Megan McKenna was seen welcoming Louis Walsh into her Essex home just days ahead of the launch of The X Factor: Celebrity.

The 27-year-old reality star, who’s set to be competing against the likes of Glee’s Kevin McHale and EastEnders’ Jonny Labey in the series, greeted the infamous telly judge with a big old hug as he arrived on her doorstep.

Looking utterly delighted to see Louis stood outside her front door, Megan smiled from ear to ear and the crew caught the heartwarming moment on tape.

Louis was then photographed getting into Megan’s car before going for a ride around her hometown and the pair looked like they were getting on like a house on fire.

Does this mean that the country singer has made it through to the next round of the hotly-anticipated spin-off? We’re hoping so.

The X Factor: Celebrity is right around the corner and there’s a whole bunch of famous faces on the star-studded line-up – including Love Island’s Wes Nelson, who’s seriously unimpressed by his group’s name.

Meanwhile, Louis will be joined by Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger on the judging panel, with American Idol’s Howie Mandel and Randy Jackson also paying a visit.

Last week, Louis revealed that Simon told him to get a facelift ahead of the series premiere, admitting: ‘First Simon made me have my eye bags done.

‘I went to Sharon’s [Osbourne] man for that – and she knows all the best surgeons. Then Simon got on about my hair.

‘So I went to a lovely fellow who took some hair off the back of my head and put it on the top. So it’s actually your own hair just put back in the right place.’

He added to Mail Online: ‘And then there’s the teeth. I’ve had my teeth whitened, but everybody does that now. And that’s it.’

The X Factor: Celebrity kicks off Saturday at 8.35pm on ITV.

The Circle: Paddy leaves everyone in tears as he reveals his disability

Emotional scenes are ahead on The Circle as Paddy reveals his disability to the other players.

Paddy holds a Circle ‘coming out party’ in scenes to air tonight as he shares his experiences in the group chat.

The players are given a reward after playing a game in the episode, which is that they can upload a new profile picture and get a bottle of bubbly.

Brooke chooses to add a family picture, Tim shows one with his partner and Georgina is on a night out with her brothers

Posting a picture of his crutches for the other contestants to see, Paddy, who has cerebral palsy, declares himself ‘disabled, queer and proud’.

He adds: ‘I feel like a f**king weight has been lifted.’

The players realise he is disabled and Georgina says how ‘proud’ she is of him.

Speaking in the group chat, Paddy explains that people tend to see his disability first, and he wanted to see what happened when people saw Paddy the person first.

Paddy says that he is ‘not ashamed’ of his disability, and so struggled to hide that part of him from the rest of the group.

His moving words bring players James and Ella to tears.

As the others send him encouraging messages, Woody jokes: ‘Unfortunately, we still like you.’

James, who is posing as a single mum called Sammie, feels a pang of guilt about catfishing the others as fellow players open up about their more difficult realities.

There’s also another catfish in the group, 62-year-old ‘Joyce’ aka eliminated players Beth and Jack.

Completely unknown to the rest of the contestants, the pair are pretending to be ‘Joyce’ on a joint profile.

Monday night’s episode saw them have a couple of near misses as Woody, Ella and Tim tried to suss them out. Can they keep it up?

The Circle airs weeknights from 10pm on Channel 4.

BAFTA TV Awards introduce new rule ensuring diversity requirements are met

BAFTA has introduced diversity guidelines (Picture: Wenn)

BAFTA has made changes to their yearly TV Awards to make sure that the shows nominated are as diverse as possible.

The organisation confirmed that programmes will now have to hit targets, in line with the BFI Diversity Standards, in order to qualify for entry and aims to have this new rule fully rolled out for 2021.

Amanda Berry OBE, CEO at BAFTA, said: ‘Working in close consultation with the BFI and the wider television industry, we are delighted to be piloting the introduction of the BFI Diversity Standards, with the plan to fully introduce diversity standards for 2021.

‘Our aim is to bring the industry together to improve diversity and inclusion through sharing best practice, encouraging collaboration, driving change and, ultimately, to become more inclusive.’

On top of that, BAFTA revealed it has updated its eligibility rules for the 2020 ceremony following this year’s Killing Eve controversy.

The hit series received three accolades at the awards earlier this year including Best Drama, despite guidelines stipulating that a programme must have premiered in the UK.

From now on, UK programmes will no longer have to premiere in the UK to be eligible for UK production categories.

Programmes that first transmitted abroad will be able to qualify but must be broadcast to UK audiences within the calendar year and programmes will be eligible for UK categories if they are initiated and developed in the UK and have creative control residing within the UK and/or a UK broadcaster has primary control.

This year’s BAFTA TV Awards kicked took place in May and saw Killing Eve take home three gongs.

Fiona Shaw was awarded Best Supporting Actress for her role as Carolyn, while Jodie Comer was crowned Best Leading Actress for her portrayal of Villanelle and the programme itself won Best Drama Series.

Elsewhere, other winners included Benedict Cumberbatch for Best Leading Actor, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for Best Reality & Constructed Reality and EastEnders for Best Soap & Continued Drama.

Rylan Clark-Neal patches things up with Gary Barlow seven years on from X Factor ‘feud’

Rylan Clark-Neal and Gary Barlow have buried the hatchet years after their falling out on The X Factor.

When Rylan was a contestant in 2012 Gary didn’t hide the fact he wasn’t a fan.

But that’s all water under the bridge now as Rylan and Gary met up at a showbiz event recently and posed for a picture.

The two men, both bespectacled, had big smiles and their arms around each other for the friendly snap, which Rylan captioned: ‘After 7 years….. we’re good.’

Gary retweeted Rylan’s pic and added a thumbs up emoji and a heart.

We need to know more – who made the first move? Who apologised to who? And more importantly, when is their duet coming out?

The Take That star, who was a judge at the time, famously stormed off the show when Rylan made it through the first week of eliminations over contestant Carolynne Poole.

At the time he called Rylan a ‘joke act’ and gave incredibly harsh feedback, including: ‘I’m glad you learned the trick that when you pull the mic away – we don’t hear what you’re singing.’

Rylan also blasted Gary on Twitter back then, saying: ‘I’d rather be ‘absolute s***’ than just stand there and sing the same old stuff every week on the spot… #boreme @GBarlowOfficial.’

The reality TV star also hit back at the singer by getting a fake tattoo of Gary’s face on his back for a photo shoot the same year, calling the former judge ‘Gary Bore-low’.

On Xtra Factor that week, Gary took a swipe and fellow judge Louis Walsh for sending the elimination to deadlock.

He sniped: ‘We always try and judge it on the last performance, that’s the idea, how can you compare those performances?

‘He (Rylan) clearly entertains some people. Let me tell you one thing, those kind of acts… they’re not for me. When I came to do this job I wanted to be the one to find great talent and bring on the young singers.’

The Capture finale sets up Rachel Carey’s shocking next move: Writer talks series 2

Will there be a series 2 of The Capture (Picture: BBC)

*Warning: This article contains spoilers from the finale of The Capture.

That’s it. After six weeks of agonising over what on earth happened to Hannah Roberts (played by Laura Haddock) and the impossible case of Shaun Emery (Callum Turner), The Capture closed tonight with a tragic ending for the framed soldier.

After discovering he was merely a pawn to expose corrupt CCTV evidence, Shaun eventually handed himself into police a hero with PTSD, taking the wrap for the barrister’s murder to protect what is a head ache of a moral dilemma: is it wrong to fake someone’s crime if you know they’re guilty?

Callum Turner as Shaun Emery in The Capture
Shaun Emery’s tragic fate was inevitable in The Capture (Picture: BBC)

Shaun’s story appears to be wrapped up. He’s behind bars but he knows his daughter and ex-girlfriend are behind him, which we learned over the course of the six episode run is that really mattered to him.

However, detective Rachel Carey (Holliday Granger) blindsided all of by bursting into a private meeting with Danny Hart (Ben Miles) and DSU Gemma Garland (Lia Williams) to take a sudden U-turn and join the crusade to take down potential terror threats via any means possible – including a lie. Although, it almost panned out very differently for Rachel as Holliday Granger filmed alternative endings.

But surely there’s an ulterior motive? And if so, does that mean there’s a series two?

Will there be a series 2 of the Capture?

Metro.co.uk caught up with writer Ben Chanan who hinted there’s definitely more of Rachel’s story to explore, and after the success of series one, we’d say there’s a good chance we’ll be catching up with the detective again.

‘I am thinking about [series two],’ Ben told us. ‘We are talking about it but I cannot confirm or deny I’m afraid.’

That sounds like a done deal to us, and Ben agreed Rachel’s move raises questions which need to be answered.

‘I think Carey joining them at the end is a moral tragedy,’ he continued. ‘She’s deciding it’s best for her in every sense, to go along with it. It could be life threatening to her but it could also enhance her need to know the truth about things and this is where the truth is revealed.

‘There is ambiguity about what she’s going in there for and I’m going to leave that there…’

*Warning: This article contains spoilers from the finale of The Capture.

The Capture closed with a huge shocker tonight as Shaun Emery (played by Callum Turner), after an entire series on the run, handed himself over for years behind bars and a murder he didn’t commit on his shoulders.

And then Rachel Carey (Holliday Granger) decided to throw us the mother of curve balls by taking a drastic U-turn after trying to expose corrupt CCTV footage to end up joining the team behind it. Although, her motives seem questionable and will no doubt lead to a series 2…

Ben Chanan, the genius behind The Capture, explained to Metro.co.uk why Shaun’s fate was sealed from the get-go, but Rachel’s was a little more complicated.

‘I knew that’s how I was going to end it for Shaun, he told us. ‘It had to be a sad ending. But there is a ray of hope – his ex is now talking to him, showing him pictures of her with the kid.

‘Shaun doesn’t care about other people; he cares about what his daughter thinks and his closest friends and relatives. He doesn’t want his daughter thinking he’s a murderer and he kidnapped her; Karen is going to make sure of that. So he gets that.

‘I knew the system had to win. Shaun and Carey can’t bring the system down – the system always wins.’

But Rachel’s outcome wasn’t a done deal even while filming the final scene, which saw the detective bursting into a private meeting with Danny Hart (Ben Miles) and DSU Gemma Garland (Lia Williams) to take a sudden U-turn and join the crusade to take down potential terror threats via any means possible – even if it means lying.

Ben revealed Holliday Granger actually filmed multiple endings.

‘I knew she wasn’t going to expose them, but I didn’t know when I was writing it that she would join them,’ he continued. ‘We did a lot of takes – that last shot of her walking in we did a lot of takes. We actually did a lot of versions of that to play around with the intention and that was a lot of fun.

He added: ‘What I liked about the plot was its ambiguity.’

The showrunner also hinted that a series 2 is being spoken about, though he couldn’t ‘confirm or deny’. However, he did admit tonight’s cliff-hanger leaves questions that surely need to be answered…

The Great British Bake Off’s Henry tells Paul Hollywood to ‘shut up’ in iconic moment

The Great British Bake Off
Henry got a shock from Paul Hollywood on The Great British Bake Off (Picture: Channel 4)

The Great British Bake Off aired a pretty iconic moment as judge Paul Hollywood was told to ‘shut up’ by contestant Henry Bird.

Don’t worry – there wasn’t any flour flying between them, it was just Henry’s very shocked response to some glowing feedback.

Tuesday’s episode had a festival theme, with the bakers having to create festival buns for the signature challenge.

When the time came for Paul and Prue Leith to do some tasting, they were seriously impressed by Henry’s effort.

Paul was full of praise as he said: ‘I think your flavours are good. The proving’s good, the colour’s good, the technique’s good.’

Not wanting to be overly nice, he added: ‘Yeah my only gripe is the size difference. But nevertheless…’

He then extended his hand to Henry to give him one of his coveted Hollywood handshakes.

Henry was stunned and blurted out: ‘No…shut up.’

‘I don’t think you say “shut up” to the judges’ Prue joked.

Presenter Noel Fielding said: ‘No one’s ever told a handshake to shut up’.

Despite his blunder in front of the judges, Henry was pleased with how his signature bake went, explaining: ‘I could go now. I could leave this week and be happy with that.’

Paul didn’t let the ‘shut up’ thing go and brought it up during a discussion with Prue, Noel and Sandi Toksvig before the next round.

The chef even got a chance to fire the words back at Henry towards the end of the episode when the baker brought his festival box up for judging.

Festival week saw the tent say an emotional goodbye to Michael, who was sent packing by the judges.

The Greatest Bake Off: Sandi Toksvig makes dig about Henry’s ‘girlfriend’ amid Alice romance rumours

The Great British Bake Off host Sandi Toksvig made a jokey dig at baker Henry Bird’s dating situation amid rumours he and fellow contestant Alice Fevronia had sparked a romance on the show.

During a particularly tough, festival-themed week, Henry asked for Sandi’s help during the technical challenge as he tried to roll pastry for his deep fried Italian creation.

As Sandi stepped up to the pasta machine, he said: ‘Can you crank clockwise? Clockwise – yeah that way.’

The presenter replied: ‘I know clockwise, darling.’

As the pastry slowly made its way through the roller, Henry – who told Paul Hollywood to ‘shut up’ in the episode after getting a Hollywood Handshake – prompted her to go ‘a bit faster’.

‘You’re quite bossy. Wouldn’t be your girlfriend,’ Sandi joked as the pair fell about laughing.

Although the episode was filmed months ago, it comes amid speculation that Henry and Alice were in a relationship.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B241342pMh6/?utm_source=ig_embed

The rumours were first sparked when they were spotted leaving sweet comments on each other’s Instagram photos.

Alice then shared snaps of them spending time together away from the Channel 4 cameras.

However it seems the claims, which originated in The Sun, aren’t true.

After reports about their rumoured romance were published, Alice took to Instagram to share a picture of her hanging out with Henry, Michael and David.

She captioned the image: ‘But how many couples can you see…?’ along with a picture of a face palm emoji.

In addition to Alice’s cryptic response, Digital Spy reports that they have learned the rumours that Henry and Alice are dating are categorically untrue.

Sorry to sink your festival buns, Bake Off fans, but it looks like #Halice won’t be a thing any time soon.

Walter White’s fate has been revealed (Picture: AMC)

Breaking Bad fans have been kept in the dark for six long years over Walter White’s fate – until now.

In the final episode of the Netflix series the infamous character, played by Bryan Cranston, was gunned down and he was last seen lying on the ground smiling as an officer checked for his pulse.

Whether or not Walter had survived the brutal attack had remained a complete mystery, however, with the spin-off El Camino film around the corner, the show’s creator has finally delivered the verdict.

Speaking on The Rich Eishen Show, Vince Gilligan revealed the news we’ve all been waiting for.

‘Yeah, I’m going to give you that one, Rich, because I love you so much,’ Vince said. ‘Yes, Walter White is dead. Yes.’

In our hearts, we knew this would be the case, but we still held out hope.

That doesn’t completely rule out a cameo appearance from Walter in the forthcoming movie El Camino though, as it’s already been confirmed that deceased character Mike Ehrmantraut will be returning.

On top of that, it’s been announced that 10 fan-favourites will feature. So you know, there’s a very strong possibility.

El Camino picks up after the season five finale, where Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) escaped his white supremacist captors in a Chevrolet El Camino and drove to freedom.

‘In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future,’ teases the official synopsis.

Jesse will be joined by the likes of Skinny Pete (Charles Baker), and Brandon ‘Badger’ Mayhew (Matt Jones), with possible appearances from Skyler White (Anna Gunn), Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt), and Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie releases 11 October on Netflix.

Dancing On Ice beats Strictly Come Dancing to first same-sex couple contestants

Dancing On Ice is thought to have made television history by welcoming its first same-sex couple on the upcoming 2020 series – beating Strictly Come Dancing to the milestone move.

One week after the official line-up was announced, it’s been alleged that professional skater Matt Evers has paired up with Steps singer Ian Watkins aka H ahead of the ITV competition returning in January.

‘After conversations with the Dancing on Ice production team, H enquired as to the possibility of being paired with a male pro skater,’ a source told Metro.co.uk.

They continued: ‘Dancing on Ice were fully supportive of a same-sex partnership and as such this year H will be paired with Matt Evers.’

A spokesperson told us: ‘We won’t be commenting on speculation around the Dancing on Ice pairings until closer to the new series in 2020.’

Last year, former Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner backed the call for same-sex couples to join the rink.

Strictly has yet to see same-sex couples compete (Picture: PA)

‘I’m sure ITV would have no problem with embracing it,’ he said. ‘It would be great to have a same-sex couple.’

However the panelist, who has now been replaced by John Barrowman, was quick to add that those in a same-sex partnership may have their work cut out for them.

Jason explained: ‘When you’ve got two men, generally you’ve got similar heights and weights.

‘That’s when it starts getting difficult. It’s very difficult to put somebody your own size above your head.’

Dancing On Ice rival show Strictly has yet to make the move to same-sex couples dancing together on the show.

However, back in August, a BBC spokesperson told Metro.co.uk that they are open to the idea.

Strictly Come Dancing is an inclusive show and we are proud to have featured same sex dancing amongst the professional dancers in group numbers in previous series.

‘We are completely open to the prospect of including same sex pairings between our celebrities and professional dancers in the future, should the opportunity arise.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One and Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January 2020.

Gemma Collins has revealed that she believes she has psychic abilities and has compared herself to Stranger Things character Eleven.

The reality star admitted that she could ‘see and feel things that others didn’t’ when she was younger and added that now she notices that her ‘breasts get heavy on the full moon’.

She’s even spent thousands of pounds on psychic readings over her lifetime.

Who knew she was so into the supernatural?

Speaking in an upcoming episode of her BBC podcast The Gemma Collins Podcast, Gemma let loose about her psychokinetic abilities, saying: ‘When I was younger like I didn’t really understand that I could feel things that maybe other people didn’t or see things that other people didn’t.

‘It’s only when I watched Stranger Things… now I feel like Millie Bobby Brown and I get it.’

Addressing the breasts comment, Gemma explained her additional belief that astrology can have an impact on her physical body.

‘I don’t know about you but my breasts get so heavy on a full moon. Literally I can barely move,’ she said.

‘They fill with water. When I looked into this, the moon’s made up of water and that can affect water within.’

And while she was on the subject, the former Towie queen admitted she also believes in aliens.

This is getting deep!

Gemma proceeded to try and address aliens and told them: ‘Aliens if you can hear me please, I’ve got lots of land here where we live.

‘There’s lots of green fields. Land your UFOs where I live, I wanna talk to you, I wanna hug you, I wanna meet you. I’m not scared of aliens.’

So she’s searching a bit further afield for friends than one usually might.

Gemma also confessed that she’s used the supernatural several times in her life.

Once she spent over £1000 seeing a psychic after she broke up with an old boyfriend, hoping they would reignite their romance.

Then following her terrifying fall on Dancing on Ice in February, the star brought in a shaman to hopefully cleanse the ice rink of any more negative vibes.

At least she’s trying to right her wrongs.

The X Factor has undergone a huge makeover for the celebrity version of the show.

Judge Louis Walsh has revealed that two of the show’s most-loved segments have been axed from The X Factor Celebrity.

In the new series viewers won’t get to see with the boot camp stage or the incredibly tense six chair challenge.

The six chair challenge saw the judges whittle down which acts they were going to take through to judges’ houses by offering them a ‘chair’ in their line up of finalists.

It’s likely this part has been thrown out as there aren’t enough contestants to make the six chair challenge enough of a battle.

Louis explained: ‘What we’re doing this year I think is a brilliant idea. I think everyone’s going to love watching these celebrities because it’s not what people expect.

‘Some of them are really good. The show feels more exciting. There’s no Bootcamp, no Six-Chair Challenge, it feels slick this year.

‘It’s been the best show on TV for a long time and has just had a little rebranding, I suppose, a new X Factor.’

The music manager joins Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger on the judges’ panel.

A new trailer for the show saw Simon, Nicole and Louis listening to the celebs do their thing in a luxury Hollywood venue, which we think is a fair replacement for judges’ houses.

Reality star Megan McKenna, Glee’s Kevin McHale, EastEnders’ Jonny Labey will all be competing in the Unders category. The Overs is comprised of journalist Martin Bashir, actress Victoria Ekanoye and talk show host Ricki Lake.

In the groups will be a Love Island supergroup comprised of Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker and Zara McDermott. Ben Foden, Thom Evans and Levi Davis will be teaming up for a group, along with Brendan Cole and Jeremy Edwards.

Megan was recently spotted welcoming Louis to her home as the pair filmed scenes for the show.

Given how happy the pair looked it’s safe to assume that the Towie star’s time on the show is going well.

The X Factor Celebrity starts Saturday 12 October at 8.35pm.

Vikings star Andrei Claude has been dropping teasers ahead of the final season.

We’re getting closer to the launch of season six in a couple of months time, and actor Alexander Ludwig has already teased the ‘insanity’ to come in the episodes ahead.

Andrei’s character Ganbaatar will become an ally to Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) in the new season of the hit historical show.

Sharing a picture of himself roaring into the action in the latest trailer for the show, he added the caption: ‘And did I mention that we’re not the friendliest of people?’

While filming the thrilling episodes, he has been blessing fans with behind-the-scenes snaps of the cast on set.

As well as chilling out with Alex in between takes he has given us a sneak peek at the lavish sets that will appear in season six, including a terrifying looking ceiling decoration made up of antlers.

In another snap from September this year, a long wooden table laden with candles and goblets can be seen, highlighting the attention to detail that goes into Vikings.

There was also a glimpse at a ‘new breed’ of Viking that was coming to cause trouble in season six.

Meanwhile stars Katheryn Winnick and Alex Høgh Andersen have teased their favourite scenes from the upcoming season, which includes an ‘epic’ battle.

Katheryn, who plays Lagertha, said: ‘I guess my most memorable battle has to be Lagertha’s next battle in season six.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BZB5NXOD-SE/

‘It is epic, took weeks to rehearse, lots of blood, sweat and tears.

‘It is definitely going to be something you have never seen before.’

Alex explained: ‘My favourite battle scene when shooting Vikings is from an episode called Homeland.

‘My character, Ivar The Boneless, is charging into battle, and he’s really eager to get there, and yet when he finally arrives he gets knocked off the chariot.

‘Straight away he finds himself all along on the battlefield, facing a hundred Saxon soldiers.’

Fondly recalling the moment, he laughed: ‘We shot that scene for 10 hours a day, two days in a row, in the pouring rain, and I was covered in blood from head to toe, screaming all day long. But that was tonnes of fun.’

Vikings season 6 returns to History Channel on December 4.

The Great British Bake Off’s Michael Chakraverty crashes out after tough Festival Week

The Great British Bake Off has said goodbye to another baker.

It was a particularly tough week on The Great British Bake Off as this week all the bakes had a festival theme.

The challenges this week involved festival buns, deep fried Italian pastry treats and a seriously complicated sarawak cake that was more about carpentry than cookery.

Michael Chakraverty, 26, had been struggling for a couple of episodes and managed to scrape through, but this week his time in the tent sadly came to an end.

His presence will be missed especially as he became a support system for some of the other bakers, who were brought to tears by his exit.

Looking back at his time on the show, Michael, who got the first Hollywood Handshake of the series, said that he felt it was right for him to go home.

He said: ‘It was my time, it was okay. My head is held high and I am so proud.

‘In the technical my Cassatelles exploded – and had the dreaded soggy bottom. And even though I spiced up my showstopper with rum for my Jamaican Mule Sarawak, it didn’t impress the judges enough to keep me in the tent.’

Elsewhere Henry had a great day at the office as he got a Hollywood Handshake from judge Paul Hollywood for his signature bake.

The Great British Bake Off airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.

Piers Morgan defends Ben Stokes over ‘unfortunate’ claims cricketer grabbed wife Clare’s throat

Piers Morgan has spoken out in defence of Ben Stokes over claims the cricketer had grabbed his wife’s throat at the 50th NatWest PCA Awards earlier this week.

Photos emerged from the event showing Ben, 28, holding his wife Clare by the neck and pushing her backwards, prompting claims he was attacking her.

However, Clare, 30, slammed the allegations against her husband and said Ben was playfully showing her affection.

Addressing the controversial photos on Good Morning Britain, Piers said on Wednesday: ‘They were seen around this picture being taken having a great night, having a few drinks. They carried on having a great night, posted pictures of them and so on.

‘It’s an interesting one, you have to take them at face value I think, you have to listen to what they say about it. They say it’s not what it looks like.’

Sharing his own insider knowledge, Piers continued: ‘I’m told they both like a party, they like a bit of a drink occasionally together and they are a bit boisterous together and that’s literally what it was, which might be the case. I’ve no reason to doubt them.

‘I think it’s one of those things, it’s totally emphatic.’

Defending the couple further, he added: ‘No one who was around them said they saw something nasty. It’s just one of those unfortunate things for them.’

Clare took to Twitter to amid the controversy and stated: ‘Unbelievable what nonsense these people will make up!

‘Me and Ben messing about squishing up each other’s faces cos that’s how we show affection and some pap tries to twist it in to a crazy story! ‘And all before we then have a romantic McDonalds 20 mins later! [sic]’

Ben retweeted the message and commented with a kissing emoji.

Piers and Susanna Reid sympathised with the couple for their sudden stardom and said: ‘He’s become a superstar and life changes…

‘I suspect for both of them it’s been a culture shock.’

Piers Morgan reveals his drink was spiked in his wild raving days: ‘I danced for eight hours’

Piers Morgan has revealed that not only was a raver in his younger days, but somebody spiked his drink at one of the wild parties.

The Good Morning Britain host discussed the Extinction Rebellion protestors setting up a party spot at Smithfields in east London, and admitted that he was also partial to a party in his early twenties.

But on one unfortunate occasion, his drink was spiked and it made him dance for hours on end.

Sharing the anecdote with his co-host Susanna Reid, the TV presenter said: ‘I’m very happy for them all and the last time I danced like that was in my early twenties when somebody slipped something into my drink.

‘I never found out what it was but I danced like that for eight hours.’

Blimey.

Piers then made us all cringe when he put on an American accent and quoted the Happy Mondays: ‘I was twisting my melons, man.’

Cool, dude.

He added of the protestors: ‘I’m not sure what the point of this, they storm into Smithfields market full of hardworking traders. The only people in the country who get up earlier than we do.’

Piers, 54, has made his feelings clear on the climate change protestors who have taken over parts of London, sparking travel chaos and inconvenience for some businesses.

On Monday’s episode of GMB, Piers called them ‘shameless hypocrites’ for ordering food at McDonald’s while also taking aim at activist Greta Thunberg again.

After mocking her voice, Piers said: ‘I’m glad it rained yesterday because those lot need a damn good shower. Honestly, the hypocrisy that comes from these people.

‘They went to McDonald’s to eat mass produced meat out of cardboard boxes. Maybe they’re not having a veggie burger, maybe they’re shameless hypocrites going to the epicentre of fast food.

‘They went down and defaced the famous horse with their stupid signs and stuff. We all want to save the planet. I’m not lying down on the floor, defacing the white horse, paralysing traffic in London for two weeks and genuinely behaving like a total imbecile. That’s not how you affect change.’

Sharon Osbourne reveals why she won’t work with Simon Cowell ever again after The X Factor

Sharon Osbourne has responded to Simon Cowell after he expressed how he’s open to working with her again, and the feeling isn’t exactly mutual.

Simon, 60, recently stated he’s open to working with Sharon, 67, again despite giving her the boot from The X Factor, claiming the pair had buried the hatchet over a phone call.

Sharon has since responded to his comments by explaining how there wasn’t a feud to begin with, but she’s rejecting any idea of working with Simon again in the future.

Speaking on US chat show The Talk (via Yahoo News), Sharon said: ‘Well, we were never, for me, not, not friends. Because for me, it was business, not personal. And there’s a huge line.’

She added: ‘That’s what happens when you work with people that you like. You fall out business-wise, but for me, I say what I feel at the time, and for me, it’s over.

‘And because I said certain things about, and to, Simon, doesn’t mean I hate him forever, just for that second I don’t like him… I never use the word hate when I talk about people. He’s okay, it’s just, I don’t want to work with him.’

Sharon also claimed on Monday’s episode of The Talk the pair haven’t spoken in over a year, despite Simon’s comments alleging they had a phone call recently.

‘The “other day” was May 2018!’ Sharon said.

Sharon was a judge on The X Factor from 2004 to 2007, before reappearing on the 2013, 2016, and 2017 series. She was lined-up to appear on the 2018 series, but released a statement shortly after the competition began stating she’d decided she was no longer needed.

Back in March, Sharon claimed Simon fired her from the 2018 series because she was ‘too old’.

‘I turned down a judge [gig] on The Masked Singer,’ Sharon said in March. ‘I was signed on to do [X Factor]. I was signed to go to England, and then Simon Cowell changed his mind and thought I was too old.

‘Simon Cowell goes, “She’s old. We need somebody young.” So if you want young, fire yourself.’ Simon’s reps denied the allegations at the time.

The X Factor is set to return this year with two special editions; a celebrity version and an all-stars series which brings back past contestants.

Piers Morgan explodes at Extinction Rebellion co-founder in heated debate: ‘Can you answer one question?’

Piers Morgan furiously criticised an Extinction Rebellion co-founder over her own carbon footprint in a heated debate on Good Morning Britain, after she refused to admit whether she owned a TV.

The Good Morning Britain presenter lost his cool during an interview with Skeena Rathor, who admitted to accepting the car ride had been sent for her but avoided stating whether her children used TVs at home.

When asked about whether she own a TV set, Skeena smiled uncomfortably and replied: ‘Can you tell me the point you’re trying to make, Piers?’

Continuing to challenge her, Piers continued: ‘Do you have a TV at home? Do your children use iPads? Can you answer these questions? Do you have air conditioning? Do you walk your kids to school? Do you see the problem with all this?

‘You go on about your kids not getting out of bed because they’re terrified, I’m not surprised they’re terrified because their mum’s telling them the planet’s about to end. I bet your own carbon footprint on all the stuff I just mentioned is terrible.’

Piers advised the activist to ‘practice what you preach’ by giving up technology and walking her children to school instead of using cars or public transport.

Skeena then attempted to defend her position and said: ‘Unless you live in a wood completely a recluse on your own, you’re going to be part of the system.’

While discussing some Extinction Rebellion protestors who were spotted at McDonald’s, the activist said: ‘We’re not talking about the real issue here. The issue is my children, I have three daughters, and I am not sure that I am going to be able to feed my children in years to come because of the fragility in our system.

‘There credible societies saying our systems are on the brink because they are fragile.’

The TV presenter hit back: ‘If you genuinely believe the world’s about to end, start with your own carbon footprint. Otherwise you become the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of this debate which is you do one thing and say another.’

Tensions then escalated when Piers continued to interrupt her, shouting: ‘Does your carbon footprint matter? Can you try answering one question seriously. Can you please stop talking?

‘Sorry, I’m really having a problem here. You’re not answering a single question. Does your personal carbon footprint count, yes or no? Can you stop talking for a moment?’ he said before exclaiming in frustration: ‘Jesus Christ.’

Piers continued: ‘Unbelievable. Sorry I’m really frustrated here… Total waste of time.

‘The truth is you do have a television and you don’t want to admit to having a television is because that immediately throws you into the hypocrisy debate because you’re guzzling up and burning the atmosphere with your TV, and you don’t want to admit it because it makes you look like a rank hypocrite.’

He finished by advising her to ‘start with action in your own house’.

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.

The Office US fans have a reason to celebrate today as Jim and Pam Halpert, aka the couple goals to end all couple goals, celebrate their 10-year anniversary.

Seeing as the show is still going strong as a cult favourite, we can totally celebrate it if they’re real, right?

The Dundler Mifflin employees (Played by Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski) started life sharing glances across the office floor and sharing a mutual love of tormenting their co-worker Dwight (Rainn Wilson), but soon no one could deny they were meant to be together.

So when the wedding finally happened, we were all left in floods of tears as the gang trekked out to Niagra Falls and took over the ceremony, complete with dance number.

(Thankfully Jim and Pam had gone and tied the knot by themselves in their own special moment.)

But while the whole day seemed super romantic, it was actually a massive panic to shoot.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly to celebrate the landmark occasion, actor John said: ‘That day was insane! We had to get it all done in a matter of an hour or so.

‘We had to hide the fact that it was us and try not to let people see the actual wedding in case it got spoiled. On top of it all, I had the flu.

‘So one of the most romantic kisses in the show… is actually just me giving her a huge kiss on the cheek because I didn’t want to get her sick.’

Hey, nothing says love quite like sharing a flu virus, right?

But both him and Jenna weren’t prepared for how loved the series became – especially Jim and Pam and their relationship, and for it to continue 10 years later.

Jenna said: ‘I feel like everyone in their love story journey has had a moment of unrequited love or yearning for a person, so I think that kind of hooked people early on. But I really have to give credit to John Krasinski’s performance.

‘In our second episode [of season one], Jim goes after a big sale and Dwight ends up stealing it from him. But in his final talking head, Jim says it was a pretty good day, and he’s saying that because Pam fell asleep on his shoulder.

‘That look on Jim’s face, every woman out there wanted a man to look like that when they talked about her.’

‘It makes me so happy [that people still watch],’ she added. ‘It really does deeply resonate with people and is meaningful beyond just being entertaining.’

‘I feel honored and love that the show is still out there and making people laugh.’

John added: ‘To be honest, it’s hard to compute. We all had such a blast and felt that the show was as big as it would ever be when we ended it…. Man, were we wrong!

‘It will always be the greatest honor to have been a part of a show this special.’

Millie Bobby Brown is totally into ‘evil Eleven’ Stranger Things season 4 fan theory

Could Eleven turn evil in the fourth season? (Picture: Netflix)

Warning: Contains spoilers for Stranger Things season three.

Millie Bobby Brown has responded to a Stranger Things fan theory which believes Eleven could turn evil, and she’s digging the idea.

While many might be wondering if Hopper is still alive after the show’s third season, some fans believe Eleven could have been infected by the Mind Flayer after a part of its flesh got stuck on her leg, potentially turning her into a villain for the next season.

Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, has since given her verdict on this very theory – and she’s a bit freaked out by the possibility of it.

Asked by Elle about the theory, Millie said: ‘I kind of like it! I’m into it. I wasn’t playing it like that. We don’t know what happens in season four. I definitely don’t.

‘In scenes after the Mind Flayer grabbed me, I wasn’t playing it as I was infected. I was definitely playing it as normal as possible. And maybe that’s the reason they didn’t tell me. To make it as real as possible. I don’t know.

Stranger Things 3 was a huge hit (Picture: Netflix)

‘Those theories freak me out a bit. Because I’m like, “Oh god, that could genuinely be true.” And what if she is the villain? That would be so cool. Wouldn’t that be cool? I’d love to be the villain, but then I also wouldn’t because Eleven is perfect. It would suck.’

While it could be a tricky path for creators The Duffer Brothers to navigate, the idea of Eleven turning evil would be an interesting twist – especially after her powers have become a crutch for Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp).

Netflix recently confirmed Stranger Things season 4 is in the works for 2020, following positive reception from audiences and critics to the show’s third outing.

The Duffer Brothers have also signed a multi-year deal to produce television series and films for Netflix.

Speaking about the deal and renewal, the Duffer Brothers said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Netflix. Ted Sarandos, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright, and Matt Thunell took a huge chance on us and our show – and forever changed our lives.

‘From our first pitch meeting to the release of Stranger Things 3, the entire team at Netflix has been nothing short of sensational, providing us with the kind of support, guidance, and creative freedom we always dreamed about. We can’t wait to tell many more stories together – beginning, of course, with a return trip to Hawkins!’

Stranger Things season 4 will release on Netflix in 2020.
