First-look trailer of Our Man In Japan: James May calls Japanese teacher ‘deodorant’ by mistake

James May accidentally called a Japanese teacher ‘deodorant’ by mistake in a first look trailer of his new series Our Man In Japan.

The 56-year-old presenter departed for the Far East back in March to shoot the brand new six-episode show, which sees him travel the globe and discover unique cultures.

While he learns about the culture and the language, poor James attempts to say ‘Sensai’ which means teacher in Japanese, however, the poor host got it so wrong as he ended up pronouncing it a different way – which actually meant deodorant.

In a first-look clip of the series, James starts by trying some of the culinary delights while travelling on a train (except he’s gets told off for eating the food).

The presenter is told that he has to wait to eat his lunch because ‘other media want to film it’ to which he responds: ‘They want to film my lunch, why can’t they get their own bloody lunch?’

You will see James travel across Japan on a bike, car, plane, train, and go-kart…yes you heard that right.

This is everything we could want and more! (Picture: Amazon Prime)

The clip ends when the presenter ends up in a bath with another man – which was another faux pas because he thought he meant bar – basically this series looks like everything we could want and more.

‘Japan is the most amazing place I’ve ever visited,’ James enthused ahead of his journey.

‘Everything about it is a surprise: a boiled sweet, a bullet train, an unexpected ancient temple, and the challenge of eating a single edamame bean with chopsticks.’

Fans won’t be disappointed with this AT ALL (Picture: Amazon Prime)

‘It’s a class A stimulant for all the senses, and an etiquette minefield for the unwary,’ he added.

‘I intend to immerse myself in it completely, in the pursuit of enlightenment and life balance. And I bet the noodles will be fantastic.’

Earlier this week James May also revealed that he didn’t want to be with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond while filming for season four of The Grand Tour.

For the first season four special, Seamen, the trio had to set off on a pretty rocky boat trip in Vietnam.

Each man took a different style of boat to make the journey and the waters were pretty choppy.

In a new teaser clip of the show, poor Richard gets soaked, Jeremy is loving the speed and James revealed he was trying to catch up to people he didn’t even want to be with.

In the 30-second clip, Jeremy can be spotted shouting: ‘The speeeeed’ while James, who is getting left behind exclaims: ‘I am trying to catch up with people who I don’t even want to be with anyway.’

The full series will be available to watch on Friday 3 January on Amazon Prime Video.

Multiple This Morning presenters ‘complain about Phillip Schofield’s attitude’

Multiple presenters have reportedly complained about Phillip Schofield (Picture: Rex Features)

Phillip Schofield is reportedly the subject of complaints by fellow This Morning presenters after they complained about his behaviour behind the scenes.

According to reports by The Sun, his relationship with Holly Willoughby has become strained over recent months.

The paper also alleges that Ruth Langsford has made an official complaint about Phillip.

They claim eight big ITV presenters have spoken to them about the ‘toxic’ atmosphere at This Morning, with one household name saying: ‘For so long people have been silenced because they are scared for their job. If they speak out publicly about the atmosphere they fear there could be repercussions.’

It comes after rumours Phillip got Amanda Holden banned from presenting the show.

Phillip and Holly apparently clashed when she won a BAFTA for filling in for Ant McPartlin on I’m A Celebrity, which Phillip didn’t want her to celebrate on This Morning.

An ITV source told The Sun: ‘Phillip was furious. He didn’t want Holly mentioning her triumph when they reunited on This Morning.

‘It felt very petty and bitter for someone who is his close friend. But it felt like he was jealous.’

Another colleague added: ‘He is very jealous of Holly, who has remained a nice person despite her success.’

They also alleged that Holly had objected to Phillip posting videos of her drinking alcohol on social media, but had to ask him not to through her agent as she was too afraid to speak to him directly.

Ruth also complained after he interrupted her during a segment where she previewed Loose Women on the show.

Former presenter Fern Britton also quit as Phillip was being paid ‘three times’ as much as she was, with her agent branding him an ‘arch manipulator’.

Phillip’s PA also left to work on Loose Women despite the pair apparently having a close friendship prior to this.

A spokesperson for ITV said: ‘It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip. Phillip is a much respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise. Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.’

Martin Frizell, Editor of This Morning added: ‘I spend hundreds of days a year in their company and what you see is what you get, a genuine friendship from a couple who are both spontaneously funny and professional. We have the smartest viewers watching telly and believe me they would be the first to notice any issues – they haven’t because there are none.’

Metro.co.uk reached out to Phillip’s reps for comment.

Kevin McCloud has reportedly left his wife and family home after 23 years of marriage.

It has been claimed that the 60-year-old has taken his things and left interior designer Suzanna McCloud, nicknamed Zani.

The pair who live in Frome, Somerset, share four children together, Hugo, Elsie, Milo, and Grace.

A friend of Suzanna’s allegedly told the Daily Mail: ‘Zani is absolutely devastated.

‘She came home one day to find that Kevin had taken his things and left.’

‘I can confirm that, sadly, Kevin and Suzanna separated. We won’t be making any further comment,’ a representative for Kevin McCloud told the Daily Mail.

Kevin has been the presenter for Grand Designs since April 1999 when the show aired its first episode.

Since then he has gone on to front the show for 19 series over a 20 year period, as well as presenting various spin-off shows include Grand Designs Trade Secrets and Grand Designs Abroad.

The Channel 4 series usually sees Kevin meet with people who are starting a new building project on their house and they then follow the properties transformation.

McCloud also went on the present a Grand Designs Live special where he showed environmentally friendly ways to carry out construction projects.

The 59-year-old had originally trained as a theatre designer and then set up his own lighting design manufacturing business.

Before joining Grand Designs, Kevin had published his first book in 1990 called Kevin McCloud’s Decorating Book, and this was later followed up by two other releases about lighting, decorating and choosing colours for your property.

In 2005 he received an honorary degree of Doctor of Design from Oxford Brookes and Plymouth University, and four years later he also received an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

McCloud was included as part of the Queen’s New Year Honours list in 2014 and he received an MBE for services to sustainable design and energy-saving property refurbishment.

Why Game Of Thrones’ Daenerys Targaryen felt nothing about horrific King’s Landing massacre

Game Of Thrones' Daenerys's descent into madness explained Picture: HBO METROGRAB
Daenerys turned her rage on a city of innocent people (Picture: HBO)

Daenerys Targaryen’s descent into madness seems to be kicked into lightning speed during the siege of King’s Landing in Game Of Thrones’ final season – much to the shock of fans.

The divisive move saw the once proud and fair Queen use her dragon to burn the city to the ground, taking the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians in the process.

What’s more, is that she felt no remorse for those that she killed once she saw the extent of the bloodshed and massacre caused by her hands.

Since the episode aired, fans of the show have questioned why she suddenly had that fall from grace and whether it was too fast, or had been waiting to happen all along.

Now, speaking on the DVD release of the finale, the team behind the show have defended the move – including Emilia Clarke (Daenerys herself) and showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff.

Explaining why, writer DB said: ‘Dany has been above it all, literally, throughout this entire battle. She’s fought the whole thing from the air.

‘When she’s in the plaza, all she’s seeing is her own armies triumphant in the city she came to conquer for all the best reasons.’

Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones
Daenerys’ tunnel vision for the throne left her blind to the terror she left in her wake (Picture: HBO)

So despite the horror she’s inflicted and the change in attitude from her loyal aides Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), who witnessed just how much she lost herself, she remains defiant that she’s in the right.

‘I think the idea of spreading her brand of revolution around the entire world is a very attractive idea to her at this moment,’ he explained.

‘In her mind, it’s a very ethical idea, because she’s not seeing the cost the way Jon and the way Tyrion have seen the cost.’

Emilia had previously said that Daenerys’ descent into madness started at the Battle of Winterfell, when she lost her beloved confidante Jorah Mormont.

She explained: ‘It’s not just the matter at hand, but I think because of everything at an emotional level that’s gone on, she’s able to go into her cold-blooded side.’

Strictly’s Oti Mabuse confronts argument rumours with dance partner Kelvin Fletcher

Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has addressed the rumours that she has been arguing with partner Kelvin Fletcher – I mean who could be mad at the soap star?

The duo were pictured leaving the It Takes Two studio on Wednesday and Oti didn’t look very happy with Kelvin – which led to claims that the two were having a disagreement.

Although the dance pro has since taken to social media to put those rumours to bed.

The star shared a funny clip of Kelvin’s face superimposed on a dancing chicken. The caption read: ‘How can I be furious at this face? Come on now.’

So there you have it guys, they couldn’t be happier.

Earlier this week, Kelvin had previously shared his concerns about learning his dance routines, and fears he could miss out on the final because of it.

Speaking to Zoe Ball about the hit BBC show alongside he dance partner Oti Mabuse, he exclaimed: ‘We’ve had a tough day today. It’s been a really tough day.

‘It takes me ages to learn the dances. Normally by a Thursday, I’m normally just learning the dance.’

He went on to add:  ‘I’m praying it’s going to be enough on Saturday.’

Zoe tried to make him feel better as she responded: ‘I think you’re being hard on yourself.

‘I think you’re not giving yourself enough credit.’

Kelvin has now made it through to the semi-finals of the series, joining Emma Barton and Anton DuBeke, Chris Ramsay and Karen Hauer, and Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden.

Alex Scott was the latest contestant to be eliminated from the show after a tense dance-off against comedian Chris.

Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse both chose to save Alex and dance partner Neil Jones, although things took a turn when Bruno opted to save Chris and Karen.

The decision meant it came down to head judge Shirley Ballas to make the decision – and she chose to save Chris and Karen.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.

Game Of Thrones’ John Bradley reveals playing Sam gave him a stutter and ‘performance anxiety’

Samwell Tarly in Game of Thrones season 8
It got to a point where he would lose control (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones actor John Bradley has told how playing his character Samwell Tarly gave him a permanent stutter and ‘would trip him up’ during filming.

The star spoke honestly and openly about his ‘performance anxiety’ on the Blank Podcast with Giles Paley-Phillips and comedian Jim Daly.

He explained how he got into a trap with his character and it got to the point where he lost control.

‘Towards the end of Game Of Thrones, it became the only way I could act, and I got into the unconscious mindset that people want me to do this,’ he began.

‘I got into this trap with Sam, I set myself traps, because he had a traumatic childhood and suffered a lot – and it manifested through a stammer and a twitch sometimes.

‘It can cause psychological barriers to show how he was brought up in a highly charged environment and he was almost frightened to speak and he’s not sure whether he’s allowed to speak or to express his opinion on things and so I thought how am I going to show that?’

The 31-year-old went on to explain that by the middle of Game Of Thrones he lost complete control of when he stammered or not.

He said he would lose control while filming GOT (Picture: Sloan/Hbo/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)

He added: ‘There are takes of me where it felt like it would be five minutes where I am just standing with other the actors and I couldn’t speak and I just can’t get the words out and certain sounds would trip me up.

‘In one scene I came in first with Kit Harrington and in the nicest way he said to me “can you come in a bit quicker?” so I can react a bit quicker and I was like “I can’t, I just can’t”.

‘As lovely as the crew were, they assumed it was because I had forgotten my lines. It took me a while to get out of it and it went away over time.’

His stutter playing Sam has also affected his acting jobs outside of GOT.

‘When I was in character I developed a stammer that I wasn’t in control of and it’s hard enough to be an actor anyway without having to read a script the night before you were going to do it and thinking that’s really going to trip me up tomorrow and the more you think about it the worse it gets,’ he exclaimed.

‘Towards the end of that journey, that stammer would turn up in non-Sam acting and I’d do auditions when I’d stammer because it just seemed like the default place that I went to when I acted.

‘I think people thought it was part of me but it wasn’t, but it was performance anxiety.’

The Walking Dead’s Samantha Morton has told fans to expect a number of ‘incredible’ twists for her character Alpha in the next installment of season 10.

Earlier this month, the show went into its mid-season break, and we’re already starting to get withdrawal symptoms.

But the 42-year-old has kept us going and has teased what’s to come when chatting with Metro.co.uk at the Women In Film And Television Awards, in London.

Fresh from Atlanta, she said: ‘I’m thrilled to be part of that world and it’s not what you think there are always surprises. I can’t give too much away, really.’

Keeping her cards close to her chest, the mother-of-three went on: ‘I’m loving it really it’s a dream part, part of a lifetime, I love being part of the AMC world, I’m loving working with everybody.’

She said the show is going to get ‘really brutal’ (Picture: AMC)

And while we thought the actress wouldn’t let anything slip, she smirked: ‘It’s really brutal.’

As if it could get any more brutal than the season nine beheadings?

The fan favourite continued: ‘I think the thing I would say to the readers, is there are more twists and more turns, and even I was reading the scripts like, “What? Oh my gosh, okay we’re doing that today,” but I was loving it.’

When we asked if Carol (Melissa McBride) would be the one to take on Alpha, Samantha paused for a moment to collect her thoughts.

The Walking Dead's Samantha Morton as Alpha
It turns out she regrets not having scenes with Andrew Lincoln (Picture: AMC)

Not giving too much away, she said: ‘It’s complicated, isn’t it? With Carol’s history and Alpha doesn’t really have a history.

‘You get a bit in episode two where you have a flashback with Beta, but I think Angela Kang our showrunner has some incredible surprises in store, we will just have to see.’

The star came into the series at the end of season nine, shortly after Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) left the show.

This meant that the duo never actually had any screen time together, despite the pair playing major roles in the saga.

When we asked if she wished she’d been around in the Rick Grimes era, Samantha confessed: ‘I suppose I do, but we have gone far away from the comics in some ways, and I think that’s fine.

‘I have a great time working with who I’m working with now. I’m loving it.’

The Walking Dead season 10 will return to AMC and Fox UK after a short break, however, a date is yet to be released.

Caitlyn Jenner broke fans hearts’ when it appeared that no one came to greet her when she crossed the bridge back to normality on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

But it seems that the eliminated campmates were determined to make sure she wasn’t alone, with James Haskell making to the trip to greet his ‘camp wife’ after her three weeks in camp.

‘James met Caitlyn when she came over the bridge,’ a source told The Sun Online.

‘He sat with her for the entire leaving process – he asked to do it to make sure she had someone.’

Caitlyn wept when she left the show on Friday night in a double elimination with Nadine Coyle – and no one was there to meet her on her exit.

James, 34, was fourth eliminated from the show, and had formed a bond with his entire camp, especially Caitlyn.

After his elimination, she was seen scolding Ant and Dec before a Bushtucker Trial, telling them: ‘How dare you take away our James?’

The heartwarming post read: ‘I’ve never met anyone like you @caitlynjenner & probably never will.

‘Breaking records & boundaries since ‘49 and still SLAYING… And even though you excel everyday & dare to be great.’

‘Having the courage to be yourself is the thing that moves me the most,’ Adele added. ‘Young Adele says thank you Queen 👑 Without people like you, I might not have had the strength to be me.’

Caitlyn’s close pal Sophia Hutchins also arrived at the hotel shortly after, held up after her plane was delayed while flying from LA.

Her daughters are both currently on holiday – with Kendall popping up in Miami, while Kylie has gone skiing with her daughter, Stormi.

The latest odds on who will win Strictly Come Dancing 2019

$

stacey dooley and kevin clifton winning strictly 2018
Stacey Dooley won Strictly Come Dancing last year with her partner Kevin Clifton (Picture: BBC)

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 is very nearly over, as only four couples remain in the competition after Alex Scott’s exit last Sunday.

The winner of Strictly will be crowned very soon, with the semi-final due to air in a matter of hours.

As we wait with bated breath to find out who will win, here are the latest odds on which of the remaining celebrities will be given the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Who will win Strictly Come Dancing?

William Hill currently and unsurprisingly has it that the favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing is Kelvin Fletcher, with odds at 4/11 that he’ll be the one to bag the top prize.

The second most likely winners are Emma Barton and Karim Zeroual, both at 9/2.

Bringing up the rear is Chris Ramsey with the odds of him winning sitting at 16/1.

The fact that Kelvin Fletcher is the favourite to win should surprise no one given that he achieved the first perfect 10 of the series and he broke a betting record after his first dance with partner Oti Mabuse made absolute waves among fans.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood even went so far to call Kelvin ‘filth’ after his sultry Rumba, and it’s pretty hard to argue.

Speaking after the dance, Craig said: ‘Well you’re obviously in touch with yourself darling. We can certainly see that.

‘It was full of machismo which I loved. It oozed masculinity. It was filth.’

Strictly Come Dancing will be on tonight on BBC One at 7pm.

Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher fights back tears after he finally landing perfect 40 with Oti Mabuse

Kelvin and Oti got their perfect 40 (Picture: BBC)

Kelvin Fletcher was left fighting back tears on Strictly Come Dancing after finally being given his first perfect 40.

The Emmerdale actor has been a firm favourite on the series since the beginning, but has struggled to win over Craig Revel-Horwood enough to be given his 10.

But tonight, performing a Quickstep to The Lady is a Tramp as their first of two routines, the crowd and judges were on their feet with applause, and Kelvin choked up when the scores were revealed.

Tearing up as Claudia Winkleman said he ‘looked emotional’ Kelvin struggled to speak as he said: ‘…Wow…yeah!’

Clearly red-eyed as he held himself together for the cameras, the result should not have been that unexpected considering head judge Shirley Ballas was waving her arms about in victory – but as always it was Craig he had to win over.

So when he remained sitting down with a blank face, it didn’t look too good to start off with.

‘Well, it really upset me actually, because I couldn’t find much wrong with it,’ Craig then teased – hinting they were on their way to victory.

Sneaky, Craig. Way to keep everyone on their toes!

Motsi agreed and said: ‘You wowed me, this is the semi-final and you could’ve played it safe. But that was a difficult routine!.’ Motsi cheered on.

Shirley later praised him for his ‘woodpecker’ which needed a bit more of an explanation than it should have had.

Before getting the results, a proud Oti beamed beside an out of breath Kelvin who explained he;d struggled learning two routines.

Kelvin later said: ‘It’s been a really hard week. Obviously, we’re all been in the same boat. Two dances in the space of a week, it was so daunting but I’ve given it my all.

‘Oti’s been incredible this week and to get those comments…it means so much it really does.’

The only other couple who have achieved the 40 score so far this series is Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden, who blew judges away with their jive to You Can’t Stop The Beat last week.

Their second routine was a bit of a scene change – with a paso doble to White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow at 7.20pm on BBC One.

Latest I’m A Celebrity odds – who is the favourite to win after final four are revealed?

We now have our final four (Pictures: ITV)

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2019 is very nearly finished, as only four contestants remain after a series of eliminations.

The winner of I’m A Celebrity will be crowned very soon, with the finale due to air on Sunday night.

As we wait with bated breath to find out who will win, here are the latest odds on which of the remaining celebrities will be crowned king or queen of the jungle…

Who is the favourite to win I’m A Celebrity?

William Hill currently has the odds at 2/5 that Andrew Whyment is the favourite to win this year’s I’m A Celeb.

Behind him is Jacqueline Jossa at 7/2 and Roman Kemp at 8/1.

Bringing up the rear is Kate Garraway, who’s the least favourite to win with odds of her being named queen of the jungle at 14/1.

Even though Corrie actor Andrew entered the jungle late with Cliff Parisi, he soon became the favourite to win the whole competition after he couldn’t stop laughing at the fact that he was on the show in the first place.

During his first appearance on I’m A Celeb, Andrew looked totally chuffed at being on I’m A Celebrity as his then-fellow-campmate Cliff Parisi had to do a challenge by feeling around in boxes filled with a wide variety of unsavoury things.

Andrew said at the time: ‘I can’t help it sorry Cliff. It’s just making me laugh, I feel like I’m watching the TV at home.’

Last night saw the jungle get hit with a double elimination as Caitlyn Jenner and Nadine Coyle were both eliminated from the competition.

The Girls Aloud singer told Ant and Dec that her time in the jungle was ‘way crazier than I thought.’

She added: ‘You know it’s not going to be like staying in a hotel, but it was hard… You just have to get on with it, you either fall apart or get on with it.’

Caitlyn meanwhile said: ‘I came here to kind of test myself… I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. The first night I didn’t think I’d make it to the next night. I can’t believe I made it all the way to three weeks.’

I’m a Celebrity… Get me out of Here! Continues tonight at 9:20pm on ITV.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Will Bayley wants to give the series another shot next year after a horror injury knocked him out of the competition early.

The Paralympian made it through to the Halloween week only to fall awkwardly off a table and badly damaging his leg.

‘I enjoyed it more then I thought I ever would, so I’d say 100% go for it,’ he told Daily Star.

‘I’d be one million per cent up for going back next year, as long as I don’t do my knee in again.’

Will was partnered with Janette Manrara and was rehearsing a jive when tragedy struck.

When landing on the floor, he collapsed in on his leg, sending him keeling over to the floor and requiring emergency help.

After being written off by the doctor, it was announced later that week that he would no longer participate, with an emotional interview on It Takes Two showing Will being ‘absolutely gutted’.

Talking to Zoe Ball alongside Janette, he insisted his disability wasn’t to blame for his injury.

He said: ‘I just want people to know that it’s not because I have a disability, I don’t want people to be put off dancing, it can happen to anyone, it’s just unlucky.’

‘I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end,’ Will said in his official statement.

‘I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received. I want to say a special thank you to Janette for believing in me and giving me the confidence to believe in myself.

‘The things we achieved, from our Couple’s Choice dance through to the lifts in our Salsa, will stay with me forever. I’ve had the time of my life.’

He has since kept himself part of the Strictly team, appearing frequently in the audience and interviewing them backstage.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow at 7.20pm on BBC One.

Claudia Winkleman admits that she fears being axed from Strictly Come Dancing because she’s ‘been on too long’.

The star has been presenting the series alongside Tess Daly for the past five years, taking over hosting duties when Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down from his role.

Since then the pair have been leading the proceedings, with Claudia being the emotional support for the celebrities as they wait for their scores after every routine.

‘I feel like I’ve already had too long a run. I am incredibly lucky,’ Claudia told The Mirror.

‘I don’t want to sound like a d**khead, but that’s how I feel. I appreciate it.’

Claudia previously said she would never take part in the show herself, but is happy being there for the comic relief for every series.

A firm favourite on the BBC, her hosting duties for this year’s series is nearly up, with the final for the series airing live next week.

But there’s still one celebrity who needs to be eliminated before we get there – with the results being aired on Sunday evening.

Kelvin Fletcher landed top of the leaderboard in the semi-finals, scoring a perfect 40 for his quickstep to The Lady Is A Tramp, with a close 37 for his paso doble to Seven Nation Army by White Stripes.

On the other end, Chris Ramsey is fighting for his place at the bottom of the scoreboard with the lowest points.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Sunday at 7.20pm on BBC One.

Strictly’s Chris Ramsey breaks down in tears after emotional performance with Karen Hauer

Comedian Chris Ramsey has been keeping the jokes coming on Strictly Come Dancing – but even he struggled through an emotional rumba that may be his last performance in the competition.

The South Shields star performed a rumba with Karen Hauer to Don’t Watch Me Cry by Jorja Smith which, ironically, set him off as they performed a dance about rowing lovers.

At the end of the performance, Chris was seen hugging Karen before admitting to Tess Daly that he found it hard not to get teary by the time the song was over.

‘I actually cried at the end there,’ he admitted. ‘Genuinely I really cried.’

‘… I was thinking about that mistake in the Vienesse!,’ he then cracked, referring to his point-costing error during their waltz to Queen’s Somebody to Love earlier that episode.

Despite the judges not being too pleased with their efforts, the pair were determined to keep in good spirits, joking about their emotional moment to the team.

‘It’s so weird, it’s so weird. Yesterday when we ran it, halfway through the dance I wanted to go, “Are you alright? You look miserable love, are you OK? It’s been ridiculous.”

‘It’s been ridiculous. One dance was hard enough for me, this has been crazy.’

Chris and Karen

But the pair got emotional again when Claudia asked Karen why Chris should make it to next week’s final.

She said: ‘As you can see we’re not perfect. But you know what? He’s a non-dancer and he made it to the semis. And I think that that little boy who’s at home watching, Robin, will be very proud of you!’

Covering his face to stop his crying, the pair then shared another emotional hug.

It was tears all around for everyone in the semi-finals, with Kelvin Fletcher also holding back tears after getting a perfect 40 from the judges.

Strictly Come Dancing airs Sunday at 7.20pm on BBC One.

Kate Garraway has become the final campmate to be eliminated before the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here finale.

The Good Morning Britain star has been pipped to the post and voted out by the public with just one day to go before the end of the series.

Leaving the show, Kate beamed and admitted that she was happy to leave, and hopes that Jacqueline is the one to beat as they head into the final day.

Speaking to Ant and Dec about her exit, she said: ‘I feel amazing! I can’t believe I got this far. I can’t believe it, honestly.’

‘I was flabbergasted. I kept on thinking you got my name wrong,’ she joked. ‘Those three really deserve to be in the final, they’ve been brilliant throughout.’

Confessing she was signed up to last year but pulled out after getting cold feet, Kate admitted that she felt this year was ‘now or never’ because of her home commitments.

‘Life is busy isn’t it? You’re a mum and you’re juggling lots of things from the minute you get up and you’re racing around from the minute you get up. You have a lot of balls in the air,’ she said.

‘Everything I’ve got I’ve always worked really hard for,’ she added. ‘You realise you have got stuff in you, you have got bravery in you and you have to really, really treasure what’s important to you. And it’s people.

‘Sometimes it’s strangers who become friends and just make the most of that.’

With Kate’s exit, Roman Kemp, Jacqueline Jossa and Andy Whyment are this year’s finalists.

Caitlyn Jenner is already trying to set daughter Kendall up with Myles Stephenson – and we kind of ship it.

The 70-year-old was booted out of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle on Friday, and has wasted absolutely no time trying to sort out the supermodel’s love life.

Just seconds after leaving camp, she came face-to-face with the 28-year-old Rak-Su singer – who was all suited, booted and showered – and dropped her daughter right in it.

In scenes which aired on ITV2 spin-off Extra Camp, the Olympian screamed: ‘Look at you!

‘My God, Kendall would love you now, look at him. That’s pretty hot!’

Kenny could probably feel Myles’ blush all the way in Miami…

The X Factor winner has previously voiced his affections for the 24-year-old – whom he previously bumped into in a bar in LA – telling Caitlyn he wanted to marry her.

Which is a little awkward…

‘I love Kendall, I’d marry Kendall tomorrow,’ he confessed.

‘I’ll be a house-husband, I’ll cook.’

‘Imagine… Kendall Jenner Stephenson,’ he later suggested in the Bush Telegraph.

‘We’re going to make some beautiful children.’

Think Kendall might get a say in that…

But the model isn’t the only famous face Myles has been linked to during his time in the jungle.

In fact, some of his former campmates revealed they were trying to set him up with Nadine Coyle.

During a stint on Extra Camp, Adele Roberts confessed: ‘I was trying to get them together from the start.

‘So maybe it’s blossoming now.’

The conspiracy was also confirmed by the recently axed James Haskell, who added: ‘To see them paired up, what a good looking pairing.’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here final airs on Sunday, at 9pm, on ITV, with Extra Camp on ITV right after.

Ex Ready, Steady, Cook chef brands Rylan Clark-Neal reboot a ‘flop’ before first episode even airs

Aldo Rylan
Rylan hasn’t won over Aldo (Picture: Metro.co.uk/Rex)

Rylan Clark-Neal’s new reboot of Ready Steady Cook has been dubbed a flop already by chef Aldo Zilli, who after appearing on the original series thinks it needs more people with ‘character’.

The Italian cook was front and centre of the competing teams when Aisnley Harriott fronted the show, starting back in 1994 until the series was axed from the BBC in 2010.

But now, with a brand new team and new host in Rylan, the show is being giving a new lease of life… but Aldo isn’t impressed with what he’s heard.

Branding Rylan’s hiring “playing it safe”, he told The Mirror: ‘I think it is going to be a flop. People want to see people that have got character, like me.

‘I did the last series. I have done a lot of them. A hundred per cent, it would have been nice it they had got some of the old chefs back.’

The new version of the show will be changed to reflect the UK’s changing dietary habits and budgetary needs that have become common for households since it last appeared on screens.

In the first challenge of the show, contestants, who will be paired up with high-class chefs, will be told to bring a bag of items worth £10 in value to create a gourmet dish.

The original series, fronted by the eccentric Ainsley Harriott, ran for more than 1000 episodes, turning stars including Antony Worrell-Thompson and Ainsley into household names.

TV chef Ainsley Harriott (right) talks to guest Terry Wogan during a special edition of 'Ready Steady Cook' in aid of 'Children In Need' at Capital Studios, south west London.

His hiring comes despite former beloved host Ainsley saying he would be willing to return.

‘Yeah [I would come back], but it could be somebody else’s turn,’ he later added.

‘I loved doing it, it made cooking really interesting, it bought cooking into people’s living rooms and cooking and made people believe they could have a go.’

But when the news was announced, gracious Ainsley gave his blessing, handing over the metaphorical apron and wooden spoon to the in demand presenter.

Ready Steady Cook will launch in the new year on the BBC.

Meet your final three! (Picture: Rex)

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here has its final three campmates as Kate Garraway left the show in the final axing of the series.

With a whole host of favourites including Bushtucker Trial favourite Celebrity Cyclone to keep them busy for their final hours in camp, it was definitely full of action despite the camp of 12 now turning into four.

So what did Jacqueline Jossa, Roman Kemp, Kate Garraway and Andy Whyment get up to on day 21 of their Australian adventure?

Here’s everything you may have missed from the penultimate day in camp…

nADINE AND Caitlyn
Nadine and Caitlyn were eliminated (Picture: ITV)

Nadine and Caitlyn get a double whammy exit

As seen at the end of last night’s show, Nadine Coyle and Caitlyn Jenner were both eliminated in a shock double axing – the first one this series.

However, we’re sure they were more than happy to go considering everyone was bitten to pieces by mosquitos throughout the night.

Before her exit, Caitlyn told the Bush Telegraph: ‘I am so ready to get out of here, I’ve had enough bugs and intestines thrown on me, I miss the family and I miss being home, now let’s wrap this sucker up and go on to the next one!’

On the announcement, they were delighted that they could leave together – seeing as their journey started with a skydive all the way back on day one.

Time to Suit Up!

Jacqueline was the one to break the happy news to everyone that today was the one and only Celebrity Cyclone day… complete with the ever-snazzy superhero costumes.

Bringing them into camp, the group cheers for the trial (which makes a change from dreading it, we guess!)

‘I’m really excited about this, I never thought I’d get this far where you can actually do the cyclone,’ Jacqueline admitted. ‘This is an iconic moment and I’m just can’t believe I’m here wearing this illuminous orange suit.’

Andy told Roman they looked like Batman and Robin from Only Fools and Horses… and we can’t say we disagree.

Celebrity Cyclone

The trial to end all trials has become a firm tradition in I’m a Celebrity landmarks, and these guys took on the task like pros.

The running order was agreed to be Kate, Jacqueline, Roman and finally Andy.

With a whole lot of water to the point they can’t see, balls and objects being thrown at them to keep them off their feet and sliding back into the ballpit… it was never an easy ride.

Jacqueline started to crawl up to Kate as she struggled to move and then didn’t seem to move any further at all.  She eventually managed to get the three stars from Kate but then lost them and they all fell back to the ball pit.  She dashed back, collected them and ran back to her marker.

Roman dashed off but underestimated how deep the ball pit was, he eventually reached Jacqueline and took two stars to his marker. Andy raced to get Roman but was hit by balls and water, he decided to try power walking and just as he reached his marker…..

A torrential gush of water and balls was unleashed on our celebrities and they all fell back to the beginning of the course, except Roman who managed to hold on.

Kate, Jacqueline and Andy dashed back to their markers and Andy just reached his with seconds to spare.

‘I got pelted left, right and centre but it was the funniest thing I’ve ever done in my life, it was so so good,’ Jacqueline later laughed, with spirits high in the camp.

An icy return

Nothing can ever be simple in camp, and when they came back from their trial and discovered four choc-ices in a box, they knew there’d be a catch.

They had to find four keys hidden around camp to unlock the box and get the ice creams but there was a twist….water was filling up in the box and if they didn’t find the keys in time they’d have very soggy ice creams.

Kate found one in the telephone box, Roman found one on the Christmas tree, Kate found another by the Jungle shower and Jacqueline found one in the treehouse.

They opened the box just in time.

Turns out that there hasn’t just been 12 people in the camp…there has actually been 13 and we finally got to meet him again.

Thanks to Andy not taking out the rubbish we got a look at Lennie – a one-metre long goanna lizard who has taken to rummaging their bins when the cameras aren’t looking.

Aided by Roman’s Sir David Attenborough impression, Lennie managed his own Bushtucker trial and tried to neck a whole piece of tail to the shock of every

Kate in particular was shocked, and said: ‘I feel like I’m watching a scene from Jurassic Park! He’s trying to eat it they can dislocate their jaw. I have never seen anything like that in my life.’

Jacqueline and Roman looked on open mouthed as Lennie took the bone to a nearby rock and forced it into his mouth and eventually down his throat.

‘It was the most fascinating thing to watch, he was twisting his neck and doing like weird yoga moves just to digest the food, kind of like James Haskell used to do,’ joked Roman.

While Jacqueline said: ‘That was ugly and hideous to watch but I couldn’t turn away.’

Who said that they’re starved for entertainment in the jungle?!

Jennifer Lopez wowed audiences during her Saturday Night Live opening monologue by stripping off to reveal that iconic Versace dress.

At the beginning of the night, the 50-year-old singer stepped out onto the stage in a full tux to make her hosting debut, which ended with a Rockette accompanied rendition of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.

Before the end of the performance though, Jennifer disappeared behind the six artists and then reappeared having taken her original outfit off with the legendary green number hiding underneath.

Only JLo could.

‘Now it’s really Christmas!’ Jennifer shouted.

Unsurprisingly, viewers were living for the grand reveal and wasted no time in shelling out compliments on social media.

‘JLo wins SNL! She stepped out in that Versace dress 20 years later like a boss!’ praised one Twitter user.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘DAYAM GURL! JLo still WEARING the hell out of that dress!! 50 never looked so good!!’

This isn’t the first time Jenny from the block has brought back the infamous green ‘Jungle Dress’ she first wore to the Grammys back in 2000.

Earlier this year, she wore a revamped version of the ensemble when she waled for Versace during Milan Fashion Week.

Viewers were obsessed with Jennifer Lopez’s outfit reveal on Saturday Night Live

Jennifer’s opening monologue focussed on her incredibly successful year – including her proposal from Alex Rodriguez.

‘Christmas is a really important time for me because it makes you look back at the past year and think about all the things you’re thankful for,’ she said.

The Hustlers star continued: ‘This year, I’ve got to be honest, I’ve been so blessed. First off, I got what every girl from the Bronx dreamed of… proposed to by a Yankee.

‘I’ve had the biggest movie opening that I’ve ever had, that included a lapdance from Cardi B. I went on a sold-out tour and I slayed the Met Gala.’

Jennifer added: ‘The best is yet to come. They tried to count me out so much. But I’m still here.’

We stan.

Which of these four has made the I’m A Celebrity final? (Pictures: ITV)

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2019 has its finalists following the last elimination of the series, with a trio of campmates set to compete to be crowned this year’s champion.

Sunday night’s show will see camp vacated for another year as Harry Redknapp’s successor nabs that King or Queen Of The Jungle title – but the remaining campers still have a few challenges on their hands before they get that far.

However one of their number missed out on the final on Saturday night – following the infamous Celebrity Cyclone trial – as the numbers in the camp went from four down to three.

So whose I’m A Celebrity journey came to an end, becoming the last person to be voted out ahead of the final?

Here’s what you need to know…

Who left I’m A Celebrity last night?

Saturday night’s show saw Kate Garraway miss out on a place in the final as she was eliminated in the latest viewer vote.

The Good Morning Britain star told Ant and Dec she felt ‘amazing’ and added: ‘I can’t believe I got this far…I kept on thinking you got my name wrong.’

Speaking about her time on the show she said it had been ‘now or never’ for her to take part, having pulled out last year – adding: ‘Everything I’ve got I’ve always worked really hard for. You realise you have got stuff in you, you have got bravery in you and you have to really, really treasure what’s important to you. And it’s people.

‘Sometimes it might be strangers who become friends and you should just make the most of all of that.’

Who is in the I’m A Celebrity final?

Sunday night’s show will see the three remaining campers compete for the series title:

  • Jacqueline Jossa
  • Roman Kemp
  • Andrew Whyment

Andrew Whyment is currently the favourite to take the title with odds of 2/7 according to Ladbrokes – with Jacqueline next in the betting at 4/1 and Roman the outsider to win at 10/1.

‘Andy has stole the show Down Under this year and it looks as though Jacqueline will be finishing second the the Corrie star,’ said Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati.

The I’m A Celebrity final is on ITV on Sunday night at 9pm.
