Adam Cole would love to face his boss (Picture: WWE)
Triple H has said he’d only wrestle in NXT if it was best for everyone involved – and Adam Cole has thrown his name in the hat if the stars aligned.
Although the WWE legend is fully focused on his executive roles behind the scenes, the current NXT Champion has revealed the roster would be fully supportive of him lacing up his boots for a TakeOver match.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, he said: ‘Oh my God yes! Anybody on our roster would agree. I don’t think – especially for a one-time situation with a guy like Triple H or Shawn Michaels.
‘Looking at it for what it is, we idolised them as kids, and now we’ve grown up and now we’re working for them, and together with them. We’re really getting to see their minds and not only how smart they are, but how much they absolutely love this job.
Could Cole play the Game? (Credit: WWE)
‘The chance for me – or Roddy, Bobby, Kyle, Tommaso, Johnny, Riddle, whoever – the chance to get in the ring with them? I wouldn’t pass that up for the world.
‘That absolutely is something I’d love to do, I know many NXT talent feel the same way. I definitely know a bunch of fans feel the same way! So yeah, all on board with that – for the right reasons!’
Triple H vs. Adam Cole is certainly a dream match for many fans, but this weekend the latter faces a very real challenger to his crown in the form of Tommaso Ciampa.
He’s on a roll after returning from neck surgery last year, and he’ll be facing the champ for the gold on Sunday night at NXT TakeOver: Portland, with Cole admitting it’s going to be an emotional night for everyone involved.
‘When he was on that run as NXT champion and then he had to let that championship go for neck surgery, that was really scary for everybody,’ he admitted. ‘Especially for him. As anybody knows, neck surgery is really freakin’ serious!
‘So, of course, there’s the thoughts of he’s starting a family now, is his neck going to be the same? NXT matches and NXT championship matches are high octane, is he going to be able to do the same stuff?
‘Of course it was worrisome for everybody! But for him to be able to come back and perform the way he has – it’s a testament to how good he is and how much he wants to be back.
‘It’s really cool to see him fight through it and make this happen. This Sunday it Portland is really special, for a number of reasons.’

Love Island threw a tiger among the pigeons last night. During the annual headline challenge, the powers that be plucked one report which claimed Finley Tapp’s head had been turned in Casa Amor before returning to the villa wearing his ‘I didn’t cheat’ badge of honour like some war hero.
Paige Turley was, obviously, livid. Tonight we will see the aftermath and judging by a teaser last night, it’s not going to be pleasant. Although, that appeared to be great news for Shaughna Phillips who relished in the drama.
Metro.co.uk’s body language expert Judi James caught Shuaghna’s gleeful reaction to Finn’s turmoil.
She explains: ‘I have to say Shaughna was looking very smug at that point. You almost feel with Shaughna this self-belief that she brought in with the baggage – that all men are pretty mean and you can’t trust any of them. I think for her that is proving her theory right in a way. They moan about Mike looking smug and I think she looked incredibly smug with these two.
‘The misery I wouldn’t wish on anybody she went thought but the justification in her body language, “I told you guys: don’t trust anybody” and I think that might ultimately have the effect on some inner pain of hers if someone proves her wrong.’
Regardless, Finn and Paige seem unstoppable entering the final days of Love Island before another shock recoupling tonight.
Did you catch Shaughna Phillips’ reaction to Paige Turley and Finley Tapp’s beef? (Picture: ITV)
However, Lewis Capaldi’s ex is preparing for battle.
‘Unlucky for him he’s got big eyes and you can read him more than the others. Did you see Paige’s tongue go out? That’s a sign of warfare in the villa,’ Judi clarified.
‘I think this will be make or break with these two. Everybody I imagine, unless they’re being really competitive, will tell her that absolutely nothing happened. I think she will probably end up back with him again.
‘I think she needs him to be more angsty. I don’t think he’s seen much of her genuine personality to a certain extent. I think she’s a bit of a warrior and I think he needs to see how quickly… it’s almost as if she wanted to get into a fight a little bit.
‘I think they’ll survive it because I think everyone else will make sure they survive it but I hope he was watching her response and it makes him check, “is she quite this sweet little angel?”
‘She’s a strong character and I don’t think we’ve seen that. I think he’s just seen that little tip of the iceberg with her.’
They’re not the only couple lowing up tonight. After Luke Trotman told the boys Siannise Fudge got naked in The Hideaway, she was fuming. The headlines predicted Callum Jones would cheat on Molly Smith so she too was fuming.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.

The Love Island boys knew Sophie Piper was headed into the villa (Picture: ITV/Rex)
The Love Island boys knew that Rochelle Humes’ sister Sophie Piper was going to enter the villa before they arrived.
Dumped islander Connor Durman has revealed that the boys had discussed the leaked line-up for the current winter series shortly after the fun and games kicked off last month.
Talking about the moment he found out that Sophie was related to The Saturdays singer, the coffee bean salesman recalled: ‘I found out on day three in the villa, because the boys were talking about people who had been leaked before and she had been, and I didn’t even know.
‘So we did have a conversation, but we didn’t really talk about it a lot. So, I found out from the boys.’
Connor also revealed what it was like meeting Rochelle and the rest of the family.

‘I met Rochelle and Lili, her sister, at Aftersun, and they were lovely,’ he penned in his blog for Cheltenham Betting Offers.
‘It was nice to meet them, they were really nice. I am always quite nervous about meeting an other half’s family, but things went really well. I love JLS, I was really into them when I was younger. I really hope I don’t get too star-struck meeting Marvin!’
Asked if he’ll be getting free tickets to the JLS tour, Connor said: ‘I don’t know yet, we’re taking things slow, but hopefully it’ll work out.’
‘Are you gonna take me on a date?’ Sophie teased as they were interviewed on Aftersun.
‘I am. I need to get her number first. It’ll be so weird with no cameras, no mics,’ Connor replied.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Monica Aldama is swiftly becoming a true icon since Cheer (Picture: Netflix)
There are only two types of people in the world: those who have devoured Netflix’s surprise smash Cheer and those yet to live by the wisdom of Monica Aldama.
If you’re in the latter, meet the Navarro college’s cheerleading coach. She’s quite rightly being compared to heroines Michelle Obama and Beyonce and in the space of a month has gone from obscurity to boasting the entire Kardashian family as some of her biggest fans.
Cheer follows Monica’s intensely competitive cheerleading squad preparing for battle in the Daytona Cheer and Dance Championship. They’re at the top of their game, retaining their position as Grand National winners six times since 2012, only giving up their title once. As you’ll see across the six episodes, she’s not about to let that happen again.
But Cheer is anything but the true story behind Bring It On. Its squad is fearless. Blood, sweat, tears and broken bones are an inevitable obstacle in any cheer squad year on year but Novarro’s pack of troupers are bold and brave enough to overcome any hurdle life throws at them: drugs, homophobia, racism, abandonment, and parents who are pushy at their best, problematic at their worst. They’re the real warriors on the football pitch.
Watch without a shoulder to cry on at your peril.
Monica had no idea of the responsibility that would come with becoming a cheerleading coach, but what’s abundantly clear is she was born for it. She’s the authority figure, friend and, quite often, mother to these kids.
‘I quickly realised there was so much more to it than just cheerleading.’ Monica tells Metro.co.uk. ‘You have a lot more roles to play. I think I’ve worked hard on those roles over the years.
‘The biggest surprise for me watching Cheer back was, I knew these kids’ stories but it was much more detailed than some of the things I actually knew so it was very emotional watch. I just didn’t know them in-depth. I watched the show four times back to back and I cried every time I watched it. It was emotional, so wow. It was hard but great.’
Monica had reservations when Netflix came knocking. ‘It’s a little scary letting someone come in and film you, not knowing how they’re going to edit it and if we could trust them to actually show what the reality was rather than creating some drama that wasn’t there,’ she admits.
Not that the streaming giant needed to fake anything – the race to Daytona Beach Grand Nationals was drama enough. Legs snapped, ankles were torn and heads became cushions for falls from great heights. At one point, Monica tells one of her pupils to keep practicing even though he’s battling a severe back injury after performing for another squad. Eventually, he’s reduced to tears.
Monica poses with Jerry Harris (right), Gabi Butler (centre) and LaDarius Marshall (left) (Picture: Jim Spellman/Getty Images)
‘I’ve been concussed five times,’ one of his teammates explains as if she’s broken a nail.
Subsequently, Monica has come under fire from plenty of critics concerned about her coaching style. While she can’t deny the injuries were as real as they were uncomfortable to watch, she does insist any evidence of care from the Cheer coaches was omitted from the final cut.
‘I definitely think overall they got the story right. There were a lot of injuries shown, probably all the times we fell and they didn’t necessarily show all the times we got it right or the precautions we used to build up to those harder skills. You know when kids had to sit out and the precautions we take – with stuff like that we take very seriously. There are injuries and stuff but they showed all of them, but overall it was really good.’
The Navarro College team and their mentor have otherwise, however, been met with an astonishing reception. Since the series came out on Netflix little more than a month ago, they’ve appeared on The Ellen Show to perform with Kendall Jenner – her dream, not theirs. They’re not only rubbing shoulders with the A-list – they are the A-list. Just take one look at Brad Pitt meeting Jerry Harris at the Academy Awards 2020 red carpet.
‘It hasn’t changed our relationship,’ Monica stresses. ‘When it first came out we were so shocked how big it was, so it was distracting.
The Navarro College squad lift producer on The Ellen Show (Picture: ABC)
‘Obviously things are way different because of the show. We had no idea it was going to be this big and everybody was going to watch it so we’re learning as we go. We’ve had to take some precautions with our practices because of people showing up but we’re very focused right now.’
It might be back to business on the mat, but Monica’s life will never be the same again. Last month it was reported Sandra Bullock could be lined up to play her in a movie and there’s every chance that could happen. Reese Witherspoon is already calling on Hollywood to pick up more films following female coaches who have thus far been snubbed from the big screen, despite quite literally ‘changing kids’ lives’, as she put it. If it’s going to happen, you can bank on Monica’s tale being at the front of the queue.
‘I definitely didn’t expect it,’ Monica says of the fame, and she means it. ‘I’ve had to turn off all my notifications on my social media because it just blew up and I have so many emails I can’t even go through them all right now. Being recognised, I just have to get used to it. I just have to find the time to get my life organised again; it just feels kind of disorganised right now.’
She hesitates: ‘It’s nice… it’s a little stressful. I used to just be incognito and I didn’t have to worry about what I look like but now I have to think, “Ooh maybe I don’t want to go out in public today.” I’m learning and getting used to it.’
Regardless, Monica achieved what she set out to do: prove that cheerleaders are real soldiers of sport.
‘The grit and determination these kids have,’ she begins, almost choking on pride. ‘There’s such a stereotype of cheerleading that it’s just a showy thing and they sit on the side-lines. But they’re real athletes and I think that’s the biggest surprise so I’m hoping it will legitimise how much they’re athletes.’
Cheer is available to stream on Netflix.

The HBO sci-fi western’s new season will be told in eight parts and once again it will star the likes Ed Harris, and Evan Rachel Wood, with Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul also joining the main cast this year as mysterious character Caleb.
The new season will be taking a different twist as it leaves the parks behind as Dolores (Wood), a newly-converted Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) escape to the human world following their successful revolution in the Westworld complex.
HBO revealed a new poster for Westworld Season 3 featuring a skin-free robot sinking into sand with a desolate city skyline in the background.
And the poster is captioned: ‘Free will is not free.’
Given that it’s basically Game of Thrones with robots, the announcement of the new series and the unveiling of the new poster caused some hardcore fans to go mental and try to decipher the hidden meaning behind the image.
On Reddit, fans clamoured over the striking new image, with many pointing out that the skyscraper looks to be impaling the Host featured front and centre.

One user wrote: ‘That is a dope poster. Kinda looks like the host has been impaled.’
Some more eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that the Host featured in the poster could well be main character Dolores (Wood).
‘What’s the blue cloth on [the leg] and wrist? Is that Dolores?’ one asked.
Another added: ‘Feel like that makes the most sense. And isn’t she one of the last hosts that still has a metal frame? Pretty sure all the new ones have synthetic bones instead.’
As to what we think? The image is clearly revelling in telling us that the human world will be just as dangerous as the Westworld parks.
The fact that the skyscraper does seem to be piercing through the robot makes us think that Dolores will get her wish for a full-on humanity versus Host revolution.
Basically – we predict a riot.
Westworld returns to Sky Atlantic on 16 March, being simulcast with the show’s debut on HBO in the US.

And as fans will well know, each series will see a host of famous faces who make guest appearances and on Thursday night’s episode we will see Sam Troughton play Malcolm Simmons.
But the question is, is he a murder suspect or the victim?
It’s no secret that it is the exotic location that attracts actors to take part in the hit BBC show, but ahead of the showdown tonight, the Trial of Christine Keeler star revealed what goes on while filming – from ‘pretend camping’ to a flock of chickens fighting over a fried egg.
Speaking about the most ‘memorable’ thing on set, he exclaimed: ‘I saw a flock of chickens go to town on a leftover fried egg.
‘It was mental.’
But what about the camping on the island of Saint Marie that had to be fun right?
Ralf Little is playing our new detective (Picture: BBC/Red Planet/Philip Volkers Source: Generics)
The actor continued: ‘Not really. The camping we did in the episode was very much pretend. It got pretty spicy once it got dark.’
Sam, who recently played Aleksandr Akimov in Chernobyl, said it wasn’t the first time he had worked with Two Pints of Lager actor Ralf.
Something prickles Nevilleâs fancy this weekâ¦
Our new D.I. starts to embrace life on the island and even does a spot of shoppingâ¦for mosquito repellent.
He added: ‘Ralf I’d worked with on Robin Hood a few years ago so it was great to work with him again as well. He was a great host.
‘I’d worked with Chloe on Trial of Christine Keeler so it was lovely to see her again.’
The synopsis for tonight’s Death in Paradise reads: ‘A desert island survival course goes wrong when the leader – a trained survival expert and ex-SAS soldier – is found dead in the forest of a remote island near Saint Marie. Suspicion soon falls upon the other participants on the course, but with all of them providing one another with an alibi, how could any of them have committed the murder?
‘With DI Neville Parker still unable to fly back to Manchester, his help is requested to solve this mysterious murder. Neville and Commissioner Patterson follow a lead that takes them back to the remote island, but with a storm on the horizon, will they be caught upstream without a paddle?’
Death in Paradise airs on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.

Susan Warne killed her uncle in cold blood (Picture: Quest Red)
Details of how a ruthless killer who murdered her uncle for just £300 will unfold in a new documentary tonight.
Susan Warne admitted to pushing 80-year-old John Proctor down the stairs and stabbing him to death, before filming her confession on her mobile phone.
The details will come to light in a new docuseries titled The Lady Killers, which will bring new information to light.
The 41-year-old killed her uncle just three days after attempting to mug an elderly lady to fund her crippling gambling addiction.
The fit, active and well-liked pensioner lived in the sleepy market town of Leiston, Suffolk before his untimely death.
And in 2015, Leiston was rocked by John’s sudden and brutal murder after he was found lying at the bottom of his stairs. He had been stabbed and strangled in a violent assault.
The documentary will see detectives who led the investigation speak out about how Warne – who was struggling with a severe gambling addiction – had attempted to rob an elderly woman in a neighbouring town just three days before carrying out John’s murder to help fund her addiction.
Susan admitted to pushing John Proctor down the stairs (Picture: Suffolk Police)
Up until murdering her uncle, Warne had lived an ordinary life, she was a loving wife and mother who owned a successful landscape gardening business and enjoyed walking her dog.
But Warne’s life began to crumble when she was forced to give up her business due to injury.
‘There would have been a huge loss of identity, loss of self-esteem,’ Gambling Therapist Liz Karter explained in the documentary. ‘And, I would expect, a loss of a way of staying mentally and emotionally healthy.’
Struggling with the change, she began gambling, but what seemed like an innocent pastime at first quickly spiralled out of control.
As Detective Kevin Heywood, the case’s lead investigator explained: ‘Susan probably started gambling online and became more and more ingrained in that behaviour, gambling more and more money. Of course, the bigger the debt, the bigger you gamble.’
With her debts mounting up, Warne’s situation was dire. Looking to fund her addiction, she began stealing and, as she became more desperate, her behaviour quickly turned violent.
Susan then stabbed her victim to death (Picture: Suffolk Police)
‘A 90-year-old lady was attacked in the pretty little town of Walberswick,’ former Detective Peter Bleksley commented.
‘Susan had tried to mug this lady, and this was only three days before John Proctor’s death.’
Detective Heywood explained Warne told John she had split from her husband and pushed him down the stairs just so she could rob him – but things took a turn when she realised he would go to the police.
‘He was found to have broken some bones, probably as the result of a heavy fall down the stairs,’ he began.
‘There were stab wounds to his neck that severed the carotid artery and there were signs of strangulation.’
Just hours after savagely killing her uncle, Warne deposited £300 into her bank account and went gambling at a nearby amusement arcade.
John’s murder rocked the entire community and with substantial evidence pointing towards Warne as the perpetrator, it wasn’t long before her crimes caught up with her and she was brought into custody.
Detective Heywood went on to explain that police then made a discovery that would prove to be the tipping point in the case against Warne.
He continued: ‘When we took possession of Susan’s mobile phone, there was a sort of video log on that mobile phone that we managed to extract, which again gave us a little bit more detail.
‘The wording I cannot be exact on, but the video content said something along the lines of “I’m sorry for what I’ve done, I can’t take it anymore, I love you all”.’
During Warne’s Police interview, the guilt she felt for her crime became too much to bear, he added: As we put that content of that video diary to Susan in interview and put the question to her of was she responsible for Mr Proctor’s death, she broke down, put her head in her hands, and said “yes, I can’t take it anymore I need to tell the truth”.’
Susan Warne pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life in prison, ordered to serve a minimum of 20 years.
The Lady Killers premieres at 10pm Thursday 13 February exclusively on Quest Red.

**Warning: This article contains spoilers for Vikings season six.**
Vikings’ Ragga Ragnars has shared a Valentine’s Day throwback to the time she spent it on set with her co-star Alicia Agneson.
To mark the romantic occasion, the duo flooded each other with love on their socials, as they remembered making dinner together two whole years ago.
Taking to their Instagram stories, the actresses, who both play queens in the History Channel hit, posted the same video of the Katia star cooking a meal.
While chopping up her veg on the cutting board, the 23-year-old could be heard humming away as she did a little dance.
‘She was my Valentine’s date two years ago,’ Ragga wrote in the caption: ‘Lucky Queen I am! Queen Katia cookin’ and singin’ for me.’
The 35-year-old then shared a behind the scenes snap of them both posing in their Nordic gear.
‘When Queens stick together… Oh, darling, that is a whole new kind of love,’ she said before tagging her date in the post.
Alicia’s journey on the historical saga has been rather complex, seeing her original character Freydis killed off before she returned to the show as the Rus princess Katia.
Alicia sang to her date in the sweet snap (Picture: @RaggaRagnars / Instagram)
‘I mean…you will find out quite soon,’ she told Metro.co.uk earlier this month.
‘There was quite a big spoiler in the last episode where Hvitserk joins [the group] in Russia and he can’t see the likeness [between Freydis and Katia]. It’s only Ivar.’
Alicia continued: ‘I suppose you don’t really know yet…but it’s in the eye of the beholder. We’ll see what happens and if she does know something about Freydis.’
She then went onto discuss the ending, adding: ‘I think when you run a show that’s been going for a long time.
‘You’re always worried about that [backlash]. ‘But when we read the final episode everyone was just quiet for two days on set to take it in. I hope the fans love it as much as we did.’
Vikings season six is set to return to the History Channel and Amazon Prime later this year.

Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips shocked the nation – and the villa – when she revealed she has feelings for Luke Mabbott in scenes that aired earlier this week.
The 25-year-old contestant confessed her attraction for Luke M in conversation with Mike Boateng, but not everyone’s convinced that her feelings are genuine, least of all Metro.co.uk’s body language expert Judi James.
Judi really isn’t buying Shaughna’s sudden interest in the Justin Bieber lookalike and she reckons it’s all part of a game plan to stay in the villa.
‘I really do smell a rat, I’m afraid,’ she began in our latest episode of Love or Lie Island. ‘I think that was very much out of desperation. You don’t suddenly go, “Oh, actually I fancy that one over there”. They’re in such close quarters you’d know by now and Mike didn’t have an inkling.’
Judi also pointed out that Shaughna masked her face with a pair of sunglasses as she told Mike how she feels about Luke M, and that says a bit.
‘She had her shades on so we couldn’t see her eyes, which is a classic cut off,’ she explained. ‘It means that she was probably thinking, “Can I get away with this one?”‘
Shaughna Phillips revealed she has feelings for Luke Mabbott (Picture: ITV)
Are her feelings for the Justin Bieber lookalike genuine? (Picture: Rex)With the Love Island finale now in sight, Shaughna’s sudden bombshell might be part of a game plan.
‘I think Shaughna has realised she’s in a popular position. She’s watched the show before, she knows this is the Amber position and that reflects to me her personality. If they’re absolutely tied together, she knows this is the Amber position.
That being said, Judi added that if Shaughna does genuinely have feelings for Luke M, the romance might not last long due to his passiveness.
‘If she is interested in him, she’s interested in the same way she made the mistake with Callum [Jones]. He’s [Luke M] probably compliant, he’ll probably do what he’s told. He’s a lot younger.
‘She’s got a man that she can control and she’s already realised that doesn’t work.’
Only time will tell just how real Shaughna’s feelings are for Luke M, but we’re secretly hoping these two are genuine.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Dynamo is back and better than ever in Beyond Belief (Picture: Getty)
Dynamo has revealed that he created the magic for his new show Beyond Belief from his hospital bed following his battle with Crohn’s disease.
The magician was diagnosed with the debilitating condition six years ago and put his career on hold to prioritise his health.
Now, speaking to Metro.co.uk on the Sky Up Next red carpet, the 37-year-old revealed that his new show has indeed been a long time coming.
‘It’s kind of six years in the making. I started making it six years ago before I got sick,’ he told us.
‘I had to put it on hiatus until I got better and then I actually came up with 90% of the magic that’s in the show from the hospital bed.’
Dynamo, real name Steven Frayne, also admitted that even though his battle with Crohn’s saw him reach some very low points, it’s this new magic that ensures he’s back and better than ever.
He added: ‘In some ways hitting rock bottom, hitting that dark place, I was able to create light from it.
Beyond Belief will see Dynamo’s most ambitious magic ever (Picture: Sky UK)
‘In some ways, what I’m doing now is so much more rewarding because of it.’
And it seems the new three-part series, coming to Sky One this year, will be worth the wait.
‘I’ve put everything into it,’ Dynamo claimed. ‘And in my opinion, it’s the best magic I’ve ever done.’
And that’s certainly saying something.
Dynamo previously suffered from a swollen face due to the disease and the treatment required, sharing a post on the pain he endures every day with the illness.
In 2017 he confirmed that he would not let it affect his career, sharing with fans: ‘The pain is different for everyone who has it, but it’s excruciating for me.
‘Still to this day I wake up every morning in pain, the first hour of my day is taken up, I’m usually on the toilet for a long time in pain, [with] stomach cramps, sometimes internal bleeding,’ he said.
Dynamo: Beyond Belief comes to Sky One this year.

It’s nearly the end for Modern Family (Picture: Instagram)
Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has shared an emotional Instagram post where she revealed the cast of the hit comedy has completed their final table read.
The beloved show – which tracks the members of the wide-ranging Prichett-Dunphy-Tucker clan – will air its series finale on 8 April in the US.
Now, Sofia has taken to Instagram to most a massive memento in the final days of Modern Family – the cast’s final table read together.
In the sitcom, she plays the role of Gloria Maria Ramírez-Pritchett, the second wife of family patriarch Jay (Ed O’Neill).
‘Our last table read,’ the Colombian actress wrote. ‘Sad because it’s ending but so grateful and happy to have been able to be a part of this family.
‘It has being [sic] more than I ever dreamed of or deserved. Gracias my Modern Family #11years.’
And it’s fair to say that everyone has changed a lot.
Modern Family cast share an epic throwback (Picture: Instagram)
Sofia, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ariel Winter all shared the image which saw the cast recreate the same poses that were taken in 2009 as they began filming the pilot season.
But back in 2009, the cast including Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen, Ed O’Neill, Sarah Hyland, Rico Rodriguez, and Nolan, gathered for a group photo to commemorate the first table read for the first script.
‘Ten years ago we took the first cast photo outside our first #modernfamily table read. Today, the ending begins,’ shared Steve Levitan, the co-creator of the show.
‘The last first table read with my Modern Family. I love this cast and crew so much. Happy season 11,’ added Ferguson.
In the 11th season, viewers will get to see series star Sarah’s character Hayley become the mother of twins.
However, speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she revealed that this was originally planned as the show’s last ever moments, with callbacks to the first-ever episode marking a full Circle Of Life moment for everyone.
‘Going into season 10, I was told beforehand that Haley was going to be pregnant, and this is also when season 10 was going to be our last season,’ Sarah explained.
‘I definitely was like, “That would be a really beautiful, full 360 to pay homage to the pilot, wrap it all up with everybody being together and having this new modern family”, but now we have another after it, so we’ll see how they actually decide to end it.’

There’s been no shortage of drama on winter Love Island, which has packed in all the usual recouplings, quarreling and mugging off that we’ve come to expect from the dating show.
While this year has been a little quieter than previous ones, we’ve seen Callum Jones ditch Shaughna Phillips for Molly Smith, Luke Mabbott getting messed around by… just about everyone, and a fair few love triangles.
One person wrote: I’m gonna be fuming if Shaughna and Luke M happens, it’s painfully staged.’
Just days ago, Luke M’s pairing with Demi raised similar concerns.
One user said: ‘Absolutely love Demi and luke but that was so staged, yesterday the public was like omg they would be so cute together and all of a sudden she likes him a bit absolutely gassed for them but I hope they weren’t told to do that #loveisland’ while another moaned: ‘Love island is just becoming so staged.’
Iâm gonna be fuming if Shaughna and Luke M happens, itâs painfully staged, Laura Whitmore tweeting she wanted it to happen a few days ago all but confirms that. Demi and Luke would have been such a good pair ð¡ #LoveIsland
In the past, people have also suggested the show uses actors after eagle-eyed viewers believe one girl featured in the local shop as a check-out girl and in the Island club behind the bar.
So, how real is the action in the villa and do relationships take off organically or are they engineered by producers?
Is Love Island staged?
This week, Sophie Piper hinted that producers orchestrated some of the scenes which led to explosive rows in the villa.
Rochelle Humes’ younger sister said bosses would steer the islanders to talk about particular topics during their time on the reality show, although she insists Love Island isn’t massively staged.
When asked whether things were staged or if they happened organically she claimed: ‘A bit of both, but it’s not massively staged. Producers might suggest, “Why don’t you talk about this and that?”‘
She said: ‘You have to tell the producers on-site if you are planning to have an important chat or do something,’ she said. ‘So they make sure the microphones pick it up and the cameras get it.
‘If you forget they would call you in and ask you to film it again. Liv Attwood had to dump Sam Gowland twice last year, which was embarrassing for both of them!’
Sophie says the show unfolds more ‘naturally’ than people think (Picture: Rex)
In 2019 a whistleblower told Mail on Sunday that many of the on-screen scenarios are ‘very, very fake’ and that contestants are ‘given lines to learn’ – however the show has strongly denied these claims,
And some former islanders have said the show appears to now be scripted but that this is a new phenomenon.
The Sun also claimed in 2018 there was a 408-page cheat manual that detailed how the islanders could manipulate votes to get their love rivals out of the villa.
Are some of the scenes staged for dramatic purpose? (Picture: ITV)
The show takes a break on Saturdays to give the islanders time to relax.
Former contestant Chris Williamson once explained: ‘There was a day every week where footage wasn’t needed, which was liberating as you could talk about anything.’
Contestants Montana Brown and Amber Davis were once spotted getting their hair and nails done outside of the villa.
Love Island bosses have staunchly denied any of these allocations, refuting the report and that scenes are staged.
A spokesperson from the show said: ‘As anyone who watches the show regularly would know, Love Island is a combination of reality and produced elements that are reflective of what’s happening in the villa, and is a fair and accurate representation of villa life.
‘It is absolutely untrue to suggest that Love Island is fake, staged or scripted. The opinions they have and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.’
Khloe Kardashian reacts to sister Kim inviting her ex Tristan Thompson to dinner
Kim Kardashian had a dinner date with Tristan Thompson during her trip to New York and it’s safe to say her sister Khloe was pretty surprised.
Kim had invited Khloe’s ex-boyfriend of three years to dinner, after he called her to tell her he was basically next door to the hotel where she was staying during her trip to the big apple.
Of course, she then made sure to get Khloe up to speed, who commented that it was ‘beyond generous’ of Kim to have done so.
Kim dropped the news over FaceTime and in a new teaser clip for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she told Khloe: ‘I get a call on my cellphone from Tristan and he’s like, “Oh my god, I’m right next door.”
‘He’s like, “What are you doing?” So I’m like, “I’m gonna go have dinner with my friends, do you wanna come?”‘
A little shocked, Khloe said: ‘You invited him to dinner?’ before Kim then tried to explain the impromptu decision.
She said: ‘I was just like, “What did I do? Is it a bad look? Should I not invite him to dinner?”‘
Khloe told Kim that she has to do what she feels is ‘best’ and if that means having a drink with him, then ‘there’s nothing wrong with that’.
Just to recap, Khloe split from Tristan last year when she found out he had cheated on her with Kylie Jenner’s ex-BFF Jordyn Woods at a party in LA.
It came after she famously found out, while in labour with their daughter True the year before, that Tristan had cheated on her multiple times. She decided to make a go of their relationship for the sake of their daughter, but enough was enough when Tristan’s kiss with Jordyn later surfaced.

‘I don’t think what Tristan did was obviously right. Like, that’s not my thing and I brutalised him, but I also know that that’s True’s dad,’ Kim said.
‘Mum cheated on dad, you know what I mean?’ she told Khloe. ‘And all of their friends forgave mum.’
At the time, Khloe told Tristan she couldn’t accept the ring but she’s since been seen wearing it, so does that mean she’s maybe changing her mind about him?
Only time will tell.

During the challenge where contestants have to guess what big stories have made the news, Paige Turley found out a seemingly inflammatory fact about her now-boyfriend, Finley Tapp.
The headline in question read: ‘Casa Amor causes Callum, Finn and Nas’ head to turn on tonight’s Love Island.’
It’s safe to say that Paige was not happy at all, and scenes tonight will show the pair having a serious debrief.
Siannise Fudge also discovered her partner Luke Trotman told the boys they got ‘naked’ in the hideaway, leaving her doubting whether or not she trusts him,
So, who turned Finn’s head? And does Paige have anything to worry about?
Who turned Finn’s head in Casa Amor?
The girl in question was…current housemate Natalia Zoppa.
When the boys entered the second villa, Luke told them: ‘Boys, I personally don’t think my head’s going to turn. However, there is… Molly, Natalia and Jamie…’ he trailed off.
Finn then went on to have a ‘cheeky chat’ with Natalia – and even sucked her toe (in a challenge, obv) – but despite this, he stayed loyal to Paige throughout Casa Amor, even sleeping on the day beds.

So, are Shaughna and Luke M going to couple up? And could they even win? We take a look at the odds.
What are the odds of Shaughna and Luke M coupling up?
According to Ladbrokes, there is a 5/6 odds on the pair coupling up, which is a probability of around 54.5%.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: ‘There are so many triangles in the villa right now but things could pan out for Shaughna who looks as though she’s taken a liking to Luke M. With the final just days away Luke might just make a tactical move on his admirer.’
Not only that, the betting company have placed an odds of them winning the show – despite them not being coupled up – at 9/2,
That puts them in third place after established couples Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge (6/5) and Finley Tapp and Paige Turley (13/8).

Love Island’s Mike Boateng has been called a game player (Picture: Rex)
Love Island star Mike Boateng’s brother has pointed out that while the islander is openly playing a game in the villa, the other contestants also have tactics of their own.
Police officer Mike has been branded a game player during his time on the ITV2 show, having moved onto Jess Gale after being dumped by Leanne Amaning and then jumping ship to Priscilla Anyabu during Casa Amor.
But Mike’s brother Samuel has insisted that the other islanders also have strategies in place, they just so happen to be a lot safer and inconspicuous.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Samuel said: ‘Michael’s the only one openly playing Love Island. Everyone else is almost trying to play it safe. With Michael, he’s going all out to find love. He’s got six weeks and he’s pursuing whoever he can with all his might – and that’s what I love. I love to see it.
‘The others are staying in safe couples and not really going out there and doing the most. That’s not Love Island. You’ve got six weeks.’
Mike is currently coupled up with Priscilla (Picture: Rex)
Samuel continued: ‘Michael is a police officer has no time to find a girl, that’s the truth. He’s genuinely going in there to find somebody and with Priscilla that seems to be it right now.’
Giving examples of the other islanders also playing games, Samuel pointed out how Shaughna Phillips has all of a sudden revealed that she likes Luke Mabbott, and how Nas Majeed returned to the main villa with Eva Zapico after Casa Amor despite having a thing with Demi Jones.
‘Every individual you can brand as a game player,’ he added. ‘Even Finn for example. When he went to Casa Amor, I can promise you he was definitely tempted to look at other girls. The reason he didn’t was that he knew if he did that he’d get bashed. Everyone’s playing a game.
‘I don’t understand why people are only specifying Michael as playing a game. For me, I feel like people are putting a spotlight on Michael which isn’t necessary. In actual fact, he’s actually going in there looking for love. I think people need to realise there’s no time in there. It’s not real life, it’s a reality TV show.’
Time certainly is fleeting in the Love Island villa with the finale already on the horizon, and we all know the show can be so fickle.
Can we really blame Mike for game playing all things considered?
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Poor old Demi Jones fell flat on her face during tonight’s episode and we can’t lie, it might just be the funniest moment of the series.
The 21-year-old style advisor was walking through the garden to have a chat with Shaughna Phillips when her heel caught the deck causing her to slowly fall over.
It took a couple of seconds for Demi to completely stack it, and when she finally hit the ground she lay there defeated as the other islanders laughed in hysterics.
‘Are you okay?’ asked Shaughna as Mike Boateng rushed over to help pull her back to her feet.

‘That was so dramatic!’ cried Luke Mabbott from afar. ‘Demi, Demi! Oh bless her man.’
Unsurprisingly, the whole of the Twittersphere were also in stitches over the moment and rushed

‘The way Demi just laid on the floor after falling has me dead,’ laughed one.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another posted: ‘That was surely the best thing that’s happened on love island, possibly ever. The trip, the slow-mo fall, the bang, the laughter from everyone else. Superb.’
What made the situation even worse though, was that Demi had no idea Shaughna was pulling her for a chat to tell her she likes Luke Mabbott.
Talk about kicking a girl while she’s down.
After Demi was dusted off, Shaughna sat her down and said: ‘I feel like I want to have a chat with Luke. I feel like I’ve always had a flirty banter back and forth.’
Demi replied: ‘I understand if you want to go and speak to him, you go speak to him. You do you and I’ll do me. At the end of the day, we’ll stay friends regardless of what happens.’
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.

Thursday night’s episode of the show saw Demi still cracking on to the Justin Bieber lookalike, despite telling Luke she’s interested in getting to know newcomer Jamie Clayton, but her choice in conversation topic was just outright bizarre.
First of all, she asked Luke if he had ‘ever seen a birth’, she then told him that she ‘watched a birth’ and if she didn’t think that childbirth would set the mood, then Demi tried her luck with breastfeeding.
Stood chatting to Luke and sandwiched in between his legs while he sat on the kitchen island, Demi asked him the million dollar question: ‘Were you breastfed?’
Cue Twitter absolutely losing it.
One fan wrote: ‘Demi talking about child birth and dilation to Luke and that’s her flirting #LoveIsland.’
Fans had a lot of questions about Demi’s approach to flirting (Picture: Twitter)
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Chat up line of the year there Demi #LoveIsland#LoveIslandUK.’
We would love to know what went through Luke’s head in that moment…

Shaughna said: ‘This is a very uncomfortable conversation for me – which is why I’m smiling because I feel uncomfortable right now – I feel like I want to have a chat with Luke M.
‘I think Jamie’s solidified this a bit for me. I’m just like absolutely, I don’t have feelings for you at all. I don’t feel like that for Luke, I feel like we’ve always had flirty banter back and forth.’
Understandably, Demi, after the initial shock, got a little upset, as she’s decided that, like Shaughna, new boy Jamie isn’t for her, but Luke M is.
That means both Shaughna and Demi are at risk of being dumped from the villa and, quite frankly, noone wants to see either of them go.
No pressure, Luke. No pressure.
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.

Things got tense between Paige and Finn tonight (Picture: ITV)
Love Island saw one of its most solid couples start to crack tonight as Paige Turley admitted that she was feeling like an ‘absolute mug’ after having a tense chat with boyfriend Finley Tapp about his head turning in Casa Amor.
To say that Paige wasn’t happy would be a bit of an understatement, bless her.
‘There’s now a headline putting you in the same category as Callum and Nas,’ she told him. ‘How do you think I’m meant to feel about that?’
She continued: ‘You came back and you asked me two days later to be your girlfriend. I feel like an absolute mug.’
Finn, however, wasn’t backing down and insisted that he only had eyes for Paige during their time apart.
‘I didn’t do one thing in Casa Amor that I regret,’ the 20-year-old explained. ‘I was respectful to you the whole time. I feel like I’ve come back here with [my] head held high. I feel proud.’
The dreaded News Splash game that may have ended things for Paige and Finn (Picture: ITV)
Paige wasn’t having any of it, saying: ‘So you feel proud that your head was turned?’
‘My head wasn’t turned,’ Finn insisted. ‘If they wanted to pull me for a chat, I’d go but after one chat, I shut them down. The boys, the girls that have lived with me 24/7 in Casa Amor know how I acted.’
Paige then discussed her deep-seeted trust issues, coming from relationships in the past where she’d been cheated on.
Even though it doesn’t look like the couple will be splitting up, it’s clearly tested them.

The boxing legend opened up about hitting rock bottom (Picture: ITV)
Tyson Fury has opened up on his mental health in his new documentary, revealing there was a point when he ‘wanted to die on a daily basis’.
The boxing legend, who’s gearing up for a rematch against Deontay Wilder, has been open about suffering from depression and anxiety, with the documentary Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King revealing all about his personal life.
‘I always knew that I was unwell, but I always put it to the back of my mind because I had a job to do,’ the 31-year-old said.
Speaking about becoming the world champ, he went on to say: ‘You’ve achieved everything [you dreamed of] and you’ve got no further to go.’
‘I woke up wanting to die on a daily basis,’ the sportsman admitted. ‘I was eaten up by depression.’
Tyson described himself as ‘a man who had everything…and he ain’t happy.’
Reflecting on his mental health, he added: ‘We’re made to believe success is happiness. It’s very untrue.’

He went on to recall the day when he attempted to take his own life, before deciding against it at the last minute. Thankfully, he and his wife revealed he’s doing much better at the moment.
Fans have been sharing support on social media after the first part of the documentary, with one writing: ‘Watching the @Tyson_Fury #GypsyKing documentary and what a top guy he actually is, it just shows you that no matter what you go through in life you can always bounce back even at your lowest points.’

Another added: ‘What a beautiful man inside & out.’
It’s boxing and routine that have kept the star going, with him recently telling The Independent that he ‘feels suicidal every Sunday.’
‘I look forward to Saturdays,’ he said. ‘I do a long run in the morning and then I will do something with the kids or whatever I can.
‘Then Sunday comes and every Sunday I am absolutely suicidal – every single Sunday whether I am in camp or I am at home.’
Tyson added: ‘That is Sunday. And then I go to bed on a Sunday night thinking yeah Monday is tomorrow I can start my stuff again. Back to the gym, back to the coffee shop, back to the lunch, back to the kids.’
Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV.
