I can’t believe how they did this (Picture: BBC; Rex)
Two YouTube stars really did a number on Louis Theroux after they pranked him on The One Show – and no one else even noticed.
YouTuber’s Zac Alsop and Jay Rawsthorne featured on the BBC show by faking an email address and pretending to be someone else.
The duo revealed the joke ahead of their new E4 show Pants On Fire, which is hosted by Emma Willis.
The new series, which starts tomorrow night, will see three daredevil teams attempt some of the stupidest, bravest, but often pointless challenges in locations around the globe.
In the studio the teams – comedians Bobby Mair and Harriet Kemsley, besties Donna Preston and Verona Rose and YouTube stars Zac Alsop and Jay Rawsthorne – have to convince a skeptical celebrity jury they’ve been successful in their challenges… even if they haven’t.
Ahead of the show, Zac revealed how they managed to prank Louis Theroux, the audience and even the BBC producers when they managed to get on The One Show.
They duo faked an email address and pretended to be someone else just to meet their hero (Picture: BBC)
He said: ‘The One Show had Louis Theroux on and they were interviewing him about his new documentary series. One of our friends runs nightclub events to do with Louis Theroux – sort of Louis Theroux appreciation nights – and they got a message from a researcher at The One Show, but they didn’t want to do it.
‘So we set up a fake email and intercepted that opportunity, convinced them that we were the ones who operated those club nights and then 10 hours later we were live in the studio on national TV with Louis Theroux, wearing Louis Theroux T-shirts, pretending we run a Louis Theroux club night.
‘We went down on our hands and knees and bowed to him on national TV which was really funny.’
The duo will be appearing on a new E4 show called Pants On Fire (Picture: E4)
However it turns out though that Zac and Jay are huge Louis Theroux fans.
He added: ‘I think he is a national hero, so although we were doing it in jest and we weren’t the ones running the Louis Theroux organisation, we did actually mean it from a heartfelt place.’
Pants on Fire airs Thursdays at 9pm on E4 starting October 10.

Sophie reckons we’re about to see sparks fly with Jack and Beth (Picture: Channel 4/ Steve Ullathorne)
The Circle’s voiceover Sophie Willan reckons we might see romance for the first time on the show between Jack and Beth – if they don’t kill each other first.
The Manchester native has been guiding us through the drama for the past two seasons, and has remained the only person to appear on both seasons.
Jack and Beth were both introduced as late entries to the game, but failed to make an impression as themselves – so they’ve now united and re-entered the social media chat as 62-year-old Joyce.
But after Jack was seen flirting with every girl on the show, it’s clear that he’s got his head somewhere other than the chat…and while they didn’t fall for it over text, Sophie reckons he may have better luck as he gets into close quarters in a small 2-bed flat with Beth.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk about her suspicions, she said: ‘I don’t know [how they’re going to do]. I think that they could either end up getting off with each other or having a blazing row. It could go one way or the other – or both! You never know, do you?
‘I think it’s going to be high tensions between them, because apart from the fact that they both think each other are quite attractive, they’re quite different.
‘It’s quite hard because who writes what for Joyce? It could be a tricky one!’
Jack and Beth now have to live with each other as a new player, Joyce (Picture: Channel 4)
Sophie admits that while she’s hooked in to the game as the narrator of the shenanigans that go on, and pledges Tim for the win, she reckons she would struggle being on the show herself.
But if she did go in, she would love to go in as Joyce.
‘There’s something intriguing about going in there as a catfish,’ Sophie added. ‘I’ve got quite an old soul, so I think I could sort’ve go in as an older woman or sort of, an older gay man. I think I could do a very good Joyce actually.’
Beth and Jack have certainly bonded during their time on the show, with the pair hoping to take home the prize money by becoming the likable dog lover who is experiencing life at an older age and loves a gin and tonic.
The pair are now playing as 62-year-old dog lover, Joyce (Picture: Channel 4)
In order to do that though they’re going to have to stay in the game long enough to make their case – and it doesn’t look good considering within the first 24 hours, Woody and Ella had their suspicions raised.
After failing to say names of any bands who were at Reading Festival despite claiming to have been there, they also couldn’t describe that sherry tasted like.
Brooke has also begun to smell a rat, though human lie detector Tim has somehow managed to remain convinced.
Will they be able to pull it off and manage to keep their hands off each other in the process?
The Circle continues weeknights and Sundays at 10pm on Channel 4.

Catherine Tyldesley hid from the winter weather as she left Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals on Thursday, days after receiving a shower of eights for her romantic rumba.
Returning to the dance studio to get rehearsing for her week 4 dance – a seriously intriguing Charleston to Beyoncé’s Single Ladies – the 36-year-old actress found herself caught in a downpour of rain as she left the practice room.
See, that’s London weather for you.
Wearing a comfy outfit befitting a long day of swivel kicks and flicks (we know our Strictly stuff), the actress sported a pair of comfy white trainer and black leggings as she departed the studio.
Clearly packing for the week ahead, the former Coronation Street star carried a large turquoise suitcase and cross-body Gucci handbag while giving a nod to her Mancunian roots with a yellow bag emblazoned with the city’s iconic bee print.
Sheltering from the rain, Catherine pulled a large checked scarf over her head, giving us major Halloween costume inspo: E.T., anyone?
Summer, come back! (Picture: CRHA/DASA/Backgrid)
If Catherine told us this was a new fashion trend we’d probably believe her (Picture: CRHA/DASA/Backgrid)
After receiving 32 points for her heart-warming rumba to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s Shallow, we expect that the mother-of-one is being put through her paces by professional partner Johannes Radebe ahead of her next performance on Saturday.
Can we just watch this on repeat please? (Picture: Guy Levy/BBC/PA)
Previously, the mother-of-one admitted that she had to take anti-sickness tablets during training, after her week 1 Viennese Waltz left her feeling extremely dizzy.
After all the glitz and glam of Movie Week, the remaining celebrities will be returning to their normal dancing this week, but are promising some pretty special performances.
Mike and Katya quickstepping to Come On Eileen? It doesn’t get much better than that!
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.

The 48-year-old – who plays Cameron Tucker in the comedy – told Metro.co.uk exclusively: ‘It’s great, that’s my home.
‘I’m so happy I get to do that job. And I’m so thankful for the last 10 years of doing that. We’re just tying things up out there and wrapping things up.
‘And we’re taking a long, slow goodbye, here with our crew and our cast. They’ve become friends and family, so it’s nice to have a nice send-off for the show.
‘I hope the audience appreciates the final season.’
We absolutely will.

We miss the Modern Family gang already (Picture: Rex)
And Eric – who also stars as Duke in Secret Life Of Pets – has revealed he will be taking a short break from the limelight when the show comes to an end, as his next project will have a lot to live up to.
‘I foresee a little bit of a break, just hanging out and enjoying and relaxing. Having some time figuring out what the next chapter will be for me,’ he continued.
‘I’m 48-years-old, and been in the business for a long time. But I’m sure I’ll come up with something that I want to do and I’m sure people will come up with things they’d like to see me do and then we’ll just find the balance of what is exciting for me to do and what people are excited for me to do. And just find something that resonates with that.
‘Modern Family is a lot to live up to and we’re probably never going to find a better half-hour sitcom show to be on so I’ll probably have to turn elsewhere to be creative, because it’s been such a joy to do that show.’

Anyone else need a tissue?
The Modern Family gang have developed a strong bond in the last 10 years the show has been on air, celebrating huge milestones together and basically being all kinds of friendship goals.
Ahead of the SLOP2 DVD release, he said: ‘‘I don’t know what they’re going to do [about a sequel]. I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m sure they’re talking about whether they want to do another one or not.
‘It’s a great group of people. It’s a great cast, it’s a great company. So of course, I would love to do it.’
When asked which famous faces he would love to join Duke and Max (Patton Oswalt) on their next adventure, he added: ‘Maybe my co-star Sofia Vergara would be good as a dog? She would be great.’
This needs to happen, ASAP.

Sophie Turner became subject to Game Of Thrones trolling while attending an NFL match after showing her allegiance to the Chicago Bears.
The 23-year-old actress, who plays Sansa Stark, turned up for the NFL match on Sunday (6 October) in London which saw the Chicago Bears face the Oakland Raiders.
Sophie made her presence known by posting a video on the Chicago Bears social channels, saying: ‘To all the Bears fans, I’m here, I’m repping you, shout-out Chicago Bears.’
Unfortunately for Sophie, the Bears lost out to the Oakland Raiders 24-21, which prompted some casual shade from the winning team’s social channels.
Sharing Sophie’s video, the Raiders tweeted: ‘That game had a better finish than Thrones.’
Game Of Thrones came to a controversial end in May this year, sparking fan petitions which called for the show’s final episodes to be remade.
The cast have since been subject to many questions about the quality of season eight, most noticeably at San Diego Comic Con– which showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss pulled out of two days prior back in July.

Despite the backlash, the show recently picked up two Emmys on the night after a whopping 32 nominations, winning Best Drama Series and Best Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister.
Focus is now turning towards the planned spin-offs in the pipeline, which include a show set in the Age Of Heroes and one revolved around Targaryen history.
Game Of Thrones is available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
Creators Charlie and Daisy May Cooper revealed that Michael had hoped to feature in the upcoming new chapter and explained they’ve honoured his wishes.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, the siblings opened up on how difficult it was to continue the comedy without Michael.
‘It was tough having to do it without him because he’s such a huge part of the show both on-screen and behind-the-scenes,’ Charlie told us.
‘He embodied the spirit of the whole thing, so his absence was really hard. He had such a great sense of humour.’
Daisy and Charlie have paid tribute to Michael in the upcoming third series (Picture: BBC)
Daisy added: ‘He definitely wanted to be in it. He wanted it to be funny.
‘His family really wanted that and [said] that we should mention it [his death] in a funny way. I hope that we’ve made him proud.’
She also confirmed that they’ve paid tribute to Michael in the best way and enthused: ‘We’ve honoured him in the ultimate Slugs fashion.’
Charlie and Daisy have recently published This Is This Country, a book that is based on the Bafta-winning series.
There’s now a This Country book (Picture: BBC)
Speaking about the book’s inception, Daisy revealed: ‘It came about because there was so much great stuff from writing the last three series that we never used.
‘A lot of this is our favourite favourite stuff.’
Charlie added: ‘We started writing the show in 2011 and in that time there has been so much stuff that we haven’t been able to use so it was really nice to find a home for it.
‘And also lots of new stuff could be written in.’
One of their combined favourite parts of the publication is Kerry Mucklowe’s mum’s autobiography. Yep, we desperately need to get our hands on it too!
‘It goes into the details of when she met Martin and when Kerry was born,’ Charlie teased.
‘We were in your living room killing ourselves laughing at our jokes,’ Daisy recalled.
This Is This Country is available now.

Where did the characters of Breaking Bad end up? (Picture: AMC)
Warning: Contains spoilers for Breaking Bad, obviously.
Breaking Bad is back in the spotlight with the release of follow-up movie El Camino, but it’s perhaps been a while since your last encounter with Walter White and co.
The new Netflix movie picks up directly after events in Breaking Bad season five, which saw Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) drive to freedom after escaping his white supremacist captors.
Considering the show began way back in 2008, concluding in September 2013, you might be left scratching your heads when it comes to remembering where exactly the characters ended up.
Need a refresher? Here’s what happened to the key characters in Breaking Bad after the season five finale.
Walter White
Walter White at the end of Breaking Bad (Picture: AMC)
Walter White (Bryan Cranston) died from a gunshot wound inflicted during his assault on Jack Welker’s (Michael Bowen) hideout, after mowing down his white supremacist supporters with a modified M60 machine gun.
Walter shoots Jack in the face, similarly to how Jack killed Hank (Dean Norris), allowing a captured Jesse Pinkman to escape. As Jesse gets out of his handcuffs, Walt passes the gun to Jesse and tells him to shoot him. Jesse, in tears, refuses unless Walt tells him he wants it.
Walt assures Jesse he wants to die, but Jesse drops the gun. It’s argued Jesse notices Walt’s gunshot wound and tells Walter to ‘do it himself’, although it could be seen as Jesse finally breaking away from Walter’s grip over him once and for all, leaving on his own terms.
After telling Lydia (Laura Fraser) he poisoned her with ricin over the phone and seeing Jesse depart, Walter enters Jack’s meth lab and looks nostalgically over the equipment, before he dies on the floor as the police arrive.
Jesse Pinkman
Jesse Pinkman flees Jack’s compound at the end of season five (Picture: AMC)
In season five, Jesse is kidnapped by white supremacists and forced to cook meth for leader Jack, who is the uncle of Walter White’s drug distributor Todd (Jesse Plemons).
After the death of Jesse’s girlfriend Jane (Krysten Ritter) back in season two, Jesse is dealt another heartbreaking blow after he refuses to cook anymore meth for Jack’s group. As punishment for his refusal and trying to escape, Todd forces Jesse to watch as he kills his girlfriend Andrea (Emily Rios) with a silenced pistol at her home, sparing her kid Brock (Ian Posada). What happens to Brock after the death of his mother is unknown.
After Walt invades the compound and rescues Jesse from captivity, killing Jack and Todd in the process, Jesse gets in Todd’s El Camino car, where he’s seen laughing and crying hysterically as he drives to freedom.
Skyler, Walter White Jr, and Holly
Walter White Jr splits up Skyler and Walter from fighting (Picture: AMC)
After assisting Walter White in his crimes, Skyler (Anna Gunn) is interrogated by the DEA for information on him. Later that night, she is ambushed by Todd and the neo-nazi group, who warn her not to say anything about Lydia’s involvement in Walt’s activities after meeting her previously.
Skyler is later forced to move to an apartment with daughter Holly and Walter Jr (RJ Mitte) after all her assets are seized by the DEA. She takes a job as a taxi dispatcher.
Walt meets Skyler one last time, where he confesses he built his drug empire for his own enjoyment and not to help the family, contrary to what he always claimed. Skyler lets Walter hold Holly one last time, before he hands Skyler a lottery ticket with the coordinates for Hank and Gomez’s burial site – presumably so she can strike a deal with the DEA for her freedom.
After discovering the truth about his father, Walt Jr can’t bring himself to forgive him for his crimes. In their last exchange over phone, Walt Jr yells at his father, ‘You killed Uncle Hank!’ repeatedly, before telling him to go die himself.
Walt Jr is last seen as Walter notices him walking back home from school to their new apartment. Realising he doesn’t want anything to do with him, Walt leaves him alone.
Hank and Marie Schrader
Marie and Hank watching Walt’s confession is one of the show’s best scenes (Picture: AMC)
Hank is executed by Jack during a confrontation in the desert, along with his partner Steven Gomez (Steven Michael Quezada).
Hank’s wife Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt), unaware of his death, forces Skyler to admit everything to her son Walt Jr, which encourages Skyler to turn against Walter in order to protect her family.
Marie finds out about Hank’s death from Walter over the phone, while she attempts to comfort the family when he runs off with daughter Holly. As the Schrader household is searched for Jesse Pinkman’s confession tape evidence, Marie is sent to a safehouse following concerns for her safety.
It’s believed Skyler and Marie broke off contact following the incident, with Marie’s last moments on the show seeing her warn Skyler that Walter White is back in the area over the phone, telling her to keep safe.
Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman
Walter White and Saul Goodman had one last chat (Picture: Ursula Coyote/AMC)
After Heisenberg’s identity is revealed, Saul is given a new identity and heads off to Nebraska to protect his own skin.
Before he departs, he encounters Walter White one last time who is also waiting to be extracted from New Mexico. As Walter tries to convince Saul to stay together, he refuses, which prompts an angry outburst.
His attempt at intimidating Saul is cut short, however, by a coughing fit due to his cancer, which prompts Saul to say, ‘it’s over’, before he heads out for his new life. His future is later explored in spin-off Better Call Saul, where he works at a shopping mall under the name Gene Takovic.
Mike Ehrmantraut
Mike had a tragic end (Picture: AMC)
Mike is killed by Walter White after the latter blames him for everything which has gone wrong in the aftermath of Gus Fring’s death – enraging Walter to the point where he shoots him.
Mike manages to make his way towards the river bank with a bullet wound, before Walter tries to apologise. ‘Shut the f**k up, and let me die in peace,’ Mike replies, as he passes away by the river.
Skinny Pete and Badger
Badger and Skinny Pete will be back for El Camino (Picture: AMC)
Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Brandon ‘Badger’ Mayhew (Matthew Lee Jones) are Jesse’s close friends who assist with the distribution of drugs.
In season five, Badger and Skinny Pete help Walter trick Elliott and Gretchen Schwartz into believing he had hired hitmen to track them, ensuring they give his fortune to Walt Jr.
Tim is one of The Circle’s most loveable contestants but viewers have discovered a tragic story from his past (Picture: Channel 4)
The Circle favourite Tim hasn’t elaborated much about his personal life on the show – but it’s now been discovered that his partner was the victim of a harrowing homophobic tragedy.
Viewers have seen Tim make sporadic mention of his partner throughout the series. He previously revealed on the show that they arrived in the UK just in time for the legalisation of civil partnerships.
But eagle-eyed fans have managed to discover the identity of the 58-year-old’s spouse and discovered a horrible truth about his past.
Warning: The following video contains distressing content.
Necati, who is Turkish, was forced to travel to Crete in 2001. He boarded a boat from Istanbul that was due to travel to Italy, but the vessel was intercepted by Greek coastguards and he was detained along with 100 other migrants and routinely tortured.
In the clip, which was posted in 2017 by the charity Redress, he bravely discusses the harrowing details of being sexually assaulted by Greek officials.
‘My life is like before torture and after torture,’ he said.
‘I can’t describe…the physical effects can be healed but the mental effects..I can’t explain.’
Tim hasnt revealed much about his personal life on the programme Picture: Channel 4)
The video reports that the case was brought before the European Court of Human Rights and in January 2012, the Greek government was ordered to pay Necati the equivalent of £44,000.
Tim has previously said in The Circle that the couple met in Greece and moved to the UK just in time to get married in a civil partnership, which was legalised here in 2005.
The couple has been together for 19 years in total and now live in Rugby with their two cats.

Coleen, in a dramatic statement posted to her social media, said that she had rumbled the I’m A Celeb star after blocking everyone on her private Instagram from viewing her stores apart from her.
The stories the mother-of-four would put up were purposefully fake, and of course, only one person was allegedly able to view them, and so the trap was set. Rebekah Vardy has categorically denied her involvement in any of the events Coleen has described.
The internet has already pretty much exploded with the gossip-laden news and even American sites offering explainers on who they both are. But we’re dreaming of an epic TV adaption of the events created by Ryan Murphy and are speaking it into existence.
We’ve had Feud: Betty and Joan, now it’s time for Feud: Coleen and Rebekah.
But who could join the dream cast? We’ve had a little think:
Jodie Comer as Coleen Rooney
From Killing Eve to breaking the internet? (Picture: BACKGRID/Netflix)
She’s already won all the awards playing international assassin Villanelle, and we’re sensing a similar clean-up in the future for Jodie Comer’s portrayal of investigative journalist extraordinaire Coleen Rooney.
As is proven today, the actress taking on this multi-faceted role must have the range to play the long-game – imagine Comer’s Rooney in episode one twigging that something’s up with her private Instagram before the secret is blown and she drafts up her expose in the series finale.
Plus, both Comer and Rooney are Scousers, so she’s already got the accent sorted.
Lea Michele as Rebekah Vardy
Every great heroine needs a great villain…(Picture: REX/Getty)
TV loves an anti-hero. Jamie Lannister. Walter White. And now…Rebekah Vardy.
We’re not afraid to say that the term ‘It’s……..Rebekah Vardy’s account’ will now haunt us until our dying day, so we need an actress with an undeniable on-screen presence to bring this now mythical figure to life.
Who better than Lea Michele? She cut her teeth on Glee, so we know she has the acting chops for high drama. Even her role in the underrated Scream Queens teetered from an ingenue to a full-blown serial killer; so she can definitely handle the transition as Vardy goes from loving best friend to (possible) Instagram stalker and suspected seller of fake private stories to the tabloid press.
Nicholas Hoult as Jamie Vardy
Nicholas Hoult is one of our most charismatic exports as an actor, and since Jamie Vardy is one the most charismatic footballers of the past decade, we see this as a good fit.
The only question is; how will he play it?
Of course, a showdown between the two husbands has to happen in the show and who better to play Wayne Rooney than….
Tom Hardy as Wayne Rooney
Please let this happen. Please. (Pictures: REX/Getty)
IMAGINE.
Just..imagine.
Emma Watson as Cheryl Cole
From Beauty and the Beast to bops, it’s Emma Watson as Cheryl Cole (Picture: REX)
A star of British cinema portraying British pop royalty?
Emma Watson is our choice to play Cheryl Cole – a former WAG dragged back into a world she thought she escaped when one of her friends needs help.
Cheryl Cole, love her or hate her, is a truly magnetic presence wherever she goes, and who better to fill in for a national sweetheart than one of the most popular actresses of her generation? We’re already dying to hear her attempt at that Newcastle drawl.
Sarah Paulson as Danielle Lloyd
Sarah Paulson as a WAG? Something we never thought we’d see (Picture: REX)
Yes, this is a Ryan Murphy drama so Sarah Paulson has to turn up somewhere, and where better in such an unexpected place as Coleen’s bestie?
Imagine the chemistry Comer and Paulson could share on the screen as Danielle and Cheryl pop over to the Rooneys for a spot of afternoon prosecco and the creation of some fake Instagram stories.
Jessica Lange as Victoria Beckham
From one icon to the next – Jessica Lange as Victoria Beckham (Picture: REX)
Of course, in her hour of need Coleen is going to have to seek comfort and advice from an old friend – and who better than one of the most iconic and battle-hardened WAGs in the game played by a genuine icon of stage and screen?
You know that Ryan Murphy loves a bit of stunt-casting as well, imagine the episode where Coleen, Cheryl and Danielle take an incognito visit to Victoria’s flagship London store to discuss their next move?
Who better to be stood in the middle of a completely empty white room, black sunglasses covering most of her face and wearing that signature icy expression than Jessica Lange?
And before you ask, it is going to take an actress of monumental talent to accurately portray a being as multifaceted as the VB, so Lange is our one and only choice. She has the range!
Feud: Coleen and Rebekha will (hopefully) come to TV soon.

Netflix hit Riverdale is about to emerge from the darkness for a fourth season (Picture: The CW)
Riverdale fans don’t have long to wait for the return of the Archie Comics-inspired series, which is about to be released on Netflix for a fourth season.
There was a poignant undercurrent to the final three episodes of series three, which were dedicated to the memory of Luke Perry, who had starred in the show since its first series in 2017.
Perry played Archie’s father, Fred Andrews, until the actor died earlier this year at the age of 52.
The opening seconds of the trailer for the series show Archie receiving the news of his father’s death. Want to know when you can watch the new episodes? Read on…
When is Riverdale season 4 on Netflix?
Following the raucous, occasionally uneven entertainment Riverdale provided last time out, season four is back on Netflix in the UK on Thursday, October 10.
As well as dealing with the death of Perry, the new series catches up with Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick), who was last seen helping the FBI potentially investigate cultish group The Farm.
Writing to more than 526,000 followers on Instagram, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said: ‘It’s an episode that’s bursting with sadness, but even more so with love.
‘I’m humbled by the outstanding, heroic work everyone did on it. I hope you like it, Luke. As Archie says about his dad, “You will always be a part of Riverdale.”‘
Shannen Doherty, who starred alongside Perry in Beverly Hills: 90210 and was a friend of the late actor, has said she is ‘deeply honoured’ to be one of the guest stars in the new series.
Riverdale season 4 is on Netflix from 8am on Thursday, October 10.
Louis Walsh trashes Cheryl: ‘She could only win X Factor by miming’ (Picture: Getty/Rex/Metro.co.uk)
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has reignited his feud with Cheryl Tweedy after he said she could only win the show if she mimed.
And to rub salt into the wound the music manager laughed off claims that Cheryl would be invited back by Simon Cowell to be a judge in the latest series.
Celebrity X Factor will hit our screens this Saturday and will see performances from the likes of Megan McKenna and Ricki Lake.
Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger will all be returning as judges for the hit ITV show – although Cheryl won’t be making a comeback.
Cheryl and Louis have endured a strained relationship for over a decade, which first kicked off when Louis managed Girls Aloud from 2002 to 2004.
It sparked Cheryl’s lengthy disdain for the Irishman and there is no love lost between the pair.
Louis Walsh says Cheryl couldn’t win the show unless she mimed (Picture: Stephen Crawshaw/BACKGRID)
However, Louis, 67, turned on Cheryl when asked if he was surprised that she hadn’t been snapped up as a judge.
Louis, who first sat on the judging panel with Cheryl in 2008, said: ‘You mean as a contestant? She would be good. She could even win it.’
And when asked if the former Girls Aloud singer would have to mime to wine it Louis added: ‘Cheryl doesn’t mime.
‘It’s called lip-syncing.’
There’s no love lost here (Picture: SYCO/THAMES TV)
Louis last appeared as a judge on the X Factor with pal Simon in 2017, having replaced axed judge Nick Grimshaw the year before.
Then in 2018, he decided to step down and Louis Tomlinson had a shot at the role.
It has also since emerged that Louis left the show in 2012 because he was handed a massive payout by Simon Cowell.
He admitted to Daily Star Online his decision to walk away was simply due to him being ‘paid off’ rather than an epic row behind the scenes.
We have reached out for a comment from Cheryl’s reps to see what she says about this.

Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke will reunite on The Graham Norton Show (Picture: Getty)
Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke will be reunited with former co-star Jason Momoa.
The actors will be guests on The Graham Norton Show on 25 October.
Instead of chatting all things Westeros (although we have a feeling that might come up anyway) they will be promoting their latest projects.
Jason will star in the futuristic TV series See, while Emilia is already creating a buzz with her festive film Last Christmas.
Emilia is best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen on Game Of Thrones, the one time lover of Jason’s character Khal Drogo.
In season one Daenerys and Drogo fell madly in love, but it was cut brutally short when a festering arrow wound caused Drogo to fall into a coma.

The Mother of Dragons didn’t fare much better in the end, as she was murdered by her lover Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who feared she would become a tyrant if she took the Iron Throne.
We can’t wait to hear Emilia’s reaction to how her character’s story played out in what was a controversial season.
The actors have remained good friends despite only being in one season together, so it will be a treat to see them share a screen once again – as themselves this time.

The presenter and his dance partner Amy Dowden were unable to rehearse for their upcoming performance as poor Karim has ‘the lurgy’ as was explained on It Takes Two.
But she also expressed concern that they both have a lot of work to do to make sure they’re ready for their fierce tango on Saturday night.
She told host Zoe Ball: ‘He’s so disappointed not to be here. We’re a day down and he’s had a busy work schedule so we haven’t been able to put in hours.
‘We’ve still got a lot to do technically, and I’ve gotta try and get the smile off his face. Hopefully he’s feeling better and he can go for it.’
Zoe revealed on the show that Karim’s mum had rustled up some meatballs to help her son feel better, and handed the dish over to Amy to make sure Karim got them.
Karim is currently one of the favourites to lift the glitterball this year after some impressive performances.
Will he be fighting fit by Saturday? (Picture: PA)
After the second week of Strictly the pair topped the leaderboard with a fabulous 32 points for their foxtrot, getting some glowing feedback from the judges – particularly Shirley Ballas.
Not only that, Karim’s odds of lifting the glitterball trophy have been slashed, bringing him closer to the current favourite, Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.
Karim will have to stop being so smiley to put on a passionate tango with Amy this weekend.
Their routine will be to Paradise by George Ezra, which will hopefully give them a boost on the leaderboard after a disheartening score last week for their Kung Fu Panda inspired dance.
Amy said she tried not to pay too much attention to scoring and just make sure Karim enjoys himself.
She told Zoe: ‘I told him he did everything I asked of him. I thought he was a brilliant panda and this is the most incredible journey and all I want for him is to have fun and have the best time.
‘When we came off he said I had the best time out there and that’s all I want for him.’
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.

Ricki Lake brought a special friend to the X Factor launch (Picture: PA)
The stars of The X Factor Celebrity were out in force at the show’s launch on Wednesday.
Stars from Love Island, Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing walked the red carpet to promote the special version of the singing contest.
Also posing for the cameras was US talk show host Ricki Lake, who was nearly upstaged by her adorable four-legged companion.
Ricki looked amazing as expected with her cute dog in her arms, being very well-behaved.
Love Island stars Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker, Zara McDermott and Wes Nelson were there on the day to talk up their group The Islanders – even if Wes can’t stand the name.
Megan McKenna was all smiles for the camera amid her possible success on the show, hinted at by recent pictures of her welcoming judge Louis Walsh to her home as they filmed scenes together.
The X Factor will look a bit different to the usual series – besides the famous contestants.

In the new series viewers won’t get to see with the boot camp stage or the incredibly tense six chair challenge.
The six chair challenge saw the judges whittle down which acts they were going to take through to judges’ houses by offering them a ‘chair’ in their line up of finalists.
It’s likely this part has been thrown out as there aren’t enough contestants to make the six chair challenge enough of a battle.
Has Jenny Ryan got pipes? (Picture: REX)
Judge Nicole Scherzinger bringing it as usual (Picture: REX)
Louis explained: ‘What we’re doing this year I think is a brilliant idea. I think everyone’s going to love watching these celebrities because it’s not what people expect.
‘Some of them are really good. The show feels more exciting. There’s no Bootcamp, no Six-Chair Challenge, it feels slick this year.
‘It’s been the best show on TV for a long time and has just had a little rebranding, I suppose, a new X Factor.’
The music manager joins Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger on the judges’ panel.
A new trailer for the show saw Simon, Nicole and Louis listening to the celebs do their thing in a luxury Hollywood venue, which we think is a fair replacement for judges’ houses.
Reality TV star Megan, Glee’s Kevin McHale, EastEnders’ Jonny Labey will all be competing in the Unders category. The Overs is comprised of journalist Martin Bashir, actress Victoria Ekanoye and TV presenter Ricki.
In the groups will be a Love Island supergroup comprised of Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker and Zara McDermott. Ben Foden, Thom Evans and Levi Davis will be teaming up for a group, along with Brendan Cole and Jeremy Edwards.
The X Factor Celebrity starts Saturday at 8.35pm on ITV.

Sian Gabbidon and Lord Sugar’s business partnership has gone swimmingly since she won The Apprentice (Picture: Victoria Jones/PA Wire)
As The Apprentice series 15 continues, one of its keenest followers is Lord Sugar’s business partner and former series star Sian Gabbidon, who was the winner in 2018.
The 26-year-old is a passionate ambassador for the hugely popular BBC series, hosting her own Apprentice podcast, called The Wake Up Call.
The show talks ‘all things business’ and has featured early guests including Camilla Ainsworth, who became The Apprentice’s youngest ever finalist in 2018.
Apart from her burgeoning taste for broadcasting, what is the businesswoman up to now? Let’s take a look…
I DID IT… & what an absolute rollercoaster it’s been, overwhelmed and still can’t believe it – I’m ready and excited to start the https://t.co/UzNq9yXrg6 journey with @Lord_Sugar thankyou for ALL of your support throughout ❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/1wXzxZwa9v
Born in Leeds in 1992, Sian Gabbidon had already founded her business, Sian Marie, before her ultimately victorious bid to win The Apprentice.
Gabbidon named Coco Chanel as one of her heroes, citing the iconic French designer’s rags-to-riches achievements as an inspiration.
Despite failing to make the grade for Leeds United Women because of her reluctance to head the ball, she said her ambition was to ‘make a splash’ with Lord Sugar from the outset after being picked to appear on The Apprentice.
That ambition took Gabbidon all the way to the final last December, where she pipped fellow finalist Ainsworth to win the series and score a partnership with the famous boardroom billionaire.
What is the 2018 winner of The Apprentice doing now?
The partnership with Lord Sugar seems to have been a success so far, allowing Gabbidon to expand her business into partywear, apparel and swim pieces to ‘accentuate curves’ and ’empower’ fashion fans.
Fellow reality TV figures, including stars from The Only Way is Essex and Love Island, feature prominently on the company’s website, posing in some of the shimmering pieces from the collection.
When Gabbidon launched one of her fashion lines’ first ever modest swimsuit earlier this year, she called the response ‘amazing’, saying: ‘I can’t believe how poor the market is in providing stylish modest wear.’
Two months after its June launch, Lord Sugar told his following of more than five million people on Twitter that the swimsuit was ‘still selling well.’

Gabbidon’s boyfriend, Clint Gordon, is no stranger to high-end fashion himself, sharing a house with her in Leeds while working as a model and appearing on TV.
As well as showing an impressive work ethic that often sees her at work before sunrise, Gabbidon has taken time out to enjoy herself in her first year as winner of The Apprentice.
She has enjoyed holidays to idyllic locations including Ibiza and Miami, taken trips to see the latest films at the cinema and shared her business expertise at a range of industry events.
Speaking to her fanbase of more than 72,000 followers on Instagram, Gabbidon recently revealed she will be hosting this year’s National Reality TV Awards.
Lord Sugar has compared librarian Lottie Lion to a fine wine following the first episode of The Apprentice (Picture: BBC/PA)
Lottie Lion entered The Apprentice as the BBC hit’s youngest ever contestant, promising to build an empire and give extremely short shrift to those she perceives as fools or timewasters.
So it’s perhaps not surprise to see the 19-year-old from Somerset earning many of the headlines in the first week of the new series while contributing to the brand of divisive drama beloved of fans of The Apprentice.
It’s early days in the race for the £250,000 prize, but how much do we know about Lottie Lion? Here’s a look at what we’ve learned so far…
Who is Lottie Lion and how did she get to be on The Apprentice 2019?
Born to a Belgian family in North Devon, Lottie moved to a farm outside Dulverton where she showed her entrepreneurial verve by setting up a car-cleaning business as a 12-year-old before studying at Richard Huish College.
Having moved to Taunton, where the college is based, she worked as a librarian at Bishop Fox’s School, also setting up a national members’ club for ladies in the countryside.
‘We are a socially elite members’ club,’ she has explained. ‘I brand it as that but it’s more a luxury, an experience.
‘We’re open to the majority of females unless they are awful company, in which case we don’t really want that. I’m friendly, I’m chatty, I like to think that I’m approachable, but I don’t see any point in carrying dead weight on my journey to the top.’
Lottie’s application to The Apprentice was fuelled by drinking wine while watching TV, and she is said to have forgotten about her interest in the show until she was chosen as one of 600 applicants to take part in auditions.
Once the shortlist had been narrowed down to 70 potential contestants, she passed a day of screen tests and a psychological assessment.
She felt she should have led the task and had some noticeably testy moments with the other women on her team, but was praised by Lord Sugar for her role in the challenge.
Does Lottie from The Apprentice know Lord Sugar?
As well as denying accusations of racism after comments from the cast’s WhatsApp group leaked online, Lottie has been linked to Apprentice top dog Lord Sugar amid suggestions that her father’s company can access the billionaire for speaking engagements.
Dominique Lion runs Leaders for Business, but a spokesman for Lord Sugar insisted to The Mirror: ‘He doesn’t know him. He has never heard of him. There’s no connection between them.’
Lottie frequently posts photos of herself living the high life on social media (Picture: Instagram / lottie.lion)
Lord Sugar, meanwhile, has made no personal mention of the claims, instead offering a typically curt observation on Lottie’s early impact as a candidate.
He tweeted: ‘Lottie is like a fine wine bouquet. It seems she gets up everyone’s nose.’

It’s been confirmed that the Steps singer has been paired up with professional dancer Matt Evers for the forthcoming series that will begin on ITV in January.
‘Totally overwhelmed today… I’ll need some time to just take it all in!!’ H wrote to his Instagram followers alongside a selfie.
‘I’m just totally blown away by your incredible support and messages! Thank you so much, truly xx.’
A source told Metro.co.uk last night that H had asked Dancing On Ice bosses whether he could be matched with a professional of the same gender.
‘After conversations with the Dancing on Ice production team, H enquired as to the possibility of being paired with a male pro skater,’ they said.
The insider continued: ‘Dancing on Ice were fully supportive of a same-sex partnership and as such this year H will be paired with Matt Evers.’
During the 2018 series, former judge Jason Gardiner backed the call for same-sex couples to join the rink.
‘I’m sure ITV would have no problem with embracing it,’ he said. ‘It would be great to have a same-sex couple.’
However, the panelist, who has now been replaced by John Barrowman, was quick to add that those in a same-sex partnership may have their work cut out for them.
Jason explained: ‘When you’ve got two men, generally you’ve got similar heights and weights. ‘That’s when it starts getting difficult. It’s very difficult to put somebody your own size above your head.’
The upcoming 2020 series of Dancing On Ice will see the return of Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo to the panel, and This Morning duo Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby as hosts.
The star-studded line-up was confirmed earlier this month, with the likes of Caprice Bourret and Trisha Goddard donning their skates.
Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January 2020.

James McVey and Nick Knowles take part in a Bushtucker Trial on the show last year (Picture: Rex/Shutterstock)
Chris Packham writes to I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! bosses ‘every year’ about their use of animals on the show.
I’m A Celeb is known for its bushtucker trials, which often involve celebrities being doused in or dining on insects.
The Springwatch presenter is keen to talk to show bosses about how they include animals in the future, accusing them of ‘stereotyping’ snakes and cockroaches and ‘using these animals for entertainment’.
He told Metro.co.uk: ‘The time I spend making TV programmes I’m trying to engender an affinity for life. It’s not just about the cute and the cuddly, it’s about everything because everything is necessary. So it’s about snakes it’s about spiders, it’s about cockroaches.
‘What I object to on the programme is the ongoing stereotyping of these animals as being things which are dirty, disgusting, poisonous dangerous and so on and so forth. And that’s counter productive to everything that I do.
‘We don’t have wild animals in the circus any more, we don’t like animals being used for that sort of entertainment any more. So why would we countenance it on a TV programme?
‘I plan to write them another letter saying, “can I come and talk to you, can we come up with a solution whereby your programme is no less entertaining and popular and you don’t stereotype and abuse animals?”.’

The 2015 series was hit with 1000 complaints after Ferne McCann ate a live spider during the final.
Chris, 58, is fronting the Smart Energy GB campaign to explore the vital role that energy efficiency can play in protecting the environment.
The campaign aims to help people become more energy efficient by installing a smart meter.
Chris feels that people shouldn’t rely on politicians to solve the issue of energy efficient.
‘As much as we need government action here I think we need to figure out how to do things ourselves. A lot of people are aware of the climate problems and want to do something but they’ve got to be empowered to do it, and this one of the simplest things,’ he explained.
‘A lot of people think that if we’re gonna achieve our carbon zero by 2050 or 2025 as Extinction Rebellion are demanding, we’ll have to live in a cave and chew carrot. That isn’t the case.
‘I’m excited by the fact we’ve got these new technologies that will allow us to maintain the quality of our lives and improve it while addressing this really very serious issue.’
Chris Packham is raising awareness of the #missingpiece and encouraging everyone to act by getting a smart meter installed.

Greg Rutherford made a massive blunder on Celebrity MasterChef as the competition heats up.
With just three celebrities left in the competition, Greg, Vicky Pattison and Neil Ruddock needed to be on their A-game.
At the start of Wednesday’s show they had to serve judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode a plate of food that had a personal connection, and showcased the skills they have picked up on their journey so far.
Greg’s dish, inspired by family holidays in the Alps, was made up of roast rump of lamb with Jerusalem artichoke puree, roasted parsnips and pan fried sweet breads.
When it came to judging time, Greg was let down by one key element of his dish.
John praised his lamb and the ‘earthy’ puree but added: ‘The sweetbreads needed to be cooked more. They’re very soft in the middle. Almost like a paste.’

Gregg added: ‘Your flavours are superb. Your cooking of the lamb and the making of the sauce and the puree is fantastic. So much to admire on there but the sweetbreads are a problem.’
The athlete explained that lamb was one of the first things he cooked to try and impress his wife. Unfortunately she wasn’t a fan but didn’t want to hurt his feelings, so she stuffed it in her handbag instead.

Boxer Dillian Whyte was sent home early in the show for undercooking his meringue creation.
The remaining celebs went on to the Chef’s Table round that saw former Geordie Shore star Vicky excel at her lobster dish.
Just one more round remains between the celebs and the MasterChef trophy – who will rise to the top?
Celebrity MasterChef continues Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.

The Apprentice 2019 contestants aren’t allowed to be in a WhatsApp group (Picture: BBC)
The Apprentice contestants have been banned from group messaging each other on WhatsApp after Lottie Lion’s ‘racist’ text was revealed to the public.
According to recently fired candidate Kenna Ngoma, instead of keeping up to date with each other over the texting service, the 2019 intake have to reach out to one another over social media.
Kenna exclusively told Metro.co.uk that the group’s WhatsApp chat was ‘shutdown’ and no longer exists, going on to explain: ‘We just weren’t allowed to be honest.
‘We were being naughty to be honest. It’s fine [for us] to interact on social media, so we all just agreed to stay in contact on there.’
He added: ‘You can see on social media we’re always supporting each other, liking each other’s tweets, commenting. I’m friends with most of them.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted The Apprentice for comment.
Axed hopeful Kenna (right) revealed the ban (Picture: BBC)
The 19-year-old hopeful was thrown into a media storm after telling Lubna Farhan – whose parents hail from Pakistan – to ‘Shut up Gandhi’.
Mahatma Gandhi led the fight for India’s independence from Great Britain in 1947.
Lottie Lion released a statement after her messages were leaked (Picture: BBC)
According to The Sun, Lottie claimed she’d never spoken to a black person before, which Lubna debunked by sending a picture of the candidate with a friend alongside the dig: ‘I thought she’d never met a “black person”.’
‘Seriously f*** off Lubna before I f****** knock you out at our press training,’ Lottie wrote back.
‘Lubna I f****** swear if you disrespect me again I will f*** you up, you embarrassing failure of a businesswoman.’
Then she added: ‘Shut up Ghandi (sic) that doesn’t even make sense.’
Lottie released a statement via PA after the messages became public, which read: ‘My use of the word Gandhi was misinterpreted, it was as candidates in the group chat had been quoting Gandhi previously.
‘The comments were taken out of context, and I ask the public not to make judgment without knowing the full context. ‘At the moment, I would like my focus to be on the show, and I’m not interested in negative media attention.’
On top of that, Kenna lifted the lid on behind-the-scenes antics between all the candidates.
‘The boys got on really well together I think. We had a camaraderie. We all got on,’ he said.
‘The boys got on with most of the girls as well, but the girls didn’t get on well with the girls.’
The Apprentice continues Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
