The Big Bang Theory finally made its way to the real Nobel Prize ceremony on Tuesday evening – just a few months after Sheldon Cooper earned his own in the series finale.

Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) and his wife Amy Farrah-Fowler (Mayim Bialik) were seen receiving their long-coveted prize as the show bid farewell after 12 years as a much-loved sitcom.

So it seems only fitting that the show become an official part of the Nobel Prize world with a tiny nod by the academy team at the Nobel Prize presentation in Stockholm, Sweden.

Academy member Ulf Danielsson took inspo from the show’s theme song, sung by Barenaked Ladies, and started the evening’s events by declaring: ‘Our whole universe was in a hot, dense state, then nearly 14 billion years ago expansion started.’

It seemed to fit into the evening’s winners and their achievements in physics, as three scientists took home the award for their work around the understanding of the actual Big Bang, as the discovery of a planet outside of our solar system.

Secretary general of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Goran Hansson, also praised the show, and called it a ‘fantastic achievement’ for bringing the ‘world of science to laptops and living rooms around the world.’

He said: ‘I hope that Sheldon and Amy are not too disappointed today.’

Somehow, we reckon that they would be more than pleased with their recognition.

The final episode of the show, titled The Stockholm Syndrome, was credited as the show’s best ever episode by fans and IMDb ratings.

The 279th episode overall saw Sheldon ditch his years planned speech belittling those that doubted him for a sentimental speech to his friends, praising them for their help in getting them to where he was.

The cast – completed by Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), Simon Helberg (Howard), Kaley Cuoco (Penny) and Johnny Galecki (Leonard), in tears as they listened to Sheldon’s speech, and as the usually headstrong character finally acknowledged what he’d been ignoring for 12 years.

‘I was under a misapprehension that my accomplishments were mine alone. nothing can be further from the truth,’ he announced.

‘I have been encouraged, sustained, inspired and tolerated not only by my wife but by the greatest group of friends anyone had ever had.’

The Big Bang Theory is available to stream on Netflix in the UK.

Coleen Rooney has denied her TV return in a fierce message after it was rumoured she was eyeing up Strictly Come Dancing 2020.

The 33-year-old told her Instagram followers that she has been making up fake stories in order to catch out who has been selling her news to the press.

Sharing a heated rant onto her social media, the WAG claimed to have set up a plot to expose the culprit, which she claims is Rebekah Vardy.

Coleen wrote: ‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper.

‘And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.’

She added: ‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3ZHjyjBhSV/?utm_source=ig_embed

‘Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

However, her fellow footballer’s wife has since denied the accusations.

The spat comes after insiders claimed that the mother-of-four is wanting to enter the showbiz world once again.

When chatting to Heat magazine, a source said: ‘She’s hired a new team and is already hard at work on a massive rebrand.

‘She wants to step back into the spotlight and remind the public that she’s not just Wayne’s wife or a mum to four boys.’

They added: ‘The family is really excited to see her follow her dreams, and her parents have already said they will help with the kids.’

On top of this, the source went onto say that Coleen is also eyeing up a spot on next year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

They said that there are talks about her fronting her own makeover show, a chat show, and a home renovation series, so watch this space.

The star shares Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and one-year-old Cass with her husband Wayne Rooney.

Just recently the family moved back to Cheshire after the footballer was signed to Derby County as their player-coach.

But despite the move, their relationship has been tested after claims that the father-of-four cheated on his wife after being linked to a woman in a hotel.

He has furiously denied the speculation, calling the mystery women nothing but a mere fan.

The sportsman, 33, tweeted: ‘Nothing happened between me and any girl on that night in Vancouver. I did not enter the lift alone with the girl pictured in the hotel foyer.

‘The girl pictured in the club was simply one of many who innocently asked for autographs and pictures.’

Metro.co.uk have reached out to Coleen’s reps for further comment.

The excitement for Dancing On Ice is building – and ‘H’ from Steps has just given fans a glimpse at what goes on behind-the-scenes.

Ian Watkins aka ‘H’ from Steps has also made show history because he will be the first contestant to be paired up in a same-sex dance couple – beating rival show Strictly Come Dancing.

Professional skater Matt Evers has paired up with H ahead of the ITV competition returning in January, and today the singer shared a picture to Twitter giving fans a behind-the-scenes look.

He captioned the photo ‘Happiness is….’ with two ice skating Emojis.

‘After conversations with the Dancing on Ice production team, H enquired as to the possibility of being paired with a male pro skater,’ a source told Metro.co.uk.

They continued: ‘Dancing on Ice were fully supportive of a same-sex partnership and as such this year H will be paired with Matt Evers.’

A spokesperson told us: ‘We won’t be commenting on speculation around the Dancing on Ice pairings until closer to the new series in 2020.’

Last year, former Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner backed the call for same-sex couples to join the rink.

‘I’m sure ITV would have no problem with embracing it,’ he said. ‘It would be great to have a same-sex couple.’

However the panelist, who has now been replaced by John Barrowman, was quick to add that those in a same-sex partnership may have their work cut out for them.

Jason explained: ‘When you’ve got two men, generally you’ve got similar heights and weights.

‘That’s when it starts getting difficult. It’s very difficult to put somebody your own size above your head.’

Dancing On Ice rival show Strictly has yet to make the move to same-sex couples dancing together on the show.

However, back in August, a BBC spokesperson told Metro.co.uk that they are open to the idea.

Strictly Come Dancing is an inclusive show and we are proud to have featured same sex dancing amongst the professional dancers in group numbers in previous series.

‘We are completely open to the prospect of including same sex pairings between our celebrities and professional dancers in the future, should the opportunity arise.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One and Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January 2020.

WWE’s King Corbin says The Rock clash is ‘dream come true’

Corbin and Rock (Picture: WWE)
Corbin was double-teamed by The Rock and Becky Lynch in the Friday Night SmackDown (Picture: WWE)

WWE’s King Corbin got what was coming to him on Friday Night SmackDown last week when he was double-teamed by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch to kick off the historic show.

However, for the man behind the arrogant and antagonistic character, getting to work with the legendary superstar was an absolute honour and something he’d wanted to do for a long time.

Speaking in Los Angeles just hours before the show at the Staples Center, Corbin – who only found out about the show opening skit when he arrived at the arena – exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘That’s a dream come true. I’ve been here seven years, I don’t think I’ve ever met him. I may have walked by him running around doing something at ‘Mania.

‘He’s coming to be a part of the show, he’s probably the biggest icon on the face of the earth right now. For him to find time to part of this shows how big it really is!’

While the big-time Hollywood actor would deliver some scathing put-downs on-screen before hitting Corbin with his signature moves – the People’s Elbow and Rock Bottom – he has gone on to heap praise on the WWE’s current premiere bad guy on social media, telling him he has a ‘lot of talent and potential’ while thanking him for the work they did together in the ring.

Fans are used to seeing the star – who went by Baron Corbin before adopting his royal moniker after winning this year’s King of the Ring tournament – as the ultimate bad guy, the kind of man who reveled in the moment a small child was so angry he beat Kurt Angle in the Hall of Famer’s last ever match at WrestleMania 35 earlier this year that they ‘gave him the finger’.

King Corbin (Picture: WWE)

But there’s another side to the former Raw constable and acting general manager, and all round thorn in the side of the WWE’s heroes – and it’s a lighthearted one that viewers watching at home or at the arenas and stadiums around the world rarely see.

The ex-NFL sportsman told us how he once pranked fellow villain Lacey Evans by sneaking some Gummy Bears into her hand during a live show, meaning she had to keep her fist closed for the rest of the match.

‘She was eating them backstage, these Gummy Bears. So I handed her them and she couldn’t do anything,’ he laughed.

At this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony, fans got a glimpse of his playful side when he got caught in the crossfire as his boss Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque chased him down with a water gun in the crown.

‘It was cool because I remember, I was just watching it and for some reason, I caught Hunter’s eye, he looked at me and it’s like, this is going to go badly for me,’ he joked.

‘And he just started chasing me – it’s cool, it’s another thing that’s a testament for their love for this. I wouldn’t be anywhere without Triple H.’

It’s the same kind of relationship he shares with WWE’s owner Vince McMahon, and Corbin admitted it’s very important to know when it’s appropriate to joke around and when he needs to get down to work.

He added: ‘I have a fantastic relationship with Vince. There’s been a couple of times where he’s tried to knock me out of chairs or knock me over and run off – I know when I can do that and when it’s all business. ‘I’m going to try to make you a  million dollars tonight,’ and then maybe later he hits me in the back of the head with something and thinks it’s hilarious!’

While Corbin still has his goals of holding championship gold in the WWE and one day making it into the Hall of Fame, he has his plans for when his in-ring career comes to an end – although he doesn’t want to think too far ahead.

‘I’m a guy who lives in the moment,’ he said.

‘I know little things I want to do when I leave WWE, like I want to own a whisky, wine, cigar bar called The Liars Club and it’ll be an awesome bar with crazy oddities in it. I collect oddities, I’ve got human skulls at home.

‘Those are little things, but to the extent staying involved – I just don’t know. You have guys like The Undertaker and Hunter who grab onto me a little bit. They’ve done amazing things – I wanna be in the Hall of Fame. I wanna be the guy where when I’m done, 15 years from now people go “Holy crap, he was really good, we didn’t realise it.” That’s what I want.’

Friday Night SmackDown airs every week at 1am on Sky Sports Arena and Main Event. WWE will be touring the UK next month with a huge double TV taping featuring both Raw and SmackDown superstars in Manchester on 8 November.

South Park is targeting the anti-vaxxer movement for its 300th episode celebrations, because nothing says party like viral infection.

The show’s next episode titled ‘SHOTS!!!’ sees Cartman refuse to take a jab from doctors, prompting some concern from Stan, Kyle, Kenny and co.

In a clip from the episode, Cartman says: ‘It’s my personal belief government should not coerce citizens into receiving medical interventions. And besides I don’t want to risk immunisations making me artistic.’

An official synopsis reads: ‘Randy revels in a Tegridy Farms milestone. Meanwhile, Cartman stands his ground and refuses to get a shot.’

The 300th episode is set to air tonight (9 October) in the US, with Comedy Central also hosting an all-day marathon to celebrate the milestone.

It follows creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone issuing a mocking apology to China following last week’s episode, which put the spotlight on Hollywood shaping its content in order to avoid offending Chinese government censors.

Following the episode, it’s believed the Chinese government stripped the show’s existence from Chinese internet altogether, proving their point entirely.

In response to the online scrubbing, Trey and Matt issued a comical statement, which read: ‘Like the NBA, we welcome the Chinese censors into our homes and into our hearts.

South Park apology

‘We too love money more than freedom and democracy. XI doesn’t look like Winnie The Pooh at all. Tune into our 300th episode this Wednesday at 10! Long live the great Communist Party of China.

‘May the autumn’s sorghum harvest be bountiful. We good now China?’

The Chinese government previously censored any mention of Winnie The Pooh after many people began comparing Chinese president Xi Jinping to the character.

South Park airs Fridays on Comedy Central UK at 10pm.

Louis Walsh has admitted that he only left X Factor because fellow judge Simon Cowell ‘paid him off’.

The music manager left the hit ITV show in 2012 because he was handed a massive pay out by Simon Cowell – but he says he’s glad to be back.

Louis, who was part of the official judging line-up when the show first hit our screens in 2004, admitted to Daily Star Online his decision to walk away was simply due to him being ‘paid off’ rather than an epic row behind the scenes.

Chatting at the 2019 Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year Awards ahead of the new series of Celebrity X Factor this weekend, Louis, 67, said: ‘I wasn’t kicked off.

‘In fact, I was paid off if you really want to know the truth.

‘I’m back, listen, you would take it if you were offered it… it was a lot.’

The 67-year-old also insisted that there is no feud with pal Simon Cowell.

He added: ‘Never, ever, ever. I was there for so long – it’s fun.

‘The new celebrity show is amazing and we have some amazing people on it. Megan McKenna is amazing and even Martin Bashir… he will surprise you.’

Hitting out at Westlife for recently saying they believed Louis’ X Factor axe was part of ‘a script’, Louis said: ‘They don’t know what they are talking about.’

On Saturday Louis will return to the small screen when X Factor Celebrity finally kicks off along with Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger.

In a bid to breathe new life into the show, Simon has shaken things up by splashing out of 15 celebrity acts to battle it out for a recording contract.

This weekend the first of two Judges’ Houses episodes will air on ITV as the famous faces sing to impress the judges.

The Love Island band, who were put together by X Factor bosses, consists of Zara McDermott, Samira Mighty, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker.

Other famous faces include Ricki Lake and Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan from The Chase.

Rick and Morty trailer takes cheeky dig at Marvel’s Doctor Strange in season 4 trailer

Rick and Morty couldn’t resist a cheeky little dig at their fellow time and space traveller Doctor Strange in the latest trailer for the upcoming season 4.

Creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon may have upset fans with only five episodes being released when the new season launches in November, but they look like they’re cramming a lot in.

And by that we mean, they’re taking the mick out of everyone and anyone.

In one quick clip, which appears to be at some intergalactic nightclub, Rick whips off his ever-present lab coat and commands it to ‘rip off Doctor Strange’.

Just like the trusty sentient cloak that comes in super handy for Benedict Cumberbatch’s time-manipulator, Rick’s coat flies off and wraps itself around a security guard that’s coming after him and his grandson, Morty.

Eat your heart out, Strange. Never thought I’d see the day where I’d want to see two cloaks go head-to-head in a fight, but there you go.

The flyaway (no pun intended) comment comes after work by Dan Harmon on the 2016 was almost totally dismissed by the team for being ‘too out of Harmonland’ to fit the MCU.

While Harmon would later say his efforts on the film was a positive experience after all, we can’t help but feel there was at least some shade going on there.

Rick and Morty seasons 1-3 are available on Channel 4, with season 4’s UK release unconfirmed.

NCIS bosses reveal Ziva return details in season 17 and a Tony reunion may finally be on the cards

The return of Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) has been one of the most talked-about events during season 17 of NCIS.

After an initial starring role in two episodes, the drama will be bringing the character back for more – and she may finally get to reunite with lover Tony.

After a now-iconic meeting between Ziva, Bishop and Torres at the start of season 17, the former main character left after Gibbs (Mark Harmon) got a phone call from Ziva’s former lover Tony (Michael Weatherly)

The former NCIS agent is currently on the run and trying to clear her name after being declared a terror threat. Fans saw her exit as she swore to clear her name and return to her family a free woman.

She may be gone now, but showrunners are already bracing fans for her seemingly inevitable return. And yes, a ‘Tiva’ reunion is probably 100% happening.

‘There will be four episodes [with Ziva],’ producer Frank Gardea told Parade Magazine (via Newsweek). ‘Two early on, and two in fall/winter.’

‘We’re very well aware of the Tony-Ziva connection,’ added exec Steven Binder. ‘And the fans desire and response to it.’

Ziva Cote de Pablo NCIS

That means that fans have already seen the first two instalments…and there’s two left to go. Given that Tony got into contact with Gibbs about Ziva, we know it won’t be long until the star-crossed lovers are reunited  – probably in the most dramatic and heart-wrenching way possible.

Cote de Pablo herself also previously shared the news that her character would only be back for a short stint in the high-octane drama, but her return has been on the cards for some time.

‘This time they wanted to really have a serious discussion about where I thought the character had been in the past five years,’ the actress said. ‘And how we could potentially create a complex and fun storyline to bring the character back.’

NCIS is broadcast on Fox UK and is also available to stream on NOW TV.

I Love You, Now Die viewers are torn over Michelle Carter’s part in Conrad Roy’s suicide (Picture: Sky Crime/AP)

I Love You, Now Die is the gripping new true crime series which has thrown somewhat of a curve ball for viewers as new details surrounding Conrad Roy III’s suicide and girlfriend Michelle Carter’s involvement have been brought to light.

Conrad’s body was discovered in 2014 before police discovered disturbing messages on the teenager’s phone from Michelle encouraging her boyfriend to take his own life.

‘Drink bleach’ and ‘Hang yourself jump off a building stab yourself idk theres (Sic.) lots of ways,’ are just two of thousands of texts from Michelle, spurring on one of the blurriest cases in recent memory.

The couple from Massachusetts met only a handful of times over two years, but shared countless destructive conversations which eventually lead to tragedy.

Was Michelle to blame for Conrad’s death? The answer divided US public opinion, but the media unanimously painted the high school student as a monster.

The 23-year-old is currently serving 15 months behind bars for the involuntary manslaughter of her ex-boyfriend, but I Love You, Now Die reveals the untold story of Michelle’s mental health struggles, poorly prescribed medication and Conrad’s manipulative texts. At one point, he lied to Michelle and claimed his own mother had seen he was researching methods to kill himself, but turned a blind eye.

Now viewers have admitted they’re more torn over Michelle’s part in Conrad’s death than they were just days ago.

‘Having just watched both episodes of I Love You, Now Die on @SkyCrimeUK, this case certainly wasn’t as cut and dried as I first thought and press made out,’ wrote one stunned audience member. ‘A story of love and two f**ked up kids. It’s actually very very sad. #ILoveYouNowDie.’

Another agreed: ‘“I love you, now die” has got me sooo conflicted.’

Conrad Roy III
Michelle encouraged Conrad Roy to take his own life (Picture: Sky Crime)

‘The Michele (sic) Carter case is nuts. I was so sure of what I thought about it, but @HBO documentary spills new info that can’t be ignored. The girl needs serious help, but she’s not a killer. And Conrad was a very manipulative person. #iloveyounowdie,’ and ‘I think I’ve changed my mind a bit now #ILoveYouNowDie not so clear cut,’ wrote two more viewers taking a U-turn.

True crime is still evolving since The Case of Adnan Syed completely flipped perceptions of a guilty verdict. Michelle’s case is one of the foggiest for the ‘armchair detective’.

Consultant Forensic Psychologist Kerry Daynes spoke to press including Metro.co.uk at the launch of Sky Crime to explain the vitality of exploring these complex narratives, which have otherwise suffered from one-dimensional reporting.

‘I think that’s’ what our audience wants,’ said Daynes. ‘Gone are the days when true crime was the Pot Noodle of television, something you’d watch at 2am in the morning and it was bad guy doing something terrible to the ideal victim.

‘I think it perpetuates stereotypes which are harmful in the real world. We live in a world where juries are reluctant to convict ordinary-looking men of rape and don’t believe victims when they come forward. Victims of sexual assault don’t want to come forward in fear of not being believed.’

I Love You, Now Die is available to watch on Sky Crime and NOW TV.

Lucifer season 5 episode 4 title clue hints it’s not going to end well – but for who?

$

Lucifer cast only found out hours before we did that the show was ending after season 5
What’s going on with the Lucifer squad? (Picture: Getty)

Lucifer’s writing team know how to tease the fans and keep them on edge as we wait patiently (well… a little patiently) for season 5 to finally come our way.

Dropping episode titles one-by-one, things have been getting more difficult to figure out – but episode four title hint is literally driving us mad.

I$ N#### E&&& W*** F”” T__ C@@@@@@’ is all we’ve got to go on at the moment, alongside a couple of emojis including a thinking face, a devil and… a chicken.

So this could be something either incredibly hilarious, or incredibly worrying for one of our detective squad.

As Lucifans put their own detective skills to work, in efforts that would make Chloe Decker (Lauren German) proud, they reckon they’ve cracked it…almost.

It could be ‘It Never Ends Well For The Captain’ or ‘It Never Ends Well For The Chicken’.

In the realms of the weird and wonderful world of Lucifer, both are completely plausible – with Captain’s at the precinct never exactly faring well on the series.

But if that’s the correct version…could it suggest that Marcus Pierce (Tom Welling) aka original sinner Cain, aka the Captain who fell in love with Decker, be coming back?

Lucifer season 5

Netflix reveals Lucifer's devil face from season 4
What’s the little devil up to now? (Picture: Netflix)

Show bosses Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich previously said in a Q&A that a familiar face will be returning to the show now that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is back on his throne in Hell.

Question would be who though.

Alternatively, we could be getting an answer/throwback to jokes from previous seasons involving the ultimate question in the universe… “why did the chicken cross the road?”

Chloe previously joked to Lucifer about chickens, and Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) also owned a chicken at one point. Throw in a chicken emoji and things are getting complicated.

In the meantime, we know the title of the first three episodes.

Episode one will be named Really Sad Devil Guy – which is appropriate seeing as he’s been forced back down to look over Hell despite just admitting his love for Decker.

In the second, Lucifer! Lucifer! Lucifer!, it seems that someone is, at the very least, going to call him out, but that means nothing really when he can conjure up pretty much anything he wants.

And the third, despite fans being convinced that it was going to be a reunion episode centred on and titled Decker, it was actually Diablo…which is just another Devil reference.

Why do This Morning and Loose Women keep being cancelled?

This Morning fans will have a slightly prolonged wait to see Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield interview more special guests and chat about the big topics of the day, as the show is taking a short break from ITV’s schedule.

Tuesday’s show saw Lisa Snowdon on the sofa, offering tips and tricks needed to make a sartorial impact in autumn and beyond.

Juliet Sear was in the kitchen, explaining how to give the traditional chocolate Swiss roll recipe a Halloween makeover at home, and there was a glamorous section featuring Victoria Beckham sharing her biggest make-up fails.

So why isn’t the show screening on Wednesday and when is it back?

Why isn’t This Morning on today and when is it back?

Wales take on Fiji in the Rugby World Cup in Japan today, and ITV has the rights to show the game live.

Coverage of the match runs throughout the morning, meaning This Morning will make way for Sam Warburton, Gareth Thomas and Jamie Roberts as they follow Wales’s World Cup progress live.

The Pool C clash takes over the schedule until 1.30pm, so Loose Women, which usually follows This Morning, is also cancelled today.

The good news for This Morning fans is that the show will be back on Thursday, when features include an interview with Sienna Miller about her new film, American Woman.

Loose Women will also be back straight after This Morning, with no further Rugby World Cup interruptions planned for the schedule between now and the end of next week.

It’s not the first time This Morning and Loose Women have been cancelled lately because of the Rugby World Cup, but given the final is on 2 November, fans of the morning TV shows won’t have to put up with the disruptions for too much longer.

Millie Bobby Brown really wasn’t a fan of Eleven’s Stranger Things season 3 end game: ‘I just felt really against it’

Millie Bobby Brown in Netflix show STRANGER THINGS
Millie Bobby Brown wasn’t into Eleven’s end game in Stranger Things season 3 (Netflix)

Stranger Things 3 may have been the triumph to heal the wounds from the Game of Thrones finale this year but Millie Bobby Brown was ‘p****d’ with Eleven’s cliff-hanger.

The Netflix series has now been confirmed for a season four, following on from Jim Hopper’s (played by David Harbour) sacrifice which meant his badass daughter moved in with Joyce (Winona Ryder) and the Byers family before they fled Hawkins because no one in their right mind would stay there after battling a slew of monsters which have been harbouring beneath the surface.

But for Millie, the ending just didn’t fly.

‘I was p****d,’ she told Elle. ‘I read the script and I was like, “What, how is this even possible? Why are they moving away?” They were like “Didn’t you read episode 3?” And I was like, “Oh yeah.” Because Joyce said she wanted to move away from Hawkins.

‘I don’t know, I just felt really against it,’ she continued. ‘When we were filming it, all of us kids said to each other, “So how are we all going to cry?” Because we don’t really cry in front of each other very often. I usually am the one who’s crying in every single scene and the kids have to deal with me listening to [sad] music and they’re like, “Oh God.”

‘I thought, are we all going to go off and listen to music? And then one of the kids was like, “Imagine if we have to do this for real one day.” And we were like, “What do you mean?” And they were like, “What if, when Stranger Things is over, we’ll all have to say goodbye to each other and like this is it.”

Millie Bobby Brown at Stranger Things premiere
Millie’s pretty hyped for Stranger Things season 4 (Picture: Getty)

‘And we all started crying and then they rolled camera and said action. And that was it. We all started saying goodbye to each other. We felt too real.’

The teen entrepreneur, who launched her own production company alongside her sister Paige Brown last year, also revealed the Stranger Things 4 fan theory which has really ‘freaked [her] out’.

As for what’s in store, she still has no idea. And it seems David Harbour is just as much in the dark as you or us as he called producers Ross and Matthew Duffer to ask: ‘Is Hopper dead?’

Their response? ‘We’re still figuring it out.’ Great.

One Stranger Things fan, however, may have discovered Hopper’s whereabouts even if the actual Duffer Brothers haven’t quite got there yet.

Stranger Things seasons one to three are available to stream on Netflix.

There’s nothing scarier than Paul Hollywood staring into your eyes while biting your bake

Paul Hollywood on Bake Off
It’s the first time we’ve seen Prue and Paul linger in the background, like exam invigilators (Picture: Getty)

I was curious to see what the bakes for festival week would be. Expecting a lot of carnival colour, I wasn’t disappointed by the time we got to the showstopper.

Alice has spent the week marking, on top of her bake off prep. I’ll be impressed if she can whisk after all of that – I get cramp writing my shopping list!

Things kicked off with an Easter favourite: hot cross buns. I may have misheard Prue and thought we were getting unicorn hot cross buns… turns out she said uniform. Bit of a shame.

It’s the first time we’ve seen Prue and Paul linger in the background, like exam invigilators.

There’s more dodgy camera work this week too, with a zoom on the buns in the oven through the legs of a mystery baker. I was trying to identify the baker by their buns and I think it might have been David.

It’s a relief to see this episode seems to have settled back down; the judges are cheerier, the bakes are going well, this is much easier viewing than last week.

When it came down to the bun judging, somehow Prue cheerfully saying Alice’s bakes ‘look homemade’ sounded like a backhanded compliment.

Michael from Great British Bake Off
The bakers are looking like meerkats during this challenge, with heads popping up and down from counter to oven every couple of minutes (Picture: Channel 4)

I certainly didn’t think I’d ever be saying ‘I want Henry’s buns’ out loud, but Paul apparently also wants them, gifting him with his first, very well deserved handshake. Yes, shut up.

Next up in the tent were Sicilian Cassatelle and they look delicious. I’ve never heard of them but I really want to try one now and it’s enjoyable to learn about new bakes. Also, hands up anyone who’s ever sieved cheese? Anyone? No? That’s what I thought.

We’ve been missing some good presenter/ baker interaction so it was nice to see Sandi taking her time to give the time’s up order to Michael and helping Henry in his pasta rolling.

I felt for the bakers during the technical judging – aside from the occasional burst Cassatelle, they all looked genuinely pleased with themselves for creating something they’ve never eaten before. Yet Paul and Prue proceeded to pick them apart swiftly and sharply.

They didn’t have time to dwell though, with Sarawak layer cake making me glad I didn’t have it as a showstopper when I was in the tent. It’s full of layers, fried layer at a time, deconstructed and then reassembled and traditionally served in Malaysia on special occasions.

Described as a complicated battenberg, this is a bake that requires lots of advanced planning and mapping out. It wasn’t until I went to culinary school that I appreciated the importance of cracking out pen and paper and carefully crafting a plan of action before starting.

The bakers are looking like meerkats during this challenge, with heads popping up and down from counter to oven every couple of minutes.

There’s something a little unnerving about Paul staring into your eyes while taking a bite of your bake.

I’m really impressed with their showstoppers, they’re not flawless but they’re beautifully put together and for four hours 15 mins of tent time, they’ve done really well. It’s nice to see our bakers being truly tested and having them rise to the occasion.

Henry got his second handshake this week, this time earning a comedy handshake from Sandi – the boy is on a roll and then goes and gets himself awarded star baker.

Unfortunately it’s also time to say goodbye to another baker. I’m sad to see Michael go, he’s been great to have in the tent. He does go out on the best quote so far though: ‘I wish I was a pretty crier, like in a black and white French film.’

And with that ladies and gents, we’ll be heading into quarter finals next week – well timed with the rugby!

Aniston singled out praise for the showrunner Kerry Ehrin, who she said created a ‘gorgeous’ world for the new characters to inhabit.

‘I’ve never read material like she’s written,’ the Murder Mystery actress enthused. ‘It’s so raw, it’s so beautiful, it’s so messy. It’s powerful.’

Game of Thrones director backtracks on season 8 criticism after calling the finale ‘rushed’

Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall has backtracked on criticism that he levied against the final season of the show – namely that it felt ‘rushed.’

Marshall – who helmed the famous Blackwater episode – had previously admitted he was unhappy about the actions and endings of certain characters featured in the show.

‘Ultimately all the characters ended up where they were meant to be,’ he told The Sun. ‘But I think some of them got there in a bit of a rush. I agree that it was a bit of a rush. It felt like things weren’t set up well enough.’

Cersei Lannister Game of Thrones
The director called the final run of episodes ‘rushed’ (Picture: REX/HBO)

Now, however, the filmmaker has backtracked on his comments. Speaking to NME, Marshall said that backlash to the final run of the show was inevitable.

‘I don’t necessarily think the backlash was justified,’ the filmmaker continued. ‘But it was unavoidable. I for one wouldn’t fault [showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss]. It was an unbelievable achievement and ten years of their lives that they’ve devoted to it.’

Marshall’s career on the HBO epic was relatively short, he only directed two episodes, but they happen to be two of the best in the history of the show; second series highlight Blackwater and Lord of the Rings-esque The Watchers on the Wall during the fourth season.

As we all know by now, Thrones’ last-ever run of episodes was divisive, to say the least.

The eighth instalment of the high-fantasy epic got a massive backlash from fans – from the lower episode count to the choices certain characters made, the general consensus was that the last eight episodes sprinted to the finish line with little care or love given to the show’s central characters or how they ended up in their pre-determined fates in the final.

The criticism was so intense, that a petition to re-write and re-shoot season eight managed to accumulate a record-breaking one million signatures, although network HBO have categorically said the show will not be re-shot.

One hope left for fans, however, are the source books. Author George RR Martin still hasn’t finished writing his high-fantasy epic, and has already spoken out about the ‘traumatic’ and unfaithful ending of the TV adaption.

Game of Thrones seasons one to eight are available to stream on NOW TV.

Mel B dangerously close to vomiting as James Blunt downs pint of cottage cheese on Celebrity Juice

Mel B is left in despair as she watches James Blunt drink a dirty pint filled with pickled eggs and cottage cheese on Celebrity Juice.

The ITV2 show is set to return on Thursday 10 October, with Mel B replacing Paddy McGuinness as a new team captain after he was forced to pull out due to scheduling conflicts.

So what does Mel B endure on her first outing as team captain? She has to watch James Blunt neck a pint of beer filled with pickled egg juice, cottage cheese, cornflakes, and thai fish sauce.

Alright, Blunt clearly has the worst deal here – but Mel B isn’t exactly enjoying being a spectator.

As the crowd cheers on, even host Keith Lemon seems slightly concerned by the challenge – with guest Richard Arnold and team captain Holly Willoughby seen also turning away.

Surprisingly, Blunt downs the pint without a hitch – so we should probably give Back To Bedlam another spin in his honour.

Speaking about joining the show, Mel B said: ‘I am so happy that I’m going to be part of the Celebrity Juice family and thrilled to be a captain.

‘My mission is to give Keith a run for his money. Watch out. Things are going to get even more crazy.’

Celebrity Juice kicks off Thursday 10 October on ITV2 at 10pm.

Coleen Rooney could only be played by Jodie Comer in the Netflix drama we all deserve, say fans

Coleen Rooney
Coleen has accused Rebekah of selling stories Picture: Karwai Tang/WireImage)

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy’s clash appears to be having more of an impact on the UK than Brexit and, naturally, we’re all desperate to know who will be playing the original WAG in the Netflix series we all deserve. Everyone’s first pick? Fellow Scouse Jodie Comer, obviously.

Earlier today, Wayne Rooney’s wife accused Rebekah of leaking personal stories from Coleen’s Instagram account to the press, which the I’m A Celebrity star has vehemently denied.

Regardless, tea has been spilled, popcorn is being devoured at a record rate and Netflix have teased they’re already planning the true crime expose of the millennium.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3ZL3B0hQTZ/

Surely a Ryan Murphy drama is looming and there’s really only one woman who could possibly nail the complex re-telling of this cut-throat game of cat and mouse, and that women is Jodie.

At least according to fans, who have beckoned on the Liverpudlian to land what will no doubt guarantee another BAFTA, Emmy and inevitable knighthood.

‘I can’t wait for the Jack Reacher/Coleen Rooney spin-off franchise, with @jodiecomer as Coleen and Scarlett Johansson as Reacher because she can play anything. #ColeenRooney,’ crired one superfan of the war of the WAGS, which was immediately followed by: ‘Can the next series of Feud be about Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy and have Coleen played by Jodie Comer?’

At the time of writing, hundreds of requests are coming in thick and fast and now, Jodie, we’re looking at you.

Make it happen.

Coleen broke the internet this morning when she released a statement on her Instagram, which read: ‘For a few years now someone I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge. After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion.

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy

‘To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while.)’

The mum-of-four continued: ‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.

Coleen Rooney statement

‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

Coleen captioned the statement: ‘This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it……’

Rebekah fired back in her own statement, writing: ‘As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this. I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me over the years can vouch for.

‘If you thought this was happening you could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped. Over the years various people have had access to my Insta and just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself.’

The reality star continued: ‘I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you? I liked you a lot Coleen and I’m so upset that you have chosen to do this, especially when I’m heavily pregnant.

‘I’m disgusted that I’m even having to deny this. You should have called me the first time this happened.’ She concluded her post with a broken heart emoji.

What a time to be alive.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones has celebrated Joe McFadden’s birthday, two whole years after the duo won the show.

The stars first met on the BBC dance competition, and it looks as though they’re still in touch.

Taking to Instagram, the professional shared a series of pictures of themselves on the ballroom floor as she celebrated her pal’s day.

The 30-year-old wrote in the caption: ‘Happy birthday to my gorgeous champ @mrjoemcfadden!

‘This time two years ago we were learning chachacha, which didn’t go so well. And look at you now starting in the massive musical, dancing in heels on stage!!!’

She added: ‘So so proud of you!!! Lots of love!’ Followed by the hashtags: ‘#dancing #strictly #strictlycomedancing #joemcfadden.’

Katya then shared another post in her story with her new celebrity partner as she wished the birthday boy well.

Sharing her message, Joe wrote alongside the clip: ‘Thanks, you absolute stars.’

Sports presenter Mike Bushell is now learning from the pro and managed to make it through to next week’s episode despite Katya suffering from a number of falls.

The star was performing a raunchy dance to The Weather Girls’ It’s Raining Men with the journalist but one move went a little bit wrong.

After a lovely spin and following Mike across the studio, Katya dropped to the floor – with some fans assuming Mike was meant to be there to catch her.

But it turns out Katya had tripped, and the judges were not impressed.

‘It wasn’t quite magic, it was nearly tragic in parts,’ Bruno Tonioli asserted.

However, Katya stood by her student and protested: ‘It wasn’t his fault!’

After the performance, she reassured her fans that everything was okay, and tweeted: ‘Guys! I’m totally fine! No idea what happened. So sorry. But so proud of @mikebreakfast for carrying on and delivering “the dolphin”!’

Inside Adnan Syed’s life in prison from his secret marriage to playing Xbox games

The Case Against Adnan Syed
The Case of Adnan Syed provided updates on the case (Picture: Sky Crime)

Every single morsel of Adnan Syed’s murder case has been analysed, scrutinised and picked apart by prosecutors, armchair detectives and actual detectives alike.

The 39-year-old has been in prison since the age of 18 when he was arrested and later convicted of the murder of his high school girlfriend Hae Min Lee.

It’s undoubtedly one of the most talked-about murder cases in recent history, and birthed a new age of fascination with true crime documentaries and podcasts.

Interest in Adnan’s case has unwavered since the masses were first introduced to the story through Serial, the record-breaking podcast hosted by Sara Keonig.

Sky’s true crime series, The Case of Adnan Syed, highlighted updates in Adnan’s ongoing appeal, while also featuring those key players involved with the tragic case, and also revealing how his family are coping with the neverending legal process.

Those with in-depth knowledge of the case can probably tell you facts without hesitation, but little is known about Adnan’s life in prison over the past 19 years.

Here’s a look at what Adnan has been up to behind bars…

Adnan Syed’s marriage

It may come as a huge surprise but Adnan has actually been married despite serving a life sentence for murder.

Rumours began circulating on the Adnan Syed ‘encyclopedia’ Reddit forum that he has a wife, but they were never confirmed.

That was until Undisclosed, the Serial follow-up hosted by his longtime friend Rabia Chaudry, said the rumours were actually true.

Adnan Syed married

In 2015, the podcast tweeted: ‘Yes it’s true, married but divorced later. Still friends today.’

When a follower asked if his wife was someone connected to the case, they replied with a simple: ‘No.’

According to Undisclosed, Sarah Koenig chose not to include this detail about his personal life in Serial, presumably to focus on the murder case.

Adnan Syed

Adnan Syed
Adnan’s said to be an exemplary inmate

Social life

Despite being locked up for more than half his life, Adnan seems to have pretty good access to events in the outside world, as well as entertainment.

Rabia told the audience at the TCA panel in February: ‘Adnan hears everything about himself from the news. The guards keep him updated. He gets all the newspapers and magazines.’

Serial host Sarah also detailed the extent of Adnan’s entertainment, which includes video games.

The journalist said on podcast Fresh Air: ‘He doesn’t have Internet. … He has an Xbox, one of those game things for the TV, and apparently you can play a CD on it, so at one point I said, “I can burn [Serial transcripts] onto CDs for you and send you those”.

‘I think he has to get special permission to receive a CD in prison, and he said, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’ll let you know when I get the permission”.’

Trouble behind bars

Adnan is said to be an upstanding inmate, rarely getting in trouble.

However, he does have one infraction that is public knowledge, which is being found in possession of a mobile phone in 2009.

The Case of Adnan Syed is available to watch on Sky Crime.

Secret Strictly conversations revealed as Katya Jones crashed to ground twice in live dance routine

Strictly Come Dancing‘s Katya Jones was left a little red-faced on Saturday after falling over twice live on TV – and now what she said to her dance partner Mike Bushell at the time has been revealed.

Katya tumbled to the ground while they were doing their Cha, Cha, Cha routine.

And now secret microphone conversations have been revealed so we can here exactly what Katya said at the time of her fall – as well as what the other contestants mumble while they’re dancing.

A video of the recordings was posted to the official Strictly Instagram page to reveal what’s really going on.

‘Oooh!’ cried Katya as she tripped over the confetti before crying out to a stunned Mike to ‘carry on.’

At the end of their raunchy Magic Mike routine, BBC Breakfast star Mike asked the Russian professional if she was OK.

Viewers saw the two embrace but what they didn’t hear was an exhausted Katya telling Mike: ‘Well done for carrying on! Well done.’

What fans don’t realise that as soon as the band strike up the music, the couples do not stop talking

One clip also sees Giovanni Pernice hilariously belting out the words to Cabaret during his performance with Michelle Visage.

But the Italian professional managed to pull himself together to then talk Michelle through their number step by step.

‘Nice, relax. Go. Go. Slow,’ Giovanni told Michelle as he guided her round the dancefloor in Movie Week.

Similarly, Anton Du Beke was also heard doing his best to put partner Emma Barton at ease – but not before he had a joke with the studio audience.

‘Groovy baby!’ cried the Strictly veteran as he got into character as Austin Powers.
