David Jason accused of sexual harassment after confessing why he won innuendo award: ‘You daren’t bend down if I’m in the show’

Sir David Jason has been accused of sexual harassment after he revealed he won an ‘innuendo award’ during filming Only Fools And Horses.

Speaking to Michelle Ackerley and Amol Rajan on The One Show, the 79-year-old actor known – who played Del Boy in the series – admitted that he was presented with a ‘golden sausage’ for the jokes he made on-set.

‘If I see something with any male or female, usually it’s the females I must admit, usually, I will pass comment and observe and put it on camera and they’ll save it,’ David explained.

‘We can’t use it because it’s a bit sensitive, so what I got was an award and what it is, is on a block is a golden sausage, and it’s the award for the best innuendo.’

He continued: ‘You’ve got to use your imagination… What was it that I saying or what was I doing. You daren’t bend down if I’m in the show.’

Many viewers were upset by Jason’s remarks and blasted him on social media, with one writing: ‘Yes, David Jason is a great actor, a national treasure and 79 years old.

‘He also just implied he touches women up when they bend over at his place of work.

‘It’s not being sensitive, or a snowflake, or a soft leftie to point out that the second sentence is not okay.’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another posted: ‘Ummm…did David Jason just admit to sexually harassing women?’

However, the majority of audiences leapt to David’s defence and branded him a national treasure as they urged others to leave him be.

‘Anyone going on about David Jason tonight, please p*** off you plonkers!’ one tweeted.

‘The man is a national treasure, a kind, respectful person and never got into any scandals throughout his career. A top professional, a top man and the funniest Britain has ever seen. One of a kind!’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to David’s rep for comment.

The One Show continues tonight at 7pm on BBC One.

Debbie McGee believes that Gemma Atkinson and Joe Sugg might have the edge on the competition for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

The star, who reached the final of the main Strictly series in 2017 with Giovanni Pernice, is trading in the Italian pro for Grimsby’s own Kevin Clifton for this year’s one-off.

Speaking ahead of the show, Debbie said her biggest competition was “all of her competitiors”, then added: ‘It’s not totally about dancing it’s about who the people like.

‘Joe [Sugg] and Dianne [Buswell] have this huge following on social and so has Gemma [Atkinson].

‘People will like that they’re dancing with real life partners – it adds another dimension.’

‘It’s anyone’s this Christmas,’ she then added.

Richard Hammond has revealed there were rows with James May filming The Grand Tour presents Seamen, which is by far their most stressful adventure yet.

The first of a series of feature-length specials airs this Friday and will see Hammond, May and Jeremy Clarkson race from Vietnam to Cambodia, ditching cars for boats which proves to be a terrible idea.

At one point, the trio put their lives in danger as they recklessly steer their boats into a wild storm, losing their crew and each other. It’s genuinely terrifying.

No wonder then the boys began snapping at each other, arguing over anything and everything – including the way their bread is buttered, literally.

‘On this latest trip, James just snapped and screamed about the way I was spreading margarine on my toast,’ Hammond told Daily Star.

“He shouted, “I hate the way you do that!” That was when I knew we’d spent too much time together.

‘When we get together, we know how to push one ¬another’s buttons. It’s like marriage, really – and we’ve probably lasted longer than some marriages!’

In The Grand Tour trailer, May admitted he ‘didn’t want to be with’ his co-stars while filming Seamen.

Thankfully, then, he’s off on his own adventure in James May… Our Man in Japan, which follows Captain Slow spending three months at the Land of The Rising Sun.

The 56-year-old insisted he would have ‘gone completely mad’ if Clarkson and co. came along for the ride too.

‘Obviously, if the three of us had been together I’d have gone completely mad,’ May stressed. ‘But on this, we had a very small, very mobile crew of people who get on very well and we romped through it and had a great time. I didn’t even realise how long it was.’

The Grand Tour presents Seamen airs Friday, December 18 on Amazon Prime Video.

Bruno Tonioli is known on Strictly Come Dancing as one of the most vibrant and over-the-top stars to ever grace a judges’ panel – but he’s now revealed it’s not that easy.

The star, who commutes between the States and London every week to be part of Strictly and US counterpart Dancing With the Stars, appeared on This Morning to talk about his work.

But Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left stunned when it was revealed that while he’s always upbeat on camera, in real-life he has to withdraw from his co-stars.

‘I’m really nervous before every show,’ he confessed. ‘Absolutely, ask anyone in the studio. I’m actually the one that speaks the less, I’m literally like that [head in my hands].’

‘I have to really kind of [withdraw] and think “what am I going to do? What am I going to do?”’

He then clicked his fingers as if things fall into place, throwing his arms out with a smile.

‘I still have the butterflies in the stomach,’ Bruno added.

‘You know, it’s a great responsibility, you don’t want to let the audience down. But if you don’t have that, I’d be worried, because it feels like you’re going to phone the show in instead of giving everything you have.’

‘Sometimes a work won’t be pronounced correctly, but it doesn’t really matter because your intentions are there and are real,’ he said.

This week is the big one with the finals approaching, with Emma Barton, Kelvin Fletcher and Karim Zeroual fighting for the top spot.

Britain’s Got Talent winner Colin Thackery revealed he goes to the gym every day, and we absolutely bow down.

The 89-year-old, who won the latest series of the ITV show, lifted the lid on how he stays so healthy – leaving Loose Women viewers shook.

During the latest instalment, Saira Khan asked him: ‘How do you keep fit and healthy?’

‘Up until I got so busy, I used to go to the gym every day,’ he replied, with members of the audience gasping.

‘But I haven’t had time at the moment.

‘I eat the right food, I suppose.’

We get a little breathless just walking to the bus stop…

Colin came to fame earlier this year, taking part in Britain’s Got Talent, and had us all in tears as he dedicated performances with his late wife.

He first joined the army when he was just 15-years-old, and lost part of his hearing while fighting in the Korean war, in the 1950s.

And the veteran became the oldest person in the world to sign a record deal, following his stint on the show.

Rebecca Allen, president of Decca records, said: ‘It feels so incredibly fitting that Colin should sign to Decca, in its 90th Anniversary year.

‘The fact that Decca’s success started the year Colin was born, feels quite magical. He’s a unique artist and we are extremely proud to welcome him into our family.’

Basically, he’s smashing it.

Strictly Come Dancing has revealed the song and dance choices for its final three contestants ahead of its grand finale this weekend.

On Saturday, Kelvin Fletcher, Emma Barton and Karim Zeroual will all battle it out to see who lifts the Glitterball Trophy, and they’ll be facing off with dances to classic songs from everything to The Greatest Showman and the Isley Brothers.

This comes after the final three contestants of the series were confirmed after comedian Chris Ramsey became the latest celebrity to be eliminated in last week’s semi-final.

And just to ramp up the pressure even further, pop princess Taylor Swift will be present for the final, performing a medley of songs from her most recent album, Lover.

Each couple will be performing a mammoth three dances during the show, which sounds like a lot of steps to learn, we’ll be honest!

Karim and his partner Amy Dowden – who were awarded the first 40 of the series – will be tackling the Quickstep to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Mr Pinstripe Suit, as well as a showdance to Pink’s version of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman.

EastEnders actress Emma and ol’ reliable himself Anton Du Beke wille be hotfooting it to a Charleston to the tune of Thoroughly Modern Millie while also attempting their showdance to Let Yourself Go by Irving Berlin.

Finally, Emmerdale’s Kelvin and Oti Mabuse – who also, finally, scored their first 40 last week – will be dancing the Rumba to Ain’t No Sunshine and their showdance to the Isley Brothers’ classic Shout.

Each of the couples’ third dance will be their favourite routine that they’ve performed from this series, although these haven’t been announced yet.

After his elimination on the weekend, Chris Ramsey’s professional dance partner Karen Hauer paid an emotional tribute to the funnyman.

‘Oh Friend! We did what people thought impossible,’ Karen began in her emotional post. ‘An absolute novice who took six months to learn his wedding day dance to a man who danced 13 dances in front of millions and created atmosphere and character through it all…

‘How did you get there? I’ll tell you how. You were your absolute self the whole way through this experience. You never tried to be anything other than who you are and what a fantastic trait to show the Strictly audience.’

In other Strictly news, former pro James Jordan kicked up a fuss online after the semi-final, arguing that Kelvin and Oti didn’t ‘deserve’ their perfect score.

Judge Bruno Tonioli revealed that due to nerves, he does not speak to the contestants before a show.

‘I’m really nervous before every show,’ he confessed. ‘Absolutely, ask anyone in the studio. I’m actually the one that speaks the less, I’m literally like that [head in my hands].’

Andrea McLean has opened up about going to couples counselling with husband Nick Feeney, after a ‘bumpy year’.

The 50-year-old has been married to the businessman for two years, after tying the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony, in 2017.

And, during an appearance on Loose Women, she explained that she could not recommend going to therapy enough.

When Coleen Nolan praised counselling, she agreed: ‘Absolutely, I’m the same, I thoroughly recommend it.

‘I’ve had counselling on my own this year, I’ve had a bit of a bumpy year this year, and couple’s counselling as well, and it’s made a huge, huge difference.’

While Andrea was not drawn on their issues, she added: ‘You realise what you’re lugging around.

‘You don’t realise you’re lugging everything with you.’

The ITV host married Nick on 30 November, 2017, around four years after they first started dating.

And the pair said their ‘I dos’ in front of their closest friends – including a string of the star’s Loose Women co-stars – Nadia Sawalha, Linda Robson, Saira Khan and Stacey Solomon.

Andrea has previously opened up about going to therapy, revealing she decided to seek help after ‘struggling emotionally’ while appearing on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Speaking about her time on the show, she explained that Ant Middleton shouting at her forced her to relive a horrific moment from her past.

‘While taking part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, I struggled emotionally when [lead instructor] Ant Middleton shouted at me, as it brought back dark times,’ she said.

‘Memories I thought I’d pushed so far down into my head that they weren’t there anymore.

‘But I realised that putting memories into a box and thinking ‘I’m not going to look at that anymore’ doesn’t mean they’re gone.

‘I’ve realised I’ve got to confront them and address a few things. I haven’t decided what the best course of action is yet, but possibly therapy.

‘I don’t want to break down again like I did on there.’

Loose Women continues on weekdays, at 12.30pm, on ITV.

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco has kept it in the family by casting her sister in her new television series The Flight Attendant.

Briana Cuoco, who is a triple threat when it comes to performing and appeared in the fifth season of The Voice in the United States back in 2013, has joined the upcoming HBO Max series as a regular role.

The Flight Attendant is a gripping show that follows flight attendant Cassandra Bowden (played by Kaley), who wakes in her hotel room hungover from the night before in Dubai with a dead body lying next to her.

Afraid to call the police, she continues her morning as if nothing happened, joining the other flight attendants and pilots traveling to the airport.

In New York, Cassie is met by FBI agents who question her about her recent layover in Dubai. Still unable to piece the night together, she begins to wonder if she could be the killer.

Deadline has announced that Briana will play Cecilia, a quirky and ambitious assistant who’s obsessed with organization and eavesdropping on calls.

Addressing the exciting casting announcement, Briana remarked on Instagram: ‘Christmas came early.’

The Flight Attendant cast appear to have become the best of friends while traveling across the world and even celebrated Thanksgiving together.

‘Thanksgiving dinner in Thailand!!! I am so grateful for this hardworking cast and crew! I love them and feel so lucky to be on this international flight together,’ Kayley said on the day.

They even threw her a party on set, when she turned 34 in the Southeast Asian country.

‘This might have been the coolest birthday to date,’ Kaley said alongside a video of herself blowing out the candles on a cake.

Vanessa Feltz suggests viewer should ‘rub her husband’s lamp’ in exchange for Christmas marriage proposal

Vanessa Feltz suggested to a viewer that she should perform a sex act on her husband to encourage him to propose to her at Christmas.

This Morning viewer Rebecca phoned in to Tuesday’s show asking for advice on how to get her man Greg to pop the question after eight years together.

She explained she had been dropping hints to him, even sending him pictures of her (ringless) left hand, but so far it hadn’t worked and for Christmas last year, Greg gave her a thermal gravy boat instead of a huge rock.

Vanessa’s recommendation was that she should get ‘saucy’ and introduce a bit of ‘panto’ into the discussion.

The perfect gift would be if he got down on one knee in front of a gorgeous Christmas tree and handed me a ring and not anything for the kitchen.

She told Vanessa and presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she planned on sitting her man down for a candlelit dinner and play him the recorded clip of herself calling into the show.

This Morning
Holly and Phil were stunned at Vanessa recommendation (Picture: ITV)

Vanessa said: ‘I’ll tell you what you could incorporate. This may be a little bit saucy but that never hurts. You could incorporate just a hint of panto and you could say to him, “New lamps for old, new lamps for old, I would happily rub your lamp if you could just make my wish come true.” Oh yes you could.’

‘I’m gonna rub all night,’ Rebecca said.

‘That’s what I’m suggesting. Give the lamp a rub,’ the presenter repeated.

‘It can make such a difference. And when he knows that you can rub it like no one else, why wouldn’t he want to marry you? That’s what I’m thinking.’

Giggling Holly said: ‘Rebecca you’re my favourite call ever, by the way.’

Also in the segment Vanessa dealt with a man who planning to give his wife a wheelie bin for Christmas. Really.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby talk workplace bullying amid rumours of This Morning ‘rift’

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby discussed workplace bullying on This Morning amid rumours the pair’s relationship has become ‘strained’.

The presenters were joined by actors Ben Miller and Susannah Fielding, the stars of new ITV drama Sticks and Stones. It follows an employee called Thomas (Ken Nwosu) who becomes increasingly convinced he is being targeted by his colleagues after he faints during an important pitch.

Ben explained that everyone was extra nice to each other on set given the topic of the show.

When asked by Holly if it was as ‘intense’ behind the camera as on screen, the actor, who plays boss Carter, explained: ‘It was the opposite filming it, because the show is about bullying everyone was going out of their way to be as nice as possible.’

His response made the presenters laugh and he continued: ‘Here’s the funny thing, with a show like this it really makes you think about the way you deal with people at work. When I’m asking somebody to do something, am I asking them in a way that’s respectful? Am I asking them in a way that is maybe verging on abusing my power.

‘We’re all having these debates at the moment about how we want to be with each other, questioning all kinds of authority, political authority…’

Ben Miller and Susannah Fielding

He also commented in the interview: ‘It’s bullying but it’s so clever because it’s really deniable bullying. It’s not the sort of thing you can ever prove.’

Susannah, who plays Isobel, added: ‘They leave post-it notes all over his desk and it sort of could be a joke. And you start to wonder maybe it is all in his head. It’s that really thin line between what’s stepping over the mark.’

The actress added that the show is ‘super relevant’.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby
Holly and Phil’s working relationship is rumoured to have become strained recently (Picture: ITV)

The segment came amid reports that some ITV presenters have ‘complained’ about Phil’s behaviour.

Holly and Phil’s working relationship is also said to have become ‘strained over recent months’, according to The Sun.

The presenters have since spoken out about rumours of a rift as Schofe called Holly his ‘best mate’.

Speaking to Newsbeat the mum-of-three said: ‘You couldn’t do the amount of hours of TV that we do with each other without getting on.’

And dad-of-two Phil said: ‘We have such a laugh. We’re best mates, she’s like the sister I never had. I just adore working with her, she’s just perfect.’

As well as This Morning the duo also front skating competition Dancing On Ice.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.

Dave Bautista makes special WWE Hall of Fame induction request

Dave Bautista wants Fit Finlay to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The former world champion has been confirmed as one of the first names for the class of 2020 – alongside nWo teammates Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman – and while fans have already speculated about who will be the one to welcome him in, it seems the Hollywood star already has someone special in mind.

Triple H, Randy Orton, Ric Flair and even D-Von Dudley have all been mentioned as possibilities, but Dave – known to wrestling fans simply as Batista – had other ideas.

He tweeted: ‘I owe a lot to all those names mentioned and many more but for personal reasons I’ve personally requested that @ringfox1 induct me into the #WWEHOF … I’m sure that anyone who knows Fit Finlay will not question my request.’

News of Dave’s upcoming induction has been warmly received by fans and contemporaries alike, and Orton – who appeared in the group Evolution alongside Batista, Flair and Triple H – had some kind words for his friend.

He wrote: ‘Been up and down the road and all over the world with @DaveBautista for nearly two decades. Huge accomplishment for him and a well-deserved honour.’

Dave – who officially retired following his brutal match with longtime friend and mentor Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque at WrestleMania 35 earlier this year – has also revealed he received a special phone call from WWE chairman Vince McMahon to personally ask if he would be up for the induction.

He told People: ‘I don’t think it’s sunk in. And I was thinking about it because I mean, it seems like a long journey, but it also feels like yesterday when I started my career. And it also feels … because I’m still working so much, it doesn’t feel like an end of a journey.’

Following what turned out to be his farewell match, Batista confirmed his retirement on social media in an emotional post thanking his fans around the world.

He wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘To all the @wwe fans across the world that gave me the opportunity to suspend your disbelief, thank you. From the biggest part of my heart thank you for letting me entertain you. Tonight was my story book ending and I wanted to leave you with all I had to give.

‘I’ll miss this theatre of violence more than I can express in words but I am officially retiring from Sports Entertainment. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, I leave in great health, and without a doubt the show will go on. I had a hell of a run. Thank you for the journey #dreamchaser #wrestlemania35.’

London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and World Cup 2018 smash TV rating list of 2010s

The winners of the 2010s ratings war has been revealed and it’s pretty safe to say – us Brits really love our sports.

In the top 10 programmes of the decade, eight are sports shows – mainly the London 2012 Olympics and the 2018 World Cup.

According to ratings site Overnights.tv, the 2012 Closing Ceremony featured the biggest and best of UK’s historical musical talent making an appearance, with The Spice Girls reuniting after decades to perform together as a five piece on the top of iconic black cabs.

Topping the list, the country was well and truly united, with 24.5million tuning in to watch the prestigious and landmark three-hour event take place, ending with The Who extinguishing the Olympic flame and Rio De Janeiro being represented as the 2016 take up the mantle.

It was half a million up on the opening ceremony, which came a close second place thanks to its video messages and mini-films that also celebrated the Best of British.

Starting with the Queen joining James Bond (Daniel Craig) on a special mission, the show set the tone with our reigning monarch “diving in to the stadium” (which we will maintain to this day is the actual queen and not a stunt double”).

World Cup 2018 also featured heavily on the list, topped overall by the gut-punching 2-1 loss against Croatia in the semi-finals that sent England home.

There were only two non-sporting events that actually managed to sneak their way into the list; the 2010 X Factor finale – where Matt Cardle was crowned winner over One Direction, and EastEnders’ 25th anniversary live episode.

EastEnders’ live special saw the reveal of who killed Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb), a whodunit that started on Christmas Day 2009 and run until the reveal on 19 February 2010, 25 years since the show began.

It was revealed that Stacey Slater had done the deed out of numerous suspects that all had motive and means to kill the evil resident of Albert Square.

The seventh series of X Factor win saw Matt Cardle reach the Christmas number one in 2010 with a cover of Biffy Clyro’s When We Collide (originally titled Many Of Horror).

He beat out a little known band called One Direction… who no one has heard of since.

Wonder whatever happened to them? Oh yeah. They took over the world – we remember now.

Rebecca Ferguson came third that year, and also remains in the industry.

TV bosses drop working title for Stranger Things season 4 – and it has left fans reeling

We can’t wait for this (Picture: Netflix)

Stranger Things fans are already getting hyped up for season four of the hit series – and bosses have finally dropped the working title for the next installment – and now we have so many questions.

According to Production Weekly, the fourth season will film under the working title Tareco, which is actually a type of Brazilian biscuit (I know we are equally confused).

The majority of filming is thought to take place in Atlanta (not Brazil) so as far as we can see there are no geographical links.

The title has obviously left fans reeling about what it could mean, will it be set in Brazil? Is Tareco the name of a new character?

One fan took to Twitter with their own thoughts about the title claiming show bosses are giving it a ‘fake name’.

Steve from Stranger Things
What does the new title mean? (Picture: Netflix/Kobal/REX)

‘My theory is that they’re giving it a fake name and saying they’re filming for Tareco instead of Stranger Things 4 so they don’t have another filming incident again where they leaked behind-the-scenes photos, but that’s just my guess,’ they explained.

Another fan responded: ‘I don’t know why though because like. leaks are gonna happen anyways especially when it’s as big of a show as it is and the fandom is as crazy as it is.’

One added: ‘Perhaps something big happens this season that they wanna protect. I Am Looking away.’

Another tweeted: ‘ I saw a picture of what was thought to be a production page with “Tareco” written on it but the description that was written was the plot of season 2 so I don’t think it’s real otherwise there would have been no description (to keep it private).’

Whatever Tareco is or means – we can’t wait to find out.

Stranger Things season 4 is expected to return in 2020.

The Grand Tour host James May approves of new Top Gear presenters – unlike Jeremy Clarkson

The Grand Tour host James May has given the new Top Gear presenters Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris is seal of approval.

James used to front Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond until 2015, before moving to Amazon Prime for their new show The Grand Tour.

The presenter thinks there is room on TV for two shows about cars, and praises Paddy, Freddie and Chris as ‘almost as good’ as he, Jeremy and Richard were back in the day.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, he said: ‘Am I allowed to say that? I like car shows.

‘I think they’re at the point…they’re almost as good as us, it’s amazing. I know Chris Harris quite well anyway, I’ve known him for 30 years probably.

‘So I like, and I like watching car shows, I don’t see why it’s a problem to have two big car shows.’

It’s a totally different opinion to that of Jeremy who recently admitted that he refuses to watch the revamped version of his old stomping ground.

There were quite a few changes to the Top Gear line-up after the original three left. Chris Evans and actor Matt LeBlanc started things off before Chris resigned in 2016.

LeBlanc fronted one more series before also deciding to step down in 2018 in order to spend more time with his family.

Paddy and Freddie were then brought in alongside Chris (Harris) and so far they have been a hit with viewers.

Top Gear is airing a Christmas special later this month which sees the trio travel all the way to Nepal.

In one of their toughest road trips ever the boys will take a voyage from Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, to the Forbidden City of Lo Manthang, a secretive kingdom on the Tibetan plateau on the far side of the Himalayas.

Meanwhile The Grand Tour’s fourth season kicks off very soon as James, Jeremy and Richard return for a series of special road trips.

The first special, called Seamen, takes the hosts across some rough waters in Vietnam an experience James described as ‘an utter misery’ to shoot.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.

Kit Harington has spoken out after the Golden Globes failed to nominate his hit show Game Of Thrones for any awards for the 2020 ceremony.

Except for one, that is – and that’s for his performance!

The actor, who played Jon Snow for eight years in the iconic series, is up for the best performance by an actor in a television series, drama gong.

He will compete against Rami Malek for Mr. Robot, Brian Cox for Succession, Billy Porter for Pose and Tobias Menzies for The Crown.

Kit told The Hollywood Reporter he ‘didn’t expect to be nominated’ for the award in 2020.

‘I thought the show might be, but I was just at home, learning lines, and then my publicists called,’ he explained.

‘It was very unexpected and wonderful.’

He added that he was ‘sad’ no one else from the show got a nod, saying: ‘Obviously I wanted everyone to be nominated, and I feel like they should, as anyone who loves their show and loves their cast and crew would feel and want.

‘I’m happy for my nomination… so I’ll represent the show on my own. I’ll do my best.’

What a gent.

Game Of Thrones’ absence from the Golden Globes shortlist follows this year’s final season, which was met with a decidedly mixed critical reception.

Season eight – which concluded on 19 May after six episodes – scored a middling 56% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Golden Globes will take place on 5 January 2020.

Best of luck, Kit!

Tom Welling’s Smallville character Clark Kent gets the perfect send-off in Crisis On Infinite Earths

WARNING Spoiler alert: The following contains spoilers for Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 2.

Smallville fans can look forward to seeing Tom Welling’s character Clark Kent for one last time on The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earth.

The first episode titled, Batwoman aired in the US earlier this week and his appearance served as the perfect send-off to his Smallville character – as he appears as Clark – but not dressed as Superman.

Mind. Blown.

The 42-year-old will be heading back to the farm, although it’ll be rather strange not to see him with any powers.

The first episode will see Tom tending to the family farm in the Smallville of Earth-167 when he’s approached by Earth-38’s very own Clark Kent and Lois Lane (Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch) and Earth-1’s Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton), who are seeking his help to save the multiverse from the threat of the Anti-Monitor and his antimatter wave.

Although much to their surprise Earth-38’s Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) arrives through his multiversal portal where he stands face-to-face with Clark.

Lex, who is set on destroying their mission is shocked to discover the radioactive rock has no effect on Clark (because he is no longer Superman).

We can’t wait to see him back in action (Photo by Warner Bros TV/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)

Clark explained that he gave up his powers to move from being a superhero to be a husband and father.

Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries explained to Entertainment Weekly that their big decision felt ‘natural’.

‘We had conversations about how to best see Tom again. We knew that we really wanted Brandon Routh as Clark Kent in the Daily Planet,’ she explained.

‘I think the Tom Welling’s Clark Kent that we all kind of picture when we think of him, is Clark on the farm. So it made sense. The farm is still there. It all felt very 10 years ago in a great way. To us, it just felt natural that that’s kind of his natural environment where we’d see him.’

And we’ll be finding out exactly what the journalist turned superhero has been up to in the eight years since his show ended.

‘For eight years, Arrow has stood on the shoulders of Smallville,’ producer Marc Guggenheim said in a statement to EW.

‘Simply put, there would be no Arrow, and no Arrowverse, without it. So when we first started talking about Crisis On Infinite Earths, our first, second and third priorities were getting Tom
to reprise his iconic role as Clark Kent.

‘To say that we’re thrilled would be a Superman-sized understatement.’

Crisis On Infinite Earths began in the US on 8 December, The episodes will air on Sky One and NOW TV in the UK, except for Batwoman, which does not currently have a UK broadcaster.

The truth behind chilling Netflix series The Confession Killer as murderer Henry Lee Lucas claims he killed hundreds of people

Netflix's latest true crime series The Confession Killer could be their most sinister doc yet
Henry Lee Lucas claimed he killed hundreds of missing people at random (Picture: Netflix)

*Contains spoilers*

Netflix has just dropped a new chilling series – and fans just can’t get enough of it.

The Confession Killer documents the case of murderer Henry Lee Lucas and it could well be the most baffling and sinister story we have ever heard (and seen).

Lucas was convicted of the murder of his mother in 1960, and then two others in 1983. But at this time, he started declaring he had killed hundreds of other people.

Texas Rangers worked closely with Lucas, who ‘solved’ dozens of seemingly unconnected cases as he claimed he would kill ‘at random’ over the course of eight years.

However, people are soon quick to question both his confessions, which were often highly detailed, and whether or not they’re the truth.

If he is to be believed, his kill count goes beyond that of some of the world’s most known serial killers…but to this day, he’s only truly been convicted of 11 more people.

Netflix's latest true crime series The Confession Killer could be their most sinister doc yet
Fans have been left divided (Picture: Netflix)

The new series examines just what went on in the investigation, and how he darkly embraced an almost celebrity persona as his case became more famous.

Befriending the police force who were trying to convict him, he would be given fast food, strawberry milkshakes and lived a much more comfortable life than the one he had as a drifter.

Speaking to relatives of the victims he claimed to have killed, it becomes clear that some, while they want to believe the case is solved, simply don’t believe that he did it.

Lucas went on to take back many of his confessions, as he claimed that police bribed him with food – and exclaimed how they provided him with new information about some of the crimes so that his confessions would be more convincing.

DNA tests discovered that he was not guilty of at least 20 of the murders.

Many of the murder cases to which he had previously confessed were never reopened by police.

The Confession Killer directors Robert and Taki hope that their Netflix series will help bring the pain these families still feel to light.

‘We met with a lot of victims’ family members,’ Robert told The Guardian.

‘They’re still in pain — they want to know what happened to their loved ones … Justice was denied by what happened. And there’s a chance to reopen it, and I’m hoping the juries will and the series can bring about some comfort to the victims’ family members.’

Fans have also taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the new series.

The Confession Killer is available to watch on Netflix.

We’re not crying you are! (Pictures: Kyle Jenner/Caitlyn Jenner/Instagram)

Caitlyn Jenner may not have been greeted by any of her family members as she left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! – but they have certainly made up for it.

Despite having one of the most famous families in the world, the 70-year-old was not greeted by any of them as she left the jungle on Friday.

But Caitlyn didn’t seem too fussed about the snub as she shared an adorable post about her daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner as they welcomed her home.

The former olympian was greeted to a room full of balloons that read ‘welcome home’ – and we think it’s possibly the sweetest thing ever.

She simply captioned the photo: ‘Thank you my baby’s @kendalljenner @kyliejenner.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B55lJ10lRNA/

Caitlyn was also spotted at the airport as she arrived home with pal Sophia Hutchins.

Looking relaxed as ever, she donned her sunglasses and was casually dressed in a pink blouse, blue jeans, and trainers.

Caitlyn was booted out of the ITV jungle on Friday night’s show, in a savage double elimination with Nadine Coyle.

However, Sophia was not on hand to greet the athlete, with daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner also nowhere to be seen, leaving viewers in tears.

She looks happy to be home (Picture: Backgrid)

But it’s not all bad news, as she got a warm welcome from her former campmates when she arrived at the luxurious Palazzo Versace hotel – with Ian Wright and Andrew Maxwell on hand to cheer her on.

‘Just got out of the jungle and actually getting hair and make-up done – boy, do I need it, I haven’t had it in weeks,’ Caitlyn shared.

‘When I got out of the jungle I had a lot of friends there, but I had a big surprise when I got back to the hotel – Sophia’s here! Yay!’

Caitlyn broke down in tears upon her exit, as she admitted she lasted longer than she assumed she would.

She told Ant and Dec: ‘I came here to test myself, obviously I did the show 16 years ago. I turned 70, thought what a challenge? ‘I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, I didn’t think I’d make it to the next night.’

Composing herself after Ant handed her a tissue, she continued: ‘I met some of the greatest people. There wasn’t one person who was causing problems, everyone was helpful.

‘I hate to leave them behind for another day and a half.’

You can watch I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here on the ITV hub.

She shared a snap of herself in character on her Instagram page, and Morgan’s outfit of choice is definitely powerful.

Marvel’s Runaways was one of the last live-action series under the Marvel Television banner. All of the other TV series, such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, were previously axed ahead of the launch of Disney’s streaming service Disney+. They were previously being shown on Netflix.

The description of the new series reveals that the young heroes Alex, Nico, Karolina, Chase, Gert and Molly will be ‘fighting what they fear’.

Marvel’s Runaways airs 13 December on Hulu.
