Richard Madeley’s alter-ego Judy is already making an impression on her new pals in The Circle – starting awkwardly with Zoe Ball’s son, Woody.

The fake persona given to morning telly host Richard is introduced tonight and it doesn’t take long for Richard’s convoluted bio to cause some problems.

Sizing up her profile, Woody – who is hiding his famous heritage from the other players, declares she’s ‘pretty fit’ and we’re already cringing at the potential flirting that’s about to happen.

Meanwhile, Katie, who is playing as her son Jay, is completely taken in by Judy, who brags on her profile she’s met a ‘real-life astronaut’ and dropped out of uni.

‘She sounds nice. She’s definitely real… I can just tell,’ she declared.

Weeeeell…maybe that gut instinct is leading you astray Katie, especially considering your best pal in the game isn’t a single mum, but a guy called James.

While that’s going on, Tim is definitely curious about his new friend, and starts grilling ‘Judy’ about her profile.

‘Judy! Amazing profile. I long to know, which school? Which uni? Which astronaut?,’ he asked.

Will Richard have thought this through enough to avert suspicion?

Regardless, he seems to be doing well, despite fans fearing he’d already messed up his game by saying too much on his profile.

Judy, a 27-year-old posh girl, has a bio that reads: ‘Went to boarding school – hated it – and dropped out of uni after one term. Was born in London and still live there.

‘Claim to fame…once met a real life astronaut who walked on the moon. Had lots of jobs but now health and nutritionist tutor. LOVE IT.’

Can Richard, a 63-year-old TV presenter, keep up the pretence?

At least if nothing else he can keep himself busy by writing a new novel on that fancy old-school typewriter of his…

The Circle airs weeknights at 10pm on Channel 4.

Can Susanna get rid of Piers for an entire month? (Picture: ITV)

Susanna Reid has joined in on the campaign to get Piers Morgan on I’m a Celebrity – pleaing with Ant and Dec to take him off her hands for the winter.

The Geordie duo got fans of I’m a Celeb hyped by revealing they were in a meeting discussing what was to come with the upcoming series.

So Susanna couldn’t help but ask them: ‘Are you taking Piers Morgan off my hands?’ with a series of praying emojis, underneath the photo.

Ant and Dec had sparked fans wanting to see the Good Morning Britain host in the jungle after joking that he ‘keeps wriggling out’ of joining the series.

If they do want him on the show, they’ll have to fork out a hell of a lot for it after Piers said he would only go on for a £5million cheque.

Rumoured celebrities this year include Love Island’s Amy Hart, Commons Speaker John Bercow, cricket legend David Gower and Corrie’s Alan Halsall.

Freddie Flintoff is also considered a possibility, as it Hollyoaks’ Jennifer Metcalfe.

Now we just have to patiently wait for the line-up to be really revealed.

The 2019 season will be the first one back with the pair after Ant took time off in 2018 following his drink driving conviction – with Holly Willoughby stepping into his hiking boots for last year’s season.

Ant, 43, stepped down from all TV presenting duties last year, including Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity following his arrest and later sentencing.

However, he has since been brought back into the fold presenting Britain’s Got Talent alongside Dec, and will now head to Australia as well.

His girlfriend Anne-Marie is said to be going with him for emotional support.

I’m A Celebrity returns later this year on ITV.

The Great British Bake Off’s Michael Chakraverty opens up on anxiety struggles after crying in the tent

The Great British Bake Off’s Michael Chakraverty has spoken out about anxiety in a heartwarming post encouraging others to reach out if they’re struggling.

Michael was comforted by Noel Fielding on Tuesday night’s show as he broke down in tears after finding the technical challenge of creating a Beignet soufflé too much.

(We still don’t know what they are, if we’re honest. They’re a bit like small jam donuts from the looks of it.)

After nearly walking from the tent, but persevering and securing his spot on the show for another week, Michael spoke out in a bid to help others who found the moment hard to watch.

He wrote: ‘Hey kids, let’s talk about anxiety. Watching last night’s episode was uncomfortable but mainly it showed me that I can do things even though (and especially when) I think I can’t.

‘Please know there’s always a way past, through or around the shadow. there is always someone who will listen and you are always stronger than you think.’

‘Bake off is the most intense, incredible and scary thing I’ve ever done,’ he continued. ‘I met 12 wonderful bakers who listened, understood and encouraged – and that doesn’t even include the most kind and supportive team off camera.

‘Guess what? Despite the voices saying otherwise, I could and I did. If you need help, please reach out. and if you’re making beignet soufflés I’ll be thinking of you.’

Michael on Great British Bake Off
Michael thought through this panic and managed to keep his spot on the show (Picture: Channel 4)

Michael was seen holding back tears as the choux pastry he needed to fry was too thin, causing them to melt when placed in the fryer.

Despite being offered a five minute breather, he said: ‘I need to keep going otherwise I’ll stop.’

Noel told him: ‘You’re doing really well. You’re good at this. Imagine me doing this, I’ve got nothing. You’re nearly there. You can do this.’

Ultimately Michael came second to last in the challenge, which he said he was pretty happy with considering he came close to throwing in the towel.

‘I could have gone outside to have a walk but I knew I wouldn’t come back, so I’m not bothered about coming eight out of nine, because I still managed to make them,’ he said.

It was something that our resident Bake Off pro Selasi admitted he knew all too well after his time on the show.

If anyone needs us to make something like this, expect a multi-pack from Tesco if you’re lucky.

The Great British Bake Off continues Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.

Naga Munchetty ruling explained further by BBC as backlash grows

The BBC has released a statement further explaining the decision to uphold a complaint against Naga Munchetty ‘breaking broadcast guidelines’ for discussing a racist comment from Donald Trump.

Naga criticised Trump’s message that four Democratic women opposing him should ‘go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came’, speaking about her own experiences of racism in the process.

But BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit ruled that it breached guidelines – causing an uproar of support from her co-stars and viewers who watch the show.

Now the team have released a new statement to further explain their actions.

In a statement released by the ECU, it was stated that while Trump’s comments were ‘widely condemned as racist’ and Naga was ‘perfectly entitled to give a personal response’, but she crossed a line when talking about Trump directly.

‘Our editorial guidelines do not allow for journalists to then give their opinions about the individual making the remarks or their motives for doing so – in this case President Trump – and it was for this reason that the complaint was partially upheld,’ they wrote.

‘Those judgements are for the audience to make.’

The new statement comes as the ruling became widespread news, with rival morning TV host Piers Morgan even saying she was being ‘gagged’.

Since the BBC will gag my breakfast show rival @BBCNaga from saying anything about this, allow me: it’s bloody ridiculous,’ he shared.

‘Her words are powerful and necessary. Shameful censorship.’

Grabs: BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty has voiced fury over US President Donald Trump?s recent tweets telling four female Democratic politicians to ?go back? to the countries from which they came.

Viewers felt the same, and after reading the new statement, felt they had not adequately justified the ruling.

‘What a cop out. There’s something seriously wrong with the BBC’s policies. Should be utterly ashamed of themselves,’ one wrote.

Another said the ruling was ‘hair splitting nonsense’ and added: ‘If a comment is explicitly racist in its formulation, then it cannot be unreasonable for a presenter to point this out, especially drawing from their own experience. BBC should hang its head in shame.’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones sent a pointed message to her haters as she spent a day filming with new partner Mike Bushell.

Quite literally, a fashion statement.

Heading out of Strictly rehearsals ahead of this Saturday’s live show, Katya donned an over-sized grey coat over her jeans and t-shirt.

Painted across the back made her feelings clear as it stated: ‘You Only Know My Name, Not My Story.’

Katya has been making headlines away from the dancefloor over the past year after she was caught kissing dance partner Seann Walsh despite her marriage to fellow pro, Neil Jones.

Just before the start of this year’s series, Neil and Katya announced that they had separated, but remain on close terms.

Since then Neil has become a competitor in the competition for the first time, and is partnered with Alex Scott while Katya is with newscaster Mike.

Janette Manrara has also backed her friend, saying that the snogging scandal was ‘over-reacted’ to.

Appearing on the Jeremy Vine Show, she said: ‘It is in my opinion a bit of a double standard though. Men and women both make mistakes all the time, and there’s no right or wrong in that opinion.

‘You can say: “That was OK”, “That was OK”, “This was wrong”, “That was not wrong”. But when it came to that specific situation, it was just so highlighted because they were both on the biggest show in the country!’

Moving on from the moment, Mike and Katya seem to be getting on like a house on fire and hit a cowboy night to let their hair down before the first elimination this weekend.

Their day out is very in keeping with their performance song choice – where they’ll do an American Smooth to Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell.

They got off to a strong start in week one, performing a Jive to Do You Love Me by The Contours – earning 22 points and landing right in the middle of the leaderboard.

Will they have done enough to remain in the competition?

Meghan Trainor has been announced as the new judge on The Voice UK, replacing Jennifer Hudson.

The star will join Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Olly Murs on the judging panel to help find and shape up-and-coming stars.

On the announcement, Meghan said she was ‘excited and honoured’ to be on the show, and said: ‘It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to sit in the chair with my own button and listen to some incredible new talent!’

JHud announced that she would be leaving after three seasons judging the show because of commitments around the upcoming Cats movie and her role in the Aretha Franklin biopic.

Taking to Twitter, she explained: ‘Hey y’all! I’m sad to share that I won’t be able to join my friends in the red chair for @thevoiceuk this season due to filming commitments here in the States.’

‘I sure will miss my UK family, but I’ll be back soon for ‘Cats’ and ‘Respect’! Throw some shoes for me in the mean time,’ she added.

‘I’m so excited to come back to The Voice this year with a new energy and even a new knee – ready to defend my title as the winning Coach,’ Olly Murs teased.

‘It’s fantastic to introduce a new Coach to the team as well and I look forward to getting to know Meghan.’

The Circle: Woody flirting with Richard Madeley has nation cringing as he falls for ‘Judy’

Woody has no idea he’s talking to Richard Madeley (Picture: Channel 4)

The Circle has delivered its first mega-cringe moment of the series as 18-year-old Woody tried to hit on newcomer Judy – unaware that it was actually Richard Madeley.

Richard has been planted into the series to cause up trouble and is playing as 27-year-old posh girl Judy, with Woody immediately enamoured with her.

So when he decided to shoot his shot through the social media game, the whole nation couldn’t do anything but hide behind their pillows and watch it unfold.

To make it even weirder, Woody is Zoe Ball and Norman Cook’s son…so his parents may well know his catfish.

After Richard/Judy sent him a gift of a donut tree after arriving in The Circle, Woody slid into their DMs to thank them for the present.

Richard realised what was happening immediately, and said: ‘I’m guessing being a young, testosterone-fuelled 18-year-old, if that’s who is he, he wants to private message me, to Judy, because he fancies her.’

‘If he gets a bit fresh, I think I’ll know how I’ll play it,’ he added.

Things then got really weird really fast as Woody declares she’s a ‘babe’ and thanked her for the gift.

Judy The Circle
Woody thinks he’s talking to 27-year-old Judy (Picture: Channel 4)

In response, Richard/Judy told him: ‘A sweet treat, for a sweet-looking boy.’

He later went in for the kill and complimented ‘Judy’s’ profile picture, declaring: ‘Venice isn’t the only thing beautiful in that photo.’

‘Oh Woody…if only you knew,’ Richard laughed from the safety of his apartment.

So hilariously cruel.

Naturally, we couldn’t look away…as we hid behind our sofas as the scenes unfolded.

There’s about to be a shake up in the game as the players ended the episode by ranking their fellow players for the second time.

The results could change the game completely as the most popular are put in charge.

With alliances forming between the lads (Jay – actually a woman called Katie – Woody and Sy), and the scholar squad (Tim, Georgina and Brooke) it’s still anyone’s game.

Plus the catfishes are still going undetected, but for how much longer?

The Circle continues weeknights from 10pm on Channel 4.

The Circle’s Tim is quickly becoming the nation’s sweetheart thanks to his brightly coloured wardrobe and almost permanently happy personality.

And tonight he cemented his love with his two new besties Brooke and Georgina by revealing he was gay to them, talking about his other half of 19 years.

Starting a private chat between the three of them called the Scholar Squad, the trio – who are all playing as themselves – started chatting about wanting to learn languages.

However, Brooke seized the opportunity to hear something romantic, asking Tim how he met his partner.

‘I may be single, but I’m all up for a love story, and I see you’ve got a partner- how did you meet each other?,’ she asked him.

Tim then sighed and decided to confirm that the ‘partner’ in his bio was, as the pair had guessed, a man.

He responded: ‘I met my partner in Greece 19 years ago, and I’m still together with him.’

The Circle - Tim
Tim admitted he didn’t normally have to be so blunt (Picture: Channel 4)

Obviously, the girls loved to hear about the story – and wanted to know more about the super friendly player.

Mainly Brooke, who wanted to know the secret of having an other half last for 19 years.

‘The secret is, he knows best!’ Tim joked back.

He then said to the cameras: ‘I’m not normally so blunt as this, I normally expect other people to draw their own conclusions, based on the colour of my socks!’

Viewers cheers him on as he decided to open up to his mates – and declared him an icon instantly

Georgina declared that she loved love.

Getting to know things himself from his new buds, he decided to learn some new skills himself and attempted to hashtag.

He didn’t do it right and accidentally put the hashtag at the end, but the effort was there and we applaud him for it.

However there was a sting in the tail at the end of the episode as it was revealed that it was time for the players to rank everyone again.

The results could see another person getting blocked from the game.

Sir Elton John to reveal all with Graham Norton in his most ‘uncensored’ interview to date

Sir Elton John will recall his extraordinary life and career in a BBC One interview special with Graham Norton.

Titled Elton John: Uncensored, the special will look back over his 50 year career in the music industry, sharing stories, revisiting archive footage, and his biggest accolades.

Filmed in the south of France in August, Elton tells Graham about his childhood as Reg Dwight in post-war Pinner, Middlesex, and his rise to superstardom in the 1970s.

The interview will also cover his battles with addiction, as depicted in film Rocketman, and the positive effect fatherhood has had on his life.

Speaking about the special, Elton said: ‘The past two years have felt truly monumental for me, and with the release of Rocketman, the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and my autobiography coming up, it felt like the perfect opportunity to reflect on it all with Graham.

‘I’ve always enjoyed our catch-ups and this felt like the best yet.’

Graham said: ‘Like the rest of the nation I’m a massive fan of Sir Elton John’s music, but to sit down with him in his home to ask him about his life, career, and family was a huge privilege.

‘Funny, frank and fearless, I can’t wait for people to hear him tell his story.’

Jan Younghusband, head of TV commissioning for BBC Music, said: ‘BBC One brings the biggest music stars to television and national treasure Sir Elton John is absolutely one of the all-time greatest ever talents.

‘A global superstar and huge personality, we are so thrilled to be treating audiences to this exclusive show.’

It won’t be the only BBC special either, with Ken Bruce interviewing Elton for his BBC Radio 2 show on the Tracks Of My Years segment – with his picks featuring the likes of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles, and Aretha Franklin.

‘Music has always been the bedrock of my life, through good times and bad,’ Elton said.

‘It was wonderful to delve into the songs that mean the most to me with Ken – a real deep dive into some of the tracks that have defined the eras of my story. I hope people enjoy listening to it as much as I did putting it together.’

Elton John: Uncensored and Elton’s Tracks Of My Years will air in October on BBC One and BBC Radio 2 respectively.

Legal drama Suits has closed its final case after nine seasons and while there were many questions about how the show would end, one lingering one was whether Meghan Markle would make a comeback.

But while Suits creator Aaron Korsh thought about asking the Duchess of Sussex back to the show for its finale episode he revealed that he never actually extended the invitation.

‘In the end I didn’t ask, and I just thought, I’m going to respect her new life and not put her in the position of having to ask. We decided not to put her in that position so I never asked,’ he told Deadline.

In the show, Markle played the ambitious Rachel Zane, whose last appearance on the show in the season seven finale saw her marry Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams) and then subsequently leave for Seattle.

BGUK_1630555 - ** RIGHTS: WORLDWIDE EXCEPT IN UNITED STATES ** Los Angeles, CA - Trailer for new and final season of Suits heavily features Meghan Markle's previous scenes - one year after the actress-turned-Duchess left the hit legal drama show. Markle played Rachel Zane on the USA show's first seven seasons. For her last appearance on the show, she married Patrick J. Adams' character Mike Ross in the season seven finale. The episode aired in April 2018, just a month before the Duchess of Sussex's real-life wedding to Prince Harry. Now a new one minute clip promoting Suits' ninth and final season features some of Markle's most memorable moments on the show mixed with other character's biggest scenes too. The clip opens with Markle's scenes and she appears just as much as the show's lead Gabriel Macht who plays Harvey Spector. While Markle's on screen husband Adams is guest starring on the show for an unknown number of episodes in the final season, it's believed Markle will not be making a cameo. The final season premiere of Suits airs in the US on July 17, 2019. *BACKGRID DOES NOT CLAIM ANY COPYRIGHT OR LICENSE IN THE ATTACHED MATERIAL. But sometimes life imitates art with Markle choosing to leave acting to commit to her relationship with Prince Harry and her commitments as a royal.

Her final appearance was in April 2018, just a month before the Duchess of Sussex’s real-life wedding.

Suits have never been afraid to knowingly nod to Markle’s new social status, with multiple tongue-in-cheek references in the show to just how ‘well’ Rachel was doing.

Korsh also added several bonus Rachel references into the series finale and she also features poignantly in a montage, according to Radio Times.

‘I wrote that thing into the script. I am a nostalgic person. We talked about it. We weren’t sure it would work, and we weren’t sure how much to put in,’ he said.

‘There were certain people that thought we shouldn’t do it. I was open to hearing that maybe we shouldn’t do it because we did have a lot of endings.

‘All those people, when they actually saw it, decided they wanted it in, they liked it. For me, it adds to the good vibe of the show.’

Meanwhile, Meghan has opened up about the pressures of being a ‘working mum’ stating that her royal tour in South Africa with baby Archie is ‘a lot’.

‘My goodness it’s a lot, but it’s all so exciting, she said. ‘There are days when it’s a lot to juggle but then you meet someone, have an impact on them and it’s so rewarding.’

Luckily she has a bit of help at her side, with the couple’s nanny – their third – having been spotted on their current tour.

Watch the satirical clip of ‘The Greta Thunberg helpline’: a service for ‘adults angry at a child’

epaselect epa07864221 Greta Thunberg, the 16-years-old climate activist from Sweden, addresses world leaders at the start of the 2019 Climate Action Summit which is being held in advance of the General Debate of the General Assembly of the United Nations at United Nations Headquarters in New York, New York, USA, 23 September 2019. World Leaders have been invited to speak at the event, which was organized by the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, for the purpose of proposing plans for addressing global climate change. There’s been no shortage of outrage directed at activist Greta Thunberg after her passionate speech at the UN Climate Action Climate Action Summit but an Australian comedian has come up with an ingenious solution for her haters.

ABC 730 comedian Mark Humphries shared a satirical video about ‘The Greta Thunberg Helpline’ a service for ‘adults angry at a child’ and it understandably went viral.

The clip opens with a man sitting on a chair: ‘Hi I’m a middle-aged man with an embarrassing problem. I get irrationally angry at a Swedish girl who wants to save the planet.

‘Luckily there’s now a number I can call.’

The video then cuts to a call centre where a woman answers the phone of the fake helpline.

‘If you’re a grown adult who needs to yell at a child for some reason, The Greta Thunberg Helpline is here to tolerate you.’

The 16-year-old climate activist has received criticism from a smattering of sources from conservative commentators to world leaders – who the video notes are largely middle-aged white men.

Piers Morgan expressed his concern over Thunberg’s impact on young people and said she was being ‘melodramatic’ in saying the world is about to end.

This was perfectly picked up in the sketch in which a caller says ‘she’s just fuelling needless anxiety. She’s making the end of the world sound like it’s the end of the world’.

Ooh burn!

The video continues: ‘So before you go full caps lock in an article comment section, let our expert counsellors assess your situation.’

It shows a number of other callers who try to present their issues with the young change maker before ending with the message that ‘when it comes to climate change, we all know she’s the real problem.’

Other negative comments made about the Swedish schoolgirl have included Australian psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg expressing worry about her mental wellbeing expressing fears she is being used as a ‘political pawn’.

His concerns were dismissed by other mental health professionals.

Additionally, a US commentator compared her appearance to that of a Nazi propaganda girl which is really a ridiculous stretch.

But Thunberg had the best flex when she updated her Twitter bio to reflect mocking comments made by President Donald Trump.

But as the famous saying goes: ‘Not all men’.

In fact, natural historian Sir David Attenborough has been vocal with his support for the youth climate strikes.

‘Young people see things very clearly. And they are speaking very clearly to politicians.

‘They are the people who are going to inherit the mess that we’ve made,’ he said.

The Circle recap: Richard Madeley’s ‘Judy’ gets flirty with Woody ahead of second vote off

Richard Madeley, who will be appearing on the circle
Richard Madeley has been flirting up a storm on The Circle (Picture: Channel 4)

The Circle may have only kicked off a few days ago, but the Channel 4 series has already given us enough TV gold to last a good few months.

And last night’s instalment is absolutely no different.

In fact, newbie Richard Madeley has been settling into life as a Circler a little too well, and has been getting flirty with his co-stars.

Well, Judy has…

So, if you happened to have a Thursday night out, or were otherwise engaged, read on to see what you missed.

Richard Madeley’s ‘Judy’ an instant hit with Woody as they get their flirt on

Richard Madeley The Circle
Richard Madeley got a little too close to Woody (Picture: Channel 4)

Richard has been making himself right at home in the Circle, and alter-ego Judy seems to have gone down a treat with his co-stars.

But there is one Circler in particular who has taken a shine to the 27-year-old nutritionist tutor – Woody.

And, after branding the profile ‘fit’, Zoe Ball’s son took the opportunity to open up a private chat with her, to thank her for sending him some doughnuts.

Woody The Circle
Woody is falling for it hook, line and sinker (Picture: Channel 4)

Things then seemed to escalate from niceties to full on flirting as the pair got to know each other – or 18-year-old Woody got catfished by a 63-year-old man.

‘She’s got my catchphrase, speaks my lingo, it’s going well,’ the teenager commented after ‘Judy’ called him ‘sweet-looking’.

‘If only you knew,’ Richard joked.

Something tells us Woody won’t be watching this back in a hurry.

Emelle reveals she’s a catfish and co-stars are shook

Emelle - The Circle
Emelle was the first person blocked from the game (Picture: Channel 4)

Emelle was blocked from The Circle on the second day, with Tim and ‘Sammie’ deciding to vote her out.

And, after coming face-to-face with the ‘single mum’ who is actually a man called James, she shared a goodbye message to her fellow stars.

While Sy – who had been flirting with her – started panicking, he was quickly relieved to see her face, confirming she is the same as her profile picture.

But it wasn’t all true, as she revealed she had been ‘playing it straight’, and is in fact gay – apologising to the farmer for all the flirting.

Brooke is left shook by the whole thing, asking: ‘F**k! Who else has been lying about who they are?’

That’s for us to know…

Tim invents #ScholarSquad as ‘Jay’ and ‘Sammie’ get teary

Tim The Circle
Tim has started up his own squad and we want in (Picture: Channel 4)

Tim has been a total fan favourite since the second he stepped foot in his flat, and last night’s episode only went to cement this.

He decided to start up a #ScholarSquad with Brooke and Georgina, so they could help him learn a few things from a younger perspective.

After a chat about languages, he then opened up about his love life, telling his fellow squad members that he is gay, and has been with his partner for 19 years.

But it didn’t all go to plan, as Tim got a little confused about how to properly use a hashtag, making us all melt at home.

Total #SquadGoals.

Katie.
Katie was moved to tears on the show (Picture: Channel 4)

While the trio were having a whale of a time in their private chat, Katie and James embarked on an emotional rollercoaster in theirs, bonding over their families.

Katie – or ‘Jay – tells ‘Sammie’: ‘I genuinely get the feeling you’re a genuine gorgeous person,’ to which ‘she’ replied: ‘Hearing the way you talk about your mum gives me hope. In the position I’m in, I do feel like I’ve let Charlie down sometimes and he may miss out on having a normal family with a loving dad x.’

Unfortunately it all got too much for the pair, who were moved to tears by the chat.

How will they react when they come face-to-face and realise they’ve been catfishing each other?

Second round of ratings

Just when everyone was starting to bond, bosses threw a spanner in the works by asking the Circlers to rate their co-stars, with the highest rated players given the opportunity to eliminate someone of their choosing.

Thankfully for us all – and especially Woody – Richard/Judy is too new to rate or be rated, leaving the other seven stars in the firing line.

But who will be the next player blocked from The Circle?

The Circle continues nightly, at 10pm, on Channel 4.

Mel B has shone a whole new light on her Celebrity Juice co-captain Holly Willoughby.

Appearing on The Johnathan Ross Show, Scary Spice said of her new game show hosting gig that ‘the show is so much fun’ and admitted she’s ‘really competitive to a default actually.’

She then shared some rather frank thoughts about her co-captain Holly.

Mel said: ‘Holly’s very nice, you know she does This Morning, she’s very like prim and proper, she’s like the people’s lady, but man is she a b**** when it comes to the competition stuff.

‘She will drag my hair and my weave off to get to winning,’ she joked.

And we thought she was supposed to be the scary one!

Of Keith Lemon’s former Bo’ Selecta! sketch of her, she said: ‘I found that really funny. He was dressing up as me in leopard print, with a horrible mask and saying the most disgusting [things]. He really did go for it.’

‘He’s from Leeds, I’m from Leeds. We have the same kind of humour. God damn it that really is unflattering,’ she added.

Mel replaces Paddy McGuinness as team captain, who can’t take part due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.

The singer said in a statement: ‘I am so happy that I’m going to be part of the Celebrity Juice family and thrilled to be a captain.

‘My mission is to give Keith a run for his money. Watch out. Things are going to get even more crazy.’

Celebrity Juice returns Thursday 10 October at 10pm on ITV2.

The Jonathan Ross show airs at 10.30pm on Saturday night on ITV.

Sherlock’s Rupert Graves will be joining the A-list cast of Riviera for its third season.

The 56-year-old, who starred the much loved character DI Lestrade in the BBC drama, will be playing the likes of Gabriel Hirsch, and we just can’t wait.

While not much is known about his upcoming role, Sky have revealed that the character is ‘carefree, charismatic and worldly’ and will join Georgia (Julia Stiles) as her new alliance.

Talking about what fans can expect from the next installment, the Director of Drama and Sky Studios Cameron Roach revealed how proud he is of the series.

He said: ‘Riviera has really captured the imagination of our subscribers and we’re thrilled to be returning to the audacious and unpredictable world occupied by Julia Stiles as Georgina, alongside her new co-star Rupert Graves.

‘Riviera owns a unique space in the television landscape and we’re very proud of it as a show that offers the promise of danger and suspense whilst really entertaining and thrilling the viewer.’

Julia mirrored the same sentiment when giving a sneak peek into Rupert’s role.

‘The expansion of this season, in terms of the gorgeous new countries we visit, as well as our new cast members, means the web is even more tangled for Georgina,’ she explained.

‘I am thrilled to navigate this gilded conspiracy through her eyes and with Rupert Graves by her side.’

Both Julia and Rupert will join the likes of Poppy Delevingne, who plays Daphne Eltham, and Jack Fox – known for his role of Nico Eltham – as well as Lena Olin and Dimitri Leonidas.

Earlier this year, Julia confirmed the season three was in the works via a statement issued with Sky Atlantic.

She said: ‘You’d think that there was nothing left for the Riviera to throw at Georgina but series three is our most ambitious yet.

‘I am thrilled to be a part of this incredible drama for Sky Atlantic.

‘The chance to deliver another season of Riviera is exciting and I am grateful to our audience for coming along with us on this journey.’

On top of starring on the show, Julia will be working as an executive producer for the next installment of the eight-part-series.

Riviera is currently available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.

Kate Garraway causes havoc as she attempts to ride bike for first time in 38 years – and in heels

Kate Garraway caused havoc on the set of Good Morning Britain on Friday morning as she attempted to ride a bike for the first time in 38 years.

The 52-year-old presenter is taking part in the Palace to Palace charity ride, which will see the GMB team complete a 45 mile bike ride led by Youtuber Alfie Deyes from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle to raise money for The Prince’s Trust.

Getting in the cycling spirit, Kate pulled a black and green lycra one piece on over the top of her stylish suit, bringing a whole new outlook to the winter layering trend as her fellow presenters held back fits of laughter.

Kate was impressed with the padded contraption, joking that she had ‘quite a lot of padding anyway’ as she took to two wheels in preparation.

However, proclaiming not to have ridden a bike since she was 14 years old, the challenge ahead of Kate seemed to grow in size as she struggled to take off without the help of her co-host Ben Shephard.

As he held onto the seat as if he was learning for the first time, Kate gained a bit of confidence and went solo, attempting to pedal despite wearing some pretty high heels.

Sadly, the ride was short lived, coming to a halt as Kate, erm, gracefully crashed into the set.

Luckily, no damage was done in the process!

Emilia Clarke reveals what she tried to take from Game of Thrones set but HBO aren’t having any of it

Game Of Thrones new spin-off in the works
Emilia Clarke is still working on taking home Game of Thrones wig (Picture: HBO)

Emilia Clarke has revealed she tried to pinch her most prized possession from Game of Thrones – Daenerys Targaryen’s wig.

Game of Thrones ended this year to huge controversy, even if the cast had the last laugh last when they scooped up a further 12 Emmy Awards including the biggest prize of the night for Best Drama.

After almost a decade of playing the Mother of Dragons, naturally, Emilia wanted to keep a memento. But even the fantasy epic’s lead is getting the cold shoulder from a particularly precious HBO.

‘I was like, “Pretty please, can I have a wig?” Because that’s my thing, it’s my hair,’ Clarke told Access. ‘They were like, “Yeah, sure, maybe.”’

She added: ‘I have not seen the wig! We wrapped, like, a year and a half ago! I’m waiting for my wig.’

The 32-year-old’s admission is no surprise considering she previously revealed the first time she wore Dany’s iconic hairpiece is one of her favourite moments from eight seasons of Game of Thrones.

Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones
Iconic (Picture: HBO)

‘Eight years later, I’m still so excited to wear it,’ she enthused to Harper’s Bazaar.

Game of Thrones maybe over but Clarke is about to star in one of the most highly-anticipated films still to come in 2019, Last Christmas, where she’ll be belting out a festive bop.

Basically, her next venture couldn’t be a farther cry from Daenerys.

She also gets pooped on, which would have cost someone their head if it happened to the ‘Mad Queen’.

Game of Thrones seasons one to eight are available on Netflix. Last Christmas is out later this year.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received a cheeky jibe in the Suits finale, poking fun at their royal status.

The show came to an end after nine seasons with an episode revolved around the wedding between Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and Sheila Sazs (Rachael Harris), with another surprise wedding also taking place.

As Louis prepared to walk down the aisle, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) couldn’t resist a quick quip about his choice of attire.

Harvey asks Louis: ‘Wait a second, are you wearing a morning coat?’

Suits finale

‘Of course I’m wearing a morning coat,’ Louis replies. ‘Frankly, I’m disappointed you’re not.’

In response, Harvey says: ‘Louis, you’re not the prince of England.’

Get it? Like Harry? Stop that eye roll.

Meghan, who played lawyer Rachel Zane in the show, was also featured in a tribute montage in the episode – including scenes like Rachel getting stood up at her first wedding to Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), discovering the truth about his fake law degree, and their wedding in her final episode.

Suits has made a number of references to the Duchess Of Sussex since she left the show in 2018, including one earlier in the final season where Mike was asked how his wife was doing in Seattle after they relocated.

In response, Mike said: ‘If I told you how good, you probably wouldn’t believe me.’

Suits creator Aaron Korsh recently addressed why he didn’t invite Meghan back for the finale, explaining how he wanted to ‘respect her new life’.

Her final appearance in the show was in April 2018 where she married Mike Ross, a month before her real wedding to Prince Harry.

Suits is available to stream on Netflix.

The Circle buiding
The first week of The Circle season two is nearly complete (Picture: Studio Lambert)

It’s only week one of The Circle season two and we’ve already seen so much.

From learning the meaning of ‘snatched eyebrows’ to seeing Richard Madeley flirting with Fatboy Slim’s son Woody while pretending to be a 27-year-old called Judy (yes, really), the show truly is an eye-opener.

As we wait for the inevitable drama of the rest of the season to ensue, and for fan-favourite and absolute darling Tim to do something else pure, here’s what you need to know about when the next live episode and eviction will be…

What time is the next live episode of The Circle?

You won’t have long to wait, because the next live episode of The Circle will be tonight, Friday 27 September, at 10pm.

Happy Friday!

In tonight’s episode, celebrity guests will be seen discussing the events of the past week, and viewers will be able to vote.

On top of that, in live episodes, we’ll see the return of blocked players, who will get another chance to have their say on what went down in front of the nation.

The first player blocked from the game was catfish Emelle, who played as a straight and younger version of herself.

The other two catfishes, James (playing as a fake single mum called Sammie) and Katie (playing as her 25-year-old son James) are still in the game, but will they be able to make it through the next round of voting?

Only time will tell…

The Circle continues nightly, at 10pm, on Channel 4.

Love Island’s Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard to swap careers for own spin-off show

The bromance lives on (Picture: RTE/Getty)

Love Island’s Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard will be taking their bromance to the next level with their own spin-off show.

Before we return to Love Island for the first ever winter edition we’ve got more Tommy and Curtis coming in time for Christmas. Oh, joy.

The programme, which is currently thought to be titled The Boxer and Ballroom, will follow the pair as they trade careers. Tommy will become a ballroom dancer and Curtis will step into the ring as a boxer.

‘ITV wanted to explore a series for them, but didn’t just want a silly contrived fly-on-wall bromance type of show,’ an insider told The Sun.

Curtis has been non-stop since leaving the Love Island villa. Next month we’ll see him become a drag superstar as a mentor in the first ever RuPaul’s Drag Race UK before he joins The Greatest Dancer as their new receptionist.

And then he’s also fighting back to ‘fat-shaming’ trolls with his emotional new Weight Watchers campaign.

The boys are back (Picture: GC Images)

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, he insisted he’s absolutely not worried about the response to his new WW ad.

‘I’m not worried about what fans [think] about…,’ he told us. ‘It’s incredible I can even say “worried about fans”. I’m a normal person; it’s absolutely wild!

‘Obviously, coming out of the villa I was fat-shamed by the papers. Can I just say, in 2019, I think this is ridiculous. People shouldn’t be fat-shamed.

‘There are much larger things going on in life than people who are worried about other people’s weight, as in shaming them and making them feel bad about themselves.’

Love Island returns to ITV2 in 2020 while Tommy and Curtis’ new show is expected to air before Christmas.
