It’s almost time to say goodbye to Penny, Leonard, Sheldon, Amy and the rest of the gang, as season 12, which is going to be the last ever season of the hit show, draws to a close.
As we steel ourselves for the end of The Big Bang Theory, here’s what we know about the air date of the final episode.
When is the last episode of The Big Bang Theory going to air?
Unfortunately, no official air-date has been given for the finale in the UK, but across the pond in the US, the last episode of The Big Bang Theory is going to be shown next week on Thursday, 16 May, 2019.
Meanwhile in the UK, we’re a little bit behind our American cousins, and the latest episode we saw was episode 21, The Plagiarism Schism, which aired on E4 Thursday 9 May.
The next one, The Maternal Conclusion, is due to be shown on the same channel on Thursday 16 May at 8pm.
Each episode of the show usually lasts for just under half an hour, however this last episode will be a one hour double-bill.
Due to the fact that, after The Maternal Conclusion airs, there will be only two episodes left, and both of these are airing on the same day in America, it’s safe to say that these final two make up the finale of TBBT, and that they will be airing the week after next – likely on another Thursday, which would be 23 May.
Until the official announcement is made however, all we can do is guess…
Ingrid Oliver says she’s still holding out hope for a reunion (Picture: BBC)
Ingrid Oliver, also known as Oswood in Doctor Who, says she wants to work alongside Jodie Whittaker as Thirteen, and we couldn’t be more on board.
Oliver played the scientist who works for the evil-battling UNIT organization for four episodes of the show between 2013 and 2015, but says she’s still holding out for a reunion – and she’s got a particular co-star in mind.
Chatting to Entertainment Weekly, Ingrid said: ‘Osgood never got to go in the TARDIS, and I think that’s such a shame, and I’d love her to be with a female Doctor as well.’
She said she’d love to see the character working alongside Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteen, adding: ‘I think Osgood and a woman Doctor would be brilliant. I still work for UNIT, as far as I’m concerned!’

However, according to this year’s New Year special, UNIT no longer exists. In Resolution, the Doctor demands to speak to Kate Stewart at UNIT, only to be redirected to a special armed forces helpline.
‘UNIT operations have been suspended pending a review of funding,’ she’s told.
Fans of Oliver will get to see her again, though; the British actress is currently starring alongside Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson in new film The Hustle, and she admitted that filming was an entirely new kind of experience.
‘This was my first big American movie and the difference is quite striking,’ she told EW. ‘Just in terms of the money, and the perks, and where you get to film, and stuff like that. If you wanted a smoothie, you could have a smoothie — which was completely insane.
‘Anne paid for a crepe truck one day, which was amazing. I absolutely loved every minute of it. I’m now going to be very difficult and a diva when I go back to BBC productions.’
Lifestyles of the rich and famous, eh?

Daenerys Targaryen maybe angry, but she’s not The Mad Queen (Picture: HBO)
If history’s taught us anything in Game of Thrones, it’s that the penultimate episode of any series is always the deadliest so season 8 episode 5 will be the moment key players we either love – or love to hate – will perish in an unimaginably gruesome fashion.
After Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) lost her dragon Rhaegal to a spear fired by Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek), the odds are substantially stacked against her in the battle for the Iron Throne from Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
The North lost most of their army to The Night King (Vladimir Furdik), Dany lost her best pal Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and while episode four left us thirsty for a coffee, it didn’t leave us with much hope going forward.

Daenerys has lost more than anyone else in Game of Thrones season 8 (Picture: HBO)
All in all, it appears our leader is doomed.
‘Daenerys defeating Cersei will be more difficult than it would have been at the beginning of season seven, that’s for sure,’ Watchers On The Wall’s deputy editor Luka Nieto warned Metro.co.uk.
‘Her fight for the living has left her with half an army, and a third of her dragons, against a now ballista-filled capital.
I can’t see Drogon surviving the upcoming fight, but that doesn’t mean Cersei will win. It will be a phyrric victory, in which much of King’s Landing will have to burn for Cersei to be defeated, and Daenerys will lose much, perhaps including her life, or at least her queenship. We shall see.’
Another dragon death, potentially Dany’s death and the end of King’s Landing. Grim.
In turn, fans harshly predicted they’ve spotted signs she’s clearly on her way to becoming The Mad Queen, following in the footsteps of her father Aerys II Targaryen – aka The Mad King.
‘She’s only “mad” in that she’s “angry”,’ explained Luka. ‘Of course, she isn’t emotionally stable right now. No one would be, after what she’s been through. That isn’t madness. I believe her rage, however rightful, will wreak havoc on the city, but by the end we’ll see a subversion of that.
‘Daenerys may end up as a tragic figure, but she’s not evil or psychotic. Cersei is more of a “Mad Queen” than Dany ever was or will be, and she’ll prove it.’
Game of Thrones continues Sunday at 9pm on HBO and will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic here in the UK. Season one to eight are currently available to stream on NOW TV.

Tom Ellis has a great body and he’s not afraid to show it in his hit show Lucifer (Picture: NETFLIX)
Tom Ellis promised fans that he would be flashing more flesh in the new season of Lucifer and it’s safe to say the actor has totally delivered the goods .
The fact season four of Lucifer is currently available on Netflix was already making fans of the show happier than ever, but they received even more answers to their prayers when the show gave them a full view of the actor’s impressive bod in the episode, Orgy Pants to Work.
Lucifer and LAPD forensic scientist Ella (Aimee Garcia) visit a nudist colony as part of their investigation about a murdered auditor and the stars happily took it all off for the cheeky episode.
They only had carefully placed items and props, such as bowls of fruit, to protect their modesty in the cheeky scenes.
And the Lucifer stans literally could not cope with the fact they had been blessed with so many shots of Tom’s toned physique.
‘Me seeing @tomellis17 bare ass not once, not twice, but THREE times in one season, is the BEST thing to ever happen to me. What a perfect bum,’ one tweeted.

‘not even 10 minutes in and I’ve already seen tom ellis’s bare naked ass wOw’, another added.
‘I’m convinced that Netflix saved Lucifer just so they could have shots of tom ellis basically naked. bless you Netflix…bless you,’ one fan joked.
‘@tomellis17 thanks for the bum shot, you promised and delivered #LuciferSeason4’, one fan wrote.

Fans were particularly happy about the fact Tom’s bum has been featuring a lot in the new series (Picture: NETFLIX)
‘thank you netflix for the greatest gift of all time, tom ellis naked,’ another commented.
Tom, 40, has played the title role of Lucifer since 2015 but the current season has seen his bum make a far more regular appearance than fans ever expected.
Ahead of the show’s premiere, Tom teased that the show would able to take advantage of the new freedoms they can enjoy with Netflix.

‘We can swear if we want to, we can show more flesh. That was one of those things we’ll do with the cheeky wink and a glint in the eye that we always do,’ he told the New York Post. ‘It’s not gratuitous but it’s fun. We might push it an extra 10 percent, but it hasn’t become a different show at all.’
The show is known for being quite saucy at the best of times and Netflix has really ramped up the sex appeal in their approach, which has gone down a treat with the series’ loyal followers.
Looks like Game of Thrones’s Kit Harington has some new competition in the ‘Best Butt Bare’ category.
Lucifer season 4 is currently streaming on Netflix.

The rapper boasts ‘four’ spin-offs that are in the works (Picture: Getty / Instagram)
50 Cent has announced that the upcoming season 6 of the hit crime drama Power will be the last, to the sadness of fans across the world.
The rapper, who stars in the show and acts as the executive producer, confirmed the rumour on his Instagram on Thursday.
Posting a picture wearing an all-white suit next to a cast member in a matching dress, he wrote: ‘Augs25 starts Season 6 is the final season of POWER. I have 4 spin off shows coming so don’t trip. Starz #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac’ He also included hashtags of his alcohol lines Le Chemin Du Roi and Branson Cognac.
Who and what those spin-offs will be remains a mystery, but his announcement provides a calming salve for fans of Power.
50, real name Curtis Jackson, will make his directorial debut in the final season of the show, and it will also see the return of Emmy-winning director Anthony Hemingway, who had his hand directing the first two episodes of the show back in 2014.
‘The last 5 seasons of Power have been an incredible ride for me and all of our supportive fans. We are far from over and I am excited to bring you more from the Power brand,’ Jackson wrote in a statement released the same day.
‘I am proud that I was able to put a lasting stamp on this chapter with my directorial debut in an episode that features one of the wildest scenes ever on the show.’
He added that season six will have a whopping 15 episodes (that’s almost three times season eight of Game Of Thrones).
Cast members teased fans with the prospect of a spin-off for their character. Actor Omari Hardwick, who plays James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick thanked fans, sharing a poster of Power on his Instagram along with the caption: ‘It only takes 6…& 10 million fans. We love y’all. Come rock wit us 1 mo’ gin.’
La La Anthony, who plays Lakeisha Grant wrote: ‘The final season,’ she wrote on Instagram, ‘But not the end of the story…#powertv #thefinalbetrayal #Lakeisha #season6.’

50 Cent is done with the series, but not the Power universe (Picture: Starz)
All arrows are pointing to a continuation of the Power universe. President of programming for Starz, Carmi Zlotnik, told People: ‘Season 6 brings us the end of what we know is just the first chapter of the Power story. However, as one chapter comes to an end, another will begin.
She added: ‘Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have created a world rich with complex and dynamic characters and there are a number of stories we plan to tell as we continue to explore and expand the Power Universe.
In late April he revealed that Randall had paid back $250,000 of the alleged debt.
50 chose to kill off his character Kanan Stark last season, and the fate of a number of key players lay in the balance.
The final season of Power will begin airing on 25 August on Starz network.

The couple hit it off immediately when they first met in the restaurant nearly two years ago, and Cindy left viewers in tears when she revealed her mum’s terminal brain tumour. Sadly, her mum has since passed away but she has since revealed that she died happy after seeing her find love with Elan.
‘Her very last words were to Elan when she said, “Don’t let me down”. He held her hand and told her he wouldn’t,’ Cindy told Mail Online.
‘I think she knew that he’d always be there for me.’
Shortly after their TV date, the couple met up in Manchester and have been together ever since.
‘As soon as Elan walked in, I knew he was my type looks-wise – dark, handsome and lovely teeth,’ said Cindy.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have been pictured getting argumentative on the streets of New York – but not to worry! It’s all part of filming for new project, The Morning Show.

The two A-listers announced the new show in March at an Apple event.
The series, which will premiere on Apple+ this autumn, is set to be huge for the company. Launching it on stage, Aniston said: ‘Through the prism of those under-slept, over-adrenalised people in front of and behind the camera, we take an honest look at the complex relationships between women and men in the workplace, and we engage in the conversation people are a little too afraid to have unless they’re behind closed doors.’
Witherspoon added that the series is ‘seen through the eyes of two ambitious, aspirational female characters’. She described it as a ‘high-velocity thrill ride in which we pose questions without easy answers and shine a light on the fault lines in our society at this very complicated cultural moment.’

When young adults are in charge, will chaos reign? (Picture: Netflix)
Will there be a second season of The Society?
As yet, there’s been no official word as to whether or not we’ll be seeing a second season.
Whether or not a show gets another season depends on how many people view the show in question, with the show’s creator Christopher Keyser telling Digital Spy: ‘Netflix decides that based on our viewership. So you never do know. Some shows get two seasons in initial orders. I think Sabrina did.
‘But we got a one-season order, which is usual. And then we wait, as everyone else does, to see what the audience decides.’
So if you want more of The Society, you’d be wise to recommend it to as many people as possible.
Game of Thrones ‘leak’ has fans thinking Toby Osmond will play the new Prince of Dorne (Picture: HBO, @mr.t.osmond / Instagram)
Game of Thrones viewers are full of speculation as to who will play the new Prince of Dorne.
In episode four, there was a conversation about who will stand by Daenerys’ side during the take down of Cersei Lannister.
And while not much was revealed, one of the nobles mentioned that the new Prince of Dorne will ‘pledge his alliance.’
Since then, fans have taken to Twitter, where they started to put two and two together and suggested that Toby Osmond will play the newcomer.
And they might just be on to something.
We reached out to the actor to see if he’d give up any, literally any, information about the upcoming episodes.
And while he refused to confirmed anything, he did tell us: ‘I will say Dorne is the best Kingdom.’ Is that because you’re its new prince?

The tease!
Last year it was rumoured that star was the latest addition to the GOT family, following an update on his Spotlight CV.
The bio in the document hinted at a role and claimed that Toby had finished filming for the final series of a fantasy saga.
It read: ‘Earlier this year completed filming a great royal role in the next (and final) series of an epic network fantasy saga (airing Spring 2019).’
Chatting to Metro.co.uk at the time, Toby addressed the speculation, where he said: ‘Like a lot of actors, I don’t have sole control over my Spotlight CV, but there’s a few articles saying I made a slip up, and actually I did not.’

Toby recently addressed the speculation where he called the CV update ‘explicit’ (Picture: Toby Osmond/Vimeo)
The star explained how he was busy swanning around a number of LA film festivals when the rumours started to swirl.
He continued: ‘[A publicist] actually googled me before our meeting, which was good cause I googled her, and interestingly she had information about me that I had no idea about.
‘She was like, “oh yeah, there’s loads of articles about you,” and I was like, “what? Is there now?”’
Toby laughed: ‘It was quite exciting really, it was exciting, but I viewed it with some nervous trepidation I suppose.’
Talking about his reaction when he saw his updated CV, the star said: ‘I was like, “Oh my God, ooft, yeah, this is explicit isn’t it?”
‘So, I contacted my agency and said: “Should we, urm, tone that down? Get rid of it a bit?”’

Martin Clunes, a patron for wildlife protection charity Born Free, has come under fire after riding an elephant while expressing concern about the pressure the animals come under.
Martin made the decision to climb on the majestic creature, by clinging on to his ears and walking up his trunk, for his TV show Martin Clunes: My Travels and Other Animals on ITV.
It aired on Thursday but after the shocking scenes, Born Free have spoken out and admitted that they will be talking to the actor ‘about the future’ for him at the charity.
In the show, the Doc Martin star admitted he was concerned about the ride, while discussing how using the animals for tourist purposes such as the ride was ‘a kinder life than hauling heavy logs’.
He added: ‘I am not sure it’s a fitting occupation for the largest land animal on the planet.’
Climbing up on to the elephant, he apologises and admitted he ‘didn’t want to hurt her’.

However, Will Travers, Born Free president, told The Mirror: ‘It is deeply unfortunate that Martin Clunes, while exploring the relationship between captive Asian elephants and the people of Nepal, rode a captive elephant… thereby reinforcing the perception that this is an acceptable activity.’
In a statement, ITV said: ‘Martin was immersed in the experience to allow him to show viewers an up close perspective on modern conditions and their impact on the elephants.’

‘Throughout this and in conclusion, Martin made it very clear to viewers that he had serious concerns and reservations about elephants carrying people and would prefer to see the creatures in the wild,’ it continued.
‘Any suggestion that the programme or Martin endorsed cruel treatment of elephants would be misrepresentative and deeply unfair.’

Sophie Turner has placed the blame for the now iconic rogue coffee cup in Game Of Thrones season eight episode four on Emilia Clarke.
Eagle-eyed viewers discovered a showrunner had neglected to clear the set in the episode, and as Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia) stared daggers in the direction of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), a lone coffee cup was spotted chilling on the grimy Winterfell table in front of her.
At the time we all thought it was a Starbucks cup but the real coffee master has been unmasked as a local Belfast café near set.
Now however Sophie has denied all responsibility, despite also being in the scene, and pointing to a photograph of the scene with the cup in front of actress Emila Clarke, said: ‘Well… look who is right by the cup… obviously it was Emilia.’
‘She’s the culprit!’
The shade!
Sophie was appearing on The Jimmy Fallon Show and was also treated to a surprise message from new husband Joe Jonas, who called him her biggest fan as part of a series of fan questions.
The coffee cup left everyone up in arms and the showrunners tried to justify how the modern mechanic was left in the scene.

Responding to the gaffe, which has blown up on social media, Game of Thrones art director Hauke Richte told Variety it’s not uncommon for items to end up misplaced on set, go unnoticed and appear in the final cuts of movies and TV shows.
‘Things can get forgotten on set,’ he said.
‘[The coffee cup error has been] so blown out of proportion [because] it has not happened with Thrones so far.’

You can see what went down at the party for yourself now (Picture: HBO)

Taking a peak behind the almost-too-idyllic lifestyles of the upper middle-class, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley star in the twisted tale of friends whose loyalties are put to the test.
Most importantly, you’ll find out who exactly got killed and why Meryl Streep is now on such a mission to get answers in season two.

Starting with the mystery of who ‘that’ body is and how the women are involved, things are about to get even more cimplicated in the upcoming episodes.
So it’s a true favour that they’ve decided to allow everyone to catch up and see the show in all it’s pastel-coloured, seaside glory.
You’ll also come to learn exactly why, even off-camera, these girls love each other so much, and are often sharing photos of the gang getting together and sharing a laugh.
You better make the most of it too, as it’s been hinted that this might be the final season.
Show creator David E Kelleyannounced at the TCA’s there was ‘no plans’ for a third and said: ‘[There’s] no such plan now. We like our closure at season two. That will probably be it.’
However, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon were quick to step in and said ‘that was what he said last time’.
Nicole then clarified: ‘There’s no plan for it. This was a long shoot for us, an enormous amount of work, we’re amazed we can be here.’

Want to know where else you can see this guy’s face? (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)
One way or another, comedian and television presenter Bradley Walsh has been all over pretty much everybody’s telly lately.
The Chase presenter has been in show-business for decades, and now he’s going to be hosting brand new show to boot.
If you want to know more about it, and other shows you can tune into to get a fresh dose of Bradley, then look no further, because we’ve got the info you need right here…
Bradley Walsh’s TV shows
As far as his TV hosting goes, Bradley Walsh is currently hosting one gameshow, The Chase, as he has done for the last ten years.
He’s also about to drop a new gameshow called Bradley Walsh’s Late Night Guestlist.
The aptly-named show will be a one-off special in which host Bradley will chat with a number of celebrity guests, with some music and games thrown in too.
On the topic of his new show, Bradley said to Female First: ‘I’m so excited to be filing this TV special.
‘On my guestlist are going to be some big stars, with some fantastic music, funny games and at the heart of it, the great British public, who will hopefully get to win some truly amazing prices.’
Other than that, Bradley has reportedly been in talks with ITV over making a second season of Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad – the first season of which aired earlier this year.
You’ll also have been able to spot Bradley playing Graham, one of The Doctor’s companions in the latest season of Doctor Who. He’ll be reprising that role in the new season, which will be airing in 2020.

Jordan Peele is working with JJ Abrams on a new horror show (Picture: Getty)
Jordan Peele and JJ Abrams have confirmed they will donate their profits to pro-choice organisations as production gets underway on their new TV show in the state of Georgia.
Lawmakers in the southern state recently passed a bill, nicknamed the Heartbeart bill, which bans all abortions in the state after a fetal heartbeat is detected.
Heartbeats can be detected at five or six weeks into a pregnancy but most women will not know they are pregnant until past this mark.
In response to the bill, the filmmakers issued a statement in which they said they will stand ‘shoulder to shoulder with the women of Georgia’ and ‘will donate 100% of our respective episodic fees for this season to two organizations leading the charge against this draconian law’.
‘In a few weeks we start shooting our new show, Lovecraft Country and will do so standing shoulder to shoulder with the women of Georgia,’ the statement read.
‘Governor Kemp’s ‘Fetal Heartbeat’ Abortion Law is an unconstitutional effort to further restrict women and their health providers from making private medical decisions on their terms. Make no mistake, this is an attack aimed squarely and purposely at women.’

Their upcoming HBO horror series Lovecraft Country will film in Georgia, where other productions including the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Walking Dead also shoot.
Hollywood has been slow to react, with many calling on the industry to pull out of the state which has production tax credits, making it a favourite for studios.
Many organisations are promising to fight the ban in court but as it stands, it is set to take effect in January 2020.

The entertainer, who works as a magical advisor in theatre (coolest job ever?) has had to divulge some of his secrets to stars including Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams and Gandalf himself, Sir Ian McKellan.
But now he’s putting himself to the test and showing off his abilities to Simon Cowell and co on tonight’s episode of the variety show favourite.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Ben said: ‘I often get called in to help solve magic problems in the world of theatre, or films and that sort’ve thing. So I’ve taught things to all sorts of amazing people.
‘Recently, I had to help Maisie Williams to be part of a magic trick where one of the other actors was apparently sucked into her stomach. I’ve had to teach John Boyega to vomit on stage!’
And the biggest name he’s had to take under his wing? Lord Of The Rings’ Gandalf himself, Sir Ian McKellan.

‘I’ve taught Sir Ian McKellan sleight of hand magic, you know, kind of the more traditional kind of magic,’ he explained. ‘Which was amazing because he’s a genius. He was pretty easy to coach in that stuff, and plenty of experience being a magician.’
‘The judges are always going to be scary, because they’ve seen so many performers now, and so many great acts, that they become quite discerning critics,’ he admitted. ‘They really know what they’re talking about, and also in that situation all the excitement and anticipation of the day to be up against the panel.’
Admitting he was initially unconvinced that Britain’s Got Talent was the way to go, recent successes of performers in the format, including AGT’s Shin Lim and BGT’s Richard Jones, caused him to rethink his previous opinion.

Will Ben have done enough to set off a spark in the judges? (Picture: Rex)
Ben explained: ‘I’ve seen so many magicians have a really nice time on the show in the past, and in recent years, I think I thought “Oh… yeah, maybe I should give it a go!”
‘The magic industry’s a small world and when I see my friends, colleagues and people I look up to going on the show, it just seems that the show really likes magic, and so Simon seems to kind of believe in real magic now, so why not?’
After fleeting appearances on shows including kids show Life Hacks Hoax and BBC’s Now You See Me, he now wants to up his game, bringing to life the dream he’s had since he was a child.
‘The public are appreciating magic now more than they ever have, possibly in the history of magic, and that’s really exciting. In my time as a magician, seeing the public grow to like it more,’ the entertainer explained.
Admitting he never trained or studied past the essential school age so he could focus on magic, he joked: ‘I lucked out when it went into magic! It was a good investment.
‘When I started to do magic, everybody thought it was a little bit geeky, and now it’s really cool and I’ve just ridden the wave!’
Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 8pm on ITV1.

Constance Wu clarified some of her thoughts on Fresh Off The Boat’s renewal (Picture: Rex)
Actress Constance Wu has corrected herself and apologised for messages that appeared to slate her own TV show, Fresh Off The Boat.
Fresh Off The Boat, which is based on the life of a family who are adjusting to life as first generation immigrants, and their children, led by Eddie, who are trying to balance the culture of the US with their ancestral heritage.
Renewed yesterday by network ABC, Constance, who plays Jessica Huang on the show, appeared to indirectly reference the sixth season with a comment that read: ‘So upset right now that I’m literally crying. Ugh. F***.’
She later added a simple ‘F***ing hell’ and stopping a fellow tweeter in their tracks after he sent her congratulations on the ‘great news’, replying ‘No, it’s not’.
However, not too soon after Constance autocorrected and told fans to ‘stop assuming’ what she was saying and that her use of the f-bomb was just ‘how she spoke’.
‘Y’all are making a lot of assumptions about what I was saying, and no, it’s not what it’s about. No it’s not..what this is all about. Stop assuming.’

‘I’m proud to be a part of it. For all the fans support, thank u & for all who support my casual use of the word f**, thank u too’
Fresh Off The Boat returns later this year on ABC in the US and E4 in the UK.

Lethal Weapon has been axed after three seasons (Picture: Fox)
Lethal Weapon’s TV series reboot has been cancelled after three seasons, Fox have confirmed.
It’s been decided that the Damon Wayans and Seann William Scott fronted series based on the 80s film classic will no longer go forward after a controversial year off screen.
The news comes just one season after lead character Riggs (Clayne Crawford) was written out of the show following the actor’s on-set behaviour, and replaced with a brand new character.
In October, Wayans announced that he would also be leaving the show, meaning the entire central friendship would’ve been recast.

Clayne Crawford was fired from the show after clashing with Wayans on set (Picture: Warner Bros)It was assumed however that he was meant to be returning for one or two episodes in the future.
The show made headlines last year after the sudden and apparent firing of Crawford, who after making his directoral debut on the show, was placed into anger management counselling.
Leaked audio also revealed he got into an argument with Damon Wayans, after a piece of shrapnel on the set he was in charge of cut his head open.
After another separate incident occurred, the decision was made to axe Crawford altogether.

Lucifer fans have binge-watched their way through season four in rapid time and less than a week later they’re already craving season 5.
The devoted fanbase hasn’t gone unnoticed by leading man Tom Ellis – and to pay them back for their loyalty has temporarily satisfied their cravings with a behind-the-scenes clip of him practicing a fight scene.
And it’s actually pretty brutal too, considering that Tom himself is involved in the choreographed stunt and is thrown up into the air and flips someone else over his shoulder.
While viewers were obviously impressed, there was one recurring question on everyone’s lips in the Insta comments section – ‘Where’s season 5?’
Which seeing as four was released a week ago, is a pretty big ask.
Tom and the team have been giving the fans more than they ever thought could happen after bringing the show back from the dead for a new life and a fourth season at Netflix.

Launching at the beginning of this week, viewers were able to catch up with our favourite ‘devil on vacation in LA’ and the world that made people demand someone save it after its unceremonious axing last year.

And Tom’s more than pleased to come back as the Devil himself, and happier than ever with what the series can do now it’s got a new home.
‘What happens when you’re on a network and you have to do 22 episodes is that you end up diluting and elongating and really stretching out a story,’ he told Collider. ‘It’s quite a challenge.’
‘My favourite episodes, at least when we were on Fox, were always the ones that were rich with story,’ he added. ‘It’s actually a benefit for the show because you get the best version of it.
‘You get the lean, great storytelling for all of our characters all the way through the 10 episodes, and it makes it more compelling.’
Tom concluded: ‘Plus, now it all comes out at once, which means that people can do what they like to do and binge it.’
Lucifer is available now on Netflix.

She was pretty clear: SHIELD is a move away from the MCU (Picture: ABC)
Marvel’s Agents of Shield returned to TV screens for its sixth season in the United States on Friday – but actress Min-Na Wen said it might be best to see the show as a separate entity from the events that occurred in Avengers: Endgame.
The show is the first in the MCU to be released after the most recent Avengers movie, but fans may be surprised to note that showrunners have kept away from Thanos’ Snap.
**This article contains mild Avengers and Agents of Shield spoilers**
It was previously revealed that, as creators didn’t know where to place Thanos’ Snap in the time frame of the show, Shield doesn’t address the events of the Snap or the madness that happens afterwards.
Fans who thought the show might have figured out a workaround after Endgame was released may be a little disappointed to discover that is not the case, and Min-Na Wen, who plays agent Melinda May, said as much during an interview with TVLine.
‘So the Snap hasn’t happened yet,’ she said.
‘I think at this point it’s safe to say that we have departed from following the [Marvel] cinematic universe in that sense, and are just telling our own stories and our own situations.’

What is Coulson’s future? (Picture: ABC grab)
She added: ‘All this is happening pre-Snap.’
The actress also addressed the gaping hole left behind with the death of Coulson, and his doppelganger Sarge.
‘In her mind,’ Wen said, referring to her character May, ‘there’s maybe a 10 per cent hope at this point that it’s Coulson, but in reality she knows it’s not. She needs to find out who the hell is this guy, this ‘evil twin’ from a parallel universe?’
The appearance of Phil Coulson’s double had fans speculating about potential Avengers spoilers in the new season of Shield, with some suggesting there must be some kind of reference to Shield in Endgame.
Others have been hypothesising that Coulson could be a Skrull, given his instant resurrection, or indeed that that’s his evil twin.
‘I mean, she saw [Coulson] die. She buried him. In a way, so when she sees Sarge, it’s like she is so pissed. She closed that chapter of her life and now that Pandora’s Box reopens for her and she doesn’t like it, at all,’ Wen concluded.
Agents of Shield returns to the UK on E4 in the summer.
