If it’s autumn, it must surely mean that The X Factor is back on our screens very soon.

Except this time things are a little different for the ITV show – as the regular X Factor and its search for a new singing star – isn’t happening.

Instead, famous faces are getting the chance to show off their singing skills for us, in a celebrity edition of the show which promises to be just as exciting as the main series.

But when’s it happening, who’s taking part – and will we be seeing Dermot O’Leary in charge as usual?

Here’s what you need to know…

When does Celebrity X Factor start?

The start date for Celebrity X Factor has yet to be confirmed by ITV.

In a normal year of X Factor the series would most likely be up and running already, but currently ITV is airing Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions on Saturday nights instead.

Simon Cowell on The X Factor
Simon Cowell will be returning this year for both editions (Picture: ITV/Rex)

That show only has a few weeks left to run, however, so our best guess would be that Celebrity X Factor will start soon after that series ends.

The series is likely to be followed by a second X Factor series, X Factor All Stars – in which some of the most familiar faces from the previous X Factors return to battle it out.

‘The time feels right, and it will be a huge change,’ Simon Cowell previously told The Sun.

‘We haven’t exactly confirmed the dates or the order of the shows, but essentially there are going to be two versions of X Factor running this year. I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in ages.’

It’s also been reported that the celebrities really will be in it to win it, with Cowell said to be offering a record deal to Celebrity X Factor’s winning act.

Is Dermot O’Leary returning to Celebrity X Factor as host?

Dermot – who will be appearing on This Morning on Thursday morning, with Celebrity X Factor no doubt on the agenda – is indeed on board as host.

Speaking to metro.co.uk earlier this year he said: ‘Back this year, yes. That’s as much as I know.’

He also said of the format change: ‘Nothing surprises me particularly because the show never rests on its laurels. There’s always an evolution every year.

‘As someone that’s been there a very long time, it takes up a great part of my year, and I have a great fondness for it. I love it. You see so many changes down the years, you’re never really surprised.

‘The chats I have had with the team [about the format change], everyone’s pretty excited about it.’

Who is taking part in Celebrity X Factor?

Although names have yet to be confirmed, rumoured participants include former EastEnders star Jonny Labey, a duo consisting of former Strictly star Brendan Cole and actor Jeremy Edwards, Love Actually’s Olivia Olson, former footballer turned actor Vinnie Jones and a Love Island supergroup featuring Eyal Booker, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson and Samira Mighty.

Catch Dermot O’Leary on This Morning on ITV on Thursday from 10.30am.

David Walliams and Amanda Holden are also among the names being rumoured for the series.

Actress Katherine Kelly will soon be gracing our screens once again in her new show Criminal, which will air on Netflix this week.

The Netflix drama, which also stars Doctor Who alumni David Tennant and Avengers actress Hayley Atwell, tells 12 different stories over the course of the series and is set in four different countries.

Just to make it even more ambitious, the drama has also been filmed in four languages to reflect the four settings in the UK, France, Germany and Spain.

Metro.co.uk said reviewing the show and reflecting on the different languages used: ‘It’s a bold move to try, and Criminal definitely has potential to keep going, if the team behind the show can figure out a format to stick to that can truly be universally received.’

Katherine plays a detective in the drama, interrogating suspects David, Hayley and Home’s Youssef Kerkour. Line of Duty’s Lee Ingleby and Doctor Foster’s Clare-Hope Ashitey also star in the show alongside Katherine as detectives trying to solve the crime.

Stacey Dooley has hit back at claims she’s ‘lazy’, after staying with a young family for new series, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner joined Matt and Adele Allen at their council home in Brighton, however her hosts were unimpressed the documentary maker’s antics, revealing she ‘didn’t take part’ in their way of living.

And the 32-year-old has blasted their words, laughing off the comments.

Taking to Twitter, she fumed: ‘I’m a lot of things, but lazy isn’t one of them.

‘Sometimes you just got to laugh.’

And, to prove her point, she added a string of cry-laughing emojis.

The couple, who appeared in the latest episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, let the star into their Brighton home for three days.

According to MailOnline, the pair – who share three children together and claim £900 a month in benefits – claimed she refused to eat their food, wouldn’t get up early for 6am dog walks, and branded herself a ‘wimp’ for refusing to get into the sea.

‘In the whole 72 hours she was here I did three early morning dog walks at 6am with the baby and she didn’t manage to make it out to one,’ Adele said. ‘She couldn’t get up with me – so there’s the lazy one.

‘Stacey is a lovely person but I feel she lacks a bit of sensitivity and Matt got quite upset with a couple of the questions.

‘There is this claim she loves to immerse herself and I actually found she didn’t take part in a lot of what we did.

They claimed she was ‘lazy’ and ‘insensitive’ (Picture: UKTV)

‘She wouldn’t eat the food from the allotment, she wouldn’t put her feet in the sea with Matt. In her own words she called herself a wimp.’

While Matt agreed: ‘She’s lovely but there’s not a lot of depth to her.

‘There’s a fantastic moment where she is with me in the allotment and I say: “Come on then Stacey, what herb is this?” and I tell her it begins with the letter O and she says: “Olive oil.”’

Adele also stated they asked producers to cut a section where Stacey questioned Matt about claiming benefits, which made it into the final edit of the show.

However, the mum-of-three later denied calling Stacey lazy, praising the ‘rewarding’ experience.

‘If you want words straight from the horse’s mouth then take our advice and follow our pages and/or only read exclusive interviews,’ she shared on Instagram.

‘We found the filming experience with firecracker and @sjdooley to be truly rewarding and despite Stacey not delving into every activity we took part in, I can clarify that we all found her to be a truly authentic, genuine and open minded presenter.

‘She was especially brilliant with the children and a very welcomed house guest.’

Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over airs Wednesdays at 10pm on W.

Liam Charles has come a pretty long way since rising to prominence as a contestant on The Great British Bake Off.

Following the show he landed his own TV series, Liam Bakes, on Channel 4 – and he’s also now the host of spin-off show Bake Off: The Professionals alongside comedian Tom Allen.

He’ll be showing off some of his skills in the This Morning kitchen on Thursday – and no doubt giving viewers his thoughts on the curren series – but when was he on the show?

Here’s what you need to know about Liam.

How old is Liam Charles?

Liam celebrated his 22nd birthday just last month.

He was born in London on 28 August 1997.

Liam was a contestant on the show in 2017 – in the first series of the show after it moved over to Channel 4.

He joined a line-up which included the likes of Steven Carter-Bailey, Kate Lyon, Stacey Hart, Flo Atkins and eventual winner Sophie Faldo.

Did Liam win The Great British Bake Off?

While Liam was a viewer favourite, he sadly missed out on a place in the final after being knocked out in the quarter-final, leaving him to finish in fifth place.

He later told The Guardian he still had his Bake Off apron in his room, saying: ‘It still has stains on it and every stain tells a story.’

As well as his TV ventures, Liam also published the book: Cheeky Treats: 70 Brilliant Bakes and Cakes, in 2018 – and remains passionate about encouraging others to bake.

‘It’s a great outlet to express creativity,’ he explained. ‘Everyone loves cake, and it’s always good to learn a new skill.’

Catch Liam on This Morning on ITV on Thursday from 10.30am.

Piers Morgan has confirmed he would sign up to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after Ant and Dec pleaded for the Good Morning Britain host to enter the jungle.

But there’s a catch.

The 54-year-old has demanded a £5 million fee, however, there’s no doubt that he would actually be worth every penny.

From his daily spats with the likes of Meghan Markle, Little Mix and Ariana Grande, to his ferocious clashes with politicians on the daily, Piers is one of the most talked-about figures on the planet – love him or loathe him – and would be a disgracefully entertaining signing, even if he managed to rile millions of viewers each night.

‘Like I said, £5 million & I’ll come and munch kangaroo testicles. Not a penny less,’ he tweeted today.

Presenters Ant and Dec, who will be reuniting in the jungle after the former missed the 2019 edition of I’m A Celebrity to recover from his drink-driving arrest and subsequent stay in rehab, revealed this week they’ve been goading Piers to take part in the show for years.

‘Piers has said he would do it for a certain amount of money, which I think we could meet, but he keeps on wriggling out of it,’ Declan Donnelly revealed at the Royal Television Society conference in Cambridge on Wednesday.

Ant McPartlin added: ‘We have a list that we get every year and we add to it and subtract from it. On our list at the moment, one person we are tracking down this year is Richard Madeley. Tim Westwood. I would like to see that. Alan Shearer, the list is endless.’

While the names included in this year’s I’m A Celebrity line-up are being kept under lock and key, Love Island’s Olivia Attwood has confirmed she’s been in talks with producers, while Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall is so heavily tipped he may as well be wearing his I’m A Celebrity uniform already.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! returns to ITV this November.

Holly Willoughby cracks up as David Cameron says ‘s**t’ during This Morning interview

Holly Willoughby couldn’t contain her laughter during an interview with David Cameron on This Morning, after the former Prime Minister accidentally swore live on air.

The 52-year-old was joined by wife Samantha for the appearance, to promote his new book, For The Record, when the chat quickly turned to Brexit.

Phillip Schofield suggested there would be viewers at home shouting abuse and ‘spitting at their TVs’ over his stint, blaming him for the political confusion the country is currently in, and the infamous Brexit bus in particular.

And he uttered a swear word about the situation.

‘Believe me, I did more… I s**t…,’ he told the hosts. ‘I shouted at the TV.’

Apologising for the slip-up, he continued: ‘Sorry, I shouted at the TV. It was incredibly frustrating.’

David tried to continue his point, but it was too late and everyone around him had erupted into uncontrollable giggles.

‘None of us were prepared for that,’ Holly joked, to which he replied: ‘We’ve broken a new boundary, for which I am very sorry.’

We can already see another NTA finding itself in the This Morning trophy cabinet…

This isn’t the first time Holly and Phil have been forced to pause an interview after finding themselves unable to control their laughter.

And, speaking about getting the giggles on camera, Phil admitted the pair aren’t too fussed about blunders live on air.

No one could cope after his slip-up (Picture: ITV)

‘There have been so many because it’s such a relaxed studio and that’s when you can forget you’re on the telly, which makes you both laugh,’ he revealed ahead of their 10-year ITV
anniversary.

‘What’s lovely is that we’ve got the same sense of humour, it works at the same speed, we find the same things funny and so we’re always very happy to laugh at each other’s mistakes.’

‘Practically every animal that walks into the studio poos on the floor! It happens all the time. Holly is quite nervous about bigger animals.

‘I can’t remember what the bird was, but it was quite a large bird that started flapping but that made Holly quite nervous.

‘She has at times grabbed me and pushed me in between her and the animal, like a human shield.’

Imagine the scenes if a huge animal interrupted David’s interview….

This Morning continues on weekdays, at 10.30am, on ITV.

Huey and Riley are coming back for more in 2020 (Picture: Adult Swim)

Animation The Boondocks is being rebooted by HBO’s new streaming service HBO Max.

Huey and Riley will return in a 50 minute special, produced by Sony Pictures Animation, to be released in 2020, the broadcaster has announced.

The show, created by Aaron McGruder, will also be made available to watch in its entirety – that’s 55 episodes for you to binge in readiness.

The cartoon followed a black family, the Freemans, after they move to a posh and mostly white suburban neighbourhood.

The synopsis reads: ‘The new Boondocks follows the adventures of self-proclaimed “Civil Rights Legend” Robert “Granddad” Freeman, and his two rambunctious grandsons Huey and Riley. The family has recently moved to an idyllic community in suburban Maryland only to see it taken over by the tyrannical Uncle Ruckus and his bizarre neo-fascist regime. Life under Ruckus turns out to be an everyday struggle to survive.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B2iaqsUBM_6/

McGruder said there is ‘a unique opportunity’ to revisit the characters.

He added: ‘It’s crazy how different the times we live in are now—both politically and culturally—more than a decade past the original series and two decades past the original newspaper comic.

‘There’s a lot to say and it should be fun.’

The Boondocks originally ran on Adult Swim from 2005 to 2014.

It was best known for its outspoken commentary on black culture and social issues, thinly-veiled criticisms of black celebrities and wacky characters such as Gangstalicious and a A Pimp Named Slickback.

Regina King, Samuel L.Jackson and John Witherspoon are among the voice cast.

Drake’s revival of Top Boy has received rave reviews (Picture: Netflix/Chris Harris)

Netflix’s revival of gritty drama Top Boy started last week and the series has captivated audiences with its talented, star-studded cast.

Executive produced by Drake, Top Boy sees Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson return as Dushane and Sully respectively, with the characters returning from exile to reclaim their place in the highly lucrative London drug market.

The series is set on the streets of East London and was shot on location in Hackney, Dalston and Haggerston.

How many episodes of Top Boy are there?

While the first two seasons up to 2013 only had four episodes each, the new Netflix Top Boy series has 10 installments.

All of the new episodes are available to stream on Netflix and viewers can also catch up on the old Channel 4 series episodes on the streaming service too, by searching ‘Top Boy: Summerhouse’.

What is Top Boy Summerhouse?

To make this clearer for viewers and fans, the old Channel 4 show has been given the name Top Boy: Summerhouse on Netflix to help differentiate between it and the new season of Top Boy produced by Drake.

The title for the old shows comes from the name of the fictional Summerhouse housing estate in Hackney, East London where the drama is set.

Will there be a series 2 of Top Boy?

A Top Boy showrunner has confirmed that they’re already preparing for a second series on Netflix and fans are hoping for an announcement confirming the news before the end of the year.

Writer Ronan Bennett told Metro.co.uk: ‘We want to do a new season and we’re talking to Netflix about it.’

‘We have our core and we have the characters and the world, but we also want to refresh it with staying true to what our fans love about the show, but also expanding the world and surprising them.

‘That’s the ambition going forward.’

Top Boy is available to stream on Netflix now.

Jeremy Clarkson shares epic shot from new series I Bought A Farm (Picture: METRO)

Jeremy Clarkson is hitting the fields for his new Amazon Prime series, flying solo from The Grand Tour for a new programme on farming, aptly titled I Bought A Farm.

Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond will embark on their own adventures for Amazon coming up over the next year.

May will be heading to Japan, Hammond will be joined by Mythbusters star Tony Belluci where they’ll try and survive on an island, but Clarkson will be staying closer to home.

While his co-stars’ will be jetting off to explore new lands, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host has shared a glorious shot of the sun setting from his tractor with his ‘big rig’ and, actually, we know where we’d rather be.

Take a look at that.

In turn, an army of Jezza’s fandom demanded some answers – when the heck is this series out? Sadly, the 59-year-old is keeping schtum.

Jeremy Clarkson
Look at that view! (Picture: Instagram/Jeremy Clarkson)

The former Top Gear presenter is currently residing in a lavish 1,000 acre Chipping Norton farm and insisted his show will be a million miles away from Countryfile.

‘This is not Kate Humble – much as I like Kate Humble – with 20 acres, bottle-feeding a lamb. Or a TV presenter who grows veg in his back garden This is actual farming: Life, death and form filling,’ he told the Sunday Times.

‘We’re not making Countryfile. We’ll be showing it warts and all. For example, I have no view on badger culling in terms of whether it’s necessary, but if it’s happening we will not shy away from putting it in the programme.’

As well as their solo ventures, The Grand Tour trio are also hard at work on season 4 of the motoring show, which has already wrapped up filming in Vietnam and Cambodia, where May was almost killed.

The Grand Tour is expected to return on Amazon Prime in 2020 while I Bought A Farm is also thought to be landing next year.

Stavros Flatley worried Britain’s Got Talent return would ruin legacy: ‘It was a difficult decision’

Stavros Flatley delighted Britain’s Got Talent viewers with their Greek dancing skills back in 2009, finishing the first series in fourth place.

The duo – made up of Demi Demetriou and son Lagi – have become household names ever since, with Simon Cowell himself branding them one of his ‘favourite ever dance acts’.

Which is pretty high praise.

However, they revealed they were sceptical over taking part in Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, because they didn’t want to ruin their legacy.

During an appearance on This Morning, ahead of their BGT return, Demi told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: ‘We’ve danced all over the world, China, Monaco, Germany, Greece, Italy… We’ve been everywhere.

‘We didn’t want to ruin what we’d already done, it was a difficult decision.

‘Obviously Lagi has grown up now, he’s never going to be six foot… He’s got a little beard and tattoos…’

‘We had to really think about it, but we’re so happy we did it,’ he continued.

‘After what’s happened and the performance we did, I don’t think we made a mistake. I know we didn’t.’

David Walliams recently opened up about the ‘risk’ some contestants took when returning to the Britain’s Got Talent stage, especially when it came to the winners.

However, he insisted it wasn’t a ‘humiliation’ to be eliminated before the finals.

‘I think there’s a risk because you’re a winner already, aren’t you?’ he said. ‘But then I think the show is warm, and even if you don’t necessarily get through to the final, it’s not a humiliation is it?

‘It’s just the audience has voted for someone else, so hopefully no one will come away feeling like, “Oh I regret it”.’

David also explained it’s ‘interesting’ to see where the contestants have ended up after their initial performances.

‘It’s kind of interesting to follow up on people’s stories,’ he added.

‘You realise the show has been going on 13 years so you see people like Connie Talbot and Paul Potts who were on the very first series and we get to find out how the show has changed their lives.’

This Morning airs on weekdays, at 10.30am, on ITV, while Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions continues on Saturday, at 8.30pm, on ITV.

But who is the America’s Got Talent 2019 winner who became a viral internet hit after that jaw-dropping first audition?

Who is America’s Got Talent 2019 winner Kodi Lee?

Kodi Lee is a 22-year-old from Southern California who was previously unknown to the public before he found worldwide fame thanks to his first America’s Got Talent performance which has amassed an impressive 46 million views on YouTube.

Kodi, who is blind, was born with a condition called optic nerve hypoplasia and survived life-saving surgery when he was just five days old. He was later diagnosed with autism at the age of four.

Kodi is also a musical prodigious savant who has an audio photographic memory, meaning he can recall music he hears after listening to it just once.

‘We found out that he loved music really early on – he listened and his eyes went huge. He started singing, and I was in tears, because that’s when I realised he’s an entertainer,’ his mum Tina said on America’s Got Talent.

‘Through music and performing he was able to withstand living in this world, because when you’re autistic it’s really hard to do what everybody else does. It actually has saved his life, playing music.’

After becoming a star on the show, musical legend Paul Simon gave permission for the American singing sensation to perform his hit Bridge Over Troubled Water in the quarter-finals – something which Simon highlighted was incredibly rare and a testament to Kodi’s talent.

‘I want to thank Paul Simon, who never really gives permission for anyone to sing this song,’ Simon told Kodi after his rendition.

‘It’s very precious to him, and he gave [Kodi] clearance within 30 minutes because he saw your audition.’

Kodi’s last performance on the show was an amazing rendition of You Are The Reason by Calum Scott.

The young star was crowned the winner of AGT on September 19, beating Detroit Youth Choir, comedian Ryan Niemiller, dance troupe V Unbeatable and singers Voices Of Service to win the $1m (£800,000) prize money.

He has also landed his own Las Vegas show at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino which will kick off in November.

Loose Women’s Carol McGiffin had a lot to say about her ex-husband Chris Evans as the panellists chatted about marriage.

Bit awkward.

As the panellists chatted about people getting married young nowadays, the 59-year-old mentioned the age she got married before admitting it ‘wasn’t a good idea’.

The other panellists pointed out it’s something she says frequently, asking her why she got married in the first place.

‘I don’t know!’ she cried, before adding: ‘I was just swept along, at the time I convinced myself I couldn’t live without him.’

Claiming that marriage was her radio presenter beau’s idea, she branded him ‘very manipulative and persuading.’

And, as for the people who claim she was only after her money, she said: ‘I had more than he had at the time, he was nothing without me, nothing.’

Well, that’s that then.

Carol and Chris tied the knot in 1991 before separating in 1993.

The Loose Women star later married Mark Cassidy in 2018 in a ceremony in Thailand, but managed to keep the secret for a whole year, when the pair celebrated their first anniversary.

Carol wrote in her column for Best magazine: ‘No one knew we were going to do it, but we’ve basically spent the last year having separate celebrations with different friends and family, telling them all in person.

‘Now they all know, we’re ready for it to come out.’

The couple married in a low-key ceremony in Bangkok with no family or friends present, with the Loose Women star explaining that two previous attempts to organise a wedding had fallen through.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Chris for comment.

American Horror Story: 1984 features some familiar faces to the series – and some not so familiar

American Horror Story is heading back to the 80s with its latest series, in a nod to the grisly teen slasher movies of the decade.

The new season, entitled American Horror Story: 1984, takes place at a summer camp where a massacre once occurred – and when its perpetrator escapes from a nearby mental institution, you know it’s only a matter of time before the killings start again.

It kicked off in the US last night, and UK viewers get to see the first episode here tonight – but which regular cast members are involved, who’s left and who’s new to the show?

Here’s what you need to know…

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is still waiting for the call to star in the Saved By The Bell reboot (Picture: NBC)

The Saved By The Bell reboot is apparently being planned without Mark-Paul Gosselaar, aka Zack Morris, aka the actual main character.

The show is being revived after 30 years and will reportedly see the return of Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley as Slater and Jessie respectively.

It hasn’t been confirmed whether the rest of the Bayside High School gang, including Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski), Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) and Dustin Diamond (Screech Powers) will return.

But Mark-Paul is still waiting for his invite – which is pretty unbelievable? Surely he’d be the first man you’d nail down.

He told Variety: ‘I read it in the trades just like everybody else this morning. Honestly, I was never approached. I woke up to the news this morning with a kind of “huh” response.’

Same here…

However there’s still hope, as he added he’s ‘always been interested’ and gets why NBC haven’t hit him up yet. Which is good, because we don’t.

The actor is starring in Mixed-ish, a prequel to the comedy Black-ish, on ABC, a competitor to NBC’s streaming service.

Mark-Paul went on: ‘I’m on ABC, so it doesn’t really fit into that considering Disney Plus, so I understand the business side of things. But I had no idea it was that far along.’

Word is that the reboot, picking up decades after the original series ended, will see Zack as California governor who comes under fire for shutting low-income high schools.

Students from closed schools are sent to the nearest high performing ones, including Bayside.

Tracey Wigfield will be executively producing the reboot, for NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, which is launching next April.

Saved By the Bell aired from 1989 between 1992, with spin-off The College Years on screens for one season, between 1993-1994.

Richard Jones nearly pulled out of performing on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions at the last minute (Picture: ITV)
Britain’s Got Talent winner Richard Jones’ appearance on The Champions was almost derailed as the star was overcome with emotion moments before performing for the judges.

The 28-year-old magician, who won in 2016, returned to The Champions last week with a routine that included moving stories about the armed forces.

But before performing the thought of how far he had come made it difficult to focus.

Richard’s pal and fellow illusionist Maddox Dixon, who was on Britain’s Got Talent last year, revealed the emotional off stage moment to Metro.co.uk: ‘The performance was just electric and emotional all in one go.

‘He nearly couldn’t go on stage because he was so emotional at the realisation of how much work and how many people had helped him get to that point.

‘He didn’t feel like he could go on stage because he felt so emotional about it.’

Maddox joked: ‘I didn’t realise he was such as soppy character, it made me laugh hearing him say that. But he’s a great bloke, and a good friend.’

However the illusionist didn’t appear on The Champions himself, and while he wouldn’t say if he had been asked to go on, he did confess he wouldn’t have been able to make it work.

He told us: ‘I wouldn’t have aligned if I had appeared on the show. I was just very happy to see other magicians flying the flag and doing so well.’

Maddox has teamed up with Highland Spring for a campaign that has seen him work his magic on members of the public to give them a ‘lift’.

Speaking about the project, he teased: ‘September is a real bluesy month for the general population. We’re all back to work. Two-thirds of Brits need that pick me up.

‘The context is going in as a fairly anonymous performer and capturing people by getting them to visualise an uplifting moment. Changing that mindset so they feel good and happy, and getting them to perform something that’s amazing.

‘To be able to do that for such an amazing positive company, I feel very grateful.’

Simon Cowell’s son Eric steals show with adorable dance moves at America’s Got Talent final

Simon Cowell’s son Eric managed to steal the show at the America’s Got Talent final, like a total pro.

The four-year-old could be seen living his best life in the audience, dancing around to the music and basically living his best life.

Terri Seymour – Simon’s ex-girlfriend turned close pal – blessed us all with a video of the little one showing off his moves alongside her daughter, Coco.

‘About last night. Had to post,’ she wrote alongside the clip.

Eric looked like his dad’s mini-me in a blue shirt and jeans, finishing the outfit with a jazzy pair of green headphones.

And he seemed to have a blast at the finale, jumping up and down, clapping and shimmying to the music.

We give it a couple of years until he’s on stage and competing for the Britain’s Got Talent crown.

Unless he’s running the whole show, that is.

David Walliams is convinced Eric will be the one to take over Simon’s huge empire, and will one day be the boss of them all.

Seeing as how he convinced his dad to get Baby Shark on the X Factor stage, we totally agree…

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about potential changes to the Britain’s Got Talent judging line-up, he told us: ‘I don’t know if Simon would want to bring in someone new or not.

‘At some point he’s going to bring his son who will be the boss of us all, no doubt.’

Simon and partner Lauren Silverman welcomed their first child together on Valentine’s Day, back in 2014.

And the 59-year-old revealed he’s already worried for Eric on the school playground.

‘Him being bullied is what I dread most,’ he confessed to Weekend Magazine, in a rare chat about his family life.

‘There are two things that worry me about him growing up. One is stress. Children are under so much stress – with homework, pressure. I really don’t want that for him.

‘The second thing is bullying. It terrifies me. If there’s even a whiff of it… I don’t think I could handle it.’

Ireland Simpsons Fans have started their own political party to give a voice to the politically homeless

$

We live in tricky political times. In the US, Donald Trump continues to alienate half of the country with his immigration policies and start fights on Twitter with celebrities. In the UK, Brexit rumbles on with no clear ending, with Boris at the helm. And in Ireland, the backstop, the border and the housing crisis are headline news daily.

So it’s really no surprise that a political party based off a cartoon has inspired hope across social media.

The viral Facebook page Ireland Simpsons Fans (ISF) has announced that it is launching a political party – the ISF Party – in an effort to represent those who feel they are not represented by the major Irish parties.

‘There is a crisitunity in Irish politics,’ their website reads. ‘Landlords are eating you and everyone you care about. Insufficient bear tax has diminished the wild bear population. The rich click their tongues and destroy the climate. For years we have asked “Can’t someone else do it?” – and we are that someone else.’

Most people thought the ISF Party (not affiliated with the actual Fox series The Simpsons) was a joke, and that the Facebook page had ‘jumped the shark’, but it soon became clear that many followers were inspired by the idea.

One person wrote: ‘I didn’t think there was room for another political party but one thing’s for certain, there’s no stopping them and I for one welcome our new overlords.’

Another tweeted: ‘I have finally found my political home’, while a quite frankly genius post read: ‘Ytrap eht nioj’. And one fan wrote: ‘Legitimately could not do worse than the existing shower of s*** so, like, yeah. I’m 100% on board here.’

ISF Party logo
ISF is racking up members (Picture: ISF)

While not yet a registered party, in just two hours, ISF Party membership rose into the hundreds, exceeding the followings of existing parties Aontú, which was established by Sinn Féin’s Peadar Tóibín when he resigned this year, and right-wing party Renua.

‘How bad a state does Irish politics have to be in if this is what people are clinging to?’ ISF group admin (one of 14) Jack Leahy told Metro.co.uk.

‘That’s a real indictment of politics in Ireland, that there are whole party efforts setting up stalls in student campuses on Fresher’s Week over the next week that won’t pull that number of people in.’

The popularity of the idea of an ISF Party comes from the demographic of the Facebook page. Leahy explained that the majority of the group – as tested during last year’s Repeal The 8th campaign – is liberal, left-leaning and non-conservative, and between the ages of 17 and 35. In a country where the housing crisis grips the capital, the unmet need for childcare and home care is amongst the worst in Europe and bars and culture hubs are being shut down in favour of hotels – one of the first policies named by the ISF Party was: ‘Protect cultural spaces, stop the development of tourist attraction cities, and crush the hopes of mass developers into a cube’ – it’s not surprising that young people are looking for different representation.

‘It offers people the opportunity to be a part of the political conversation without being part of a political party,’ Leahy said.

However, when asked whether the ISF Party is legit or just a joke, things are less clear.

‘I don’t know,’ Leahy laughed, although he admits he has ‘considered’ taking the party further if the need is there.

‘The Twitter following is already greater than Aontú. If it got to that point and people really wanted to involve themselves, I don’t think it could make a political party but it could make quite a strong statement about challenging the political views of the viable political parties.’

Ireland Simpsons Fans was set up in 2016, with thousands of followers posting screenshots from the classic animated series with captions relating them to current events, or posting their own Simpsons caption with the help of Frinkiac on other pictures. Popular ‘s***posts’ include pints memes, memes about the reclamation of Northern Ireland and sweet threads of mental health posting. Much of the content is geared towards and made by an Irish audience (Jack told us that around 70% of the group is Irish, with large UK and Australian followings) – but one of the universal themes is Brexit.

The way politics and particularly the UK leaving the EU is addressed and explained through Simpsons memes has seen ISF lauded as one of the best outlets for Brexit discourse by publications including Buzzfeed, Dazed and Joe.

‘One of the things about Brexit is the media has simplified Brexit to the point where people can’t understand the nuances of what is going on,’ Leahy said.

‘There’s hundreds of thousands of people in Ireland and Great Britain who have consumed The Simpsons and understood the references for years, so I think accessing that makes things a lot easier to understand. Also, everything that’s happened is without precedent in our lifetime, so an exaggerated parody like The Simpsons gives people the language in which to express themselves.

‘People say to us all the time that it’s where they get their news from and how they understand what’s going on.’

The ISF Party may not be a threat to Ireland’s major parties Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil just yet. But as pointed out by one ISF fan, Icelandic comedian Jón Gnarr started the Best party as a joke on TV and ended up being voted as mayor of Reykjavik, and comedian Volodymyr Zelensky won the Ukranian presidency by a landslide. So don’t discount them just yet.

Ola Jordan was ‘throwing up every day’ in the early weeks of her pregnancy.

Ola and husband James are expecting their first baby after undergoing IVF treatment.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star is now 16 weeks gone and things have settled down, but it wasn’t smooth sailing at the beginning.

Appearing on Loose Women with husband James, Ola spoke about how men find the process of IVF as hard as women do.

But James added: ‘It’s not quite as bad. Watching you…first 14 weeks you was throwing up every single day, men could not go through that, that’s a fact. I couldn’t.

‘And she hasn’t [complained]. Maybe once when we was out in my car and it all went down the side of my car…’

Ola, 36, also revealed how upsetting she found being asked if she was pregnant during the IVF process.

She explained: ‘It is really hard. You inject yourself every evening. You’re swollen even before you get pregnant.

‘We had journalists saying “she hasn’t been drinking and she’s really swollen on the belly, she’s pregnant”. Actually, I’m going through fertility treatment, I was already quite swollen on the belly, so that’s quite hard.’

Dancing On Ice star James revealed they had people constantly asking when they were going to have children.

The 41-year-old said: ‘It doesn’t come from a bad place – parents, friends, every interview we did, it was quite upsetting when you know you’re actively trying to get pregnant and you’re not.

‘That’s why in the end we did the IVF story saying we can’t get pregnant.

‘No one asked, our family, our friends, everyone gave us that respect that they didn’t ask. A lot of people don’t speak out – but it helped us by speaking out.’

The couple have been together for 20 years and married for 16.

Gogglebox’s Steph Parker lifts lid on ‘terrifying’ double pneumonia battle and heart infection

Gogglebox’s Steph Parker has revealed she battled double pneumonia and a heart infection last year.

The television personality and her husband Dom joined Lorraine Kelly this morning where she explained that her horrifying health ordeal happened at Christmas and forced her to reevaluate her life.

‘It was all very terrifying,’ Steph, 52, recalled. ‘But it does give you a boot and make you reevaluate your life because time is short and precious.’

She added to Lorraine: ‘I’m feeling a lot better, thank you.’

Double pneumonia is a lung infection that affects both of your lungs, making the air sacs or the alveoli fill with fluid or pus. This inflammation makes it hard to breathe.

According to Healthline: ‘You can catch pneumonia by coming into contact with infectious viruses or breathing in infectious air droplets.

‘If it’s not treated, any pneumonia can be life-threatening.’

Television favourites Steph and Dom joined the sofa to discuss their new showThe Great Hotel Escape, which sees the couple meet families who’ve risked everything to turn their dream of running a hotel into a reality.

‘The premise is that we tell them what not to do, rather than what to do because we’re not experts,’ Steph explained.

‘We made it up as we went along, very much so. It is important we give them the confidence to try things and move forward.’

Back in January, the husband and wife invited cameras into their home to show they’re fighting a battle to help save their 18-year-old son Max, who suffers from severe epilepsy and autism.

‘I think he’s probably a lot more aware of his environment,’ Steph said of his progress, adding that he’s on an early access programme to get cannabis oil treatment.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.

Gladiators’ Shadow tested positive for cocaine and steroids for seven months before being axed from show

Gladiators’ Shadow (Jefferson King) tested positive for cocaine and steroids for seven months before being axed from the show, co-star Cobra (Michael Willson) has claimed.

The 55-year-old opened up to Metro.co.uk about the lesser-known sides of the show – including the regular drug tests.

Revealing that he once got tested 11 times in one year, Michael, who opened up about struggling with his health earlier this year, said producers wouldn’t put up with any scandals.

‘If I got into a fight, they would have sacked me straight away,’ he explained.

However, when chatting about one of the show’s most infamous scandals, Shadow being axed, he claimed: ‘He came up positive for cocaine, he came up positive for seven months. They said they were gonna get him help. But all publicity was good publicity.’

Clarifying, Michael added: ‘He was coming up positive for cocaine and steroids for seven months.’

The star went on to say that he struggled to believe Jefferson was on steroids as he had lost a lot of weight.

‘That year he’d lost about a stone, that doesn’t happen when you’re taking steroids,’ he said.

‘He was earning that much money, I assume he was doing a lot more of that horrible white powder stuff,’ Michael added.

‘I think it was the pressure, the pressure they put on him,’ the former body-builder went on to say. ‘He was meant to be this superhero, this physical god, and he pressured himself. That cocaine, I suppose, is a confidence boost. Plus the steroids – he didn’t need them.’

Shadow was axed from the show in 1995 after testing positive on a drugs test and was sadly missed out from the reunion in 2015.

He previously opened up about his life spiraling out of control in the years afterwards but claimed he never took Class A drugs while on the series.

King told Sunday People back in 2015: ‘My worst low was a few years after Gladiators. I started doing more and more drugs and had to fund my habit by working as a manual labourer.’

He added: ‘I had become a full-time crackhead.

‘I lived in the darkness and dug holes so deep I could not get out.’

King later managed to turn his life around, working as a personal trainer during the day and restocking ambulances with medical equipment during the night.

Metro.co.uk has contacted ITV for comment.
