Mary Berry delivered some savage feedback in the semi-final of Best Home Cook, as the remaining contestants were really tested in the kitchen.

After rustling up canapes for the first round, the second round had them truly stumped as they were tasked with making a meal out of a tin of tuna.

With Oli having to sit the second round out after falling ill, it was Suzie, Georgia and Sarah that had to work their magic.

Georgia and Sarah really struggled to rustle up something decent, both presenting salads to judges Mary, Angela Hartnett and Chris Bavin.

Georgia probably got the worst of the criticism, as Chris didn’t think much of her Nicoise salad.

‘You have given us an incredibly simple dish,’ he said.

‘We would have liked to have seen more cookery going on in this dish.’

When Mary tried it, she immediately winced as she tasted the vinegar Georgia had put on her red onions.

She told her: ‘The one thing that is hitting me is vinegar. It’s very very sharp.’ Angela added that the contestant had ‘killed’ her salad with the amount of vinegary flavours she had added.

The harsh feedback didn’t go unnoticed by viewers who felt they went a bit too hard on the semi-finalists, who aren’t professional cooks.

Mary was also unimpressed with Sarah’s effort, telling her that she had wasted her valuable cooking time.

‘I don’t think it’s enough,’ she said. ‘I think you had an hour of faffing about.’

Angela added: ‘It’s a semi-final, we’re expecting a little bit more. You didn’t plan this well.’

As a result of their poor performance, all three ended up in the eliminator round with Oli.

Ultimately it was Oli who was sent packing, meaning next week will be an all-female final with Sarah, Georgia and Suzie battling it out for the title of best home cook.

Hopefully the judges will be a bit kinder next time.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has announced a slew of guest judges for season 12 – including pop star Normani, rap icon Nicki Minaj and US congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez.

Joining regular judges Michelle Visage and the titular star RuPaul himself, it looks like the new cohort of queens will be in the presence of some actual pop culture queens too.

The Super Bass star’s involvement has already been teased – and she’s the big attraction of the opening episode, like Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus before her.

Coming in hot on her heels, however, are Normani and AOC. The former Fifth Harmony member had a major breakout last year thanks to her solo hit Motivation, and AOC has quickly become one of the most recognisable faces of American politics.

Posting on their official Twitter account, Drag Race shared videos of all three women who proudly ‘pledge allegiance to the drag.’

It’s also been confirmed that Whoopi Goldberg, Jeff Goldblum and Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley will also be joining the panel for one-off stints.

A brand new trailer previously dropped, seeing the Chun Li hitmaker make her debut on the popular show.

‘Welcome to the main stage of RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ the rapper said as she stunned in a bright red outfit and wig.

Pointing at the camera, the 37-year-old introduced herself, adding: ‘Show up and make history. Boom.’

The star teased her appearance on the show back in July when sharing a picture of herself posing in the iconic dress on Instagram.

Without revealing what the look was for, she told her fans: ‘I remember when I cried like “why me?” Now I wouldn’t Exchange my life for Armani.’

First Dates got seriously emotional tonight as the Valentine’s Day special saw one singleton open up about the awful acid attack she fell victim to.

Beauty queen Sophie bravely talked to her date Bailey about how she had acid thrown over her face on a night out, which sparked ‘the most horrific year’ of her life.

‘A year ago I was caught in the crossfire of an acid attack in a nightclub in London,’ Sophie began. ‘I was out dancing and I got it on my face and my body. It was like a pain I probably couldn’t describe.

‘It was the most horrific year of my life. I spent 10 months going to the hospital every single week.’

Speaking to the cameras, she continued: ‘All I could hear was people screaming, “Oh my God, what’s on her face?” and I hadn’t seen it myself but I could tell they were talking about me. As much as I was hoping that it wasn’t and they were talking about someone else, it was me.’

Sophie then broke down into tears as she added: ‘For most girls, your worst fear would be to have acid thrown in your face. Seeing that for the first time in the mirror was the hardest thing I’ve had to go through.’

Thankfully though, doctors managed to treat Sophie’s burns and without make-up on, she only has white marks.

‘I’m really lucky,’ she said.

Turning the horrific ordeal into a positive, Sophie then explained how she went on to compete for the Miss England title for charity.

‘The whole reason I did it was because of what happened to me,’ she said.

Sophie and Bailey ended up hitting it off and before the credits rolled, it was revealed that they were planning a third date to continue their romance.

First Dates continues on Thursday at 10pm on Channel 4.

The Inbetweeners star David Schaal doesn’t mind being known best for his Terry Cartwright role in the classic sitcom.

The E4 show, which followed the misadventures of four socially inept lads at school, saw David play the father of loudmouth Jay.

David is proud to have been a part of The Inbetweeners, which marked its 10th anniversary last year.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘I get recognised most for The Inbetweeners. That was the thing for the last ten years that has been my bread and butter really. It’s dying a little bit now but I occasionally get recognised.

‘I feel so lucky. What a great show to be involved in. I loved everybody on that show.

‘The writers were great, all the other actors were great. I’ve got some good friends from that. The slightly eccentric Alex Macqueen.’

Asked if he would be up for 20 year reunion, he laughed: ‘If I’m still alive yes! Working on this [play] might shorten my life.’

The play he is referring to is the sold out West End production Time, about four criminals who are thrown together when a bank robbery goes wrong.

It also stars Paul Danan, Michael Head and Daniel O’Reilly – better known as Dapper Laughs – in his first theatre role.

David was full of praise for his co-stars, telling us: ‘Working with what as I would describe as raw talent in Dan and seasoned talent in Paul and Michael is really exciting.’

Meanwhile Paul spoke about how much fun the actors had altogether on set.

‘Its been hilarious,’ he said.

‘We’ve only had a week to rehearse and that’s what’s been bringing us together. We’re actually really good friends all of us.

‘It’s a family at the moment and it’s like we’re all married. We can argue but we can laugh so much that we’re actually laughing where we laugh in the play, there’s a lot of humour in the play and fun and good times.’

To say that everyone has been moving mad for the past 24 hours would be a bit of an understatement.

Cracks in the show’s strongest couples have started to show and a Justin Bieber lookalike has become the must-have man of the series.

Tomorrow night’s dumping could change the villa as we know it – we’re scared

We genuinely feel quite nervous going into tomorrow night’s recoupling.

As things stand – it sets to change the villa possibly forever in the biggest shake-up since Casa Amor.

This time yesterday, we wouldn’t have felt the same, only Shaughna Phillips’ bizarre confession about fancying Luke Mabbott (more on that in a bit) has meant that, basically, the internet-proclaimed queen of the villa has closed herself off from an easy match with new boy Jamie and is now solely relying on Luke M choosing her over Demi (who, lest we forget, he has snogged).

‘These last few days have been mad,’ Luke told the boys at the end of the episode. ‘I don’t want to see anyone go, but there’s big decisions to be made.’

Shaughna, when speaking to the Biebs lookalike, said: ‘I know I’ve thrown a spanner in the works a little bit. I believe in whatever decision you make anyways.’

We think maybe at this point the public support for Shaughna is so strong that Luke’s feelings could be changed via osmosis.

Shaughna, like Amber Gill before her, has become the woman scorned of the villa thanks to Callum Jones dumping her after Casa Amor for Molly.

Despite this bringing some short-term hardships, it’s actually the best thing to happen to her – endearing her to the public and she basically already has her copyright for the phrase ‘congrats hun’ signed, sealed and delivered to the nearest fast fashion brand of her choice.

We thought much like Amber, Shaughna would then have her prince charming dropped in by producers and her path to final was ensured.

But Shaughna clearly had no interest in Jamie and, wandering around the villa like a woman lost, has now clearly lost her head a bit and decided that she actually fancies Luke M.

Look, we’re not saying that she’s doomed – but what relationship has ever started well with the boy replying ‘for f**** sake’ once you tell him you like him? Eek.

Paige Turley and Finley Tapp’s cracks are starting to show

Paige Turley and Finn Tapp are, clearly, the Tommy Fury and Molly Mae Hague 2.0 of this year’s villa, they can practically smell that £50k.

However, the age gap has always worried us and Paige’s trust issues are clearly working against her as their once solid coupling seemed to unravel dramatically thanks to one headline.

Paige has already admitted she ‘feels like an absolute mug’ and that’s never good news, right?

To Finn’s credit, his head never turned in Casa Amor and his solid, resolute reassurances to Paige were lovely to see but we don’t know if she believes him.

Look, obviously they’re going to stay together for the next recoupling but after that…who knows?

Demi Jones asks Luke Mabbott if he was breastfed and we’re sorry hun…what?!

Demi Jones has, slowly, wormed her way into centre stage in the villa and if she continues to make such absurd, avant-garde comments such as this we say – welcome, queen!

In last night’s episode, she confused viewers with her flirting skills when she asked Luke M firstly, if he’d ever seen a birth, and secondly,  whether he was breastfed. Yes, seriously.

Stood chatting to Luke and sandwiched in between his legs while he sat on the kitchen island, Demi asked him the million-dollar question: ‘Were you breastfed?’

If there is one thing guaranteed to get the people on your side, its some physical comedy.

To see Demi absolutely stack it like she was on an episode of Miranda when she was on her way for a very serious chat with Shaughna was a delight to see.

Like we said above, we may have all underestimated Demi. She’s risen like a phoenix from the ashes of her mugging off by Nas Majeed and is well on her way to becoming one of the villa’s more established personalities.

Honestly, is this the funniest moment of the villa? Probably.

Love Island’s Sophie Piper has confessed she thinks Nas Majeed and Demi Jones’ relationship was forced.

The 23-year-old was booted out of the villa where she was reunited with her man Connor Durman.

And since leaving the popular dating show, the Essex girl has shared her views on the couples.

‘I 100 per cent thought it was,’ she said on Heat’s Under the Duvet with VOXI when asked if it was fake.

‘There was so much pressure for Nas to find someone and she was the only single girl that came in,’ the star continued.

‘It was more chilled about it in the villa but it got made out to look like they were in love.’

The dumped islander was joined by her buddy Leanne Amaning, who opened up on Nas’ bold move, which saw his head turn in Casa Amor.

During the game-changing moment on the show, the builder from London forgot all about his gal Demi and decided to couple up with new bombshell Eva Zapico.

Leanne said: ‘He did nothing wrong and just went with his heart. He was respectful about it as well.’

Yet, despite doing what he thought was best, the original islander was booted off the show when it was put to the public.

Since then he has spoken out about his time in South Africa, confessing: ‘The only thing I would do differently is not kiss Eva on the first night in the main villa.’

He added on Love Island’s sister show, Aftersun: ‘In my defence, me and Eva were talking under the covers, when it was light, I think Demi assumed we were kissing which is when she got upset.

‘But we actually tried to be a bit more respectful and try and kiss silently, when the lights were off… out of sight, you couldn’t hear us.’

The 23-year-old laughed: ‘But at the same time, to explain that to Demi was still a kick in the teeth. So I’ll hold my hands up, I do apologise.’

ITV has reportedly axed Jason Manford’s daytime show What Would You Kid Do? after two series.

The hilarious programme saw parents spying on their children in school as their kids took part in a variety of classroom activities and games, where they were tested on everything from empathy and lateral thinking to curiosity and rule-breaking.

Jason would then challenge the parents back in the studio to predict what they thought their child would do in each situation.

The family with the most correct predictions were sent through to the final.

The only difference with the show was that it wasn’t the adults picking the prizes, it was the kids.

The show has been running for two years but it has been reported that ITV want to have a bit of a ‘shake-up’ so are cutting the ‘deadwood’.

‘The shows did okay in the ratings but ITV wants to freshen up its schedule a bit so is cutting some of the deadwood,’ a source began.

‘There are no plans to bring back the show in the future, so it’s goodbye for now,’ they claimed to The Sun.

The news also follows after popular dating show Take Me Out has been cancelled.

Earlier this week, host Paddy McGuinness spoke of his sadness as he joked. ‘I better get to the Job Centre’.

Taking to Instagram to share the news with his followers the ITV host exclaimed: ‘Hello friends it’s time to say goodbye to Take Me Out, eight weddings, six babies and a generation of youngsters who have grown up watching us on Saturday night.

’10 years that’s before Tinder, Snapchat, Twitter was a little baby, Instagram wasn’t a thing and Whatsapp, that were just witchcraft.

‘What I am most proud of is the success of Take Me Out as it put dating show back on the TV map, thank you to the boys who braved the love lift and more importantly the stars of the show, the girls.  I am going to miss spending my Saturday nights with you.’

He continued (as he dramatically dropped his daughter’s microphone):  ‘And for one last time it’s lights out, all out.

‘Right better get to the Job Centre.’

Love Island’s Demi Jones took a tumble in Wednesday night’s episode, seeing her faceplant the villa’s decking.

And Kate Garraway couldn’t get over how elegant her fall was, as she compared the moment to the time she tripped over at Cannes.

While presenting Good Morning Britain with her longtime co-host Ben Shephard, the 52-year-old praised the islander on her stylish faux pas.

‘She is down and out,’ the reporter laughed as she watched back the clip: ‘She didn’t drop the glass and that is style I think.’

Kate added: ‘Beautifully and elegantly done though, keeping her knees together at all times.’

The programme then played a short video of Kate pulling Ben down with her while enjoying their time at Cannes.

Explaining what went on, the mum-of-two giggled: ‘Cannes Film Festival, walking down the prom, I fell over and took Ben down with me too!’

Drawing all the similarities with Demi, she smirked: ‘Didn’t spill a drop though! He’s been carrying me ever since, haven’t you?’

Love Island fans were left in hysterics as Demi appeared to trip in slow motion after her heel got caught on the decking.

When she finally hit the ground, the 21-year-old lay there defeated as the other islanders laughed at their fellow contestant.

‘Are you okay?’ asked Shaughna Phillips as Mike Boateng rushed over to help pull her back to her feet.

‘That was so dramatic!’ cried Luke Mabbott from afar. ‘Demi, Demi! Oh bless her, man.’

What made the situation even worse though, was that Demi had no idea Shaughna was pulling her for a chat to tell her she likes Luke Mabbott.

Talk about kicking a girl while she’s down.

Married at First Sight’s Michael Goonan has opened up about one of his worst dates – and it was so bad it left him terrified of birds.

The 29-year-old decided to explain his fear of birds after he had a rather awkward encounter with his wife, Stacey Hampton, during their wedding on this week’s Married At First Sight.

Michael recalled one of his most disastrous dates was at a bird sanctuary and he ‘freaked out’ after a bird landed on his shoulder.

He was so scared he had to flee the enclosure.

‘So I’ve legged it out of the bird enclosure… I was shaking and we finished the date,’ he began.

‘I did not have the guts to message that girl again I was that embarrassed,’ he told 9Now.

The company director went on to explain that the incident left him so traumatised, that he can’t even look at a bird now without being paralysed with fear.

‘These birds were landing on me, they were coming at me like Apache helicopters… To this day I can’t even look at a seagull at the beach, it’s just terrifying,’ he added.

Michael and Stacey met on Married At First Sight, a show where a group of singletons agrees to marry partners chosen for them by a group of relationship experts.

The couple had never even met each other until their wedding day, and despite them having a rather rocky start to their marriage (it’s not been very long) they seem to be getting on better now.

The pair had a rather awkward wedding before falling out on their honeymoon, only to make up by the end.

Stacey and Michael also boasted about their strong connection during the show’s first dinner party on Wednesday night.

Strictly Come Dancing bosses fear that Oti Mabuse might quit the show after the Kelvin Fletcher romance rumours left her ‘devastated’, it has been reported.

The drama all began after Kelvin’s wife Liz Marsland unfollowed him on Instagram after pictures of him on a night out with Strictly dance partner Oti emerged.

The Emmerdale actor, 36, was spotted out with the professional dancer in the early hours of the morning, grabbing a nightcap at the Sanctum Soho Hotel.

They had previously been partying with their fellow Strictly stars and were seen heading into the hotel at around 3.30am, according to MailOnline, with the BBC winner looking tense on the phone just hours later.

However, there is no suggestion the pair are anything more than good friends.

Oti, 29, is understandably upset at claims there is anything going on between her and the former Emmerdale actor, who walked away with the glitterball trophy in December.

An inside source from the BBC claimed bosses were now worried about whether the rumours would make Oti question her future on the dancing show.

‘Oti is a massive asset for the show,’ the source began. ‘But at the moment she is very unhappy and upset at all the reports and has been left saying “do I really need all this BS?”.’

‘She is married and has a lot of respect for Kelvin’s wife and wouldn’t carry on in this way,’ they continued to The Sun.

The source went on to explain that pals close to Oti are worried that she will just ‘throw her hands up and pack it in’.

Both Kelvin and Liz were keen to brush off any speculation about their marriage, being pictured sharing a kiss as actress Liz dropped her husband off at a train station.

Kelvin told The Sun: ‘Everything is amazing.

‘I am just a little bit bewildered by all the attention. But I am sure it will all blow over.’

Liz also explained why she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.

Liz wrote on Instagram: ‘That ring is heavy. It only comes out on special occasions!

‘Oh and it was fake tan day. #Nodramahere.’

JLS recently confirmed they’re getting the band back together and it turns out Max George is more than excited about the news.

When appearing on Good Morning Britain, the 31-year-old was quizzed over whether or not The Wanted could ever make their comeback.

And while discussing how he’d be up for getting the boys together again, he also shared his views on the JLS revelation.

‘Do you know what?’ he told Kate Garraway: ‘I am buzzing about that. I got told that just now because I’m rubbish at keeping up to date.

‘But I am buzzing that JLS are doing that, they’re the nicest guys, honestly, yeah they really are.’

Pressed if that could happen with The Wanted, the Glad You Came hitmaker teased a potential reunion for their 10th anniversary.

‘I would do it the lads know I would do it,’ he beamed: ‘It has been 10 years since our first single, so what better time?’

However, if it were to happen, the singer is still unsure if they’d able to get Jay McGuiness on board, as he confessed: ‘He’s hard to get hold of.’

JLS, who are made up of made up of Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold, made their huge announcement earlier this week seeing them reunite after going their separate ways seven years ago.

‘We are back, we are back together,’ Marvin enthused when appearing on The One Show: ‘We can’t wait to be back on tour at the end of the year.’

‘Yes, and we’re very excited to be on The One Show this Friday for a very exclusive performance of some of our hits,’ JB added.

Oritse smiled: ‘Looking forward to chatting with you then and seeing our fans on Friday.’

The group, had been dropping hints left, right and centre that they could be reuniting this year to mark their 10 year anniversary,

So could The Wanted do the same? We sure hope so!

Final footage of Gary Rhodes shows the celebrity chef watching the sunset just hours before he died.

The father-of-two passed away in November last year after suddenly collapsing during a trip to Dubai, where he was filming his new TV show.

And now scenes that were recorded during his final hours will be used in an upcoming documentary on his life, Gary Rhodes: The First Rock Star Chef.

Pictures have been released seeing the late star sat on sand dunes as the sun went down behind him.

According to the Mirror, Ainsley Harriott who is presenting the show, says in a voice-over: ‘As the sun set on what would have been his final day of filming, Gary felt on top of the world.

‘Later that evening at home with [wife] Jennie, Gary collapsed and was rushed to hospital suffering from a subdural haematoma.

‘Two days later, and with his family at his bedside, he died.’

When filming had wrapped for the day, Gary headed back to the luxury Grosvenor House hotel, where his restaurant is situated.

Here he had dinner with his wife Jennie before he was taken ill and rushed to hospital after suddenly collapsing.

At the time, his family confirmed: ‘In order to end painful speculation surrounding the sudden passing of our beloved Gary Rhodes OBE, the Rhodes family can confirm that after a successful day shooting with Rock Oyster Media for ITV here in Dubai, Gary returned home in a very happy mood for a peaceful evening with his wife Jennie.

‘After dinner, Gary unfortunately collapsed in their residence and was rushed to hospital but unfortunately passed away due to subdural hematoma.

‘At this time, there are no other details and the family would again request privacy around this very tragic loss and again, thank friends and family for their ongoing support at this time.’

A subdural hematoma is usually caused by a head injury, and causes blood to collect between the skull and the surface of the brain.

The condition can develop soon after a severe injury or sometimes days or weeks after a minor head injury.

It’s happening again. After Lucifer was confirmed to be ending on its fifth and final season, the devilishly seductive drama has found another lifeline and could be renewed for a season six after all.

Lucifer was cancelled by Fox after its third cycle before being picked up by Netflix in June 2018 following a ferocious campaign from Lucifans.

The series lead by Tom Ellis subsequently became Netflix’s highest trending show for months which made the streaming giant’s decision to pull the plug more than a little baffling.

TV Line now reports Netflix and Warner Bros. are in talks to keep Lucifer running for at least one more pop, although neither parties have confirmed the news themselves just yet.

Ellis, who stars as Satan himself, previously described the #SaveLucifer campaign as ‘nothing short of ridiculously overwhelming’.

‘Since doing Lucifer, I’ve done press in various parts of the world, and I’m fully aware that this show is much more popular than what it had seemed to be on Fox… So I’m not surprised about people being angry,’ he told TV Line.

‘I just wasn’t ready this tsunami of love that came with it.’

Lucifer’s next chapter will be split into two parts. ‘Netflix is going to drop eight episodes, then there’s going to be a little break, then another eight episodes,’ Ellis explained.

Jet from Gladiators has recalled the terrifying moment she had a near-death experience after suffering a nasty fall during one of the shows.

Gladiators was a family favourite in the 90s and Jet aka Diane Youdale has opened up about how the fall not only forced her to quit the show but bosses also banned the obstacle she fell from.

The star, who turned 50 this week, explained that during one of the unaired shows in 1996 she fell from the pyramid and felt her neck crack after competing with one of the contenders.

She told how she had the contender in her arms in a rugby tackle before they both went ‘flying through the air’.

‘By the time I hit the floor at the bottom of the pyramid, my head was in the way,’ she began.

The star, who was 26 at the time, knew she had hurt her neck as she remembered hearing the ‘snap before’ and thought ‘have I broken my neck?’

After being taken to hospital Diane was given the diagnosis by doctors that she had compressed her spinal cord and as they explained she was ‘lucky to be alive’.

But it turns out things could have been a lot worse for the celeb as being so ‘bendy’ had actually saved her from breaking her neck.

She then had the tough choice to either stay on the show or to quit.

She told The Sun: ‘I made that choice, and that was to leave.

‘I just thought “I’m out of there”. I’m sorry, but that was too close for comfort.’

It follows after there were rumours that Gladiators was going to back a comeback.

Last year, Michael Van Wijk whose alter-ego was Wolf begged producers to bring back the show.

‘To be perfectly honest with you, hand on heart, I could do every single game blind-folded. I’m so fit now, I’m raring to go,’ he said on Lorraine Kelly.

Alan Carr is adamant that he won’t be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing any time soon.

The 43-year-old will feature alongside professional dancer Oti Mabuse on Friday night’s episode of The Graham Norton Show.

And while discussing how his marriage has changed since his husband Paul moved onto a farm, the host couldn’t help but quiz the comedian over a potential ballroom debut.

‘They ask me to do it every year,’ Alan confessed as he added: ‘And I say “no,” because it’s too much like hard work.’

However, that doesn’t mean the Chatty Man can’t dance, as he went onto joke about his signature move being the slutdrop.

Alan said: ‘I used to be able to slutdrop, but I can’t anymore, I’m at that age. I like Oops Upside Your Head because you get to sit down!’

He then went head to head with the studio audience in a dance-off, seeing Oti step into her sister Motsi’s shoes and judge the competition.

After the energetic performance, the funny-man spoke about his living arrangements, adding: ‘Paul has a farm, but I love London. I go to see him and I mince around in my wellies, which is enough for me.

‘I don’t like excessive eye contact with animals that are pooing.  It’s not me – I like espresso martinis in London. So, he comes to London and I go down there – we have the best of both.’

While Alan is sure that he won’t be putting on his dancing shoes, it has recently been reported that bosses of the show fear Oti will not come back after rumours of a romance with Kelvin Fletcher made headlines.

The drama all began after Kelvin’s wife Liz Marsland unfollowed him on Instagram after pictures of him on a night out with Strictly dance partner Oti emerged.

The Emmerdale actor, 36, was spotted out with the professional dancer in the early hours of the morning, grabbing a nightcap at the Sanctum Soho Hotel.

They had previously been partying with their fellow Strictly stars and were seen heading into the hotel at around 3.30am, according to MailOnline, with the BBC winner looking tense on the phone just hours later.

However, there is no suggestion the pair are anything more than good friends, with both parties keen to brush off speculation.

Anna Kendrick has revealed that she once accidentally made fun of Dom Parker from Gogglebox after he offered to help carry her bags at a hotel.

Awkward.

The Pitch Perfect star joined Strictly’s Oti Mabuse, Justin Timberlake and Alan Carr on The Graham Norton Show, which will air tonight, where she go into detail about the awkward encounter.

It turns out, the 34-year-old loves how the British speak and she ended up mimicking the Gogglebox star’s posh accent when she was visiting England.

‘I like that because there are so many accents for such a small country, everyone puts on voices,’ she began.

‘I was checking into a hotel once and a man came out and said (she uses a perfectly clipped upper-class British accent), “Do you need help with your bags?” and I thought he was putting on the voice so I said (she uses the same voice), “We’ve been travelling all day, you’ve no idea”.’

She continued: ‘But they kept talking like that, so I had to slowly transition out of it.

‘I was back in the country several years later and they were on TV on Gogglebox because it was Steph and Dom. So, they actually talk like that and I was accidentally making fun of them to their face.’

The Cry Me A River singer, who is starring in the new film Trolls World Tour with Anna, was also on the show to speak about his latest role.

‘We have deduced that every time we try to describe the plot to the Trolls films we sound like we are on some sort of chemical substance,’ he laughed.

‘You’re given parameters to be creative within. It was my mission to create music that is for everyone, not just the kids.’

Anna interrupted as she joked: ‘He was a monster to work with on the music. He’d be behind the glass saying, “Do it again, but better!” Adding more seriously, “I really had fun and I knew I was in good hands. He’s my parachute.’

Brendan Cole has opened up about the effects of the ‘Strictly curse’, admitting the speculation of a relationship between dance partners can ‘ruin lives’.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, 43, spoke out on the speculation around Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse, something the pair have denied.

The so-called Strictly curse was coined after several relationships ended up splitting around the time one half of the couple appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, and got together with their dance partner.

Brendan himself was one of the first who appeared to fall victim to the curse, after splitting with his girlfriend and former dancing partner Camilla Dallerup when he was paired with Natasha Kaplinsky.

He admitted on Lorraine that the rumours – even if untrue – can be very damaging to a relationship, explaining: ‘You have to be careful. The thing about Strictly is, you are in a relationship with your dance partner, of sorts.

‘Whatever kind of relationship that is, we don’t necessarily know. Take lovely Oti and Kelvin this week, they’ve been pictured going to the hotel for the big party with all the other guys.

‘This sort of thing ruins lives. His wife Liz, Oti’s husband Marius, they’ve got children Liz and Kelvin, the rumours that fly around, it’s hopefully not true, there’s nothing going on.’

When Lorraine told Brendan that Kelvin had denied there was anything going on, he responded: ‘You do have to be careful but you create chemistry together, and Kelvin and Oti will probably be lifelong friends because they have been through something so… they won it.

‘They’ve done the whole thing, of course they’re going to be close friends. Occasionally it does go slightly differently, I think it was just seen on Dancing On Ice that two people got together and after two months they’re getting married. Wow.’

Describing why it happens sometimes Brendan admitted: ‘It’s not like an office romance, it’s not like where you see somebody across the table and you go “oh she’s quite nice” and you meet them at the lunch room.

‘You’re close right from the start, you are holding hands, you’re going through something so personal and very emotional, that’s the thing.’

The cast of Parks and Recreation have reunited for Galentine’s Day seeing the beloved gang back together again.

Earlier this week, the episode of the comedy that brought the celebration into fruition marked its 10th anniversary.

And it seems the stars of the show jumped at the chance for an epic and very adorable reunion.

Taking to Instagram, Aubrey Plaza shared a picture of herself posing alongside Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, and Kathryn Hahn.

In the caption, she instantly sent her following into meltdown by wishing them all a happy Galentine’s Day.

‘Best day of the year!’ one wrote, quoting the infamous line from the series, while another added: ‘Ovaries before brovaries.’

Someone else teased: ‘Where are the waffles and extra whipped cream at though?’

Celebrities all across the world have been celebrating the romantic occasion, including the Kardashians, who have gone above and beyond to spoil each other rotten.

Khloe Kardashian took to her Instagram story where she shared a string of photos full of sweet treats.

And while she was eating chocolates sent from their momager Kris Jenner, Kim K was opening all the gifts with her hubby Kanye, and their brood.

The mum-of-four uploaded a number of videos showcasing a range of presents all wrapped up in heart paper.

One of them (sent from Koko) even had Kanye’s face on a bright red background printed all over it.

And their youngest sister, Kylie, also joined in the celebrations, with heart-shaped toast and cupcakes.

The Beckhams also got on board the annual celebration, along with Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher, Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon, and even Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden.

Eamonn Holmes was left a little bit puzzled on This Morning today as he shared with viewers what his wife Ruth Langsford got him for Valentine’s Day.

The ITV show started off by the host reading out a hilarious (and romantic) poem he had written for Ruth, but then he brought up the topic of what present his wife got him for the special occasion.

‘Ruthy left me a present, it was a beautiful bag beside the bed, it was done with lovely red tissue with hearts on it,’ he began.

‘And then I delved into it and I took out a plastic bag.’

Ruth insisted: ‘It’s not a plastic bag.’

Eamonn then argued back: ‘It’s a see-through sort of make-up bag thing.

‘What has that got to do with Valentine’s Day?’

Ruth simply answered: ‘Well I couldn’t have got you chocolate – you don’t need chocolate. What else could I have got you? So when we travel together and you go through airports and you have to put toiletries in a plastic bag and you moan moan moan.

‘I thought it was thoughtful.’

Eamonn responded: ‘You’re way of telling me you love and adore me, is to give me plastic Tupperware?’

He added: ‘Darling, I am just puzzled by it, it would be the equivalent of me buying you an iron.’

Viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the gift, and while some branded Eamonn ‘ungrateful’ others thought Ruth was being ‘thoughtful’.

One tweeted: ‘Eamonn holmes stop being ungrateful. You should be grateful for your present from Ruth it sounds like she thought it would be a very useful present.’

A girl has been dumped from Love Island after another shock recoupling with the boys in the driving seat.

Last night viewers watched on in horror as Shaughna Phillips desperately made a play for Luke Mabbott who has otherwise been starting to strike a romance with Demi Jones.

And the power is ultimately in Luke M and new boy Jamie Clayton’s hands as they decide which single girl – either Shaughna, Demi or Natalia Zoppa – they want to couple up with as we head into the final week and crown our winner on February 23.

And we’re really scared for national treasure Shaughna, TBH.

The 25-year-old didn’t strike up the chemistry with Jamie and out of nowhere realised she had feelings for Luke M which came as a massive shock for him, us and the rest of the villa. Demi was so stunned she stacked it.

Viewers haven’t bought Shaughna’s bombshell one little bit and Metro.co.uk’s body language expert Judi James confirmed there is nothing there whatsoever in the latest episode of Love or Lie Island.

‘I really do smell a rat, I’m afraid,’ she began in our latest episode of Love or Lie Island. ‘I think that was very much out of desperation.

‘You don’t suddenly go, “Oh, actually I fancy that one over there”. They’re in such close quarters you’d know by now and Mike didn’t have an inkling.’

She added: ‘She had her shades on so we couldn’t see her eyes, which is a classic cut off. It means that she was probably thinking, “Can I get away with this one?”’
