Love Island fans have flocked to Ofcom to complain after the News Splash headlines challenge left Paige Turley’s relationship with Finley Tapp in tatters.

The pair – who are currently the only official couple in the villa – are solid favourites to win the show, but hit a slight speedbump in the infamous task when one headline insinuated Finn ‘got his head turned in Casa Amor’.

While Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge didn’t return to the villa unscathed, after it emerged he had been telling all the boys she got ‘naked’ in the hideaway.

The girls were left more than a little upset by the scenes, and they weren’t the only ones, as angry viewers flooded the official watchdog with complaints.

A spokesperson for Ofcom told Metro.co.uk: ‘We’ve had 390 complaints about last night’s episode – the vast majority to do with the headline challenge.’

In fact, a whopping 377 out of the total number were focusing on News Splash, with the most upset surrounding Finn’s headlines being ‘fake news’, while others were also not happy with the way drama has been stirred up in the villa.

The fallout from is set to continue tonight, with a teaser showing Paige and Finn having a showdown by the firepit.

‘I have not done one thing in Casa Amor that I regret,’ the 20-year-old can be seen telling his girlfriend.

Having none of it, she hit back: ‘The headline, in black and white, tells me different!’

Siannise was also left heartbroken over her man’s brags, telling the girls: ‘Comments like that, especially [about] something so personal has made me very wary of him now.’

It also erupts between Molly Smith and Callum Jones, who have been inseparable since returning from the Casa Amor villa.

A headline appeared to hint that Callum would ‘cheat’ on his new partner, after dumping Shaughna Phillips for her – leaving their budding romance in trouble.

The trailer shows the model telling her sheepish beau: ‘Something has obviously been said so if you’re going to do something like that, I’d rather you just say because I can’t be a***d.’

They don’t have long to kiss and make up, as the final is taking place on Sunday, 23 February.

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.

Netflix’s The Letter For The King trailer teases new fantasy we’ve needed since Game of Thrones finale

Netflix has gone and revealed the teaser trailer for the upcoming series A Letter For The King, and we’re getting all the Game of Thrones vibes.

After turning to The Witcher to fill that Westeros shaped hole, it seems the network is pleasing subscribers no end with another fantasy epic starring Gijs Blom, and His Dark Materials actor, Amir Wilson.

Introducing the plot, with a narration very much like that heard at the start of Lord of the Rings, fans are thrown into a fierce war waged on the southern kingdom of Eviellan, by the north’s Unauwen and Dagonaut.

‘For thousands of years, Eviellan has resisted. Until now,’ the voice whisperers as fans get a first look at the villain of the show, Prince Viridian.

Riding through his people, the voiceover continues: ‘A prince’s appetite for power is so great the whole world trembles as he plans where to turn next, the last hope, an ancient prophecy that tells of a hero who will rise to defeat the coming darkness.’

He then pulls off his helmet at the top of the cliff, to reveal Gijs behind the armor, who shouts at his men below.

And when it couldn’t get any more exciting, we’re left with the cliffhanger of who will take down the prince.

‘But of that hero,’ the voice says: ‘There is still no sign.’

Amir Wilson, who will play the knight-in-training Tiuri, is seen sitting up in bed after waking up from a nightmare – and it seems he’s the chosen one

The new series is based on Tonke Dragt’s 1962 Duthch novel, with Andy Serkis (who played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings franchise) taking the helm alongside his daughter Ruby.

In the plot, the pair will play a father and daughter duo with Andy teasing that it has been an ‘interesting dynamic.’

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: ‘We’re playing versions of ourselves but we’re not ourselves.

‘Where do we cross over as human beings? Where do we crossover as father and daughter?’

He added: ‘Obviously these characters are very different, but we’re using a shorthand that we know with each other.’

The Letter for the King debuts 20 March on Netflix.

Game of Thrones and Fleabag collide as Maisie Williams tracks down killer in Two Weeks To Live trailer

Maisie Williams is sticking with tradition for her first major role since Game of Thrones: being a total badass in Two Weeks To Live.

The 22-year-old has left Arya Stark and her weapon of choice Needle behind and has now familiarised herself with a gun, teaming up with Fleabag’s Sian Clifford in a bloody, suspenseful thriller as part of the new Sky 2020 line-up.

Maisie takes the lead as Kim, who’s on the run from her frantic mother Tina (Sian) desperate to avenge her father’s killer 15 years after his murder.

‘Kim has been living with her overprotective mother for 16 years, and they’ve been in a very remote place,’ Maisie explained at last night’s Sky Up Next event, describing the role as her ‘biggest’ since Game of Thrones.

‘The story begins with Kim leaving home in search of a normal life and she meets two boys and they try to show her the fun things in life and as they get to know her better they realise there’s some complicated things in her past.’

Maisie was joined by Fleabag icon Sian, who explained she’d never seen a female character like Tina before.

‘That’s what really drew me in,’ she enthused. ‘They’ve lived off the grid for 16 years, she’s a hunter, she’s really ruthless, she’s definitely overprotective and she doesn’t want anything to disrupt this world she’s created and we come to discover why.’

‘It’s a bit bloodier [than Fleabag],’ she teased. ‘Fleabag is dark in its own way – grief is a pretty dark topic. The adventures they go on are dangerous at times.’

‘But not as dark as Game of Thrones,’ Maisie joked.

Metro.co.uk caught up with Maisie at last night’s Up Next event where she explained where most of the $90 million budget for the Game of Thrones finale went…

Two Weeks To Live is coming to Sky in 2020 and will be available to stream on NOW TV.

The Masked Singer’s finalists have lied online to hide identity, Joel Dommett reveals

The Masked Singer finale is this Saturday and host Joel Dommett is determined to keep us guessing as he teased on This Morning stars have been lying online about their identities.

Somehow, the Masked Singer has managed to completely hide who is behind the elaborate and stunning costumes, with everyone from Lord Alan Johnson to Skin from Skunk Anansie dressing up for the fun and games of the show.

But there are still three that have yet to be revealed – Hedgehog, Queen Bee and Octopus – and those three stars have been doing anything they can to get off the scent.

About the finale, Phillip asked Joel: ‘Am I going to go “Oh you’re joking!”?’

‘You genuinely will,’ Joel said: ‘Especially there’s one name that I think everyone who filmed it, did not expect it to be that person.

‘I think it’s the person that’s sort of alluded everyone throughout the entire thing.’

He then revealed that there have been some correct guesses online, particularly as the weeks have gone on, but the stars have actually made things more complicated by suggesting they’re nt who they say they are.

‘But also to throw spanners in the works, I’ve seen this twice, people who it actually is on social media, they say it isn’t them,’ he said … which definitely is not a good thing for us online sleuths.

He later joked that Hedgehog was one of the biggest surprises, especially considering he is constantly changing his voice in order to keep the judges and viewers guessing where he was from.

‘People are disguising their singing voices, people are disguising their talking,’ he added. ‘It’s really stressful to be honest Holly.’

Speaking of the final three, Joel said: ‘Hedgehog’s actually thrown a lot of people off, because they were very posh at the beginning and then they turned into something else’

When Holly commented he’d then gone a bit more Manchester, he agreed and went: ‘Yeah, and now it’s kind of back to Buble again.’

He then quickly added: ‘It’s not Buble! It’s not Buble! Dammit, just gave it away on This Morning!’

‘Do you imagine how petrified I’ve been since September?,’ he added.

‘We filmed it in September and I’m so scared to even say anybody’s name.’

The Masked Singer concludes 7pm on ITV.

Stacey Solomon in tears as she reveals struggles to breastfeed baby Rex: ‘I felt so cruel’

Stacey Solomon in tears as she opened up about struggling to breastfeed son Rex.

The Loose Women star welcomed the little one with Joe Swash last year, and has been praised for being honest about motherhood since giving birth.

And, speaking about seeing her son lose weight, she admitted she ‘felt cruel’ that she continued trying to breastfeed.

‘When I couldn’t, I got myself in an emotional, hormonal rut of not being able to let it go,’ the 30-year-old told her fellow ITV panelists, while getting visibly emotional.

‘I didn’t want to let it go. He was also really quite small.’

‘He ended up losing nearly a whole pound, he did get really small. Looking back now, I almost feel cruel that I carried on trying.

‘You do feel like, “I could have just given him a bottle”.’

Stacey Solomon

Stacey admitted she put pressure on herself throughout, as she ‘romanticised’ breastfeeding throughout her pregnancy – but couldn’t ‘let it go’ when she struggled.

‘I just couldn’t do it. I really wanted to do it and I just felt like… I didn’t know if I was being lazy or I couldn’t take the pain.

‘You just start thinking, “This is what my body is made to do, why aren’t I just pushing through and doing it?”

Stacey previously shared a candid post on Instagram, explaining that she felt like a ‘failure’ when she was forced to stop breastfeeding.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B6Bg0GgFS3-/

And the reality star admitted she felt ‘jealous’ when seeing other women having the experience she was desperate for.

‘I really felt like I failed at breastfeeding and even now I get upset when I see other women breastfeeding (even though I’m genuinely so happy for them),’ she shared on the gram.

‘I get a knot in my stomach looking back to how much weight he lost and how sad I felt the day my milk dried up.

‘I wish I knew then what I’d learned in this episode, I really wish I’d have done more research and not just assumed I could breastfeed and I would automatically know what I was doing.

‘Although I do believe we are sold a picture that it’s so natural and easy and it’s what we’re made to do which isn’t helpful.’

She added: ‘I would like to say there are so many different factors and scenarios that can make breastfeeding much more difficult and sometimes impossible for mothers.’

Rebekah Vardy breaks down in tears over Coleen Rooney Wagatha Christie row: ‘The stress put me in hospital three times’

$

On October 9 2019, the world was shaken by three words: it’s Rebekah Vardy. Coleen Rooney had caused the planet to shut down by accusing the fellow Wag of selling stories to the press after making up lies on her private Instagram account.

Since then Rebekah, 37, has given birth to her fifth baby, Coleen, 33, has maintained her silence and we’ve been waiting with bated breath for the first tell-all interview. Today is that day as the wife of Jamie Vardy laid it out on Loose Women.

Rebekah was in tears as she revealed the messages she’s received from cruel trolls online because of the fall-out. She explained that while she couldn’t say too much on the attack from Coleen during their legal dispute, the reality star described it as ‘one of the worst things I had to deal with apart from being abused when I was younger.’

Recalling the moment she first came across Coleen’s Instagram post, Rebekah told Stacey Solomon, Christine Lampard, Nadia Sawalha, and Jane Moore: ‘I was in Dubai, we’d gone away on holiday to buy baby stuff.

‘We were just about to leave to go to dinner with one of our friends. My manager messaged me saying, “You need to see this.” I don’t think I was prepared for what was to come.’

The former I’m A Celebrity campmate hit out at the horrific messages she received online and revealed she was hospitalised for severe anxiety attacks.

Rebekah was called a ‘fat ugly rat’. One troll said they hoped ‘you and your baby rot’.

I ended up with severe anxiety attacks. I ended up in hospital three times. I ended up with kidney stones. I felt like I couldn’t go out with people just looking at me just questioning.. whether.. did she do it? Did she not do it?’ she sobbed.

Naturally, her husband Jamie ‘really struggled’ during the saga.

‘It was a hard time,’ she stressed. ‘[My daughter] found it really, really difficult. There were people finding her Instagram and sending horrible messages. I think it’s hard for the kids, you can only say to them, “Don’t read it, not everyone likes you and not everyone’s going to be your friend and that’s okay”.

‘But to actually get that across to a 15-year-old is very difficult, they do read stuff. It’s human nature. You can only protect them to a certain extent. She found it difficult, we all did.’

At the time, out of nowhere, Coleen dropped the statement: ‘For a few years now someone I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge. After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion.

Rebekah Vardy Coleen Rooney Loose Women
Rebekah read out some of the cruel messages she received online (Picture: ITV)

‘To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while.)’

Coleen continued: ‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.

‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

Colleen accused Rebekah of selling stories to the press (Instagram)

Coleen captioned the statement: ‘This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it……’

Rebekah fired back in her own statement, writing: ‘As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this. I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me over the years can vouch for.

‘If you thought this was happening you could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped. Over the years various people have had access to my Insta and just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself.’

The reality star continued: ‘I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you? I liked you a lot Coleen and I’m so upset that you have chosen to do this, especially when I’m heavily pregnant. ‘I’m disgusted that I’m even having to deny this. You should have called me the first time this happened.’

She concluded her post with a broken heart emoji.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips risks dumping as recoupling shocks the villa (Picture: ITV)

Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips could be the next contestant to be booted out of the villa, as the boys are getting their pick at the next recoupling.

The 25-year-old recently called time on her relationship with Callum Jones, after his head was turned in Casa Amour.

And while new boy Jamie Clayton tried to win over the Democratic Services Officer, it seems she wasn’t all that attracted to the bombshell after their first date.

In Wednesday’s episode, Shaughna confessed that Luke M was ‘her type on paper’ and is hoping to get to know the Justin Bieber lookalike – despite his fling with Demi Jones.

But will she be able to charm the boys into saving her from a potential dumping?

Tonight’s installment will see Finley Tapp receive a text announcing the recoupling, where the boys will be choosing who they want to pair up with.

And in an attempt to save herself, Shaughna tells Demi that she is going to make a move on her man.

‘This is a very uncomfortable conversation for me – which is why I’m smiling because I feel uncomfortable right now – I feel like I want to have a chat with Luke M,’ she tells he villa bestie.

Being the supportive pal, the 21-year-old asks: ‘Right okay. Oh god… what’s made you feel like this?’

How will Demi Jones react? (Picture: ITV)

‘I think Jamie’s solidified this a bit for me,’ Shaughna says: ‘I’m just like absolutely, I don’t have feelings for you at all.

‘I don’t feel like that for Luke, I feel like we’ve always had flirty banter back and forth.’

She then goes onto explain how she felt slightly pied off in the Snog, Marry Pie challenge when Luke didn’t choose her to marry.

‘I was a bit like, “Oh OK… I thought that was going to happen.” Then when it didn’t go well with Natatalia I was thinking, “I’m happy about that, why am I happy about that?”‘

Whether or not Luke will have similar feelings is not yet known, but we can’t wait to see how he’ll react to the shock news.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Love Island’s Shaughna is going in all guns blazing to give romance another chance on the show – approaching Demi with a warning she’s about to make a move on Luke M.

Explaining her decision in the Beach Hut, she said: ‘It’s kind of been under my nose for weeks. I’ve definitely gone for the guy my mum would want me to go for, finally.

‘Luke is an angel and any girl that ever ends up with him is a very lucky girl.’

But first she has to talk to Demi, who has been locking lips with the Bieber lookalike while also getting to know new guy Jamie.

‘This is a very uncomfortable conversation for me – which is why I’m smiling because I feel uncomfortable right now,’ Shaughna said as she cornered her pal for a chat.

‘I feel like I want to have a chat with Luke M.’

Agreeing to keep themselves civil about it, Demi admitted that she felt like she was having ‘no luck’ and admitted in the Beach Hut: ‘I’ve just got to hope Luke does like me. If Shaughna tells him this information then he might shut it down and come closer to me and it will solidify our connection.

‘At the same time, if Shaughna tells him that and he starts acting different about me and starts being like that to her, then again at least I know it wasn’t meant to be.’

With that, Shaughna gets the green light and goes to speak to Luke M – leaving his head scrambled with the new information.

‘You’re dropping a bomb… have you thought this over the past few days?’ he asked.

Luke then admits: ‘Me and Demi got to know each other and got close, she’s getting to know Jamie as well which put me off a bit.

‘I didn’t want to be in that position again to feel second best, I don’t want to be in a triangle…’

What will he decide to do now he knows?

Star Trek: Picard’s Michelle Hurd on poignant importance of show to her as person of colour

Michelle Hurd Star Trek Picard
Michelle has been a life-long fan of Star Trek (Picture: Splash/CBS)

Star Trek: Picard star Michelle Hurd has a particular poignant bond with the universe she’s now a part of – because thanks to the show’s representation of people of colour, it was essential viewing for her and her family.

The actress plays the troubled Raffi Muskier in the newest return to the Star Trek universe, has been helping Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) on his mission to locate Soji, the twin sister of Dahj, who was killed after discovering the pair were actually illegal synths, which were outlawed.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Michelle spoke about her pride of being part of the series, which has often taken political stances beyond their years, which back when it started in 1968, was beyond its years in the subjects they tackled.

She explained: ‘My father is a black man, and my father’s an actor, and when we were growing up it was is really important for my family, for my father, to make sure that we watched entertainment that was inclusive, because he was really aware of the fact that, you know, that it’s important to see yourself represented in the world.’

The young family formed a bond with, in particular the original series, where for the young girls, they found a hero in communications officer Nyota Uhura, played by Nichelle Nichols.

A leading black actress on the show, the character also made history with the first interracial kiss ever on network television, as Uhura and Captain Kirk (William Shatner) locked lips in 1968.

Raffi has some scores to settle in Star Trek: Picard (Picture: CBS)

The show has also adopted the acronym IDIC – meaning Infinite Diversity, Infinite Combinations – a Vulcan philosophy that has been adopted by fans.

‘When I got this job, I kinda had flashbacks to my childhood,’ Michelle added. ‘This was the show that my family would actually sit around and watch because we had Uhura.

‘Because we had that first inter-racial kiss, because we had a world and environment that would tell the stories of other people who were battling to be seen or heard and didn’t necessarily have a platform to be seen or heard.’

So joining the series came with its own personal wins for both Michelle and the entire family, as she said: ‘My elder sister’s a huge Trekkie and when a comic book came out with me in it, which is really, really cool, obviously she had to get it.

‘She literally tore through comic book places in New York, they’d sold out in hours and she like cornered one of the owners and was like “my sister’s playing Raffi, get me a copy!”’

Raffi was first introduced in comic books of the franchise as Picard’s first officer, who tried to help relocate Romulans relocate ahead of a supernova that could have wiped them out.

However, in the show’s canon, the Romulans double-crossed them and group the Zhat Vash infiltrating Star Fleet.

Picard’s abandonment of Star Fleet has resulted in the pair hating each other and Raffi with a score to settle, but the new mission seems too good to pass up in order to heal old wounds.

Star Trek: Picard airs Fridays on Amazon Prime Video.

House Hunters features first ever throuple and fans have no idea what to think

House Hunters HGTV
House Hunters features first ever throuple (Picture: HGTV)

House Hunters are getting with the times and have featured their first-ever throuple in need of a forever home.

In the episode titled Three’s Not a Crowd in Colorado Springs, Brian, Lori and Geli were seen scouring the state for a place that they could finally make their own.

The trio explained on the HGTV show how Brian and Lori have two children together and tied the knot before falling in love with Geli.

They met at a bar and soon after entered a relationship, seeing them all later exchange vows at a commitment ceremony.

And while they were looking for a space big enough for the three of them, the loved up family also had to make sure they accommodated their kids.

When viewing what was on the market, Lori listed off a string of recommendations that would suit the needs of her brood.

She even joked: ‘This is a couple’s kitchen, not a throuple’s kitchen,’ during a tour of a potential house.

Despite not instantly falling in love with the available properties, there was one slightly over budget that stole their hearts.

However, viewers at home were more concerned over the home buyers’ relationship rather than the stunning, mountainous views.

Taking to Twitter, some fans questioned the network for airing the episode, while others threw their support behind the decision.

‘Honestly I feel like I learned a lot #HouseHunters,’ one wrote while someone else added: ‘Loving the throuple episode but that doesnt mean I love typical #househunters stupidity… obsessing over 3 sinks like TAKE TURNS ITS NOT A BIG DEAL.’

Another felt the same: ‘Yeah, I’m sure it occurs to most builders to put a triple vanity in the master bath. #househunters.’

And others were impressed with the choice of contestant: ‘House Hunters is featuring a throuple couple. Wow pretty progressive. #househunters.’

A throuple is when three people are in a polyamorous romantic relationship.

House Hunters airs on HGTV.

WWE’s Alexa Bliss reveals her secret Bowling For Soup cameo on epic new song

Alexa Bliss is living the dream right now after Bowling For Soup released their new hit single written all about her – and it turns out she even features on the song.

The WWE superstar has made no secret about the fact the pop punk legends are her favourite ever band, and just last week she appeared in their latest music video – but the fun doesn’t end there.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Alexa – who even lends her name to the track – said: ‘I’m actually on the track! Yes! It’s very hard to hear, but when they say “Her favourite song is Girl All The Bad Guys Want”, I say “What’s a two-way?” So yeah, I’m technically on it!’

It’s a very subtle – but wonderful – nod to the Grammy Award-winning group’s beloved 2002 hit, which just so happens to be Little Miss Bliss’ favourite song ever since she first heard the album Drunk Enough To Dance.

‘I listened to [the album] growing up – you know, Girl All The Bad Guys Want has always been my favourite song,’ she added. ‘I think I was in middle school, and I’d be getting ready in the mirror, crimping my hair, listening to Bowling For Soup. I’d have the CD just playing on repeat.

‘I remember the first concert I went to, my parents’ friends had won a concert ticket on the radio and they knew I was a huge Bowling For Soup fan, so they brought me along.

‘It was the coolest night of my life, as a teenager. I bought their shirt at that concert, and I was wearing for it any and every photoshoot I could when I started bodybuilding – that was my go to shirt.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B6cXFfpHOiG/

The whole project came about after Alexa revealed her loved for the band in an interview, which led to frontman Jaret Reddick getting in touch as a genuine friendship grew.

Fast forward to last year’s Summerslam in Toronto, and the former women’s champ – who turned 28 on August 9, two days before the huge event – received an amazing birthday present from her hero.

‘Jaret texted me like “Hey, Happy Birthday! I have a little something I’ve been working on but I thought I would send it to you for your birthday,” ‘ she revealed. ‘He sent me the song – and I freaked out, it was so cool! I actually still have the video of my reaction to it!’

Bowling For Soup x Alexa Bliss is the collaboration we never knew we needed

The big question for fans now is whether we’ll ever see her enter the ring to the song itself – or even if Bowling For Soup could perform it live at this year’s WrestleMania in Tampa.

‘I mean, I would love for that! Any opportunity to be able to have my favourite band playing a song about me at WrestleMana would be incredible,’ Alexa admitted.

‘I don’t know what I’m doing at WrestleMania, but it’s definitely something I’m going to throw out into the universe!’

https://www.instagram.com/p/B6deBf6Hj5a/

While life as a WWE superstar is a whirlwind in and of itself, where the extraordinary becomes your day-to-day, Alexa has still found the entire experience so surreal, given her lifelong love for the group.

‘Oh, 100%! I’ve had a lot of amazing moments in WWE. I’ve been very fortunate with the opportunities I’ve been given. I’ve gone to WrestleMania as champion for my first two WrestleManias, hosted my third, I’ve done a lot in WWW,’ she said.

‘Bowling For Soup was my favourite, favourite, favourite band – still is – growing up, they were the first concert I went to before I moved to WWE. I went to saw them at the Basement in Columbus the day before I moved to Tampa for WWE. It’s kinda cool how it’s all come together!’

Westworld season three is almost here (Picture: HBO)

It has been 16 whole months since season two of Westworld ended – and now TV bosses have teased us with a first-look picture of season three.

The HBO sci-fi western’s new season will be told in eight parts and once again it will star the likes Ed Harris, and Evan Rachel Wood.

The new season will be taking a different twist as it leaves the Western game world behind by taking the exploration of robots into the real world…

HBO revealed a new poster for Westworld Season 3 featuring a skin-free robot sinking into sand with a desolate city skyline in the background.

And the poster is captioned: ‘Free will is not free.’

What does that even mean?

The cast list for the new series is also set to get even more impressive, with Breaking Bad icon Aaron Paul joining this year.

In October 2019, the actor teased his upcoming performance on the show to the Independent, while also revealing he was meant to be on it from season one.

‘I was just so deep into negotiations on this other show and the logistics couldn’t work out,’ he said.

‘And then they approached me again for this third season and I was actually deep into negotiations on this other show, so I was reliving the same moment in my life again.

‘I was stressing out because I had to turn Westworld down the first time around.’

Saying he ‘couldn’t miss out on this second opportunity’, Aaron explained: ‘So I sat down with them and they pitched me this character and they pitched me the broad strokes of the arc of the rest of the series. It is insane.’

Westworld returns on 15 March on HBO.

Rebekah Vardy reveals husband Jamie ‘really struggled’ over Coleen Rooney feud

Rebekah Vardy revealed husband Jamie ‘really struggled’ amid her feud with Coleen Rooney.

The world was left reeling when Wayne Rooney’s wife shared a now-infamous Instagram post, accusing the I’m A Celebrity star of selling stories about her to the press – something she fiercely denied.

And, speaking about the drama for the first time on Loose Women, the 37-year-old admitted it was a ‘really hard time’.

Discussing the Leicester footballer’s reaction, she confessed: ‘He really struggled. He really struggled seeing me upset, seeing me down.

‘It was a hard time.’

Rebekah – who was seven months pregnant when it kicked off – was hit with trolls over Coleen’s post, which left her needing medical attention.

And she explained teenage daughter Megan was also sent vile messages on Instagram over the drama.

‘She found it really, really difficult,’ the mum-of-five continued. ‘There were people finding her Instagram and sending horrible messages.

I think it’s hard for the kids, you can only say to them, “Don’t read it, not everyone likes you and not everyone’s going to be your friend and that’s okay”. But to actually get that across to a 15-year-old is very difficult, they do read stuff. It’s human nature.

‘You can only protect them to a certain extent. She found it difficult, we all did.’

Rebekah took a serious stand against the trolls, going to the police who made ‘several arrests’.

‘No one would ever say anything to your face, would they? That’s the whole thing with trolling, no one’s ever brave enough to say it to your face,’ she added.

‘If you do something like that and don’t try and highlight it, which I did, I went to the police and several arrests were made. You can’t let them win.

‘The more we highlight that this is happening and this is really serious, the more chances we have of doing something good about it.’

Things between Coleen and Rebekah kicked off at the end of last year, when the mum-of-four alleged her former pal had been leaking stories about her.

The 33-year-old told Instagram followers that ‘so much information’ had been given out about herself and those closest to her that she decided to take matters into her own hands.

‘To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account,’ she continued.

Coleen Rooney had the world reeling when she accused Rebekah of leaking stories (Picture: Splash)

‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.

‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.’

She ended the statement with four words that sent us all reeling: ‘It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

Wagatha Christie quickly started trending as Rebekah hit back, insisting she had nothing to do with the leak, vowing to get to the bottom of the drama.

Loose Women continues on weekdays, at 12.30, on ITV.

Love Island’s Demi Jones is seen breaking down in tears in the Beach Hut after telling Shaughna Phillips to make her feelings known to Luke M – even though she doesn’t want her to.

The unlucky-in-love islander is pulled to one side by Shaughna to explain that she wanted to speak to Luke as she thinks she’s developed feelings for him, but while Demi agreed to let her try, it’s clear she’s cut up about it.

In the first look clip of tonight’s episode, Demi is seen choking back tears as she spends time in the Beach Hut talking to the camera after the chat, and away from everyone else.

‘I just feel like I don’t have much luck in here,’ she said. ‘I’ve just got to hope Luke does like me, or is attracted to me.

‘If Shaughna tells him this information then he might shut it down or come closer to me and it will solidify our connection.

‘At the same time, if Shaughna tells him that and he starts acting different about me and starts being like that to her, then again at least I know it wasn’t meant to be.’

Has Demi blown her chance by admitting to early she wanted to get to know Jamie?

Who knew?

Speaking on Celebrity Ex On The Beach: The Podcast, Lateysha admitted that she’s never told anyone before, but her and David used to text each other all the time.

She said: ‘Me and David actually used to text each other years ago, like six or seven years ago, like before I even did The Valleys.’

Asked how they got each other’s numbers, she said: ‘Facebook I think, something like that. So I’ve always fancied him, even my mum fancies him.

Lateysha said David was her ‘perfect man’ when he rocked up on the beach (Picture: MTV)

‘It’s so funny when he came on the beach, I was like, “Oh my mum literally fancies you,” he’s literally my mum’s crush.’

Fans saw Lateysha pretty much freak out when David turned up as a guest on the beach and not an ex. She described him as her ‘perfect man’ and it seemed like her luck was in when they kissed on their date and he ended up staying in her bed.

But, things didn’t exactly work out to plan and David called things off as quickly as he sold her the dream of them two together.

ex on the beach
David shut down their romance before it even began because he was worried about his ex (Picture: MTV)

Admitting she didn’t see it coming, Lateysha said: ‘I’m not stupid, I’m not silly, I usually know when a guy is bullsh*tting. When he was like we’re gonna go on an adventure, we’re gonna go travelling, I thought I’d met my partner in crime.

‘I like [guys coming on strong], I’ll eat them up otherwise. I’ve never met somebody like that, like me, and David was like that.’

In reality, David told Lateysha that he did like her, but he was worried about his ex coming into the villa and he didn’t want to ‘disrespect’ his ex by being with her.

Her thoughts? If her ex came in, she ‘wouldn’t give a sh*t’ because she wanted to give things a go with David, now she just ‘feels stupid’ for thinking he wanted the same.

Oh, Lateysha.

Jimmy Fallon thought his career was over after super awks run-in with RuPaul went viral

Jimmy Fallon genuinely thought he’d be hit with a ‘JimmyFallonIsOverParty’ after a super awkward run-in with RuPaul on his show.

Ahead of their SNL stint, Drag Race leading lady Ru decided to wind up the host of the show, with a joke played so straight Jimmy was convinced it was real.

When Jimmy decided to show off Ru’s stunning Vanity Fair magazine cover, he made the near-fatal error of referring to them as a ‘drag queen’.

‘A drag queen?! A drag queen?!’ Ru was seen exclaiming in a shock offended tone, leaving Jimmy’s eyes wide with panic before she deadpanned: ‘I am the queen of drag!’

The moment went viral as the look of worry on Jimmy’s face was clear for everyone to see, thinking he had said something offensive for Ru to react like that and fearing he’d potentially get dragged across the internet as a result (no pun intended).

Now he’s addressed the clip on his TV show, and admitted literally saw his career flashing before his eyes by the “slip up”.

Jimmy Fallon (Picture: NBC)
Jimmy admitted he thought his career was over (Picture: NBC)

Laughing it off, he said: ‘I really thought it was over. “That’s it. I’m cancelled, I have to start up my own #JimmyFallonIsOverParty”.

‘I had a good run, you know, 10 years in the business… I was like “wait what did I do wrong?!”,’ he said.

Jimmy Fallon (Picture: NBC)
RuPaul’s joke came complete with a deathstare that nearly killed off Jimmy (Picture: NBC)

Thankfully he managed to see the hilarious side of things too and laughed off the moment.

‘My thanks to RuPaul, we love you,’ he ended. ‘That was a very funny moment.’

Thankfully he had some friends to help him through the hairy moment… well, friends who couldn’t help but completely rip him to shreds about it as he became the butt of the joke.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is available on Sky Comedy and NOW TV in the UK.

Michelle Visage is currently being lined up to front her own BBC show following the success of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

According to Deadline, the broadcaster is working with World Of Wonder who has made a pilot for BBC Three under the working title Get Off Your Ass – honestly, we love it already.

It’s been reported that the new programme mixes a celebrity chat show with a makeover format, and the first episode filmed in January with Michelle at the helm.

Of course, like any pilot, there’s no guarantee that Get Off Your Ass will actually get the green light to be commissioned for a full series, but we’re hoping, oh honey, we’re hoping that shantay it stays.

The publication has claimed that ‘the development shows that the BBC is keen to build on the success of Drag Race.’

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK finally landed on our screens back in October, with Michelle joined by not only Mama Ru, but Alan Carr, Graham Norton and a whole host of celebrity guests.

The Vivienne was crowned the UK’s first-ever drag race superstar as she beat Divina De Campo to the top spot in a nail-biting final, which saw Baga Chipz take third place.

The final three were put through their paces in the last mega challenge, which saw them learn dance routines from Strictly’s AJ Pritchard and Love Island brother Curtis Pritchard, as well as appear on RuPaul and Michelle’s podcast, What’s The Tee?

The BBC confirmed in November that Drag Race UK had been given the go-ahead for a second series, and will be back in our lives this year.

‘I want to thank the BBC and all our fans for their overwhelming support of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK,’ RuPaul said of the news.

‘This season’s queens proved that Britain’s Got Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent and I want to see more! Here’s to another season of love, laughter and light!’

Metro.co.uk has contacted BBC and Michelle for comment.

The Masked Singer’s grand finale is just around the corner, and the host of the show Joel Dommett has been serving up more clues.

When appearing on This Morning, the 34-year-old laughed off how hard it has been to keep the hidden celebrities a secret.

But while he was remaining tight-lipped, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby couldn’t help but push fo spoilers.

‘Hedgehog has thrown a lot of people off,’ the presenter smirked: ‘They were posh at the beginning, and then a bit Mancunian, and now it’s back to [Michael] Bublé again.’

He then looked really shocked as he squirmed: ‘It’s not Bublé, oh gosh, I almost just gave it away!’

Joel called the Octopus a ‘mad one’ (Picture: Rex/ITV)
Turning his attention to Hedgehog’s competition, Joel added: ‘Octopus, this was a mad one.

‘I think they were kind of hiding their voice in the early stages and now it is starting to come out, so it’s getting better.’

Putting his head in his hands, the former Extra Camp star said: ‘But people like to disguise their singing voices and their talking voices.’

Hedgehog and Octopus will be going up against Queen Bee in the show’s final.

Who will win The Masked Singer? (Picture: ITV)

After a tense semi-final episode, which saw both Denise van Outen revealed as Fox and CeeLo Green unveiled as Monster, we’re left with just three stars in disguise.

As it stands, Queen Bee is the favourite to win, and fans are convinced they already know who’s under the costume, with Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts the hotly-anticipated favourite to be unveiled.

Jason Manford is a popular guess for Hedgehog due to clues involving links to the West End – he has appeared in a couple of plays including Sweeney Todd and Curtains – and belting out Oasis’ Don’t Look Back in Anger.

As for the Octopus, there is no clear winner at the moment with a number of names swirling around social media including Jane McDonald, Ashley Roberts, Kerry Ellis, Emily Symon, Lucy Pargeter, and Katherine Jenkins.

The Masked Singer concludes Saturday at 7pm on ITV.

Star Trek: Picard Audition Room: Evan Evagora battled chest infection and learned to sword fight play Elnor

Star Trek: Picard fans found a new face to the universe in episode four of the sci-fi series, with the introduction of Elnor – a Romulin friend of Jean-Luc’s he’d met 14 years before.

The character, who has been raised by warrior nuns, doesn’t come from the same cloth as normal Romulins, and viewers are quick to see that he’s adept in sword fighting as well as keeping contact with the Romulin ways.

The tricky new role is played by Australian actor Evan Evagora, who revealed ahead of the episode airing that his audition was the far less glamorous side of Hollywood audition processes… mainly thanks to a nasty chest infection and a last minute opportunity to give the role a try.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Evan revealed: ‘When I auditioned it was very last minute. I knew it was it was gonna be about Picard, but the sides had names blacked out, and things changed.

‘I didn’t know my name was going to be Elnor until I think the week before I landed in LA. So yeah, I knew it was going to be Star Trek, which made me want it even more.’

‘I got given three different scenes, I was in a hotel room in Fiji, and I had a chest infection, and a really bad laptop that I had to use the camera and filmed it right there against a bedsheet,’ he added.

Landing the part was a massive win for Evan, who as a lifelong Star Trek fan became an unwitting dictionary for other cast members to know about the past, with co-stars including Harry Treadaway (who plays Narek) and Michelle Hurd (who plays Raffi) attesting to his knowledge.

‘I grew up watching TNG [The Next Generation],’ he explained. ‘I don’t think I really understood the message until I grew up and I had to re- watch the episodes before we started filming, it was mainly just for entertainment value. We’re big sci-fi and fantasy fans back home.’

So what can we expect from this new character?

In a previous chat on the red carpet at the London premiere of Picard, he said: ‘He’s a Romulan boy, he was raised in a sect of all female warrior nuns. He’s got a pretty cool looking sword and he’s a pretty good hand and combat.

‘I found myself, having watched the shows, previously I was given a list of episodes to watch – but once I got the script I found myself having to kind of throw some things out the door that I learned about Romulans.’

‘I mean, my character wasn’t raised in a traditional way the Romulans normally were,’ he added. ‘So it was a bit interesting learning new things about Romulan culture and learning the language.’

But one of the most important parts of Elnor’s character was the sword fighting, which he had to learn from scratch ahead of his first day on set.

‘I’ve got some boxing experience that came in handy,’ the actor told us.

‘But I remember, as soon as I landed in LA, it was straight up the sword fighting training so it was just a few weeks of just, you know, drilling drilling, for three-four hours just learning the sequences and the correct stances and stuff like that.’

Star Trek: Picard continues Fridays on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
