Model Lauryn Goodman names footballer Kyle Walker as father of unborn child after discovering she’s 5 months pregnant

Model Lauryn Goodman has opened up about the shock of being five months pregnant with Kyle Walker’s baby, despite being told by doctors that she was unable to have children because of her endometriosis diagnosis.

The 29-year-old discovered she was pregnant in November, although she decided to keep the father of her ‘miracle’ baby a secret, until now.

Lauryn appeared on The Victoria Derbyshire Show on Wednesday where she told the host the exact moment she found out the news.

‘I just went for a routine kidney test, and the nurse was scanning my organs, and she just turned around and said “Congratulations”,’ she began.

‘I asked her, “what do you mean?” and she said “On your baby, your pregnancy”, and she turned the monitor around and there was a full-on baby in front of me.’

The Instagram model went on to explain that she was sick of people pestering her about the baby’s father, so she finally gave in and revealed it was England footballer Kyle Walker.

She continued: ‘My manager was asking me what I wanted to do, and I had no idea, I wondered if I could deny if I was pregnant.

‘But I thought I would say whose baby it was so I could get it out of the way and raise awareness for endometriosis and having polycystic ovaries.

‘Maybe selfishly, I wanted to keep the baby to myself for a bit, have a bit of me-time, but then I wanted people to know why it was such a special pregnancy.’

The host asked Lauryn about Kyle’s involvement – and she insisted that she wanted to keep that part private.

When asked about Kyle’s planned involvement with raising the child, Lauryn said that she wanted to keep it private.

She added: ‘I’ve seen so many strong women be single mums so I think it will be okay.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Kyle Walker’s rep for comment.

The Victoria Derbyshire Show airs weekdays on BBC Two at 10am.

Love Island spoilers: Paige fumes in game-changing moment as she learns Finn’s head turned in Casa Amor

Love Island’s Paige Turley is about to get one heck of a shock during the dating show’s juicy headline challenge.

The 22-year-old recently went official with her beau Finley Tapp – seeing them become the first boyfriend and girlfriend of the season.

However, in tonight’s episode, the singer will learn her almost perfect man had his head turned in Casa Amor.

During the headline game, where contestants have to guess what big stories have made the news, Paige is faced with a game-changing fact about her other half.

A short advert for the upcoming installment, shows the group taking in a headline that reads: ‘Casa Amor causes Callum, Finn, and Nas’ head to turn on tonight’s Love Island.’

And Paige was not having it, as she sat up straight while shouting at Finn: ‘There are cameras and people watching.’

The headline was relating to the time Finn had a ‘cheeky chat’ with new bombshell Natalia during one of the first days of Casa Amor.

After that, however, Finn realised he was all loved up and even slept in the day beds for his time in the other villa.

The couple have grown extremely close to each other during their time on the show, with viewers at home convinced they’ve ‘done bits’.

Finn opened up to Luke’s T and M about his after dark antics…but the whole thing was wrapped in a breakfast food analogy so convoluted, even Shakespeare would struggle to keep up.

However, it may not be plain sailing for the couple – Metro.co.uk‘s body language expert Judi James doesn’t think Finn should be trusted.

‘Trust no one,’ she warned: ‘Before we announce Finley as the Patron Saint of Ideal Manhood we might need to remember how others we have loved in that villa this season were quickly moved into the villain zone.’

She pointed out ‘trustworthy’ Mike, and ‘vulnerable, genuine’ Nas, as well as ‘naïve’ Callum.

‘Like all the fans I am currently team Finn but only because I’m hoping he might be the best game-player in the villa and cleverly pulling the high ground away from under the feet of other players in there.’

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island’s Jamie Clayton ruffles feathers as he confronts Callum Jones again over Shaughna Phillips dumping

Jamie Clayton has only been in the Love Island villa a matter of minutes, but he’s already ruffling everyone’s feathers.

After stirring up drama by whisking singletons Shaughna Phillips and Demi Jones out on dates, he is setting his sights on another awkward chat with Callum Jones.

On last night’s episode, the 28-year-old revealed his intentions to have a talk with the scaffolder over his behaviour in Casa Amor – and his antics with Molly Smith.

They then had a brief chat on the day bed and laughed the drama off, but it seems Jamie still has more to get off his chest.

And, despite barely having his first layer of sun cream on, he wastes no time in having it out with the Love Island OG.

In tonight’s instalment, he tells Callum: ‘If I was going to be brutally honest, if I had any mates that were potentially thinking about swaying, I’d probably be like, “Look mate, hold back.”’

Having none of it, he replied: ‘To me, it wasn’t a decision – “is it Shaughna or is it Molly?”

‘As soon as I clicked, I thought this is right for me.’

Jamie then admits: ‘For me, it’s beneficial, I never want Shaughna to go through what she has gone through.’

While it’s unclear whether this will impress Shauaghna or put her off, Natalia also might have her eye on the newbie, as she pulls him for a chat of her own.

Honestly, what is happening?!

Jamie made a good first impression on Shaughna during their date, dropping a few clangers that left the 25-year-old – and the rest of us – pretty speechless.

When asking if he was a scaffolder, or related to any scaffolders, he explained that he is a ‘plasterer and tiler by trade’.

So far, so good for the unlucky-in-love democratic services officer, who joked: ‘So if I’ve got a ceiling fallen through, you’re my guy?’

Not even bothering to miss the opportunity, he cheekily replied: ‘Listen, any holes you need to be filled, I’m your guy.’

Jamie clearly impressed Shaughna, as she ran back to the villa to tell the girls: ‘He was firing some banter back. Kind of left me a little bit speechless to be completely honest.

‘Anyone that leaves me speechless is doing well.’

But has she spoken too soon?

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.

Frankie Bridge feared husband would be happier without her after losing weight during her depression

The Saturday’s Frankie Bridge has spoken out on her mental health battle, which made the singer believe her husband would be happier without her.

To promote her new book Open: Why Asking for Help Can Save Your Life, the 31-year-old appeared on Loose Women alongside her man, Wayne.

Here the duo got candid about their marriage and how the What About Us hitmaker’s depression affected their relationship.

‘I didn’t really know about [Frankie’s depression] at the beginning,’ the famous footballer confessed: ‘It was one particular day.’

His wife interrupted: ‘There was quite a build-up, but you bought me the wrong yoghurt and it tipped me over the edge.’

‘I know she was in a band and at times she found it hard,’ the sportsman added: ‘But it was just one day I was like, “you need help,” so we called a GP.’

The panelists pushed the couple on whether or not Frankie feared for her husband when he was helping her get through a difficult time.

She confessed: ‘For Wayne, I often feel, I love him, of course, he’s my husband, but I think his life would have been easier and a lot nicer if he met someone that didn’t have mental health problems.

‘It was a massive learning curve for you, you lost a lot of weight around that time.’

Frankie and Wayne Bridge
Frankie’s husband lost weight throughout her mental health battle.

Stressing his worry, the 39-year-old admitted: ‘I wanted to help, but I never had the answers, she had to sort it out on her own – which was hard because you feel you’re not wanted.’

He went onto say how he saw Frankie’s psychiatrist, which helped him navigate his own life during the dark period.

‘We have been together 10 years now,’ the pop star said: ‘And I’d say really only the last few years we’ve got good at talking to each other.’

The mother-of-two recently spoke to Metro about her mental health, where she told them: ‘I was probably at rock bottom for a while but that was the moment which pushed me over the edge.

‘Wayne was like, “This can’t carry on, you need help,” and he took the reins for me for a bit. I was lucky to have him to do that because I don’t know what I would have done.’

Loose Women continues weekdays at 12.30 on ITV.

Teen Mom star Rachel Beaver discovered she was pregnant again, less than six months after the birth of her first child.

The 17-year-old’s journey into motherhood has been documented on the latest series of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant.

And 22 weeks after the birth of her daughter Hazelee, Rachel found out she was pregnant again.

In this week’s episode of Teen Mom, the teenager was seen taking a pregnancy test with a friend, before emerging from the bathroom to sit beside her mother, Stephanie.

She told her daughter: ‘It’s two for pregnant Rachel, and one for not pregnant’ – and two lines came up on the test.

Rachel exclaimed: ‘Oh my f***ing God, do not tell me… No! I’m literally gonna cry’, storming off to another room while her mother began to cry on the couch.

The reality star then rang her boyfriend Koty to tell him: ‘I’m pregnant.’

He asked: ‘How do you know?’, with Rachel replying: ‘I just took a test. What the f*** am I supposed to do?’

Koty said: ‘I don’t want you to f***ing kill it, obviously.’

His girlfriend continued: ‘I’m literally flipping out, I don’t know what to do. I literally already have a kid, she’s not even… what the f***?’

Rachel’s mother later said: ‘I knew you weren’t being safe, I’ve asked you to get on birth control, I’ve asked you and asked you and asked you.’

Stephanie on Teen Mom

And Rachel seemed distressed by the thought of having another child, saying: ‘I literally feel like the dumbest b**** on this earth.

‘I can’t go through this again, I literally can’t.’

However, when she said there were ‘options’, her mother said of getting an abortion: ‘You’d regret it for the rest of your life.’

This episode was filmed months ago, and judging by pictures on Rachel’s Instagram, she is no longer pregnant.

The MTV star’s daughter Hazelee, who she had with ex-boyfriend Drew, will turn one later this month.

When she joined Teen Mom, Rachel didn’t know whether her baby’s father was Drew, or his best friend Jacob, as she had been on and off between them.

It turned out to be Drew, but Rachel continued to date Jacob, and her mother was worried that she would become pregnant again after she stopped using birth control.

Rachel said: ‘I was [using birth control] at first, but condoms are too f***ing expensive and I’m a broke b****, and I ain’t paying for that s***.’

Teen Mom is on Tuesdays in the US on MTV.

Love Island bosses cut summer series by two weeks – and it has always been planned that way

The winter series of Love Island isn’t even over yet, but TV bosses will cut the summer series by two weeks – and apparently they had always planned it this way.

According to an ITV spokesperson, tthe summer series was shortened from eight weeks to six because they had introduced the winter version for the first time ever.

Meaning the current series and the summer series would each run for six weeks.

Got it?

When Love Island originally began back in June 2015 (what did even watch before then?) the reality show ran for six weeks, although over the years it got so popular that they had to extend it.

In 2017 the series grew by an extra 12 episodes – and this season was the one where producers introduced Casa Amor into the show.

Despite ratings taking a dive, the winter Love Island has seen so much drama (Picture ITV Picture Desk)
The fourth series began on 4 June 2018 and launched with a record 4,050,000 viewers, making it the most-watched digital channel TV programme since the 2012 Summer Olympics aired on BBC Three.

The series concluded on 30 July 2018 and was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, who received a record-breaking 79.66% of the final vote.

The 2019 series had even more fans after gaining a record-breaking 4,700,000 viewers, the most for any ITV2 broadcast.

Love Island
The show has seen a few tears but also lots of laughs (Photo by ITV/REX)

However, ratings appeared to take a nosedive during the new winter series after viewing figures dropped for the first time since the show began.

The nation’s fave dating show returned looking a bit different thanks to its new country, new villa and new host.

And it seemed like fans took a little bit of time to adjust to tuning in January, with 2.51 million people tuning to watch.

A spokesperson for Love Island told Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘Love Island launched with an average audience of 2.5m – 2.8m when viewing on non-TV devices is included – and a peak of almost 3m [2.9m] and a 13.2 % audience share.

‘Its 16-34 audience was 32% bigger than the next biggest programme on any channel so far in 2020 (EastEnders on New Year’s Day had 0.9m viewers).’

Love Island airs daily at 9pm on ITV2.

The Vivienne hits out at Divina De Campo over shady comment about RuPaul’s Drag Race winners

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star The Vivienne has publicly hit out at Divina De Campo after she indirectly threw shade at her snatching the series crown.

It all kicked off between the pair after Divina claimed she wasn’t surprised that she didn’t win the show and become the UK’s first drag superstar.

‘I don’t think I fit the model that RuPaul likes,’ the red-headed queen said in an interview with QX magazine. ‘He likes people who are cut-throat and will smash your kneecaps in, in order to win – that’s not me.’

While Divina didn’t directly namedrop, The Vivienne wasn’t so pleased after she read her comments and called her out on Twitter, and raged: ‘Smash your knee caps in, in order to win. I won that show fair and square. Constantly discrediting my win. GROW UP.’

C’mon ladies, play nice.

The Vivienne's tweet

The Vivienne beat Divina De Campo to the top spot in a nail-biting final, which saw Baga Chipz take third place.

The final three were put through their paces in the last mega challenge, which saw them learn dance routines from Strictly’s AJ Pritchard and Love Island brother Curtis Pritchard, as well as appear on RuPaul and Michelle Visage’s podcast, What’s The Tee?

Finally, they had to come up with their own lyrics to RuPaul’s Rock It [To The Moon].

Speaking after being given the crown, The Vivienne, real name James Lee Williams, put on her Donald Trump voice one last time and said: ‘It’s been absolutely great. It’s been tremendous. Thank you!’

Back in November, Divina has admitted that she found the whole thing hard, and almost quit after some harsh critique from Michelle Visage.

She also told how the audience didn’t see parts of the show and revealed how it made her look like a ‘crazy person’ – which made her question her position in the competition.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Netflix is yet to announce a second season of Cheer – despite the popular demand.

But while we eagerly wait for any news on another installment, star of the show Gabi Butler has got us all excited by confirming her return to the Navarro squad.

The season finale made it look as though the 22-year-old was moving on from the college after they reigned supreme at Daytona.

However, it seems as though she has landed safely back in the hands of her coach Monica Aldama.

Taking to Instagram, the cheerlebrity shared a picture of herself posing next to her ‘second mum’.

Cheer's Gabi Butler and Monica
Gabi praised her coach Monica in an Instagram post (Picture: @gabibutler)

In the caption, she wrote: ‘Getting the chance to be coached by you one last time is truly a blessing. You are always gonna be like a second mom to me. I love you Monica… this one’s for you #lastonebestone.’

And Monica was quick to reply, as she told her student: ‘Gabi!! I love you so much! Can’t wait for round three! Last one best one!’

Fans were quick to notice her reveal, with one quizzing the cheerleader: ‘Wait so you’re back at Navarro??????’

‘YESSSSS GABBIIIII IS BACK!!!!!’ another squealed while someone else added: ‘We knew she’d be back!’

Netflix's Cheer squad
Fans of Cheer have been begging for a season two (Picture: Getty Images)

Since the show landed on the popular streaming site, fans have not stopped begging Netflix to start work on a second season.

However, according to Decider, this might not be possible – as alleged new rules from the National Cheerleaders Association have reportedly changed their code of conduct to ‘prevent teams from getting a let up’ by appearing in the media.

But Monica has since shut these rumours down by saying: ‘Please know that no rules have been changed as those are the same as last year.

‘Varsity has always been supportive of us and are always there for anything we need. Let’s stop sharing those news stories because they do not contain accurate information.’

The future of the show may be shakey, but as the squad says It Can, It Must, It Will (happen!).

Season one of Cheer is available to stream on Netflix now.

Mama June may have first shot to stardom on Toddlers And Tiara’s alongside her daughter Honey Boo Boo, but it looks like she won’t be making any money from her new reality series.

The reality star, real name June Shannon, is the titular attraction of the show Mama June From Not To Hot: Family Crisis, but it seems like she won’t be involved in the programme, so won’t be pocketing any cash from it.

According to TMZ, sources say that Mama June will not be an active participant in the new series of the show.

Despite being, as the site claims, a ‘central figure of the story,’ the 40-year-old will not be sitting down for camera interviews, so won’t be paid.

This call comes nearly a year after Shannon was arrested for drug possession by police in Alabama last year, alongside her boyfriend Geno Doak.

Doak was arrested for domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, while Mama June was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The pair have been dating for three years, and their relationship has played out on her reality show From Not To Hot.

June has previously described Geno as her ‘best friend and her rock’ and in season two of her reality show, she was seen telling her boyfriend she wants to get married.

The arrest seems to have started something of a family feud, as in recent months its emerged that the star has had ‘no contact’ with her children.

he shared the snap of her sitting in a car with her 477,000 followers, telling them: ‘Well decided to get back at it im not saying im.perfect as everyday is a struggle n some days i just want to disappear [sic].

‘N even though me n kids arent still seeing each other n its veen very hard on all of us but i hope one day that will cgange as i want them to know i miss n love them very much [sic].’

The post, which was littered with typos, confirmed she still hasn’t had much contact with her children, including 14-year-old Alana Thompson, known as Honey Boo Boo.

‘None of her daughters are talking to her at this point, including Alana,’ a source previously told E!. ‘They’ve cut her off.’

Let’s hope that the new series of From Not to Hot helps heal this feud – although seeing as its named Family Crisis, we’re not so sure.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Mama June’s rep for comment.

Mama June From Not To Hot: Family Crisis airs on TLC in the US in March.

Brassic confirmed for series 3 as series 2 trailer finally arrives – and we’re overjoyed

Christmas has officially arrived early as not only has the Brassic series two trailer arrived, but the comedy-drama has also been confirmed for series three.

How’s that for good news?

The hit Sky show from Misfit’s Joseph Gilgun and Bafta-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst will be returning for another chapter after series two airs in May, meaning we’ve got a whole load more to see of Vinnie, the gang and their hilarious antics.

‘I’m so grateful to everyone involved in the making of Brassic season one and two, they’re some of the kindest and most resilient people I’ve had the pleasure of working with,’ Gilgun said of the news.

‘Each and every one of them friends.’

Brassic's Joe Gilgun

The sky comedy returns in May (Picture: Sky)

He continued: ‘Also the public played a huge role, it’s very relieving to know your life story isn’t incredibly boring. I want to thank my close friends and colleagues and the creative team; David Livingstone, Danny Brocklehurst, Emily Bray and Dave Quayle.

‘As for Sky, I couldn’t imagine making it with any other channel. Big loves Monty and Bennett!’

Meanwhile, Brocklehurst added: ‘I couldn’t be more thrilled to be doing a third series of Brassic, the response to series one was overwhelming as people took our gang of potty-mouthed misfits to their heart.

‘Sky has been truly amazing in its love and support and I can’t thank them enough for allowing us to go again.’

The second series of Brassic looks to be twice as funny as its predecessor, with Vinnie going undercover after faking his own death – albeit, badly.

Of course, there are major setbacks too, with the professional thieves facing threats for owing £10,000 in cash with just days to pay it all back.

Brassic returns to Sky and NOW TV in May.

Game Of Thrones cast members John Bradley and Mark Addy have been cast in Sky’s Urban Myths (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones’ John Bradley is set to play iconic comedian Les Dawson in the upcoming fourth series of Sky’s Urban Myths alongside fellow Thrones star Mark Addy.

John, who played Samwell Tarly in the epic saga, has been cast in the first episode of Urban Myths, titled Les Dawon’s Parisienne Adventure, with the Robert Baratheon actor and Inside No. 9 writer Steve Pemberton and – and we can’t wait.

The episode tells the story of the well-loved stand-up comedian’s adventures in Paris in the mid-1950s.

Inspired by his heroes – the writers Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus – a young Les Dawson (played by Bradley) left his home in Manchester to live in Paris in order to pursue his dream of becoming a serious novelist.

Unfortunately, things didn’t quite work out as he planned, and he ended up becoming a pianist in a brothel.

Quite a far cry from Westeros, huh?

Game Of Thrones ended after an eight-year reign last year, with many demanding a remake.

Back in December, John revealed that fantasy series left him with ‘performance anxiety’ and caused a stammer when he was auditioning for new roles.

‘When I was in character I developed a stammer that I wasn’t in control of and it’s hard enough to be an actor anyway without having to read a script the night before you were going to do it and thinking that’s really going to trip me up tomorrow and the more you think about it the worse it gets,’ he said on The Blank Podcast.

‘Towards the end of that journey, that stammer would turn up in non-Sam acting and I’d do auditions when I’d stammer because it just seemed like the default place that I went to when I acted.’ He added: I think people thought it was part of me but it wasn’t, but it was performance anxiety.’

The new season of Urban Myths is made up of four parts, with episodes dedicated to Jimi Hendrix and George Frideric Handel, Barbara Streisand and Joan Rivers, and Orson Welles.

The cast boasts of a number of big names, including Bafta-winning actor Robbie Coltrane who plays Welles, and Katherine Ryan who is starring as Rivers.

Urban Myths series 4 will air on Sky Arts and NOW TV.

Jude Law is at the helm of the world’s first-ever immersive TV drama which is set to debut on Sky in May.

The Young Pope actor will star alongside Naomie Harris in brand new series The Third Day, which is a ground-breaking project that tells three, stand-alone but interconnected stories, not only on screen but also in a live, immersive event.

The first part, titled Summer, follows Jude’s character Sam, a man who is drawn to a mysterious island off the British coast where he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost.

Following Summer, viewers will get the chance to become part of The Third Day world at a major immersive theatre event.

Created by Punchdrunk and directed by Felix Barrett, audiences will inhabit the story as it happens, live. As places will be limited, audiences will also be able to follow the events online.

Naomie Harris
Naomie Harris also stars in The Third Day (Picture: Sky)

The Third Day then concludes with Winter, which will be told over a further three episodes on Sky Atlantic and Now TV.

The episodes follow Naomie’s character Helen, a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island seeking answers, but whose arrival precipitates a fractious battle to decide its fate.

Each story can be experienced separately, with Summer and Winter working together as a complete series – but all three parts together describe a larger narrative, creating a unique experience for those who seek it.

Sounds intriguing, right?

Co-creator and writer, Dennis Kelly, enthused: ‘I wanted to make a series that was unsettling and disturbing but that also spoke to fears that ran deeper than horror.

‘The themes of the Third Day have long been obsessions of mine – it is about loss and hope and how both of those things can distort the mind in surprising and brutal ways.’

We can’t wait for this one.

The Third Day launches on Sky in May.

What’s going on with Mike and Shaughna in Love Island?

Love Island's Mike Boateng and Shaughna Phillips
Love Island’s Mike Boateng and Shaughna Phillips clash in tonight’s Love Island (Pictures: ITV)

Things between Mike Boateng and Shaughna Phillips don’t seem to be going too well on Love Island, with a preview showing the copper having a strong word or two for the democratic services officer.

In a first-look for tonight’s episode, Shaughna clashed with Mike Boateng in the next challenge, in which he he tells her to ‘shut up’.

Not exactly the best vibes.

But this isn’t the first time the pair have locked horns.

If you want to know more about the pair and their history, and why Mike’s spoken in such a way to Sean Paul’s favourite, then read on, because we’ve kept a very close eye…

What’s going on between Shaughna and Mike?

Things haven’t always been smooth sailing between Mike and Shaughna.

Beef between the pair started brewing when, during a challenge, Shaughna was tasked with kissing the islander who she thought was the biggest ‘game-player’ and she chose Mike.

Subsequently, the pair had a chat and it all seemed like water under the bridge.

Afterwards, it was mostly peaceful between the two, although Shaughna did express a bit of distaste when, after Leanne dumped Mike, he made mad moves for first Sophie and then Jess – even though he eventually settled on Priscilla after Casa Amor.

Now however, in the teaser clip for Wednesday’s episode, Shaughna appears to ruffle Mike’s feathers after she reads out a headline and takes aim at him as she guesses which islander the headline is about.

‘Love Island’s [blank] branded a snake after his reaction to Shaughna being brutally dumped by Callum’, she reads out.

Commenting on the savage headline, Shaughna then tells the islanders: ‘Some people forget they’re mic’d and on a TV show.’

But Mike isn’t taking that lying down and, as the camera pans to him, he claps back.

‘No shut up man, it’s not a game anymore,’ Mike replies angrily. ‘That’s taking the p***.’

Some viewers are taking aim at Shaughna over the exchange, with one fan tweeting: ‘although mike isn’t my favorite… i’m on his side with the shaughna situation. she’s so rude to him for no reason and he’s nothing but nice to her.’ [sic]

However other fans might remember that Mike teamed up with Finn in Casa Amor when it came to egging Callum on to choose newcomer Molly Smith over Shaughna.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Is Jeremy Bamber still alive and is he still in prison for the White House Farm murders?

The final episode of White House Farm will see Jeremy Bamber facing trial (Picture: ITV)

ITV drama White House Farm comes to an end on Wednesday night, having gripped viewers with its dramatisation of the true-life murders at the Essex farmhouse, and the trial that followed.

Wednesday night’s series finale will see Jeremy Bamber (Freddie Fox), facing trial for the murders of his family members following the evidence given by his girlfriend Julie (Alexa Davies) which changed the face of the whole case.

In real life, of course, Bamber was found guilty of killing five members of his family – but is he still alive today, and is he still in prison?

Here’s what you need to know…

Is Jeremy Bamber still alive?

Jeremy Bamber is still alive, and is now 58 years old.

He was convicted of the murders of his adopted parents Nevill and June Bamber, their adopted daughter Sheila Caffell and her six-year-old twin sons Daniel and Nicholas, which occurred at White House Farm in Essex on the night of 6-7 August 1985.

Initially police thought Sheila, who had been receiving treatment for schizophrenia and had spent time in a psychiatric hospital, had killed them in a psychotic episode before turning the gun on herself.

However they began to have doubts based on the evidence that she was not the killer, while the new evidence given by Bamber’s girlfriend Julie Mugford, claiming that Bamber had been planning the murders for some time in a bid to claim his inheritance, led to his arrest.

Is Jeremy Bamber still in prison?

Bamber was sentenced to five life terms in prison, with a recommendation that he serves a minimum of 25 years.

However that was extended to a whole life tariff in 1994, with then Home Secretary Michael Howard telling him he would never be released.

He has attempted to appeal his conviction and his sentence on several occasions, but has proven unsuccessful,

Despite this Bamber has his supporters, who are convinced he is innocent and have campaigned for him to have a retrial.

Some of his supporters have theorised that Sheila was responsible for the killings on account of her condition – while others have claimed there was no physical evidence to link Bamber to the events of that night.

BBC responds to Doctor Who backlash over Time Lord’s reaction to Graham’s cancer fears

The BBC has responded to criticism after a cancer scene in last week’s episode of Doctor Who sparked a backlash from audiences.

Viewers were left disappointed after Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor didn’t know how to respond to Graham (played by Bradley Walsh) when he revealed his worries about his cancer returning.

Rather than offering him a shoulder to cry on, the Time Lord explained that she was too ‘socially awkward’ to deal with the situation at their conversation ended, leaving some fans unsettled.

The Beeb has now released a statement regarding the scenes from the episode titled Can You Hear Me? and insisted that the Doctor’s response was not intended to be ‘dismissive’.

‘We never set out to upset our viewers with what we show and this episode tackled some sensitive themes,’ they began. ‘The episode used dreams and nightmares to explore the inner lives of the companions.

‘Thanks to Zellin’s nightmare powers, Ryan, Yaz, and Graham were forced to confront their worst fears, many of which relate to the way traveling with the Doctor has changed their lives.’

The statement – issued to Radio Times – continued: ‘When Graham opened up to the Doctor about his fear of his cancer returning her response was never meant to be dismissive. The Doctor’s friend was scared, and we see her struggling to deal with the severity of the situation.

‘The intention of the scene was to acknowledge how hard it can be to deal with conversations on this subject matter. When faced with these situations, people don’t always have the right words to say at the right time, and this can often lead to feelings of guilt.

‘By showing the Doctor struggling to find the right words, the intention was to sympathise with all those who may have found themselves in a similar position.

‘We hope this has helped to address your concerns, but please be assured your feedback has been raised with the programme’s Executive Producer.’

Doctor Who continues on Sunday at 7.10pm on BBC One.

Chris Evans cracked a joke about his Top Gear presenting stint as he congratulated current host Freddie Flintoff and how good he is in the driving seat.

The radio host infamously took over the car programme alongside Friends star Matt LeBlanc as hosts following Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond’s departure, however, stepped down from the helm after just one series.

Speaking at the Sky’s Up Next showcase event at the Tate Modern, Chris proved that he can have a laugh at his own expense as he praised Freddie for helping to bring back the show to its best.

After Chris’ exit from Top Gear, Matt joined Chris Harris and Rory Reid until 2019, when it was announced that Paddy McGuinness, Freddie and Chris would takeover and front the show’s new era.

Chris’ light-hearted remark was dropped at the Sky’s Up Next event, which delved into a range of exciting new content that’s coming up on the platform over the next few months.

It was there were it was revealed that Jude Law will be at the helm of the world’s first-ever immersive TV drama The Third Day, a ground-breaking project that tells three, stand-alone but interconnected stories, not only on screen but also in a live, immersive event.

Love Island: Fans question Jamie Clayton’s motives for pulling Callum Jones for a chat over brutal Shaughna Phillips dumping

Jamie Love Island
Fans are questioning Jamie’s decision to call out Callum for how he dumped Shaughna (Picture: Rex)

Love Island fans are questioning newcomer Jamie Clayton’s reasons for pulling Callum Jones for a chat over the way he handled dumping Shaughna Phillips.

Callum had ditched Shaughna for model Molly Smith during his stint in Casa Amor and he certainly didn’t hold back when it came to getting to know his new flame.

Jamie slammed Callum for going about things in the wrong way, compared to Nas Majeed who waited to kiss Eva Zapico until he’d had a chance to speak to Demi Jones.

Taking it upon himself to tell Callum that what he did was disrespectful to Shaughna during Wednesday night’s episode, Jamie had words with the scaffolder and, well, viewers watching were confused.

One fan tweeted: ‘Jamie has barely met Callum and he feels it’s right to talk to him like Jamie is his farther. Callum should not be told off for how he feels. If he had feelings for Molly and the spark wasn’t there with Shaugna she should accept that and move on. (sic)’

Another said: ‘And Jamie thinks it’s his place to pull Callum because?? #loveisland.’

A third wrote: ‘ Did I miss something? Why’s Jamie acting like he said something profound to Callum about the way he handled Shaughna #LoveIsland.’

‘Why does Jamie think it’s up to him to check Callum? Is he looking for brownie points? #loveisland,’ a fourth said.

Others were all for Jamie having Shaughna’s back and praised the Scottish lad for sticking up for her and calling Callum out.

‘Jamie is showing a bit of maturity and calling Callum out on his behaviour ! Nice to see,’ one fan tweeted.

Another viewer said: ‘Jamie has BALLS to pull callum for a chat that has nothing to do with him.’

Shaughna, for one, was all for it. When the other boys in the villa seemed a little confused by Jamie taking Callum aside, she hit back: ‘Let’s all be real, Callum didn’t come about it the right way. Callum had zero respect for me.

‘Nas didn’t do that, Nas knew Demi for five days, I’d been with Callum from day one and i never thought about it like that… why did you boys not have my back? You seem to say follow your heart a lot, but none of you said wait.’

Callum had tried to defend himself by saying that things felt ‘right’ with Molly and his mind was made up.

Standing by his decision to question Callum, Jamie said: ‘If anyone is in a position to tell Callum, from a male perspective, that simply wasn’t on, it would be from me.’

He later told Shaughna: ‘I thought I’d get it out of the way first, I thought I’d tell him, probably what he should have heard, but from a guy. He’s met you and not really known how to act, I don’t think it’s him being an awful person, it’s him being clueless, but i’m glad it happened because I wouldn’t have been sitting here talking to you. ‘

But will he set his sights on Shaughna? While the two did enjoy a date – and ‘one of the nicest dates’ Shaughna has had at that – Jamie also took out Demi.

Demi has made it clear that she’s interested in Jamie, despite getting to know Luke Mabbott at the same time.

Although, a spanner could be thrown completely in the works, as Shaughna decided that actually she quite fancies Luke M now, too.

Awkward, much?

Love Island’s Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu left us all cringing after their romantic night in the Hideaway.

Tonight’s episode of the ITV2 dating show saw the couple enter the private getaway for some time away from the other islanders, and their evening consisted of whipped cream and Mike grinding against the bed.

Yep, really.

As they arrived, they found rose petals scattered on the bed, champagne, whipped cream and a red robe.

Mike wasted no time in getting the cream and spraying it on Priscilla’s thigh before slowly licking it off.

But that wasn’t the end of the show, as he then gave his bae a little dance in his boxers as she lay under the covers.

Viewers were left screaming after watching the couple enjoy their alone time, and honestly, we think it’s going to take a lot for us to get this removed from our memories.

‘I feel like I speak for us all when I say that absolutely no one wants to see Mike in the Hideaway,’ wrote one.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Oh my gosh, Mike in the Hideaway, pluck my eyes out please!’

Having a debrief with the boys after their night away, Mike said: ‘Last night was decent’ before talking about what he did with the whipped cream.

Discussing Mike’s grinding sesh against the bed, Priscilla told the girls: ‘He didn’t overdo his dance, it was actually quite sexy!’

Over in the Beach Hut, she added: ‘He was actually amazing. Honestly, he was a 10 out of 10 but he’ll never hear it from me.’

We’re glad they enjoyed themselves.

Maisie Williams shuts down rumours of an alternate ending (Picture: HBO)

Maisie Williams has shut down rumours that an alternate ending was shot for the final season of Game of Thrones.

Maisie played Arya Stark in HBO’s long-running, high-fantasy epic, which caused controversy amongst fans and critics for its eigth and final run for its ending and handling of its established characters.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk on the red carpet for the Sky Up Next showcase, Maisie quashed speculation that bosses had filmed multiple endings to the show whilst it was still in production.

‘We didn’t [film an alternate ending],’ she revealed to us. ‘It costs so much money and the schedule was way too tight. We were spending all the money on dragons.’

And it seems the actress is acutely aware of the fan backlash against series eight too.

‘I think people wish we did,’ she chuckled. ‘But..we didn’t! So, that’s your lot!’

Cheers, Maisie! We’ll tell all the forums for you.

The 22-year-old is also preparing to make her return to the small-screen, starring in the comedy-drama Two Weeks To Live, alongside Fleabag’s Sian Clifford.

And it appears that Maisie’s new role is a welcome change of pace from Thrones. You know what they say; new decade, new year, new you!

‘I’m very excited to jump into something that was kind of the polar opposite of Game of Thrones,’ she teased. ‘And I had the best time doing it. They are very different shows.’

Just because Thrones has ended, however, that doesn’t mean that its passionate fans have stopped thinking about the show – they’re still combing through the plot holes.

In fact, they’ve already picked up one concerning dragonglass that could have really helped in the battle against the Night King.

It’s also been announced that one of Maisie’s cast mates will be joining fellow cult favourite Doctor Who for an epic two-part finale.

Two Weeks To Lives comes to Sky this year. Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available to stream on NOWTV.

Dwayne Johnson has been training at the Performance Centre – but it’s not the WWE comeback fans have been clamouring for.

It seems The Rock has popped to the company’s training facility in Orlando, Florida – just a few hours drive from his hometown of Miami – to work with his daughter Simone as she takes her first steps into the world of sports entertainment.

Not every 18-year-old would be happy to have their dad coming to work with them, but the People’s Champ was more than welcome as he dropped by to train and take a long round the complex.

Asked by WWE’s Cathy Kelly if she has had a chance to train in the ring with her dad, Simone revealed: ‘I have, he came down to the Performance Centre for the day.

‘It was great because he got to see everyone there, he got to see how our culture is here, and then obviously I love spending time with him but to be able to train with him and do something I know we both love, it was great.’

At the facility, Simone will be learning from the absolute best, including NXT chief Paul “Triple H” Levesque – WWE’s Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events and Creative – and he’s already been on hand for advice.

‘Triple H has always been so supportive and encouraging, and that’s really something that means the world to me,’ she smiled. ‘Every time I see him, he’s just is always wishing the best. To have his support means everything.’

Meanwhile, The Game himself has insisted Dwayne’s daughter ‘earned’ her spot training with the company.

He commented: ‘Simone Johnson’s unbridled passion and incredible drive has earned her a coveted spot training with the elite athletes from around the world at the WWE Performance Centre.

‘Not only does Simone now have an opportunity to cultivate and display her passion for WWE within the Performance Centre, but she’ll carry on the tradition of her incredible family lineage while creating her own impact as WWE’s first fourth generation Superstar.’
