RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s first eliminated queen: ‘If Alan Carr thinks estate agents wear Mugler, he has another thing coming’

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has begun, and it now has its own Pork Chop.

Gothy Kendoll has become the first queen to be eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, after her lack of confidence and experience in lip syncing failed led to her demise.

It can’t be easy to be the first one of not just a season, but a whole franchise, to go out, but the 21-year-old has been pleasantly surprised by the reaction.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk after her elimination, Gothy said: ‘Because it was filmed so long ago, you’re kind of replaying in your head every single thing you did, so you kind of freak yourself out about it and get really nervous. But actually watching the episode, you realise there’s nothing to worry about. I showed myself and my personality to the best of my ability, and the reaction so far has been amazing.’

Gothy showed a lack of self-confidence in the mini challenge, with Ru cracking up during her ‘off with her head’ attempt, but it was her runway effort that landed her in the bottom two.

Gothy failed to impress (Picture: Leigh Keily/BBC)

Her ballerina-meets-Queen-Liz regal look baffled the judges, while her Leicester Tigers-inspired hometown tribute led to Alan Carr delivering the highlight of the episode.

After watching Gothy put her hands out and give a half-hearted ‘rawr’, the judge said: ‘When she came out in that first outfit as the tiger, she looks like an estate agent that’s gone to Regent’s Park Zoo and said “can you face paint my face for 50p” and she’s gone back into work and gone “what you think girls, grrr”.’

And thankfully, Gothy found it as funny as we did.

The queen, real name Sam Handley, said: ‘I’ve got to laugh – if he thinks an estate agent wears Mugler, then he’s got another thing coming.’

While she can laugh at her tiger impressions, Gothy admits that she is a ‘bit gutted’ that she didn’t get to show everything she has in her arsenal. ‘I feel like since the show, I’ve grown a lot and it’s a shame that I didn’t get to show the level that I’m at now. But that all comes with time and experience, which is what the other queens have.’

So would she choose to enter a later season, knowing what she knows now?

‘My confidence is definitely an issue. Since then I’ve grown so much, so I guess for season two, I would be more prepared – but that’s because I’ve been in there, so I don’t know if I would have done better in season two. We can all get better and we can grow, but Ru chose me out of all those other queens to get on, he obviously saw something and I’m glad I did get onto the first season.’

Despite being the first off the show, all of the Drag Race UK queens can expect a boosted profile and boosted bookings coming off the back of the season, and Gothy is brushing off any disappointment to look forward.

‘I’m excited to start making more money!’ she laughed. ‘Before, I was on such a budget and I was doing fab so imagine how much I can push my aesthetic when I’m working so much more and getting more money to put into it? I’m so excited to see where my drag is going to go.

‘Obviously, from the first episode, you all saw I’m not the best performer, but that was my first ever time lip syncing, so I think I did alright to be fair. I know I got sent home, but still.

‘I’m working with a lot of visual artists and stuff like that to make sure the performances I do are a full on production and will excite each sense, rather than me just death dropping to a Cheryl Cole song. No offence to Cheryl.’

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK continues on Thursdays at 8pm on BBC Three.

Drag Queen thanks Naga Munchetty on BBC Breakfast for standing up to racism as she returns to work after slamming Donald Trump

Naga Munchetty was praised by a drag queen this morning after a complaint against the presenter was overturned following her comments over Donald Trump’s racist tweets.

Amrou Al-Kadhi voiced their support for the presenter during an appearance on the programme.

‘Naga I just want to say I’m so, so excited to be here with you,’ the performer said. ‘And all people of colour were standing alongside you the past week.

‘Us sisters have to stick together,’ they continued. ‘And it’s never, never biased to call out racism. So it’s a real honour to be here with you today.’

Remaining notoriously tight-lipped, the anchorwoman didn’t comment on the row, but simply thanked Al-Kadhi ‘for your thoughts’.

Munchetty was originally ruled to have broken BBC guidelines by commenting on the US President’s tweets on July 17, but after widespread criticism from the public and her peers (including even Piers Morgan) the decision was reversed by the channel’s Director-General, Tony Hall.

Naga fired back at Donald’ Trump’s tweet telling his opponents to ‘go back home’ (Picture: BBC)

‘I don’t think Naga’s words were sufficient to merit a partial uphold of the complaint around the comments she made,’ he told staff after backtracking on the ruling.

We haven’t had a direct response from the presenter about the row or its backlash yet, but she certainly looked happy after posting a picture to social media after it was announced she would be returning to work.

If you want to catch up with all the controversy, we’ve compiled a handy guide explaining exactly what went on and why the BBC reversed its initial decision.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.

Inside Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s heartwarming bromance ahead of The Walking Dead season 10 premiere

Norman Reedus, one of the last surviving original members of The Walking Dead and of course a fan favourite, has completely stolen our hearts with his ongoing Jeffrey Dean Morgan bromance.

While they may hate each other on screen as their characters Daryl and Negan, the duo are the ultimate BFF goals in real life – despite the villain only making his first appearance on the show in 2016.

But after four years of practically living under each other’s skin, the pair have managed to form an unbreakable bond, enough to make the closest of buddies jealous.

And it sounds as though it was love at first sight.

Barely being on the zombie hit for more than five seconds, Jeffrey gushed over his pal back in 2016 when talking on Popcorn with Peter Travers.

Our hearts (Picture: Getty Images)

He said: ‘I spend a lot of time with Norman. Not only do we live next to each other in Georgia, but we both have this big affinity toward motorcycles.’

The now 53-year-old added: ‘And we spend a lot of time on the roads. It’s kind of a great way to unwind and we have that in common. So I talk to him daily.’

That’s at least 1460 days, everyone.

And it’s blatantly obvious that their friendship is just as strong (if not stronger) almost half a decade on, after Jeffrey praised his pal when learning he’d picked up two People’s Choice nominations this year.

‘There’s nobody that deserves recognition more… (he’s gonna hate this btw) I love him,’ the star confessed.

They’re the ultimate goals (Picture: Getty Images)

‘I think most of us do. He is one of the more special people I’ve ever had the privilege to know… there is no better friend. No one is more loyal, loving, protective, generous.’

You’d think Norm was his pet pooch or something.

Smothering him some more, the father-of-two added: ‘People like Norman? Rare. In fact… there can only be one.

‘I’m so f**king proud of him. Nobody works harder, nobody shows up with more passion, nobody takes more care with their character… and all this? After 10 years of being Daryl Dixon.

‘Bringing that constant intensity to a role after this long is truly amazing.’

We’re not crying you are (Picture: FilmMagic)

We’re not crying, you’re crying.

In fact, it was Norman who was crying as he humbly replied to the huge outpouring of love from his acting soulmate.

‘Aw man. Thanks brother I might cry this is really nice of you to say. Love u jeff.’ We have those warm fussy feels in our stomach too.

The pair are not afraid to show their affection for one another on Instagram, the red carpet, and even on set.

And if these pictures weren’t enough to convince you that true love does exist then boy, there is something wrong with the world.

Find someone that looks at you the way Norman looks at Jeffrey, and pray the pair don’t end up killing each other off in the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead season 10 kicks off on Sunday 6 October in the US, and returns in the UK on Fox Monday 7 October.

Was BoJack Horseman cancelled by Netflix?

Last week’s announcement about the forthcoming new season of BoJack Horseman was met with joy and despair in equal measure.

The sixth season of the popular animated Netflix show will also be its last, with the final instalment being split into two parts: the first will arrive on 25 October before the second block of episodes drops on 31 January 2020.

But BoJack voice star Aaron Paul threw in something of a plot twist for disheartened fans shortly after that official announcement, tweeting: ‘Sadly Netflix thought it was time to close the curtains and so here we are.’

Paul’s choice of words has subsequently fuelled fan rumours that Netflix actually cancelled BoJack, despite reports that creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg intended to end the show after its sixth season.

Netflix haven’t commented on the speculation, nor have they supplied any official explanation for why BoJack is ending after six years on the streaming platform.

Further rumours about the end of the show have since gathered pace, with some fans linking developments at the show’s animation and production studio, The Tornante Company’s ShadowMachine, to the decision to bring BoJack to an end.

The artistic crew successfully negotiated a deal to unionise with The Animation Guild (TAG) back in June, a goal they had reportedly been seeking ever since production began on the first season of BoJack back in 2014.

The deal ensured that the BoJack crew at ShadowMachine receive a minimum wage, and employer-paid retirement and health benefits.

‘This crew was organised, determined, and showed their resolve and solidarity throughout the process,’ Jason MacLeod, a TAG representative, said in the summer.

‘We congratulate the crew on this result and are glad to see that this successful show will be a union production going forward.’

Regular BoJack director Aaron Long has since moved to clarify that there isn’t a link between the animators’ unionisation and the end of BoJack, emphasising that the decision to bring the show to an end with season six was sealed long before the crew joined TAG.

‘Please just know the BoJack artists didn’t kill the show by demanding the same pay as Big Mouth and Paradise PD,’ Long added.

News about the end of BoJack also follows on from the actual cancellation by Netflix of the ShadowMachine-produced Tuca & Bertie, which was executively produced by Bob-Waksberg.

BoJack Horseman returns for part one of season six on 25 October on Netflix.

Chace Crawford has claimed that he has been ‘sworn to secrecy’ regarding the image of his supposed bulge on the official calendar photo for his hit series The Boys.

The actor stars in Amazon Prime’s superhero series as Kevin, aka The Deep, and one photo of him in particular featured in the show’s official calendar left everyone talking – as many eagle-eyed fans spotted what appeared to be his manhood sticking out.

Now Chace has stated that the image will remain a ‘mystery’, and has promised to keep the details under wraps.

‘There is a story behind that but I’m sworn to secrecy by Eric Kripke [showrunner],’ he told Entertainment Weekly.

‘I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could give you a good answer but we’ll never know.

‘It will forever remain a mystery. We will never know!’

He also stated that showrunner Eric ‘got a big kick out of it’, who thought it was ‘the funniest thing in the world’.

‘I thought it was so funny, but I don’t think anyone got a bigger kick out of it than Eric,’ he continued.

Fans had a lot to say about the particular picture featured in the calendar (Picture: Amazon Prime Video)

‘He thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Oh god. It was probably a little bit over covered but I was like, “Whatever The Deep can do for you guys to get some press, you know I’m ready to support the show!”

‘That was one I had to explain to a few people. I got a lot of weird DMs in my inbox.’

The 34–year-old later admitted that he had no idea what he was getting himself into as he took part in the shoot, and he realised that the calendar was only going to feature shots of his character.

‘I remember late in the season last year, we were doing a big Amazon promotional shoot. We were all there on set doing group shots.

‘They pulled me over to a green screen and told me, “We’re doing calendars.” I’m thinking, okay, everyone’s got a calendar. That’s great! But no. It was just me!’

Chace later recalled ‘grabbing props and doing silly stuff’ as he had his photos taken for the calendar while confessing he enjoyed the shoot, calling it ‘cheesy’ and ‘really funny’.

The Boys has become an instant hit, and it has become one of Amazon Prime’s most popular series following its premiere back in July.

Off of the back of the show’s success, it’s been renewed for a second season.

Season one of The Boys is available to stream on Amazon Prime.

Friends fans have a theory Monica developed her intense cleaning obsession because of ex Richard

Was Richard to blame for Monica's cleaning obsession?
Fans have theory Monica’s cleaning obsession was intensified after dating Richard. (Pictures: NBC)

Remember the episode of Friends where Chandler discovers Monica has a secret closet full of junk? (It’s in episode 14 of season eight and is literally called The One With The Secret Closet if you want to go back and refresh your memory).

Well, one fan has noticed it wasn’t always the mess it became later on in the hit show’s run.

In episode 13 of season one (entitled The One with the Boobies), there’s a very brief scene of Monica in a towel and shower cap, but the secret closet in question is wide open for the world to see.

And it’s not actually the mess it’s made out to be in season eight.

My boyfriend just noticed that "THE CLOSET" is open in "TOW the Boobies" S1 E13 from howyoudoin

So one fan of the show took to Reddit to share their hypothesis: ‘My theory has always been that she didn’t get super compulsive and obsessed with cleaning until after her failed relationships and dealing with the loss of her jobs and whatnot.’

‘I think it got to the tipping point after Richard and she just started piling things in there to deal and pretending that everything is fine [be]cause the rest of the apartment is spotless. Just throwing my ideas out there,’ they added.

Another fan responded: ‘This has ALWAYS bugged me. It looks fairly neat there, does it just accumulate over time and get progressively more in the s**t.’

Monica frantically cleaning

Then one fan added their personal story: ‘That’s actually a pretty good theory, and one that I can personally relate to.’

‘I’ve always been compulsive and obsessed with organization to a degree but I and some of my friends/family noticed that it got a lot worse during my senior year of high school which was right after someone I cared about had betrayed me in a pretty awful way,’ they added.

In episode two of season one, Monica can be seen frantically cleaning her apartment in anticipation of the arrival of her parents, so it looks like she’s always had her cleaning habits.

Looks like we may never know what the truth is, but breakups certainly can be pretty life-changing.

Actress Emma Barton will be all kinds of glitz and glamour as she returns to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor.

This weekend will see the contestants take on iconic songs featured in films for Movie Week.

Emma and partner Anton du Beke will attempt the Salsa to Soul Bossa Nova by Quincy Jones, most recognised from Austin Powers.

What is Emma Barton best known for?

Emma’s best known for playing Honey Mitchell on EastEnders from 2005 – 2008, and again from 2014 onwards.

She’s also done a fair share of stage work, appearing in Jack and the Beanstalk in the Devonshire Park Theatre after leaving the soap in 2009.

Later the same year, she played the lead role of Roxie Hart in Chicago.

In fact she has been previously approached by Strictly producers to join the dance competition however thought she was over-experienced due to working on the musical.

The 42-year-old also played Dolly in the National Theatre’s One Man, Two Guvnors in 2014, as well as Tinkerbell in a Crawley Hawth Theatre production of Peter Pan.

India Willoughby thinks RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestant reclaiming their ‘racist’ name is racist too

India Willoughby claimed that Drag UK contestant Sum Ting Wong’s name was ‘racist’ (Picture: BBC)

India Willoughby has hit out at RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestant Sum Ting Wong over the racist vernacular associated with her stage name.

In last night’s launch, the Brummie queen proclaimed proudly that her name was ‘a reclamation for those little microaggressional racist digs that people give out’.

One person who didn’t agree, however, was the former newsreader, who is transgender. She argued that Wong’s name – and the name of fellow contestant Cheryl Hole – was ‘horrible’.

Cheryl Hole RuPauls Drag Race UK
Cheryl Holes name was also called horrible by the former newsreader Picture: BBC)

‘[On] any other show, people would be screaming about demeaning women and racism,’ she said in a now-deleted tweet. ‘But because it’s drag [thumbs-up emoji].’

India – who previously claimed to have a phobia of drag queens – had a stern reply, however, from one of the drag queens that she had so publicly bashed, who hit back at her remarks, saying that ‘drag is about bending the realms and parodying reality.’

Regardless of the critiques, the story behind the name Sum Ting Wong is a genuinely lovely tale in using your hobbies to deflect and re-shape traumatic experiences from your past.

‘When I started doing drag five years ago, I wanted a name that was cheeky but also reflected my British Vietnamese heritage,’ the performer said. ‘So I browsed the internet and came across a meme about an American news report which turned out to be a prank.

‘It was about a missing Asian plane and all the names of the missing crew were plays on Chinese names, such as Sum Ting Wong and Wi Tu Lo, and another was Ho Lee Fuk. It was wrong in so many ways, and that was why I chose my name, as my own act of reclamation.’

Ru Pauls Drag Race UK
The first episode of RuPauls Drag Race UK was all kinds of iconic (Picture: BBC)

If you missed Drag Race UK’s effervescent launch on the iPlayer last night, what were you doing instead?

Some truly iconic television was made – from Andrew Garfield’s bizarre stint as a judge to Alan Carr bringing down the house with his Regent’s Park Zoo joke, which will now go down in history.

No matter what, though, we can safely say Willoughby wouldn’t be up for a stint on the judging panel for the next series.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK episode 1 is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard slapped Saffron Barker so she would show ‘angry side’

Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard admitted he slapped Saffron Barker during Strictly rehearsals so as she would ‘show her angry side’.

That’s definitely one way to do it.

The pair, who were recently forced to deny romance rumours, were playing a playful quiz game on BBC News Beat’s Instagram Stories, with Saffron saying: ‘Earlier this week I got whacked around the face. True or false?’

She later revealed it was true, explaining: ‘AJ was trying to get the angrier side of me to come out so he demonstrates but actually whacked me round the face.

‘I mean both hands, slap! Like, it hurt.’

With the pair set to dance to Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Lorde, the 19-year-old has been showing off her Katniss Everdeen costume – and it involves a whole bunch of real arrows.

AJ might need to watch his step – there could be some retaliation coming his way.

Saffron and AJ have been hard at work on their Paso Doble, with the YouTube star being all smiles after she was reportedly targeted by hackers.

According to The Sun, there are now increased security concerns over the 19-year-old social media star’s safety on the hit BBC dancing show.

The hackers are said to have taken ‘intimate photos’ from the young star’s iCloud and shared them across the internet.

They show Saffron in various poses in revealing outfits while on holiday, as well as of her in just a towel.

‘This is worrying as Saffron seems to have been targeted because she is on the show,’ a Strictly insider told The Sun.

They continued: ‘Part of the security briefings have been about online security because that is an area that hackers and blackmailers target.

‘There is a fear that Saffron could be threatened with the pictures, or that other more explicit ones could also have been stolen.’

However, never one to let anything get her down, she looks to be thriving on the show as she prepares to strut her stuff into Movie Week

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco’s Harley Quinn series gets official release date

DC Universe’s new animated series, Harley Quinn, has received its official release date and it can’t come soon enough.

According to Entertainment Weekly, it’s coming out 29 November on the DC Universe streaming service in the US.

There’s no word yet on a UK release date with DC Universe not available to the rest of the world, so we’ll have to hope another platform perhaps picks up the rights.

A previous trailer for the irreverent new animated series promised viewers are going to ‘p**s’ themselves when they watch it.

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco voices the titular DC villain in the adult animation series, taking on her first role since wrapping on the geeky sitcom after twelve years.

‘The nice thing is that most of the time she’s going up against villains who are worse than her,’ she told Deadline. ‘So you root for her in that way.’

The star continued: ‘She is a killer but those who are dying in her hands deserve it.’

Harley Quinn is being led by showrunners Paul Dini and Bruce Tomm, with Alan Tudyk voicing The Joker, Diedrich Bader starring as Batman and Lake Bell playing Poison Ivy.

This isn’t the only project Kaley has been working on, as she recently landed the lead role in the upcoming thriller The Flight Attendant.

Confirming the news in a statement, the actress spoke about how excited she was for her latest project.

‘I love that Warner Bros. is my home away from home,’ Kaley beamed. ‘I couldn’t be more excited to continue this incredibly collaborative and gratifying relationship.’

Harley Quinn launches on DC Universe in the US on 29 November.

Gogglebox’s Ellie and Izzi Warner fume over ‘people who complain’ after #MeToo comments backlash

Gogglebox’s Ellie and Izzi Warner have hit out at viewers who complain about TV shows after they faced major backlash for making jokes about the Me Too movement.

Stars of the show watched the recent controversy surrounding BBC presenter Naga Munchetty unfold, after a complaint about her was partially upheld.

Before the BBC overturned their decision, they found that Munchetty had breached editorial guidelines when she spoke out on air against Donald Trump’s controversial July tweet in which he told four female congresswomen to ‘go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came’.

Following the decision, figures including Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, Channel 4 News presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Sir Lenny Henry all criticised the BBC.

Ellie and Izzi were unimpressed with the complaint against the presenter being made in the first place.

‘Who’s got time on their hands to complain?’ Ellie asked, with Izzi responding: ‘Retired people, people who have got time to watch TV at 6 in the morning.’

Gogglebox viewers were left fuming and calling for the pair to be sacked from the show when they made jokes about the Me Too movement, which has seen women speaking about their experiences of sexual assault.

Viewers expressed their disgust when Ellie and her sister Izzi talked about the last time they had played the playground game ‘tag’, with Ellie admitting she had recently played a modified version of the game.

The adult version of the game involved her and her friends chasing each other around and grabbing each other’s ‘boobs or bum’ and calling out ‘me too’ when caught.

Izzi also came under fire in an earlier episode after she suggested Boris Johnson should have ‘shoved his k**b in her gob to shut her up’ after being questioned by a woman.

Despite the widespread outrage, the pair remained on the show.

Gogglebox continues Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.

Strictly’s Dianne Buswell was rushed to hospital after being dropped on her head by partner Dev Griffin in rehearsal, according to reports.

It’s claimed Dev lost grip of the professional dancer during a lift around his shoulders, and accidentally let her go as they practised their routine.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head. It couldn’t have been worse.

‘It was horrible to watch Dianne lying prostrate on the floor.’

BBC staff are believed to have rushed to help and sent her to hospital, with Dev by her side who ‘looked in total shock’.

Dianne is claimed to have been released from North London’s Barnet hospital after doctors diagnosed whiplash, and was left consoling Dev who was ‘distraught’.

The Circle threw a new player into the mix during a special live show, while revealing a new twist which adds a new paired-up dynamic.

Paddy Smyth, 31, was revealed as the latest contestant to join the Channel 4 show, who is a sales account manager from Dublin.

Paddy suffers cerebral palsy in his legs due to his mum having cancer in the womb while she was pregnant.

While his status is ‘seeing someone new’, he’s aiming to flirt up a storm with the boys if he gets the chance – with his sights set on Jack from the outset.

Even though Jack is straight, he seems up for flirting too if it keeps Paddy on his side, s

‘I tell you what, if he’s gay maybe he’ll fancy me,’ Jack said. ‘I’ll take all the fancy points I can get.’

The biggest news however arrived after the ratings, which found Jack and Beth at the bottom and at risk of being blocked from the show.

In a twist, host Emma Willis revealed how viewers now have two options; they can either vote to have Jack and Beth team-up as one catfish, 62-year-old Joyce, or bring in a new couple, Ryan and Lauren, who will act solely under Ryan’s profile.

Dianne Buswell will perform on tonight’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing despite being rushed to hospital.

It was recently reported that the 30-year-old landed on her head after an eight foot drop when she was trying out a lift with her celebrity partner, Dev Griffith.

However, even though it was feared she would suffer from concussion, it turns out the professional dancer is fighting fit, and excited for her upcoming routine.

When taking part in an Instagram Q&A, the star was asked what her favourite dance of the show was so far.

She said: ‘I think tomorrow night’s one. It’s going to be so much fun.’

A source also told The Mirror: ‘There was an incident and Dianne went to get checked over. She’s absolutely fine and performing tomorrow night.’

News broke of her accident late on Friday night, where The Sun claimed Dev was ‘doubled over in panic’ after the dancer came crashing to the floor.

An insider said: ‘Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head. It couldn’t have been worse. It was horrible to watch Dianne lying prostrate on the floor…

‘Dev… was praying that there was no serious damage — the worst case scenario was that she had some internal head injuries.’

They added: ‘She plunged a long way and he couldn’t help but panic about what he’d done. Dev insisted on going to hospital and looked in total shock.’

But it turns out there was no damage, and Dianne was discharged with whiplash.

Dianne and Dev have been one of the frontrunners of the competition, earning a total score of 49 points across the first two live shows.

It isn’t the only accident to have hit the competition this year, with Jamie Laing forced to pull out after injuring his foot.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 7.10pm. Metro.co.uk have reached out to Dianne’s reps for further comment.

Stavros Flatley haven’t split up guys, so can we all just calm down?

The father and son duo responded to rumours in the most hilarious way after fans started to speculate they were no longer performing together.

Taking to Instagram, the comedy act shared a video of themselves where they slammed any sign of a break up.

After locking himself in the toilet, Demetrios could be heard asking his son whether or not they had split.

‘We’re not splitting up man,’ Lagi insisted before his dad shouted back: ‘I’m staying in here until you tell me for sure we haven’t split up.’

Keeping a straight face the Britain’s Got Talent star, whose real name is Michalakis Andreas, replied: ‘Dad, we’re not splitting up.’

‘Are you sure?’ he asked from behind the closed door: ‘Yes dad, I have to see you later when I go home.’

Demetrios added: ‘Yeah I know but, what if we’ve split up and we don’t know?’ to which the 23-year-old laughed: ‘Course we know, we haven’t split up, would you just come out?’

Emerging from the bathroom, the excited father grabbed hold of his bambino’s face as he cheer: ‘Yay!’

He then quickly fled the building and ran off down the street, in nothing but his shorts, shouting: ‘We haven’t split up, we haven’t split up, we haven’t split up.’

Fans were quick to comment and celebrated the pair’s news.

‘I absolutely love you guys and have done since I was young, this has made my day,’ one wrote while another added: ‘OG’s never quit!’

Someone else said: ‘Love love love it!! Knew it wasn’t true.’

The video comes after Lagi indicated he’s cousin would take on his role, by telling The Sun: ‘We’ve done this for 10 years for a joke.

‘We’ve done so many amazing things but what is there left to do? We’ve done the Royal Variety, we’ve played in China, Monaco – everywhere.’

Vikings season six will be the end of the History Channel hit (Picture: Rex)

But while fans get revved up to be reunited with their favourite viking warrior, they’re also preparing themselves to say goodbye to the History Channel hit.

Yes, Vikings season six will be the end of the show after one heck of a successful run.

Talking about his decision to call it quits, director Michael Hirst confessed to Variety: ‘I always knew where I wanted the show to go and more or less where it would end if I was given the opportunity.

‘What I was trying to do was write the saga of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons,’ he continued.

‘After six seasons and 89 episodes, that’s what I felt — finally — I’d done. We stopped shooting the final episode in November last year and I felt that I’d said all I needed to say about Ragnar and his sons.’

Vikings season six is set to drop onto Amazon Prime and the History Channel in autumn this year.

I Love You, Now Die: The importance of unravelling the untold story you thought you knew

I Love You, Now Die
I Love You, Now Die is the story you thought you knew (Picture: Sky/HBO)

True Crime has become more than a morally debatable new phenomenon in entertainment – our perception of the truth is now blurred beyond recognition. For years murders were solved, cases were closed but now, and only now, we’ve realised the story we were told had more than one side.

Sally Challen was one a ‘scorned wife who killed her husband with a hammer’ because he didn’t want to be with her anymore. Now she’s the victim of coercive control.

Sky Crime launched this week and among the first of its major new investigations is HBO’s I Love You, Now Die, following the infamous 2014 suicide of 18-year-old Conrad Roy, who was encouraged to end his life by girlfriend Michelle Carter.

Carter was a public monster. ‘Drink bleach’ and ‘Hang yourself jump off a building stab yourself idk theres (Sic.) lots of ways,’ are just two of many messages from Carter found on Roy’s phone. How could she not be to blame for his death?

I Love You, Now Die confronts the hazy guilt. Where does the fault lie?

In episode one, Roy’s family recall his final days, his relationship with Carter and her involvement after he was found suffocated in the driver’s seat of his car. Initially, it appears there’s little to speculate – Carter lied about her knowledge of Roy’s plans, his whereabouts and set up a fundraiser in her hometown – not his – because on the surface she was enjoying the attention. ‘I’m like famous now haha,’ she wrote to one friend.

During the 2017 trial, the media painted a similar picture.

Episode two, however, reveals Carter and Roy’s relationship was more disturbing than we knew, and the toxic texts were mutual.

Throughout their 18-month relationship, Roy sent images of nooses and guns with captions such as ‘f**k you b***h.’ She urged him to seek help, pleaded with Roy to find another solution until she flipped and suddenly began to encourage him a few months before it was all over.

I Love You, Now Die examines Carter’s relatively unreported use of drugs prescribed by her doctors to combat mental health, and the dangerous game of online dating – painting a picture of a person who doesn’t really exist.

Consultant Forensic Psychologist Kerry Daynes spoke to press including Metro.co.uk at the launch of Sky Cime to explain the vitality of exploring these complex narratives, which have otherwise suffered from one-dimensional reporting.

‘I think that’s’ what our audience wants,’ said Daynes. ‘Gone are the days when true crime was the Pot Noodle of television, something you’d watch at 2am in the morning and it was bad guy doing something terrible to the ideal victim.

Michelle Carter, Conrad Roy
Michelle Carter was sentenced for the death of Conrad Roy (Picture: AP)

‘I think it perpetuates stereotypes which are harmful in the real world. We live in a world where juries are reluctant to convict ordinary-looking men of rape and don’t believe victims when they come forward. Victims of sexual assault don’t want to come forward in fear of not being believed.’

Arguably the true crime phenomenon was born in Serial, which was later followed by the documentary The Case of Adnan Syed. Syed has been incarcerated since February 2000 and is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of Hae Min Lee, his girlfriend.

Since then, the armchair detective in all of us is determined to join the case as if we have even the slightest clue of what we’re on about. But through similar true crime series, thousands of witnesses who have never spoken out before have come forward, while social media has meant new evidence is falling into the right hands like never before.

‘When we tell these stories which force us to think more seriously – real people involved,’ Daynes continued. ‘They’re thinking about the people involved in those offenses and asking what does that say about us in society and it’s what people want – more complex, challenging stories.’

I Love You, Now Die is certainly a complex, challenging story. And one you thought you knew if it wasn’t for the true crime documentary.

I Love You, Now Die premieres this Sunday on Sky Crime and will be available on NOW TV.

It might be the glitziest, most glamorous show on TV, but Strictly Come Dancing has its fair share of injuries too, both on and off the dancefloor.

The latest person to come a cropper is pro dancer Dianne Buswell, who was reportedly rushed to hospital earlier this week after an incident during rehearsals with celeb partner Dev Griffin.

The pair are due to perform the first Couple’s Choice routine of the series on Saturday night’s annual movie week – so what happened, exactly – and will Dianne be able to take to the dancefloor this weekend?

Here’s what you need to know…

What happened to Dianne Buswell?

According to reports the dancer was taken to hospital after Dev accidentally dropped her on her head during rehearsals.

It’s claimed the Radio 1 DJ lost his grip of her during a lift around his shoulders, leaving her to fall to the floor as a result.

‘Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head,’ a source told The Sun.

‘It couldn’t have been worse. It was horrible to watch Dianne lying prostrate on the floor.

‘Dev… was praying that there was no serious damage — the worst case scenario was that she had some internal head injuries.’

The insider added: ‘She plunged a long way and he couldn’t help but panic about what he’d done. Dev insisted on going to hospital and looked in total shock.’

Will Dianne be performing with Dev on Strictly on Saturday?

Dianne has taken to social media to confirm that despite her injury – with reports that she was treated in hospital for whiplash – she will indeed be taking to the floor on Saturday night.

‘Thank you for all the lovely msgs (sic) of concern,’ she tweeted.

‘We had an accident key word being accident, it was not devs fault at all these things happen.

‘But great news is I’m fine and we both can not wait to dance tonight xxxx thanks again for your thoughts and well wishes.’

She also confirmed her appearance on the show after taking part in an Instagram Q&A when she admitted her favourite routine of the series so far is the one she and Dev are performing on Saturday.

What have Dianne and Dev performed on Strictly so far?

The pair made their debut in the first week with a foxtrot which saw them finish joint third on the leaderboard with 30 points.

They made a similarly impressive showing in week two with 27 for their Jive, leaving them fourth on the overall scoreboard for the first fortnight behind Karim Zeroual, Michelle VIsage and Kelvin Fletcher.

Saturday night will see them performing a couple’s choice routine to the Aladdin favourite Friend Like Me.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night on BBC One at 7.10pm.
