SAS: Who Dares Wins star AJ Odudu reveal;s aftermath of Andrea McLean exit (Channel 4/WENN)

Tonight’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins was another painful 60 minutes of television to watch let alone be among the unfortunate famous faces actually enduring Ant Middleton’s hellish course.

Loose Women star Andrea McLean became the second casualty of the series, following Louise Mensch’s exit last week, after she was forced to retreat in isolation after suffering from a horrific strain of hypothermia.

After Ant gave her the option to stick with it, the mum-of-two – who is also the oldest recruit t ever take part in the Channel 4 series at 49 years old – told the DS she’d ‘made peace’ with her decision to hand over her arm band.

Though, the star was a complete wonder women through and through, opening up on her past trauma and taking on every single task like a true SAS recruit.

Her co-star AJ Odudu exclusively told Metro.co.uk that the entire cast were ‘gutted’ to see Andrea pack her bags, but there wasn’t even a second to ‘grieve’.

‘She was like the mother of the group and she’s just an absolute trouper,’ the presenter sighed. ‘They don’t show everything and that day it was absolutely freezing cold and we’re watching each other one by one climbing up the mountain that’s basically vertical, and you’re clinging on with your fingertips.

‘It was amazing to see Andrea go to the top and get to the bottom – she smashed that task. We were all running around her like a bunch of penguins and she thought she’d be fine, but then she really did feel faint and got stretchered off.’

‘We were gutted,’ AJ continued. ‘You are a pillar of strength on one another so when you lose someone you really feel it.

‘But you don’t have much time to grieve. It’s like, “Alright, your mate’s gone and now you have to get back in the cold mud.”

And then AJ was dealt her own cruel blow as she collapsed in what she called her ‘exorcist’ moment. However, she got back up and continued to endure the freezing cold, unbearable altitude and Sam Thompson. What a hero.

While most would do a runner without any hesitation whatsoever, the 29-year-old explained that at the time she just felt ‘disappointed’ in herself.

‘It really knocked my confidence,’ she told us. ‘I’ve always been this person who was strong, I thought. I’ve run a marathon, I’m a long distance endure runner and I lift heavy weights – I tell my body what to do.

AJ told us she was ‘disappointed’ in herself (Picture: Channel 4)

‘In that moment when I’m putting one front in front of the other I just felt really weak and I lack confidence. I remember at the time thinking, “What is wrong with you? Why has this happened?”’

Although, if fainting wasn’t unnerving enough, watching it back with her mum – who was none the wiser – was terrifying.

‘What was scary for me was watching episode one and them saying, “next time” and then me falling to the ground like I was having some exorcism!’ AJ gasped. ‘I’ve never seen myself like that.

‘My mum told me off – “you didn’t tell me that happened!” I told her I had a bit of an episode and it was fine. I didn’t know it looked that scary!

‘I just remember building up to that I just felt really isolated and lonely, which is really weird because it’s a TV show so there’s always medics around and they’re always keeping an eye on you, but when your body’s shutting down it’s a really lonely feeling.

‘I think I remember saying, “Don’t leave me,” as if anyone was going to leave me!’
If the teaser for next week is anything to go by, the rest of AJ’s stay didn’t get any easier as two bodies collide after jumping off a bridge. A slew of four-letter expletives come to mind…

But, it’s all in the name of charity and support AJ and her SAS recruits visit standuptocancer.org.uk

Julian Assange and Lori Loughlin become cellmates with Tekashi69 in hilariously savage SNL sketch

Saturday Night Live just couldn’t simply let the opportunity to mock all of the recent celebrity arrests pass them by, so took Lori Loughlin, Michael Avenetti, Julian Assange and Tekashki69 and threw them all in one jail together for their latest savage cold open.

The regular satirical comedy show had a lot to play with this week, and brought in special guest Michael Keaton to become the eccentric Wikileaks owner who was kicked out of the Ecuadorian embassy’s protection and arrested last week.

It doesn’t take long for a battle over who the craziest person in lock up is to begin – and the first celebrity face to make an appearance is Lori Loughlin.

Having more money than sense, the played-up version of the actress (taken on by Kate McKinnon), bragged about the $500k she splashed on getting her daughter into USC and the $300k she spent on tuition fees – only for her offspring to major in communications and become an Instagram Influencer.

She later revealed she’d also paid her way into a Muslim brotherhood for protection for another $100,000, plus a second £100k for them to stop making fun of her.

Loughlin, who was one of 50 people arrested for bribing colleges to get their children into the schools, then protested she had ‘seen hell’ and told her fellow inmates: ‘You think prison’s hard? I’ve done 68 Hallmark movies!’

Next a bald Pete Davidson appears as Michael Avenetti to brag about the about his capability to have a porn star want to distance herself from him, his consideration to run for president, and his numerous other, unnamed, offences.

But then Michael Keaton swoops in as the newly incarcerated Julian Assange, blowing everyone else’s craziness out of the water as he provokes one of the other inmates with information he has on what they hide in their notes, and the number of genital pics he has stored on his phone.

Throw in Tekashi69, who downplays his convictions as ‘just guns and stuff’ and you have one hell of a bizarre cell on your hands.

Question is – who would you want in a cell with you?

Spice Girls have zero plans to make new music ruining all our hopes and dreams

Emma Bunton has only gone and broken all our hearts by confirming the Spice Girls won’t be releasing any more music.

That’s right, Mel B (Scary), Mel C (Sporty), Victoria Beckham (Posh), Geri Horner (Ginger) and Emma’s Baby have pulled the plug on getting back into the studio any time soon.

Announcing the news on Sunday Brunch ahead of their tour (sans Victoria), Emma told presenters Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy: ‘No, we’re not doing more music, sorry.

‘If it organically happens, then maybe, but no we’re not.’

Despite the blow, Emma has dropped a solo album for the first time in 12 years, and it includes a track with Will Young, so you know, swings and roundabouts.

It’s all been kicking off between the girl group too, with tensions between Mel B and Geri beginning to brew again when Mel B claimed she had sex with with her band mate when they were at the height of fame.

Geri has fiercely denied reports and allegedly ‘doesn’t want to be in the same room’ as her co-star.

The Spice Girls, who are embarking on a sold out UK tour next month, are set to begin rehearsals on Monday, with Emma teasing that it’s ‘all going to kick off’ between Mel B and Geri.

She added: ‘They’ve [Geri and Mel] got to face each other and they’ve got to be in the same room.’

Sunday Brunch airs Sundays at 9.30am on Channel 4.

Britain’s Got Talent 2019: Who are the Golden Buzzer acts so far?

Britain’s Got Talent 2019 already has two Golden Buzzer acts under its belt, two shows into the series.

We’ve already seen the choices of David Walliams and Simon Cowell, with Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Ant and Dec still to hit the magic golden button for an act of their choice.

The lucky five will each win themselves an automatic place in the live shows later this series – but who’s been picked so far?

Here’s who’s already secured that semi-final place…

Flakefleet Primary School

Act: School choir

Chosen by: David Walliams

The first Golden Buzzer of the series, Flakefleet Primary School – led by head teacher Dave McPartlin – won their way through to the live shows with their lively rendition of Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now – which saw them don a variety of colourful costumes to literally act out the lyrics.

The delightfully chaotic performance – which began with McPartlin telling the judges that some of the choir ‘are great singers, some are just enthusiastic’ – had panel and crowd on their feet, and moved Walliams to tears.

‘You’re just one of the most joyous things I’ve ever seen, and you’ve made all our hearts soar today, It’s what you want your childhood to be like and what you want your children’s childhood to be like, just full of unbridled joy. So this is what I think!’ he said before hitting the Golden Buzzer.

‘That was absolute chaos and absolute joy,’ Alesha Dixon added. ‘Thank you so much.’

Kojo Anim

Act: Comedian

Chosen by: Simon Cowell

Kojo Anim has been a stand-up comedian for 20 years and has organised weekly comedy nights as well as working with the likes of Dave Chapelle and Kevin Hart – whom he previously opened for at Wembley in 2014.

‘I’ve been doing comedy for 20 years. I’ve spent most of those 20 years encouraging young comedians and helping big-name comedians – opening up for them,’ he explained.

‘Having a son has really drummed home how important it is that I make something of myself.’

He has also known Alesha Dixon for years – but it was Simon Cowell who sent him on his way to the live shows after a routine which included gags about black cabs, childhood, money and being a dad.

‘I’m going to be honest, I don’t really like comedians on this show…but I love you,’ he concluded before hitting the Golden Buzzer.

Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday night on ITV at 8pm.

Definitive Game Of Thrones season 8 episode 1 drinking game

With the premiere of Game Of Thrones season eight landing on screens overnight, it only makes sense for the more hardcore of fans to partake in a game to wet the whistle.

We’ve waited all but two years for this dang thing to wrap up on our screens so it’s fair we pour one out to the ones we’ve lost and cheers among pals for the storyline of wonder to conclude in all its epicness.

Sure we’re sad the finale is upon us, but we’re way too eager to find out once and for all if anyone worthy will land on that Iron Throne once the curtain closes.

So for that, we’ve created a definitive drinking game (for you to partake in only if you’re over 18, and sensibly, may we remind you) to get you in the mood and make sure you’re really taking in all George RR Martin has to offer in these final moments.

  • Any time you see boobs: Drink.
  • Unnecessary sex scene? Drink.
  • When Jon Snow’s bastardry is brought up: Finish your drink.

  • One of the main characters rides a dragon: Take a shot.
  • Mention of Winter (whether it’s coming, it’s here, whatever): Drink.

You’re probably well and truly into things by now…

  • Every time Cersei Lannister drinks, you drink.

  • Tormund swoons over Brienne Of Tarth: Finish your goblet.
  • Jon and Dany share a smouldering look: Throw your dang drink at the TV.
  • Daenerys quotes her full name (Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons, FYI): Take a shot.

  • Ned Stark is mentioned in any way: Pour one out.

  • Bran wargs and says something that makes zero sense: Drink.

Oh he’s done it now (Picture: HBO)

Following a dramatic and intense seventh season, fans have been left waiting to find out the fate of the characters in Westeros, including who will sit on the Iron Throne and who can survive the attack of the White Walkers.

Season seven saw many of our favourite characters reunite including sister Arya and Sansa Stark, as well as Jaime and Tyrion Lannister. It also saw some meet for the first time when Daenarys finally arrived in Westeros.

The final episode of last season also saw the two Stark sisters unite at Winterfell, and by being one step ahead of Littlefinger they were able to outsmart him and the schemer ended the series with his throat slit.

Jaime Lannister also decided that he was going to fight alongside his enemies to fight against the White Walkers and their army.

Bran Stark also revealed to Sam that Jon Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryan who married in secret – will he claim the Iron Throne?

All will begin to be revealed in mere hours, people – hours.

Game of Thrones season eight premieres on HBO tonight and will air on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV on 15 April.

The BFI are continuing their annual TV Fest across this weekend, with debuts of new TV shows including Years & Years and Ghosts giving viewers a sneak peek into what’s to come.

Can one of them hold the key to a new favourite?

Composer Howard Goodall, who announced the results, told The Guardian about the secret behind what makes a song so successful.

‘Who doesn’t feel uplifted by the Match of the Day theme? That’s because it was specially written for a particular job and for a particular audience,’ he said.

‘It’s the complex cousin of an advertising jingle: it sells Doctor Foster or Black Beauty or Sherlock. The art of persuasion in 40 seconds.’

Sherlock is available now on Netflix and BBC iPlayer.

Britain’s Got Talent issues warning as Jonathan Goodwin sets himself on fire in controversial audition

Britain’s Got Talent issued a warning to viewers after contestant Jonathan Goodwin set himself alight as part of his controversial audition.

The expert escapologist was strapped into a straight jacket by members of the production team and then had petrol poured over him, all in a bid to wow Simon Cowell, Amanda, Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

Jonathan, who had covered his face with fire retardant gel, hung upside down in the air and was set on fire by his assistant, causing the audience and judges to gasp.

‘It’s so close to his face!’ yelled Amanda in shock.

‘This is ridiculous,’ cried presenter Declan Donnelly from the side of the stage as paramedics, fire wardens, health and safety officials looked on from the sidelines.

Britain’s Got Talent shared the thrilling video on the show’s official Twitter, instructing viewers: ‘DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

Jonathan set himself on fire for his Britain’s Got Talent audition (Picture: Rex)

‘Jonathan Goodwin sets himself ON FIRE in incredible escape act! Watch Jonathan attempt the unthinkable – escaping from a straight jacket, while hanging upside down and on fire.’

Although Jonathan has been honing his craft since the age of 7 and performing dangerous acts since the age of 21, many viewers complained about the footage, deeming it inappropriate to be broadcast before the watershed.

‘Someone pouring petrol over themselves and setting themselves alight is not good entertainment, especially before 9pm,’ wrote one. ‘My daughter loves this show and now, because of acts like this, I cannot afford to let her watch it anymore.’

Another echoed a similar sentiment, adding: ‘That is not entertaining, it’s bloody irresponsible. The repercussions if it goes wrong aren’t worth the cheap thrill it offers.’

Not everyone was disappointed though, as some thought he should have been given a golden buzzer.

One mused: ‘That was brilliant, but scary to watch.’

An official spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘Britain’s Got Talent takes the safety of our acts very seriously, health and safety is always of the highest standard and we have the relevant professionals on hand for acts.’

Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturdays at 8pm on ITV.

Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey has opened up about filming for the show while having postnatal depression.

The 45-year-old mum-of-two, who plays Cersei Lannister in the HBO franchise which kicks off with its eighth season tonight, battled with the illness shortly after giving birth to her son Wylie Loughran, who she shares with ex-husband Peter.

‘It was horrendous – I had post-natal depression but I didn’t know it,’ she recalled to The Sun.

‘I saw a doctor for the medical check and I just burst into tears.’

HBO
Lena said it was ‘tricky’ juggling postnatal depression and filming for the show (Picture: HBO)

Lena, who welcomed a daughter in 2015, continued to the publication: ‘I did the first year [of Game of Thrones] in that space, figuring out motherhood and going through a weird time personally. It was tricky.’

Game of Thrones is gearing up for its final season set to air in the US tonight and we’ve got your back with an epic drinking game.

Lena has already hinted at an early death for Cersei as she teased that her character doesn’t meet Daenerys Targaryen’s famous dragons, and we know that she’s high up on Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) kill list.

Although the cast has remained tight-lipped over what will happen, they’ve teased all sorts, with showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss admitting that some fans are going to hate the ending.

Dan said: ‘We want people to love it. It matters a lot to us. We’ve spent 11 years doing this.

‘We also know no matter what we do, even if it’s the optimal version, that a certain number of people will hate the best of all possible versions.

‘There is no version where everybody says, “I have to admit, I agree with every other person on the planet that this is the perfect way to do this” — that’s an impossible reality that doesn’t exist.’

Game Of Thrones series eight returns 14 April on Sky One and is available to watch on NOW TV.

Just how will Game Of Thrones end? We’ll know soon enough (Picture: HBO)

The moment Game Of Thrones fans have been waiting for is almost here – as season eight is set to debut in the US and the UK tonight.

The show has come a long way since Ned Stark first left Winterfell back in season one, with many character deaths, others changing their allegiances and others who have survived the journey developing into very different people.

The seventh season was a pretty dramatic and intense one – and we can’t imagine that the show’s long-awaited final season will be any different.

But what time does the new series kick off on both sides of the pond?

What time does Game of Thrones season eight start on Sky Atlantic?

The new season of Game Of Thrones kicks off in the US on HBO at 9pm Eastern standard time.

The good news is that UK viewers – if they’re prepared to stay up that is – will get it at the exact same time, with the show being simulcast on Sky Atlantic at 2am on Monday morning.

And it seems a whole lot of you might just be pulling an all-nighter to tune in, in order to avoid potential spoilers from the folks across the pond who’ve already seen it.

According to research from Culture Trip, it’s estimated that around 3.1m people might just be calling in sick to work the next day as they stay up to watch it.

If you choose not to though then don’t worry – as the episode is also airing on Sky Atlantic at 9pm on Monday night.

How many episodes are there in the new series?

Game of Thrones Season 8 Official Trailer
There are just six instalments this time but it’s still set to be pretty epic (Picture: HBO)

The final series is shorter than its predecessors, with just six instalments to look forward to.

However the episodes are longer than previous ones, meaning you still get the same amount of action – not to mention some pretty epic scenes, including one battle scene which left all the cast members drained.

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya, explained how challenging it was when she said: ‘You can’t get sick, and you have to look out for yourself because there’s so much to do that nobody else can do… there are moments you’re just broken as a human.’

Jennifer Saunders nearly killed off Absolutely Fabulous’s Patsy and Eddie – but Joanna Lumley declares they’ll ‘live forever’

Joanna Lumley has declared that Absolutely Fabulous’ Patsy and Eddie will ‘never die’ and even survived nearly being killed off by show-writer Jennifer Saunders.

Saunders and Lumley have become cult icons thanks to the BBC sitcom, which has spawned movies, series, and reboots with a glass of StoliBoli in each hand, darling.

But Saunders, who on top of writing the show also starred as Eddie, partner-in-crime to Lumley’s Patsy, apparently wanted to end the troublesome duo in a more permanent way.

Speaking at the BFI TV Festival this weekend, Lumley told the audience: ‘I utterly adore [Patsy]. The thing is, she can’t be destroyed.’

‘I hope I’m not saying anything out of turn, but Jennifer said, “Shall we just kill them off and bury them?”,’ she confessed. ‘I wrote back the fastest email return I’ve ever written back.’

‘I said, “No, we’ve promised the world we will never die!”’

And to be honest if all that vodka and champagne they’ve necked over the years hasn’t done the job, then why on earth would their creator be able to do it?!

As part of the retrospective on Lumley’s career for Radio Times’ Hall Of Fame, it was also revealed that a new travel series would soon go into production, with the star focusing on Cuba.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Saunders has started work on a slightly different role to Patsy – and is trading in the comedy for dramatic role in new Netflix series, The Stranger.

Speaking about the role after the announcement, Jennifer said: ‘I’m delighted to be playing Heidi in this new Harlan Coben drama.

‘There is a great cast and production team with strong credentials lined up and we are all looking forward to starting filming.’

It’s not known what will become of Heidi just yet – but we know the character is on the hunt for adventure after her daughter flies the nest and heads to university.

Absolutely Fabulous is available now on Netflix.

Game Of Thrones’ fans convinced Jaime Lannister will die in arms of woman he loves

Is Jamie going to make it through to the end of the series? (Picture: HBO)

We are now so, so, so close to the Game Of Thrones final season starting and yet we’re still unearthing heartbreaking fan theories that are making us nervous just thinking about them.

However, this new one is not only sweet, but it predicts an end for a character that we think is kind of appropriate.

A fan has posted on ye olde faithful Reddit the theory that Jaime Lannister, the warrior who has been sleeping with his sister Cersei for decades, will die in the arms of the woman he loves.

…But it’s not going to be Cersei, it’s going to be his right-hand woman, Brienne Of Tarth.

Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) have managed in a world full of pillaging and backstabbing to create a loyal bond that fans have been clinging on to as one bright moment in the seriously horrible world of Westeros.

So if the Kingslayer himself is going to die in battle.

Picture: HBO Jaime going to die in the arms of Brienne
Jaime and Brienne have become loyal friends as the complicated Game Of Thrones took serious twists (Picture: HBO)

The theory goes as follows: ‘Jaime mentions to Bronn in Dorne that he wants to die in the arms of the woman he loves. He’s obviously talking about Cersei.’

‘But with Jaime and Brienne fighting wights in Winterfell, I anticipate Jamie will die in some valiant manner (perhaps getting Bran to safety – poetic redemption) and Brienne will cradle him in her arms at his passing,’ they added.

‘Jaime does love Brienne (romantic or not) so this would be an interesting twist.’

The theory ends with Brienne going back to King’s Landing to tell the tale of Jaime’s heroic deeds (perhaps possibly leaving out the incest in the process).

Just a few hours to go guys – we can do this!

Season 8 of Game of Thrones is about to get underway with the final six episodes set to bring plenty of misery for some of our favourite characters.

The the White Walkers now descending on Westeros it has become impossible to predict what will happen next and what fate awaits each of the characters.

Viewers will finally get some answers this weekend when the first episode is aired, with each new episode set to be longer than ever.

If you’re wondering when will be your earliest opportunity to watch the new season, then here is everything that you need to know.

Game Of ThronesNikolaj Coster-Waldau has pointed out that Jaime Lannister looked like Prince Charming from Shrek and we can’t unsee it.

The 48-year-old Danish star referred to his HBO character’s look in the debut season, which aired back in 2011, where his long locks and a middle parting transformed him into a real-life version of the Dreamworks heir.

‘I think I was the first one to mention it,’ Nikolaj said in a video for Wired Autocomplete Interview, ‘but at the beginning of Game Of Thrones he looked like Prince Charming from Shrek.’

The actor also said he bared resemblance to Lost’s James ‘Sawyer’ Ford (Josh Holloway), as well as his mum.

Nikolaj isn’t the only Game Of Thrones star to have a lookalike, oh no.

Tyrion Lannister’s Peter Dinklage has a doppelganger called Rozi Khan, who lives and works in Pakistan.

The 25-year-old, who is exactly the same height as the 49-year-old actor at four feet and five inches, explained that he ‘doesn’t mind’ being stopped for photos.

‘A lot of my pictures have been taken, that’s why I have become very famous everywhere,’ he told AFP.

‘Wherever I go, someone says to me: “Sir, who is this man with you on Facebook”, I say that [Peter] is my friend. “He looks like you”. I tell them he is my brother. It’s not a bad thing.’

Kit Harington’s Jon Snow also has an incredible lookalike called Zak McIntosh, who had been mobbed by fans back when he dressed in the grand cloaks of The Night’s Watch at Sacramento’s Wizard World Comic Con in 2016.

Eagle-eyed Friends fan spots Phoebe Buffay moving ‘faster than light’ in pilot episode blunder

Phoebe Buffay announced she’d pulled out four eyelashes in the blunder (Picture: Netflix)

Eagle-eyed Friends fans have noticed a continuity error from the first ever episode involving Phoebe Buffay’s Lisa Kudrow.

Phoebe is seen telling Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) that she’s pulled out four eyelashes, before appearing next to Paul The Wine Guy (John Allen Nelson) and sipping on a mug of tea – making it look as though she moved from one place to the other in record-breaking time.

The editing blunder was raised by one fan on Reddit, with the original poster sharing a video and commenting: ‘Paul the wine guy gives Phoebe a weird look after saying something, but somehow, Phoebe manages to move to the sofa faster than light.’

One fan offered up an incredible explanation though, writing on the post: ‘To ruin the magic and fun, here’s an explanation… I think this is one of those instances where the re-scanning of the original negatives (as part of the HD restoration process) has revealed something that was never meant to be in frame.

‘All the original episodes had the sides cropped out for 4:3 television broadcast, the remastered edition occasionally shows bits in the frame you’re not meant to see. It’s not too noticeable in Friends, except for situations like this.’

Sounds legit.

Another Reddit user offered a brilliant excuse though, writing: ‘That’s Ursula obviously.’

Earlier this year, Friends fans noticed something really creepy in the episode The One With Rachel’s New Dress, involving a statue.

The season four episode saw Rachel plan a romantic date for her love interest as they prepared to spend their first night together, however things went a little haywire when Joshua’s fear of farm birds was ignited after seeing Joey and Chander’s duck and rooster.

But viewers were more taken aback by the fact a sculpture with bright red eyes was staring them down in the background.

Another pointed out a glaring Jack (Elliott Gould) and Judy Gellar (Christina Pickles) blooper from 2002’s The One In Massapequa.

They realised that there’s a photo frame containing a picture of the couple where they’re wearing exactly the same clothes as they have on for the episode, whoops.

Friends is available to stream on Netflix.

Our Planet makes our hearts burst with adorable otter self-care routine we should all listen to

Our Planet has been absolutely brutal about their depiction of the troubles the Animal Kingdom – and then there’s an otter having a bath and suddenly our day is bright again.

The little furry creature decided to take a day off and make the most of its time in the sun and hit the water for a little pampering session.

It’s so cute we’ve already watched this clip alone about twenty times so we recommend you do too to counteract all the other news that may currently be bumming you out.

Knowing that the death of a walrus falling off a cliff face was upsetting viewers all over the world, Sir David Attenborough shared an otter having a little me time.

Nestling in a canopy, the little furry friend was seen bobbing about before taking their paws and giving their face a good wash.

We’ve heard seaweed wraps are particularly good for that kind of thing.

Our mission in life is to be more like the sea otters (Picture: Netflix)

‘Sea Otters have the densest fur of any animal, and such a luxuriant coat requires a great deal of attention,’ Sir David explains.

Looking like he could be having a little sing-song (that’s definitely not a thing in our heads at all), the otter looks like they’re having a blast as they spent some much needed downtime.

Zoella would be quaking if the otter knew how to do beauty tutorials on YouTube, we’re just saying.

Lesson learned: self-care is extremely important, and Attenborough documentaries make everything better.

Now our day feels 1000x brighter and we hope yours does too. You’re welcome.

What characters will we bid farewell to this season? (Picture: HBO)

Game of Thrones returns to HBO tonight for its eighth and final season.

People have been waiting across the country with bated breath for the newest season with 3.1 million people rumoured to be considering pulling a sicky so they can stay up late enough to watch it.

Despite knowing not to get too attached to characters in the show, it’s difficult not to reserve a place in your heart for some of the show’s most enduring characters (e.g. Jon Snow can never die, and that is a fact).

So, who looks like they’ll be next on the chopping block, and who looks likely to survive season 8? We’ve listed out the odds and predictions below, courtesy of Paddy Power.

Who will die in Game of Thrones season 8?

Let’s cut to the chase: what characters are unlikely to see it to the end of the final season?

According to odds from Paddy Power, Cersei Lannister is almost definitely a goner. Euron Greyjoy’s odds don’t look great either, though.

George Osborne won’t be happy.

Odds to die, listed in order of likelihood.

  • 1/50 – Cersei Lannister
  • 1/33 – Euron Greyjoy
  • 1/8 – Jorah Mormont
  • 1/8 – Jaime Lannister
  • 1/8 – Lord Varys
  • 2/9 – Daenerys Targaryen
  • 2/9 – Melisandre
  • 1/3 – The Hound
  • 2/5 – Tyrion Lannister

Could this be the end of the road for Euron Greyjoy? (Picture: HBO)

Who will live in Game of Thrones season 8?

Let’s flip the question round and look at who is expected to live through to the end of the season.

It’s looking good for the Stark family with Sansa top rated to survive, with an 83% chance. The odds are also good for Bran and Arya.

Odds to live, listed in order of likelihood.

  • 1/5 – Samwell Tarly
  • 1/5 – Sansa Stark
  • 1/4 – Lyanna Mormont
  • 2/7 – Gilly
  • 4/11 – Bran Stark
  • 4/11 – Gendry
  • 4/7- Arya Stark
  • 4/7 – Missandei

Who will rule Westeros at the end of season 8?

This is a spicy one: who is likely to rule Westeros at the end of this season? The general consensus – according to bookmakers – is the Three-Eyed Raven.

However, the odds of Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen, or any of their children, are pretty good too at 3/1. (!!)

Odds to rule Westero, listed in order of likelihood.

  • 10/11 –  Bran Stark
  • 3/1 – Any child of Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen
  • 3/1 – Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen
  • 4/1 – Daenerys Targaryen
  • 7/1 – Sansa Stark
  • 7/1 – Tyrion Lannister
  • 9/1 – Gendry
  • 10/1 – Sam Tarley
  • 11/1 – The Night King
  • 12/1 – Cersei Lannister
  • 12/1 – Petry Baelish
  • 14/1 – Arya Stark

Who is the Night King?

Finally,  who is the Night King? Odds – and the internet – seem to place the likliehood with Bran Stark. But if we’ve learned anything from the last seven seasons, it’s that we can never second guess anything.

Odds of beimg the Night King, listed in order of likelihood.

  • 10/11 – Bran Stark
  • 3/1 –  Any child of Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen
  • 3/1 – Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen
  • 4/1 –  Daenerys Targaryen
  • 7/1 – Sansa Stark
  • 7/1 –  Tyrion Lannister
  • 9/1 – Gendry
  • 10/1 – Sam Tarley
  • 11/1 – The Night King
  • 12/1 – Cersei Lannister
  • 12/1 – Petry Baelish
  • 14/1 – Arya Stark

Who is Line Of Duty’s corrupt officer ‘H’? (Picture: BBC)

Line Of Duty has been gearing up for a central character to become corrupt officer ‘H’ since the series began – and we might not find out who they are for a while.

Showrunner Jed Mercurio confirmed at the BFI and Radio Times Television Festival 2019 that he laid the foundations for the storyline right at the start, telling audiences that he purposely gave a bunch of AC-12 names beginning with ‘H’ to facilitate the plot.

The creator also quashed rumours on the number of suspects, revealing: ‘There aren’t 28 – there are about six, aren’t there?’

Jed continued: ‘Sometimes there were characters whose name could be corrupted or nicknamed into being an “H” if I wanted to, so some of the characters were given names where they could have been revealed as having an “H” connection if it was required.

We’re looking at you Deputy Chief Constable Derek Hilton (Paul Higgins), DCS Lester Hargreaves (Tony Pitts), and of course, Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) and his estranged wife Roisin Hastings (Andrea Irvine).

Jed also confirmed that he has known exactly who ‘H’ was going to be since he orchestrated the plot, however confessed that he’d change the culprit if he came across a better idea – suggesting we might not find out for a really long time.

‘I suppose if I had an idea later on that was even better then, yeah, of course I would change it – because you want it to be as good as possible and surprising and so forth,’ he added.

Although the identity of the corrupt copper still remains a complete mystery, a new theory suggests DS Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) is the one to watch out for.

DS Kate has been the ringleader in raising doubts about Ted and has worked undercover a number of times.

Is she using Ted as a scapegoat? Only time will tell…

Game Of Thrones death preparation guide: Everyone you love is going to die

$

It’s going to happen (Picture: HBO)

We need to prepare ourselves because Game Of Thrones season eight is coming. Tonight.

The last chapter. The final hurrah.

And while we might have been lucky these past couple seasons, with the exception of Hodor and Ned Stark, no one we really, really love and hold dear and were rooting for to make it to the Iron Throne has met their maker.

Yet.

That’s not to say it won’t happen this eve when the latest series kicks off in the early hours. Far from it.

If anything, George RR Martin has been stockpiling our favourite characters to make sure we get super attached to them, only to rip them away from us in a few short weeks.

Isn’t that sweet?

Cersei drinks Game Of Thrones
Cersei with the grand plan to help us through (Picture: HBO)

Visme, a data visualisation tool, illustrated the probability of each of the main characters meeting a grisly end (or, for the non-dramatic, an end), using the latest betting odds doing the rounds. So we thought it fitting we figure out which ones meant the most to us so we can prepare our sore hearts for the end.

Because much like winter, death is definitely coming.

Sansa Stark

Sansa is more tactical and less on the battlefield, so there isn’t much of a risk of her being killed in a horrid way.

However, we’ve had so many close calls with this Lady (Ramsay Bolton, for one…Joffrey Baratheon another; don’t forget that random guard who nearly raped her in season one) there is a fine chance she may die this season for a totally arbitrary reason, like falling off Winterfell.

Sansa is strong. Strong enough to withstand the end? (Picture: HBO)

Or being killed by her sister Arya.

These two sort of have this lingering rivalry (or is just us?) that came about last season, mainly through a little mistrust.

Arya so wants to cross everyone off her list, Sansa wants Winterfell to rule. So, honestly, they have differing ambitions. But Arya is also this cold-blooded killer now so she won’t hesitate to stick the Needle to Sans, should her sis get in the way.

At least, we believe, should Sansa die it’ll leave a smouldering hole in our very souls.

Arya Stark

Big chance our mate Arya will bite the bullet and taste the metal of a killer’s sword. Still, much like Sansa, she’s done well to avoid death thus far.

Arya has done so well (Picture: HBO)

Especially seeing as she spent time as part of those faceless people who basically killed their minutes slaying others. Then she went blind and one of them turned on her and that was really a wild ride for a season there.

While The Hound isn’t coming back for her any time soon (we assume…) the crafty warrior has made many an enemy since being smuggled out of King’s Landing way back in season one after the execution of Ned Stark (RIP, never forgotten).

Just because she’s tucked up sweetly in Winterfell doesn’t mean the bad guys won’t come for her. We best ready the tissues should she lose a battle in a few weeks.

This is one we’re not prepared for, but should be.

Jon Snow

He’s died once, can he die again?

What does series eight have in store? (Picture: HBO)

Our favourite pouty secret-Targaryen is on the frontline this series as he brings his ladylove/aunt Daenerys back to Westeros in their united fight for the Iron Throne.

Right now he doesn’t know he has a claim on it – the same claim Daenerys has as a blood-born Targaryen – so once all that comes out in the wash we can only expect Dany is going to go rip-roaring mad, call traitor and get her dragons onto him.

That and the two will surely come up against Cersei, who is currently sitting on the throne after killing everyone she knows or loves (directly or indirectly). Cersei won’t GAF if we love Jon. Cersei doesn’t care about our feelings at all.

At least we have dealt with a Jon Snow death before (and boy did that come out of the blue) – we can live through another. Just.

Cersei Lannister

C’mon, there’s at least a 90% chance she carks it this season. And we’re ready.

She’s smiling now… (Picture: HBO)

Cersei has enraged everyone that could potentially be on her side. The Mountain is the only guy who would actually fight for her if it came down to a man-to-man battle and he’s dead. So what does he know.

We can only assume someone boss like Sansa will make the final blow after she was exposed to so much abuse during her time as Joffrey’s first intended wife and ‘little dove’.

Either that, or someone like Arya, who witnessed her father’s execution, egged on by Cersei, will stick it to her after she was shunned from the city afterwards.

Actually, no, Tyrion Lannister should have that final moment with her. As long-tortured brother, he killed their dad and Cersei isn’t that big a leap.

G’won Tyrion, do your best.

Please note: we’re not so much preparing for Cersei’s death like it’s going to hurt, it’s more so to prepare our cheer. Sorry, Cers. You’ve got it comin’.

Daenerys Targaryen

She’s got a lot of enemies, but if she can survive the dothraki, she can surely make it in King’s Landing, right?

One of the biggest bosses (Picture: HBO)

After many an attempt on her life, after fleeing Westeros as a kidlet following the topple of the Targaryen rule at the hands of Robert’s Rebellion, Daenerys can’t make it to the eighth season to falter at the finish line, right?

Oh, yes she can.

If we’ve learnt anything about the mighty bard George RR it that’s he really craves that heartbreak. Why, we wouldn’t be surprised if he got Dany so close to the Iron Throne (and Jon Snow) to then have her accidentally scorched by her dragons at the final hurdle.

Wait, she can survive fire. Accidentally sat on, then.

Should she bite it in the finale, this one is really going to sting.

And the fact Emilia Clarke, who plays the actress, said once she read the ending she walked around London for three hours in a daze doesn’t bode well…

If you take on board anything we say, it’s to prepare for this one.

Tyrion Lannister

The comedic relief, yet powerful presence alongside Dany and Jon, Tyrion is someone who is on borrowed time, let’s be completely honest with ourselves here.

Moving on.

Brienne Of Tarth

She’s proven herself a pretty trusty companion to both Sansa and Jaime Lannister. But being a warrior and also someone who has sacrificed herself many a time to save whoever she’s been charged to protect, it’s only a matter of time before someone takes her up on that sacrificial offer.

We can only hope she doesn’t meet The Mountain. At least give her a fair departure, George.

No more skull smashing, please.

Theon Greyjoy

This one will suck because we sort of came to like Theon after he transformed into Reek.

But, yeah, he’s definitely going to die and we’re okay with that.

Luckily we can hazard a guess no one major (maybe just Euron Greyjoy, but he’s a bad guy) is going to bite the dust in the first couple episodes.

Prepare yourselves now. Death is coming.

Game Of Thrones series eight returns 14 April. And is available to watch on NOW TV.

Ricky Gervais confronts Gordon Ramsey after brag he used ‘pet’ lambs in food

The unearthed clip has made a reappearance on Reddit (Picture: Channel 4)

Ricky Gervais has always been an animal lover – and he made sure that Gordon Ramsay knew it in an unearthed video from the 2007 series, The F Word.

The sweary chef dropped by the table to Ricky and other half Jane Fallon when they decided to make an appearance at his restaurant.

Having just eaten a Shepherd’s Pie from the menu, Gordon was pleased that he got the comedian’s seal of approval.

However when Ricky discovers that the lamb meat he had just eaten was reared in the back garden of Gordon’s family home – and the lamb even had a name – he was left upset and confronted the star about it.

‘So hang on, they were basically your pets!’ Ricky asked, to which Gordon defended it and said: ‘They weren’t pets. You can’t fall into the habit of letting them become pets, although they are very friendly to begin with. You’ve got to distance yourself from them.

‘Yeah, but when’s it going to end?’ Ricky shot back. ‘You and Jeremy Clarkson in a helicopter shooting your cousins? “Oh I kept my distance from them, I didn’t know them when I was growing up?”’

While they both appeared to be joking, Ricky couldn’t help but rib Gordon for trying to catch the attention of women, adding: ‘You came through the restaurant the other week with a stag – who do you think you are? Thor?!’

‘I’d rather know that animal had a wonderful life and was killed humanely,’ Ricky added, before Gordon dug himself a bigger hole by giving the lamb from the pie a name – Gavin.

‘Why would you do that? When you buy it in Tesco, there’s not a name!’

Thankfully though they cleared the air with European products with rude sounding names – including Plopp chocolate and Spunk vodka.

Shot 12 years ago, Ricky is now a huge animal rights advocate, and frequently informs people about the unfair treatment of animals and what we can do to take better care of them.

He even completely fell in love with the dog he had hired for his new Netflix series After Life, and has frequently spoken about his love for the pooch while promoting the series.

Even Gordon seems to have been won round by the idea of vegan diets and vegetarian lifestyles – and the once proud meat-eater proudly released an all-vegan roast in his restaurants last year.

After Life is available now on Netflix.
