the joke, while others were not as amused. (Picture: Rex Features)

‘She may not like the guest she interviews, she may not like the food she eats, she may not like the film she viewed but that is where the performance lies.’

Kelly also argued that she was not an employee of ITV and she was not entitled to such benefits as sick pay and a pension; rather ITV’s contract was with Albatel Limited, a company for which Kelly and her husband are directors and shareholders.

While HMRC billed her for the sums she would have paid had her contract been directly with ITV, Kelly went on to point out that she chose her own working hours for Lorraine, as well as working for other broadcasters and as an ambassador for Avon.

The presenter is said to be worth around £4.6m.

As well as Lorraine she’s also recently been seen as the host of BBC One game show Wedding Day Winners as well as Carnage on BBC iPlayer.

Metro.co.uk previously contacted reps for ITV and Lorraine for comment.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30 am on ITV.

Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock thanks Harry Redknapp for saving his life as doctors warned he could die any second

Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock was told he could drop dead at any moment if he carried on with his unhealthy lifestyle.

And the former footballer has thanked Harry Redknapp for pushing him to visit the doctor in the first place, in worrying scenes on TV show Harry’s Heroes.

During an appearance on This Morning alongside wife Leah, the 50-year-old told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: ‘Harry could tell I was in trouble when I was training, he was the one who pushed me to get checked out.

Neil Ruddock opened up about his health issues on This Morning (Picture: ITV)

‘I knew I had a bad knee, but I didn’t realise what was happening inside.

‘I’m the joker of the pack, I’m always the first one in the pub, last one out the pub. You think it’s not going to happen to you.

‘I went to see a doctor in Harley Street and it was a wake-up call. Blood tests don’t lie.’

However, despite vowing to sort himself out, Eamonn revealed the former England star had put weight on in the time after the show was filmed.

And the damage Neil has done to his body means he now needs a knee replacement.

‘You think it’s going to happen to someone else, don’t you? It’s never going to be you. And it is me…’ he continued.

Describing himself as a ‘heart attack waiting to happen,’ he added: ‘I thought I was invincible, I didn’t think it would happen to me.’

Razor’s health issues came to the fore during filming for Harry’s Heroes, with the I’m A Celebrity winner.

The show followed a group of England legends – including David Seaman and Paul Merson – who raced to get fit ahead of a football match against Germany.

But after the Celebrity Big Brother star was seen struggling in training sessions, he booked a life-saving appointment at the doctors.

‘Razor, you cannot afford to take this lightly please.”

And Neil revealed his relief he was checked out in time.

Which couples from Celebs Go Dating are still together?

Did any of the celebs find true love this season? (Picture: E4)

The came, they saw, they flirted, and now season six of Celebs Go Dating has come to a close.

thumbnail for post ID 8981992Revoke Article 50 petition gets 3,000,000 signatures to stop Brexit

It’s been a doozy of a season, in which, among many other things, soap-star Chelsee Healey got the worst date feedback the show has ever seen, and we got to hear all about Kerry Katona’s haunting.

In the finale, we got to see the celebs live it up with their chosen dates in a fancy Tenerife hotel.

Want to know what happened to the celebs and their dates after the cameras stopped rolling? Look no further…

Is anyone from Celebs Go Dating 2019 still together?

The celebs who went dating this year were TOWIE’s Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks, Atomic Kitten’s Kerry Katona, Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey, Love Island alums Georgia Steel and Jack Fowler, and Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts.

Out of this lot, Megan McKenna revealed on Good Morning Britain in late February, after filming of Celebs Go Dating season six was done and dusted, that just two of the couples who made it to the finale were left standing.

She could be seeing a ghost right now and we wouldn’t even know it (Picture: E4)

At the time, she said: ‘I can say someone in the celebs is still dating… I can’t say who!

‘One of the girls and one of the boys.’

While we couldn’t confirm which couples she was referring to here, we can get you up to date on what’s been going on with the couples since then…

David chose 23-year-old Luke to be his date in Tenerife, but sadly, even though they seemed to get along like a house on fire, they aren’t together anymore.

Chelsee picked Stephen to be her final date, but there’s nothing to suggest that the two are still an item either. If you’re basing it on social media, at least.

Pete and Poppy didn’t go the distance either, with Pete now reportedly dating Georgina Elizabeth Mullins after having met on social media, according to OK!

Jack Fowler took Austrailian barmaid Kate to Tenerife, but there’s as yet no evidence to suggest that they’re still dating.

The same is the case with Megan and Tom the pylon painter, and Sam and Aliki, who, despite how well they got on on the show, have not confirmed whether or not they’re together now. Again, there is no evidence to suggest they are on social media.

Georgia might have gone as far as introducing her final date choice, Nathan from Manchester, to her parents. But, in early March, Georgia was reportedly seen kissing Hollyoaks’ Malique Thompson Dwyer, so it’s unclear whether or not she and Nathan are still a thing.

And last but not least, Kerry ended up taking herself on a date to Tenerife, and ended the show single.

More power to her!

Celebs Go Dating also features receptionist Tom Read Wilson and dating experts Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson.

It is not yet known if it will be back for another series but watch this space.

Antoni Porowski is opening up about his relationship with boyfriend Trace Lehnoff.

The 35-year-old Queer Eye star revealed that he met his beau through direct messaging on Instagram.

‘He’s a good boy. We met on Instagram,’ Antoni said during an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

Andy Cohen responded with the classy: ‘It went down in the DMs.’

Antoni replied saying: ‘It’s like the 2019 way, I guess.’

We are taking notes, lads. Notes galore, because some of our DMs are collecting cobwebs as we speak.

Trace – who found fame in the entertainment industry on the Bravo show Flipping Out – has been with Antoni since last summer.

Antoni  also described the first meal he cooked for Trace, and we really hope it is in the cookbook.

Of course, avocado-loving Antoni is the culinary expert on the Netflix hit, showing people how to make simple but effective meals rather than living off ready meals and chips ‘n’ dip.

He originally started out as an actor but worked his way up to become manager of a sushi restaurant after switching careers.

Interestingly, the 35-year-old from Montreal worked as a chef for former Queer Eye host Ted Allen before getting his big break.

Since the first season aired, he’s had a cookbook deal and is opening a restaurant in New York.

The third season recently dropped, and it sees the lifestyle experts change locations as they move from Atlanta, Georgia to Kansas City in Missouri.

They will also be helping more women this series, including the first lesbian to be given a life makeover by the group since the series launched early last year.

Fans can see the return of food and wine expert Antoni, fashion expert Tan France and design expert Bobby Berk.

You can watch all three seasons of Queer Eye on Netflix now.

Mindhunter star Sam Strike signs up to Amazon’s Dark Tower

Sam Strike has signed up to Amazon’s Dark Tower.

The former EastEnders actor – who rose to fame when he landed the role as Danny Dyer’s on-screen son Johnny Carter on the BBC One soap in 2013 – is to portray Roland Deschain/ the Gunslinger in the Amazon adaptation of Stephen King’s popular novel.

Sam appeared the confirm the news by posting a quote from the book on his Twitter account, which read: ‘The Man in Black fled across the desert. And the Gunslinger followed…’

Jasper Paakkonen is said to have been cast as The Man in Black, who is also known as Randall Flagg and Walter O’Dim.

Glen Mazzara will be the showrunner for the series, and he ‘could not be more excited’ to be working on the project.

He said: ‘I’ve been a Stephen King fan for decades, and the opportunity to adapt ‘The Dark Tower’ as a TV series is a great honour.

‘The events of The Gunslinger, Wizard and Glass, The Wind Through the Keyhole’ and other tales need a long format to capture the complexity of Roland’s coming of age – how he became the Gunslinger, how Walter became the Man in Black, and how their rivalry cost Roland everything and everyone he ever loved.

‘I could not be more excited to tell this story.’

Since departing EastEnders, Sam has starred in Silent Witness, Mindhunter and most recently in US horror sci-fi show Nightflyers, which is based on the novella by Game of Thrones author George RR Martin.

A film version of The Dark Tower was released in 2017 and starred Idris Elba as Roland and Matthew McConaughey as the Man in Black.

Marvel fans assemble! Props and costumes from Daredevil and other cancelled Netflix shows to go on sale

When Netflix announced it was cancelling its Marvel shows, the devastation hit fans hard.

But every cloud has a silver lining, and the fury of the Daredevil devotees might just be quelled by the news that Marvel are selling off costumes and props from three of the scrapped shows.

Yep, you could be the lucky owner of Matt Murdock’s actual red suit from Daredevil or his iconic round glasses. Or if you’re more of an Luke Cage fan, why not get your hands on the hero’s actual hoodie or his now-iconic swear jar.

Other items up for sale include the Nelson and Murdock office sign, Elektra’s samurai swords and Misty Knight’s bionic arm – all of which are the real props used on the actual Marvel sets.

Fans could also buy Luke Cage’s swear jar (Picture: Marvel/Pop Store)

Of course, these one-of-a-kind collector’s items don’t come for free and rather than set a price, Marvel will auction each piece off to the highest bidder. With props and costumes from some of the most popular Marvel shows up for grabs, it’s likely prices will hike up to near-extortionate levels. At least Eminem will be able to afford something.

In the two-day online auction a grand total 750 lots will go on sale from Daredevil, Luke Cage, The Punisher and Iron Fist. It’s the first auction of it’s kind, with memorabilia specialists Prop Store looking after the logistics. Bidding will open in July 2019, and anyone interested might want to sign up to email updates so they don’t miss out.

While the auction might be a sad reminder that Netflix put an end to all its Marvel shows, all is not lost for Murdock and his cohort. Earlier this year, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb penned an open letter hinting that the characters – collectively known as The Defenders – will likely continue their stories elsewhere.

‘Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters… but you know Marvel better than that,’ he wrote. ‘As Matthew Murdock’s Dad once said, “The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it’s how he gets back up.” To be continued.’

Jessica Jones star Kristen Ritter also recently hinted Netflix’s cancellation of the show would not be the last time we see her, writing in an Instagram post that there is ‘more to come’ from her character.

Danny Dyer Let?s Talk About Sex

Danny Dyer has been reflecting over the time he lost his virginity at 14-years-old and spilled the details in in front of his shocked 11-year-old daughter, Sunnie.

The EastEnders hard man spilled the tea for a new Channel 4 series Let’s Talk About Sex, which sees a handful of celebrities discuss their own sexual awakenings – from masturbation, contraception and popping their cherry – as secondary school introduce mandatory sex ed classes from 2020.

Danny, 41, was having sex with his wife Joanne Mas, Sunnie’s mother, ‘before puberty’.

And his daughter’s reaction was as you’d expect: ‘14? You had sex at 14? That’s like me having sex at 14!’

Only, ‘that won’t be happening’, according to Danny.

The father-of-three was just as protective over his eldest daughter Dani when she entered the Love Island villa last year.

It’s been a testing few months for the Human Traffic star’s kids after he also boasted about his ‘Godzilla’ manhood while filming Danny Dyer’s Right Royal Family.

‘I would’ve used my brain and gone for a smaller cod piece, to let everyone in the room know I don’t need a big cod piece because what’s underneath is Godzilla…,’ he told an alarmed historian.

Although, they should be very proud as over the past year their outspoken dad has accidentally become one of the most respected voices in the country after going in on ‘t**t’ David Cameron over the shambles that is Brexit, before declaring ISIS bride Shamima Begum should have been allowed back in the UK.

Let’s Talk About Sex comes to Channel 4 on April 5.

Colin Farrell has addressed his battle with addiction – admitting he would love to get drunk with Danny DeVito.

The Irish actor has been sober for 13 years after checking into rehab in 2006 for an addiction to alcohol and drugs.

And on this week’s edition of The Jonathan Ross Show, Colin – who is currently starring in the live action remake of Dumbo – opened up on why he gave up in the first place.

Speaking to Jonathan, the 42-year-old said: ‘I had a little look at one stage, but it was made patently obvious to me that I probably should stay off it.

Colin joked hed love to go drinking with Danny Picture: Brian J Ritchie/Hotsauce)

‘Do you know what, every now and then I meet someone I would love to get drunk with. I would love to get drunk with him (Danny). Great fun wouldn’t it?’

Colin has been open about his sobriety journey, and last year checked into rehab as a preventative measure to maintain his sobriety.

The In Bruges star recently took time off acting to spend time with his sons James, 15, and Henry, 9, but relaxing, it was not.

He said: ‘I took eight or nine months off. It was nice to be home with the lads. I’d travelled so much I ended up being on the road for six or seven months. Nothing shoots in Hollywood, they don’t make films there anymore really. So Atlanta, New York, a lot of stuff here in London now which is great for English crews, who are extraordinary. It was nice to be home with the lads.

‘I try to keep up with them two fellas. I go to work for a rest. They’re the loves of my life but they’re intense little lads. School runs, baths, lunches, maybe the odd hike, films and stuff. The advance of technology is a curse. For me as a dad, iPads are a curse. I’m guilty as well because if I want half an hour to have a bit of breath and be left alone in the house, away you go and it’s so easy and it just becomes kind of a surrogate parent.’

But when it came to Colin going back to work, the kids weren’t exactly devastated.

The star joked: ‘Oh yeah, absolutely, they were done. They packed my bags. They were like “OK bye.” I said “I’ll Facetime you”. “No, no, no don’t worry about it. Go and have your experience, we’ll be here when you get back”.’

Colin is joined on Jonathan’s sofa by Danny DeVito, Nicola Adams, Jimmy Carr and Lolly Adefope, while Lewis Capaldi performs.

The Jonathan Ross Show is on this Saturday at 10pm on ITV.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Official Trailer (Picture: HBO)
Game of Thrones fans are kicking off as season 8 leaks online (Picture: HBO)

After two years of HBO keeping all Game of Throes season eight secrets under lock and key, details of episode one have leaked online.

While we’ve been desperate for details surrounding the fantasy epic’s final chapter, but this wasn’t the one.

A Redditor named TheRealFikiDoctor, famed for breaking internal Game of Thrones secrets, has shared details of the first instalment from season eight online, but Metro.co.uk won’t be spoiling the fun for anyone on here because, like you, we don’t want this ruined for us either.

The post includes plot lines, reunions, the characters kicking the season off and honestly we know too much already.

We’re just one of the many fans currently kicking off:

The leak comes two years after HBO Spain accidentally released the wrong season seven episode prematurely and, unsurprisingly, everything hit the fan.

And then the US broadcaster accidentally revealed the cast list for Game of Thrones season eight episode one, which confirmed the return of two heroes – while Beric Dondarrion star Richard Dormer suggested the leaks may come from the top.

When asked whether it’s annoying when spoilers leak online during an appearance on Sky News, Richard let loose on some major insights, replying: ‘Yes, it is.

‘It’s good for the show, because it gets people talking and sometimes I suppose they even leak stuff on purpose, I don’t know. It’s all good for the show, it’s great.’

He added: ‘We find it kind of annoying because we want the fans to see it on screen and go, “Oh my God, I can’t believe it.”’

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 14 and will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic in the UK. In the meantime, you can currently stream seasons one to seven on NOW TV.

Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was in the midst of battling a brain aneurysm when she delivered one of Daenerys’ most powerful scenes.

Emilia, 32, first started having issues when she felt unwell during a training session in 2011, not long after season one wrapped.

She admitted that during season two, ‘every day I thought I was going to die’.

A Thrones fan on Reddit has highlighted an epic scene in season three when Dany visits Astapor.

In an incredible moment, Daenerys got one over on a slave owner who demanded one of her dragons in exchange for an army of Unsullied.

The slave owner thought Daenerys couldn’t speak Valyrian and constantly insulted her.

Daenerys handed over one of her dragons and began to take charge of her new army, to the slave owner’s horror.

She ordered the soldiers to ‘slay the masters, slay the soldiers, slay every man who holds a whip, but harm no child. Strike the chains off every slave you see.’

The Unsullied followed her orders, and then in one final attack, she ordered Drogon to unleash hellfire by uttering: ‘Dracarys’, and roasting the slave owner who wanted her dragon.

The actress would then undergo another grueling operation in 2013 – after finishing season three – which left her ‘screaming in pain’.

She told The New Yorker: ‘The procedure had failed. I had a massive bleed and the doctors made it plain that my chances of surviving were precarious if they didn’t operate again.

‘This time they needed to access my brain in the old-fashioned way—through my skull. And the operation had to happen immediately.

Emilia revealed the recovery from the second operation was ‘more painful’ than after the first, and that she ’emerged…with a drain coming out of my head’. She still bears a scar running from her scalp to her ear from surgery.

Following her ordeal, Emilia has now launched a charity, SameYou, which aims to raise money for those recovering from brain surgeries and strokes.

Game Of Thrones returns 14 April on Sky Atlantic and HBO
