The Walking Dead’s latest spin-off series has been given a new first-look trailer ahead of its release – though we’re still not getting a name just yet.

New York Comic-Con on Saturday proved to be all about The Walking Dead with trailers and news about what’s in store for the apocalyptic world dominating proceedings.

However, while most were expecting the name of the new series to be released, they were left half-disappointed by getting a gripping trailer about what’s in store.

A coming-of-age drama with a little less of a dark tone than the series before it, the untitled new season will see a civilisation set up to include schools and families, all of whom fce the imminent threat of a walker infestation.

With lessons in class including self-defence, the leading characters Aliyah Royale (Iris), Alexa Mansour (Hope), Annet Mahendru (Huck), Nicolas Cantu (Elton), Hal Cumpston (Silas) and Nico Tortorella (Felix) decided to head out on their own adventure.

We’ll follow their story as they decide to leave the compound walls they’ve called home and navigate themselves to a new place of safety.

As the first generation of humans to have lived fully through the walker uprising, are they taking the risks they face as seriously as they should?

Fan theorists, do your best – we can’t wait to hear what you come up with for a name, and if you’re right.

The upcoming series, which follows on from the main show as well as Fear The Walking Dead, will be added to the Walkerverse in 2020.

We already know that the show will kick off in dramatic fashion with a plane crash tearing through the main character’s lives.

The series is currently being filmed in Virginia, and will comprise of 10 episodes.

‘Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad,’ the synopsis reads.

The Walking Dead returns 7 October at 9pm on Fox in the UK.

The stars of Strictly Come Dancing 2019 have reportedly been urged to contact ex-partners over fears their explicit pictures and videos will be leaked online.

Contestants have apparently been told by show producers that they need to be aware of the ‘prevalence’ and dangers surrounding the distribution of sexually explicit content through smartphones, according to a source from The Sun.

‘Obviously everyone has a history, and many of the celebs have probably done things in the past that they wouldn’t necessarily do now,’ the source claimed.

‘”Sexting” – the sending of saucy pics – is obviously a big deal right now, and very prevalent.

‘But all it takes is for a private photo or video to be sent on to someone else, and the next thing you know, the photo is circulating and being leaked online.’

The source later stated that the contestants’ duty of care is a priority to show bosses, with producers allegedly briefing them on how to ‘safeguard’ themselves against anything ‘embarrassing’.

‘Friends, partners and ex’s have all been asked for their discretion, and the hope is nothing else mortifying will emerge this series,’ they added.

Metro.co.uk have contacted reps for Strictly Come Dancing for comment.

Kelvin Fletcher
Contestant Kelvin Fletcher has apparently been subject of a leaked nude video (Picture: PA)

It comes after it was previously reported that a video is doing the rounds online of Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher parading around naked in a dressing room.

The 35-year-old had allegedly sent the video, which reportedly sees him perform star jumps in the nude, to friends in a group chat on messaging service WhatsApp, with a source telling The Sun that Kelvin was ‘dared’ by friends to film the video, as he thought it would never be shared outside of their group chat.

‘Kelvin was dared by his pals to film this video for a laugh,’ the insider stated.

‘He’s a real lads’ lad — he loves the banter and is very confident, so he didn’t hesitate to accept the challenge and strip off.

‘He never thought the clip would be shared with anyone outside that WhatsApp feed — but unfortunately he has been proved wrong.

‘I’m not sure Kelvin would want it coming out now he’s on a family show like Strictly.’

Despite this controversy, Kelvin has won the Strictly judges round once again with dance partner Oti Mabuse, after the two scored an impressive 38 points for their Charleston routine to Trip A Little Light Fantastic from Mary Poppins Returns.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7:15pm on BBC One.

Friends Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston reunite and our hearts are melting

We’re halfway to a full reunion guys! (Picture: Instagram)

Courteney Cox is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes for Friends nostalgia and now we’re just hoping and praying she can get that full reunion we’ve been dreaming of.

In the meantime, she’s still hanging out with her old sitcom buds one-by-one, stretching out the show’s 25th anniversary celebrations as long as she can.

After spending the special day itself having a dinner party with Lisa Kudrow (who played Phoebe) as well as Charlie Puth and Judd Apatow, Courteney became host for two more friends – Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) and Matt LeBlanc.

Underneath, she wrote: ‘A rare night and I love it.’

Looks like Courteney is the real-life Monica of the group, keeping in touch with all of her former co-stars and throwing parties (that we’re totally jealous we’re not invited to).

Unfortunately over the past few months there’s never been more than three friends around at the same time – with Matthew Perry currently in recovery for addiction struggles, and David Schwimmer spending time in the UK filming new series, Intelligence.

But whenever Courteney does get to check in with her pals – especially her leading ladies Jennifer and Lisa, it’s always made our hearts glow.

Their lives were changed forever in September 1994, when Friends first came to prominence, and the cast made sure to share their thanks at the ever-lasting legacy the show created.

While Jennifer and Matthew Perry (Chandler) don’t have Instagram, the rest of the group, completed by David Schwimmer (Ross) posted the same photo in a sign of unity after all these years.

Walking down the street in suits and gowns, the gang are seen beaming and holding flowers.

Underneath her version of the photo, Lisa said: ‘We might be in different places but we are connected #StillThereForYou.’

Aaaaand now we’re crying.

Friends is available to watch on Comedy Central and stream on Netflix in the UK.

Star Trek: Picard got a brand new trailer at New York Comic-Con – as well as finally a confirmation date on its release.

Sir Patrick Stewart himself helped launch the latest tease of what’s to come for the iconic character, after agreeing to return to play Jean-Luc Picard once more.

Running for 10 episodes Picard will be the famous character take on a new world following the events of Star Trek: Next Generation.

It will air in the US on CBS All Access, before becoming available internationally every Friday on Amazon Prime Video.

After his years as a star fleet captain, Picard has retired and has set up home in his vineyard, willing the days away in his new content life.

The old captain still has some tricks up his sleeve (Picture: CBS)

But he is soon joined by a mysterious young woman Dahj in the new chapter of his life, who he seeks to help after coming to believe is in imminent danger.

Santiago Cabrera will play Cristobal “Chris” Rios, and will be joined by Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, and Evan Evagora.

Among the things awaiting the series is the return of another fan favourite character, Data (Brent Spiner), and Seven Of Nine, who were spotted in the first trailer released for the upcoming franchise addition.

But the team are keeping the plans for the series close to their chest, with very little to go on besides the two trailers and a smidge of information that’s found its way online.

Fans have started campaigning for a memorial in the series to the late Aron Eisenberg, who played Nog in Next Generation, and who passed away in September.

Star Trek: Picard launches 24th January 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.

What did Phoebe Waller-Bridge say about Love Island on Saturday Night Live as the Fleabag Emmy winner hosts?

Carrying on her ascent to super-stardom, Waller-Bridge hosted SNL for the first time (Picture: Rex Features)

It’s been quite the year for Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Emmys galore, a sell-out run of shows on the West End and now her debut as a hot on the iconic Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Considering she has her finger on the pulse of British life in 2019, it’s no surprise her hosting gig had a little nod to Love Island

What did Phoebe Waller-Bridge say about Love Island?

She didn’t say anything, as it were, but she took part in a merciless parody skit – that honestly could’ve been a word-for-word recreation of a real Love Island episode.

In the sketch, West London’s Waller-Bridge looking donned a black wig, prosthetic nose and orange tan.

‘Just got my lips done – I asked the doctor for an allergic reaction’, she said, imitating her very best Essex accent.

After being ghosted by her Love Island suitor, Waller-Bridge threw it back to one of Love Island’s best-known phrases and cried: ‘The whole thing’s a bit muggy.’

Things turned around on the island though.

After realising she has 1.2 million Instagram followers, the character says: ‘Well I don’t have to be a stupid paediatric nurse anymore do I? Kerching.’

Fleabag, is that you? (Picture: BACKGRID)

What else happened on Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s SNL?

She opened the show with a witty monologue explaining the differences between her and her Fleabag character.

Though both character and real-life Phoebe are ‘sexually depraved, foul-mouthed and dangerous’ (her words!), she added ‘I’m not a sex addict because I wrote Fleabag – but I did write Killing Eve because I’m a psychopath.’

She also, unsurprisingly for anyone who’s seen Fleabag, took a stand for women being as bawdy, brazen and bossy as they please.

Referring back to her recent Emmy triumphs, she said: ‘Back in the day, horny women were to be feared. And now they’re given Emmys.’

How many Emmys did Phoebe Waller-Bridge win?

She took home the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Writing for a Comedy Series, with Fleabag taking home the gold for Outstanding Comedy Series over long-running favourites like Veep.

Phoebe Waller Bridge taking SNL by storm is just another accomplishment in what’s been a very fruitful few years.

From Fleabag’s huge success on home turf and overseas, to Killing Eve’s massive plaudits and being tipped to write the next Bond, the Ealing native is conquering the world.

Strictly’s Michelle Visage posts inspirational message and praises ‘life force’ Giovanni Pernice after smashing Cabaret routine

Michelle Visage has posted a heartfelt message about embracing being ‘a lady of a certain age’ and still killing it on Strictly Come Dancing.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge stormed to the top of the leader board during this week’s Movie Week theme.

Her performance to Liza Minelli track (Life Is A) Cabaret with pro partner Giovanni Pernice earned them the show’s first 9’s of the evening with a total score of 35.

While she eventually missed the top spot to Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse performing Trip A Little Light Fantastic from Mary Poppins Returns, she was still more than chuffed with what was accomplished.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3RJt8zHh3B/

She wrote: ‘Words cannot express how grateful I am for this opportunity. I’m a 51 year old mother of two, who gets to learn how to dance from a world champion on national telly. THIS is a dream.’

‘I am NOT a dancer and you all are so wonderful to be there with me and root for me and cheer me on to believe that I CAN be a dancer,’ she continued. ‘You are my life force. You are my soul.

‘When I think I can’t do it, I think of you all expecting the best from #Team Visagio’

‘I hope to never let you or [Giovanni] down and I promise you with all of my heart I will always work my hardest and never go down without a fight,’ Michelle added.

She concluded: ‘THANK YOU for all of the amazing comments. I TRULY love you all and we are in this together, especially us ladies “of a certain age” who were told we are too old to do things like this!

‘NOT ON MY WATCH, WE AREN’T! GIO AND I LOVE YOU’

Whether Michelle makes it through to next week on Strictly Come Dancing will be revealed on tonight’s show, but David James, Mike Bushell and Anneka Rice are not looking safe with the lowest scores of the evening.

Mike and his pro Katya Jones suffered a particular rough time of it in the live show as Katya went flying across the dancefloor in the final moments of their Magic Mike inspired routine.

She later tripped up again as she made it up the stairs to talk to Claudia – though that one might have been on purpose to add a little comedic flare to the proceedings.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 6.40pm on BBC One.

Helena Bonham Carter admits it’s ‘daunting’ playing Princess Margaret in Netflix series The Crown

Helena Bonham Carter has revealed how ‘daunting’ it is to take on the role of Princess Margaret in Netflix’s The Crown.

The actress is taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II’s younger sister from Vanessa Kirby for the show’s upcoming third season, and has admitted that she is nervous to be following in the Bafta winner’s footsteps.

Speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, she said: ‘It’s daunting, definitely daunting. Vanessa has just won a Bafta and she’s brilliant, and in a way you have the ghost of the real Margaret and the ghost of the actress who played her.

‘You also have the fact everyone has an opinion about the woman and yet ultimately very few people knew what her private life was like and that’s the sort of the joy of the job.’

And while Helena stressed that the historical drama series is not intended to be a documentary, she hopes the public will be able to relate to the message behind the series, as she mentions she ‘does not look like’ Margaret.

‘I don’t look like her. You just hope you get something of an idiom and a blade or a scent of them and it transforms your inner landscape,’ she continued.

‘The Crown has been very, very compassionate to most of the members of the family and has been very positive.

‘A lot of it is true and there is a whole floor of researchers.’

The 53–year-old also believes that Margaret was ‘vulnerable’, and misinterpreted by many.

She added: ‘I think Margaret was very much her [Queen Elizabeth II] father’s daughter. She had the anxiety he had, and I think a lot of people interpreted her as angry, rude and tough.

‘She wasn’t tough at all, and I think she was quite vulnerable and often attack was the best form of defence.’

Alongside Helena, Olivia Colman will be joining the cast to take over the role of Queen Elizabeth II, following on from Claire Foy, while Tobias Menzies will portray Prince Phillip, after Matt Smith played him during the first two seasons.

Season three of The Crown will be released to Netflix on 17 November.

Louis Walsh reveals Simon Cowell ‘made him’ get a facelift ahead of X Factor: Celebrity premiere

Louis has undergone treatments such as an eyelift and teeth whitening (Picture: Rex)

Louis Walsh has revealed that Simon Cowell told him to get a facelift, ahead of the series premiere of the celebrity edition of The X Factor.

The TV talent judge has confessed to undergoing a set of cosmetic procedures from an eyelift to teeth whitening, as he claimed that Simon was the inspiration behind him going under the knife.

Speaking to Mail Online, the 67-year-old said: ‘First Simon made me have my eye bags done. I went to Sharon’s [Osbourne] man for that – and she knows all the best surgeons. Then Simon got on about my hair.

‘So I went to a lovely fellow who took some hair off the back of my head and put it on the top. So it’s actually your own hair just put back in the right place.

‘And then there’s the teeth. I’ve had my teeth whitened, but everybody does that now. And that’s it.’

Louis is making his third return to the judging panel of The X Factor, after previously leaving the show in both 2015 and 2018 respectively.

This time around, he admits he was not surprised that he was given the axe from the show initially, but is more than happy to be able to come back.

‘I’ve had more comebacks than Frank Sinatra,’ he joked.

‘The first time I got a bit of a shock but I sort of knew it was coming. You have to keep changing things up. I’ve been in this business all my life. I get it.

‘Everything has a lifespan. Everything needs tweaking to keep it current. But it’s good to be back. I love being back with Simon. There’s something completely addictive about him.’

The Irishman also says that he wants to be able to prove critics and viewers wrong with the celebrity format of the ITV singing competition, in which he will judge a lineup of celebrity talent alongside Simon and Nicole Scherzinger.

And he promises that there will be some surprises in store.

‘He’s [Simon] turned the whole thing on its head,’ he added.

‘It’s upbeat, it’s entertaining. People will not believe it when they hear someone like Martin Bashir sing.’

Breaking Bad’s Matt Jones became Star Trek’s ‘Jean-Luc Picard’ in attempt to avoid suspicion filming El Camino

Breaking Bad’s Matt Jones has revealed he became Jean-Luc Picard for the sake of filming El Camino – as things were so secret he needed a code name.

The actor, who is coming back to his role as Brandon ‘Badger’ Mayhew in the much-anticipated follow-up to the meth-dealing drama, had to keep it quiet that the show was even returning for a movie, with no confirmation the film was even being made until just a few weeks ago.

Matt will be back in business as the hapless character – but knows nothing about what’s going on (Picture: FilmMagic)

Now he’s revealed the extent of the secrecy – that even he doesn’t know what the hell’s going on in the film.

Speaking on FairGame, he said: ‘I am in the movie. But I have no idea what happens.

‘I honestly don’t know, because I only, again, read the scenes that I’m in.’

On top of that, the cast didn’t have a table read, they didn’t send him the full script and even scenes being added in at the last minute that might not even make the final cut.

‘We stayed in hotels under pseudonyms. Mine was Jean-Luc Picard, I’m not kidding,’ he added.

‘We had to wear robes over our costumes if we were outside, so nobody could shoot from a camera from far away.’

‘I think he was fooling even people involved in the thing and adding in scenes that weren’t there and were there, you know what I mean?,’ Matt continued. ‘I don’t really, honestly, know what’s exactly in the movie.’

So…don’t expect any spoilers to be leaking any time soon then!

At the moment all we know is that the police are after Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) in the new flick, which drops next Friday.

Last seen driving off into the sunset and, presumably, to a new life away from all the drama that came with being Heisenberg’s right-hand man, in the series finale back in 2013, it seems that Albuquerque, New Mexico, isn’t done with him just yet.

It’s also been confirmed that a number of familiar faces from Jesse’s life will be returning – including Badger, and junkyard owner Old Joe (Larry Hankin).

Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) is also back in business, with Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Skyler White (Anna Gunn) and Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) also possibilities.

But the one fans are desperate for is Walter White (Bryan Cranston) despite the fact he was seen bleeding out around his beloved drugs trade in the final seconds of the series finale.

Presumed dead, the cancer suffering teacher-turned-drug mogul is still the man of the hour, and a fleeting moment in the trailer for El Camino hinted he could be back.

Is he? Or are we just getting our hopes up?

Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders season 5
Peaky Blinders is now being binge-watched by delighted US fans (Picture: BBC)

Peaky Blinders fans have been unable to find their excitement after the fifth season of the show was released on to the streaming platform in the US.

The six-part series has dropped on to Netflix just weeks after it came to an end on BBC One, with viewers outside of the UK now able to catch up with the Shelbys as Tommy (Cillian Murphy) takes on politics and runs up against Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin).

Naturally fans outside of the UK are thrilled to see it on Netflix – but when will it be released on the service in the UK?

Here’s what you need to know…

When will Peaky Blinders season 5 be released on Netflix UK?

At the moment there’s no confirmed release date for the fifth series of Peaky Blinders on Netflix UK.

Normally the seasons arrive on Netflix around a year after airing on TV, so fingers crossed we’ll see it on there some time in 2020.

However you can catch up with anything you’ve missed on the Peaky front on the BBC iPlayer, where the entire saga is available for your binge-watching pleasure.

The first four seasons of the show are also available on Netflix UK, meaning you’ve got plenty of opportunities to watch it all again before series five comes along.

When can we expect season six of Peaky Blinders?

Sam Claflin as Oswald Mosley in Peaky Blinders
The series saw Tommy up against Oswald Mosley, played by actor Sam Claflin (Picture: BBC)

We might have to wait a while for the sixth season, given that it was 17 months between the end of series four and the start of series five – meaning it could be 2021 before we get more Peaky.

However director Anthony Byrne – who worked on the recent series – confirmed to GQ that season six is set to go before the cameras early next year.

‘I’m reading the scripts at the moment,’ he explained. ‘I start properly on series six in early November, then we start shooting early next year is the plan.’

Creator Steven Knight confirmed he is working on a sixth and seventh series, saying: ‘We are definitely doing series six and we will probably do seven.

‘After series four it went mad. We’ve talked to Cillian Murphy and he’s all for it, and the rest of the principal cast are in for it.’

Stranger Things gets new comic book spin-off that could hold secrets to Eleven’s past

Can the comic reveal more about Elle’s time in the lab? (Picture: Dark Horse/Netflix)

Stranger Things is getting a new addition to the universe in comic book form.

The much-loved Netflix series will have a new story in book Into The Fire – which will centre on two more of the test subjects that endured Dr Brenner’s horrific tests.

While we know what happened to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), the rest of the children that were being tortured at the hands of the cruel scientist have remained a mystery, until now.

Set in 1984, Into The Fire will see a pair of the subjects go on the hunt for the dangerous Nine following the collapse of the Hawkins Lab.

Nine is pyrokinetic (can set fire to things with their mind) and if they can’t find a way to track her down and control her, it could be absolute chaos.

The new series follows in the footsteps of two other comics inspired by the show by Dark Horse Comics – The Other Side, and Six, which follows test subject Francine (aka Six) as she tries to come into her own after years of manipulation by Brenner as well as her parents.

Stranger Things Into the Fire
What did the other test subjects endure? (Picture: Dark Horse Comics)

Stranger Things: Into The Fire will go on sale in January 2020, so could provide just the filler content we need as we wait for the now-confirmed season 4 of the TV series.

(And maybe drop us a hint or two on important things that might come into play over time.)

In the meantime, we’re being left with nothing but our imaginations trying to figure out just what the hell is going to happen in the new series, when it’s going to be released, and who exactly The American is.

Others reckon confirmation that Hopper, who sacrificed himself in season three’s finale, is actually alive and the proof is hidden within the credits.

Hey, we can all dream, right?

Dog has only ever been named Dog because Daryl is trying his best not to get too attached, but pups aren’t called Man’s Best Friends for no reason, and even Daryl can’t fight it.

So why can’t he get a name?

‘Daryl would like that. “Come here, Merle! Come here!”’

Fans of the show will know that name holds some serious significance to the surivivor and walker fighter – it’s the name of his late brother, played by Michael Rooker.

Merle was tragically killed by the Governor in Woodbury back in season three, after initially being an ally and a soldier for the tyrant.

He later defected and joined Daryl with the rest of the survivors, helping them to overthrow the Governor’s rule.

Instead, the Woodbury soldiers capture him and the Governor kills him.

In one last bitter twist, he’s reanimated into a Walker, and Daryl has no choice but to end his beloved brother for good.

While that story is no doubt a bummer, having Dog renamed Merle would be a great little commemoration for the character.

Dog was created at the request of actor Norman, with the creators eventually obliging to help the character with the loss of best mate Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) from the pack.

Angela Kang explained at the time to Entertainment Weekly: ‘Daryl is somebody who hunts and goes about and does things, and it seemed like a dog is a good companion.

‘It shows that there’s still a desire for him to have a connection somehow. And so the dog is his faithful companion.

‘In my mind, there’s also a story behind where that dog came from. And so that’s how we ended up with a dog.’

The Walking Dead returns on Monday at 9pm on Fox in the UK.

The cast of Angel got the band back together to mark the show’s 20th anniversary.

The main cast appeared at New York Comic Con to reminisce about the supernatural show, a spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Amy Acker (Fred/Illyria), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Alexis Denisof (Wesley), James Marsters (Spike) and J. August Richards (Gunn) posed together for pictures at the event, but were missing one member of the team.

Star David Boreanaz, aka Angel himself, was absent from the reunion, so the rest of the cast ‘improvised’ by using a puppet version of the vampire character as a stand in.

Sharing pictures of the group on Instagram, Charisma said: ‘We improvised. ♥ Miss you David!.’

David jokingly replied: ‘Lame’.

J. August wrote: ‘For those of you wondering where Angel is…’

Amy also shared a group photo with fans in the audience at Comic Con, adding in the caption: ‘Thank you #NYCC for this magical #Angel reunion panel. How lucky are we to have all of these incredible fans here with us 20 years later.’

Charisma spoke about appearing in both Buffy and Angel, telling the crowd: ‘It was an amazing experience, a big responsibility, a smaller cast.

‘It’s always remarkable when I get to engage with the fans, and learn how Cordelia affected you.’

J. August admitted he was ‘intimidated’ by the role of Gunn, but added: ‘I found a way to connect to the character’s yearning for family, because ultimately that’s what he was looking for.’

James also revealed that creator Joss Whedon saw Spike as soulless and intended on killing him off.

But the actor insisted on doing it his way, adding: ‘I needed a job! I pretty much played Spike with a soul from the beginning, and that was wrong. So wrong.’

We’re not complaining, James.

Ant and Dec apologise after setting off viewers’ Amazon Alexa devices during BGT: The Champions final

Ant and Dec have apologised after the two accidentally set viewers’ Amazon Alexa alarms off during the final of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.

During the star-studded final, the two presenters were introducing Germany’s Got Talent contestant Alexa Lauenburger, whose dog act, which involved her commanding a series of dogs to form a conga line, helped her to secure a place in the show’s final – and nab the golden buzzer from Ant and Dec.

And they took the opportunity to make a reference to the virtual Amazon device as they welcomed her on stage to perform her act.

‘Alexa, can you show us how to win Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions?’ the two called out.

However, some fans have now revealed that the duo simply saying the word ‘Alexa’ actually caused their devices to go off.

‘How many people watching #BGT just had @andanddec set off their Alexa’s?’ one fan said on Twitter.

Another added: ‘@antanddec just set my Alexa off,’ adding a crying with laughter emoji to her comment.

‘When @antanddec shout #Alexa every Alexa in your homes are going crazy right now, mine included haha, thanks boys,’ another viewer wrote.

As a result, And and Dec subsequently took to their own Twitter account to issue an apology on behalf of the devices they set off.

‘Oooops! Did we all set your Alexa’s off again? Soz,’ they tweeted.

And of course, fans in the replies saw the funny side to the whole ordeal.

‘I missed the dogs performing coz was laughing so much at my Alexa,’ one fan replied.

‘She said, “Sorry, I can’t answer that question.”’

The show also saw the presenting duo launch a new mental health campaign, titled Britain Get Talking, as they encouraged the audience and everyone at home ‘to get together with people we care about and talk’.

And it was a star-studded final which saw British dancing duo Twist and Pulse crowned winners of the series, beating fellow dancers Stavros Flately and Ukrainian sand artist Ksenyia Simonova to the top.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions is available to stream on ITV Hub.

Will Jack’s stay in The Circle be over on Sunday night? (Picture: Channel 4)

The action is really hotting up in The Circle as players continue to arrive – and leave – the apartment block in the Channel 4 series.

In recent days we’ve seen the departure of Jay, aka Katieas well as newcomers Jack, Beth and Paddy make their debuts on the show.

Now, after a Saturday night break the series returned for its latest instalment – and this time it’s got a killer twist in store.

So what time should you tune in – and what’s the twist all about?

Here’s what you need to know…

What time is The Circle on Channel 4 tonight?

The Circle picks up where it left off on Channel 4 at 10pm on Sunday night.

Jay gets blocked on The Circle
Jay, aka Katie, became the latest player to be blocked at the end of last week (Picture: Channel 4)

The show runs for an hour tonight and is on every night this week at 10pm except on Tuesdays when it’s at the slightly later time of 10.15pm.

Although it’s proving popular the show’s late hour has left some viewers disgruntled at having to stay up until 11pm or later to catch the action from the block.

Don’t worry though, you can always catch up on 4od if you really can’t stay up that late.

What’s the latest twist in The Circle?

Ryan and Lauren on The Circle
Ryan and Lauren could be sent in to shake things up (Picture: Channel 4)

The newest twist was revealed by Emma Willis on Friday evening’s live show.

After Jack and Beth found themselves at the bottom of the ratings – potentially facing being blocked from the show – viewers were given the choice to either vote for Jack and Beth to team up and catfish the others as 62-year-old Joyce – or for the pair to be blocked and for a new couple, Ryan and Lauren, to be brought in.

As an added twist those two would play solely under Ryan’s profile – thus catfishing the rest of the contestants – while Jack and Beth would be blocked.

In the event that a couple wins the show, the £100,000 prize would be split between them.

True crime aficionados – your time is now thanks to Sky’s new channel, Sky Crime.

A whole channel dedicated to that old notion that true life really is stranger than fiction, looking at crimes that have bewitched, bothered and bewildered people the world over.

One of its first juicy shows to delve into – sure to be a talking point on social media and beyond – is I Love You, Now Die.

Here’s when you can watch the two-part documentary and what to expect.

What is I Love You, Now Die about?

The two-part documentary series follows the case of the death of Conrad Roy and the involvement of his girlfriend Michelle Carter.

People thought they knew the story of the girlfriend who ultimately encouraged her own boyfriend to kill himself and then demanded to be released from jail.

But, as HBO’s gripping two-part documentary will show, nothing is ever black and white in true crime.

When is I Love You, Now Die out in the UK?

The first episode of the documentary aired in the UK at 2am on Sunday on Sky Crime and is repeated tonight at 9pm.

How to watch I Love You, Now Die in the UK?

The documentary is part of Sky Crime’s exciting new line-up.

If you’re an existing Sky customer, you’ll instantly have access to the show when it airs.

Watch it live from your Sky box or through one of your registered Sky Go devices.

It will also be available to watch on NOW TV.

The documentary originally aired on HBO in the States over summer.

Speaking before the premiere, a spokesperson for HBO said the documentary ‘raises difficult questions about technology, mental health, and whether or not one teenager can be held responsible for the suicide of another. While many believe that Michelle Carter’s texts urging boyfriend Conrad Roy to end this own life are immoral, the film asks: Is it criminal?’

They went on to add that the filmmakers had ‘unprecedented access to the families, friends, and communities that were forever changed by the Commonwealth vs. Michelle Carter’ and that the story behind the sensationalised headlines to do with the case will have ‘wider implications for society at large, online and in real life.’

Sky Crime launched on Sky on 1 October and is also available on NOW TV.

Strictly Come Dancing Movie Week: Anneka Rice and Kevin Clifton are second eliminated after Kill Bill routine

Anneka Rice has become the second celebrity to be eliminated from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing after Movie Week.

The Treasure Hunt star and partner Kevin Clifton failed to set the dancefloor alight with their Kill Bill inspired Charleston for their routine to Woo Hoo by The 5,6,7,8s.

After falling to the bottom of the leaderboard with only 11 points, they had to face-off with David James and Nadiya Bychkova, who performed a Batman Forever routine to Kiss From A Rose by Seal.

Performing on last time, the pair made a bid to impress the judges once more – and the judges unanimously voted to save David and Nadiya for a second week in a row.

Craig said his decision was down to David and Nadiya’s ‘commitment and improvement’, while Motsi said they were ‘more emotional and a stronger couple’.

After being eliminated, Anneka admitted it was the right decision and said: ‘To be honest, I’d have saved David and Nadiya.’

‘I’ve just loved this whole thing; I’ve not one negative about the whole experience. We’ve worked really hard, I’m covered in bruises,’ she continued.

David fell into the bottom two for the second week (Picture: BBC)

Hugging Kevin, who won last year with Stacey Dooley, she said: ‘I love this man; it’s been a joy to have that honour, that privilege of learning to dance. It’s a whole new world to me Tess.’

She added that she hoped that her new ‘11 and a half’ dance moves will come in useful at her son’s wedding next year.

‘You’ve put in so much commitment and so much effort,’ Kevin added.

‘You delivered that waltz last week… then to come out and deliver that charleston – the improvement you’ve made, I’m so proud of you, it’s been an absolute joy.’

They bowed out by skipping out on the goodbye slowdance, and instead ran around the dancefloor together for one last joke as My Heart Will Go On was performed.

Now, 13 couples remain in the competition – and David is proving himself to be a dance-off assassin by eliminating James Cracknell last week as well.

Will he manage to evade the dance-off next week?

Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.

Woody turns detective with Ella on The Circle to try to sniff out any catfishing contestants

Woody enlists the help of Ella on The Circle

Detective Woody is on the case for potential catfishes on tonight’s episode of The Circle and he’s enlisting the help of his bestie, Ella.

Woody, 18, the son of Fatboy Slim and Zoe Ball, really hit it off with Ella when she first entered Channel 4’s hit-show last week and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

So it makes sense he’d ask his most trusted friend for help in sniffing out the people who are pretending to be someone else.

In a sneak preview, Woody says he’s been blindsided by the shock blockings of Jay (who was actually his mum, Katie) and Judy (who was played by none other than presenter Richard Madely).

So he’s set up a little mind map to note down anything that seems off with his fellow contestants.

He messaged: ‘In a post-Jay world, where you can’t trust anyone, me and Detective Denny (his stuffed toy) have decided to make a catfish board linked together with string – like you see in the films #DetectiveDenny’.

Woody then added: ‘I was just wondering if you had any tidbits on anyone?’

Ella screamed as she read the message aloud then offered her advice: ‘The only tips I could give you is to write down anything anyone says to see if they trip up on their own lie later. Also, if someone comes across as slightly one-dimensional like Jay, it’s more of a sign they’re a catfish. Although Jay’s mum floored me.’

The pair agree to ‘put their heads together’ to try to suss out their fellow contestants.

‘I trust Ella’s judgment,’ Woody says to himself out loud.

‘I’m f*****g down,’ Ella says to herself.

Sunday night’s episode promises to be a big one, with the latest ratings coming out for each contestant.

The Circle also shared a preview clip of Jack and Beth meeting for the first time, as Jack realises Beth has been using someone else’s photos.

On Friday, Emma Willis announced a shock twist with the lowest ranking people (Jack and Beth) being automatically blocked from The Circle.

The public then had to vote on whether the two eliminated contestants would meet up and then secretly play as 62-year-old woman named Joyce or bring in a new couple, Ryan and Lauren, who will act solely under Ryan’s profile.

Whatever happens, it sounds like Detectives Woody and Ella will be on the case.

The Circle continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 4.

Where was World On Fire filmed? All the locations from BBC One’s newest drama

Sean Bean in World On Fire
World On Fire is set across the continent – but not filmed where you might think (Picture: BBC)

BBC One has yet another Sunday night hit on its hands with their new drama World On Fire.

The World War II drama took over the Sunday night drama slot last weekend where Peaky Blinders left off – and is already proving popular, marking Game Of Thrones star Sean Bean’s return to the small screen.

And while the show’s certainly got us gripped with its story of ordinary people across Europe caught in the crossfire of the Second World War, it boasts some pretty impressive backdrops too.

Just where was the series filmed? Here’s what you need to know…

Where was World On Fire filmed?

World On Fire features a whole plethora of storylines across a string of countries, including Poland, France, Great Britain and Germany.

An image from World On Fire
The action was shot in Manchester and Prague which doubled for Paris, Berlin and Warsaw (Picture: BBC)

But that doesn’t mean it was filmed in all those places – with most of the action being shot in Manchester, and in the Czech Republic’s capital city Prague.

In fact the city stood in for most of the continental action, doubling for Warsaw, Berlin and Paris – although parts of the Polish capital were also recreated in Manchester, with scenes being shot around the Castlefield area.

A still from World On Fire
A lot of the action was also filmed in Manchester, which also doubled for the Polish capital (Picture: BBC)

Speaking of their Prague shoot, executive producer Helen Ziegler told the Radio Times: ‘We found this amazing location just outside the site, this devastated factory.

‘It looked like it had been bombed [it had actually been half-demolished] and it had this eerie beauty to it.’

A still from World On Fire
The drama follows the effect of the Second World War on the lives of ordinary people (Picture: BBC)

Meanwhile director Adam Smith added: Prague was amazing to work in, with some fantastic locations. We built a big set of Warsaw. We tried to get as much real location as we could, then add CGI [computer-generated imagery] on top.’

‘We also pretended parts of Manchester were Warsaw. ‘And parts of Wigan were Paris. It was a really confusing shoot!’

An image from World On Fire
Watch out for the beach in episode five (Picture: BBC)

Things might just get even more confusing later on in the series as Dunkirk enters the fray – with those scenes actually being shot in Blackpool, specifically, on St Anne’s Beach.

You’ll get to see those scenes in episode five.

Who is in the cast of World On Fire?

Sean Bean appears in the series as pacifist Douglas Bennett, who faces a challenging time after both his son and daughter are sent to fight in the war.

Oscar-winning actress Helen Hunt is also in the cast as journalist Nancy Campbell, while other cast members include Blake Harrison, Lesley Manville, Jonah Hauer-King, Julia Brown, Yrsa Daley-Ward and Kasia Tomaszeski

World On Fire continues on BBC One on Sunday night at 9pm.

Riverdale’s Luke Perry tribute is going to be a tough watch, according to showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Picture: AP)

Riverdale boss Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has said the Luke Perry tribute episode will be ‘brutal’.

Perry, who played Fred Andrews on the show, died in March after suffering a stroke aged 52.

Season four of the teen drama will open with the episode In Memoriam, dedicated to Perry and his character.

Speaking to TV Line, Aguirre-Sacasa said shooting the episode was tough on the actor’s co-stars, as they were still grieving their friend.

‘We kind of knew this was going to be brutal on the cast, especially KJ [Apa], who was Luke’s main scene partner,’ he said.

He added that ‘everyone was really proud to gather to tell this tribute to Fred, and to Luke.’

The showrunner also spoke about the season four table read, which reunited the cast for the first time after hearing the news that Perry had died.

Television Programme: Riverdale Starring: Luke Perry and K.J. Apa

He explained: ‘There was something really special when we gathered to do the table read that was cathartic. You know, shows are families. But we knew it was going to be hard, and it was.’

Describing the episode on Twitter earlier this year, he called it ‘probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever.’

He tweeted: ‘A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honour Luke & Fred.’

How Fred’s absence will be addressed on screen is yet to be revealed, but the episode will include an appearance from his 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty.

Aguirre-Sacasa said: ‘[It was] something that Luke wanted to happen since season one.

‘They were such good friends, and when we were putting together this tribute episode, we wanted to make it as special as possible, and so we asked Shannen to do a pivotal, super emotional role.

‘She read the script and immediately said “yes”. It’s very impactful.’

Riverdale returns to Netflix on 10 October.
