Lewis has already had a pretty impressive year – he released his debut album and topped the UK Singles chart for seven weeks – and performing at the Strictly Come Dancing results show should have been another proud achievement, although some claim the studio audience ruined this special moment.
Fans of the Scottish crooner were outraged as the star took to the stage to perform his signature hit Someone You Loved, but was drowned out for most of the performance thanks to the audience cheering the live dancers.
Aljaž Škorjanec and Janette Manara accompanied Capaldi with a sensual routine, but fans weren’t happy that the audience’s enthusiasm for the dancing drowned out the singer’s vocals.
What was wrong with the crowd when @LewisCapaldi was singing whooping every 2 mins have manners #Strictly it was just a dance jeez 🙄🙄
I love Strictly and Lewis Capaldi – the cheering of the audience totally ruined tonight’s performance. I know they’re being told to do it but it was such a beautiful performance from dancers and Lewis and needed the silence to take it all in. #Strictly@bbcstrictly
@gregjames The funniest thing for me was seeing @LewisCapaldi looking so confused at the end as he’d missed the whoop worthy dance as he had his eyes closed 🤣 Full credit to him for not being put off with all those cheers – not the usual reaction to that song! #strictly
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.

He’s back at it, but this time, it’s his poop in the spotlight… or, all over the sand.
Just minutes into Sunday evening’s episode, Ben could be seen answering nature’s call right on the beach.
However, the 24-year-old reality television contestant misjudged his spot to squat and his, er, deposits ended up being washed around in the sea.

Cut to fellow contestant, Cat, remarking in shock: ‘It’s all over the beach, man.’
They had been washed back onto the shore, to the horror of all of other contestants.
Ben looked slightly nervous as he reassured his camp mates: ‘I’ll move it!’
We then saw Ben scooping up the sand surrounding his excrement and throwing it out into the sea, screaming: ‘S**t ball!’

Fellow contestant Morag then joked: ‘This camp has fallen down in its levels of hygiene to its lowest of the low.’
Ben dusted off his hands and said: ‘Hopefully that’s the last we’ll be seeing of that.’
In the very first episode, Ben shocked his fellow contestants by drinking his urine, despite being given 24 hours’ worth of food and water.

Showing off a bottle of the yellow fluid, he joked: ‘Looks like p**s, smells like p**s, tastes like heaven.’
He then held his nose and chugged down the contents, in front of his baffled co-stars – who hadn’t quite found themselves at urine-drinking levels just yet.
Waitress Ruby couldn’t stand to watch the double-glazing salesman’s antics, quickly running away from the scene, before asking: ‘What are you drinking your wee for again?’
‘I had p**s and I didn’t want to waste it,’ he replied.
It comes about after Ben also ate goat’s poo on last week’s episode.
What’s next then, Ben?

World On Fire was brought in as the next big Sunday night drama, starring Sean Bean, which follows different people in different countries during World War II.
In the first episode the storyline touched on Mosley’s rise as fascist leader and the blackshirts. It was also one of the plot threads of Peaky Blinders, with the gripping finale showing Mosley taking his place at the head of the British Union of Fascists.
While Claflin did not reprise the role, the mention didn’t go unnoticed by viewers who had watched both series.
‘Didn’t expect Oswald bloody Mosley to show up in what I’ve dubbed my replacement of Peaky Blinders on a Sunday night!’ read one comment on Twitter.

Another viewer joked that BBC One was ‘carrying on with its Mosley/Blackshirt theme’, while another pondered: ‘So #PeakyBlinders ended with Mosley and #WorldonFire starts with Mosley? Accidental or clever scheduling?’
Referring to the events of the Peaky Blinders finale that saw Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) betrayed by a mystery person, another fan tweeted: ‘#PeakyBlinders ends and we continue to see Mosley’s fascists… if only Finn had kept his mouth shut.’
In the episode Tommy plotted to have Mosley assassinated while delivering a speech a party rally. But everything went terribly wrong as someone got wind of his plan and put a stop to it, killing both the would-be assassin and Shelby family friend Aberama Gold (Aidan Gillan).
World On Fire airs Sundays at 9pm on BBC One.

Breaking Bad movie El Camino is dropping in 11 days’ time (not that we’re counting) and Old Joe is going to be making a comeback…but is he going to be willing to help Jesse.
A new teaser clip sees Joe (Larry Hankin) still lazing the days away with his feet up over at Rocky Salvage Yard – apparently one of the only people in Albuquerque that hasn’t changed a bit since he last appeared on our screens.
Watching a news report on the disappearance of Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), handyman Joe gets a phone call from a mystery man/woman.
‘Yeah I know who this is. At this point, who doesn’t?’ he declared.
It seems likely that he’s talking to the man in question, particularly as a news alert for the missing former meth dealer is blaring on the screen.
But I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Old Joe gets a call from an old friend (Picture: Netflix)
More than 10 characters from the original series, which ended in 2013, will be coming back as the mystery of what happens to Jesse continues.
Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Brandon ‘Badger’ Mayhew (Matt Jones) have also been given a new lease of life, with Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Skyler White (Anna Gunn) and Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) also possibilities.
But the one fans are desperate for is Walter White (Bryan Cranston) despite the fact he was seen bleeding out around his beloved drugs trade in the final seconds of the series finale.
Presumed dead, the cancer suffering teacher-turned-drug mogul is still the man of the hour, and a fleeting moment in the trailer for El Camino hinted he could be back.
Is he? Or are we just getting our hopes up?
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is released 11 October on Netflix.

The Chandler Bing storyline Matthew Perry axed (Picture: Warner Bros.)
Matthew Perry axed another controversial LGBT Friends storyline, which would have seen Chandler Bing go to a gay bar because he was a fan of their toasties.
Friends turned 25 earlier this month and while it remains the most popular show across all streaming services 15 years after Rachel got off the plane, the sitcom hasn’t always aged well – particularly in its mockery of the gay community.
Chandler’s transgender father, played by Kathleen Turner, was a fabulous drag artist, starring in her own Las Vegas residency, titled Viva Las Gaygas. Any acknowledgment of his dad’s sexuality was met with a spine-curdling shudder from Chandler, which often resulted in laughs from the studio audience.
So, would the canned laughter have rolled out because Chandler went to a gay bar?
In a new book, Generation Friends: An Inside Look At The Show That Defined a Television Era, author Saul Austerlitz claims Matthew, 50, shut down a plot which would have seen Chandler dine out in a gay bar because they do the best tuna melts. Presumably, a straight man in a gay bar being the butt of the joke.
Saul explains: ‘Perry said no, and the story was shelved.’
Matthew Perry wasn’t into a Chandler Bing gay bar storyline (Picture: Rex)
‘It never went through but they were going to have Rachel move in with Gunther,’ actor James Michael Tyler – who was initially cast as an extra in Friends before Gunther became a surprise hit and he shot up the rankings – exclusively told Metro.co.uk.
‘I remember reading the first draft of that script and thinking, “Oh man, they’re never going to make this work.”
‘It just didn’t read, even to me. I was not ungrateful that it didn’t work. Through no fault of Jennifer or myself or the writing, it just felt contrived and everything else that happened in the series, and continues to be, was quite organic.
‘Nothing was contrived – let’s put these two people together for no reason. Everything happened naturally and I think it’s for that reason it’s still loved to this day.’
Friends airs daily on Comedy Central.

Amy Dowden looked buzzing to go back into rehearsals with celebrity partner Karim Zeroual (Picture: Backgrid)
Strictly Come Dancing star Karim Zeroual had every reason to look in high spirits as he headed to rehearsals with professional dancer partner Amy Dowden.
After the second week of Strictly the pair topped the leaderboard with a fabulous 32 points for their foxtrot, getting some glowing feedback from the judges – particularly Shirley Ballas.
Not only that, Karim’s odds of lifting the glitterball trophy have been slashed, bringing him closer to the current favourite, Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.
Karim and Amy put on a jokey display for the cameras as they arrived for another gruelling training session in Manchester
The pair laughed together and showed off some impressive high kicks before getting to work before Movie Week on Sunday.
According to bookmakers Ladbrokes, Karim’s odds of winning have been slashed to just 9/4.
The presenter is now the close second favourite to become 2019 champion behind Kelvin and his partner Oti Mabuse, who are sitting pretty at the top with odds of 2/1.

And with news earlier this month that their reality series will soon be back on TV screens, we want to know if their nuptials will be shown?
When is Spencer, Vogue and Wedding Two on TV?
The show, a follow-up to Spencer, Vogue and Baby Too, will start airing on E4 from October 2019.
Speaking about the show, Vogue, 33, said: ‘I am so excited that our show is returning to E4. I love working with Spenny.’
‘Watching Theodore coming close to one years old, celebrating our wedding by hosting a big party and having Winston find his way through all of it is going to be so much fun. I hope you have as good a time watching it as we do making it.’
Spencer, 31, added: ‘Vogue’s career is going from strength to strength… I’m just glad to have been of service. And a big thank you to E4 for recommissioning us.’
Will Spencer and Vogue’s wedding be in the show?
From what we’ve been told by the show makers, it seems very likely.
Emily Hudd, Joint MD of Rumpus Media who commission the show, said: ‘This time round they’re going to be celebrating Theodore’s first birthday, organizing a wedding party for their friends and giving us plenty more unique and funny insight on relationships.’
So there’s every hope we’ll get some sneaky footage of the actual big day, too.
If Spencer has his way, the two might be set for a busy honeymoon. Spencer, Vogue and Honeymoon Too has a ring to it… no?
Top Gear has inspired an upcoming Lego Technic set (Picture: BBC)
Top Gear and Lego have teamed up to make a set inspired by the car show.
It will be a Technic set, which ‘will provide a more-challenging build and include real-life functionality designed after its real-world car counterparts’.
We’re guessing that means don’t get it unless you’re Pretty Good at Lego, or you aren’t and just fancy pushing yourself a bit.
While there will be no figurines included, you might still feel inspired to build your own Jeremy Clarkson and recreate that fracas that got him dropped from the show in 2015.
Or if you’re a fan of the new lineup of Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris you can have a crack at creating them instead.
The set is aimed at children aged nine and over but we’re sure there are some big kids who would love to get their hands on it too.
Top Gear Lego is set to launch globally in early 2020.
The current Top Gear line up of Paddy McGuinness, Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff (Picture: BBC)
Head of licensing at BBC Studios Jason Easy, said: ‘We are extremely excited to have partnered with Lego Technic.
‘Both brands enjoy a very close relationship with their fans; it’s certainly a natural fit for both, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the Lego Technic set hit the shelves next year.’
Meanwhile Freddie seems to have fully recovered after a drag race crash during filming for the new series.
The 41-year-old was driving a trike when it veered off the track at Elvington Airfield at high speed. But thankfully he managed to come out basically unscathed with his helmet and full racing suit doing their job.
It was the same track that left Richard Hammond in a coma a decade earlier.
Insisting to Mail Online that he was ‘absolutely fine’ after the incident, Freddie said: ‘I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in Top Gear drag races but on this occasion I went a few lengths too far.
‘It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV.’

Ewan McGregor will be returning to the Star Wars universe as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Photo Lucasfilm/Kobal/REX)
Ewan McGregor will be returning to the Star Wars universe for the first time in a decade as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new TV series for Disney+.
Now, the director for the prequel series has finally been unveiled.
Deborah Chow – who will also be directing episodes of another Star Wars series, The Mandalorian – was announced today as the director of the project by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
‘We really wanted to select a director who is able to explore both the quiet determination and rich mystique of Obi-Wan in a way that folds seamlessly into the Star Wars saga,’ Kennedy told Variety. ’Based on her phenomenal work developing our characters in The Mandalorian, I’m absolutely confident Deborah is the right director to tell this story.’
‘Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope’ (Photo: Lucasfilm/Fox/Kobal/REX)
Here’s everything we know about the new TV series so far:
Who is in Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Star Wars series cast?
At the time of writing, McGregor is the only actor attached to the project – but keep checking back, we’ll update with more information when we have it.
When is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series set?
The series will be set after Anakin Skywalker’s turn to the Dark Side in Revenge of the Sith (Photo: Lucasfilm/Fox/Kobal/REX)
The series has been confirmed to be set in an (unspecified) time scale, somewhere after the events of Revenge of the Sith but before A New Hope.
This timing is significant, since fans will know acting legend Alec Guiness first played the older version of the Obi Wan character in the original Star Wars trilogy. This new series will help plug the gap between the younger and older versions we’ve seen of the Jedi Master.
When will the Obi-Wan Kenobi prequel be released on Disney+?

We don’t yet know when the series will be released but check for more information when we get it.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi prequel series will be available to stream on Disney+.

Move away Love Island and Towie – The Circle’s the future of reality TV (Picture: Rex/Getty)
The Circle is back on our tellys and I’m here to declare something major: It’s actually the best reality show around right now.
That’s right lads, it’s even better than Love Island.
There was a time when reality competitions ruled the roost, and viewers were charmed by the relatable personalities of the ‘normal’ folk involved in all their quirky glory.
None more so than Big Brother, before it lost its way. As time went on, and the stakes were upped beyond the point of repair, it stopped being normal and started to become full of scandal with meltdowns and mental health issues as cabin fever began to set in on the show’s stars.
Nowadays, we’re presented with over-produced ‘reality’ that we’re all meant to swallow as true when everyone knows it’s not really. The amount of unfortunate run-ins the cast of Towie have with their ex would be enough to make anyone simply move house. The streets of London have never been smaller than on Made In Chelsea, where the one person you don’t want to see just happens to be brunching at the Bluebird, perfectly lit with a camera… and honestly who has that many masquerade parties?!
But then came along The Circle, and it’s a brilliant and wonderful reminder that people are their best when they’re left to their own devices.
The Circle works in two parts – the first, allowing someone to be themselves and wander aimlessly around their specially created flat as they see fit. Then there’s the second part, the persona they put on for others.
As a result, I’m crying with laughter on a near regular basis, with twists as brilliant as Richard Madeley pretending to be a 27 year old woman called Judy, and viewers privy to information that even the own players don’t have – each other’s real identity.
We’re in on the game, and it’s a real powerful place to be.
Only communicating through a social profile created by each player the way they see fit, it’s a pure lesson in just how easy it is to deceive others on the internet – which in and of itself, is a lesson. Currently a single mum called Katie is pretending to be her grown up son Jay, while Liverpudlian Jay is tugging at the heartstrings of the other players by pretending to be single mum, Sammie. Oh, how the other half live.
Then we get to sit back and watch as we wait for the catfish to be discovered, if they are at all.
The Circle’s brilliant because it reveals authentic selves through fake personas – they’re by themselves and therefore have no one to impress, and the game-playing is put front and centre as they try and win each other over.
The Circle is a more accurate representation of real people despite being partly based in alternate reality (Picture: Channel 4)
There’s no sugar-coating the real intention here – The Circle is quite literally a game of popularity, with those being voted the most popular earning rights and privileges the others don’t. This isn’t unlike Love Island, only on Love Island you have to convince the public at home and your fellow islanders that you’re a good person that’s actually in love.
But Love Island has a major flaw that try as it might, it will just not get around easily – the inclusivity.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love me some pieing, Flack Attacks and mugging offs and much as the next person. I spent more time than I’m proud of this summer cheering on Maura as she clapped back at Tom, wanting to hug Amy as Curtis broke her heart, but there are strings being pulled behind the scenes and conversations being encouraged that wouldn’t have normally, and for some reason we just have to pretend as a collective we don’t know that.
The Circle is inclusive in a way that Love Island can never be – sexuality representation, body positivity, disabilities or age just aren’t built into the world Love Island has created for itself.
Within the space of a week on Channel 4, we’ve seen all those things, repeatedly, in different ways.
Love Islanders are tasked with finding love – and getting the audience at home to fall for them too (Picture: Rex Features)
Georgina spoke proudly, honestly and hilariously about her battle with Crohn’s disease that resulted in her getting an ileostomy. She showed off photos of herself in a bikini with a bag on her stomach and a beaming smile on her face. She bragged she could sit through the whole of Titanic without needing to go to the loo because of it. It was part of her.
It’s something that hasn’t gone unnoticed by viewers with stoma bags, who rarely, if ever, see their illness represented on TV like this.
A week in and the viewing public voted to bring in new girl Ella, a happy and bubbly plus-sized girl, and over muscled gym buddy Kevin ‘who looked a bit like Aston Merrygold from JLS’.
It certainly makes for a more colourful and delightful world than the stars that make up the Love Island cast, who have literally been called out for looking exactly the same in every country’s version of the addictive format. A literal one size fits all.
Love Island have defended their casting choice, saying that the cast are ‘meant to be attracted to each other’ and I guess in a small way they have a point. I don’t want to spend the summer watching an actual plus-sized girl/guy having their confidence knocked over and over as they fall for someone only to be ignored for the one with the abs.
Or even worse, the potential fat-shaming as the offenders skirt around the issue and say there’s ‘no sexual chemistry’ or ‘just not being attracted to them’.
Fluidity in sexuality is also out, because unless everyone was bisexual it just wouldn’t work with the format of the show. Katie Salmon and Sophie Gradon threw a serious spanner in the works in series two when they coupled up, and it was incredible. It also sadly, wasn’t sustainable as the men vs women dynamic was changed.
Have someone trans on the show? No, because then it runs the risk of turning into the early 2000s reality TV horror story of There’s Something About Miriam if they choose not to disclose. Trans people deserve so much more than being represented by a load of gossip and whispers around the villa.
Noone is this perfect lying in bed. Sorry to break it to you (Picture: ITV)
Love Island deserves to be the smash hit it is, but it becomes a victim of its own success when more and more people want in on the show, not for love, but for that sweet, sweet clothing deal that awaits them at the end of it.
This year alone, Amber has signed a £1million deal with Miss Pap, Ovie is now an ASOS man, and Molly-Mae is a face of Pretty Little Thing. In fact, the entire show has become an advert for the highest online clothing store bidder, with this year’s islanders supplied with ISawItFirst costumes and clothing that can be purchased via the app.
Over on The Circle, you get theology professor Tim wearing the brightest waistcoats and shirts you ever did see, and dressing up like he’s attending Henley Regata just so he can go for a walk and read a book on a treadmill.
He’s purity in human form and his involvement in the show alone makes it worth a watch.
Reality TV is going nowhere, whether you like it or not. It’s just nice to actually see some reality for a change – even if it is through the eyes of a catfish.
The Circle airs weeknights at 10pm on Channel 4.

The newest edition of The X Factor will see celebrities compete to be crowned Champion, and Love Island’s Zara McDermott is determined to prove she’s got the vocal chops to do just that.
Zara is joining the show part of supergroup competing for glory in The X Factor: Celebrity including fellow former Islanders Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty, and Eyal Booker.
Ahead of her singing debut, the former government advisor has uploaded a video to prove her vocal prowess.
Taking to Instagram, the 22-year-old struck a very Sia-esque pose with half her face covered in the monochromatic clip where she sings a heart-wrenching ballad.
‘First time I’ve ever had the confidence to post something like this,’ she wrote. ‘I used to lock myself in my studio for hours every Sunday writing my own music or recording covers. I tried this song out today, if you don’t know it, it’s Blessed by Daniel Caesar.’
At the time of writing, the clip has nearly a quarter of a million views and has fans stunned.
The Islanders (Wes Nelson, Zara McDermott, Eyal Booker and Samira Mighty) are vying for glory on The X Factor: Celebrity Provider: ITV
Quoting the mighty Louis Walsh, one fan said: ‘You look a pop star, you sound like a pop star, you ARE a pop star.’
Ahead of its launch, The X Factor: Celebrity has also announced the rest of its line-up. Alongside the Love Island supergroup, there’s a cacophony of talent on-board; from Glee star Kevin McHale, The Chase quizmaster Jenny Ryan, Eastenders’ Jonny Labey, reality star Megan McKenna and even journalist Martin Bashir.
Much like the normal version of the show, contestants are split into Unders, Overs and Groups.
The X Factor: Celebrity will air on ITV this October.

The move comes after the show’s third cycle dropped this summer to a rapturous reception by critics and fans.
The clip shows the logo of the show trapped in the Upside Down, becoming smothered and dulled by vines and fog. There’s a clock embedded on a tree, signalling that time is running out for our heroes. Just has the logo is crushed completely a warning comes up on the screen – we’re not in Hawkins anymore.
The stars of the show – including Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard – have remained tight-lipped so far on the renewal, they have so far just posted the announcement video across social media with the same ominous warning. So, just to be clear, we are really not in Hawkins anymore.
Following on from the renewal, Netflix have also signed the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, to an overall deal to produce TV and film content for the streaming service.

‘The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,’ said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer, Netflix.
‘We can’t wait to see what The Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down.’
The Duffer Brothers said:
‘We are absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Netflix. Ted Sarandos, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright, and Matt Thunell took a huge chance on us and our show — and forever changed our lives. From our first pitch meeting to the release of Stranger Things 3, the entire team at Netflix has been nothing short of sensational, providing us with the kind of support, guidance, and creative freedom we always dreamed about. We can’t wait to tell many more stories together — beginning, of course, with a return trip to Hawkins!’
Hopper’s fate is one of the many question season 4 of Stranger Things will have to answer (Picture: Netflix)
The newest season of the nostalgic sci-fi hit will hopefully have lots of answers to fans questions; from the fate of Hopper (David Harbour) following his emotional sacrifice, to the mysterious ‘American’ being held captive by the Russians and Joyce Byers’ (Winona Ryder) decision to move her family, and Eleven, away from Hawkins for a fresh start.
Stranger Things 4 is coming to Netflix in 2020.

We saw Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) brother in season 11 of The Big Bang Theory, who arrived around the time of Sheldon’s wedding to Amy (Mayim Bialik).
The pair had an estranged relationship on the show but managed to work things out ahead of the big day.
Georgie was introduced as a man with a head for business, and it’s been the case from a young age.
In the premiere episode of season three of Young Sheldon, which follows Parsons’ character as a boy, Georgie (Montana Jordan) starts up a Texas snow globe business.
Ultimately it left people cold and failed to take off, but it’s an early indication of Georgie striving for success.
When we meet Georgie as a man, he’s finally made it and owns Dr. Tire, the biggest tyre retailer in Texas.

Young Sheldon has generally shied away from connections to The Big Bang Theory, so this one is pretty significant.
The last mention to its parent show came just before the last ever episode of TBBT aired earlier this year, when we saw Sheldon’s future friends – including Leonard, Penny and Raj – as children in their bedrooms.
In the scene, Parsons, who narrates the show, says: A primary feature of quarks is that they’re always bonded together.

‘But in that moment, I felt like a neutrino, destined to be alone forever.
‘Thankfully I was wrong. Some day, we’ll be together.’
In the two-part The Big Bang Theory season 12 finale, which went out in May, it was revealed that Sheldon and Amy had won the Novel prize they so desperately wanted.
Meanwhile Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) revealed they were going to have a baby – despite Penny previously insisting several times that she didn’t want children.

Chris Ramsey appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two and left viewers cackling after explaining why he looked like he just watched a disaster unfold after his routine on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 33-year-old and dance partner Karen Hauer graced the stage with their moves and Chris impressed everyone with his Charleston.
Bringing up the photo of Chris after getting praised by judges, host Rylan Clark-Neal said: ‘We need to mention something we picked up on last night in the elimination. Have a look at this face. What is this all about?’
Chris said: ‘I wasn’t expecting Tess to say we would find out later. That is a look of fear and I was mortified. I burst out laughing watching it later.
‘What is that? Fred Astaire?! I’ve got a lot to live up to!’
After a disappointing first week that saw them come in second to last, Chris and Karen raked in the points last week and managed to land themselves square in the middle thanks to Chris’ injury-inducing Charleston.
Chris’ Cha-Cha-Cha during the first week disappointed the judges, but Karen compared his attempt at the Charleston this week to Fred Astaire.

She said: ‘He is getting more confident which is what I want. I want him to gain confidence in what he’s doing because you can do it and it was possible.
‘…He is like Fred Astaire!’
Chris replied: ‘The greatest dancer in the world, I’ve got to come in and ruin his memory!’
Cut yourself some slack, Chris.
Meanwhile, popular former professional dancer Flavia Cacece made a surprise appearance on Monday evening’s show.
She was on the show from 2006 to 2012 and won the series with gymnast Louis Smith.
Fans were clearly excited to see the dancer on their screens.
One person tweeted: ‘#ItTakesTwo @bbcstrictly bring back @FlaviaCacace she is a lady and so talented xx’.
‘When Rylan is sitting down you forget he is 18 feet tall. How fabulous to have goddess @FlaviaCacace back on the sofa #ItTakesTwo,’ another said.

And now it seems the GC can’t help but give her two cents about it all.
Speaking to the The Mirror on Monday, she simply said: ‘I’m glad.
‘There’s having a laugh and there’s taking it too far.
‘Karma is a beautiful thing, and John Barrowman is now filling his boots. So see you later, honey! Next!’ she added.

Jason and Gemma exchanged some choice words back and forth while Gemma was a contestant on the last season of Dancing on Ice.
Live on air, the Towie star accused Jason of selling stories about her to tabloid news outlets. This was after Jason gave her a scathing review of her skating performance, citing it lacked elegance.
Jason also recently went on This Morning and called Gemma a ‘refrigerator.’
Gemma added in her latest interview: ‘There’s criticism, and there’s calling someone a fridge. He was referring to my body size.’
In it, a camera crew follow her around as she does everyday things like attempt to buy a house and go on a trip to see her celebrity friend Jonathan Cheban.

Through all of this, there’s been a funny, warm narrator making witty observations. So… who is she?
Who narrates The Circle on Channel 4?
The voice over on The Circle is Sophie Willan.

The British comedian was born in Bolton and spent time in foster care as a child.
Her upbringing with a parent addicted to drugs and becoming an escort for a while helped shape the content of her own comedy shows.
She told the Guardian she was given advice to ‘find a way to make it funny in five minutes that my mum was a heroin addict, without freaking people out.’
Apart from being the narrator of The Circle, what else has she done?
Being The Circle’s voice-over isn’t all Sophie has been up to.
Her acclaimed BBC Radio 4 series, Sophie Willan’s Guide to Normality, has had two successful seasons so far.
TV appearances have included Live At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), As Yet Untitled (Dave) and The One Show (BBC One).
She had her own stand up show, On Record, in 2015 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This was based on her experiences growing up in and out of the care system and working as an escort.
Escorting helped fund her showbiz career, and she told the Guardian: ‘It shouldn’t be made a big thing of. It’s just a bit of who I am.’
The follow-up show, Branded, was a huge success for Sophie, winning her a Herald Angel Award and a nomination for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2017.
She later took the show to a three-week run at Soho Theatre and a month long run in Australia’s Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Even prisoners were addicted to Love Island this summer (Picture: Channel 4)
Crime and Punishment viewers were flabbergasted tonight when a convict expressed his outrage that he was being made to miss Love Island due to a raid on his cell.
In Monday night’s episode of the Channel 4 documentary series, a group of prison officers were seen restraining one inmate at HMP Winchester outside his cell, which was being raided for drugs like spice and contraband including mobile phones.
But it seemed the whole raid was a real inconvenience for the inmate who ordered the officers to speed up their search so he could ‘watch Love Island in peace’.
As his mattress and other belongings were being flipped over, the man said furiously: ‘I got a programme to watch, 9 o’clock. Come on hurry up man.
‘I’m just trying to watch Love Island in peace.’
It seems Love Island fever even reached prison this summer.
Needless to say, viewers couldn’t believe what they heard and shared their reactions to the inmate’s TV addiction on Twitter.

One entertained viewer said: ‘You gotta admire the keeness to watch #LoveIsland in Prison eh lol [sic].’
Another quipped: ‘“I’m just trying to watch love island in peace” hun, get a grip, give up your spice and you can get back to Cazza [sic].’
Clearly not a fan of the Love Island dating series, another remarked: ‘I suppose love island is a type of torture.’
Another viewer was furious that the prisoner even had access to a TV, commenting: ‘You shouldn’t even be allowed to watch love island. Such a joke. Shouldn’t even be allowed pen and paper in prison let alone a fucking tv [sic].’
After calming down, the prisoner addressed the spice epidemic in the prison, saying: ‘They can never stop the wave. Obviously we’re going to find a way around the system.
‘We’re just trying to make a living so by locking people up, you’re not doing anything.’
He continued: ‘When you outside they don’t give a f**k about you. Why have we got the highest rate of reoffending in the whole of Europe? 50% of prisoners are all in here on licence recall. One in two is going to come back to jail, it’s just a f****d up system and it’s always going to be like that because them politicians are a bunch of batty boys.’
During their raid, the prison officers discovered a mobile phone stashed in the middle of a pack of biscuits, and one which a prisoner had kept ‘up his backside’.
Crime and Punishment continues on Channel 4 next Monday at 9pm.

Joey Essex got a little confused over poultry (Picture: BBC)
Joey Essex was having a hard time noticing the difference between a gigantic leg of lamb and a whole de-feathered chicken on tonight’s episode of Celebrity Masterchef.
The beginning of the episode had the celebrities cook a hearty meal for coastguards but our lovely Joey struggled to keep up.
Joey, along with Dillian and Neil were put into the red team with Jenny Ryan as the team leader.
Jenny initially didn’t know what her team would be cooking, but was given endless lamb shoulder, dover sole and vegetables which included legs of lamb.
Looking at the lamb, the former Towie star said: ‘What are these? Are these chickens?’
‘Do they look like chickens to you? When have you ever seen a chicken that big?,’ Dillian said.
Yikes.
That doesn’t look even a little like chicken (Picture: BBC)
Someone explain this to him, please (Picture: BBC)
A few moments later, the personality was still struggling with formerly living animals and fish.
The team were making grilled dover sole for the staff and volunteers at the coastguard but Joey couldn’t get himself to handle the fish.
Speaking to Jenny, Joey said: ‘I’m not the man for fish, just putting it out there. Me and fish don’t get on.’
We bet you’re alright with fish fingers, Joey.
Fans took to Twitter to question Joey’s culinary skills, with one saying: ‘Joey thinks a leg of lamb is a dead chicken without it’s feathers #celebritymasterchef.’
‘Barely 5 minutes in and already Joey is cracking us up #noitisntachicken #CelebrityMasterChef,’ another said.
Meanwhile, the blue time – which consists of Vicky, Dom, Greg and Kellie – seemed to be smooth sailing with their cooking.

Georgina is not here for Judy’s catty comments (Picture: Channel 4)
Ella wastes no time in calling Judy a ‘boujee b*tch’ after two minutes of talking to her during tonight’s episode of The Circle.
The new girl had just finished her date with Jay when she got the opportunity to speak to the girls chat on her first morning there.
Asking Ella how her first night was, ‘Judy’ said: ‘Hey Ella. Welcome, how did you sleep? Aren’t the sheets awful? Reckon they got them at a pound shop? I wish I brought my own,’ along with a sad face.
The girls didn’t appreciate ‘Judy’s’ comment, especially after last night’s debacle with Tim.
‘Lol Judy is a boujee b*tch, I rate it,’ Ella said, laughing at the comment.
Georgina, on the other hand, said: ‘Wow! JUDY! I think the sheets are lovely, and that’s really bloody rude actually.’
Meanwhile, Brooke is getting sick of Judy’s behaviour, questioning whether the now snobby Judy thinks ‘this is the Ritz’.
Ella, on the other hand, is here for it (Picture: Channel 4)
Richard’s a little too good at this (Picture: Channel)
Fans are appreciating how well Richard Madeley is fooling the other contestants with his new snobby personality.
One fan tweeted: ‘I’m howling at #thecircle , Richard has played Judy so well GENIUS.’
‘#thecircle Richard finds it suspiciously easy to make Judy and insufferable b***h, wonder where he gets his inspo,’ another tweeted.
Last night, Ella came in loud and proud, looking to prove she’s a ‘fun gal’.
Choosing to play as herself, Ella set up her profile, making sure everyone knew they could find her at a pub quiz.
It’s not The Circle unless they add a little bit of excitement every two seconds now is it?
Ella was given permission to ask a fellow player to go on a date in the hangout.
So far, it looks like she’s fitting in a lot better than ‘Judy’ will ever, but we’re going to have to see just how ‘loud’ he is.

During an on-air debate with co-presenter Dan Walker, Naga drew on her own experiences and said Trump’s comment was ’embedded in racism’.
Following an investigation, Naga was found to be in breach of BBC guidelines.
However, after outcry from the public, BBC director-general Tony Hall wrote to all members of staff on Monday to state that there was no finding against Naga and that the ruling had been overturned.
According to Sky News, Hall’s message said: ‘Racism is racism and the BBC is not impartial on the topic. There was never a finding against Naga for what she said about the President’s tweet.
‘Many of you asked that I personally review the decision of the ECU. I have done so. I have looked carefully at all the arguments that have been made and assessed all of the materials. I have also examined the complaint itself.’
Hall continued: ‘It was only ever in a limited way that there was found to be a breach of our guidelines. These are often finely balanced and difficult judgements.
‘But, in this instance, I don’t think Naga’s words were sufficient to merit a partial uphold of the complaint around the comments she made.
‘There was never any sanction against Naga and I hope this step makes that absolutely clear. She is an exceptional journalist and presenter and I am proud that she works for the BBC.’
The BBC previously stated that they did support Naga’s personal reaction to Trump’s use of the phrase ‘go back to your own country’, but said her overall comments ‘went beyond what the guidelines allow for’.
It was earlier reported that BBC had crunched down on their staff members protesting in support of Naga.
